July 24th and 25th - Typhoon Gaemi
My cough still will not go away. Other than that, all is well. The last two days were quite eventful. We had our first typhoon experience (also probably my last). The typhoon was supposed to hit us dead on, but at the last minute it turned South and ended up hitting closer to Hualien. This was extremely lucky because the typhoon got very strong and had some disastrous consequences for the areas that got hit. We were supposed to travel to Hualien on the 25th, but due to the typhoon, we had to shelter in place, so we will not be able to do any of the scheduled activities we had for Yilan or Hualien. The typhoon did not have much of an impact on us. I thought it was going to be very scary and we would at least lose power, but it was just some heavy wind and rain. The power stayed on the whole time and we ended up having a “typhoon party.” We played uno with a bunch of the girls and then we tried to convince the guys to get us McDonalds. We succeeded, but unfortunately when they walked all the way over there, the McDonald’s was closed. Other than that, it’s been pretty boring to be stuck in the hotel. I got caught up on some homework and sleep, but I’m ready to start the activities again. We officially have two weeks left in the trip and I’m excited to see what the end brings us.
Academic Reflection
Typhoon Gaemi was the most powerful storm to hit Taiwan in the last 8 years. With gusts of 150 mph, it was equivalent to a category 4 hurricane. News sources differ, but according to my research at least 2 people have died and 279 have been injured. 72 were injured in Kaohsiung, 43 in Tainan, 32 in Taichung, and 32 in Hualien. It also caused major flooding and landslides. The typhoon also shocked meteorologists by looping back around and hitting Taiwan’s east coast twice. This is because of Taiwan’s large mountain range that deflected the storm back towards the coast, which had terrible effects for the coastal towns that were in the path. One other disastrous consequence was the oil ship that capsized due to the Typhoon. The MT Terra Nova sank in the Manila Bay carrying 1.5 million liters of oil. This could be the worst oil spill in Philippines history if it is not contained. Not only will the oil spill be terrible for the marine life in the area, but the nine crew members on board still have not been located. This typhoon was a tragedy for the Philippines and Taiwan and we are very lucky that its path deviated before hitting us.

Fate season 2-5
Last time of Fate: Tales from Elemental Academy…
A villain was revealed!
A character died!
A character revealed their sexuality!
A character woke up in another character’s bed!
Episode 5: Are You a Good Witch or a Bad Witch?
Pretty clear he’s a bad witch but then this show is nothing if not full of baffling mixed characterization.
Also I think we found part of the missing episode! There was a news that Fate was cut down by a whole episode right before release. I bet the flashbacks of Andreas’ death were cut from a longer scene to save length. I wonder if they also cut some earlier Stella/Beatrix scenes that would have made their shippyness feel less sudden and weird.
But let’s get into it!
Bloom has suck out of school to meet Sebastian! But he didn't show. She calls him up and we see that he’s in a room with light coming in the windows. As he tells Bloom he can’t make it, he pokes at a dead moth on the windowsill in a clear message that he’s evil. Bloom says she can’t keep sneaking out and he needs to meet her already! But he blows her off.
The air shimmers and a bunch of trucks and specialists appear. Bloom was trying to lead him into a trap! He didn’t fall for it.
Sebastian has been hopping around Solaria and drained six more fairies of their magic. Then we see where Sebastian really is. It looks like a church, with an amazing sculpted ceiling, and it’s got desks and a pegboard of pictures—and people! The people are dressed in dark clothes and a bunch of them wear knit caps and coats indoors and have funny little table lamps on tripods. It’s a very “rebel camp” vibe.
Rosalind voiceover says Sebastian will soon be stronger than she is, and “we have to stop him before he’s stronger than Bloom.
Sebastian goes to another room, takes off his shirt and sits down over a chair. A scraper oozes up and bites him in the back and pumps magic into him. Sexualized. Gross. Then the camera pans up and we see a bunch more scrapers on the ceiling ready to deliver even more magic!
Opening!
Bloom, Stella and Aisha walk through school talking about why the trap isn’t working. They point out Sebastian has no real reason to sit down with Bloom. Aisha doesn’t like seeing Rosalind use Bloom as bait and Stella snarks, “Unappealing bait!” Bloom says she knows Sebastian wants to talk to her and best case they catch him, worst case they get answers. Stella: “Is that really the worst case you can think of?” Bloom points out that Sebastian knows how to get Musa’s magic back and that’s what matters.
Their outfits are a thing. Stella: bright blue shirt and tan trenchcoat. Bloom: Halloween orange sweater and brown leather coat with sheepskin trim. Aisha: bright blue shirt, brown overalls with some kind of pattern of large ovals, and a brown and yellow jacket.
Outside they find Beatrix, looking normal and wearing her hat again, getting a package out of the mailbox. There really is a package from Stella’s mother! Stella wrote asking for forgiveness and a favor; it’s something from the royal archives. Beatrix is interested to know what’s in it. The girls side-eye. Beatrix says, ‘I’m an orphaned magicless fairy relegated to chore duty to stay at this school. A little secret might brighten my day” Stella says she’ll tell her later.
Stella: we can trust her.
Bloom: She’s Beatrix.
Stella: You trust Rosalind.
Aisha: You both have terrible judgment.
Heh.
Then Bloom says Rosalind has been on their side from day one and because of her Musa was able to stay at the school. Because Musa lost her magic she’d normally be kicked out? didn’t we work out it was temporary since she was only bitten once?
Musa is in the greenhouse with Terra, who is wearing some silly looking magnifying goggles to check on the tiny scars the scraper left on Musa’s arm.
Riven and Grey come in to get some willow bark. Wait, if the Otherworld has hydraulic power and fluid mechanics wouldn’t someone have worked out how to get the useful chemical from willow bark and turn it into asprin? That’s what lots of medicines are, just people notice plant make better→isolate chemical that make better→synthesize chemical and package in measured dose→same effect as plant but easier and safer.
Flora is trying to make a remedy for blood witch puppeteering. She’s bothered by how they “can take over someone’s body, their agency” which is the first bit of woke language in this season and coming from hippie Flora it works. Flora also has half her curls down and half up in little mini curly Sailor Moon buns. Adorable. Say what you will about everything else in this show, the cast is great at what they do and cute as blazes. Riven flirts and Flora asks Grey about Aisha. After the kiss Aisha’s been focused on the mission I guess, not him. Terra says Musa’s got magic rehab to do but the boys say Silva wants to see her for another debrief. He oughtta come to the infirmary then!
After they leave Terra asks Flora if she spilled the secret, but Flora says of course not, that’s for Terra to tell when she’s ready.
Outside Riven says there is actually no debrief, he just wanted to save Musa from magic rehabilitation, which seems to be breathing exercises and yoga that Terra invented herself. Wouldn’t there be magic doctors who’d have figured out magic rehabilitation before this? Or is this the first time fairies have ever lost their magic? Musa thanks Riven for the rescue and the other rescue when Riven hauled poor passed-out Musa back to school. Riven goes to swing swords and Musa asks if she can come, as a way to avoid checking in with Rosalind. Riven says sure, they can spar.
In Bloom’s room she and Sky lie on her bed. Sky bailed on training today. Because he’s just had a horribly traumatic experience and should be seeing a therapist! I’m sure Rosalind does not hold with therapists. Hang on, also Sky killed someone. Why is he not worried about getting arrested like the last guy to murder Andreas? Anyway they talk about the trap and Bloom says they have to offer something to lure Sebastian out. Her only idea is “cool shoes?” heh. Sky suggests the blood witch book they got from his house and asks if Bloom remembers and jokes about the mission and the fire being the only memorable things that happened that day. Nice joking, not mean joking. S’cute. They kiss and things look steamy but Bloom says “you can’t avoid what happened to Andreas by focusing on me” and then Sky has to leave for guard duty anyway.
On the way out he passes Aisha doing homework in the main room. When he’s gone Bloom comes out and the two girls talk a little. Bloom says Sky is not fine and asks if Grey pretends too and Aisha says she’s less open with her feelings than he is. Then Bloom says she decided to offer Sebastian the book. Aisha is sensibly against giving the evil blood witch more evil secrets.
Then Aisha pulls out what they got from Stella’s mother: a convergence crystal from the Solarian archive. Lets fairies combine their magic. It’s a big chunk of multi-pointed quartz. The theory as Aisha explains it is that fairy magic is like a battery. Musa’s has been drained but it’s still a battery. She just needs a jump start! It’s dangerous but not more dangerous than meeting the baddie. Bloom points out that meeting the baddie only puts Bloom in danger. Aisha interrupts to say she messed up by leaving everyone at the pub, leaving Bloom to handle everything. Now Aisha’s back and she can help!
Oh Aisha, you and Bloom are both stubborn as bulls and think you should take responsibility. This’ll go well.
Outside—night shot of the castle—Sky sits on the back of a truck and drinks from his flask as he remembers begging his father not to murder… his father. And then having to kill Andreas.
A door opens somewhere and Sky calls out that it’s the middle of the night. He assumes it’s other specialists up late but the suspenseful music says otherwise. He draws a knife but that doesn’t save him… from getting grabbed by a blood witch! Sky is now being pupteered!
Daylight, and Rosalind stands over Andreas’ grave. He has a large and computer generated headstone with his name and the words “Champion” and “Alfean” carved into it. Rosalind is using earth magic to add a third word: “Father.” Bloom walks over and says it’s a beautiful stone. Rosalind says it’s from a quarry in Eraklyon near where Andreas grew up. She also says she thought of inscribing it “miserable sentimental fuckwit” but that wouldn’t fit. Ok, I snickered. Rosalind then says Andreas would’ve liked that. Bloom says it sounds like Rosalind really cared about him and that she thought Rosalind would have a “Rosalind-style outlook on death. Cold and unemotional.” But Rosalind says she’s buried a lot of friends and hates deaths like this that don’t “serve a higher purpose.” But Rosalind doesn’t want to skip training, she needs Bloom in top form. “Sebastian has already taken one person I care about. I won’t let him take another.”
So is this show trying to do that thing where the baddie is shown to be evil and then they humanize the baddie and they’re not a baddie anymore? Am I supposed to be rooting for Rosalind and I’m just not getting the signals? Because I’m just confused. Dunno if the show is bad at sending messages or I’m bad at getting them.
Rosalind has been presented as a villain for a few episodes then came the revelation that the scrapers aren’t hers. But she still basically cackled and rubbed her hands at the idea of expelling students, was fine with sacrificing Beatrix and is clearly manipulating and using Bloom. She seems responsible for Beatrix’s unorthodox upbringing that led B to murdering Dowling’s secretary. Also she killed Dowling, was fine with sending hunters to try to kill Silva, and nuked Aster Dell. Rosalind seems to enjoy being cruel. But her goal seems to be to use every available resource to save the Otherworld from the Burned Ones and now the Blood Witches. So she’s a sort of tough ruthless antihero? She seems to see herself that way and the fact that Bloom trusts her suggests the show may agree.
I wonder if Rosalind would have been different if Dowling’s actress had stayed for season 2. Maybe after she left the writers had to shift Rosalind over to do the good mentor role along with the villain role?
Sebastian is using Scrapers to steal fairy magic for him to use himself and has murdered Ivy and the poor puppet he sent to talk to Andreas, and puppeteers people including getting Andreas killed. He would’ve been pretty young 16 years ago but if he was at Aster Dell he might have been with a group that kidnapped baby Bloom and Beatrix from their families. His personal goal is revenge on Andreas for bullying him and smashing his face, understandable. But the larger goal of the Blood Witches is… what? I don’t think we know yet. Revenge on Rosalind for nuking Aster Dell would make sense but nobody’s said that yet. I wouldn’t be completely surprised if the show tried another turnaround and presented the Blood Witches as a persecuted minority forced to do evil to survive while people like Rosalind and Luna hunt them.
By my reckoning they’re both baddies!
Over in the suite the girls are pulling back the carpet to make room for Musa’s convergence ceremony. Which is the first Musa heard about it.
But first Terra has an announcement since they “haven’t all been in the same room for a few days”. She’s super shy and awkward and it’s cute. Eliot Salt is a good actress. She tells everyone she’s gay and has sort of always known but is now sharing that part of herself. “so kindly adjust your perceptions of me accordingly. Ok, we need to move this carpet!” Awkwardness and vulnerability played well! And then Stella comes over and hugs her and then everybody piles on and it’s very sweet. Yay, a scene of them being friends! Yay Stella being friendish! Stella says they are now all terra’s official wing-women and Musa jokes that they’ll snag her a lady and Terra says that’s a “heteronormative paradigm I’m not sure I ascribe to” which works when it comes from Terra better than when it comes out of everyone randomly. Just limit the number of characters who talk like they swallowed my SW310: Systems of Oppression textbook please, Fate!
Also, the clothes in this scene feel like they were given some thought.. Bloom is wearing a sweater that sort of has a lightning bolt design, makes me think Harry Potter. Stella is in this ridiculously preppy blouse with a vest and a silk scarf at her neck over plaid pants. Someone gave thought to how “princess” would look in this world that has such confused worldbuilding and gave Stella a unique style and color palette. Flora is in a belly-baring top that’s a different color but the same shape as the actual Winx would wear, with supertight conffetti-colored pants. Aisha’s just in a sweater but has a pendant with an aqua stone. And Terra is in a shapeless faded sweatshirt that looks like the stuff I wear for pajamas since they’re too worn out to be clothes anymore. Which I guess is a statement that her character is more about comfort than fashion but if I were of a suspicious turn of mind I could suspect she gets less thought to her costumes because of her size.
Then Terra says this isn’t a coming-out party it’s a Musa’s-magic party and Musa says can someone please explain this and the camera pans on Terra looking really happy.
But first, let’s see what’s happening in Rosalind’s office! Which has been updated to read Headmistress Ms. R Hale. Rosalind has a last name. I can’t think of any Winx connection.
Rosalind and Silva are discussing something when Sky comes in. Silva asks Sky how he’s doing and Rosalind interrupts Sky’s answer to say he was on guard duty because Silva vouched for his trustworthyness. Sky says he’s super trustworthy and asks what’s going on. Sky is being puppeted remember, and Sebastian’s doing a rubbish job; Sky’s super robotic.
It seems that someone broke into the east wing and looked through Silva’s files of battle plans. Now the blood witches know how our secrets! Rosalind thinks Sky fell asleep and let them sneak in. Sky swears he didn’t see anything. Rosalind positively drools with enthusiasm to squeeze the truth out of the teenager she suspects, but Silva defends Sky and lets him go.
Back at the ritual! Musa holds the crystal and asks how dangerous this ritual is. Aisha says they’re “mainlining raw magic here” but she has faith. Terra’s got… a rock? She says she’s trying some mineral magic but the thing she’s holding is big enough that if it’s a rock it’s a very lightweight rock.
The girls sit on pillows in a circle and summon their elements. Bloom makes her usual flame, Aisha summons a littl;e tornado of water. Terra levitates the rock between her hands. Flora makes tiny vines grow over her hands which is quite a cool effect. Stella summons a ball of light and her eyes go creamy yellow which is a neat look on her. And then they… level up their spells! Bloom’s got fire in her hands and a crown of flame on her head, Aisha has a little thundercloud, Stella has this mini black hole? Mini eclipse? it’s awesome. And Terra is compressing her rock into a diamond! They close their eyes and concentrate on sending their magic to Musa and… nothing. It doesn’t work.
Aisha suggests they need more power, like the Dragon Flame if Bloom thinks she can control it. Bloom is confident. Everyone stands up and Bloom conjures a ball of glittery purpleish fire. She sends it towards the crystal Musa is holding and everyone else sends their magic too. It’s working! They can feel the power of their magic! But Musa is not feeling it, or if she is it’s freaking her out. Ashe says hang on, and then “I said, stop!” and drops the crystal, breaking the flow of magic.
Bloom asks what happened and Musa says “it wasn’t working” and heads for the door. Aisha says it was working but Musa flees leaving the others confused.
Terra says, “why are you still holding onto magic?” and Aisha and Bloom say they aren’t. Terra says “Good. Bit worried there.” What does that mean? Did Terra think they weren’t using their full power to help Musa or something else?
Anyway te crystal that is now full of everybody’s magic sparkles portentously. Sure would be bad if the Blood Witches got it… or Stella decided to give it to Beatrix…
Aisha is upset her plan didn’t work. Bloom immediately jumps on her saying it was a good idea, but since it didn’t work how about we bargain with Sebastian now? Aisha wants to know Bloom’s plan for snitching the book from Rosalind’s office and Bloom’s plan is to get Beatrix to do it since Stella thinks Beatrix is on their side now.
And Stella has gone to take Beatrix a drink. Poor Beatrix has been assigned to check the records of every student by calling their homes, to make sure everybody is who they say they are. Cold-calling and endless paperwork! Horrible! Also she said she’s made a hundred phone calls and has a hundred more to go, so there are two hundred students at this school. Stella offers to help and Beatrix immediately asks “what do you want?” but B lets Stella sit next to her and hands over a folder.
B reminisces about last year. She was the scary one, the powerful one. And now she’s groveling to Rosalind “just to stay involved.” Stella says nothing wrong with playing the game. She groveled to her mother in a letter. To get… something? B says she thought it was to get the crystal but Stella implies it was for something else, to be involved. Did she get the gem off in a scene that was cut for time? Stella says she’s playing good little princess now. And Stella does have a favor to ask, which clearly hurts Beatrix’s feelings.
Out at the stone circle—hey, they rebuilt that set for season 2!--Silva and Rosalind are talking tactics. Silva is confidant that Beatrix’s record checking will find the mole. Rosalind wants to do more, and Silva’s worried it’ll alarm the students. Rosalind says “You’re full of opinions” and Silva counters that he shares his unlike Andreas. And Rosalind says she’s not Miss Dowling and if Silva doesn’t get some information from last night out of Sky, she will. And she says “I just hope when I finish he can still form sentences.”
So, Silva stabbed Andreas trying to save a village full of people and now Rosalind threatened to lobotomize his kid. That’s… I dunno. I do wonder if there was a cut scene of Silva or Ben Harvey saying that Rosalind had changed since it’s hard to imagine them working with this lunatic for years.
Inside Sky finds Beatrix sitting in a window. He says he’s here to bring the book to Bloom. Beatrix says “I thought you’d apologize for killing my dad.” and Sky, or rather Sebastian, says Andreas was his dad and was about to kill Silva so he had no choice.
Beatrix says because of that everyone’s going to let Sky off the hook. But Beatrix won’t. Does B know what went down? It’s the blood witch she should be out for revenge on. But she gives Sky the book and walks off.
Rosalind is doing something lightningy at the stone circle.
And Sky did give the book to Bloom. Maybe he copied the pages first so Sebastian has them already and the book’s not good as a bargaining chip. Bloom’s going to Earth to meet Sebastian, since that’s the world he likes. She walks through the barrier around the school but just after, Rosalind’s magic finishes and the barrier goes solid. Bloom can’t get back in.
Through the barrier they have a conversation. Sky doesn’t say it but he doesn’t want Bloom to go. She makes a pointy remark about him never talking about his problems and says that she’s stronger than Sebastian. A lot stronger. Sky says the reason he doesn’t talk about his problems is that she’s the solution. Aaaaw, romance! Except is that Sky talking or Sebastian? I assumed once controlled always controlled but can a blood witch turn it on and off? They put their hands up on the barrier for a romantic moment and Bloom says she’s got this. She heads off.
She does not seem worried about getting back in so maybe she knows a way.
Musa has met up with Riven for sparring! she’s wearing a black longsleeved shirt and skintight red overalls with purple ovals on her chest that are actually not overalls because the shirt is separate. Musa has the most incomprehensible outfits of any of the girls. She’s also got a staff! She takes some swings at Riven and he blocks with his arms, which do not look armored but maybe they are. He gets the staff away from Musa pretty quickly and says she’s not a specialist, she could get hurt. But she fights back with punches and kicks. It’s sexy, because choreographed fighting set to music is always sexy. It looks like they had fun filming this.
It also occurs to me that Musa’s thing in season one was that she couldn't turn her power off, she was always picking up everyone’s thoughts. Should she be feeling relieved that it’s finally quiet inside her head? Or freaking out that it’s suddenly quiet and she doesn’t know how to handle the solitude? Something?
But then Aisha’s thing last season was that she was bad at magic and self conscious about it and that plot point vanished along with Terra’s mix of self conscious and competent. Bloom kept her “destiny ridden protagonist who makes bad choices” and Stella works because “child abuse survivor who uses bitchiness as a coping mechanism but is trying to be an actual good person” can cover her jerk moments and her nice ones.
So this sparring must be the Musa/Riven stuff we read about? Some of it anyway? Terra comes out and shoos Riven away so she can talk to Musa. Musa walks off. Terra follows. Musa says she’s tried of talking and “Terra-robics” How many magic rehabilitation exercises did Terra make her do? I feel like a scenes were cut here too because Musa is way more done with this nonsense than what we’ve seen.
Musa says, “I’m happy you’re living your truth but that doesn’t make you an expert on everyone else’s so can you just mind your own business?” And Terra says “Not about this!” and keeps following Musa, who keeps walking away, as I cringe so hard I’m practically on the other side of myself. Come on Fate, you just had a scene where everyone was acting like friends and now you give me boundary-ignoring Terra? The whiplash! Terra calls stuff like, “You can whine and call me overbearing and annoying but I’m not gonna stop until you get your magic back!” Which I can see Terra is trying to say “We won’t give up on you.” but this is the stalker way not the friend way to deliver that message.
Then Musa sinks up to her ankles in the ground so she can’t walk away anymore.
Riven comes to the rescue telling Terra that seems like a bit much. But Terra says she didn’t do it on purpose. Her magic’s all mucked up!
And we’re back in the dorm with textbooks open. Aisha explains that since the ceremony wasn’t completed they’re still connected to the crystal and “Low-key channeling, constantly” and her eyes and Flora’s light up.
There is a knock on the door and it’s Grey, wanting to talk to Aisha without the roommates listening in. Aisha says she can’t right now and Grey asks if he blew it with her. She reassures him that it’s just a crisis, not something he did. They kiss and the crystal glows Aisha’s blue color. Which is a nice deep blue, I think they made it darker than season 1. Aisha says that’s the solution to one of their crises. She shuts the door and Grey stands there looking thoughtful.
He did just see the magic crystal. I wonder if he’;s a baddie. \he seems normal but the previews did say all the new characters have a deep dark secret. Sebastian sure did but Flora’s only secret seems to be that she likes meddling in everything and looks cute in Sailor Moon buns, so who knows.
Flora says, ‘If you let him in a little more he’d understand why you have to shut him out.” But Aisha says they’re fine. And she has the solution! Channel your magic into the crystal and it’ll go back to normal. Easy for them, but Bloom’s gone off to meet the baddie with her Dragon Flame off the Leash! But not to worry, there’s one episode to go so she can’t kill ‘im yet.
Bloom is on Earth at a truck stop diner. Her eyes are flaming occasionally. Quiet music plays as she looks around then in through the diner window at Sebastian ordering food in the diner. She goes in and sits down. Sebastian ordered a chicken fried steak, even though he doesn’t know what that is. So there is one bit of Earth culture the Otherworld didn’t copy! Sebastian talks happily about how he loves “First world kitch” and a diner is the epitome of that.
And then he puppeteers everyone in the diner to put their knives to their own throats. And he points out, “You should hate me” and lists the things he’s done. He says he’s a scourge to fairykind but still Bloom came, “Make that make sense.”
Bloom says she does hate him and wants to see him in jail, but she needs him to get Musa’s magic back. The diners lower their knives and go back to eating like nothing happened. So Sebastian can turn it on and off and people forget after! Explains Sky. Bloom offers the book but guesses Sebastian can’t actually give Musa’s magic back. But he can tell Bloom how to do it. Then he waves the “Or, I could tell you about your birth parents” thing. But Bloom wants to know about Musa’s magic.
She slides the book over and Sebastian opens it. He says all the answers are actually in the book.
Which seriously, did they give the book away without copying every page? You are too dumb to live. But nobody else could read the book, and Sebastian can. He says it was his father’s book. Dad was a collector of “blood witch relics” during his lifetime. They lived in Aster Dell so all the relics got nuked. And dad “was obsessed with the dragon flame.”
But that’s all Sebastian says about that. Magic return options: 1, get a scraper to pull the magic out of Sebastian and stick it back into Musa. 2)murderize Sebastian and all the magic goes back where it belongs. Bloom asks why he told her that and Sebastian isn’t worried. She’s not gonna kill the guy with the answers. So they’re stuck.
Bloom says that’s it and gets up and walks out. She calls Aisha and tells her what she found out. Bloom clearly feels like she didn’t get much for giving away the book. Aisha tells her about the magic being supercharged. Aisha’s like “come home, you could lose control” and bloom’s like, “I can handle it.” because Bloom. She goes back in, slaps the table by Sebastian and says, “Let’s take a walk.” and Sebastian abandons his chicken fried steak and goes off with a dangerous teenage fairy he has no reason to talk with more.
Back at school Sky finds the flask he was drinking from when he got got. Silva comes over and is understanding, Sky doesn’t remember what happened because he was drunk. Apparently he turned up passed out in the east wing. Silva doesn’t lecture him—and well you shouldn’t, Silva, you’re a cool guy but you don’t exactly fight the culture of rampant teenage drinking at this school. Instead he says he got drunk for two years straight after he killed Andreas, but the responsibilities of parenthood sobered him up. And he's still trying to be that parent.
Sky says he can’t train, he gets flashbacks when he picks up his sword. Silva says he knows, and reassures Sky that it will get better in time and when he really needs to fight he’ll be able to.
Sky turns away but turns back to say he thought he was almost there with Andreas, almost to the point they could've had a relationship. Silva says looking to the future is the problem. Soldiers don’t get to do that. Which, as Sky says, is messed up. Silva says it is indeed messed up but that’s how it is. If you can stop planning a future you become “unshakeable” like all the great fighters. Sky says that sounds like a constant state of uncertainty but Silva calls it readiness. Sky says he doesn’t think that’s the kind of life he wants to live, and walks away.
Riven and Musa are sitting on the track where the specialists are trying to run. Riven delights in being obnoxious. Musa says it’s nice not to feel how mad the specialists are at them for blocking the path.
The phone buzzes. Terra's coming back. Riven says she really won’t stop until she gets Musa’s magic back, and he admits he saw what really happened at the barn. Flashback from the cut content! Musa walked into the room full of scrapers and held out her arms so a bunch of them could take all her magic. Riven was fighting so he couldn’t stop her in time. Musa says it’s been so hard her whole life. Riven channels his awesome side and says, “Your life is your life, you can live it how you want.” and he thinks her friends will understand. Musa doesn’t think they will.
Huh. Can one of the “Winx” not be a fairy? Guess we’ll probably kill Sebastian next episode and not have to answer that question. Be fun if Musa grabbed the wrong scraper and got some other power.
Terra arrives; they have to go get Bloom.
Who is “somewhere in the first world, I just don’t know where.” says Aisha, having narrowed it down to one planet. Stella, Aisha and Flora are telling Rosalind of all people. I hope at least SHE scanned the book. Rosalind has no interest in a rescue mission; Bloom with unstable magic could kill Sebastian and take care of the problem.
I mean, she’s not wrong.
Of course Beatrix told Rosalind about the plan. And about the convergence crystal, which Rosalind says is a good idea maybe worth looking into if Bloom doesn’t solve the problem.
Aisha declares that Bloom isn’t a killer and Rosalind says they’ll see.
Bloom leads Sebastian out behind the diner where there are trucks and stacks of tires. She says she’s done playing games and Sebastian asks if that means they’ll quit pretending it’s about Musa’s magic. Sebastian asks if that was just a ruse. Bloom’s eyes flame up and Sebastian steps back all “I don't mean you don’t care about your friend but...” and Bloom head-down stomps towards him snapping, “What do you want?”
