@aurorialwolf made a post about a kid with Sam's genetics and this hit me like lightning
Darlin's working security at a D.A.M.N. event. An aura brushes past that feels all too familiar. But they're outdoors, broad daylight. So they focus their senses in tighter, zeroing in on the familiarity. The figure is shifty, cautious, skinny, just a kid, with sandy colored hair. Almost too young to be at D.A.M.N. They murmur into their walkie that they need coverage while they step away and check something out.
The walkie clicks with a 10-4 response and they're off, keeping their own aura subdued and non-threatening as they weave through the crowd back to the familiar freelancer. They reached a hand out to stop the kid but never make contact.
"What d'you want? I ain't doin anything wrong." A familiar accent. And their eyes... Suspicious, angry.
-
Sam kept next to nothing from his life as a human. Darlin had never asked why, never needed to. But when they were moving out of the house William had given him, there had been an old box. Dusty, unmarked, and untouched until Darlin had picked it up to load it on the truck.
They didn't ask about it until they were moved in at the new place. It was the last box left. They'd both been avoiding it consciously or not.
"Pictures, mostly. Keepsakes. Everythin that reminded me of my life... before," he'd admitted when they finally asked. They could feel his core pulse with conflicting emotion.
"Can I see?"
It had taken some convincing, but he did allow them to open the box. To dig into his past and open that part of himself back up. Most of the pictures were old, an entire tiny book binder with a floral cover of them he wasn't even in. He said his Grandma had given him before he'd escaped to Dahlia. There were a few in color, old Polaroids. One of that famous (or infamous) Viper tank top fitting 'as it was supposed to' on him at 17.
But there was one thing, in all the pictures of him, that stood out. That had his words echoing in their mind from a rooftop conversation.
-
The words echo in their mind now as this kid stares them down. 'Brown. My eyes were brown.'
"Didn't say you were, Collins. Come with me, let's grab some food and talk."
"How do you know my name?"
Their response is a raised eyebrow and turning to walk off with a cock of their head, expecting curiosity to get the better of suspicion.
The walkie crackles, Christian asking when they'll be back.
"Taking lunch," is sure to cause some bitching when they finally get back but the freelancer's aura is brushing theirs again.

See the thing with Tamlin having a daughter, he's absolutely a single parent and has no clue what the fuck he's doing.
So, balancing having a newborn with also rebuilding a Court from the ground up would be one of the most mentally taxing jobs he's ever had. He's so exhausted and can barely think straight or string a sentence together, and there's no real help in Spring, because most of the servants, or nurses, or anyone that could provide any support are still wary to enter.
So, he reaches a point where he's like, 'If I keep going like this, I'm not going to survive.'
Therefore, desperate times call for desperate measures, and Tamlin goes to one source of help that might take pity on the situation, or least on his daughter Dahlia.
And goes to Day, where Andrea, former Lady of Autumn, is staying with Helion.
Cue super adorable step in grandma and grandpa Lady of Autumn and Helion.
Anyway, it would start something like this.
Rain pounded down on the Day lands. People rushed inside, desperately dragging signs and chairs into buildings. Using books, clothing, anything to shield themselves from the onslaught of water that poured and poured from the raging dark clouds above.
Andrea drank jasmine-infused honey sweet tea. The warm liquid slipped down her throat, and soothing her body. The Day palace was warm and dry, a stark difference from the thunder and lightning cracking in the sky. A fork of brilliant white light streaked the sky, Andrea smiled, she had always loved storms.
Her husband… not so much?
Helion huddled himself closer to Andrea when lightning followed quickly by a snap of thunder pierced the sky. The Day Lord had near a dozen blankets wrapped around himself, his head lying in Andrea’s lap. Andrea laughed as he jolted and wrapped his strong arms around her waist, pressing his face into her navel. She toyed with the braids in his hair.
“It isn’t all that bad,” She assured him, leaning back into the soft white couch, while her eyes tipped to the balcony across from them, the glass doors sealed tightly to shelter them from the rain.
“It is that bad,” Helion insisted, “The thunder has no right being that loud.”
Andrea laughed quietly, stroking her husband’s hair. Placing the porcelain cup down on the table beside the lounge, Andrea tipped her head back and closed her eyes. Smiling to herself at the next round of thunder, holding Helion closer, knowing he was ever so frightened of the storm outside.
She sighed, this was nice.
There was a rapping at the door. Looking up Andrea furrowed her brow, surely none of the servants needed them currently? After a moment’s hesitation, Helion sat up and looked at the door, then Andrea. It was Andrea who called out, “Please come in!”
A short female with wild brown curls, red eyes and fluttering wings entered. She bowed low, then straightened, “Your Majesties, there is a visitor requesting your presence.”
Andrea put a hand on Helion’s. Her brown eyes turned to his, though she found no answer, his face was as confused as her own. Helion took in a breath, “Where are they as of now?”
“Still at the entrance, my Lord, the guards have not let him through.” She replied.
