As soon as he had said it, people were shouting. Mostly his and Kuei's advisors. He and Kuei remained silent, watching each other for a while, until their advisors had worn themselves out.

"We'd only be paying for the land," Zuko continued, once everything was quiet. "The buildings, the cities individual wealth, those were only made by the colonists that now live there. And, if we can't come to an agreement, we'll be continuing with our plan to move the cities as a whole. The land itself is all that you would be left with.

"However... If I am allowed to buy the land the colonies are on, I would be willing to also trade. For a reduced price in the land, I will leave certain military outposts as is. Pouhai, Ketu Harbor. All of our equipment will be removed, but the structures will remain."

This got the Earth Kingdom delegation talking. Kuei leaned over to listen to the general as the man whispered in his ear. The advisor was quick to get his attention, leaning in to whisper as well. Zuko watched, and waited. Finally, Kuei leaned forward.

"If I agree to this," Kuei said, frowning. "Then how will we determine the value of the land?"

"It will take a while," Zuko admitted. "We'll keep Pouhai and Ketu Harbor on lockdown, while a team made of both Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom people goes to assess the land of the colonies we'd be purchasing. At the moment, I'm thinking only three: Yu Doa, Linsho, and Hu Xin. Then, once we know the price of the land, we have Pouhai and Ketu Harbor assessed. If the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom teams can't agree on the price, we meet in the middle. If they do agree, they'll be given additional payment."

Kuei was nodding and frowning in thought. Seeing that their king was giving it genuine thought, the advisors leaned to whisper to each other. The only one that seemed to have any issues with it was Aang.

"But that wouldn't be balanced," Aang said, far more serious than Zuko had ever heard. "The world needs four separate nations. You can't have balance if one Nation is taking land from another."

It's then that Zuko remembers... Aang is only thirteen. He's almost four years Zuko's junior, and while with adults that difference isn't much, as teens... It's everything. Aang is naive, likely hoping that the world could go back to the way it was before he went into the ice.

But that just wouldn't work.

"Aang," Katara said, drawing Zuko's attention. "What four nations are you talking about?"

The young Avatar blinks. "Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Water Tribe," he lists, gesturing to Zuko, Kuei, and Hakoda in turn, before gesturing to himself. "Air Nomads."

Immediately, Hakoda stands up. "I think we should be done for today," he said, eyes locked on Aang. "Fire Lord Zuko has given his proposal for the colonies, and it will need discussing with your advisors, don't you think, King Keui?"

Kuei nodded. "Oh, yes!" He eyed Aang as he stood. "I suppose it is something I need time to... Yes. I'll see you all at dinner. We're having Water Tribe food."

Zuko watched the king leave. He had a feeling that 'water tribe food' just meant a lot of seafood to the Earth King. Rather than point this out, he turned to look at his own advisors. His expression was enough to get them to clear the room.

Once it was just Zuko, Aang, and the Southern Water Tribe family, Hakoda spoke again.

"Aang, my tribe is it's own Nation," Hakoda said, slowly, as if he was speaking to a child. Zuko supposed he was.

"Right," Aang said. "The Water Tribe."

"No, Aang," Sokka snapped, his arms crossed. "We're the Southern Water Tribe. Of the Water Tribes."

Katara held up a hand, moving to stand next to Aang. She bent down a little, so she could look him in the eye.

"Aang," she said slowly. "The Southern Water Tribe is it's own Nation. Separate from the Northern Tribe. We're both connected to the element of water, but we are not the same. It's why Iroh made sure you invited my father and Chief Arnook separately. Because we're our own governments."

Aang looked so confused. "But there's four elements, for four nations."

"Are the waterbenders we found in the Foggy Swamp water tribe?" Katara asked. "Do they need to leave the Earth Kindgom and move to the North or South Poles?"

Aang frowned. "No, but..." He trailed off, as if he wasn't sure what he meant to say.

"A part of politics is discussing changing borders," Zuko said. "While it was wrong for the Fire Nation to take the land, it's natural to negotiate for it. To trade for it. And Kuei has every right to say no, and if he does, I'll move the colonies."

"And," Sokka cut in. "Didn't Kyoshi Island used to be part of the mainland? Before Avatar Kyoshi moved it? You know, to create a new border?"

Aang blinked. "Oh... I guess... I guess you're right." He ducked his head. "I guess I don't know what I'm doing here. Maybe I should leave..."