He wants the Dragon Flame.
Which is weirdly out of place in this very Non-Winx show.
And if he gets it he’ll tell Bloom where she came from and give everyone else’s magic back. Bloom asks what he’ll do with it and he says “Right the wrongs of Aster Dell. But not like, kill all fairies or start a war. that’s Rosalind’s thing.” Bloom says Rosalind doesn’t want a war but Sebastain says oh yes she does.
Sebastian’s dad knew Rosalind, opposite sides but both keen to bring the violence. “Zealots obsessed with an ancient war.” The dragon flame was the big power, Sebastian’s dad found baby Bloom, brought her home, and… Rosalind nuked the town killing everyone there.
Rosalind says dad kidnapped her and Sebastian says no, found is right. Bloom asks what that means but Sebastian’s done. No more lore without payment. Decide now! The music builds and Bloom says… “Never gonna happen.” But Sebastian does want to leave Bloom with one more bit of info: Dowling’s fate. Bloom is quite shocked when she finds out Rosalind killed her. Sebastian says “I know, unexpected. The info, not the action. The action is very Rosalind.” heh. I do like Sebastian’s banter, he does it well. Bloom doesn’t want to believe it but Sebastian’s like, come on really is it that hard to believe? And tells her Dowling is buried in the graveyard. With a final “maybe you should’a thrown in with me-the-baddie instead of Rosalind-the-also-baddie, Sebastian walks off.
And Bloom starts to flame up.
Sebastian mentioned his father a lot but not by name. Are they building up to a Winx-name reveal or did they just not bother to name the dude?
At school Grey asks another specialist if there’s a way through the barriers. He has a family situation. But it’s no big deal.
Hang on, could Grey be Sebastian’s son? They don’t look totally not-alike and here he is being obviously sketchy. The other specialist Luke thinks so too, and calls Silva to report… but Grey sneaks up behind and puppeteers him! Grey is a blood witch! He just makes the guy say nothing's wrong—kind of cool how he does this, standing behind the guy and mouthing the words.
Inside, Stella is calling Beatrix out for telling on them. B says it’s just playing the game, Stella says Rosalind is different. Beatrix says if Rosalind kicks her out she doesn’t know where she’ll go.
Seriously? Beatrix doesn’t have a plan? Beatrix doesn’t have a list of bigwigs rated by who’d be the best sugar daddy? I mean *gestures at all of season one B*
Ok I guess you could say that all of B’s agency, her ability to spy and seduce and manipulate, was all based on the fanatical loyalty to Rosalind that her father ingrained in her through her whole upbringing and Beatrix doesn’t really have desires of her own. I know Beatrix lost her father, her magic, her dudes, and her hopes to be Rosalind’s right hand minion, that’s enough to drop anybody but it’s hard to believe Beatrix lost her whole core personality.
Also has anybody told Beatrix there’s ways to get her magic back? Also also, wasn’t baby Beatrix also found in Aster Dell with baby Bloom? She might still be part of the A-plot.
Anyway Beatrix says “don’t be surprised when I do whatever I need to to survive.”
I wonder if Stella was about to say something like “you have me” cementing the fastest weirdest ship ever, but Aisha calls. “Bloom called. Rosalind killed Dowling.”
Next thing Sky and the girls, minus Beatrix, are out in the woods banging on the barrier. They are worried. Rosalind is planning to meet Bloom at the portal, which must’ve been decided before Rosalind knew her secret was out.
Bloom arrives back in the Otherworld in a graveyard, I think it’s the same portal location as in season one. And Rosalind is sitting on the same bench where she and Dowling had their final chat. This must be a real place on the grounds of the castle. They have a tense conversation. Friends told Rosalind where Bloom was, Rosalind’s glad Bloom got back safely, Rosalind was more worried about Sebastian’s health than Bloom’s, Bloom says restraint is sometimes difficult and apologizes for not telling Rosalind, but Rosalind says it was good planning, better not to tip your hand.
Bloom says it went ok, Sebastian really believes Bloom would betray Rosalind. Rosalind says Bloom is like her. Bloom’s eyes flame and Rosalind asks if being similar bothers Bloom. Bloom doesn’t reply but Rosalind guesses by her troubled expression that maybe Sebastian “told her something that upset her.”
Aaaand I was kinda hoping Bloom would just flame up and put Rosalind out of my misery but she asks in a small voice if this is where Rosalind did it. Rosalind says, “A little to your right.” calm as anything. Bloom goes for her without fire and Rosalind mind magic slaps her down. While Bloom whimpers from magical torture Rosalind actually gets some emotion in her voice, saying her Plan A was for the two of them to work side by side, two powerful fairies, an example to the Otherworld. Bloom whimpers that she’s nothing like Rosalind, so Rosalind has to go with Plan B.
Rosalind surrounds herself with silvery clouds of magic. She puts them on Bloom, who frosts over, frozen in suspended animation. Rosalind says that even with Bloom frozen Rosalind can still channel the Dragon Flame from her and just do all her stuff by herself. “The uncomfortable truth is, if you really want to change the world for the better, you have to be capable of anything.” Spoken like a true terrorist, Rosalind. She says Dowling was weak too.
Bloom’s eyes flame and the very fake looking frost effect melts off her. Rosalind looks taken aback as Bloom climbs to her feet and summons an orb of Dragon Fire in front of her.
“On second thoughts, maybe I was wrong.” is Rosalind’s titanically dumb last words before Bloom flipping nukes her. Big dome of power, shockwave that blows around the others stuck in the barricade. Sky says to nobody, “Bloom, what did you do?”
Rosalind is now a charred corpse. As the others arrive Bloom says numbly, “I lost control.”
I dunno if being provoked by facts is the same as losing control. If ever there was someone who needed nuking, it’s Rosalind.
But what will happen now? Who can be the new headmistress? Will Bloom get arrested for murder? What’s Sebastian going to do now? Maybe he can be headmistress, start a tradition of putting awful people in charge of the school!

Master List
After a long few days drive, a lot of wrong turns and a stop by a cop, you had finally made it, The property your friend and her brother were trying to sell, It was the whole reason you had all come out here was to help them with the business side of the sale, Wanting to make the most of it the group had decided to turn it into a road trip to Utah and while you were there you were all going to go riding in the canyon’s over summer.
Once you had arrived at the siblings Devon & Regina’s property, Your boyfriend Tom, Devon & Samir their friend all stood outside laughing with a beer leaving the women you Regina & Terra to take all the bags in and get the place ready to stay in….Chivalry is definitely dead you thought rolling your eyes.
When everything was set up, The three of you had managed to wrangle up a meagre dinner. Shouting the boys inside you all tucked in before heading to bed. Tom stumbling drunkenly and more than likely drugged up behind you, Pulling your body to his chest slurring his words.
“Finally Alone Y/N, Bout time we sealed the deal here”
Wanting to gag as you felt the revulsion sweeping through your stomach.
“Go to sleep Tom” You hissed through your teeth, pulling your body away from his. You weren’t going to let your first time be with him in the state he was in, In this disgusting place. It wasn’t like you wanted anything romantic, Just not this. The first time you had sex you should at least feel something other than sick at the prospect.
“Frigid bitch” He murmured before rolling away from you, His snores following soon after.
The next day had at least been better taking the bikes from the barn feeling your body physically relax riding through the canyons as it always did when you were on a bike, That was until Samir had gotten a wheel stuck in an old tunnel coming off the bike and having to be rescued before the skin could be torn from his face.
Pulling up to the Luna Mesa afterwards so ready to drink the day away, It definitely didn't look like much but as long as the beer was cold you couldn’t of cared less, Once you had gotten your first drinks and sat down a man came over to speak to Devon introducing himself as Walter, The owner of the bar and the man taking care of the property you were staying in.
After the first drink you had started to feel the exhaustion of the day falling over you, Tom gave you a quick peck on the cheek as you both stood, Him going outside to have his cigarette and you excusing yourself to use the restroom.
Patting your chest and face with cold water you tried to wake up, It was going to be a long night. You knew the guys they would want to spend most of the night here drinking, When they were all together they usually drank until dawn, You scoffed thinking about it college boys ugh…
Leaving the toilet you glanced over to the door just as Tom knocked into Samir sending the drinks to the floor. Before you knew it Tom had been thrown into the bar.
“Easy Partner” Tom groaned, not really aware of what was happening.
“Do i look like your fucking partner? As a matter of fact i don't think i fucking know you?” The man growled back angrily.
Devon noticing the commotion rushed over to help. “Hey mac...MAC!.. It’s uh been awhile ….remember me? That’s tom he’s my cousin”
“Man Devon Ashton and his cousin Tommy, I never thought I'd see you again” Mac replied, his attention fully on Devon now getting close enough to be in his face.
Devon continued looking towards Tom and Samir trying to keep his tone light “This is mac he owns the dog”
Terra cutting in "Oh the animal lover” She scoffed.
Mac ignored this turning back to the bar and raising his voice “Reunion like this is cause for a celebration, Let’s have some whiskey”
Noticing your friend Regina, Still next to the table standing looking worried, You made your way over to her, Still listening to the exchange at the bar as it seemed everyone in the place was.
“I’m fine with beer” Devon replied, keeping his voice level.
“You're gonna have whiskey” Mac declared. The look in his eyes leaving no room for argument taking a bottle from under the counter he poured two shots handing one to Devon and one for himself.
Not taking his eyes off Devons whilst they both threw them back, Taking the glass back from Devon he walked back to the bar.
Everything was silent for a moment, Mac drawing something in the spilt salt on the bar that only Walter could see, Their eyes meeting before he swiped it away, Turning to Terra “Where did Devon find a nice girl like you?”
Terra seemingly un-phased by the tension in the room, Giggling she pointed first at Devon’s chest “Fraternity boy - sorority girl” She replied pointing at herself giving him a wide smile
“College huh? Seems like such a big waste of time to me, but your brave though, Coming out here with Regina after what happened”
Regina ran her hand through her hair when the man’s eyes met hers, “I have to pee” She mumbled nervously before running off to the bathroom leaving you alone, Feeling uncomfortable you moved until you were stood partially behind Terra your hand on her arm trying to pull her back a step, Ready to get out of the way if things were to go sour.
The stranger wasn’t deterred by this “I wouldn't be brave like that, I’d be scared...Heard after your parents little accident Someone gave your little sister a ride. Busted her wide open, isn't it nasty Devon?….”
Devon cut him off swinging a punch at him, “Fuck you”
He reacted quickly moving out of the way and pushing Devon’s head down onto the bar, Holding Terra’s arm firmly, You shook your head slightly trying to warn her not to get involved. Your eyes meeting Tom’s now panicked as he stepped forward and was stopped by a few of the man’s friends.
“That’s fuckin sick...Do you like it?” The bartender jumped into action seeming to know that this would only get worse. He hit a baseball bat against the bar top in a warning. Terra brushed you off; she stood between the two trying to separate them.
“Mac You don't wanna do that son” Mac backed off instantly, Raising the bat to his shoulder the bartender continued “Just a precaution. “Let's dance” Terra said to Mac taking his hand and trying to pull him towards the empty space between the bar and the tables
Mac looked her over once before his eyes met yours still as you stood awkwardly to the side, Throwing her hand away. “Nah” He sneered “Her...She's gonna dance with me” Terra gave you a warning glare over his shoulder, ‘Just do it!’ she mouthed with wide eyes.
Gulping you nodded nervously, Mac pushed harshly through the group, grabbing your waist and dragging you backwards, Once near the tables again both his hands finding your ass he pulled your core to his, Your chest hitting him with a thump.
In a move to steady yourself you put your hands up on the top of his arms as he pushed his face into your neck, His firm arms felt incredible in your grasp.
“You feel fuckin good princess” He growled in your ear before licking a line from the base of your neck to your ear. The breath hitching in your throat. “Real fucking good, Too good for him, I’ll be takin ya for maself” You tried to push the blush in your cheeks away, His core still against yours, you could feel his arousal growing. Taking a deep shaky breath a familiar feeling stirring inside you.
The feeling should have been fear, Surely that’s what your meant to feel as a redneck asshole was groping you, rubbing against you like he owned you. But all you could feel was electricity running through your body like you were meant to be his.
Forgetting for a moment that your friends and boyfriend were staring incredulously at you both, As his teeth nipped the pulse point on your neck, your nipples hardening in response and your panties dampening for him.
Looking him over, He was the stereotypical country boy, His hair and beard a little long, The red and white flannel shirt wrapped around his waist, He was a little dirty but the way his muscles strained against the fabric of his shirt, His well defined collar bones poking out at the top. He was fucking hot, There was no way you could deny this was a real man, Not a college boy like you were used to. The dark glint in his eye threatening to turn you into putty in his hands.
His hands had now found the hem of your Jean shorts gripping harshly at your exposed flesh mouth back to your ear “Can he even fuck, Or do you want a real man to show ya” Pulling his face back his eyes fixed on yours, Your mouth dropping open breath heavy, Not able to hide the effect this man was having on you.
It was over too suddenly your boyfriend Tom had now pushed forward grabbing your arm and all but throwing you towards the door.
Mac looked amused at his reaction, “This your man?” Tom answered for you. “Yeah i am, Let’s go Y/N”
Tom pushed you towards the door, still staring warily at Mac, Mac tilted his head with that gorgeous dark look in his eye and a smirk.
“Not for long....I’ll be seeing you Y/N” It almost sounded like a threat but Why were you wishing it was a promise?
Regina had rejoined you all now standing behind her brother, Mac’s eyes glanced over her before falling back on Tom who had his chest pushed out clearly torn between fight or flight. Pushing you again you all made it to the door.
Pulling Tom’s arm gently you all made it back to the van jumping in and heading home in near silence, Just an angry tension running through the car. Looking over at Regina, You could tell something was bothering her, Regina had been your best friend since she had moved to California with her brother, You had been fast friends even going to the same college, that was how you had met Tom.
Tom was a cocky all american jock, The guy that would usually make your eyes roll with his arrogance. You were sure if he had met you a year before he did he wouldn’t have looked at you like he did now. You were well…you. It was only when you got to college that you even started to think that maybe you could be beautiful.
When you left home moving to campus and into Regina’s sorority everything about you had changed, You didn’t want to be the person you were before.
She was dead, The girl who had been overlooked and bullied. Since leaving home the bruises your abusive parents had constantly given you had faded and you were able to step away from the baggy clothes letting the girls change your wardrobe. You were taking care of yourself more, Making an effort with your appearance, determined that college would be the rebirth of you.
No one who had known you before would have recognised you now.
You hadn’t done it for the attention that you now had an abundance of, You had just wanted to feel more like you, More free. Not realising how it would have the opposite effect when all the boys started to hound you. At first you had enjoyed the attention having gone so long being ignored but now you had grown to hate it it seemed like every idiot on campus had made it his mission to take you as a trophy even some of the professors had made more than one inappropriate comment.
It had taken Tom a while to convince you to go out with him, Even enlisting Regina to wear you down until you had said yes.
When you had eventually agreed the date hadn’t been bad, Yeah you guessed he talked a lot about himself and didn’t really seem to interested in learning much about you, But to be honest it was a welcome break, You hated when people asked too many questions, There was too much in your past that you just weren't proud of. Instead you preferred to be quiet and study those around you. You had studied him intensely, He was a very good looking guy who seemed to have a good enough intellect to keep up with you in the very least, You could have done a lot worse, Also it helped that having Tom around seemed to discourage the creepers which was a definite bonus!
When he had asked you to go to Utah with the group for the summer to ride dirt bikes you had gratefully accepted. Excited to be spending the whole summer away from your fucked up family.
You had done a good job at hiding the insane mess you had come from, It was only one night when you had, had a few too many you had opened up to Regina and she opened up to you in return, You knew you couldn’t let her go back with her brothers stuck up girlfriend without you, She would need someone who understood.
Regina never seemed to really recover from the horror’s of her past, The torment always in her eyes. She had never told you who had done those unspeakable things to her, You weren’t sure she even knew herself.
Sidling over to Regina in the car. “You ok sugar?” She flinched as you pulled her from her thoughts, Grumbling something about being fine. You put your hand in hers giving it a small reassuring squeeze as you all went back to your silence.
It was only when you all got home to the house that Tom finally broke the silence. Turning on you and blocking you from entering.
“What the fuck was that about Y/N!”
Sighing you knew it was coming “I was doing what Terra told me to! We needed to calm the situation down or someone was about to get hurt!”
Your eyes meeting his you could see the jealousy in them “Looked like you needed calming down Y/N you liked that hillbilly asshole putting his hands on you eh?”
Terra shoved Tom out of the way “Leave her alone. He would have destroyed you, He would have picked his teeth with your bones you delusional little prick, He would have killed the both of you two” Glaring at Devon and Samir. Putting her hand in yours she dragged you inside “C’mon Y/N we need a drink”
After a lot of arguing you had gone to the bedroom and pretended to be sleeping when you had felt the bed sag at the side of you when Tom had come to bed. Laying awake for most of the night you let your mind wander over how you had felt pressed against his body.
He felt like a man who knew what he wanted and took it and in the haze of that moment you wanted nothing more.
The mood between you and Tom hadn’t changed in the morning, The plan for the day had been to go for a hike as a group but with tensions high between you two and then Devon and Terra the group had split.
Regina, Devon, Samir & You had gone for the hike in the canyons whilst Terra and Tom had decided to go out on the Dirt bikes.
Terra had tried to reassure you with a soft squeeze to the arm before your groups separated. During your hike everyone had stayed relatively silent only making small observations, A few miles in, Samir had to take a break, Pulling a cigarette from his pocket, While Devon ribbed him for smoking, Samir reached over putting his hand on Regina’s leg. Which caused her to freeze up before standing and mumbling that she was heading back to the van to lie down.
Regina took off before you could stop her.
“Just let her go, It’s ok she just needs to be alone” Devon murmured, Devon wandered a little behind her before stopping and watching she was still on the right track from afar. With Devon out of earshot Samir stood walking over to you, Putting his arm around your waist.
You stiffened as his grip brought you closer to him.
“Thought they’d never leave...Gives us time to get to know each other”
“Uhhh Samir, My boyfriend is your best friend….I think we know each other well enough” You gave him an alarmed look before moving away as far as you could his hand still holding your waist.
“What he doesn't know won’t hurt him….He’s told us you know….That you still haven’t put out. Figured you weren’t interested in the pretty boy” He grinned with a chuckle.
Pulling yourself completely away from him “I don’t see how that’s any of your business creep?” You quipped before yelling to Devon that you were going to explore promising you would be back soon and wouldn’t stray too far.
Watching Samir take a resigned seat back in the shade you took off glad for a few moments alone, The hairs on your neck suddenly stand up, Feeling like prey awaiting the predator’s move. Were you being watched?
When you did a quick sweep with your eyes of the area and saw no one you thought it must just be the after effects of him last night, Letting your mind dwell now on the feelings that had overtaken you last night, Immediately heating up. Looking around now more carefully and still seeing that you were alone.
Letting yourself fully explore those thoughts, Seeing a slight indent in the rock, Perfect. It wasn’t a real cave that could have dangers hidden inside but it would at least hide you if one of the group came to look for you.
You may have been a virgin but you weren’t completely innocent, Completely in tune with your own body, Never pushing too far in to keep your hymen intact for the man you would eventually give it to.
Brushing your hand down your body you let it wander into your shorts feeling the dampness spreading through your fingers, Humming contentedly as you started to work on yourself softly pressing your fingers inside slightly before bringing them to your clit spreading your fluids rolling your clit in your fingers.
Your other hand had worked inside your top finding your erect nipple easily tweaking it between your fingers. Imagining you could still feel him pressed against you, Letting out a soft moan biting down on your lip remembering that dark dangerous glare, The need in his eyes. The need for you.
“Oh Mac..” You moaned softly as your imagination ran wild.
“What the fuck did you just say cunt?” Eyes springing open and hands pulling from their previous places you came face to face with him, The man who just thought of him had turned you on so much you just had to take care of it.
Letting the blush rise in your cheeks, Looking away from him. “Shit….I’m so sorry Mac. I didn’t know you were there…” You mumbled.
He rushed forward pressing his whole body against you bouncing your hips off the harsh rock behind you, From the twang of pain still radiating through them you knew it would be bruised tomorrow but feeling him there pressed up on you, You didn’t give it a second thought.
His hand harshly pushed your head upwards to look at him, “Did’ya just say my fuckin name?”
The Dark dangerous look was in his eyes again but there was something else there too that you just couldn’t place. Nodding slightly averting your eyes from him.
“Fuuucckkk…” He groaned, Just as you opened your mouth to apologise again his mouth was on yours, His tongue not waiting for permission just pushing past your lips and exploring your mouth, Momentarily frozen in shock as you felt his teeth smashing into yours, His hand snaking down the front of your shorts groaning into your mouth as he felt your wetness.
Before you knew what you were doing you were pushing your hands into his hair moaning along with him, Your tongue dancing with his greedily. His fingers teasing your clit rubbing in harsh circles.
His lips stopped moving long enough to make a demand of you “Say it again” he growled.
His nails scratching down your length dipping into your heat.
“Oh Mnmm Mac!” You moaned arching your hips towards him, Your lips searching for his, His fingers hitting that sensitive spot inside you making you mewl for him.
“You’re playin with the devil bitch” he breathed out, Moaning at his words feeling the burn inside you grow stronger maybe that was exactly what you needed to do, Your hand reached out brushing the tent now in his overalls.
A deep angry growl rips from him as he pulls away from you, Turning and heading into a small cave to the side. “Wait-” You tried to call after him.
“Y/N? You over here?” Shit! He must have heard them, that's why he fled. Rearranging your clothes quickly and patting your hair down, It was now or never.
Coming from behind the rock face you see Devon looking for you worried.
“Hey I'm here, Sorry I had to get some shade!” You said far too huskily the arousal still in your voice.
“Yeah, Looks it? Let’s get you back, You're looking a little flustered Reggie will kill me if anything happened to ya” Following behind him back to the van you noticed how he pointedly didn’t say Tom, He probably knew there was nothing really there between the two of you.
Back at the van you felt the eyes on you again, Smirking you pulled the water from your bag you poured it over your face and chest. Reggie raised a questioning eyebrow at you once you’d finished.
Shrugging “What it’s too hot!” You snapped at her. Climbing quickly into the van before the boys noticed how your top had gone see through with the water.
As the van starts to pull away you spare a glance in the direction you felt the glare coming from, He was standing in the open now that dark look in his eyes as he watched you leave, Bringing the fingers that had been touching you so incredibly to his mouth licking them clean. His eyes fixed on yours as the van got further away.
Your mind still stuck on Mac as Reggie shook you, “Were here lets get something to eat” Nodding at her you followed into the bar ordering quickly and barely paying attention to the conversation.
“Hey are you ok?” Nodding again “Think I got a bit of sun stroke” You mumbled. Accepting this as an answer Devon paid for your dinner before heading back to the house.
The sight that met you was hilarious, That prick tom and Terra stuck on the roof of the barn with the poor dog Tom had been tormenting on their heels keeping them up there.
“Stop fucking laughing Y/N DO SOMETHING” Tom yelled at you, sighing you leant over your bag grabbing the sandwich you forgot to eat, Putting two fingers into your mouth you let out a loud whistle.
Grabbing the dogs attention instantly “C’mere baby” As he approached you warily a snarl on his mouth. Samir was behind you holding the gun. Glaring at him “You are not shooting that dog!” You growled making him put it down and his hands up in defence.
“Less of that! Sit!" You commanded clicking your fingers and pointing down. Keeping your eyes on the dog “Reggie get me the rope!” Giving the dog the sandwich and turning to Reggie taking the rope from her. The dog snarled slightly again as you slipped it around its neck.
“How the fuck did you do that?” Tom asked, As he started climbing down from the shed. Shrugging your shoulders. “Dog’s like me I guess?” As the dog finished it noticed Tom lunging back towards him. “It’s you he doesn't like” You giggled.
“C’mon sweetheart let’s take you home” You cooed at him tugging the rope enough to get his attention. Walking away ignoring the protests. Mac’s home was only a 10 minute walk away, Once away from the others you noticed the dogs attitude change significantly. Tongue lolling from its mouth playfully playing with a stick he had found on the walk.
As you approached your heart started beating harder seeing him there, Fuck he looked hot the way his overalls hung from his hips, The way his muscles moved as he kicked the dogs pen angrily.
Clearing your throat “Loose something?” Startled Mac span around “Fuck you doin here bitch!” Pointing at the dog happily sat at your feet. Giving him a scratch behind his ear. “This little cutie decided to get loose and trap my boyfriend and friend on top of a barn” You giggled.
Mac rushing to you both he ripped the rope from around the dog's neck “House, Now” he commanded pointing at the shack. Getting in your face he growled “Get the fuck outta here before you regret it bitch”
What the fuck? You thought he would at least be happy to see you. Feeling the anger surge.
“If it weren't for me” Smacking his chest “They would have shot that dog! Could at least say thank you!” Half yelling at him.
“Thank you?” He mused “I’ll show ya fuckin thank you” Lunging forward he grabbed you tight to him, Wrapping a hand in your hair pulling you towards the shack behind him.
His lips met your angrily as you crossed the threshold of the house. Your nose wrinkled as you were met with a smell that you couldn’t quite place, A mixture of rotting food, dust and sweat.
Spinning you he thrust you towards a room “Get in there cunt”
The bedroom wasn’t too bad, It was a mess sure but the smell in here was nothing like the rest of the house, There was a huge hole in the ceiling but the sheets looked clean enough. Sensing your hesitation, Mac grabbed you again, throwing you face first on the bed.
Before you had time to turn over he was on you, hands pulling your loose shorts off, Panties coming down with them, His fingers digging into your side as he went. Flipping you onto your back he moved to your shirt ripping it over your head.
“Mac what are yo-” He cut you off with a harsh backhand to the face. “Shut the fuck up, You think you can just walk around being a fucking tease and not get whats coming to ya?”
“I wasn’t” Backhanded again “Don’t fucking LIE! The water? Playin with ya damn self! You knew i was watching”
Your head was ringing from the hits, As terrified as you should be at this moment you still couldn’t find the fear, The only feeling was the burning in your loins that you hadn’t been able to quell since you had first laid eyes on him.
In the blink of an eye his overalls and boxers had both dropped to the floor leaving him in only his ratty what used to be white tank top. Gripping your knees he forced them apart pushing them down onto the bed. In one swift move he was in you, A scream breaking from your lips as he tore through your hymen as if it wasn’t even there.
As he turned your face to his you let out a whimper, your body fighting against the pain trying to adjust to his huge size.
“You were a virgin?” He asked with a shocked expression stopping his movements, Nodding weakly “Please” You begged. His hand flew to your throat.
Chuckling “Please what? Stop? i aint had a virgin in a long ass time like fuck i'm stopping!”
“Please….More” A small moan breaking through, Between the pain you were feeling from his claiming of you and the pressure around your throat, It was enough to send you spiralling around him.
He laughed fully now “Ain’t ever had a bitch ask for more before…..” His gravelly voice was sending tingles down your spine, His lips met your throat licking a small line down from your pulse to the underside of your breast, Biting down hard, Screaming again you felt as his teeth punctured hard enough to draw blood.
Finally he moved, Drawing almost fully out of you before thrusting until he bottomed out in you again. The scream turned into a strangled moan as he licked the blood from you, Biting down again on your ribs, Drawing blood there too.
When his head reared back your blood dripped down his chin, His eyes glowing with malevolence, his tongue darting out to lick the blood from his lower lip. Fuck it was hot, So fucking hot.
You were panting now at the sight in front of you. Reaching forward you grabbed his tank pulling his lips to yours. The metallic taste on his lips only spurring you on as your tongues fought each other for dominance.