There was a moment of silence as Helion and Andrea assessed each other. Helion raised an eyebrow, Andrea shrugged ever so slightly. They weren’t in the middle of anything, the slight quirk of her lips told Helion she was just a little bored and this could be some form of entertainment.
“Alright, we’ll head down, thank you.” Andrea told the female.
She again bowed low, then quickly fled the room, flittering off to wherever she was required.
Andrea and Helion fixed themselves and quickly headed down for the Day Court palace entrance. Whispering to each other, “Who could be visiting so late?” “Perhaps a courtier, or emissary?”
They reached the tall golden doors, the two guards stationed there shared a glance. When Helion lifted his hand, they nodded, the doors flew upon.
Immediately there was an onslaught of cold wind, it rushed through the threshold and splattered water across the polished tiles. Hail had begun, the small balls of ice rained down from the sky, smashing against the flooring.
Andrea had closed her eyes and put her hands out in front of her as she adjusted to the sudden cold. Then she looked up to see the person standing at the entrance.
Her jaw fell open. Looking at Helion his face had gone white.
Tamlin was shivering in the cold, his whole body quivering. His eyes were dull and his skin was near grey. His lips were blue and frost-bitten. Instead of the normal greens and whites he wore a heavy black coat with a hood that had fallen off. His hair was a wild mess of knots and tangles.
And in his arms was a tiny babe, so small she couldn’t be more than a few weeks old. She had tiny golden curls and pale skin, mostly wrapped in linens, her face was red, she was crying and screaming in his arms.
Tamlin met Helion’s eyes, then turned to Andrea’s. Looking back at the High lord, he half-sobbed, “I had nowhere else to go.”
He stumbled like at any moment he might collapse. Snapping out of the daze they had been shocked into, Andrea made the first move. Like him or not, he had a child in his arms. She quickly approached the male and gently took the small girl from his arms, hushing and cooing as she did in an attempt to console her.
As soon as the babe was safe in another’s arms. Tamlin collapsed to the floor. Helion then rushed to the younger High lord, shouting orders for a room to be made up and dry clothes to be brought out. Andrea rocked the crying girl as Helion picked up Tamlin.
The doors were shut and the storm was locked outside. Helion and Andrea exchanged a look. Then the Lady of Day looked at the babe in her arms.
Green eyes glistened up at her. Andrea stood there in pure shock. She looked like a tiny version of Tamlin. She screamed and Andrea watched as tiny claws pricked out of her fingertips.
“Thats…” Helion trailed off.
“The future Heir of Spring.” Andrea finished, her voice filled with wonderment, “Tamlin’s daughter.”
Tamlin himself shivered and gasped in Helion’s arms. The older High lord gritted his teeth. Her eyes didn’t deceive her, Andrea saw Helion bring the younger male closer to his chest.
“What do we do?” Andrea asked.
“We do what’s right.” Was all Helion said, then a group of servants came out.
The oldest among them said, “We have prepared a room for the guest.”
Helion nodded, he then said, “Tamlin and his daughter will stay with us until further notice.”
Looking back down at the baby in her arms, Andrea bit her bottom lip.
“Why were they out in the storm?”
Helion shook his head slowly, “I don’t know.”

In light of some of the previews we've seen of the upcoming Avatar series, here are a few of my own headcanons of what my favorite characters get up to in their peaceful old age.
Korra: Korra still loves bending and loves being the Avatar, but as her hips don't move the way they used to she now focuses on balancing her time between teaching her skills to others, keeping up with her network of world leaders and offering her advice and counsel, and hugging her many grandchildren so hard they squeak. Everyone's favorite grandma.
Mako: It took a while, but Mako finally sorted himself out. After a few turns at Chief of Police he realized he didn't much care for administration and retired. However, he still likes the puzzles, so he takes a few clients through his private detective agency where he can be the grizzled old gentleman with street smarts solving the cases the RCPD couldn't. It keeps him entertained and in slightly but not too much danger. His kids roll their eyes when he's on a case but the grandkids are enthralled by the idea that grandpa catches bad guys.
Bolin: Bolin realized at some point that he could balance his desire to help people with his love of fame and fortune and became a truly magnetic fundraiser. Eventually he starts his own fund for street kids. Three of his six boys took over management of his charity long ago but that doesn't stop Bolin from making the occasional cameo. Even at 88 he still looks good in his Nuktuk outfit.
Asami: Asami worked hard her whole life and loved every bit it. The classic career mom, she pioneered efforts like bring your child to work day and women not taking a back seat to their careers just because they wanted a family. But decades of having it all still take their toll, so she eventually retired and realized there was so much more to the world than improving or saving it. She spends her golden years balancing luxury travel with family time. Asami's postcards feature photographs of cocktails with tiny umbrellas on a backdrop of white sand or vistas from the tops of the old air temples.