Zuko reached out, putting a hand on Aang's shoulder. "Aang, you're the Avatar, but you're still young. The only way you'll learn is by being here. Start by being the mediator. If we start arguing, step in and have us calm down."

"You've done your part," Hakoda agreed. "Ending the war. Now let us do ours. Making sure it doesn't start again."

Season 2 has fed us once more!  I’m still busy with writing the Scrap Immortal and the Avatar.  For writing inspiration, I’ll be busy rewatching Avatar:  The Last Airbender

I realized that Jet's theme is very similar to Indiana Jones' theme. I've been watching Indiana Jones on repeat to gather character inspiration since then.

Now the characters are not 1 to 1 copies, for example, Jet isn't an archeologist. However the character development and interactions are what I'm looking at. Since we didn't get a Book 4 in the canon, I can only point to Katara and Marion for evidence. Now keep in mind that ATLA was made in 2005-08, so the characters would only be inspired by the first 3 Indiana Jones' movies, excluding the 4th and 5th.

Marion stated that she was a child and in love, "child" meaning young adult that was naive to the ways of the world just to clarify. Katara fell head over heels for Jet, naive and inexperienced with romance. Indiana re-enters Marion's world in a similar fashion as Jet did to Katara. The guy walks to the girl while her back is turned, then she hits him, having been hurt by him in the past and holding a grudge.

Now imagine if there was a Book 4 to work out the remainder of Jet's character. It would include 2 more potential romantic interests and issues with a father figure.

I'm still working out the character interactions with Azula and Jin.

I like the idea of Jin being a secret airbender agent working for the Earth Kingdom government. I imagine that the Dai Lee knew of Zuko and Iroh but chose to watch them instead of acting in order to not cause a disturbance. Ba Sing Se had an isolationist view of the war, keeping it a utopia, not allowing the war to be mentioned in the walls. So in order to keep a closer eye on Zuko and Iroh, they send in a secret airbender agent to watch them. Zuko stated that the girl knew they were firebenders, what if his hunch was right? She didn't even bat an eye when the lanterns were lit without explanation. But in that moment, maybe she thought, "huh, maybe this firebender isn't a bad guy."

Now I have a problem with the character of Willie. I get she is a spoiled singer celebrity and is otherwise helpless in adventures but she had very little to do with the plot and screamed for half the movie. Azula would be more capable and could hold her own. My favorite part was when the elephant was bothering Willie. I want to give Azula a sky bison named Ari and accidentally form a lifelong bond with it but she pushes it away, resistant to forming meaningful attachments.

Why do I want to give her a sky bison you might ask? I'm drawing inspiration from Hindu gods and she is in part inspired by Indra that has a flying white elephant named Arivata. But that's a story for another day.

Most importantly, I want there to be tension between Jet and his grandfather like Indy and his father. Why does Jet have a similar fighting style to Jeong Jeong? What was the thing that drove them apart? Did Jet learn that his grandfather was a Fire Nation colonel/admiral before he cut ties to him or does he learn of that in Book 4? My theory is that Jeong Jeong's cover name was Lee and Jet's full name is Jet Lee (haha get it? Jet Li) and Jeong Jeong just called him Junior because Jet looks so much like himself. Maybe that's why Jet dropped Lee from his name, wanting to burn bridges with his grandfather. Then as Jet is hanging off a cliff and Jeong Jeong is holding onto him, Jet is reaching for the assassin's knife, a symbol of his need for revenge on Colonel Mongke. Jeong Jeong for the first time calls him Jet, telling him softly to let it go. 😭😭😭

Hello to the 2 Zukka fans who may actually see this, i bring you Free Thoughts of a 2 am snacker!

Zukka hockey player/figure skater au

Now, i know what you’re thinking: Lydia! Tupp! This has already been done before!

And you would be correct! However! My brain has tweaked it in a way i have personally yet to see (wink wink nudge nudge drop the fic links if you’ve read this before)

So! My thoughts on the subject:

Hockey Player Zuko and Figure Skater Sokka

Zuko, child figure skating prodigy who suffered a tragic accident, is hidden away for two years before he reemerges under his Uncle’s care as a fierce hockey competitor after everyone said he’d never skate again

Sokka, who’s sister Katara became a World Junior Champion at 16* in ice hockey and who Sokka feels he can never live up to, enjoys after-hours figure skating on the same ice he works to maintain. Sokka, who watches singles programs galore and learns his favorites and recreates them, posting them to youtube for his 6 followers (Hakoda, Bato, GranGran, some kid name Aang, and two other anonymous strangers). Sokka who has a natural grace to him despite the obvious lack of formal training, who skates like he’s got everything and nothing to lose, whose love for the art shows in every glide and every turn. Sokka who gets discovered one day by an old grumpy coach who offers to give him a few tips. Sokka who is a fast learner and spends ages 14 to 18 quickly climbing the local ranks.