Leaning back he pushed his thighs under yours lifting your hips higher impossibly pushing even deeper into you, He let go then, Thrashing in and out of you his fingers holding on so tightly to your hip bones that they would definitely at the very least be bruised if not ripped open.
“Ahh fuck Mac!” You screamed feeling the burning growing to a new height.
“Cum for me bitch” He growled his pace moving quicker, His incredible length brushing hard against that little rough patch in you. One of his hands now came down on your clit pinching it roughly before rubbing harsh circles around it.
Everything went dark as your orgasm ripped through you, Your body arching upwards as you exploded screaming his name.
He followed straight after a string of profanities falling from his mouth as he collapsed on top of you.
Your entire body was shaking, Sure you’d had orgasms in the past playing with yourself but nothing like this, Everyone said that the first time would be painful and it would suck.
Painful yes, But no one had told you how good the pain would feel.
As the dark spots in your eyesight started to clear he pushed himself from you, His hand cupping your bruised pussy. Slipping a lone finger inside he scooped some of your mixed juices onto it before thrusting it into your mouth.
Moaning around his fingers as your combined bitter tastes enveloped your senses. You felt yourself getting wet again at this. “Fuck little bitch, Yer making me love you” His voice strained eyes wide as you licked his finger clean.
Grabbing a rag to the side of him he threw it over your face. “Clean ya damn self up and get the fuck out, I got places to be”
Shocked you did as he told you but as you moved to pull your panties back on he snatched them from you, “Not these, These are mine” The gleam in his eyes was back as he brought them to his nose breathing in the scent before pushing them into the pocket of the overalls he had just pulled back on. You’d noticed when he had put them on he hadn’t bothered to clean your blood or his cum from himself.
Nodding at him you pulled your shirt and shorts back on the sense of pride you felt knowing he had a part of you with him now, Feeling like part of you was marking him as he had you with the bites.
Shit the bites! You grabbed the rag again lifting your shirt and bra and wiped the blood that was now drying from them making sure it wouldn’t seep through your shirt.
His back was to you now as you were ready to leave, Sighing you tried to touch him, The second your hand touched his shoulder he span pinning you against the nearest wall his hand pulling your hair back so you were looking into his eyes.
“You’re fucking lucky i'm letting ya live, Might just change my mind…….Now get the fuck out of here” He yelled dragging you to the door and thrusting you out of it.
After you had returned home gratefully no one had paid much attention to you once they had noticed Regina was missing, If you thought what had just happened was crazy the night was only getting worse.
Regina had to be rescued from the cave, Mac had been arrested and now Regina had come back screaming in the middle of the night insisting she had seen her old flame Harley dead outside
Rushing out after her Devon grabbed the gun from by the door. Regina led you back to the car “he's inside!” “You sure Regina?” Devon questioned looking at his sister like she was nuts “look! I saw him look!” She pushed him towards the car “at what?”
Tom looked over Devon’s shoulder, chuckling “How many of those pills did you take reg? What’s next, pink flying elephants?” Laughing harder now, “C’mon Y/N we're going to bed” Tom reaches his arm around you trying to pull you away with him making you flinch as his fingers graze the bite on your ribs.
He had turned you both around when Terra spoke up “Guys there's something in the back” As you all moved towards the back Samir opened the boot, The sheriff's body, tumbling out. There was a chorus of “oh shit! “Fucks” as you all took in the shock of finding the dead man.
“What, Dead?” Tom asked jumping backwards, hiding partially behind you, You snorted fucking pussy.
“Yeah that's one dead pink flying elephant” Samir confirmed for him.
“Shouldn't we do something for him?” Terra asked, the fear clear in her eyes.
“What do you wanna do for him? Take him inside and give him a beer? Huh? He's dead!” Tom yelled at her.
Ignoring his outburst she replied “I don't know, cover him up?” Devon lent forward grabbing the sheriff's coat from behind him and covering his face with it.
Regina brought the attention back to her now as she stood away from the group “I saw Harley in there he was in there before!”
Devon sighed “Regina don't!”
“He’s out here! whoever killed him is still out here!” She argued
Taking in her panicked expression Devon “Are you sure you saw Harley? Are you sure you didn't just see the sheriff?”
“It could have been roger rabbit it could have been anybody” Tom cut in. You gave him a swift smack around the back of his head as Devon turned around yelling “Would you shut up!”
As he turned the gun went off, Tom collapsed to the side of you screaming, Jumping into action you followed him down seeing the source of the bleeding, Good it’s only his calf it should be okay. Putting your hands on the wound trying to stem the bleeding.
The guys grabbed him, helping bring him inside while you kept the pressure on.
Once he was back in the cabin on the couch You moved back letting Samir take over. “You fucking shot me you asshole!” Tom seethed at Devon Before hissing at Samir “Careful fuck!”
“You really got me good didn't you, You trigger happy bastard” He spat turning his attention back to Devon. He tried to excuse himself “It's not my fault it went off!” “You shot my fucking leg off” Rolling your eyes at that, Yes he had just been shot but fuck was he dramatic!
Samir asked Terra to call for an ambulance, The fear in her face said it all. No phone.
Trying to keep Regina calm was an impossible feat never mind adding Tom to the mix.
As Terra tries to suggest making a plan the lights go out Sending Regina into a worse panicked state “We're all gonna die in here. I should have never come back here”
“Were all gonna die here? We’re all here because of you” Tom spat at her and grabbed your hand pulling you to him. Terra gave you a sad look “Were all in this together”
“OH fuck together!!, She’s the one who had to go to that cave! Let me fucking tell you something! Sometimes when you look in dark places Reggie, There are real fucking monsters there you understand!” You gave him a filthy look at this pulling your hand from him
“Being a fucking asshole is not gonna help, She's your fucking Cousin! The least you could do is watch your tongue!”
After a few minutes you had all come up with a plan, Devon and Regina we’re going to Mac’s house to try for a phone and Samir was taking one of the Bikes to try and get help. Leaving you, Terra and Tom in the house.
You watched as Terra got close to Tom on the couch. Snorting you grabbed the bottle of Whiskey from the side walking towards your room.
“Y/N where the fuck are you going?” Tom snarled after you.
Stopping in the doorway to your room “If we're all gonna die, Might as well be drunk!”
“We should stay together”
Laughing at him now “I thought you said ‘Fuck together’ Tom? Thought you two would want the time alone anyway. You’ve been fucking her since we’ve been together”
They both stammered trying to cut you off “Don’t even try to deny it, Honestly i don’t give a shit” You took a long pull of the whiskey and slammed the door behind you. Settling into the bed, If this was Mac he wouldn’t kill you would he?
You had been there drinking in silence for around half an hour, Hearing a noise at the open window you moved closer and let out a shriek when Devon grabbed your arm.
“Why is the fucking door locked?” He asked as he pulled himself through the window “Where is Reggie?” You countered.
“She’s at Mac’s, Blacked out, i need your help to bring her back” Making your way back into the living room you watched as Terra broke away from Tom’s side. “We need to talk Y/N” He grumbled looking between you and Devon.
“No we really don’t” Before you could say anymore you were interrupted by a scream outside. Rushing out Reggie collapsed into your arms. Pulling her in behind you, Devon pulling her away arguing in hushed voices.
As the hour ticked on, Devon and Regina whispered to each other Terra and Tom eyeing you worriedly and you drinking, Waiting for Samir or someone to come and help.
When the sound of a truck got closer. You knew exactly who it was. It was like your blood started singing, Your heart pounding in your ears, the bite on your side itching for him.
The lights from the truck flooded the cabin, Looking out you saw him even with the Mask covering his face you knew exactly who it was.
You watched as he pulled something from the bed of his truck. Shit! Scarpering backwards away from the window pushing Reggie with you who had come up behind you to see what was going on. “MOVE” You yelled at her, As the projectile smashed through the window.
Your body was still covering hers as you both turned to look at the pole which had landed only inches from where you had just been, Was he aiming for you? I guess that answers the earlier question, He would definitely kill you. Why in the hell does that still make you so fucking hot for him.
Tom yells out “what the fuck is that? A pole he threw a fucking pole at us?”
Devon leans forward noticing the cloth wrapped around something on the end. Opening it he jumps back realising it’s Samir’s head.
The bile rushing up your throat as you notice a note attached. Devon leant forward, grabbing it before moving away again. “ ‘Shouldn’t have touched what wasn't his’ What the fuck does that mean? What the fuck did he do?” Regina interrupted him. “The tunnel, Grandpa’s tunnel”
Terra’s head flashed upwards “What tunnel? Can we escape?”
Devon got up moving Regina out of the way and hooked his fingers into a grate on the floor pulling it up“It’s a tunnel my grandfather built when they raided the place during prohibition.”
Tom cut him off “It's no time for a history lesson ok! My best friend's head is sitting on the carpet” Terra helped Tom from the couch as Devon dropped into the hole in the floor. Checking it out before giving the all clear.
Tom reached his arm out to you as he approached giving you a soft look. Giving him a small smile, You weren’t really angry, You’d probably even forgive him if you all survived this, Hell you had done the same thing with Mac. If there was one thing you weren’t it was a hypocrite.
Mac. Even just thinking his name made your heart stop. You grimaced, were you crazy? He was outside trying to kill you and your friends but yet you still wanted him.
Helping tom into the hole in the floor Terra went next then Reggie then you. As you had gotten a few feet down the tunnel Reggie gasped “My necklace!” She tried to fight past you “It was my mothers! I need to get it!”
“Ok, Ok! I’ll get it! Just stay quiet!”
Crawling back to the opening you pushed upwards almost getting it when you felt a hand in the back of your hair pulling you out. “Where the fuck did you think you were going bitch?”
Mac pulled you backwards into him as you struggled to get free. You could hear Reggie crying from the Tunnel, Terra trying to calm her down when another voice mixed in with theirs.
“Oh seriously Reggie? who gives a fuck it’s only Y/N Fucking leave her ass. C’MON” Tom yelled. This stopped your fighting what the fuck? Their noises died away, They really had just left you. All the fight left fuck it if he was going to kill you he might as well get on with it.
“Go on, Kill me then!” You spat. As you spoke he let you go, Turning to him you could see the murderous gleam in his eyes.
“You think i’m going to kill you? I’ve only just started with you Y/N” He grinned “Him though….Oh I’m going to enjoy killing him” Grabbing the pole with Samir’s head still impaled on it using his foot to pull the pole free he walked down the hallway listening intently.
“Little rats think they can scurry away” He laughed before thrusting the pole through the floor, Laughing harder when he heard the screams below. Pulling it out and heading further down the hall he stabbed again twice. He noticed you watching him curiously. “What was the note about Mac?” Your voice sounded braver than you felt.
You noticed Samir’s blood still on his hands, arms and splattered across his chest, The sadist smile still on his face as he moved closer to you. Putting his hands around your back and pulling you into him. His lips at your ear.
“I saw him, Yesterday putting his hands on you, On whats fuckin mine” He lowered his lips to your neck biting down hard. An aroused groan rising through your chest. What the hell was this man doing to you. It felt like you were losing all your faculties, All that was left was him. He was all you cared about.
“C’mon time for that later” Pulled you out of the cabin he pushed you into the passenger side of his truck before getting in himself. Driving a short distance he stopped pulling you out with him. You both stayed silent still in a stupor of sorts you followed him blindly not caring what was happening as long as he was there with you.
It didn’t take long for you to stumble across a light in the distance, With the way the light was moving it had to be a fire. Putting his finger to his lips he stalked towards the fire leaving you there. No! He couldn’t just leave you here! Following after him as silently as you could you watched as he crept over the top of the rock shielding the people from view.
His hand going to his belt, You could see the fire glinting in the metal of the huge knife. Creeping closer again you heard the scream as his hand plunged over the rock into someone.
Moving around the edge you saw who. He was wildly plunging the knife in and out of Tom. Blood poured from him as Reggie screamed and ran. The scream seemed to pull you from your trance. Eyes flicking between the direction Reggie had disappeared to and Mac who was now wrists deep inside Tom’s stomach ripping at the guts inside him.
The glee on his face was evident. Looking at you “Look apparently the gutless bastard, Had them after all! My mistake” The evil chuckle was enough to make the choice for you. You'd felt the unnatural stir inside you of approval at his actions. But you couldn't give into that evil, Not now, Not when your friend needed you.
Running after Regina you desperately tried to catch up to her, You had to find her. Stumbling along you ran for what felt like hours. She was gone. The sun had come up now and you were all alone.
You couldn’t stop walking, This was a mistake. She had left you twice now. The only one who hadn’t left you was Mac, Mac you needed to find Mac! You continued on with more determination now. It wasn’t long until you heard them.
“well what do we have here? The lost pussy! did golden boy leave you all alone”
You could see them now, Mac grabbed her face pulling her to him, kissing her before throwing her to the ground. Jealousy raged within you. It should have been you he was kissing!
“I told that little bitch not to come here but you never listen”
“Don’t fucking touch me” Terra yell grabbing a log at the side of her and hitting him around the head with it. Fucking Bitch!
He stumbled for a moment before he was back on her, Throwing her back to the ground kicking her repeatedly in the stomach, Gripping her arm and pulling her back upwards pulling her tight to his chest, Just like he did to you.
Terra tried to hit him again.
“You’re making me love you just like your little friend, that day she was the only one that got it” He threw her back to the floor kicking her knees apart “That kid fucked us all”
She tried to fight him
“I’m sick of this shit! You’ll beg to die” He growled. Diving forward, Ripping her shirt from her body, She fell to the ground as Mac shrugged out of his overalls letting them hit the ground. Terra looked wild as she got back up “Your not gonna do that to me” She screamed running towards him.
You don’t know what came over you but you just couldn’t let her. Running at Terra you hit her before she got to Mac, The force of your body hitting hers sent her tumbling off the edge of the Canyon. Almost falling off with her when you felt the arms clasp around your stomach pulling you to Safety. Peaking over the edge you saw Devon holding a screaming Regina with a dead Terra at their feet.
Mac pulled on you and when you didn’t move he tried again harder pulling you almost off your feet. Looking up at him in fear. “For fuck sake” He sighed. Picking up a rock at his feet. He bashed you around the head with it. Everything went black instantly.
When you woke you could hear him pacing nearby, Whispering angrily into a small phone.
“I’ll fuckin take care of it!....Don’t I always!......Fuck sake! You clean up your other fucking sons mess next time, I ain’t cleaning up after Devon no more!” He hung the phone up, throwing it onto a well lit table next to him.
It was then he noticed you were awake. You could see the anger rolling through him in waves. Pulling at your arms you realised they were restrained above your head. Raising your eyes you saw the hook and rope binding you there. Tugging at it as hard as you could. You heard him laugh.
“Ya aint getting outta that. What you wanted to run from me again...Stupid cunt”
“Where am i?” you asked, steadying your voice as much as you could.
“In my cave...Go on scream little bitch no one will hear you!” He pounced on you sitting on your chest with that gleeful look in his eyes again. Pulling the knife from his belt still covered in Tom’s blood.
Everything was coming back to you now, Samir, Tom & Regina all dead. But what about Devon & Regina? Didn’t he just say Devon’s name?
“Where are Devon and Regina? Are they here?” He scoffed, An indignant smile on his face.
“Baby brother? He’s probably balls deep in his little plaything by now. That was the plan. I got to take all you guys out and he got to claim her. Thought you would of been a good cunt to keep around too but you just had to run” Putting the knife to your throat.
“I’m going to fuck you bloody bitch, Make you beg for me to kill you” Running the knife down from your neck to your cleavage pressing just hard enough to cut but not too deep, The bulge in his overalls becoming more pronounced as he watched the blood following the knife.
Letting out a pained gasp you met his eyes. Keeping your stare hard trying not to show the fear that had started bubbling within you. Leaving the knife propped between your breasts his hand snaked inside his overalls pulling out his impressive length. The blood from earlier dried on there now.
“Suck it clean Y/N” He pushed it to your lips, When they didn’t open he grabbed your chin hard. You felt it click with the pressure. “Open it now, Or this” He picked up the knife “will be going in there instead."
Dropping your mouth open you let him slide inside. Balling his hands in your hair you felt the knife slide across your scalp. He thrust until his full length was in your mouth choking slightly as he slipped into your throat.
You thought it would taste worse than it did considering it had been at least a day since he had taken your virginity, Yours and his juices dried and covering him.
Having never given a blow job before you were all teeth. As he pulled backwards he hissed at your teeth dragging on him. “Fucking bite me and ill bite you back bitch!”
Trying to hide your teeth behind your lips you wrapped them tighter around him sucking and running your tongue down the underside as he pulled out fully. Once only the tip remained in your mouth you sucked harder, Swirling your tongue around it, When the first drop of pre-cum landed on your tongue you moaned wildly. Struggling to push your face forward. Wanting to feel him back in your throat again.
“Fuck. Are you enjoying this? Sick bitch” Slamming back into your throat again, The moan was more intense now you could feel the muscles in your throat vibrating around him. Taking the knife and cutting your bonds.
Your arms dropped to the sides exhausted. Pulling you to your knees by your hair he stood in front of you letting the overalls drop off him completely. Not wasting any time You moved forward bracing your hands on his thighs.
Taking him fully back into his mouth now, Feeling the courage rise back in your chest you looked up into his eyes. Wrapping one hand around the base of him and started bobbing as fast as you could.
“Fffuccckkkk!” He groaned. Hands back in your hair guiding you down onto him.
It didn’t take long for his cock to start twitching. Forcing you off him he threw you back down onto the filthy stained mattress. Knife back in hand he started at the top, Pushing the knife between your breasts again facing outwards this time, He cut your shirt and bra from you before moving to your shorts shredding them too.
He laughed, Moving to the pocket in his overalls “Still missing these?” He waved your underwear in front of you, He brought them to his nose for a moment before hanging them over his cock tugging at himself with them.
Not able to stop the groan coming when you saw him bring them back to his nose. Your core tightening at the sight of him almost naked fucking your panties.
“Mac...Please…” You begged just like the first time. “Please what Y/N?” He grinned knowingly at you.
“Fuck me please Mac...I need you…” You moaned breathily.
“You want this huh?” He dropped your panties to the floor and removed his shirt.
Your eyes wide, Mouth hanging open when you got your first sight of him fully naked. “Holy fuck!”
“Nothing Holy happening in here Y/N this the devils work” He winked. Grabbing both of your feet he flipped you onto your stomach. Using your hips now he pulled your ass into the air and thrusting into you in the same movement.
A scream ripping from your throat as he stretched you wide again. He didn’t take a moment to let you get used to it like he did last time. Just pounded away.
“Look at you! You’re dripping for me you fucked up girl, And So fucking tight still. You won’t be by the time i'm fucking through with you” He growled Your walls clenched at his words. Making him hiss at the extra pressure around his cock. Smacking your ass as hard as he could. You screamed again at the initial pain, Once his hand had left you the heat from the hit turned into instant pleasure making you gush more for him. With how wet you had now become it was easier for him to jackhammer into you at incredible speeds.
“You like that do ya, Filthy whore” He smacked you again on the other side. The pain this time makes you moan. “More” You begged.
“Fuck….Always wanting more, I’ll give you more bitch” He pulled you up by your hair so your back was flush against his chest. Pulling your head to the side he bit down hard on your pulse point. You felt the blood again rolling down your chest.
Gasping you saw stars as the pressure in your heat started to unravel for him.
Moaning loudly for him, When he released you, You fell face first back into the mattress as he gripped your hips bucking harder.
“Fuck...Mac...Mmmm” Your walls started clamp again as you felt the dam inside you burst.
“That’s it Y/N Cum for this cock bitch” He wrapped one hand around your throat tight.
Screaming into the mattress. “Mac...OH FUCK MAC!” He followed straight after, Pulsing into you, your walls gripping tighter to him dragging every drop of his hot cream deep into you.
Your legs giving in now, He collapsed on top of you pushing you into the mattress. Groaning in your ear.
“Maybe i won’t kill you. You keep this up and I’ll be keeping you around Y/N” He got off you slowly.
Redressing and throwing a spare overall at you.
“Get dressed we got shit to do”
When you had pulled the zipper up he led you out and back to his van. You looked between him and the open desert.
Gripping your arm. “You run, Not just now but ever fucking run from me again. I’ll gut you just like that spineless piece of shit. Ya understand?”
Nodding “Mac...Where else would i ever want to be, Your just like me... Fucked up...I need you” Leaning over you gave him a deep kiss. Thrusting you back against the hood of the car he took you again.
You knew now what kind of evil he was now, Although you had to give it to him that he treated you a lot better than Devon treated Regina. He trusted you enough to walk around without him instead of keeping you tied to the bed, Eventually even trusting you enough to help him with work.
His thirst for blood never ceased, He always needed to kill but stopped raping when he had you at home to come back to. Even with everything he had done everything you knew he was capable of doing you fell hard for him. All of it was worth it to be Mac’s Girl

Her Beauty And The Moonlight
Pairing: Stella x reader
Request: Stella gets jealous of the reader and blooms friendship causing her to tell the reader of her feelings towards her. Anonymous
A/N I have a thing for meetings on rooftops.
“You’re already drinking?” Stella asks and you can’t help but roll your eyes. She’s always giving Riven grief and tonight of all nights you all deserve to let loose.
“Leave him be, Stella. Tonight is for having a little bit of fun,” you laugh but quiet down as you look over at Sky. You fear you may have been too insensitive considering everything he’s going through right now but he doesn’t even seem to notice.
“I’m not saying we can’t have fun, I was just making conversation.” Riven lifts the flask once more smirking at Stella as he does. You give her shoulder a gentle squeeze to keep her from annoying Riven more. He’s not that bad yet but he might just turn into a real asshole if provoked.
“It’s a good thing you’re cute because you, my dear, are a terrible liar.” Her cheeks flush red and you feel your heart swell.
“I have to go help Bloom get ready but I’ll see you at the party?” you ask grabbing your bag from the bed. You notice Stella’s face fall slightly but in a matter of seconds she covers it up with a smile.
“Sure. We can’t have Bloom waiting.” You furrow your brows but don’t comment on it. She’s been upset with Bloom ever since she arrived and the only reason you can think of is that she’s upset with how well Bloom and Sky are getting along. Except you thought she was finally over Sky.
“Right. See you.” Walking into the suite, you find all the girls in the bathroom with Terra freaking out. Bloom spots you and edges out of the little bathroom to greet you.
“I see I came at the right time,” you laugh hugging her briefly. Your friendship has blossomed quickly and it’s taken you by surprise. Normally, you don’t make friends easily - a curse that comes with being a specialist. You see monsters and dangers hidden everywhere, even in people. But Bloom is different somehow. You and her just click and it’s nice having someone other than the boys to talk to. Of course, there’s Stella but it’s difficult speaking to Stella when it’s Stella you need to talk about.
“We’re just making sure Terra looks her best for the party,” Bloom smiles at the same time as Terra turns to you.
“I look good, right?” She seems nervous for the party and while you haven’t got a clue why she’s so anxious about tonight you’re all for being a hype woman.
“You look stunning. You’ll knock them dead.” A breath of relief leaves everyone’s lips and you look to Bloom surprised. Why are everyone walking on eggshells around here?
“She wants to impress Dane,” Bloom whispers in your ear and suddenly, it all makes sense. You don’t have to heart to tell Terra that Dane only has eyes for one person at the moment and sadly, it isn’t her. You just hope she’ll be careful.
“We should probably get going if you still want to go together? I promised Stella I’d be there around ten.” Bloom nods giving Terra one last hug before leaving with you. The party is fun but Bloom leaves you for Sky at some point and after that you don’t feel the need to stay. You don’t drink and you don’t smoke and at this stage in the party everyone is doing either one or both of those things. You’re just about to head out when Stella stops you.
“Where’s your little sidekick?” She’s stumbling over the words and in all the time you’ve known her this is the first time you’ve ever found her unattractive. Drunkenness does not suit the Princess of Solaria.
“Are you talking about Bloom? Come on, Stella. She’s my friend,” you say trying to figure out if you can sneak around her. You’ll definitely move faster than she can right now.
“Yeah, yeah. I’ve heard the story before. She’s just my friend. I don’t care for her like that. Blah blah. You’ll be in love with her in a month.”
“Is that what this is? You think I have feelings for Bloom?” Even if you did, why would it be problem for Stella. Is this her being drunk or is she truly bothered by it? It’s hard to tell right now.
“It’s sad really. She likes Sky and you like her. But who likes you?” It’s a low blow and Stella knows that but right now she doesn’t care. You clench your jaw to keep from biting back at her. It’ll do no good right now.
“I think you’re done,” you say grabbing the drink from her hand and throwing it away. You did not plan on having to be a babysitter tonight but you’re not about to leave her alone when she’s in this state. She needs water and to sleep it off.
“Come with me.” You grab her arm and drags her with you. She trips over her feet several times but finally you’re back at your room.
“I don’t want to sleep here,” she mumbles trying to get free from your grasp. Finally, she’s starting to get sleepy rather than the toxic mood she had at the party.
“Tough luck. Get in,” you order signalling to the bed. She complains the whole time but crawls under the covers all the same. You won’t be sleeping here tonight, it would feel wrong. You just had to make sure she was safe and sound before leaving.
“I hate you and Bloom together,” she mumbles and while you’re pretty sure she won’t be remembering this tomorrow you just have to know.
“Why?”
“Because it’s wrong. It should be me.” You drop the hoodie you’d just grabbed from the closet from pure shock. When you turn around to face her, you find that she’s already asleep. You tell yourself that she’s just drunk and probably doesn’t mean it like that but hope has taken root in your heart now. Silently, you exit the room locking the door before heading outside. The cold air hits you like a slap across the face but you persist anyway. You need to clear your mind and against your own better judgement, you head for the forest. It’s stupid and reckless but you have to get away from everything. If she genuinely does like you, you’ll be happier than a kid on Christmas Eve. But if she doesn’t, this might just break your heart. You’d accepted having to love her from a distance and just be thankful for a chance to be in her life but now that there is an actual chance of having what you’ve always wanted? You’re not sure you’ll be able to go back. You get all the way to the shed with no interruption and decide that Earth sounds pretty good right now. You don’t return to Alfea until the following night heading straight for the roof. There’s something so calming about watching the moon travel across the sky.
“I thought I saw you return,” Stella says carefully climbing out onto the roof.
“Hey,” you say keeping your voice neutral.
“I think I might have said some things last night that I shouldn’t have,” she starts but you shush her. If she’s going to take it back, you want just a moment more feeling hopeful.
“I know you have feelings for Sky. It’s fine,” you say as you feel the wind blow out the candle of hope she had ignited in you.
“I don’t have feelings for Sky, I have feelings for you. You’re the one with feelings for someone else,” Stella admits and you want to kiss her and slap her at the same time. Is she actually so oblivious that she hasn’t realised that you’re head over heels in love with her?
“I have feelings for you. It’s always been you.” Moonlight bathes the two of you in its soft light and you swear she’s never looked more beautiful than right now. The moment could not be more cliché than this but with Stella you don’t mind. Hesitant you reach out and intertwine your fingers with hers and she awards you with a smile.
“So, we have feelings for each other? What are we going to do about that?” Stella asks voice shaking slightly.
“How about this?” You lean in and kiss her softly.
“Yeah, I like that.” She kisses you once more creating a fire inside of you. It feels so right being with her. You sneak your arm around her and she leans her head on your shoulder. You watch the sunrise together and the sun proves you wrong. Sunlight is way better than moonlight.

Their Aching Firsts.
I still have no excuse for my obsession with them. Not sure how I feel about this particular story, but I wanted to post something for the start of Rivusa week for the hell of it. It’s about 7k words (I apparently can’t stop writing them once I start and their works end up being endless). Oops.
Fair warning, there is a umm *spicy* scene near the end there. I don’t usually write those and I tried to keep it as vague as I could, but I thought I’d mention it anyways. Other than that, enjoy and let me know what you think!
