kitamoto does make me so emotional. natsume says some embarrassingly earnest shit that reveals how undersocialized he is and kitamoto's reaction is to spend more time with him and introduce him to friendship. when someone who appears to be a girl his age tells him she's never read a book before, he's like oh okay, and then the next day he gives her a book with easy-to-read stories in a genre she said sounded interesting. he not only doesn't judge people but he also actively meets them where they're at...i love this sweet teenager so much i could cry.

Because she looks so cow-like she kind of freaks Cross out when she hangs around him, unfortunately she absolutely loves Cross and is always trying to hang around him

Killer didn't want to keep her locked up or keep moving her away when she just wants to cuddle, so to compromise he puts her in little sweaters that cover most of the splotches to help Cross

But it is still Killer, so he likes to be annoying with it also

One of my favourite things about LotR when you look at it through a post-Silmarillion lens is the dystopian feel. The world feels old and worn. There's ruins everywhere, broken heirlooms and family lines, the elves have become elusive... You know shit went down thousands of years ago. I love it, and I feel like it's not super noticeable until you read the history in the Silm and Unfinished Tales. Then LotR just hits different.

I truly have no patience for "criticizing a creative choice is disrespectful" as a statement. If you can't tell the difference between sending hate or harassing creators/fans, vs. saying "I didn't like this and here's why" you are an idiot. And on the flip side if you're a creator and someone says "I didn't like this" without any sort of personal attacks or hate involved, simply on the basis of critique and personal preference, and that makes you feel bad enough to stop creating then maybe you should step back and either get offline or make room for someone who has an actual creative vision that isn't "I want everyone to like me."