Zuko, who, at 16 faces a second injury that takes him out of hockey forever. Zuko, who has just been officially disowned as his own sister takes to the spotlight. Zuko, angry at the world, lashing out at everyone around, but goes willingly with his uncle when Iroh suggests a change of scenery 6 months into his recovery. Zuko who is determined to skate again, if only for himself, if only to prove that yes, he is strong enough to come back again. Zuko who strikes a deal with local ice rink that if he sits and runs the front counter during the day while his uncle runs the popular new tea shop inside the rink, he can use the rink after hours once his injury is healed enough. Almost 17 year old Zuko who stays late to reorganize some papers behind the counter one night and sees Sokka step onto the ice and go through vigorous warm ups and exercises. Zuko, who drifts a little closer and watches as Sokka is told he can skate anything he wants for the first skate. Zuko, hearing the song from the last program he ever skated come on through the speakers and watching as Sokka skates through it easily, with a passion Zuko himself had never managed to feel. Zuko, who occasionally stays behind to secretly watch a pretty boy skate and never gets caught for 4 more months. Zuko, who is finally cleared by his physical therapist to get back on the ice but with orders to take it slow, gliding carefully out onto well-taken-care-of ice for the first time in almost a year in skates very different from his last pair, and it feels strangely like coming home.

Sokka who watches a stranger hesitantly enter the rink. He comes to the rink on his nights off when everything at home becomes too much. He loves his sister and his parents- because Bato never needed to marry his dad to be a second father to him- and he even loves his sweet crazy old GranGran, but sometimes it all gets to be too much. They know he’s seriously training in figure skating now but they’ve never come to any of his recitals**. Its not that they dont care, but theres always something else going on. “Oh, we cant, Katara has her out of state tournament that weekend” or “Oh no bud Im so sorry, Bato and I are going on a late anniversary trip that day” or even “I have too much homework, Sokka, I’ll come to the next one, promise!” The only one who never makes an excuse but he also never actually sees in the audience is GranGran (this’ll be important later on wink wink). So, when things get to be too much and Sokka gets tired of having to be the loudest person in the room just to simply be acknowledged, he comes to his safe place. The rink after hours. Sokka watches from the upper shadows as the stranger takes careful, measured, practiced glides. Like riding a bike for the first time in ages, they’re hesitant at first before they slowly gain traction. At first, he thinks the stranger is just going to glide from one end to the other all night but instead he watches as they slowly begin a few exercises. Very familiar exercises. (Do you see where im going with this?) And then, they turn around, and Sokka is suddenly breathless because before him is the most beautiful boy- the most beautiful human- he’s ever seen. And sure, maybe Sokka has always fallen too fast and too hard, and sure, Sokka has literally never talked to this boy in his entire life, but Sokka looks at him and sees that look on his face and knows. ‘He’s just like me.’

Zuko who keeps coming back and lingers before Sokka gets on the ice. Sokka who stays late to watch Zuko retrain himself. Piandao who is sick and tired of watching these two boys dance around each other when they could clearly be learning from one another because, though Zuko had not trained in figure skating in years, he had been a true prodigy and he picked it back up easier than he should have been able. Piandao who was Zuko’s first coach before his father transferred him to Zhao’s guidance. (Jeong Jeong, a retired pro hockey player who is tired of listening to his husband bitch all day anout oblivious idiots because they’re starting to remind him of himself and Piandao when they were young and headstrong.) Jeong Jeong who finally takes matters into his own hand and tells the boy who runs his front counter that Piandao would like for him to come to Sokka’s next practice and then tells Piandao to “Stop whining and do something now, I’ll see you at home” with a kiss on the cheek as the two boys shyly trade introductions.