The first times they kissed, it was fueled by anger- he grabbed, she pulled, they crashed.
The first time they talked about it, it wasn't so much a conversation of words as it was one of looks. His eyes said "I want you and it terrifies me." Her eyes said "I think I want you, too. And I think I'm finally ready to admit that."
The first time Musa realized her new favorite jacket was once his, she stares at herself in the mirror for over an hour. She misses lunch with the gang and Riven comes knocking at her door and opens it to find her standing in front of that mirror in a state of awe. She's bathed in black leather, sleeves reaching the tips of her fingertips.
"You ok?" Arms wrap around her waist as she toys with the hem of the jacket. She looks at him through the mirror and smiles.
"I just want you to know I'm never giving this back."
He huffs a laugh as he lets his head fall to her hair, breathing her in. Lavender and something sweet that he's never been able to pinpoint. "Not even if this falls apart?"
She whirls around to face him. "I don't intend on letting that happen." Her hands are on the collar of his shirt, eyes blazing with stubbornness. He knows then that her words are a promise, a commitment and not just a comment in passing.
"I don't know, Muse. You still have time to regret all this. Regret the ruin of your reputation. What will people say?" His words are teasing, but she can see right through them. She senses his vulnerability, his apprehension.
"There are a lot of things I regret in life- yelling at my mother when I was fourteen because I didn't want to clean my room, being a bit of a bitch to my suitemates at the start of the year, hiding instead of fighting because I was too scared to see what my powers could really do. The regrets are endless. But, you, Riven, are not one of them."
He frowns, blinks away the swarm of feelings within him. "Yeah?"
She bunches her hands on his collar and pulls him down to her mouth. "Yeah."
"And what if I'm the one to end this?"
"And do what? Date some other girl for the hell of it?"
"Maybe, " he grins. "I hear I'm hot on the market now that I'm on the good side." She pulls him all the way down then, kisses him hard.
"Give it a try. Whoever she is, she won't last more than a day. And she'll defiantly never have you. Not really. I have you right where I want you, Riven. You're mine and you know it." She blazes a fire in him with her words.
"Oh yeah? And how would you know that?"
"You're here, aren't you?" She's all sass as she cocks an eyebrow at his question. "And, plus, it's kinda hard to lie to an empath."
And then she's kissing him again. This time with so much passion that he can't make sense of the world around him any longer. She pulls away only to tell him, "And I bet she'll never get that reaction out of you."
"No. No, she won't."
________________________________________________________________
The first time he calls her his girlfriend, it's not exactly in the situation she had imagined.
"Girls, I need to tell you something." Musa's voice wavers slightly as it rises above the noise that is their friends' laughs and chatter.
They're on the roof of Alfea, clustered among one another on the edges of old, shabby stones. The sky above them is dark and heavy. Stars wink at students from behind perfect clouds, ones that Musa remembers seeing in old cartoon movies that she used to watch with her parents when she was younger. From up here, the rest of Alfea seems like their whole world, its students miniature figures in a dollhouse. It's a perfect night, just as it should be. Rosalind is gone, out of the school and although that's not good enough, it's something. And Headmistress Dowling is alive and back in charge of the magical boarding school, where she belongs. From her perch up here, she can make out the headmistress' perfectly done hair as she leans back and laughs at something Silva is saying. She sees Professor Harvey heading towards their table, scolding students along the way to back away from the school's boarders. She's surprised that they haven't tried to stop all the drinking that going on. It seems that even the professors have had enough of the fighting, so much so that they're no longer focusing on the minute details of teenage life. Plus, she suspects that when they called for a party to celebrate the revival of Dowling and their taking back the school, they had fully expected the drinking. In fact, Musa had even seen Silva sneaking a few drinks to the teacher's table, but she'd never tell him that.
She can still hear Terra's squeal when Dowling had announced the party. And she can feel the toll of the heels Stella had insisted she wear on her feet. It has brought everyone so much joy, this little piece of heaven that they're being allowed, and she's been so very glad to just bask in it. After months of walking around with her headphones constantly on, trying desperately and failing to block the thoughts of despair, gloom, and pain, she welcomed the change. It had taken a lot out of her, but she had even worked up the nerve to leave her headphones behind for the party. The girls had been surprised at first, but then Bloom had stepped forward, wound their arms together, and led her outside the suite. She's been getting weird looks from them all night, little side glances with small smiles and questioning eyes, asking her if she was okay or if she needed to head out for a bit, take a breather. She'd returned them all with reassuring smiles of her own, letting them know that she was fine. And she was fine, but probably not for the reason they thought. Yes, the students around her were happy and she didn’t have much negativity to deal with from them right now, and yes her powers were getting better. But the reason she was doing so well had to do nothing with the students around them or her ability to control her magic and everything to do with the specialist across from her.
Riven and her had been a bit of a dichotomy since the start of her second semester at Alfea. They were paired together for combat classes from the very beginning of Rosalind's reign at Alfea. He'd flirted, as he did with everything that had a pulse and walked his way, and she had shut it down. Odd how that had only encouraged his behavior. Odder how she'd eventually come to appreciate it.
It was a slow transition, their thing. She had been resistant to accept she liked someone so very opposite to her last boyfriend, hesitant to give herself to that natural disaster that seemed to be Riven. Honestly, it seemed like a loss for a long time. She'd lay in bed some nights, staring at her ceiling, listening to Terra's slow breaths as she slept, and just think about the fact that just a few months ago (God, it boggled her mind that it was only a few months ago… where did time go? And how did they get here, in a school run by a once presumed dead war leader and a woman that seemed to exude death from her presence alone?) she had been perfectly happy with Sam and the silence that he brought. Sure, they had eventually called it quits once she had realized she couldn't live in silence forever and he realized she needed to learn to shield herself from harm. It had been tough, but they were friends. And she had been okay being single again. Truly, she had. So how she'd come to crave noise- his noise, loud and obnoxious emotions that sent her body tingling and her mind reeling- she doesn't know. But it had happened and once she's finally just accepted it, the ball was in his court. Too bad for her though, because just as hesitant as she was, Riven was ten times more resistant to the pull that existed between the two of them. Musa remembers all the nights they'd sneak out and he'd teach her new moves with a staff and sometimes he'd let her use his swords, teasing her as she struggled under their weight. She'd head back to her suite before the sun came up, always frustrated because couldn't he see?! Couldn't he tell? Why else would she show up every single night without fail? Why else would she stick around when the training turned to teasing and taunting turned to conversations in hushed tones? Long story short, it took him being under mind control and her breaking it for him to just finally, finally kiss her. And from then on, it had been secret meetings in different corners of the school, in their rooms when no one else was around, and anywhere else they could find some privacy.
She's itching to cross the space that separates them currently and slip her arms under his jacket, an action that she'd first done on instinct but which had quickly become a habit once she had realized the effect it had on him. She's been eyeing him the whole night, fully aware of his gaze on her. There's a reason she hadn't argued with Stella when she'd been handed the lavender slip of a dress that she currently wore. She'd even managed to forgive the light fairy for the strappy silver heels she had practically forced into Musa's feet when she caught Riven staring up and down her bare legs.
"Musa? What is it? Are you ok?"
Bloom's worried tone pulls her back to reality and she forces herself to face away from Riven and toward the girls. She'd avoided this conversation for so long, but it had to come out at some point tonight and it had to happened before one of the girls found them in some shady corner with their clothes half off.
"Oh, no I'm fine! It's not that." Now, how to approach what it actually was?
Aisha's confused tone follows her reply, "Well, then, what is it?"
"Um, it's kind of a little complicated…" Musa's voice trails off and she has to physically stop herself from turning back to Riven to see if he's ok with this, with what she's about to say.
"Musa you're freaking me out a little here," Stella's eyes narrow at Musa's fidgeting her hands. Huh, she hadn't even noticed herself playing with the hem of her dress.
"Oh no! Did you actually kill that poor guy that tried to hit on you?" Terra sounds worried as Musa just groans at her words.
"Ughhh. Terra, we said we wouldn't talk about that."
"What guy?" Riven's question comes at the same moment as her whine, except his is louder and much more aggressive. All heads turn to him, and Musa curses the jealousy that she feels coursing through his veins right now. Damn it, couldn't he just keep it in long enough so she could explain to her suitemates what the hell was going on between them? His eyes are all rage and warning as he stares Terra down. And for some reason, she's all worked up at his gaze and doesn't know what to do with herself. She really shouldn't be so attracted to this side of him.
"What's it matter to you?" Aisha questions, eyebrow raising in his direction.
"It just does."
"Really, Riven? The middle school comeback? Classic."
"Stay out of it, Aisha. I wasn't talking to you."
They're bickering back and forth, and Musa can sense both their patience straining. This is not how she was hoping this would go. Finally, she steps between them, one hand on Aisha's shoulder and the other on Riven's chest. "Ok, that's enough."
Aisha glares his way one more time but steps back, Riven does not. Instead, he turns to Musa and asks her, "What guy, Musa?"
"It doesn't matter, Riven."
"It does to me."
"Well, it shouldn't. It was just some drunk dude with a bad haircut. That's it." She's trying to reassure him, to let him know that this thing they have going on isn't just something she's going to drop the first chance she gets for any guy that makes eyes her way. She knows that's one of his big insecurities. He has it in his head that he's not good enough to deserve this, something that isn't completely fucked up from the very beginning.
They're trading glances, a secret conversation of their own happening between them.
"No!"
All heads snap toward Bloom. The second she turns around, Musa knows that her redheaded roommate has figured it out. Bloom is grinning at the two of them, practically bouncing on her heels as she grabs onto Sky's arm and tugs on it. "Did you know about this?! Why didn't you tell me?!"
Sky (bless his soul) looks at his girlfriend with confusion evident in his face, "Know what?"
Except it's Stella that answers, "They're dating."
And then mayhem ensues and Musa suddenly wishes she had thought this through because she's feeling so much from so many people right now and she's not quite sure how to handle it. She tries to hide the wince that forms on her face as she tries to answer all the questions her friends are practically screaming her way, but Riven must have noticed it because he reaches for her hand and pulls her out of the circle the girls have formed around her and closer to him.
"Alight, that's enough." It's the rasp in his voice that sends her spiraling every time he speaks, and she's putty in his hands. It's pathetic, she should have more self-control than this. "Yes, we're dating. Yes, she's my girlfriend. And, Aisha, no I did not pay her or threaten her into it. Gods above!" He takes a sweep of the room, gesturing to all their friends with a hand as if to say 'you're all very welcome.'
"Any other questions?" No one speaks up. Not that Musa would have heard any of them because good gods, did she hear him right? Did he just say what she thinks he said? Is she his… girlfriend? They'd avoided so many labels for so long that it had completely slipped her mind to actually name this thing between then by the time that they had finally become something substantial. And she's been fine with that deal, with not having to name their relationship, but hearing him call her his girlfriend has send her body trembling, fire coursing through her veins and butterflies bursting in her stomach.
And then he's pulling her away, down the stairs that led them up to the roof and between hallways that blend into one another as her mind focuses on the way his hand grips hers and the lust (his? hers?) that seems to be engulfing her whole being.
She lets him lead her into his room, onto his bed, and just as he leans down to kiss her, she moves down and places a kiss on his neck instead. Looking up at him, she tests out the word that's taken over her brain since it left his lips, "Girlfriend?"
"Fuck. Is that not what this is? I, I don't know- I kind of figured- I don't know. Shit, sorry-" If she wasn't so very in love with the idea of being his girlfriend, his something (just his), she would have let his ramble continue. She didn't get to see this often, a flustered Riven, and it was a sight she found quite adorable. But, alas, she had other plans for tonight.
She bends her neck upward, uses her toes to push herself up the bed, and kisses him ever so lightly on the lips. Just enough so that he stops talking. A feather's whisper of a kiss, against which she purrs "That is exactly what this is if that's what you want it to be."
His eyes are black with want when he closes them and his hand comes up to trace the edges of her jaw. His breathing speeds up as he leans his forehead against hers, and that's how she knows he's trying to collect his thoughts, watching his words as he often does when he's scared he's about to make the wrong move, say the wrong thing. She swears she's going to get him to stop doing that around her, because she wants his thoughts, every single one of them, as raw as they are. She doesn't want the filtered version. And she can feel them, mingling into the background as his insecurity takes over. Her hands find their way to his jaw and now they're holding each other, "Tell me."
He opens his eyes, opens his mouth to tell her, just as she knew he would. He'd never deny her anything and she's learned that in the short time that they've been together. He'd collect the stars and fashion them into a necklace she could wear around her neck if she asked for the universe. He'd start and end a war if she so much as suggested it. He'd give her his soul, she thinks. All she needs to do is ask, and he breaks for her. Crack by crack. Splinter by splinter. Until he's cleaved wide open and she sees all of him.
"I do, want that. I want you." His voice is gruff, guttural. "What about you? What do you want?"
God, how does he still not get it?!
"You." A whisper, and then a kiss.
_______________________________________________________________
The first time he makes her cry, it's not because of something he said. It's because of something he did.
It had started like any other day- breakfast, classes, social gatherings at the end of the afternoon. Musa and Terra had just left botany lessons and were heading towards the specialists training grounds to meet up with Sky and Riven before they all went to grab dinner together. It had been all fun and games, Terra and her grumbling about how ravished they were and laughing along at each other's comments. But Musa had sensed the uneasiness that radiated from the training grounds the second they had rounded the corner of Alfea's large lawns. Silva was especially on edge, and the fact that he had all the upperclassmen and the best of the specialists lined up as he walked back and forth between them shouting orders could not be a good sign. And with an insane mastermind on the loose, Musa had feared the worst as anyone else would. She'd taken off running, and Terra had followed without any questions, trusting her instincts.
She only caught glimpses of Silva's orders. "… Five burned ones… Two upperclassmen faries out there already… We need to leave now- I'm going to need ten of you out ASAP. Five more will guard the school grounds… Any volunteers?"
Her heart stopped when in her peripheral vision, she saw Sky and Riven's hands go up. This would be the third one this month that they had volunteered for, and the last time they left the school grounds Riven came back with a broken foot that he's still limping along on. The word left her mouth before she could think about it, "No!"
He turned to her, surprised to find her standing among the specialists. "Musa?"
She can't be bothered to greet him, not right now, not when he's practically signing up for his own death. So, instead, she stares him straight in the eye and says it again. "No."
But Riven is as stubborn as she is, and she knows he's been itching to prove himself again, to make up for what he did under the control of Rosalind just a short while ago. His words crush her soul, "I volunteer for the outside team." He's talking to Silva, who's eyeing the two of them with an intrigued look on his face. He nods curtly at Riven's words. But Riven is looking at her, his jaw set and tilted upward with determination.
"Alright, Sky and Riven, you'll lead the charge. Get your weapons. We leave in five minute. Go!" And then he and Sky are running toward their weapons bags, Musa and Terra hot on their tracks.
She catches up to him just as he's strapping on his swords. Her hand comes to pull at his wrist, motioning for him to face her.
"Are you fucking kidding me right now?" He won't look at her, won't meet her eyes. "Riven, I'm talking to you! You can't just volunteer yourself up for everything that could kill you! What the fuck is wrong with you?! Whatever you're trying to prove, stop it!"
He's reaching for his fighting boots, switching into them. Whether he's just not listening or if he just doesn't care, she can't tell. She wants to kill him. She wants to kiss him.
"Please," she can't believe she's begging. "Please, Riven. Your foot. You can't-"
"I'm doing it, Musa." She sees fury, internalizes it before her insides form it into something tangible and she can see it, feel it. It's red and blinding and raging.
"I'm asking you not to." He won't say no to her, he hasn't done it yet. She asks and he cracks for her right? Right?
Wrong.
"LET'S GO, SQUADRON 1!" She barely registers what Silva's command means until Riven is standing up.
"I'm sorry, Musa." And she knows he means it, because when his hands fall to her shoulders, quick and rushed, they're firm. He leans down to kiss her goodbye or as a form of apologizing, she's not sure, but she turns her head away from him and he ends up kissing the space between her cheek and jawline. If he won't look at her, then she won't look at him. And if he won't listen to her, then she won't give him the satisfaction of her approval. It's petty, she know that. She senses his emotions deflate at her actions, the feeling of rejection cutting into his heart like a shard of glass ripping through flesh. But she's seen this movie before, she knows how this story ends. Too many specialists have left the school's walls wounded and eager to pick a fight, only to come back on the brink of death or even worse, they haven't come back at all. And the idea of him becoming one of those statistics hurts more for her than her rejection will ever hurt him.
She doesn't turn to watch him leave, but she hears his boots beating against the pavement as he rushes to catch up with Sky… and then silence.
She's so numb by now. Numb to death, to feeling, to crying. She doesn't cry. Not when Terra comes to hug her from behind. Not when they're back in the suite and Bloom is practically sizzling with anger at the fact that they didn't think to bring her along on the mission and that Sky is being sent on yet another mission. Not when it's midnight and Dowling informs that the specialists made it back safely.
She doesn't go down to greet them when the other girls rush out the door. Terra lingers in the doorway.
"You sure you don’t want to come?"
"I'm good." She's staring outside the huge window of their living room, refusing to look down at the ground and try to make out if someone is missing in the mass of specialists standing in the courtyard.
"Musa-" She feels pity and worry coming from Terra, and she doesn't want to deal with it right now. She just wants to be numb for a little while longer.
"I said, I'm good."
Once Terra is gone, she turns away from the window and goes to sit by one of the couches. She counts the floorboards by the main doorway of the Winx suite. One, two, three, four, five, six…
She counts them three times over before the door finally barges open, it's hinges creaking from the immense force of the push just enacted upon it.
Riven's eyes frantically search the room before they finally fall on her. He walks towards her, limps actually. (She knew his foot wasn't healed, no matter how much he insisted it was.) He has blood splattered on his right side. His or someone else's, who knows? And when he finally reaches her, and falls to his knees in front of her so that they're eye level with one another, she finally cries.
He reaches for her. She pushed him off. "Fuck you, Riven. Really, fuck you."
"I'm sorry. Muse, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. I-"
"Why don't you ever listen? You keep walking into wars as if they're welcoming parties. Do you want to die?! Do you have a death wish? What the fuck is wrong with you?!" She's being mean, unfair. She doesn't care. If asking won't work, maybe screaming will. And she's exhausted. Exhausted of worrying about him every time he leaves. Exhausted of wishing he would listen. Exhausted of fearing he's the one that didn't make it back, because it's almost been him so many times by now.
"I had to Musa." His voice is soft, odd in comparison to the loud tone he usually takes when they argue about this topic.
"You always have to! You don't have to prove anything Riven. And you most certainly don’t have to die for no fucking reason!"
"You don't get it-"
"So explain it to me!" He sighs deeply, and closes his eyes. "No, Riven. Explain it. What don't I get?"
He finally opens his eyes, throws a string of colorful swears at the ceiling before moving his gaze back to her. "It's not just proving something. It's that if I go and… if I go, then one less specialist has to go. And that's one less person with people that care about them having to go. And that's one less tragic death, and then a whole lot less people hurt. If I go… who cares, you know? And, honestly, shouldn't it be me? A taste of my own medicine and all that. After all the shit I helped Rosalind do." She senses his bitterness, feels his anger and destitute.
He's an idiot.
"You're an idiot, you know that?"
"And you're beautiful," he quips back. She watches that smirk that she's come to love make its way onto his face.
"Flattery won't get you very far in life, Riv." Except, maybe it will. Because somehow and for some reason she's here, and she's crying over him.
It's like he can read her mind, not the other way around, "I think it's gotten me pretty far as of right now. I mean, you're here." The look he gives her has her twitching in her seat and she has to remind herself that she still has more to say to him. She can't just let him off the hook that easily. He leans up to kiss her, and she places her hands on his chest, gently pushing him away.
"I care."
"What?" He's confused by her words.
"I care. If you go, and something happens. I care." She feels the surprise bloom from within him, and then a sense of overwhelming tenderness takes up his mind, and hers along with it. Her hands reach for him, " Come here."
This time, he obeys her. And as she kisses him, he cracks for her. Splinters for her. Lets her see him while he kisses her as if he's kissing her for the first time ever, ravaged and hungry for her. She sees it all- all of him falling into her and consequentially falling into place in her mind, in her heart. His insecurities, his fears, and his wishes. She doesn't shy away from him, but kisses him harder. His thoughts are exactly what she thought they were from the very beginning- a natural disaster. But she doesn't fear falling into them anymore, and in fact she thinks she likes them. She thinks she likes the way his mind works- ten emotions at one time battling to win out over one another. And when he pulls away, she likes the way his green eyes look at her like she's the whole world and the way his hands hold her tight enough for her to know that he doesn't think she's fragile but with enough care that she feels like she is all that he owns.
"Don't you ever," he's panting as he moves to place kisses along her jaw and at her collarbone, above her shoulders, anywhere the collar of her shirt will allow him. "Don't you ever pull away from me again."
She knows he's referring to the other afternoon, when he had left for the mission and she had closed off. "Why? Did I hurt your fragile ego?"
She's teasing, he's not. His hands are in her shirt and moving up, up, up until the offending piece of clothing is off of her. He's eager to kiss down her body, hands roaming the planes and curves that he must have memorized by now. He's kissing, kissing, kissing. Kissing away her tears, kissing right above her beating heart, kissing along her waistline. Frantic, needy, and-
Oh.
Oh. She thinks she's in love.
________________________________________________________________
The first time they slow down, she feels as though she has seen heaven.
Riven's lips on her lips, steady and firm yet gentle, as his hands lay splayed over her bare sides and his thumbs dig softly into the dips of her hipbones. One of her legs is tangled in the sheets around them and her other is hiked up above his hips, her heel digging into his spine. He moves inside of her, and when she feels her hips meet his, she slides her hands over his shoulders and lets her nails graze his back. He watches her below him, eyes asking if she's ok, she smiles at him and says, "Just… stay. Don't move for a bit."
And he does, closing the small space between them to catch her bottom lip between his teeth and pull on it before he continues with his love bites down her neck, behind her ears, onto her chest. He's making his way as far down as he can in their current position, and she's melting into him and fuck, she wants him to keep going. But she also wants him to slow down because she's on cloud nine right now and from up here she can see the stars in his eyes, can catch them between the kisses of his lips. Her hands move from his back, leaving behind what she can only assume is a mass of fresh red marks. They move to his chin as she drags him back up to meet her on that very cloud and then they're eye-level with one another once more. She feels the want form within him, she always does, but it’s an odd thing to actually see it emulated in his eyes. And there's something else there too, something she can't quite place and doesn't dare to assume of. When his lips brush hers for the umpteenth time, slowly shaping her name between them, she feels herself sink farther into him, a feat she had previously deemed impossible.
And her lips part in a whimper because oh good god, how had they never done this before? They were always so rushed, pulling at each other's clothes and stumbling into bed, falling into one another in a tangled mess of limbs and lust. Perhaps it was the fact that they had kept it in for so long, refusing to admit they liked each other and once they were together, not wanting to tell others for fear of shattering whatever fragile state they were in. Their relationship had started with fighting fueled by longing, innuendos charged with so many suggestions, and eventually an aching want that Musa still couldn’t wrap her mind around. Really, she shouldn't be surprised at how touch hungry the two of them had been at the beginning of the relationship. (How touch hungry they still were.) But right here in this moment, as she opens her eyes, she regrets not slowing down and taking him all in sooner.
He is a sight to behold, with tiny and larger scrapes all over his body that somehow added to his physique instead of taking away from it. They are tens of thousands of stars and she traces them over and over, forming constellations with his imperfections. The pads of her fingers run over the features of his face, committing every bit of him to memory, and as they skim the tiny scar above his left eyebrow, the question slips from her lips before she can stop herself.
"When did you get this one?"
He pulls away from her, just slightly so that he can see her face, and his eyes are darker than she's ever seen them as he lazily responds with a "Hmm?"
She's high on want and adrenaline, but she vaguely wonders if this is something he might not want to talk about. Too late to back out now. Plus, she'd like to know. "This scar. Above your eyebrow. How did you get it?"
Riven stiffens at her answer. She can feel his insecurity downing upon him, clouded by the desire and the want that still course through his body but slowly easing its way to the forefront of the battle that is his mind.
"I have them too," Musa whispers as she braces herself against his chest and heaves her body upward, brushing her lips against that very scar in question.
She moves back down again, and pulls her left arm slowly away from under him. She turns her head slightly to her left shoulder, using her index finger to point to a sliver of skin that's more taught and whiter than the rest of her. "I got this one when I was twelve. Tried to climb a tree that was too high off the ground. Had to get six stiches. My mom freaked out."
His eyeline follows her movements, and he stares at her shoulder for a few minutes. His gaze has her squirming a little, suddenly aware that she's naked in front of a boy she's very much into and that she has just pointed out one of the many flaws on her body. But then his eyes flicker upwards and he leans down and kisses her scar, just as she had kissed his.
"You're fucking perfect, you know that right?" She could cry.
"If you're trying to get in my pants, hate to break it to you, but they're already off," she teases, her voice soft and a smile on her lips. How else was she meant to respond?
He chuckles at her words, his laugh causing her to catch her breath as it does each and every time she hears it. It's an occasion that has become more common since they got together but which is still far and few in between. The sound vibrates off his body onto hers and has her writhing under him.
"Love, I would never consider your lack of garments a disappointment." He circles his hips above her, and she groans at the pressure. "And I would most certainly never forget being the one to take them off you, especially when you insist on making those noises."
Her eyes are blown wide as she grabs onto his forearm at the side of her head, where his fingers are buried in her hair. Her chest heaves up and down, up and down, heart beating so fast she's certain its rhythms are all in her mind and that it's no longer there. She's fairly sure she lost it somewhere between meeting him and getting here, to this moment.
He stops his teasing, opting instead to arch down once more and kiss the scar on her shoulder. He kisses it over and over until she feels her heartbeat slow down and her breath return to a somewhat normal pacing.
She tugs on his locks, silently motioning for him to come back up. Up he comes, and she's glad that she's somehow convinced him to continue denying her nothing.
"Tell me."
He knows she's referring to his scar.
They're nose to nose, foreheads touching, brown eyes boring into green ones.
"About a year and a half ago. Right when things started to get messy in my life. Messier than usual, I mean. Back then I was a bit of a nerd, hung out in the greenhouse all the time-"
"Yeah, I've heard a few stories from Terra," she cuts him off, a smile playing on her lips at the idea of Riven hunched over a lab bench with pretty vines all around him. It's a sight she hopes to one day see with her own two eyes, a side of him she knows she's so very close to opening up.
"Yeah, well, I'm sure you know how much of a dick I was after I started distancing myself from them. Sky, he got real mad one day. We were in Specialism class, learning some new sword tricks. I said some shitty things and then he tried to play the Saint Sky card. I got mad, I fought dirty. Scraped his arm with the sword. He finally snapped at me, landed a good blow right above my eyebrow." He laughed a bitter laugh at the memory. "Nearly missed my eye, the wanker. He apologized for two months straight. Either way, we both ended up in the infirmary and I figured I couldn't get rid of him. He kept me around and I stayed, almost like when we were children and we fought over dumb shit like who was the taller. Only difference now is that his scar healed and mine stayed."
That last sentence was loaded with so much, and Musa wanted to ask more but she didn't want to push her luck. She smiled at him, nudging his nose with hers. "So you used to fight over who was taller? The mental image of a baby Sky and baby Riven getting angry over something like that is almost, dare I say, adorable?"
He scoffs. "We were not adorable! We were two very manly twelve-year-olds with very some very manly, very reasonable arguments."
"Mmm," she hums against his skin. "Is that what you two have to this day? Manly arguments?"
"Are we really bringing Sky into the conversation while we're in bed?" She laughs, a full on laugh that comes from within her because his words were not what she had expected. "If you must know, now we argue over who’s got the hotter girlfriend."