Kuvira: After her prison term is up, Kuvira opts for a quiet life in an obscure part of the central Earth Kingdom. She doesn't try too hard to re-connect to the Zaofu crowd and instead channels her energies locally. She offers earthbending to anyone in the village in need of a helping hand, gives free bending lessons to the local kids, and takes an interest in gardening. When her dahlia irises win first prize at the county fair she's surprised to realize that she's happy.
Iroh II: Iroh II leans in hard to the Fire Nation's transition to democracy. Learning from Wu's mistakes he takes his time about it. The process gives him more gray hair in a shorter amount of time than he'd hoped for, but he wears it well, and eventually he makes himself irrelevant. Now in his 90s he's enjoying being little more than an ordinary Fire Nation citizen. He goes for long walks along the cliffs in the mornings with his dragon no matter the weather and has taken an interest in building scale models, which he lets the first of his great grandkids help with during his frequent visits even if his fingers don't quite have the coordination yet. Every time Iroh opens a newspaper and reads about the new administration he smiles broadly at the idea that it's not his problem.

Batfam members but they are gender bent with why I choose each name
Minerva Pennyworth - Minerva is the Roman goddess of wisdom while Alfred means wise, I also think it really fits (both the vibe and Alfred’s character)
Willow Wayne - The name Bruce means “the willowlands”
Rachel “Rae” Hannah Grayson - honestly I just didn’t find any feminine name that have the same meaning as Richard that gave me Dick vibe so I just choose Rachel because it’s similar, I choose Hannah because it has a similar meaning to John
Bar Gordon - I choose Bar both because it’s really similar to Barbara and because the meaning are similar enough (Barbara means foreign while Bar means Wilderness)
Elisha “Eli”/Jolene Lorelai Todd - see, I couldn’t choose a first name for the life of me. Elisha has basically the same meaning as Jason (the lord is salvation and the lord is my salvation) while Jolene just fits, Lorelai means murmuring rock (what THAT means is behind me tbh) while Peter means rock or stone
Tova Jacklyn Drake - I have 3 reasons for choosing Tova: 1. It’s a Jewish name and Tim is Jewish 2. While Tova means good/pleasant it can somehow very vaguely be interpreted as honoring god which is the meaning of Timothy 3. It’s my grandmas name so I’m a bit biased (I do hate the fact there’s no good sounding nickname for Tova tho), I choose Jacklyn because it’s similar to Jackson
Stephen Brown - I don’t really think I need to explain my thought process with this one
Dahlia Thomas - honestly I just like that name and it’s similar enough to Duke
Cassius “Cass” Cain - I love the name Cassius and it has a similar vibe to Cassandra (and Cass can still be a nickname)
Maia Wayne - I can’t explain thus one for the life of me

The day he met Grace, they were both on their lunch break. Grace spilled her coffee on Brian's shirt and felt so embarrassed. She wanted to pay for dry cleaning, but Brian wouldn't hear it. Later on they kept talking for what seemed like hours. They promised to see each other again on the next day. They met every day for coffee until Brian had the courage to ask her out. They dated for a while before they became official.
Sadly Brian's parents didn't approve of his love with Grace, and they made him choose. Grace wanted to break things off. She didn't want to be the cause of a rift between his parents. But Brian chose Grace and that's the last day he spoke to his parents. They disowned him afterwards.
With some savings they both decided they wanted to make a fresh start. Grace quit her job as an English teacher and Brian quit his job in finance. They packed their belongings and moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. Where Brian opened up his flower shop called »Orchid's Paradise«. He always had a knack for flowers.

Luna‘s favorite Hawaiian proverbs:
Kahuna Nui Hale Kealohalani Makua – “Love all you see, including yourself.”
Aloha Aku No, Aloha Mai No – (I give my love to you, you give your love to me.)
Ua ola no i ka pane a ke aloha – (There is life in a kindly reply.)
‘A’OHE PU’U KI’EKI’E KE HO’A’O ‘IA E PI’I – (No cliff is so tall it cannot be climbed.)
12 things about Luna:
🌺 plays the ukulele
🌺 her hair was as pale as moonlight and that’s how she got the name Luna
🌺 She got her nickname ”Looney“ from watching Looney Tunes as a kid
🌺 dances Hula
🌺 peonies & lilacs are among her favorite flowers
🌺 she was once stung by a jellyfish and got a tiny star shaped scar from it
🌺 allergic to ginger
🌺 thinks grasshoppers are creepy (though spiders are cute)
🌺 played soccer in grade school and in high school she switched to volleyball and tennis
🌺 was on the cheer squad together with her cousin Soraya (who was the cheer captain)
🌺 Had a belly button piercing but it got infected so she had to remove it.