Zuko who begins helping Sokka with his training even as he himself recovers and relearns. Sokka showing up on the nights Zuko skates alone with greasy takeout and the occasional baked good his GranGran made that day. Sokka and Zuko curling up on the couch in the back office watching old figure skating videos on an old laptop and Sokka finally realizing exactly who Zuko is as Zuko finally realizes Sokka is that one youtuber he watched for years when he was younger. Zuko laughing and telling him that the random subscriber Aang is actually a friend of his and the other anonymous subscriber was just Zuko’s second account after he lost the password to the first.

On one of their casual skate nights, once Zuko is back to full strength, Sokka suggests they learn a pairs skate tongether for fun. Ike a trust exercise!” He says as if he hasnt been dying to know what it would feel like to skate in tandem with Zuko since he first saw his face. Zuko agrees and he and Sokka find a program they both like. They decide who’s skating what and then begin to fumble through learning their individual parts. A week or two later, they try it together for the first time, no music, and its not half bad. They continue to learn it together and notice that the more they skate together, the better they get individually. Zuko’s refined control gives Sokka a more polished look without smothering his passion while Sokka’s passion and fluidity allows Zuko to loosen up and actually enjoy what he’s doing. (1 hour mark)

Eventually, they put it to music, and Piandao and Jeong Jeong emerge from the shadows at the end of the song. Piandao asks them if they want to learn their own pairs program to compete together this year. The two boys share a look and agree almost immediately. The next few months are spent learning the choreography. Sokka and Zuko both go through core strength training and lifting weights because Piandao is currently planning to have them both lift each other at some point in the program.

Time jumps forward to the competitions and Zuko and Sokka blow it out of the water. This time, Sokka spots his GranGran when Zuko is pointing out and waving to his Uncle Iroh near the top of the rink. She’s sitting with Zuko’s uncle and he’s elated to see her there and yet, disappointed that his family still hasn’t come to support him. Time jumps again. Sokka and Zuko spends hours training and then hours on their off days hanging around Zuko and Iroh’s house or even Iroh’s tea shop. They ofc have spent all of this time in continual pining.

But, time jump to when they’re both 18 and 19 and they’ve both just qualified to skate pairs at Junior Worlds for the second year and this year they’re sure to win. They’re in Zuko’s kitchen, baking, and as they’re waiting for the over timer to go off, a slow song comes on. Sokka, in contrast to his norm, is quiet and gentle in the way he offers Zuko his hand and they slow dance in the kitchen with flour in their hair. They’re a little giggly and high on adrenaline but neither are sure who leans in first, only that they are both very much on board with the whole kissing thing. Despite the years of tension, the kiss is tentative and sweet. They begin dating and it only makes their program better. The love they have for each other so clearly pours over into their skating.

This Junior Worlds is the first tike GranGran finally drags the rest of the family by the ear to come and watch Sokka compete and to Zuko’s surprise, he sees Aang and a few of his other friends in the audience. Sokka and Zuko win (to no ones surprise).

I have been mulling over a Psych!AU for ATLA. I think it would be hilarious. I will probably not get around to writing it, but here's what I was thinking.

Katara in the Shawn Spencer role. She honed her skills with Pakku, her surly, not always supportive grandfather who came to live with her family when she was very young after her mother died. He saw her knack for puzzle solving and her preternaturally sharp memory. Katara has a strained relationship with him because of his deep rooted misogyny and his insistence that despite being a woman, Katara should follow his footsteps into law enforcement. It...is a weird dichotomy, and at the start of the story, it has been years since they spoke.

Sokka is her Gus. He's a tightly wound, neurotic overachiever who feels disappointed because after years of being the gifted kid, he ends up working as a pharma rep. He wanted to be an engineer or a bio-chemist, but it didn't work out (I haven't decided why just yet). He still pursues those interests in his own time, which makes him a valuable, if reluctant participant in his sister's schemes. He initially goes along with his sister's foray into psychic detecting in order to protect her, but eventually he gets just as into it as she is. Especially after he meets Suki.

Suki is our Juliette. She's a sharp junior detective who assists the sibling detective duo from time to time. She believes Katara's psychic abilities after a few times witnessing her solving cases. Well, she mostly believes it. She can't completely wrap her mind around it, but she also can't think of a rational, natural explanation for how Katara seems to know what she knows. As time goes on, she develops feelings for Sokka, the sarcastic, logical, goofy half of the detective duo. She often acts as a buffer between the siblings and her partner,

Zuko is the Carlton Lassiter of the story. He does not believe Katara's claims of psychic abilities, but like Suki, he hasn't come up with a rational explanation. Yet. Still, she gets results, he can't deny. Their relationship is rocky at first. Zuko was the best detective in the police department, until Katara started showing him up. He is a stickler for rules and procedure, and he hates how Katara and her brother just do whatever cockamamie thing pops into their head, and it works out. As they work together more, he feels like he's on the cusp of figuring her out, but he just finds himself more and more impressed with her. Eventually, they become friends, and after that, something else blossoms between them.