His eyes are all mischief when she shakes her head at him. "Glad to see you two have really grown up."
"And I'm glad that I got the hotter girlfriend, because I'm not sure how else you've managed to keep me completely turned on while bringing up my best friend in the middle of us fucking."
And then it's her turn to tease him, turning her head slightly to the side so that she can catch his earlobe between her teeth and whisper in his ear. "I'll make it up to you."
And then she's flipping them over so that she's on top and she feels his breath catch. She smirks down at him mischievously and then they're off again, finishing what they started. She makes sure to go slow, to feel every bit of him as she moves, catch every angle of him below her and store it in her mind for safekeeping.
And when it's over and he's lying on his stomach, back facing the ceiling, she moves herself on top of him once more. Only this time, she kisses every scar on his body, sometimes asking where and how he got them until he finally gets the hint and starts sharing their stories before she can even ask. There are so many of them, some tiny and some much more noticeable. All of them have stories. She vows to herself that she will one day know all of them. That she will be there to soothe the next scrape, the next trauma. With each one of her kisses, she can feel the natural disaster within him reach a rhythm, not quite silenced but at peace.
They don't sleep that night. Only once she's sure she's kissed every inch of his body does she finally worm her way back into his arms, but they're both wide awake at that point. His eyes watch her in the dark, hair loose and splayed around them like some sort of blanket. It had been in pigtails at one point in the night.
"What are you thinking about?" she asks.
"I…I just," words knot in his mouth. His eyebrows furrow at her in frustration as he tries to untangle and spell them out for her. "God, I love you."
Just for that, she kisses his body all over again. And again. And again.
________________________________________________________________
Their first times have been nothing short of unexpected. It's never how either of them imagined all these firsts would go. They're not soft and tender, though there are moments like that in-between, but neither had expected that. Their raging passions did not allow for it. But what they had expected was a lot more arguing, a lot more push and pull. Instead, they seemed to somehow fall right into each other- crash and burn style, no holding back.
Their firsts were painful lessons that needed to be learned. They were gnawing pains that needed to be had, throbbing emotions that had to be felt and delt with. They were stinging feelings, these firsts- stinging because they felt too much too soon and too fast and neither knew what to do with all of that expect for let it bubble until it exploded before them in an aching manner.
Their aching firsts.

All hail
Sophie, humming while brushing her hair: hmmm..
Jim, walks up behind her and covers her eyes: guess who..?
Sophie, playfully: oh gee I don't know, Lukas maybe?
Jim: oh please you already know who it is babe. *Uncovers her eyes*
Sophie: I know, I was only teasing *gives him a peck on the cheek*
Jim: I wanted to give you something that I bought.
Sophie: hm, what is it..?
Jim, pulls out a shell small jewels necklace with small jewels: tada!
Sophie: Jim it's lovely! Thank you..
Jim: I was in the market today and was thinking about a certain someone when I saw this beauty. I thought to myself, huh, who do I know is as beautiful as this necklace that I found.. and you know who said it was..?
Sophie, playfully: I can't seem to put my finger on it.. 🤔
Jim: It was you.
Sophie: oh Jim, you're so sweet.. *hugs him*
Jim, hugs her back: I know.
//The two lean in for a kiss until Lukas pops his head in, sharing a hug with the two.//
Lukas: YAY! Group hug!! What are you guys talking about??
Jim, displeased: oh, hey Lu, were just having an intimate moment.. but it's fine, its whatever.
Lukas: whoops! Sorry about that, didn't mean to ruin the moment. *Rubs the back of his neck*
Sophie, giggles: it's okay, maybe next time Jim *kisses his cheek softly*
Jim, blushes softly: thanks babe.
Lukas: anyway, came to tell you all, Silver and Elinor made breakfast.
Sophie: we'll be there in a while, just gotta finish up getting ready.
Lukas, nods: aight, see y'all later! *Leaves the room*
Jim: now that we're alone.. mind if I can get that kiss?
Sophie: okay you can.. *Gives him a peck on the cheek* now get out because I'm going to change.
Jim, shrugs: whatever you say babe! *Leaves the room*
//Jim walks into the dining area where everyone was sitting at the table. He sits next to Ollie. Ollie notices the lovey dovey look on Jim's face.//
Ollie: Something on your mind Jim?
Jim: huh? Oh it's nothing.. just thinking about how I'm the luckiest guy in the world.
Ollie: what did you win the lottery or somethin'?
Emma: more like the lottery of l o v e
Jim, playfully: pfft yeah right.. Just because I'm with the most beautiful, intelligent, kindest girl in the world doesn't mean- wait.. yeah you're definitely right.
Emma, giggles: remember to have me as a bridesmaid at your and Sophie's wedding ;) *goes to sit down next to Jim*
Jim: that won't be for a while..
Elinor, places a bowl of porridge in front of Jim: aw young love, a precious thing to cherish. Reminds me of when me and Silver were younger. Butterflies in our stomachs and completely all over each other.
Silver: you act as if we still don't do that now.
Elinor: oh I know.. were just not young anymore. *Kisses Silver on the cheek*
Silver: like that makes a difference *hugs her from behind*
Fisch, jokingly: you two love birds gonna join us to eat or make out in the middle of breakfast?
Elinor: heh, you're right. Let's sit down Silver.
//Just as they were about to seat themselves, a comet had scrapped by the chip. Creating a large hole on the side of the ship.//
Silver: oh you've got to be kidding me!
Cetus: huh.. maybe I shouldn't have parked here.. sorry Silver.
Silver, sighs: I don't blame ya lad. No one could've predicted this happenin..
Andrew: we should go to Montressor to get that fixed up. It isn't too far from here.
Silver: I just hope we'll be able to make it.
//Sophie had finally finished up changing. She heard the commotion and worried something bad happened. Sophie rushed towards Jim.//
Sophie: what's going on? Is everything ok?? Jim, are you okay???
Jim: Babe, I'm fine! We just had a "little" accident on the ship.
Sophie: Little??! It felt like we crashed into something!
Jim: ummm.. more like something crashed into us.
Sophie, sighs: okay, this is fine.. We're going to be okay right..?
Jim: of course we are! They're just going to stir the ship towards Montressor, they'll get it fixed then bata bing, bata boom! It'll be fixed up and it'll be like the damaged never happened.
Sophie: I sure hope they do.
//A few minutes went by and Cetus managed to stir the ship towards a docking area. After having a conversation with a repairman, a majority of the crew left the ship. Deciding to explore or purchase since they were on Montressor.
Sophie and Jim decided to take a walk. They held hands as the two looked around the many shops and stands.//
Jim: Do you want to get something to eat Sophie? You kinda missed breakfast back there.
Sophie: oh, um, sure!
Jim: what should we get?
Sophie: hmm, how about.. a smoothie! I just want something light and easy to carry around for now.
Jim: Okay! Let's go!
//The two got into a line at a smoothie stand. As they waited, something caught the eye of Sophie. A few feet from the couple was a group of people reading newspapers. They seemed panicked as they chatted about what was in the news. Interested, Sophie walked over to the newspapers.//
Sophie, picks up a newspaper: huh?
//On the front cover showed a cryptic image of a woman with black hair in a red and black dress. They were holding to what appeared to be a staff. Next to them was a green woman with pink hair. The image couldn't make out what she was supposed to be. Maybe like a plant?//
Sophie: says here that the proclaimed dead Queen Hatred and her henchman Veronica have been spotted inside of Amoretia.. huh? Never heard about this lady before.
???: HEY!
//Sophie turned around to see a guard standing a few inches away from her.//
Guard #1: You! You're coming with me!
Sophie: uh.. no..?
Guard #1: you have to. They've been looking for you.
Sophie:
Sophie: who?
Guard #1: The high counsel of Terra. Now come with me! *Grabs Sophie by her shoulder*
Sophie, tries to jerk herself out of his grip: get your hands off me!
//Jim, who was about to purchase the smoothies, quickly turned his head when hearing Sophie yell. He ran over to her and the guard.//
Jim: you heard what she said! Let go of her!
Guard #1: can't. The high counsel told me not to.
Jim: high counsel??
Cetus: what is going on around here?
//The others had arrived when seeing Sophie and Jim in danger.//
Guard #1: don't I recognize you..?
Cetus: No, I don't believe we've met.
Guard: Wait, I do know you! You're that cursed cephalopid that stole from Terra's merchant ships!
Cetus:
Cetus: it was someone else.
Guard: I'm not letting you go this time! You and your entire entourage are coming with me!
Silver, smugly: oh really? You and what ar-
//A bunch of other soldiers pop out of nowhere.//
Silver:
Silver: I didn't even get to finish my sentence and you already knew what I was going to say.
//In the next scene, everyone except for Sophie were in the dungeon of the Terran castle.//
Valentino: why am I here?? I'm not a criminal like the rest of you!
Andrew: I'm pretty sure coercing with theives and pirates still counts as a crime.
Valentino: what?! I don't know that!
Elinor, sighs: hopefully our trials are fair and they actually give us, I don't know, maybe a few months behind bars? Then again chances of that are very low.
Valentino: you mean we'll be sent to the gallows??? But I still have some unfinished designs to do! Oh this is horrible!
Silver: oh shut it for once Val!
//In private meeting room of the castle, the counselmen were standing in front of Sophie.//
Sophie; who are you people? Why'd you put my family and boyfriend in jail???
Counselman #1: they were wanted criminals that deserved to be locked up.
Sophie: let them go! I demand it!
Counselman #1: you are so much better than them, why do you affiliate yourself with such hooligans?
Sophie: because I love them!
Counselman #2: Miss Sophie, do you know about your royal heritage?
Sophie: royal.. heritage..?
Counselman#2: hm, well you're father was the brother of Queen Illysa. Making him a-
Sophie: prince..?
Counselman #1: correct
Sophie: So technically I'm a.. princess..?
Counselman #2: also correct.
Sophie: I- I-.. why..?
Counselman #1: we need your help Miss Sophie.
Sophie: I don't understand.
Counselman #1: Queen Illysa has been turned to stone and we need your help guidance!
Counselman #2: yes certainly! We need your guidance on how to defeat Hatred!
Counselman #3: what?? I thought we agreed that we'd make peace with her??
Sophie: I-
Counselman #2: no, we need her to wage against Hatred! Why would we make peace treaty with that lunatic??
Sophie: um-
Counselman #3: because Hatred is going to kill us all once she gets her army back! Listening to her demands is the way to go!
Sophie: can I-
Counselman #1: enough out of the both of you! We need her guidance!
Counselman #2: yes with war!
Counselman #3: no, peace!
Counselman #2: war!
Counselman #3: peace!
Counselman #2: WAR!
Counselman #3: PEACE!
Counselman #2: WAR!
Counselman #3: PEACE!
Sophie: F*CKING SHUT UP!!!
//All counselman look at her with a shocked looks on their faces.//
Sophie: please... As your queen.. princess.. whatever.. can you let my family go?
Counselman #1: but they're-
Sophie: I KNOW WHAT I SAID!
Counselman #1: of course your majesty.
//Down in the dungeon, everyone seemed to accept the fact that they were going to get hanged. Except for Valentino.//
Valentino: I can't, I can't! This isn't happening!
Silver: Just say you're prayers. You'll feel less scared.
Valentino: there's so many things I haven't done! Like making a gown for a princess or skydiving or um, uh- I CAN'T DIE THIS SOON!
Guard, unlocks the door and opens it: congratulations, you've all been let go by the queen.
Cetus: the queen? Huh.., she most be feeling extra generous today.
Valentino: YES! FREEDOM!
Guard: not so fast horn head, she wants to see you all.
Cetus: nevermind. We're doomed.
Valentino: ಥ_ಥ
//All of them went to a private meeting room. They opened the doors to see Sophie and the other counselmen.//
Jim: Sophie! *Tries to run towards her*
Counselman #2, stops Jim: now what do you think you're doing???
Jim: huh?
Counselman #2: what? You're not going to bow to your queen? Show some respect!
Jim, looks at Sophie; Sophie..?
Sophie, bows her head: it's true.
//Jim looked very shocked. He tried to take in this new information but he had so many questions. Did she now she was a queen? Why couldn't she tell him?? Or why did they need her now??//
Counselman #2: didn't you here me boy? Bow before-
Sophie: that is unnecessary. Now, please leave us.
Counselman #1: what about Hatred? What will we do and prepare for?
Sophie: I'll figure that out later. I want to talk with my family first.
//The counselman #1 nodded as he and the other counselmen left the room. As soon as they left, Jim went up to Sophie.//
Jim: what the heck is going on??
Sophie: I don't know! They want me to handle a situation with a lady named Hatred?? I don't even know who that is! I don't know if I should go to war or peace but either one seems like a bad option!
Jim: babe calm down! You can think about it later...
Sophie, whimpering: then all of a sudden I'm made a queen and I found out my dad was the brother to the queen and I- I- *falls to her knees* all of this info is too much for me right now..
Jim, gets on his knees: It's gonna be okay, I promise. We'll figure this out together!
Emma: Jim's right! We've got your back Sophie!
Victor: absolutely! If you need some advice just tell us!
Elinor: you know this Hatred lady kinda sounds familiar..
Cetus: you know something about her Elli?
Elinor: From what I learned, she was just a myth at the time. A queen that lived five hundred years ago and almost had full control of the etherium. She was hell-bent on getting rid of all love in the etherium which is why she wanted to take over the etherium in the first place-
Jeremiah: wait, wait.. you're telling me this queen wanted to get rid of all love? What kinda lunatic would do that!?
Emma: almost like it's similar to trying to achieve class equality by killing rich people.
Jeremiah: yeah, I know right?
Emma, looks at him confused: oookkaay..
Elinor: but anyway, this Hatred is a big deal. Legend says she never lost a battle or war, created her own henchman, and was able to conquer multiple planets.
Cetus: Well, Hatred has clearly never met us before. We'll take her down! She'll be so easy to defeat because I mean come on, there's a ton of us and one of her. It's not like she has an army.
Elinor: She has an army.
Cetus:
Cetus: as long as we believe in ourselves we'll win!
Silver: yeah, that believing we'll take us right to the graveyard..
Valentino: I think we should let Terra's army handle it and maybe come up with a battle strategy?
Elinor: Probably. Even if we make peace with that looney bin, she'll ask for the keys to the Terran empire. Then she'll try to conquer the rest of the etherium.
Sophie: wait.. we have to fight her.
Everyone: WHAT?!
Sophie: Using an army won't be enough to take her down. If they couldn't do it in the past, then we can't make the same mistake. We have to make a plan to get rid of her by any means!
Jim: Sophie, are you sure about this?
Sophie: positive.
Elinor: Hm, maybe if we try ambushing her we can take her by surprise and get the job done! That's how they "killed" her in the past! But I'm sure we'll manage to get the job done.
Cetus: sounds like a plan! I'm in!
Andrew: me too!
Jeremiah: let's kill this tyrant!
Emma: heck yeah!
Fisch: I'll die trying if it means getting the job done!
Ollie: Hatred won't even know what hit her!
Lukas: She's going down!
Nomura: Destroying Hatred will be a walk in the park.
Lyka: Question, after we kill her can I take her jewels?
Elinor: Yes Lyka.
Lyka: LETS GO!!!!
Jim: I'll do it if Sophie's up for it!
Sophie: Honey I'm always down to kick some ass.
Valentino: um, I'll just stay here...
Silver, sighs: Alright let's go!
Elinor: I can't wait to beat someone up! It's been so long!
Silver: um.. yer not going lass.
Elinor:
Elinor: what?
Silver: I can't risk you getting hurt. We have cubs for goodness sake. You need to stay here and watch over them while we're gone. You understand lass?
Elinor: okay.. I understand.
Silver: I'm only doing this because I love you and our cubs..
Elinor:
Elinor, smiles softly: then go get em' you big softie! *Kisses Silver*
//Silver kisses her back. They others waited around awkwardly waiting for them to finish.//
Cetus, coughs fakely: kinda running on a schedule here guys.
Elinor, pulls back and awkwardly rubs the back of her neck; oh yeah right, sorry.
Silver: be safe darlin'
Elinor: and you be careful.
//And with that, the heros set off on another ship that the Terran empire owned. They sailed off.//
Silver: where exactly are we going Sophie?
Sophie: a planet called Amoretia. Its gonna be a while so we should plan our strategy on how to take down Hatred.
Silver: aye your highness!
//They sailed for the planet Amoretia. With Sophie contemplating if this was a good idea or not. Well it was too late to back out now. Time to go take down this fool...
Yet as they sailed, in an office on another planet, was a mysterious person sitting at their desk.//
???, Reading a newspaper: huh, says here old Queenie finally found a way to come back. At last, I was starting to think she'd never show up.
//Another person walked into the room, standing at the doorway.//
???: You wished to see me sir..?
???: I did. I want you too set sail for our ship. We're going to Amoretia.
???: Um, can I ask why sir?
???: Hatred is back and I taste an opportunity.
???: If you don't mind me asking, of what kind sir?
???: An opportunity to finally get all the riches I desire. As well as boost my position of power. And that hot-headed queen is going to help me get there. Wether she likes it or not.
???: Right. I'll go prepare the ship sir.
//the unknown person walks out of the room. The first unknown person placed the newspaper down on their desk.//
???: This etherium is going to become mine..
//Their snake like tongue sizzled out as their slit eyes lit up the room.//

Character: Commander Fox x Mouse (reader), Padme Amidala, Bail Organa
Warnings: idiots in love, mild pining
Summary: The one where Fox knows what to expect but is still incensed when it happens. Bail Organa is a good bro to everyone. Padme Amidala is rocking motherhood and is not so subtle in her matchmaking attempt.
A/N: I apologized in advance but your gonna see that I'm working to make things better I promise! As always thanks to my lovelies @skdubbs @crimson-dxwn and @thelastbattlecry for being my sounding boards/betas/listening ears.
-----------------
Naboo was beautiful. Not in the way that a rare gem or a fancy painting was, where one appreciated their grandeur because that was expected. Where they were looked at clinically and picked apart for sport.
No, Naboo was beautiful in a way that made Mouse's heart clench. The overwhelming majesty of the lakes and waterfalls bringing a tear to her eyes the first time she’d laid eyes on them. She’d never seen so much water, so much green. She could scarcely believe she wasn’t experiencing a fever dream in the claustrophobic bacta tank back on Coruscant. Even now, after two months, the view from the Naberrie’s Lake home (more like a palace than any home Mouse has ever imagined) gave her pause.
It was, in short, heaven.
The summer months had left the temperature near to perfect and the waters had receded from the great pastoral valleys, leaving them open for exploration, picnics and gathering wildflowers.
Mouse found herself sleeping most nights with the door to the small balcony off her room open, the not so far-off sound of running water lulling her to sleep. The nightmares had not gone, a twisted version of a reality she’d lived, but she rarely woke up screaming anymore. Instead she came to with a racing heart and thin sheen of sweat decorating her skin. She was haunted by the voice of Palpatine, the flash of light as Fox fires on her, the image of him being lifted and strangled by the force wielding Anakin Skywalker. It still happens like clockwork, the dreams. She just no longer has it in her to scream.
The senator had noticed the deep circles under her eyes quickly. She was a good woman, Padmé, and while Mouse was unsure whether she’d call her a friend just yet she did know she enjoyed speaking with her. Upto the birth of the babies, they’d taken daily walks, short sojourns along the estate’s lands. It was often the time Padmé had her husband speaking with his healer. Mouse was eternally grateful, as she wasn’t comfortable in the Jedi’s presence. To have him walking with them through the millaflower fields would have soured the experience. She liked to think Padmé realized such things without her saying it. When she did speak of her husband, there was a carefulness to her words, as if she had to think each one out to paint him in his best light. Mouse hasn’t spoken about Fox to anyone, and she wonders if she did would she feel the need to tread carefully? She doesn’t think she would.
Mouse's relationship with Padmé changes after the birth of the babies a short two months after their arrival.
Luke and Leia join the galaxy on a stiflingly hot night during high summer. Heat lightning flashes and grumbles in the distance as the doctor works to bring the children safely into the world. They hadn’t planned for two. Anakin paced the room, like an agitated Nexu, checking in with his wife after each pass. Staff and visitors were at a minimum, so Mouse volunteered to help as she could. It was still a state of the art set-up, one fit for a former queen, senator, and much loved daughter of Naboo. There was little to be done but sit at the Senator’s side and blot her head with a cool cloth while she worked, grunting and pushing through the labor like tackling an obstacle in her way on the senate floor.
Leia comes first, a squalling indignant thing already full of life and the need to tell everyone about it. The nurse attending offers her to Anakin while Padmé continues to labor. Mouse sees the fear in his eyes as he shakes his head, his eyes already trailing back to his wife. Mouse holds the bundle of blankets and moves out of the way, gesturing for the young Jedi to take her place near his wife.
“She needs you.” She says softly, fighting back the urge to tremble in his presence.
“Ani?” Padmé’s voice rings out, for the first time uncertain. That’s all Skywalker needs to go to her side.
Mouse watches as he takes her hand in his, kisses her fingers, tells her she’s doing great, that she’ll be fine. It feels voyeuristic watching them so she focuses on the little girl in her arms, who stares up with bright blue eyes. Mouse melts.
Luke is the wildcard, the surprise no one knew to expect. He’d been hiding behind his sister until just days ago when her last scan had shown an extra heartbeat and an extra head. Now he was malpositioned and the doctor has to manually correct it. Padmé makes an awful, wounded noise but pushes nonetheless when she’s finally given the clear to. The boy makes his entrance as a bolt of lightning cuts through the sky and the lights flicker. He’s quiet, and smaller than his minutes-older sister. There’s a tense period where he makes no sound at all, and a collective breath is held until he begins to make a soft plaintive noise before he’s laid against his mother’s chest. Mouse offers the wrapped baby to the nurse and she soon joins her brother. Mouse has to turn away as Anakin leans in and kisses his wife.
When she sleeps that night there is no nightmare. She dreams of her own swollen belly, a baby kicking away while Fox’s strong arms wrap around her middle and hold her protectively. She can feel his full lips as they press against her temple. She can feel the rumble of his voice.
The beginning of our family, cyar’ika.
She wakes with a choked sob and doesn’t sleep the rest of the night.
—-
“Run it by me again, Chancellor.”
It felt like they’d been in the black forever. The jump to the small outer rim was no milk run. Fox glances out the window again as they break atmo and the black of space turns to the bright blue of Naboo’s sky. He was ready to be off the ship. He’d never tell his brothers, would rather die than admit it, but he hated hyperspace travel. It wasn’t just the jump in or the fall out of it either. It was the whole damn thing. It was unnatural. He was meant to have his feet on terra and that was all there was to it.
The itinerary had them making a quick stop in Theed to take on supplies, then another bit of travel - this time in the blue instead of the black - to reach their destination, the Lake District.
“Commander, relax. This is a pleasure cruise,” Bail enthuses smoothly, “nothing to worry about.”
“Then why me and not one of the other boys? Thire would have been fine for this.”
Bail rolls his eyes. “Thire is a stick in the mud and I much prefer your company and conversation.” Bail explains “I’m going to spend a couple days doting on my new godchildren and discussing a few matters with their lovely Senator mother, some of which you may have strong opinions about that deserve being heard.”
The last bit grabs Fox’s attention. “I don’t remember that being mentioned.”
“Oh I didn’t mention that some of your brothers will be meeting us for an impromptu - and off the books - meeting on clone personhood?”
Fox purses his lips undercover of his bucket. “No you hadn’t sir.”
Fox had learned quickly that Bail Organa’s style of governance was worlds different from the previous chancellors. The secrets Sidious kept had been dangerous to the republic, his vode and the Jedi in particular while Bail’s all seemed fairly benign and were really only used to surprise and throw Fox from a dour mood.
“Well it seems I must have forgotten to put it on the official itinerary for our visit.” The older man’s eyes sparkle with mischief.
“It seems you did, sir. I suppose it’s already been planned. It would be a shame to lose out on such an important meeting.”
Personhood. That was one of those dreams all clones shared but few ever mentioned. It seemed silly that it should even be an issue to begin with. If none survived the war it was a useless conversation to have, wasn't it? Now, with Sidious no longer pulling his dark strings, the Seppies were beginning to fall apart. They’d already fallen on Felucia and Utapau. General Grievous was dead and Count Dooku had gone to ground, but he couldn’t stay hidden forever. Maybe the idea of life after war wasn’t such a dream. It was tangibly within reach.
“Who’s joining us for this little shindig?”
Bail smirks again, “I’ve left the guest list to the Marshall Commander’s discretion.”
Fox can’t hide the excitement in his voice, “Cody?” It has been ages since he’d seen his ori’vod. Before the second battle of Geonosis and well before Mouse had -
Mouse.
Because that was a wound that refused to heal. Kriff - it wouldn’t even scab over! It merely festered and hurt like nothing else Fox had ever felt. Whoever had said out of sight, out of mind needed to keep their head on a swivel because Fox was pretty sure if he ever saw them he’d break their jaw.
Mouse was still a guest of the Senator’s. He wasn’t proud to say he’d been keeping tabs, but it was one of the only things that kept his anxiety at bay when it came to her. Unlike with Fives, the bottle didn’t seem to do it. The pair of times he’d taken to finding out what was in the bottom of a bottle of Corellian whiskey he’d found nothing but nightmares and guilt.
Bail gives him a smile as the ship comes in for a landing, the capital of Theed rising up around them, always warm and inviting.
Fox vows to try not to think of seeing Mouse. He breaks it in five minutes.
——
To say Padmé Amidala’s wardrobe was expansive was an understatement. Like saying Coruscant was home to a lot of people.
What had once been an entire guest suite had been turned into a makeshift dressing room and closet for the former queen. Padmé was unapologetic in regards to the sheer amount of clothing she possessed, explaining that it had been expected she never wear the same outfit twice and that, honestly, she just really liked clothes.
It made her more human in Mouse’s eyes, less like the self-possessed politician and more like the young woman she was underneath all the finery.
Mouse supports little Leia’s head as she dozes in the sling across her chest while Padmé does the same, bouncing slightly from side to side on her toes to calm a fussy Luke.
“How about this one?” Padmé questions, pointing to an ornate, layered gown. It reminds Mouse of a confection, fluffy and frosted with layers upon layers of petal pink fabric.
“A bit much for a dinner party? You think?”
Mouse had never had much in the way of fine things, had never really needed them, but when Padmé mentioned that the new Chancellor would be coming and she would really like her to come to the dinner she’d had Mouse help plan, well she really couldn’t say no. Now it was important to find something to wear. It seemed since Padmé was not quite ready to leave the concealing gowns of her early pregnancy behind, Mouse bore the burden of her need to dress and accessorize.
Padmé hums quietly to Luke as he begins to drift off. “You’re probably right. Maybe something a little smaller, more cocktail appropriate?”
Mouse isn’t entirely sure what that entails but she nods in agreement. She’s discovered that even a month and a half postpartum Padmé was still a force to be reckoned with when she got on something. Motherhood hadn’t softened her drive - if anything, it had brought it to new heights as she made plans and strived to make the galaxy a place where her children could grow and thrive.
They’d been spending more time together, Mouse becoming a makeshift mother’s helper while Padmé balanced new motherhood and keeping up with her senatorial duties. Anakin, Padmé had confided, was slow to take to fatherhood and while he seemed to love the twins, he became frustrated easily. He’d increased his visits with the healer, but Padmé wondered if part of it was the loss of Jedi Order. General Kenobi had visited a handful of times since they’d arrived, but Padmé worried it wasn’t the same.
She didn’t mention Sidious but when she spoke of betrayal and upheaval Mouse knew what she spoke of.