🌺 Luna struggles with anxiety and can't handle large crowds. She's had help from her family, but also from her therapist. She goes there from time to time. Not as often as she did before she met Bryce. Art is like therapy for her. That's why she likes to paint or create to help her relax. Because some days are harder than others. She quit her job in Boston, because she was bullied by her boss. She didn't feel good to work in a toxic work environment like that. Bryce wasn't really happy in Boston either. They both missed home, so they moved back to Honolulu, Hawaii and Keiki went with them. (I explored that in my story By a Landslide)

Wish rewrite ✨ pt.1
Everyone and their grandma has done a rewrite of "Wish," but I couldn't help myself. I've seen the concept art and have watched an array of video essays dissecting what went wrong with the final product and my imagination went wild (as it often does with movies that had so much potential yet failed to deliver).
Full disclosure: I'm not a songwriter nor am I an expert on music theory, so when it comes to the songs in this rewrite, I'm just gonna give a general idea of what they're about and what happens.
With that out of the way, let's get into part 1 of my own "Wish" rewrite! And I'm in no way proclaiming this to be the superior version; I'm just sharing what I came up with like a lot of you have. I've also included a visual of my Asha redesign, which I hope you like. <3
(Also tagging @annymation :) )
-
First and foremost, I'm torn between this version either being completely 2D-animated or just Star (specifically in his normal magical form) and his magic being the only things 2D-animated. You can envision it however you like.
Book prologue: Like the movie, this opens with a storybook. However, it's in live-action. A narrator (perhaps a Disney Legend, like Mary Costa, Kathryn Beaumont, etc.) tells the backstory of how Rosas became a literal magical place:
“Once upon a time, there was a small island kingdom called Rosas. Surrounded by crystal waters and nestled beneath an endless sky. One day, the king gathered his subjects to make an important announcement: through magic, he had found a way to grant wishes! And since then, the people looked to their magnificent king to make their deepest desires come true.
This magic was passed down to the royals that followed, and in this time, the people continued their undying devotion to their extraordinary leaders.
Over the years, boats came from far and wide, carrying those who wanted to see this magic up close, as well as those who sought to live in Rosas. And our story begins with the docking of one of these boats…”
Introduction to Asha/Rosas; “Welcome to Rosas”: A group of newcomers excitedly wait to enter Rosas and this is where we meet Asha. "One... two... three," she mumbles - as if preparing for a performance - before stepping out in front of the group. Bubbly and all smiles, she introduces herself as their tour guide and ushers them into the kingdom. This version of “Welcome to Rosas” not only explains the rules of the kingdom regarding wishes (giving wishes at age 18 [it's mandatory], how the wishing ceremony plays out, only one wish is granted each month due to the large amount of magic needed, etc.) but it also highlights how hardworking and dutiful the citizens are. Additionally, it mentions that Rosas was once a land in disarray, but the magic of wish-granting led them to prosperity. While there’s an upbeat tone to the song, there is an almost sinister undertone that’s lost on the newcomers (and to us, the audience, if we don’t pay too much attention). I should quickly point out that people don't forget their wishes after giving them to Magnifico like they do in the movie. They just no longer have the motivation to pursue their wishes themselves.
Design note: Asha is the only person in Rosas wearing orange, thereby making her stand out from the largely blue, purple, and grey colour palette (much like how Belle is the only person in her village wearing blue). click the image to see more outfit details
Meeting Dahlia and other townspeople: After Asha leaves the group to let them enjoy the sights, her bubbly persona immediately disappears and her true nature is revealed. Levelheaded, composed, a touch cynical. A realist. This personality is shown as she interacts with some of the townsfolk (moreover, this scene alludes to what some of them have wished for). She takes a bag of fruit to Dahlia, her best friend and a talented baker. She’s cheerful, idealistic, and tends to stumble over her words when excited or stressed (a nod to Doc from “Snow White” along with her character design). Like the rest of Rosas, she thinks highly of the king and queen. In exchange for the fruit, Dahlia presents Asha with a birthday cake for her grandfather. This scene showcases Dahlia’s desire to become the castle baker someday and that she thinks her work needs to be perfect to get that position (even though her work is already amazing). We are also introduced to Simon, who comes by to pick up an order for delivery. He’s a few years older than Asha and Dahlia and is already showing the same level of exhaustion as most of the other adults. He wants his wish granted so badly that he’s willing to work hard and impress the king and queen no matter what. He's secretive about what his wish is.
"Welcome to Rosas (reprise)": As Asha walks home with the cake in a box, she looks at the citizens around her. This time, we’re seeing life in Rosas through her eyes rather than those of the awestruck newcomers. “Welcome to Rosas (reprise)” brings to the forefront how exhausting, unfair, and almost cult-like (i.e. the people’s intense adoration of the king and queen) everything is, while also insinuating the crux of Asha’s personal journey: she doesn’t have hope.