Toph is this story's Woody. She's a slightly unhinged ME with an attitude problem. She is probably not completely blind, but she's severely visually impaired, which makes people doubt her abilities. At first. But then they realize why she is the ME for the most prestigious police department in the area. She likes the way Katara and Sokka have shaken up the department, so she doesn't mind helping them out every so often. She knows exactly how Katara manages to solve these crimes, but she will take that secret to the grave, because she thinks it's hilarious.

Aang is McNabb, and if you've seen the show, you know I'm right.

Iroh is the chief Vic. He runs the department with efficiently and is the one who impressed the importance of the rules in his nephew, Detective Zuko. Unfortunately, he never could get the boy to be more open minded. Iroh has no trouble employing the services of a psychic detective, as long as she gets the job done. He also finds it amusing to watch his nephew trying very hard not to be in love with her.

Obviously, Pakku is the Henry. Hakoda is Hakoda. He's a good dad, but he left a lot of the work of raising his kids to his mother-in-law, Kanna and Pakku, her husband, while he worked to keep the entire household financially afloat. Now that his kids are grown and out of the house, and he works less, he is trying to keep them all connected. He's very proud of his kids, though he doesn't completely understand what exactly it is they're doing. Either that, or he occasionally fills the Gus role along with or instead of Sokka.

who's iroh ii's sister??

We have no idea! The idea of Izumi having a daughter is only mentioned in the B4 DVD commentary as a character and romantic side plot (for Mako) that was dumped in trimming down the story line. However, I love the idea of Iroh having a little sister so I've included her in my own headcanons as Princess Tai, a kind and bubbly girl ten years his junior who loves Iroh to absolute pieces even though he can be a bit of a dumbass. She's bright and takes her duties seriously but is far more of a homebody and much less ambitious than her brother. She loves the Fire Nation and its history and customs in a way that he can't. Tai is generally well-liked and a leader in her own right in areas that interest her like FN culture, where she takes a hand in organizing a lot of the major celebrations and exhibits. She misses her brother something awful but out of everyone in the family probably understands him the best, too, and knows that trapping him in the palace would be terrible for him as well as deprive the world of all that he could be. Iroh for his part welcomes Tai's perspective as a trusted advisor and would happily incinerate anyone who so much as looks at her funny. This is my sunshine x grumpy platonic pairing and I love them.

I've seen many different versions of Izumi's daughter over the years from talented writers and they're all so different, from a swashbuckling adventurer to an accomplished historian to a challenged older sibling to the future Firelord. They're fun to read and I hope we get to keep them instead of something official coming from Avatar Studios.

Frenemies AU angst

(I found this in my drafts and decided to post it. Based off this post.)

Iroh is a senior in military school or already in the military. The parents gaang is junior year in HS so around 16 and 17

Ozai still lives with Azulon but Azulon is hardly at home bc of work. When he is there or when Ozai knows he’s coming soon, he just doesn’t come back until he leaves again. Either stays with Ursa in her RV or roams around town in his car. Later stays with Hakoda and Bato when they become closer friends.

Azulon blames Ozai for Ilah’s death since she died during childbirth. He’s always been emotionally and verbally abusive to Ozai but it didn’t get physical until Iroh left for military boarding school. Ozai was 8-10ish. Mainly involved being burned or tased, which left less of physical scars.

There was a big fight between the two when Ozai announced he wanted to go to Republic Arts high school and pursue a career as a musician. Azulon wanted Ozai to follow his footsteps and go to military school like Iroh. But he backed off after Iroh vouched for his brother. Still, he refused to pay for the school but Ozai earned a scholarship and Iroh covered the rest. Ozai swore up and down he’d pay him back but Iroh just told him to give him free backstage access to his concerts and they’re even. Azulon and Ozai avoided each other after that; strangers in the same home. They physical abuse ended but the threat was still there and the mental scars lasting.