She felt bad thinking it, but Mouse wasn’t unhappy with the children’s father’s absence. His nearness to her still left her uncomfortable and remembering the way his eyes had glowed amber and the hate that had been etched into his features as he’d used the force to-
“Remind me again why this is important?” she asks as the new mother begins pulling out more dresses. Mouse works Leia from the sling and cradles her near while she ambles over to her nearby bassinet. Leia was the simpler of the two babies while Luke seemed to require a bit more coddling from his mother. She wondered in the personality differences between the two. She places a thin blanket over the sleeping babe before going back to the pile of dresses that had been laid out.
She holds a deep emerald green dress in front of her and Padme's brows knit together assessingly. “Next,” she chirps as Mouse grabs a blue dress that shimmers in the light flooding through the room's large windows. “Maybe pile. Definitely. Tonight is important because I said it’s important,” Padmé says digging back in the closet. “Obi and Cody arrived earlier this morning.” She glances one more time before sitting on a nearby settee. Luke is awake and beginning to fuss and Padmé quickly works open the front of her dress to allow the hungry infant to nurse. “Have you met General Secura?”
Mouse shakes her head ‘no.’ She’d heard of the twi’lek though and wonders if she might ask her some questions she had. She’d begun sponsoring little Me’kar and wondered what it would take to keep a child of another species in touch with her own heritage if she were to be adopted by a human. Not that she’d been thinking about adoption-
“You’ll like her. Her Commander Bly will be with her. They’re very… close.”
Mouse can read between the lines. Close. Close like she and Fox had been maybe? More so? She’d heard battle forged bonds that were unbreakable, maybe it also could form a love connection that could withstand the burdens of both war and the Jedi’s vows.
She and Fox hadn’t had anything so deep.
She tries the lie on herself again. It still doesn’t sit true. Maybe another hundred times and she’d start believing it.
“The Chancellor will be here in a few hours-“ As Padmé continues to speak, Mouse digs through the pile. A red dress, slick and satin smooth catches her eyes. The skirt feels cool under her fingers. Padmé stops mid sentence as Mouse works it from the pile. The neck is scooped shallow from shoulder to shoulder across where her collar bone would be and a thin golden chain connects the apex of the straps and offers to drape and dip low between her shoulder blades. It would do little to hide the scars on her left arm and shoulder, but Mouse wasn’t self conscious of them the way most would think. Though she could never speak of their true nature she didn't once regret them.
“- seven hells... I forgot about that one. It’s perfect,” Padmé enthuses, again reminding Mouse of truly how close in age they actually were. “Please, pick that one?” Luke grumbles as his mother’s bouncing interrupts his meal. “Hush sweetling,” she soothes.
“It is very pretty.” Mouse hums quietly as she holds the dress in front of her and turns in front of the mirror.
“Some earrings, a pendant maybe… oh a tiara!”
“Earrings will be fine I think.” Mouse can feel her cheeks heating up. Padmé chuckles softly. “What’s so funny?”
“I just realized that color matches the Coruscant Guard colors perfectly. I wonder what Commander Fox will think of it?”
Mouse feels the color drain from her face. Her voice comes out as an ungainly wheeze, “Fox?”
“Yeah, have you met?” Padmé is giving her a wondering look. “He’s not as bad as people make him out to be.”
“Oh- uh- we’ve met.”
“Really?”
There’s a twinkle in the senator’s eye, something that clues Mouse into the fact that the woman in front of her just maybe wasn’t as clueless to the state of her relationship with the Guard Commander as she let on.
“It’ll be nice to catch up or something won’t it?”
Mouse nods. Or something.
——
Fox feels a little cheated. All the times he’d accompanied Senator Amidala to her home world not once had she brought him to the Lake District. The Chancellor looks at home, unswayed by the beauty as he marches through the open halls with confidence. Maybe it was because he was Alderaanian, Fox thinks. He’s never seen the Chancellor’s home but he’d heard its beauty was unrivaled. After taking a glance out the tall transparisteel window looking out directly at one of a half dozen waterfalls he’s sure that it can’t be true.
“Sir? Should we wait for an escort?” Fox asks as Bail takes a sharp turn down another hall.
“No worries, Commander. If I know Padmé she’ll have set up shop in her office. The day is still young and she’ll be hard at work.”
“Sir, she’s just had a baby- two babies. Surely she’ll be taking it easy.”
Bail barks out a very unchancellor like laugh before he levels his eyes at Fox. “If she’s not in her office, I’ll eat my boots for dinner.”
“Laces and all?” Fox can’t help the way the corner of his mouth draws up, though he tries to smother it. Bail raps the back of his knuckles twice across the armor of Fox’s chest before pointing one finger at his face, his own smile broad and for the world to see.
“See, I knew that stick wasn’t as far up your ass as everyone says.”
“Don’t go telling everyone. I’ve got a image to maintain.”
Bail’s bark of laughter echoes down the hall. “And this is why you’re here and not Thire.”
It was new and fascinating to see the Chancellor in this different light, more relaxed than he ever was on Coruscant with its many eyes and wagging tongues. Not for the first time since he’s begun working closely with the Alderaanian, Fox thinks that he truly does enjoy his company.
Fox adjusts his bucket under his arm, hesitates for a moment as to whether he should replace it or continue to carry it. He’s not sure of the proper protocol in this situation. It was one he’d never been prepped for back on Kamino. What was one to do when addressing a senator on maternity leave in her palatial lake house?
He decides to leave it off and immediately wishes he’d put it on as they push through large wooden doors into the senators office. Like everything else, it’s beauty is unimagined. Sumptuous wooden bookcases filled with flimsy tomes fill the shelves, natural light spills in from windows showing off a pristine late afternoon lake with the sun just beginning to set behind the waterfalls surrounding it.
All of that fails to capture his attention because there’s his Mouse swaying gently from side to side smiling down at a cooing baby. Her hair pulled back into a messy bun with tiny tendrils escaping, framing her face in fly-aways.
Karking Naboo could get sucked up by a black hole for all he cares. Mouse is the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen bathed in the warm glow of late afternoon sun spilling across the room.
She looks so relaxed, so natural cooing to the infant in her arms - until she looks up and catches him staring.
He doesn’t know what he was expecting but it wasn’t the look of surprise, her eyes thrown wide before cool indifference washes over her.
This wasn’t a holoromance. She wasn’t going to run into his arms and he wasn’t going to dip her low, kiss her passionately, and promise undying love. Not that he hadn’t thought it in that perfect split second moment of her inattention.
She holds the baby close, protectively as Bail moves to embrace Senator Amidala, herself holding an infant.
“Bail!” The young senator’s smile could light the senate halls for a standard rotation. “It’s so good to see you. I was just finishing up.” Fox pulls his eyes away from Mouse long enough to assess the amount of flimsy and datapads stacked across the senators desk. She was nowhere near done.
“And Commander Fox!”
He startles slightly as the petite force of nature insinuates herself in front of him.
“I’m so glad you could make it. Have you seen Cody yet? I know he was pleased when he heard you’d come.”
Fox shakes his head, his eyes drawing magnetically back to Mouse. He used to be able to read her like one of the flimsy books on the senators shelves but now? Now he doesn’t know what he’s seeing, a whole new language he has no experience translating .
“Commander” she offers after a moment, her voice tight but bright in a forced kind of way, “it’s good to see you. You look well.”
Fox swallows hard. “As do you. I hope your stay has been well?”
The infant in her arms turns and roots against the top of the plain dress she’s wearing and Mouse turns her attention away from him, mumbling some pleasantry dismissively. It feels like a slap in the face.
“I’ve got nothing for you sweet girl.” She hums to the baby who is beginning to make plaintive, angry noises, “Padmé I believe miss Leia is hungry again.”
The senator sighs quietly before moving to swap children. She looks at the two men in her presence. “You’ll have to excuse my children,” she jokes, “they don’t know the meaning of office hours yet.”
Bail gives a hearty laugh. “I’m shocked, with you as their mother.”
“They must get it from their Dad,” she offers cheekily, “Boundaries are not his strong point.” Fox watches as Mouse heads for the door with the other infant.
“I think I’ll go deposit this one in bed. Maybe he’ll get some sleep without his sister pestering him.”
Padmé nods as Mouse leaves and Fox fights the urge to follow after her. Like a child himself, he wants her attention. He runs a hand through his hair roughly as he watches the empty door frame willing her to come back. They could try again, start from scratch. He would put himself on his knees and beg for her forgiveness.
Something angry flares in his chest.
Commander Fox of the Coruscant Guard didn’t beg. No, Commander Fox was the man everyone looked to for leadership. He would not beg. He’d stand in front of her and dress her down like one of his petulant kits.
She didn’t get to just walk away from him, give him the cold shoulder. Did she not realize he sacrificed a bit of his soul just to send her here? That the wound it left became a little more infected each day?
No, she probably didn’t. She’d obviously moved on and he was the one that was left idling in the past.
——-
“Bail already knows his way around the estate, obviously.” Padmé laughs. The chancellor had excused himself a short while before and blatantly refused Fox when he’d attempted to follow after.
“I’m an old man,” he’d said though he was nowhere near the age Fox would seem old , “and I need a nap and a holo with my wife, neither of which I need your supervision for.”
That left Fox in the senator’s good company as she led him through various halls to the guest wing. Wonder that! A whole wing set aside for people who didn’t even live there. For a clone who’d spent the better part of his life bunking with dozens of brothers, the thought was beyond what he could comprehend.
Padmé readjusts the baby in her arms not for the first time as they talk.
“I could take the little biter for a few minutes if you’d like.” He offers not thinking she’ll take him up on the offer. Who would let a clone handle a baby that was damn near galactic royalty?
Apparently, Padmé Amidala.
“Oh that would be amazing!” She stops and turns toward him and before Fox really has a clear idea of what’s going on, he’s got an arm full of ik’aad.
Fox freezes for a moment and stares down at the little face staring back at him. Her eyes have a depth, he thinks, far beyond her few months. When he looks back to her mother, the senator is stretching her arms with a contented smile. Leia squirms in his grip.
“Well hello princess” he murmurs softly as he cradles her closer. She offers a gummy yawn in return and Fox is surprised he doesn’t melt into a puddle right there.
Padmé claps quietly. “Oh! You’re a natural!”
Fox gives her a lopsided smile. “She’s a baby, not a thermal detonator.”
When he glances up Fox sees just a flash, a far-off look in the senator's eyes. “You’d be surprised to know not everyone takes to it so easily. Maybe you’re just meant to be a father?”
“Padmé, you know that-“
“Screw the regulations,” she says with a steel to her voice he’s only heard a handful of times, “You’re not a droid. You're not a thing, and if it’s the last thing I do, the Republic will do right by the men we’ve made fight our war.”
Fox raises a brow. “You know, I was going to say it usually requires a partner to have a baby.”
Padmé’s face flushes a pretty shade of pink. “Well at least you know where I stand.”
“With all due respect, I’ve always known where you stood.”
The pair continue down the hall taking a sharp right before Padmé is pointing to a door.
“This one is yours,” she states as Fox begrudgingly passes Leia back to her mother. There was something incredibly soothing about holding the little girl and he misses that feeling the moment she’s gone.
Padmé points at other doors down the hall. “Commander Bly, General Secura, General Kenobi, Marshall Commander Cody…” she rattles off, pointing to a seperate room for each. She does a lousy job of biting back a smile as she points to the last door, conveniently across from his own. “Our little Mouse.”
Fox can’t help but shake his head. “I feel like I’m being set up.”
“You are,” Padmé agrees sagely.
“I regret to inform you, after earlier, I believe that ship has really and truly sailed, hit hyperspace even.”
Padmé gives him a skeptical look before peeking down at her daughter. “Men are the silliest creatures,” she educates the infant before glancing back up at Fox, “but not all of them are lost causes.”
Fox chuffs softly.
“I was once told that the Force controls everything around us,” Padmé says earnestly, “but as I’ve grown I’m not sure that’s true.”
He’ll bite. “Well what mystical force controls our destinies then?”
“Hope, Commander. All life,” she looks down at her daughter, her eyes shining when she looks back up, “is built on hope.”

Fandom: Dragon Age: Origins
Ship: F!Aeducan x Gorim
Warnings: None
Genre: Angst
WC: 1933
Blurb: After the ultimate betrayal, Terra Aeducan has been exiled to the deep roads. Through extraordinary circumstances, she fights her way to the surface and becomes Thedas’s last hope against the coming blight. However, during her journey she must deal with painful truths about her family, her life back in Orzammar, and what her future may be.
They had only just arrived in Denerim. Terra Aeducan, with Alistair, Morrigan, and an affectionate Mabari in tow, had come in search of Andraste’s ashes. The hunt for allies against the oncoming blight had hardly begun, yet they were all bone tired. It was the exhaustion that led her to believe that she was imagining things. That Gorim’s sweet, warm voice was only in her mind. Even so, the sound pulled her towards the center of town, like a chain wrapped around her middle was dragging her forwards.
“Are you alright?” Alistair asked, seeing the color had drained from her face.
“I just… I’m going to step away for a bit. I’ll meet you at the inn, yeah?”
Alistair nodded, though reluctantly. Alistair was tooth-rottingly sweet and Terra tried to summon the best smile she could to set him at ease and send him away. He was becoming a quick and dear friend to her, and she didn’t want him to see her in what seemed to be a lapse in sanity.
“Dwarven crafts!”
There it was again. Terra, her spine now stiff as stone, hurried away and through the bustling streets, following the voice. Dwarven crafts? It could be anyone though. Any number of low-born Orzammar men who left for the surface could be in town. It wasn’t uncommon, and neither was the accent. It probably wasn’t him, wouldn’t be him, couldn’t be him. She rounded the corner and in the square she saw him
Terra’s hands tremored. Words like “I missed you,” “I found you,” and “thank the fucking stone,” all caught in her throat. Her hands grasped at it desperately, trying to free them. Because there he was. Just a few yards away stood her best friend and the man she loved: Gorim.
She tried to call out his name, but only pitiful, strangled noises escaped her lips. But he saw her. His face – it was tanner now; it had finally seen the sun – lit up in shock, disbelief, joy. All the things she felt were reflected back to her. Her throat was still sealed shut, but her feet started moving. Suddenly she was running, running faster than she had ever run, straight into arms that opened wide at the sight of her. Solid, strong arms that knew the curve and the shape of her body so well. Arms that slid into their place so easily, it was like slipping on a pair of gloves. For the first time since she left Orzammar, her feet felt firmly planted on the ground. She was finally rooted to the earth the way she used to be, and the sky wasn’t threatening to swallow her whole anymore.
For a few blissful seconds, the Blight was far away, and Bhelen never betrayed her. With tearful eyes, Gorim studied her face with an intensity that felt like he was boring into her soul. He looked as if he were taking inventory of her features, ensuring that each one was accounted for and just as he remembered them. “I knew you would make it out. I never stopped believing,” he said softly. Suddenly his face changed, lighting up as if he were remembering something.
“I have something for you.” He bent down to a chest that lay under the table. After a few moments of rummaging, he produced a letter. “Before I left for the surface, King Endrin sent me with this. We both hoped against hope that I would find you up here.”
Terra’s heart, which was already pounding, somehow beat even harder at these words. “Father? How is he?” The thought of seeing her father again filled her with so much joy and longing she could hardly stand it. She felt like her heart was swelling so large it was pressing against her ribs.
“Oh, my lady…I’m so sorry,” Gorim said, in a voice so sad and soft it sent bolts of fear down Terra’s spine. But she knew what those words meant. The pressure in her chest deepened and sunk to reach down into her stomach too. She felt faint.
“If a man can die of a broken heart… King Endrin did.”
“But what happened to him?” She asked, trying to hold back the tears. Gorim hesitated, but Terra’s hard look of pain and determination gave him the permission he needed to part with the grisly details. “After Trian’s death-…no, murder, Endrin was stricken with too much grief and confusion to see that Bhelan had constructed it all. It didn’t take long for him to find his mind again, but by then it was already too late. You were already locked in the deep roads. That’s why it all happened so quickly. That bastard Bhelen knew he had to dispose of you before the shock of it all wore off.” Gorim looked at his feet and took a long, shaky breath before continuing. “It was like he just… wasted away. He couldn’t go on living, like he was a ghost.”
Terra squeezed his hand. She focused on that feeling; homed in on the way he callouses rubbed against the palm of her hand. It was the only tangible thing keeping her anchored to reality. Gorim looked at her for a reassurance that she wanted him to continue. She nodded grimly. She was sick to her stomach, but she had to know the whole story. It was her duty as a daughter and as an Aeducan.
“When he called me to him, just before I left… the room stank of decay. It was as if he had already been long dead. He was already a corpse, just waiting for his time to return to the stone. All he could talk about was you.” His other hand took hold of her shoulder, steadying her. She hadn’t even realized she was swaying. “Terra, he sent me with more than just a letter.”
Gorim fished in his pocket and took out a worn velvet purse. Among the coins glinted a chunk of golden metal. Terra blinked her tears away and saw that no, it wasn’t a nugget. It was the Aeducan signet ring. Trian’s ring.
He gently placed it in her hand and folded it into a fist.
“He loved you, Terra. That nug-fucker Bhelen, he’s not a real Aeducan. You’re the true last heir, and your father knew it. You deserve this, and no one else. He made that much clear.”
The ring felt heavy in her hand, like she held all of Orzammar in her palm. In a way, she supposed, she did. But she felt that she could bear it as long as Gorim held her other hand.
“I’m just so glad I found you. Thank the stone, thank the stone…” Terra drew herself closer to him, ready to step back into his embrace and find his lips. But a look she couldn’t quite decipher crossed his face, and he took a step back.
“My lady, there’s something else I should tell you. I’ve, well… I’ve found a life on the surface. A blacksmith’s daughter; we’re expecting our first. She’s… she’s lovely and…” Gorim trailed off, not knowing how to continue.
The world seemed to go still around her. Her heart, which had been thumping loudly in her ears just moments before, fell quiet. A few seconds passed, but they felt like centuries.
“I don’t understand…” Terra’s voice quivered, and she hated herself for it. “You said you’ve been waiting for me.”
Gorim’s face flushed red and he looked down at his feet. “I have been, of course. But… well…” Gorim stammered, his shoulders slumped. Terra thought that he looked almost like a scolded child caught stealing sweets before supper. She almost laughed at the absurdity of it. He had been in Denerim for how long? Two months now, maybe? And he still hasn’t come up with a good explanation as to how he tripped and fell into a smith’s girl, all while claiming to ‘know she had made it out’.
He mustered the courage to meet her gaze again and flushed an even deeper red. He had always been able to tell what she was thinking, as if her very mind was binded to his own. She could feel his shame radiating off of him like a sickness. He knew he had done wrong. He knew that as a knight, he had acted shamefully. And she knew it too. Some dark corner of her soul felt gratified in this, gleeful in his self-loathing. She felt the anger rising.
“So let me make sure I understand,” she began, her words already dripping in venom. “You know, or hoped, or believed or what have you, that I was alive on the surface. And you, as my second, sworn to serve and protect me until death, fucked me and whispered sweet nothings to me in Orzammar. But when you’re separated from me for two months – oh, less than that actually, since she’s already knocked up – you decided to live it up with the first surfacer you see?”
Gorim’s eyes filled with tears. “It wasn’t like that,” he said firmly, but she could hear the tremble in his voice.
“Then what was it like?”
“I missed you.”
“I missed you too, but I didn’t jump in bed with a surfacer. I searched for you Gorim.”
“My lady… We never could have been together. You know that.”
All of a sudden she understood, and the tears she had been holding back came slipping across her face. It didn’t matter what happened, or what he believed. Gorim was an outcast, a surfacer. Je was stripped of his caste his family name. But Terra? To him, she was still Lady Aeducan, and she always would be. Even if they had stayed in Orzammar, if Bhelen had never betrayed them, he would still think himself beneath her. He might have loved her perhaps, but he would have walked away eventually. He could never see himself as more than her second.
She realized she had been squeezing the signet ring in her hand. She relaxed her fist and saw her house crest bored into her palm like a brand. Gorim watched her as she first tried it on her ring finger and then settled with slipping it on her thumb. Trian’s hands had been bigger than hers.
Gorim reached out to comfort her, but drew back, unsure of himself. “My lady, if I had known you were alive…”
Terra glanced back up at him scornfully. “Either you did, or you didn’t.”
He reared back as if he had been struck, but he knew he deserved it. She saw no trace of resentment in his eyes. She looked at him for a hard moment and her anger fizzled out, leaving her with nothing but a cold hollow in her stomach and the crushing weight of her loneliness. Gorim’s cheeks were wet from silent tears.
“I hope I’ll have time to meet her soon,” Terra said.
“I’d like that. My door is always open to you.”
“I love you, Gorim. I hope you’re happy,” she confessed. Her heart gave one last weak tug at what had been between them.
“The same for you.”
She immediately recognized that he had not confirmed his happiness, and Gorim saw it in her face. Before he could say anything else, she turned away to rejoin her group.
Terra glanced up at the sky, vast and unending above her. Her family crest rested upon her finger and its weight, though heavy, was a comfort to her. She had a blight to end, and she didn’t need Gorim to do it.

Venqua Week:Music
“When you-gah! No, that’s not right. When- ugh! Come on Ventus, you can do this!” The boy said, frustratingly tuning a guitar. He had been at this for months now. It all started when Namine moved into the Land of Departure with him, Terra, and Aqua. The boy had stumbled upon her drawings and by extension, the arts itself. He was completely hooked. Outside of fighting, Ventus didn’t have much time to explore possible talents. He was determined to find a hobby he was good at! It took all of ten minutes of Namine teaching him about color theory for him to realize that maybe literal art wasn’t his calling.
That’s when Namine recommended music. Seemed like a good idea. He didn’t want to brag, but Ventus always thought he was a bit musically inclined. Between dancing and the ice cream beat machine, he thought learning an actual instrument would come easy. Wrong! It was critically difficult! Three months into learning guitar and his confidence was was fading like the golden sunset that washed over him as he sat at the edge of the trio’s stargazing spot. Ventus played a few more strings and sighed. It didn’t sound off. Honestly it never was. The problem was his nerves. Ventus was trying to be a perfectionist with the only song he’s been able to learn so far. All for a special someone, Aqua.
He had always had certain feelings for his friend, but expressing them was beyond impossible. Any time he tried to show her a cooler, more mature side of himself it never worked out. He’d either screw up really hard, or Aqua would do her pretty little giggle while patting his head like he was some sort of puppy. He was not a puppy darn it! Ventus wanted to at least be a cooler, older anime. Something like a fox or a leopard. Just once, he wanted to leave Aqua speechless. He thought a singing to her would be his best bet. His face face grew redder at the thought of her listening to the song in awe, her deep blue eyes captivated by his feelings.
“Geez, I’m so hopeless.” He said, covering his face. Ventus turned his head towards his master’s keyblade that rested peacefully just several feet away. He wondered if Master Eraqus had any hidden talents? No way keyblade wielding was his only gift. If Aqua’s fighting style was any indication, the old man was probably a bunch of fun on the dance floor. The thought of him doing even half the moves Aqua did was enough to make Ventus laugh lightly. Once again he strummed his guitar. “Oh master, you think I stand a chance?”
“Stand a chance at what?” A voice asked from behind. Ven’s face went bright red, then pale in a less than a second when he realized it was Aqua. She smiled her beautiful smile like she always did and held a crown of flowers in her hand.
“A-Aqua!?” He stammered, “W-What brings you up here....!?” He wanted to hit himself right now. The answer to that was quite literally in front of him.
“Changing out Master Eraqus’s flowers” she answered anyways. Aqua walked over to the memorial and did just that. The old ones weren’t dead yet, but their color was obviously starting to fade. Still, they looked rather pretty. So pretty in fact, Aqua took it upon herself to sat right next to ventus and hang it around neck. “Wow, I’m a little surprised it passed your hair so easily. I thought it would sit on top.” She teased, ruffling the wild dew.
“Hey! It’s not that spiky! Also my head would have to massive for it to sit on top!” He pouted. Why is always a head rub!? This time he was minding his own business and still wound up like this. “Do you have a thing with my hair or something? You’re always doing stuff like this.”
“Of course. You always pout and turn red. It’s cute.” She answered, watching him get redder. Aqua couldn’t help herself. Teasing Ven like this was just irresistible. “So, what is it that you were trying to stand a chance in? Maybe I can help?”
“What? Oh! Umm it was nothing! Just talking aloud is all.” Lying was not a strength Ventus had.
“Really?” Aqua said sarcastically. She reached over to the guitar in his arms and ran her fingers across the strings, making a subtle but pleasant sound from it. “Nothing to do with the acoustic currently in your hands?” She looked at the blue eyes that were inches away and avoiding contact. Aqua tilted her head, a bit confused by Ven’s shyness. “Ven, I’m not a mind reader. Tell me what’s up?”
“If you read minds then you know mine only has you in it.” He thought to himself. “I’m just having a little trouble with a song I wanna sing. I learned all the notes and everything, but I get anxious anytime it comes to playing the whole thing.”
“How come?”
“I’m...self conscious is all.” It wasn’t a lie but it was certainly vague. “Any time I think about singing it the way I intend to, I get worried if it sounds bad or if I look like an idiot.” Ven could feel his heart beating so loudly that he was afraid Aqua might here it. Here being this close was nothing new, yet it too much to deal with.m right now moved back a little by pretending to readjust how he was sitting.
Aqua could the boys hand fidget a little. He wasn’t kidding at all about feeling anxious. She had never seen him so flustered when it came to things like this. Aqua had caught him a few times over the past few months really putting an effort into learning when nobody was around. She had even secretly caught him sneaking off early in the morning to find a place to practice. Learning this song must’ve been really important. For Aqua, that only left one response to this.
“Can I hear it?”
Ven was going to have a heart attack. “What!?”
“I wanna hear it.” She repeated, “We’re often our own worst critics. If you only play with no one around then you might always think it needs improvement, so let me hear it. I’ll give my honest opinion!” She said, excited to listen.
“That’s the one thing that scares me!!!” Ventus could not believe this was happening. How was he supposed to explain to her that she couldn’t listen because he was doing it all for her!? She even gave a valid reason for helping! “Oh, no I uh- you don’t have to do all that! Hehe, I just-” he stopped when he saw Aqua move to sit on her knees. His crush sat patiently with her hands resting her hands on her lap, a heart stealing smile still on her face. Here she was. Here they were. Two people bathed in the golden light of a sunset. Warm air and breath stealing views anywhere you looked. A gentle breeze made Aqua run a finger across her face. All attention was on him. Well, no time like the present right? Ven stood no chance of resisting with a face like that.
He sat facing her, legs crossed. He new his face was still red and the sound of his beating heart hadn’t gotten any calmer. However, a comfort came from that with a mix of excitement. An honest truth about his feelings. He really had fallen for her and wanting nothing more to express his feelings with all of his heart.
“Aqua...can I ask a favor?” He somehow managed to say. “Can you...close you eyes while I sing to you?”
The request was surprising but understandable. This was more about sound then sight anyways. “Okay.” She closed her eyes in earnest. “Ready...” For some reason Aqua felt herself get a little embarrassed as well. She hoped it didn’t show on her face.
Ventus took the deepest breath he could. Mustering his resolve and composing himself, Ventus began to strum.
🎶When you walk away, you don't hear me say
"Please, oh baby, don't go."
Simple and clean
Is the way that you're making me feel tonight
It's hard to let it go....🎶
Yeah, Aqua could totally feel herself starting to blush. Ven was only a few lyrics in, but she couldn’t think of a time she heard a more stunning voice.
🎶You're giving me, too many things, lately
You're all I need, oh~
You smiled at me and said...
"Don't get me wrong, I love you
But does that mean I have to meet your father?"
When we are older, you'll understand what I meant when I said
"No, I don't think life is quite that simple"
When you walk away, you don't hear me say
"Please, oh baby, don't go."