Meeting Sakina and Sabino: Asha arrives home to find Sabino asleep in a chair by the window. She smiles at him; a big, loving smile. Up until now, her smiles have either been small, fake (for her job), or just smirks. She gently wakes him up and he tells her he was dreaming about one of his artworks coming to life. “In a few hours, it may actually happen,” he says with a hopeful grin. She bites her tongue so as not to bring his cheerful mood down with a "Let's be realistic" comment. Soon after, Sakina enters the house carrying a basket of fresh fruit and looking tired. Asha takes the basket from her, fussing over how exhausted she looks. ("Mama, you shouldn't be doing all this work by yourself!") Sakina says that she’s fine, but Asha’s worries aren’t placated. Eventually, the trio sit down to enjoy the cake. Sakina laments the absence of Asha’s father, which prompts Asha to fiddle with her silver bracelet.
Wishing ceremony: We finally see King Magnifico and Queen Amaya in all their glory. They are regal, stunning, and tower over the people of Rosas in more ways than one. Still, when 18-year-olds and new residents approach the king on stage to give their wishes to him, he presents himself as an affable man. The cultish vibes that have so far been subtle are made much more apparent in this scene, complete with chanting, cheering, and bowing in a way that demonstrates complete submission. Sabino and Sakina wait with bated breath to see whose wish will be granted, while Asha remains less optimistic. She holds her grandfather’s hand reassuringly when the announcement is made. It’s not him. While not nearly as surprised or devastated as Sabino is, his disappointed reaction still breaks Asha’s heart. So much so that it encourages her to do something drastic.
Asha learns the truth: Sakina and Sabino head home while Asha makes her way to the castle entrance. She overhears the guards tell other people that the king and queen aren’t seeing anyone right now and reinforcing a specific rule: “commoners aren’t allowed in the palace.” Not to be deterred, Asha finds another way in. She’s distracted from her objective of ambushing the king and queen by the sight of the castle’s interior. It’s beautiful; unlike anything she’s ever seen. It's as if it were made of crystals, like the waters surrounding their island. Reflective surfaces are adorned on almost every section of the walls. Curiousity gets the better of her and she ascends the staircase to the highest room in the building. After brief hesitation, she enters and finds that it’s the room that houses the wishes (the general look of this room is about the same as how it is in the movie). Her wonderment is interrupted by the sound of Magnifico and Amaya outside. Thinking quickly, she hides in the balcony running along the upper part of the room. It’s here that she witnesses something horrifying: Magnifico taking a couple of the wishes in his hands and crushing them. This is how he gets his powers. He and Amaya laugh at how these people will be waiting forever for their wishes to be granted. ("They will work themselves to death, never knowing that their wishes, their dreams, will never come true.") Furthermore, Asha learns that Magnifico is already very powerful and doesn't need a whole month to garner enough energy to grant a single wish. After the couple leave, Asha sneaks back out.
Warning Sakina and Sabino: Asha rushes home and tells Sakina and Sabino about what she saw. Obviously they don’t believe her and an argument ensues. They can’t understand why she’d speak ill of the king and queen, and she’s trying so hard to plead her case. At one point, she accidentally hurts Sabino’s feelings by saying that realistically speaking, the odds of his wish being granted are slim to none. She feels awful about what she said and she tries one last time to convince them. Sakina gently but firmly tells her to stop and “When you’re older, you’ll understand.” Asha is left stunned and alone as Sakina tends to a tired and upset Sabino. Overwhelmed, she leaves the house and runs into the woods. She's trying so hard not to break down.
“This Wish”: This version of the song, much like in the movie, sees Asha wish for a way to help Rosas. However, it also conveys her internal struggle of letting herself feel some semblance of hope for the first time in a long time. She initially pulls back and scoffs at the idea of wishing on a star or even believing that things in Rosas will change, but as the song goes on, she caves into what her heart is telling her as opposed to what her head is telling her. It’s worth noting that each time she considers wishing on a star, it’s instigated by her looking at her bracelet. Akin to “Part of Your World,” after so much build-up, the song ends on a soft but powerful note where Asha finally wishes on a star (she still has serious doubts, but there's a sliver of cautious optimism shining through).

🥛🐈(ik you have cats this is just me using it as a way for you to pretty please show pictures of them🥺👉👈) 🐝
Eeeep! My lovely friend! Hello! Thank you for these! 🫂
🥛 Milk: What is a food you find comforting when you are sad?
Hands down, my grandma’s gumbo. For the big holidays she makes huge batches and freezes us portions to last us through the year. I always find myself defrosting some when I need a little comfort and it always does the trick.
🐝 Bee: What is a video game that you find comforting?
So for all my love of the sims, I wouldn’t call it “comforting” 😅
When I need a cozy game or when I want to lean into video gaming to help my anxiety, I always play a game called Banished. It’s just this simple little town building game with such a pleasant and soothing soundtrack that it always makes me feel relaxed.
🐈 Cat: Do you have any pets? Are there some pets you really want?