After the incident at the contest, Ursa finds Ozai sitting in his car at the school’s parking lot. She knows better to ask if he’s alright or what was wrong. Instead, she tells him to get into her car and they go back to her RV. There, they spend the rest of the night watching movies and cuddling. Ozai’s feeling somewhat better in the morning; able to speak some but not back to his usual loveable a-hole self. Though he is confused to receive a text from Hakoda of all people checking on him.

Hakoda: Hey man, you good?

Ozai: Are you seriously asking me if I’m good after burning a layer of my skin off?

Hakoda: You kinda just left after without a word.

Ozai: Because I burned a layer of my skin off.

Hakoda: Ozai, I’ve seen you explode over someone using your special pen without permission but you just shut down after burning your hand. Are you sure you’re okay?

Ozai: Who won?

Hakoda: Poppy.

Ozai: We’re going to be hearing about that for all next week.

Hakoda: She was pretty worried about you. We all were. You know, you can talk to me if you want.

Ozai: I just wanted to know who won. Now stop bothering me or I’m blocking you.  

Ozai closed his phone. Just then Ursa stuck her head through the door.

“Hey, my mom made pancakes. You want any?”

Ozai shook his head.

“Alright honey. Keep an eye on my children. I’ll be right back.”

Ozai smiled some as he rolled his eyes. Ursa always referred to her hoard of plants and succulents as her children. Still exhausted, he laid back down and pulled the cover over his head. Out of curiosity, he check his phone one last time.

Hakoda: Ok. See at school.

Ozai powered down his phone. He didn’t have the energy to be annoyed. He ran a hand along the bandages before drifting back to sleep.

The conversation they had in the janitor’s closet came flooding back. Hakoda’s seen Ozai fly off the rail many times, but that was the first time he looked guenically hurt. Hakoda’s clumsy joke about Dads also didn’t help. Hakoda cringed at the memory.

His mind drifted to the events after. The dark play Ozai wrote about the little boy slowly dying in the burning building wishing only to see his father again. Finally meeting Ozai’s father with his cold exterior and calculating eyes that made even the brash self-confident Ozai shrink back. And to top it off, Ozai saying he’d never seen his father look happier.

Hakoda didn’t know what to think at the time. He just assumed Azulon was like his father, criticizing his every move and lamenting how he wasn’t good enough.

Ozai refuses to bring it up despites Ursa’s suggestions of seeking professional help, even after he and Ursa wed and had children. Not until he lost his temper with Zuko and almost burned him like Azulon. Zuko’s horrified scream snapped Ozai out of it last second. Falling back onto old habits, Ozai took shelter in his car for the night and wept bitterly. Ursa finds him and directly tells him to get help which he finally relents.

It's very slow going but beneficial in the long run. Most importantly, his children never saw that side of Ozai again.

Thoughts I had during TGCF Season 2 Ep 1

I’ve finished my quarter and I am spending my spring break reacting to Season 2! Let’s make this reaction series count!

-And after every official flees the Trash god, one of my Junior Official OCs, Long He goes, “Huh, who is that dude?”  And then his dad, a Civil God will say, “That dude is the Crown Prince of Xianle.  His highness crown prince Xie Lian!” And then that Civil god begrudgingly brings his palm to his face.

-*Hears Mengyou calling his highness*: Ladies, Gentlemen and Enby friends, Him!

-This has the energy of giving someone a lanyard pass to visit a certain building

-“It’s not that hard!”  “You ascended hundreds of years ago you know better!” “Now keep it with you!”  Only like 4 minutes into the first Ep and that NPC is already getting the best lines.  (More of Lang Qianqiu’s trusty assistant later this season folks!)

-He sounds just like the English actor for Elam, Justin Briner, from the Heroic Legend of Arslan (another awesome historical manga!)  Coincidentally, Elam is also one of Arslan’s most trusted Allies.

-I can’t wait to write more of my ATLA x TGCF crossover, The Scrap Immortal and the Avatar, just imagine the Gaang’s reaction to learning that there’s more than one crown prince worshipped!

It was just a youth in red robes who was knowledgeable about the Ban Yue kingdom.  <- This incorrect quote is inspired by Zuko and Iroh lying to Commander Zhao about the state of their ship in episode 3, The Southern Air Temple.  (Does anyone else think that Xie Lian, is what would happen if you combined both Iroh and Zuko?)

-The face Xie Lian made when he’s trying to keep fibbing and brought his index finger to his cheek that was good body language