Simple and clean
Is the way that you're making me feel tonight
It's hard to let it go🎶
Ventus felt his nerves melt away as he kept playing. His mind was too focused on the notes to worry. Too focused on the girl in front of him. He was starting to find his stride.
The daily things, Like this and that and what is what
That keep us all... busy are confusing me~
That's when you came to me and said
"Wish I could prove I love you but does that mean I have to walk on water?"
When we are older, you'll understand it's enough when I say so
And maybe some things are that simple.
When-🎶
His serenade was unexpectedly cut short. Aqua had reached for his hand and stopped him from playing. Ven’s heart skipped a beat. For a moment, nothing but dread filled his thoughts. Did she hate it? Why else would he stop him midway. He would’ve asked, but Ventus couldn’t find the words. Not out of fear, but because of the look on Aqua’s face. Her calm demeanor was entirely gone. A the warmest smile Ven has ever laid eyes on was on her face with rose red cheeks. “A-Aqua...?” He finally spoke.
“S...sorry.” She spoke, “it’s just...well....” finding the words was a little difficult. Aqua couldn’t help but laugh at her own skittishness. “You confessing to me like this might be a little more than my heart can handle.” There, she said it. She watched a Ven’s eyes start getting bigger and bigger while his face tried rivaling hers in terms of red.
“Y...You knew I-”
“Of course.” Aqua giggled, “I watch you just as much as you watch me you know? Because...I like you...too. A lot.”
Ventus must’ve been dreaming. Chirithy has to have put him in a special dream. It’s the only way this made sense. “Why didn’t you say anything?” Like he was one to talk.
Aqua rubbed the back of her neck, “I’m not very good with this kind of stuff. Even though I had a feeling you liked me, I just couldn’t find the nerve. Then I started thinking about how I could be wrong and I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. I kept finding reasons to keep quiet. But next thing I know is I started thinking more and more about these feelings sense we got back home and I-” Aqua jumped at the touch of Ven’s hand grab hers. She’s glad he did it, or else she might’ve rambled for hours.
A pressure weighed on their chest. One that was slowly pulling them together. The two of them couldn’t speak, only lean closer. They wanted the same thing. They knew it buy all the blushing moments and not so secret glances. Aqua moved the guitar away from Ven to get even closer. Ven invited the approach by tugging her hand closer to him. Her face had to be only inches away. Way to far for his liking. Aqua finally spoke.
“I think we should both close our eyes this time.” She said, flustered by her own suggestion. She was glad she managed to say it though. The moment his eyes closed, Aqua understood why he asked before. Filled with ease and courage, Aqua pressed her lips against the ones that had just serenaded her moments ago. Neither kept track how long they remained like this and neither cared. The only thing that mattered was it had finally happened; and it was only going to keep happening for many days to come.
[many thanks to @venquaweek because fun fact, I’ve had this music idea for three years and never wrote it 😂]

Maledicite Terrae (Curses 2)
Word Count - 2397
I watched my hair go from brown to Blonde, over and over again, changing colours now to dark green to blue, stopping at a dirty blonde colour, matching Marlene just a bit. “I like it,” I whispered to myself, running my hair through my now blonde hair.
“You are just like your brother, get out of the bathroom and come on Josie,” Lily Evans yelled at me, banging on the door. “You're going to be late to your own Quidditch game!” She yelled again, not having the chance to bang on the door.
“I’m ready,” I said to Lily who’s mouth dropped open, a smile appeared on Marlene's face and Alice looked surprised. “Come on now, your gonna make me late for my own game,” I said to Lily mocking her voice.
“You look wonderful,” Marlene said putting her hand on my head. “You know I like it,” She said with a smile. “Now come on, James and Sirius would kill you if their seeker wasn't at the game,” She said pulling my arm.
“James and Sirius would have a complete heart attack if you didn't show,” Lily said joking. “Gives me an idea,” She said with a smile.
~
“What do you mean you don’t know where Josie is, is she mad?” James said looking over at Sirius who looked twice as mad then back at Lily. “What am I saying, my sister is mad,” He said putting his hand on his head.
“We’re going to lose to Hufflepuff, HUFFLEPUFF!” Sirius said kicking the nearest box at him. “Beauty without brains,” I heard him say in his head, making me smirk a bit.
“Do you guys really think I would leave you hanging against Hufflepuff,” I said to the two as I walked into the tent with a smirk on my face. “You both are bloody crazy,” I mocked James' voice.
“Ducky,” James muttered.
“Skunk,” I shot back.
“Freak,”
“Asshole,”
“Oh okay that's enough,” Sirius said coming in between us too. “The team is waiting for us, let's go you two and enough bickering from you two,” Sirius said making me smile a bit.
“Nice hair,” Sirius said looking at my hair, from Brunette to Blonde was a big change for me but I needed change in my life.
“Nice hair too, even know it's messy,” I smirked running my hand through it. I turned to James, leaning on his shoulder a bit. “We win by the way,” I whispered so only James could hear.
“I know, we always win,” He replied knowing what I meant, Every night, my dreams would be something different, some good some bad, but it's was getting worse, way worse.
“Nice hair,” Remus said as he walked towards the three of us. “Blonde really suits you now,” he said with a smile. “Good luck you three,” He said with a thumbs up then walked away with Lily and the girls.
“Bloody hell I didn't enough notice your hair,” James said with a smile. “Easier said than done, all you gotta do is think it,” He said joking making Sirius look over at the two of us. “With hair dye you know,” James said covering his tracks.
“Here comes the Gryffindor team, the trio, Sirius Black as Beater number 53, James Potter our best catcher 35 and my best friend Josie Potter our Seeker!” Alice yelled out, she became the speaker after Frank suggested it. “LET THE GAME BEGIN,” She screamed as the snitch was flown away and the Quaffle was released followed by the three Bludgers.
“James Potter is off, Quaffle in hand, he throws and,” With a slight pause from Alice. “HE SCORES, 10 points for Gryffindor!” Alice screamed joined in by the Gryffindor stands.
I looked around the field for a minute, searching for the snitch, spotting it right almost in the hands of other Seeker Dean Grudge. “No way,” I mumbled taking off my broom in that direction. “No way Dean,” I shouted at him, bumping into him with my broom.
“Nice hair huh,” He said reaching for the snitch. “Let me take you on a date,” He asked almost getting to the snitch, I put my hand out reaching for it too, both inches away.
“The three Broomsticks, tomorrow,” I shouted at him, watching the bludgers come right for him. “Sorry,” I yelled as the bludger hit the back of his broom and fall to the ground, with the snitch right into my hand I fell along with him with my hand up in the air.
“Josie Potter has caught the snitch,” Alice shouted. “My best friend did it again!” She screamed as the mic dropped and everyone cheered around.
“See you tomorrow for our date,” Dean said standing over top of me well I laid on the ground. He put out his hand to help me up.
“See you tomorrow,” I said with a smile, unravelling my hand to look at the snitch in my hand. Dean walked away and James was running to me.
“Look at your profit, always right,” James joked looking at the snitch in my hand. “You know as captain, that snitch it mine,” He said putting his hand on the snitch, both of us having a grip on it.
“James Fleamont Potter,” I muttered pulling the snitch from him, we both pulled back on the snitch before both falling back and letting it go. “Oh look what you did!” I yelled at James watching the snitch fly away.
“I’ve got it,” Sirius muttered at the both of us getting on his broom and flying up to catch the snitch, I quickly got up on my broom and followed him up.
“What's your problem Black, we won,” I shouted chasing after him. “You did great out there,” I added.
“I know your dirty little secret ducky,” He shouted stopping his broom with the snitch in his hand. “You're a metamorphmagus,” Sirius said with a smirk.
“I don't know what you’re talking about, and don’t call me ducky,” I muttered taking the snitch from his hand and flying off, back down to James who looked madder at them when I left him.
“You have a date with a Hufflepuff tomorrow?” He asked with his hands crossed. “With Dean too,” He muttered but was shortly cut off with the three girls running to me.
“Come on, we have to get ready for the party,” LIly said taking my hand. “Potter.” She mumbled looking at James who just stared at her with a smile.
“Lily Flower,” James said with a smile to Lily. “You gonna say yes to my date now?” He asked making me hit him in the chest.
“Oh all the things I could do to your hair,” Alice said pulling me away from the two boys and back to the castle. “You would look so cute with space buns and blonde hair, oh my,” She said happily.
“I have a date tomorrow night,” I blurted out making the three girls look at me. “With Dean Grudge, at the three broomsticks,” I said to the three who looked at me in disbelief.
“James is going to Hex that boy into next week,” Marlene joked not really joking. The last time a boy had asked me out he never showed up, turns out James and Sirius hexed him, sending him to the hospital wing so he couldn't show up for our date.
“Which is why we’re having our date at the three broomsticks, where you three can make sure James doesn't do anything dumb,” I said to the three girls. “Now come on we go get ready for the party,” I said with a smile, looking back at James, Sirius, Remus and Peter.
“God your such an ass,” Peter Pettigrew thought making me chuckle a bit. “Sirius Black I could kill you,” He muttered making me roll my eyes and turn around.
“Why do you do that?” Lily asked poking my shoulder. “You just zone out, staring at nothing,” She asked.
“Just old habits of James and I,” I said to her smiling, opening the door to the castle. “Dean is a nice guy, must be he’s in Hufflepuff now,” I said nervously. “I don't understand why James has to ruin the fun for me,” I mumbled now angry, watching my strain of hair in front of my face slowly turn red but I stopped it.
“He’s just your brother, it's what brothers do,” Alice said whispered the password to the fat lady and watching the common room door open, the boys already beating us there. “How did you?” She asked but stopped.
“Magic,” James smirked leaning into the couch. “I heard Deans gonna be sick tomorrow afternoon,” He muttered making Sirius laugh, causing me to stop and look at him.
“Oh, James Fleamont Potter I could hex you right now!” I yelled taking my wand out. “Why do you always have to ruin everything for me, why can’t you let me go on one date!” I screamed making Sirius, Remus and Peter cover their ears, James was unphased.
“You're my sister, I’m not gonna let a little Hufflepuff hurt my sister, over my dead body,” He said standing up and taking his wand out. “Hex me I dare you, I’m better anyways,” I said egging me on, my feet started patting and my hands started shaking in anger.
“Levicorpus!” I screamed pointing my wand at James, watching him turn upside down and hang by his ankles. “I’m better huh,” I mocked walking towards him.
“Relation,” James growled pointing his wand at me, making me drop my wand and land him down on the couch. “I know I’m better,” He said standing up as I picked up my wand.
“James Potter you are the most ignorant man on this planet,” I yelled turning on my heel and walking out of the common room. “Please don’t open it for any of my friends to follow me,” I said to the fat lady, making my hair turn a bright red and running away to the outside of the castle and to the black lake docks, turning into a duck and jumping into the water.
“You know,” James said sitting on the dock. “The more times you tell the fat lady to not let anyone out, the more times she doesn't listen to you,” He said looking at me in the lake. “Don’t speak, just let me talk,” He joked knowing I wasn't going to say anything. “I love you a lot Josie, but I don’t want anyone hurting you, or finding out about you, that would be a terrible mess to clean up, passably to mom and dad,” James said watching me come closer to him, walking onto the land and turning back into myself.
“Serena Potter held her secret until the day she died, I think I could too,” I said wrapping my arms around my brother. “You know I saw something the other day in my dreams,” I said to James turning to him.
“What do you see, what's wrong?” He asked worried, turning his whole body to me and looking confused. “Josie?” He said putting his arm on my shoulder.
“I saw you falling into the black lake,” I chuckled wrapping my arms around him and tipping both of us into the black lake, turning myself into a duck again.
“Ducky are you serious?” James said coming up from the water and looking at the duck in front of him. “You really are a special one,” He muttered kissing the top of my head.
“What are you doing Potter?” Sirius Black asked coming to the end of the dock. “A duck in this lake?” He said sitting down.
“Yeah a stupid one-two,” James muttered grabbing onto the end of the dock and helping himself up. “Sirius you should go back, I’m just waiting for something,” James said to Sirius looking back at me in the water.
“Yeah little old Ducky here turning back into your sister, I saw what happened,” Sirius said chuckling, James looked at him, then back at me.
“I don’t know what you're talking about Sirius,” James muttered putting his hand out into the water and picking me up. “This is just a normal duck,” He said patting my head before Sirius took me into his own hands.
“Then you wouldn't mind me giving the duck to Slughorn, he was looking for some duck feathers for some potions,” Sirius said standing up, that moment I turned back into myself and tossing myself off him.
“You will no such things with my duck feathers!” I yelled shaking my head at him. “How rude,” I said poking his forehead.
“Josie Fleamont Potter what did you do!” James said now poking the side of my head. “What happened to not telling anyone huh, look at your hair, bright red, you just giving yourself away!” He said shaking my head at me.
“Would you have rathered me be duck head soup!” I said back then looking at Sirius. “You were gonna turn me into soup,” I mumbled shaking my head.
“I wouldn't have done it, but I’ve done for a long time that your a metamorphmagus,” Sirius said looking at James then at me. “I never was curious of the bat that hung in our rooms until I put the pieces together that it was you, when we never let you join boys night, that bat was there hanging from the roof every night of boys night,” Sirius explained making my roll my eyes.
“Of course I should have known that was you, you could never take no for an answer, boys night is private,” James said rolling his eyes making me chuckle.
“Didn't know you guys wanting to become Animagus next year, and planned on getting tattoos next months, illegal tattoos,” A smile formed on Sirius’ face when I said that. “You said no secrets, James, I was just keeping up with your word,” I joked making him roll his eyes again.
“We should get back, these wet clothes are getting to me,” James muttered walking past Sirius and me I. “Let's go,” he called back at the two of us.
“What other secrets are you hiding from me,” Sirius smirked throwing his hand over my shoulder and walked with me. “Come on now, you can trust me,” He said holding the door open with his other hand.
“Gain my trust first then maybe I’ll tell you my dirty little secrets,” I said chuckling, following James into the common room. “Goodnight Sirius,” I whispered to him then looked over at James, taking Sirius to hand off me.
“Goodnight Ducky,” James muttered throwing his hands over me. “No more secrets,” He whispered in my ear, following Sirius up to their room.

SoKai Week Day 1. Prompt: One Heart.
So… Sora and Kairi’s entire conversation at the start of this is based on one that Buffy and Angel had in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, that I felt was too perfect to pass up for this.
Enjoy!
Also… it should hopefully be clear in the story, but Kairi—who is the PoV here—is definitely being an unreliable narrator in this fic, and being WAY too hard on herself.
Have Heart
It was a hideous day outside: rain was falling in torrents, the wind was howling, and there was an eclipse keeping anyone from seeing the sun.
But even though the weather conditions were bleak, the past hours hadn't been a complete loss for the Guardians of Light. While Ava had, unfortunately, gone back to the Master of Master's side after he'd told her how he loved her like a dad would, they'd gotten Aced to their side when they'd explained to him that even they thought he'd had good intentions—even if his father and siblings couldn’t see that—but had just gone about things the wrong way…
And maybe that was why Kairi and Sora were having a heart-to-heart themselves right now, in Merlin's Study, while everyone else was outside trying to fix Radiant Garden’s claymores...
"I saw you on the day you became the most popular girl at school, y'know,” Sora said now, as he held onto Kairi’s hand and looked earnestly into her eyes. “It was a beautiful day, where the sun was actually shining unlike now... and you had a lollipop in your mouth, and walked down the stairs to the courtyard… and I fell in love with you then.”
"Why?" Kairi couldn't keep herself from asking. Because it was beyond her how Sora had ever cared for the weak girl who had led to his death, let alone cared for the horrible creature she’d been even before that.
"Because... I could see your heart,” Sora assured her with a smile, as he ran a hand through her hair. And Kairi supposed he must have been serious about this… since Sora always took matters of the heart so seriously. It made her feel even more in love, even if she wasn’t sure she deserved it. "…And I was worried that your heart would be bruised or broken. And more than anything else in the world, I wanted to warm it with my own."
Kairi hugged Sora for these words—as how could she not? Especially since she wanted to revel in this feeling a little while longer, if she was going to selflessly give it up… if she couldn’t change—and replied, "That's so sweet, Sora." And it was.
But for some reason, Kairi also couldn't help thinking of their blood pumping organs being pushed together, instead of their figurative hearts that Sora had really been speaking about, "Or, taken literally… really gross." (1)
“Y’know… I was just thinking the same thing,” Sora muttered, seeming suddenly ashamed of himself if the tone in his voice was anything to go by.
And Kairi laughed uproariously, as she pulled away from Sora and smiled at him widely… and then he was grinning at her, too, before he was twirling her around and they were dancing in the midst of their ridiculous life.
And Kairi held onto the moment, in thinking that it could be her last moment with Sora… for so many reasons.
...
In the end… Kairi was selfish. She always had been, and knew this well. Wasn’t this why she’d always wanted Sora to stay home with her, rather than go on his quests? …Or why she’d forced herself into battles she wasn’t ready for—endangering everyone that way—just so she could stay by Sora’s side? And then… after Sora had died, she’d become the worst possible version of herself. That old popular girl with the bad attitude again, but also someone who’d been grieving for trauma that had happened to her on one, two, three fronts… and she’d been so cold to Riku because of it… someone who was Sora’s best friend.
And after everything they’d been through… maybe she should have just let Sora and herself be together, like they so desperately wanted, but after Sora’s heartfelt declaration the other day—where he’d told her he’d loved her when she’d only been at the first stage of unlovable—she couldn’t help thinking he deserved so much better than her.
But Kairi was too awful to let Sora go completely… So she stopped touching him or being around him if she could help it, without explaining anything, as she tried to become a better (or lesser?) version of herself, so she could hopefully be comfortable in his arms again, sooner rather than later?
Where her enemies were concerned… Kairi stopped talking to them—in not being able to get over just how annoying she was when she spoke—but she also hated that she was doing this… because it reminded her of the girl who hadn’t gotten to speak to her abuser until he was already dead, and she couldn’t get much relief that way, and it was causing the Foretellers to just think she was the simple girlfriend of Sora again, and nothing more.
But if it somehow made Kairi’s heart… truer, she would continue on this path.
So when Ursula's family were making a big deal of her being in love with George from the Jungle, when Kairi was helping out in that world, she said nothing... She also didn't even question why Alice seemed older than she should have been, when she went to Wonderland herself for the first time, and why it seemed different than Sora described it as... She even ignored telling her new friends who she thought framed Roger Rabbit, when she'd figured the answer out herself. And even when it was revealed to her that Master Ava was somehow her grandmother… Kairi didn’t react. But that was more from shock than anything else.
But it was after that had transpired, that Sora seemed to have enough of the silent treatment and began questioning her. "Kairi... I thought you wanted to be more active on our journeys… so why are you being less so now? Are you okay?"
They were back home on Destiny Islands now, after having defeated the Master of Master’s plans and most of the Foretellers, unfortunately. And Kairi had decided to just deal with all of her grief here, and not ruin the party that was going on outside, but she should have known that Sora would never leave her alone when her heart was clearly in distress… that was what she loved about him.
The Kairi of old, who had been pretty good at bottling up her emotions, wouldn't have told Sora the truth here… But the one who remembered how doing such a thing had destroyed Terra, Ventus, and Aqua’s friendship for a while, knew that she had to finally speak.
"...What's wrong is that I'm supposed to be Light, Sora…. But you're kinder and truer than I could ever be… and I’m not saying that to insult you or anything… I just find that no matter what I do, I’m a mean girl—even though I'm trying to fight some of that now… and be less me—so what can you possibly see in me? And what did the universe see, in order to gift me with this power?"
And Kairi assumed that Sora would give her some massive speech here… perhaps something like his “my friends are my power” speech, or when he’d told Riku he didn’t have a conscience… or something along the lines of what he’d said to get her to want to stay in Traverse Town so many years ago…
But instead, Sora just admitted with much simplicity and heart: "Kairi, I love you because you're you... for all the times you've saved me, and how you poke fun at me, and how we've grown up together. How could I not? So stop trying to be anyone other than yourself. And, I mean, Mister Arrogant over here isn't exactly perfect. Our flaws make us good for each other, too, believe it or not."
And Kairi wanted to argue this, she really did. Because how could the hero of the worlds be comparing himself to her?
But if Kairi was being honest with herself, she loved Sora for pretty similar reasons to what he’d just said about her, didn't she? Even when she was put off by how conceited he could be, for example, in thinking he could just magically go to the next school year—despite his grades—just because his teachers loved him so much.
And Kairi held Sora in her arms again… probably something she should’ve been doing every second and every day since he’d first spilled his guts to her, instead of pushing him away, and Kairi asked Sora the question that perhaps the universe had laid on her mind to try and comfort her. "I guess I really do need you to warm my heart, huh?"
And the words "you bet" were whispered against Kairi's head, as Sora kissed her forehead and brought her even closer to him.
Author’s Note: (1) I struggled with whether I wanted to give Kairi this Buffy line or not. On one hand… I didn’t want to, because Sora was spilling his heart out to Kairi here, and it didn’t seem like she would somewhat shoot that in the foot by saying this. But at the same time… I want Kairi to have her personality, tbh… The snarky one that we really saw in KHI and KHII, that allowed her to banter with Sora: as I think that’s one of the reasons they’re good and fun together and have chemistry. So, in the end, I decided to keep it for that reason. And perhaps Kairi later thought of her saying that, and it’s part of the reason she’s hating on herself in this story. -shrugs-

Fate ep 3, second half
Welcome back! So I’m enjoying the heck outta Fate… but not as a Winx thing. I mean,
Things Fate has in common with Winx:
Some of the names.
Things Fate does not have in common with Winx:
The rest of the names, the characters’ personalities, how magic works, how the world works, who’s dating who, the color of Riven’s hair, how many drugs everyone’s doing, the style of clothing, who the teachers are, what the school looks like, what Bloom’s parents are like, etc. etc.
If they’d just renamed it Elemental Academy it’d still have been a fun show and we could’ve skipped all… this…
Gods I wish we could’ve skipped all this.
But weirdly separate from all this, I’m reviewing a show with some teachers who I like.
The students of Elemental Academy are headed to the quietest rave ever! Lots of purple lightbars and everybody’s drinking! Ok, if the teachers know how many substances their students are using shouldn’t they at least try to not let them? Ok, I can see Silva having a grand time making everybody do grueling workouts while hung over but substances and healthy fighting form don’t go together longterm.
Terra explains. This is the east wing of Alfea, “It used to be used for war preparations but since there hasn’t been a conflict in a while no one really comes down here. Except for tonight!”
I want to know what the last war was about, who fought in it, who they were fighting against, how often wars happen in the Otherworld… but Bloom wants a beer.
Ohmigod Terra brought pot brownies! Ahahahahaha! That was literally a joke on discord weeks before Fate aired, that Terra would be the fairy of pot brownies. Also Musa has gorgeous eye makeup. Race stuff aside, Elisha Applebaum is really pretty. Sam comes over, and there’s Dane. Sam gives Terra grief about the special brownies. And Dane ditches her to go offer Riven and Sky some special brownies. Poor Terra.
Bloom finds Sky and asks about Silva and Sky opens up to being upset, that Silva raised him and having Silva’s life in danger is messing him up. Then Sky asks Bloom about her parents and she says it’s complicated and she maybe needs more booze to go into it. Sky wouldn’t mind a distraction himself, so off to drink it is!
Debauchery! Beer pong! Bloom and Aisha versus Sky and Riven! Everyone drinking lots of cups! Bloom uses her power to make beer hot, which is neat since warmth seems much more useful than fire. Aisha tries to use her magic to bounce the ball out and ends up blasting all the cups and drenching Riven. Who probably deserves it just on genera…. Yup, here he is, telling Bloom about Sky’s last girl! Ricki, Stella’s last roommate and bestie until she flirted with Sky and Stella blinded her. On purpose. Bloom can’t believe it. Sky just says, ‘Yeah. that’s the story.’ But the mood is well and truly killed, and Bloom goes off to find Aisha.
Stella is in a dress solid with sequins, standing with a student in a full beard, I think.
Looking for Aisha Bloom wanders into a storage room for war stuff, and finds a class picture! There she is, the dream woman standing with a class of specialists! I think she must’ve been the Specialist trainer before Silva.
Sam and Musa flirt. Smooching!
Then Musa senses Terra coming as a wave of social anxiety and Sam vanishes through a pillar to escape. Terra wants Musa to read Dane’s mind to see if they have a chance. Musa says there is a chance.
Dane, riven and Beatrix have found the war supplies too. Plate armor! This world still uses plate armor! They do a three-way smoking of one joint, which is so gross. I know covid wasn’t a thing when this was made but eeeeeeeew the poor actors! Riven is his horrible self and teases Dane about how much Terra wants his dick. And Riven whose shirt was splashed with beer, wants to steal Dane’s. Run, Dane, find better friends!
We jump to Stella and the bearded student who is ladling out punch. Sky comes right over and goes, ‘We need to talk about Ricki!” right there in the middle of the party. Stella is horrified. They back and forth… the jist seems to be that the rumor isn’t true. Stella didn’t blind Ricki on purpose but she wants everyone to think she did. Probably she did it by accident and would rather be thought of as evil than weak, which is kinda understandable. But Sky points out that being with Stella now makes him look like a total nut.
Text arrives! The Burned One is dead! Whew!
What? How! The trained adults never succeed in this kind of story! At least they lived.
And here Bloom is photographing the specialist alumni photos. Beatrix comes in and says, ‘Are you photocollaging at a party? Why are we not friends?” Bloom asks who the woman is but Beatrix says she doesn’t know.
Bloom goes and shows the pictures to Aisha. Dowling is in the photo so she must know. Aisha wants to ask Dowling tomorrow when they’re sober but Bloom’s keen to go now. Aisha basically says if Bloom is dumb enough to go demand answers at midnight while drunk, Aisha’s out.
In the headmistress’ office Beatrix and Callan are ready for another go at the secret passage trap! Since Bloom asked about Rosalind, the plot is thickening and they have to get through now! But they haven’t disarmed the trap. So Beatrix lightnings up and tosses Callan through the door. That was direct! The guy goes blue in the lips and falls down probably dying. Beatrix goes through the secret door and down the stairs beyond.
Sky finds Silva but oh no, he’s not better! It was the wrong Burned One! There are more! Sky says he’s done waiting, he wants to fight. He storms off.
In the cafeteria Dowling and Harvey mourn. It’s their job to fix this Burned One problem and they’re not having much luck.
And here comes ragey drunk Bloom! She holds up the picture and demands an infodump. Rosalind was the headmistress before Dowling during a “difficult period in Alfea’s history” And Rosalind’s dead.
...no she isn’t. Obviously.
Bloom can read the Plot as well as I can, and heads down to the stone circle to make contact! While drunk at night. But this is awesome, she flames up her hands and lights a ring of braziers and the magic silver vessel. Her jacket’s on fire too. Then the flames all go out and she droops over crying. Sky runs over in battle kit and Bloom tells him about the changeling thing and how she just wants answers. Then she asks why Sky’s dressed for battle. Sky’s going Burned One hunting! And Bloom thinks she can track the thing, she can sense them. Now Bloom’s the sensible one who suggests telling Dowling but Sky runs past her into the forest and Bloom takes off after him.
Now there’s that plot I knew should be there!
We cut back to the party where Terra is playing beer pong and gets to hug Dane who is topless ‘cause Riven stole his shirt. I think Riven is playing some kinda wingman here.
Stella rushes over to ask about Sky, and Riven stirs the pot basically saying he spilled the “blinding” thing to Bloom then jumps into, ‘no no, they’re just friends, no need to blind her too!’
Stella: “I wouldn’t waste my magic on a changeling!”
Show, if you do not tell me what the stigma of changelings is about--!
Riven didn’t know, so Stella just stilled some beans back as getting revenge on a completely different person?