An excuse to send cat pics?! You really do know me so well! 🥰
I have two cats, Primrose and Dahlia (who I showed off when they were little bebes). They’ve gotten SO big now and are often little menaces, but also the most lovable beans I have ever met. But you ask a cat lady for cat pictures, cat pictures you shall receive…
#my absolute little loves 🥹#yall they CUDDLE#I had never actually seen cats who cuddle#and my heart#they also like to peel the caulk from my shower soooo it’s a mixed bag of kitten vibes in this house 😂#a heathen in real life#ask game#simblr ask game

Brucandy Wedding ~
I just remember that Bruce was married and therefore his brothers never got to see his wedding, so now we’re here
💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜
He had five empty seats in the first now reserved for each of his brothers and his Grandma. A dahlia flower rested on each seat. Each one was dyed a different colour
John Dory - Turqoiuse
Clay - Green
Floyd - Pink
Branch - Blue
Rosiepuff - Purple
They had a beautiful beach wedding
They both just wanted a wedding that was uniquely them, a big white wedding felt like too much pressure and just not something they wanted to do
Brandy wore a simple boho kind of dress, something that wouldn’t be ruined by sand and something that felt like her
Bruce wore a suit that matched
It was just a family wedding, plus really really close friends. When Bruce arrived at Vacay he became very close with Brandy’s family so they were like family to him too
Brandy’s mum was her Maid of Honour and Bruce asked Brandy’s little brother to be his Best Man (I’ll go into better detail about him in a later post dw)
🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡💜🧡
I’ve had this in my drafts for agesssssss haha
I’m thinking about drawing the cute couple in their wedding fits I really think Brandy would look STUNNING in that dress

periwinkles and daffodils
summary: A young Kyle spends the summer in the Worcestershire countryside and makes a new flower obsessed friend.
pairing: Gaz x childhood love! fem!Reader
warnings: FLUFF! Literally just some childhood crushes and cuteness, UK inaccuracies (especially with geography)
a/n: There isn't enough Gaz love on here and I'm gonna change that

There were only two things in your life that remained consistent, flowers and Kyle Garrick. Well, maybe only one thing. Flowers could always be plucked from your garden during the warmer months or from your local grocer's when the weather turned cool and the leaves began to fall. Even in the dead of winter, you were able to have the most colorful and pristine petals gently wrapped and shipped to your doorstep from a warmer continent. Kyle, on the other hand, was not as easy to access. As you sat trimming your newest floral harvest, you reminisced about the days spent in the garden and with your old friend.
Periwinkle - Tender recollections
Growing up in the countryside of Worcestershire allowed you and your mum to care for a front lawn of wildflowers and a garden filled with rows of cultivated flowers. She was the town's florist, widowed too early due to a reckless driver. You had no memories of your father but your mother made sure to be the support system you needed from two parents. From a young age, she painstakingly taught you all you needed to know about life. She began with basic life skills such as cooking as well as encouraging you to read and write from an early age. Your bookshelf was never empty as she kept it stocked with classics, books about famous scientists, and numerous language workbooks. However, she was most proud when showing you how to maintain a garden filled with fickle flowers. She would tell you when to water a drooping English rose bush and how to test the soil's acidity to know what color the blooming hydrangeas would eventually show. In Year 1 for an assignment, you proudly depicted your mother in her faded overalls and bandana, surrounded by flowers with smiley faces and their floral names written as name tags.
"Mum what does this one mean?" you questioned as you plucked a delicate navy blue flower from its stem. In your small hands, you held it at its truncated base and pinched the funnel-shaped petals gently. As you examined it further, you could see the petals were separated by a deep maroon and you admired the richness that painted the singular flower. "Those are morning glories, my love. They mean 'affection'," your mum answered, balancing a basket filled with bunches of dahlias, striped tulips, chrysanthemums, and peonies. "You should write that down in your notebook, the one the neighbour boy gave you."
Daffodils - new beginnings
Following the end of Year 1, a small boy began living next door to you with his grandparents. They introduced him as Kyle, their grandson from Manchester, who would be staying with them for the entirety of the warmer months. Your mum had known this as his grandmother frequently exchanged baked goods for a beautifully arranged bouquet and some English lavender to cook with. The elderly Garricks were there for your mum following the loss of her husband and helped her out when she had to manage the florist shop. They were the family you needed and you were excited to meet their actual grandson.
When he first moved in, your mother held your hand and walked you to their house. You were dressed in your typical summer gardening clothes, khaki shorts, and a light airy shirt that was a few sizes too big for you. She allowed you to hold her newest bouquet along with your hand-written Welcome card made with crayons and dried flowers. As you exited the rows of wildflowers and walked up his sidewalk, you could see a small boy your age laughing with his grandma on the porch.
"Good afternoon, you must be Kyle," your mum said as the little boy ran to hide behind his grandma's rustic rocking chair.
"Now, Kyle, don't be shy. Look Y/N has something to give to you!" his grandma replied slowly pushing Kyle in your direction.
"These are my mummy's flowers," you said sweetly. "She also told me to say that each of these has a meaning."
"Go on, Y/N," your mother said as she went to sit opposite Kyle's grandmother. You took a seat on the porch and put the bouquet into Kyle's small hands.
"You can take the string to make it easier," you said. You then began pointing to each flower, "These purple and lilac ones are wisterias and they mean 'welcome', these other purple ones are periwinkles, I picked them out myself! These mean 'early friendship'," you continued.
"Wait I know what this is! My city mum has it dried in our kitchen" he excitedly said and went to pick up the various musky, floral-scented valerian flowers. As he picked at the small delicate, pink blossoms he asked, "Do they have a meaning too?"
"It's two big words, but I think my mum knows!" you responded, just as you spoke your mum heard your struggle and elaborated, "It means an 'accommodating disposition'. It's to describe someone easy to get along with and always willing to be there for you.
"That's so cool!" Kyle said, "I have a notebook with all these big words to show to my Manchester friends. In Year 2, I'm going to be the smartest one," he beamed.
He quickly ran inside and retrieved two journals. Both were made of leather and were no bigger than a regular soft-cover book. One was worn with the spine showing where Kyle had opened the book and placed it flat to write. The other looked new, showing no signs of wear.
"My grandad made this for me, he also made one for you," he said and handed you the journal. "He said to give it to you so we can write in it together, you with flowers and mine with big, adult words."
You could hear the women chuckle, the shy Kyle was quick to come around to you and was talking as if you had been best friends since elementary.
"Wait, we should get cool flower names together and write them inside," he shouted, clearly showing his enthusiasm.
"My teacher says my handwriting is bad so I'll ask my mum. Plus she knows like a whole book on flower meanings," you said and got up with Kyle walking towards your mother.
She took out a pen from her pocket and held your journals in her hand. As she thought for a moment, she suddenly gasped jokingly as if a lightbulb went off and scribbled in both of your books.
Neatly written in your mother's handwriting were both of your names. Under Kyle's was 'Sycamore - Curiosity' and under yours was 'Clematis - Mental beauty'
For the rest of the summer, you and Kyle were inseparable. Being one of the only children in your village, you found comfort in each other. Some days, he would come over to your home, helping your mum with weeding and watering. She gave you both small satchels that you could hold your notebooks and pencils in. As you followed her around, you would try your best to legibly write the flower, what it looked like, and its meaning. Kyle, on the other hand, would be asking your mum for definitions whenever she used words like perennials, idyllic, or serendipity.
When your mum had to manage her shop, you went to his house. You would always walk back to your house full and covered in flour. His grandma, affectionately called Nana, put you both to work. In the morning, she would show you both how to make a variety of bread from scratch and taught you both patience as you had to wait for the bread to rise. In the afternoon, she would be pulling cookbooks off the shelf to cook a new dish from a different country. She used to work as a flight attendant and always made sure to eat at least one new thing while on a layover. Her laughs would fill the room as both you and Kyle leaned over the sink to drink some water after she fed you some spicy peppers. As a reward for building your spice tolerance, she would gift you with Grandad's award-winning lemonade. He would usually be in his workshop, working on leather goods and other items to sell at the local market but always would come out to make some lemonade.
One time, your mother sent you a cheesecloth filled with mint, marigolds, and honeysuckles to add to the lemonade. Ever the child, you dug your hand into the finished lemonade and tried to put a marigold behind Kyle's ear. You chased him around the kitchen island with your sticky, sugary fingers until you finally were able to tuck it behind his left ear. Little did you know, during your little Ring Around the Rosie, he was able to grab some loose flour and threw it at you. Needless to say, Nana and Grandad made you both sit in the tub while they attempted to clean the sticky lemonade and flour off both of your clothes.
At the end of summer, you tearfully gripped a flower bouquet in your hand. Kyle's mum was coming to get him today and bring him back to Manchester for the new school year. You had numerous conversations with your mother and she explained, "This isn't a goodbye, more of an 'I'll see you again soon!'" Her decision to send you with freesias (lasting friendship), pansy (think of me), rosemary (remembrance), and forget-me-nots (one of your favorites as it had a literal meaning), seemed fit.
As you walked to his room, you could hear your mum chatting with his describing the amazing summer you both had. You nudged his door open, you could also see his eyes puffy from crying all morning. His room was missing his books, including a dictionary you gifted him with from the local bookshop. As you went to sit next to him, you could see he held the familiar leather journal. He had added 3 more pages and you were jealous of his neat handwriting.
"I have some flowers for you," you said and laid them in his hand. "I also wrote you a note so you wouldn't forget what they mean." With that, you pulled out a piece of floral stationery from your pocket and handed it to him. As he looked at it, a small tear fell on the paper and soon you both were in a puddle of tears. Once you both cried all your emotions out, he tucked the tear-stained paper in his journal and pulled you into a hug.
"Please come back next summer, I'll have a new collection of flowers to show you and my mum will have more words for you to learn," you said, voice breaking.