Bloom sends a text. Emergency Burned One hunt at the stone circle!
It interrupts Musa mid-snog with Sam.
Beatrix walks down a dark hallway and finds… the barrier-ed door from the trailer!
Bloom and Sky pass through the barrier and end up in a place that looks like where Bloom was trying her magic a few episodes ago. Bloom says it’s close. Sky wants to know why Bloom can track it, Bloom wants to know that too. They go back to back but the Burned One looms
Magic battle! Sky gets in a few sword swings before he’s knocked down! A voice calls, ‘Close your eyes!” before Stella unleashes blinding light! Terra uses her cousin’s favorite trick and vines it to the ground and Bloom throws fire calling on Aisha to help put it out. And Sky skewers the Burned One with his sword. Down it goes!
But Musa can tell it’s not dead yet. It leaps up—then catches fire from the inside, shining orange light, then falls again. This was a top quality battle!
Dowling appears behind the girls and confirms it’s dead now.
Beatrix emerges from the tunnels to find Callan still frozen and blue-lipped. Was Dowling’s trap actually killing him or was it just keeping him paralyzed? We’ll never know because Beatrix uses lightning to blast him to dust!
I mean, Callan wasn’t much but that’s put Beatrix solidly in irredeemable territory.
But good news, we saved the more interesting adult! Silva is on the mend. Well enough to immediately give Sky grief about going after a Burned One like an idiot. Sky only cares if his mentor is better, and he hugs Silva. Sweet moment all round.
The girls are getting the same from Dowling. But Musa sensed a tiny bit of pride in the headmistress.
Sky arrives, and Bloom says they should all get home, leaving Stella to talk to Sky. The other four have clearly bonded, and Stella’s clearly the odd one out. Stella says, ‘I was awful today. Seeing you scared I couldn’t deal with it.” and, ‘You’re the only one that knows the real me.” she goes in for a kiss but Sky pulls back saying, “That’s your choice, Stella.”
Stella disagrees. “I’m the heir to the Solarian throne, if you knew the kind of pressure...” and says Sky is her safety net and she needs to know he’s there if she needs him. But what if he needs somebody?
Which brings up a side issue. I don’t think Sky and Stella are doing the deed these days, but if they are or were that’s epic dumb for the heir to a kingdom. Royalty tends to care about premarital romps more than commoners, and if they came down with a case of surprise baby that baby would be a future heir! And then they’d pretty much have to get married, and if Eraklyon was on the other side of those wars nobody’ll tell us about that could add up to a real mess.
I wonder if there was sex in the past, Stella desperate for a distraction to get her out of her own head while knowing that every time the clothes came off they were taking a big risk thus creating more stress by the very means they tried to escape it.
This show tries to be all dark and gritty by having teenagers do loads of drugs but did they think of all this? It’s just practicality but it’d be plenty dark.
Over in the dorm Terra’s getting ready for bed. Musa comes to say, ‘your brother’s pretty great.’ but Terra laughs it off, not paying attention. She texts Dane to say she had fun at the party and Dane replies with a video of himself shirtless roughhousing with Riven. The phrase, “fat girl with the brownies” is the only thing that can be understood. I think Beatrix is filming, and she films the three of them doing a trio-smooch with pot smoke!
Terra cries. This show is cruel to her. Not as bad as I was expecting it to be, but bad enough. Hope she strangles the lot of ‘em.
Over with Bloom and Aisha, Bloom says, ‘You’d be proud of me, I went to the stone circle but chose not to summon all my magic and burn the Otherworld down.”
That was a choice? That did not look like a choice, Bloom.
Bloom starts in on sensing the Burned One and Dowling being sus and Rosalind, but Aisha is done being the sidekick. She suggests there might be no conspiracy and offers the really logical idea that maybe a teenage student got pregnant and didn’t know what to do so Rosalind changelinged the baby. Good on Aisha for trying to climb out of the rabbit hole, but Bloom’s too deep and says there are too many unanswered questions. I mean, she’s a destiny-ridden protagonist so she is right, but after last month we’ve seen in the real world how far people can go when they feel that they’re destiny-ridden protagonists… feels different now. The show in its cultural context.
Then Aisha says “some people” would kill to be a natural with magic like Bloom is even if she’s just an “ordinary” fairy and says Bloom should be “realistic.”
Oh Aisha, when will you learn to not say stuff? For Bloom “realistic” means birth parents who didn’t want her and gave her up. Bloom starts crying saying she has to believe there’s more to it than that. And yeah, that is understandable.
Ending scene with the adults in Dowling’s unlit office! “Bloom had a memory of the fairy that left her in the human world. It was Rosalind.” One of the guys says, “Ah shit.” As the camera moves down toward the mystery barrier in the tunnel Dowling continues, “Bloom has the potential to be one of the most powerful fairies the Otherworld has ever seen. If Rosalind is calling to her there’s a reason. We can never let them meet.’
And there’s Rosalind inside the barrier! Not dead.
Good ending music this time, but no lyrics.
I think Dowling hasn’t yet realized her secretary got lightninged to death.
I’ve also been wondering who “he” the evil overlord could be. Can’t be Rosalind because she’s a she! None of the named male characters seem at all sus. Callan’s dead, Sky’s dad is named but dead (unless he isn’t), Silva and Harvey are way too sweet, and Beatrix has no respect for any of the teenagers. Unless one of them is getting possessed maybe? Riven vaped in an evil spirit and occasionally his eyes glow and he spouts evil orders? Maybe it’s a guy we haven’t met yet, or a master Burned One on a dark throne in a cave somewhere. That’d make sense.
My main curiosity now is for Stella’s full story! Stella is an interesting character! Despicable, but interesting now that I’ve stopped thinking she’s going to be anything like the other Stella. Maybe we’ll find out… next time on Elemental Academy!

Aida
Have you ever been to a party and tried to work in a “walk like an Egyptian” move, inevitably received with blank stares that involve a of general lack of coordination and sense of anything? Well, Aida is similar to this dance for two reasons. One, because it is tragic to watch, and probably more significant, it takes place in the time of pharaohs, in Egypt.
"Don't Miss This Moment" Moment:
Act I, Radame’s area “Celeste Aida”, where he sings of his love for Aida and how he will bring her back to her own country one day. I also love Aida’s aria in the last scene, “O terra, adio”, where she says goodbye to the earth. Imagine Rose from Titanic saying “I’ll never let go” to Jack. It’s a real tear-jerker right? Well if you watch Aida, get ready for a waterfall.
Characters:
Amneris- princess of Egypt- she ismore confused about her love for Radames than a moth on a Las Vegas street at midnight.
The King of Egypt- father of Anmeris. as Nicki Minaj would say, he’s a Super Bass. No seriously, he’s a bass.
Amonasro-King of Ethiopia, father of Aida-like Kanye pre-Swift Meltdown-still a jerk.
Aida-Amneris’ slave who was captured by the Egyptians during the war. She is secretly the princess of Ethiopia. She’s like that girl that nobody ever notices until one summer she loses the braces, the bangs, loses a considerable amount of chipmunk cheek fat and grows a foot. Psh. That’s not me at all. (The girl shall remain anonymous)
Radames- a young officer- loves the ladies.
Plot Overview:
ACT I
The King’s Palace in Memphis. There is an intense war going on between the Ethiopians and Egyptians. The handsome Radames hopes to become a general and marry Aida. Awkwardly, Amneris walks in and says something along the lines of “boy I think about you every night and day, I’m addicted wanna jam inside your love”. Even more awkward, Aida walks in whipping her hair back and forth Willow Smith style and says she has a crush on him too (prepare for a catfight with lots of meowing).
Now a bunch of people including the King, announce that the Ethiopians are about to attack! Aida prays that Radames, who is fighting for the Egyptians, will win, but then has an “oh snap” moments and realizes that if he wins then her father, the Ethiopian king, will lose. Next, a bunch of priest dudes dance and everyone prepares for the battle.
ACT II
In scene one, Amneris, being the psycho she is, tricks Aida to find out if Aida loves Radames. So, she lies and tells Aida that Radames is dead. Of course, Aida starts freaking out. The rivalry between them is now official. Amneris then walks out with putting two fingers to her eyes and then to Aida while whispering, “I’m watching you” (well not really but that’s what it looks like).
In the next scene, Radames comes back from the battle victorious. The Egyptians have taken several prisoners including Aida’s father, Amonasro, who is disguising himself as a normal Ethiopian. Suddenly, the king decides that Radames will marry his daughter Amneris. Radames and Aida are like-wow thanks there buddy and Amneris might as well be clapping her hands together like an idiot and giving high-fives to her servants.
ACT III
A hot summer night on the banks of the Nile.
It is the eve of Amneris’ wedding to Radames. Aida and Radames are supposed to have a secret rendez-vous, but before Radames shows up, Amonasro, being the plot-ruiner he is, persuades Aida to get war information out of Radames. All Amonasro needs to know is where the Egyptians have hidden their armies and then he can attack (at this point I want to punch him, you will see why).
So when Radames finally comes, Amonastro hides behind bushes (can’t imagine my parents doing this) and Aida eventually gets Radames to tell her the classified info. Amonasro pops out of the bushes and tries to jump Radames, when suddenly Amneris and a priest walk out of the temple. Aida and Amonasroro manages to escape but Radames is charged with treason (Having been introduced to opera, I think we all know that it goes downhill from here).
ACT IV
While Radames is in his prison cell, Amneris tells him if he decides to marry her instead of Aida, then she will save him from his doomed fate (I would have taken up that offer any day). Being the Romeo Radames is, he of course refuses to marry Amneris, and is condemned to be buried alive in a crypt (this would only happen in an opera). In scene two, as the priests are closing Radames into the crypt (cue the Jaws music) Radames sees Aida. She has been waiting for him in the crypt for three days (even I don’t love my boyfriend that much). As the lovers sing their farewell, the curtain closes.
Important to Note:
I guess in the opera world, the ending of Aida could be considered happy. The protagonists don’t die separately, but they die together. A real improvement. On a serious note, if you are in a post-break-up mood, go see Aida instead of watching The Notebook! As someone important somewhere said, “If you want peace, prepare for war”. Unless of course you’re in an opera, where someone in a ridiculously expensive costume somewhere outlandish would sing, “If you want peace, go see a Broadway musical”

Imperial Space Marine finds himself in Fodlan. Hilarity ensures.
To say I had fun with this prompt is...a bit of an understatement.
-----
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.
-----
BRIEFING:
----------
DEATHWATCH MARINE DEPLOYED: Andrus Cassius, Ultramarines.
MISSION: Investigate possible T’au Warp/FTL experiment. Search and Destroy.
Use any means necessary to complete the mission.
The Emperor Protects.
-----
PROLOGUE
Andrus walked through the woods, his helmet’s visors lighting up the night.
Scanning everything in his vicinity, this world didn’t seem anything like the facility he had just infiltrated.
It was lush and full of life.
The factory he was in did not even have a scrap of grass when he made his way near the entrance.
He decided to put that to the side for now, it was clear that the portal had sent him to a different planet.
The mission to eliminate the prototype was a success, escaping was another story.
Security was hot on his heels as he tried stealing one of their ships as the explosion took over the entire facility.
His luck ran out when the explosion overwhelmed him and the ship. It seemed like the explosion was actually the prototype activating as it destroyed itself.
It didn’t seem like anything was hostile on this planet however, so the coast was clear.
“Only a matter of time before the T’au find me. I have to get out of here until then,” he thought to himself.
He checked the ammunition in his Boltgun. His ammo was mostly full, which he thanked himself for reserving the use of.
Andrus holstered his Boltgun and checked his chainsword, the revving of the engine was still smooth, if a little bloody.
When he looked up, his helmet displayed information that a settlement was nearby. Andrus had the helmet zoom in, checking the population of the town.
When he saw several humans standing guard with spears and armor seeming that of Terra’s ancient times, he sighed in relief.
It seemed that this planet was run by Human forces, albeit it seemed like they hadn’t had contact with the Imperium of Man in a very long time if they were still using such primitive weapons.
He stepped out of the trees and walked towards the guards outside.
(Guard) “Halt! Who....goes...?”
Andrus was used to people’s reactions at this point. He stood at around 9 feet, so he easily towered most people. Most of the subjects of the Imperium revered Space Marines as if they were some sort of deity.
A God walking amongst mortals, is what some would say.
Regardless, he had to make this quick. The mission was completed and it needed to be reported as such.
(Andrus) “His greetings upon you, subject of the Imperium. I need to get in contact with my superiors. Who is in charge around here.”
(Guard 2) “Uh...Who are you?”
(Andrus) “I am Andrus, an Astartes of the Emperor of Mankind. An angel of death.”
(Guards) “...”
(Andrus) “...A Space Marine.”
(Guard) “Buddy, what the hell’s a space marine?”
Although he had his helmet on, he was shocked at their reaction. At first sight, most people knew what he was. These guards however looked like as if they could care less of what he was.
Slowly realizing this, Andrus put his hands near his boltgun.
(Andrus) “You are subjects of the Imperium of Man, are you not?”
(Guard) “We’re part of Remiere village pal. And what’s with the getup? You from the army or something?”
Clearly, something was wrong. They did not know who their own rulers were, yet...
(Andrus) “I apologize, I must have mistaken this place as something else. Is the town open?”
(Guard) “Sure but, I think people’ll stare at ya like a freak. Not everyday we get someone as huge as you.”
Andrus nodded and was about to make his way into town before he heard a voice behind him.
(Girl’s voice) “E-Excuse us!”
He turned around and his helmet outlined three people coming towards him.
Two boys and a girl, seemed like teenagers.
They stopped when they saw him, completely forgetting what they were about to say.
(Boy in yellow) “Holy crap! Uh, sorry to bother you sirs but could you help?”
(Boy in blue) “There are bandits after us!”
(Girl in red) “We are sure our school can pay you whatever compensation you require, but please!”
Andrus looked at the three and the clothes they were wearing.
They were students of some fancy academy it seemed, and it didn’t seem like this place was under Chaos corruption as he suspected.
Whatever the case, now wasn’t the time to gawk. These children were under attack, so the questions would come later.
(Andrus) “Fear not. I will help you for no charge, guards I recommend sealing the gate to the towns. You kids go in as well-”
(Girl in red) “That is not necessary. We can hold our ground as well.”
(Boy in yellow) “Yeah, all we needed was a bit of help. Name’s Claude by the way! That’s Dimitri and Edelgard.”
Andrus nodded, and took out his boltgun.
(Andrus) “I am Andrus. Now, where are these bandits?”
An arrow zoomed by and hit the wall behind Andrus, and saw several bandits were coming from the forest, armed with axes and knives.
Andrus held his boltgun in one hand and took out the chainsword in another.
(Andrus) “Make them pay for this assault! CHARGE!”
Andrus took off running towards the first wave of bandits and began to lay waste.
With a crack of his boltgun, the upper half of a bandit exploded into red paste, and forced the chainsword into the hips of another bandit, cutting through him like a hot knife.
Andrus was expecting these bandits to begin firing any kind of conventional weapons like Bolt pistols, autoguns or lasguns. If any were even present this battle, it was not revealed yet.
Deciding not to waste precious ammunition, Andrus holstered back his boltgun and continued to use his chainsword.
A bandit tried to charge him and slammed the axe into his power armor, it scraping off and not even making a scratch.
Andrus grabbed the bandit’s head, lifting him up into the air and digging his chainsword straight through his chest.
Several arrows flew and deflected off his helmets, making barely a sound as it fell to the ground.
He looked at the bandits trying to attack him with more arrows, but one of them was hit by an arrow, alerting the whole group.
Dimitri and Edelgard rushed in and cut down the rest before they could run.
(Andrus) “Hmph, not bad fighters.”
Andrus lifted the chainsword upwards, splitting the bandit’s head cleanly in two as he shook off the blood and continued to charge.
The ones who were still brave enough attempted to gut him, with their swords completely snapping upon contact with his power armor.
Andrus used his free hand to punch one of them, but the force he was using seemed to be too much, as his head flew off and the body crumpled.
Another bandit was kicked towards the ground, and he slammed his heel onto his chest, making his limbs fly off everywhere as he exploded from the sheer force.
(Bandit) “What the hell is he?!”
(Bandit 2) “N-No way in hell I’m fighting that!”
Bandits near Andrus began running out of fear, seeing what he did to their friends.
He turned his head to several more bandits in the distance, looking straight at them. Andrus was trying to scan what weapons, but apparenly his gaze alone was enough to make them flee in terror.
(Bandit Leader) “Hey, why are you all running?!”
Andrus turned to the bandit leader and raised his chainsword once more.
The leader flinched, not expecting to see a massive man covered in his men’s blood.
Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude stood behind him, weapons ready.
He smiled to himself as he started revving his weapon.
(Andrus) “Come, show us what passes as fury among your misbegotten kind!”
The bandit leader dropped his weapon and immediately fled with the others.
Andrus grunted, not feeling entirely satisfied that they weren’t all dead at his hands.
Oh well, the kids were safe enough so he supposed that was good for now.
He turned to face the kids and nodded.
(Andrus) “None of you are injured?”
(Dimitri) “No sir. That was incredible what you did!”
(Claude) “Aaaaand terrifying. Don’t forget that.”
(Edelgard) “S-Sorry about that comment. You have our thanks for helping us.”
(Andrus) “Of course.”
(Alois) “Don’t worry kids! The knights of Seiros are...Hey, they’re getting away! After them!”
Several knights chased after the bandits as their captain made his way over to the group.
(Alois) “Thank the goddess you’re alri-IIIIIIGHT...AHEM! Greetings sir...?”
(Andrus) “Andrus. You are part of their academy, I presume?”
(Alois) “Nice to meet you, Andrus! And um, yes, we’re their chaperones if you will. Though it seems their old professor is nowhere to be found. He must’ve ran, the coward!”
It seemed like he was a little nervous as happy as he sounded, so Andrus decided it would be best to remove his helmet to show that there was a human, and not a monster under the suit.
(Andrus) “Leaving children of the Emperor at the mercy of vagabonds is unforgivable in His eyes.”
(Edelgard) “Oh, actually I am the only one from the Empire.”
(Claude) “Yeah, she’s the princess, though she doesn’t look like it.”
(Edelgard) “Hmph. I could say the same of you, Claude. You don’t exactly look like a future leader of the Leicester Alliance yourself.”
(Dimitri) “Both of you are acting like children. You must be confusing Andrus.”
To say that they were confusing him would be a grand understatement. He had no idea what in the hell was going on.
(Alois) “Now now, regroup with the rest of your class before anything else happens. And Andrus, would you like to come along? You don’t seem to be doing anything, and we would be happy to compensate you.”
Andrus turned to Alois and stood for a moment.
He was in a completely foreign land, with technology that seems to have degraded in the most severe way, with people who did not even know what the Imperium of Man was.
Cut off from his superiors and most likely anything he knew from the Milky Way galaxy, he had no choice.
(Andrus) “I will comply. Let us go, then.”

Angel of Yesterday
Absinthe was walking back to the Bridge of the Curzes Revenge. Moments before she had a talk with Arden after their solo charge against the Word Bearers ended in them getting gravely wounded. She had realized how her own Plans were not only egotistical but also actively endangering her friends and Crew. And thus she had made a decision.
Bursting through the Door of the Bridge she grabbed the microphone of the Vox sytem and send a message to her crew which was currently split on their two Ships.
"Night Lords, Space Wolf, Word Bearer, Iron Warrior, Servs and Human Crew. Hear my message. I have to tell you that I was dishonest. I lied. My Goals never were to become Empress. My Goal was to die. I am no true Heretic. I never was. I can't agree with either System but I know that I still wish to protect the People who rely on Soldiers like us. Farmers, City folks no matter the age or planet. I want to save the people once more. I don't want to serve a Primarch. No Bureaucracy. No Kings and No Gods."
Absinthe became more and more passionate in her speech.
"BUT WHO I WANT TO SERVE ARE THE CHILDREN AND INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO GET PRAYED ON BY BOTH. We are no shiny Ultramarines. We are no benevolent Salamanders. We are killers, butchers. Traitors and Deserteurs. But we still can be Protectors. I will not lie to you again. Our help won't be appreciated. We will never get our own statues. But we will know that when Imperium and Chaos wanted us dead or integrated into their ranks that we protected the people while also staying ourselves!"
She stopped and sighed. "Those that wish to leave can do so freely. Those that leave can board the Deicide and leave. I will not hunt or judge you. Those that want to stay will join me on the Curzes Revenge... No. On the 'Claw of Retaliation'. Claw Commander Absinthe out."
Absinthe turned around, ready to face backlash and hate. To her surprise nothing of the sorts happened. On the contrary.
Nocturnus stepped forward. "Commander. I think I speak for everyone aboard our ships that we would go into the Warp and back with you. Look at us. We would be alone amd lost without you unifying us. You are our Leader. So lead us forward to a new path"
Absinthe saluted her crew, her friends. She truly was blind before. She didn't see how important they all were for each other. That she didn't need to find a new family. She already had one.
"I am honored to be your Commander. Okay lets go. Nocturnus. I want you to calculate a course towards the Atta system. The 8th world there is a Agriworld which will soon be attacked by Red Corsairs. We can thank our friend Anvil for this information given how long he worked with them. We will intercept them and kick Hurons sons off of that World."
Nocturnus didn't waste any time and started his calculations as Absinthe turned towards Anvil, Olaf and Pete. "Follow me"
Hours later, Absinthe was helping those 3 with preparing Drop Pods and Petes new Terminator Armor.
"Its my old Atramentar Power Armor. I don't fit into it anymore but it will serve you well. I can't think of a better Terminator than you"
"I appreciate the gesture Lord Absinthe."
Absinthe gave the Iron Warrior a short smile before turning her attention to a nearby servitor. "Prepare my Armor. And... Uh.. Put on the black cape. No skin."
---
The Agriworld of Atta 8 was peaceful even by our standards. Most potential Attackers were more interested in the nearby Ultramar Sector. That made big defensive builds unnecessary but that was a fatal flaw in this case.
The Corsairs coming was announced by rustling in the corn underneath the sapphire blue sky. A small farming town was their target. Score it and set up camp to raid the surrounding area that hosted the only spaceport of the planet. With the Sun in their back, the Corsairs landed in the fields. Their Ships looking like Blood Raven ships to the untrained and unknowing Farmers eye. Thus the Farmers didn't fear them once they stepped out. Nothing ever happened and noone expected Chaos Marines here.
"I greet you Lord Blood Angel! What makes you visit our small town?"
The Corsair Captain grinned, exposing his filthy, warp tainted Mouth. "Blood Angel huh? BOYS. APPARENTLY WE'RE BLOOD ANGELS"
The Corsairs laughter was disturbing and horrible. The farmers instantly realized that this situation could be very well their end. The Corsair Captain smirked as he revved up his Chainsword. "Oh whom should I kill first? I haven't met my Quota for Khorne yet and I don't want to keep the old man waiting hahahahahah"
The Townsfolk screamed and cried in horror as they ran. It was of course useless since Hurons Boys could just outrun them but pure instinct drove them forward.
The Pirates were about to rush after them when one of them turned to the Captain. "Boss. There are Drop Pods raining down nearby. Apparently they come from those two Night Lords Ships we picked up earlier."
"Night Lords here? What do they want here? Aren't they busy flaying on some fucking Hive World or getting killed by Tyberos or Guilliman? Ugh fine. Boys we hunt the farmers later. Let's take care of those Bat-winged idiots first."
As the Captain ended his speech the Drop Pods hitted the ground. Absinthe was the first and only to emerge. "Captain Teach i assume? I heard a lot about you and your Pirates."
"Heh. Heard that boys? The big girl called us famous. You must be that newcomer. Absinthe right? I faintly remember that you killed Captain Bellamy and his guys. Have to thank you for that. They were a thorn in my remaining eye"
Absinthe laughed. "Oh don't thank me. It will not make me spare you"
"Spare us? You and your 5 drop pods? We're 30 Marines and you are one big Night Lord plus 4. Give up lassie. Go home and flay some Prisoners"
Absinthe laughed as the sound of clicking Bolters was heard all around them. Out of the softly moving corn, more and more Night Lords stepped forth until they numbered 60. Then Pete, Olaf and Anvil emerged from their pods.
"Corsairs. I offer you a choice. Join me and fight for the people of the Galaxy or die like the Rats you are. Its your choice. Fight for a cause or die for a greedy Bastard that sees you as cannonfodder"
A moment of silence fell upon them. It felt like hours. The Corsairs thought. Then. One by one they dropped their guns and surrendered to Absinthe.
Only the Captain was too far gone. Corrupted by greed and the Warp. With loud screams he charged at Absinthe while throwing grenades behind him into the Village. "IF I CAN'T GET THE LOOT NOONE WILL"
He fell faster than he could realize that his life was over. With one fluid movement Absinthe had ripped off his disgusting head using her Lightning Claw "Protector", once a weapon of Terror used by Night Haunter it now would serve as a Tool of protection and peace.
While Absinthe stared at the dead body of the Captain, the others were busy putting out the fire the Grenades caused and building new Huts by using the Drop Pods in which the distraction came. Truth is that most of them were hiding there long before the Corsairs arrived. The corn had given them a perfect hiding spot to await Absinthes arrival so they could surround the Pirates. Everything went according to plan.
Soon the People returned. They had witnessed how the Pods dropped and returned after they were sure that the situation was peaceful.
"Thank you for saving us Master.", the elderly Man that greeted the Corsairs earlier now spoke to Absinthe. "What legion do you belong to?"
Absinthe sighed and removed the Cape she had put over her Shoulder to hide her Legions insignia. "I am Claw Commander Absinthe the Orphanmaker. Leader of the Night Lords 1st Claw."
Absinthe was prepared for screaming and attacks of hatred against her but all she got was a chuckle from the old man. "Orphanmaker? That doesn't seem fitting at all for someone as benevolent as you! You protected us and made us new Homes until we can rebuild our regular houses. Think about it my Lord"
Absinthe was surprised but smiled. "I will. Goodbye old Man. And tell noone of this. The Inquisition would execute you all probably."
"We won't spill a word", the elder and the entire village made a gesture as if they lock their mouths with a key and throwing the key away. A gesture Absinthe knew from Nostramo but remembered that it originated on Terra. As Absinthe turned around to leave, a small child. A girl no older than 7 approached her, trying to give her a doll made from straw and fabric. Absinthe kneeled down and smiled.
"That's a beautiful doll. Thank you. I'll make sure that she gets a nice place on my ship. I promise"
Absinthe and her men then returned to their Thunderhawks as well as the two new the Corsairs left behind when joining the 1st Claws Ranks. Only the Drop Pods were left behind and told the Story of the Night Lords that came to protect.
------
Later that Day. On the Bridge of the Claw of Retaliation, Absinthe was sitting in her command seat, holding the small doll in her hands and thinking about the mission and the gratitude the people expressed.
Nocturnus approached her after he took note of all losses and captures of the Strike. "That was good work Commander. We got new Soldiers, Gear and Thunderhawks. The Drop Pods can be replac....you look as if something is worrying you"
"Not worrying...just..that old man and the kid. They are right. Orphanmaker is a bad name for someone who wishes to help and protect People instead of killing and terrorizing them"
Nocturnus nodded. "Yeah. Hmm...What about Angel of Yesterday?"
Absinthe chuckled. "What? Nocturnus don't make me laugh. That's... What does arden always say? Cheesy?"
"No no. Think about it. You have returned into this world after 10000 years. You live after ideals that are nearly forgotten but to the People, to those you wish to protect, you are a Angel by living these ideals. Think about it. Goodnight Commander."
With that, Nocturnus left the bridge to Absinthe and the Servitors and humans that keep the ship on track.
"Angel of Yesterday.....heh. yeah...i can be that", The doll was placed on the command seat as Absinthe left for her quarters.