"Until next summer," Kyle said and you both walked down to his mum's car. Your mum held you tight to her side as you both waved him goodbye in front of your signature wildflower lawn. ┊ ⋆ ┊ . ┊ ┊┊ ⋆ ┊ . ┊ ┊┊ ⋆ ┊ . ┊ ┊┊ ⋆ ┊ . ┊ ┊┊ ⋆ ┊ . ┊ ┊┊

Have you watched The Further Adventures of Walt's Frozen Head?
Hardy har har*major sarcasm* about this old tin hat theory yall do know he was cremated and a memorial was built at the Forest Lawn cemetery, tbh its rude and disrespectful towards the Disney family for everybody to keep this old absolutely not correct idea about Walt's body going,
You wouldn't do this to Norma Jean AKA Marilyn Monroe you wouldn't do this to the Black Dahlia you wouldn't do this to Charlie Chaplin Audrey Hepburn the list could carry on of celebrities
So why is Walt the one that people decide to create such a disrespectful rumor about? Don't get me wrong I'm all for fun and games but not when it's disrespecting the Dead.
I'm pagan irl and we don't mess around with that crap it's like spitting on our ancestors for us
Also btw due to heavy genealogical research and accidental discovery I found I'm 8th Cousins with the Disneys we share a common ancestor, guess entertainment runs in multiple branches of the family as mine was also in the entertainment industry for 3 generations, 3x Great Grandfather was in a Band, 2x Great aunt and Uncle were headliners out here in the midwest, my other 2x Great Uncle was in Vaudeville, my Great Grandma gave up her dream of being an actress to settle down, I'm a 4th gen entertainer artist and writer, so yeah I'm even more respectful as a result.

CJ OST first listen reaction under the cut. Spoilers ahead.
Too long; didn't read version: I love what they've done with this. I have so much respect for them as artists. To get this much for a deluxe album is insane.
(I didn't include every track because, for example, we obviously know Artificial Suicide live fucking slaps, I don’t need to tell you this)
1. C:\Projects\CJOST\BEATDEATH- the urge to overanalyze the ever living shit out of this is strong
2. V.A.N (feat. Poppy) - she is glory she is beauty she is everything
3. The Drain (feat. HEALTH, Swarm) - 10/10, duh
4. Terms & Conditions (feat. Bob Vylan) - first reaction: ????????, then: this kinda vibes
5. Hedonist [Recharged] (feat. WARGASM) - she's a bad bitch, she takes no one's shit.
6. Even - she's a 10/10, I love her; vulnerable vibes, 3 am rainy vibes, baby talk to me what's on your mind, do you need kisses, hugs, a shoulder to cry on? talk to me
7. Loading Screen - we love instrumentals in this house
8. Anything > Human (feat. Erra) - hands down best (new) track on this album together with Even, 100/10, fucking SLAPS; lyrics hurt my soul though, chorus instantly got stuck in my head, these men need several HUGS!!! (I seriously could scream about the lyrics all day because LORE)
9. Digital Footprint - instrumental. Slaps.
10. Nervous System (feat. iRis.EXE) - LORE. these guys want to shake their booties to some beats, love the tone of her voice, I can see why shes on this
11. C:\Projects\CJOST\FINDPEACE - one more chopped up interlude Noah and I'll hop on a plane and hunt this band down, WHAT IS HE SAYING?!
12. Artificial Suicide [Unzipped] (feat. Thousand Below) - I felt that vibrating in my core. That’s all.
13. The Grey [Unzipped] (feat. Thousand Below) - this is what my generation would have called a "nightcore edit". Honestly? Not so bad. It’s intriguing. They were definitely having fun with these unzipped versions
14. The Death of Peace of Mind [We Are Fury Patch] - felt that vibrating in my core part 2; fic trailer enemies to lovers music, loop loop loop
16. Bad Decisions [Lofi] (feat. Dahlia) - sad chill vibes. if you wanna be sapphic and sad with me, let's be sapphic and sad together. love her
17. Just Pretend [Credits] (feat. Let's Eat Grandma, Chief) - oh I absolutely adore her voice, I genuinely love this version
18. C:\Projects\Cjost\Clearmind - dude idk what you're saying except "we're sorry" and "good morning"??
21. The Grey [Live 2024] - vocal Queen, masterpiece, impressive, stunning, earth-shattering, never done before, cannot be topped etc. etc.
22. What Do You Want From Me? [Live 2024] - this is probably what changed Noah's brain chemistry and made him decide that he's a club whore now. Can’t blame him, this goes hard
23. Nowhere To Go [Live 2024] - Folio's song 10/10
24. V.A.N [Live 2024] (feat. Poppy) - BARK
25. The Death of Peace of Mind [Live 2024] - this is what heaven must sound like
26. Just Pretend [Live 2024] - angelic vocals, what else is there to be said? Oh, also it’s 9 minutes long. Why? Find out. Might have maybe perhaps mayhaps cried just a little? Maybe. Definitely. It’s late. I love them. I love Bad Omens. The urge to hop on a plane and hunt them down to give them kisses and hugs is painful.
