If you’re romancing Shadowheart as Dark Urge, our girl is straight up insane for bringing them to that lake in her big romance scene. Like not even three nights ago they were thrashing around on the ground desperate to tear her limb from limb and she’s taking them to a body of water. Alone. And she can’t swim. Like yeah love conquers all you can defeat the darkness in you blah blah blah but a LAKE? ALONE? Swimming skill level 0???? Like I get that I’ve never had a down bad situationship with a serial killer before, but we need some self-preservation here, Ms. Shart. Why not try a picnic first? In the middle of camp? Just keep the others like within a reasonable distance lmao anything to avoid the potential for spontaneous drowning😭

I can just imagine after years of being together he finally accidentally says it those stupid three words and the general chaos that follows. Especially if this happens pre-relationship, and this is the way he "confesses" (although it was very much unintentional.)

You two maybe decided to study out in the wilderness this time, you found a nice spot with a good view and you brought along some snacks too. It really wasn't any different from the previous times, it was simply the normal banter between you two. But eventually, time runs on and before you know it, it's nighttime, the stars are out, and obviously you two can't study anymore. Zandik is ready to head back to the dorm, but you want to stay out for just a bit longer, to bask in this current moment, and of course, he obliges despite his eye-rolling. So you two just lay there and watch the stars, you occasionally filling in the silence, saying dumb things and giggling at his reaction.

And Zandik didn't know what hit him, he hadn't noticed how lovely you looked until now, the stars of the sky illuminating your pretty face, highlighting your smile and gentle eyes, soft lips that spew stupid, loving things toward him that are also wholly idiotic. And Zandik doesn't realize in that moment how he mumbles how he doesn't know why he loves you. He doesn't realize he said that out loud until he notices your wide-eyed expression, mouth ajar, words stuck in your throat.

Needless to say, he's leaving the situation in record time. You have to grab his ankle to restrain him from trying to leave all while he curses (whether at you or not gets mixed up incoherently) as you have to quite literally yell out your love for him in return because he refuses to speak to you. (Fluff ensues, you get the point, he's definitely grouchy in the aftermath and ignored you a bit, because boy, he did NOT want to let his stupid feelings for you slip.)

Did he really spoil the moment, though?

So I'm writing a sidlinkyona fanfic-

@pseudocyance gave me the idea to post it on Tumblr, and I'll post it in chapters!

Without further ado, here is chapter 1 of Water and Wishes!

It was a moonlit night in Hyrule, and Link was all alone. Hyrule had already been saved, and Link's obligation to save Hyrule had been broken. The hero was still yearning for someone however, and that someone was a certain king of the Zora.

Sidon was his best friend—and even though Link wanted to just think of him as that—he couldn't suppress the feeling of love for him. It didn't help that Sidon was already engaged to Yona. Even if Link wanted to ask Sidon to be his lover, he couldn't because the king already loved Yona. Link wasn't mad at either of them; he just wanted to love Sidon.

Link couldn’t help but glance at Sidon's avatar, which was standing watch beside him. It was his best friend in spirit, but it wasn't really him. It wasn't Sidon; Link would have to go to the domain to see the real king. Why did he feel like this? What made Sidon so… different from everybody else?

Link could only wonder as he sat by the water of Lake Hylia. He looked over at Sidon's avatar again, and he sighed softly.

“Why do you have to be so… perfect?” Link asked Sidon's avatar. “Why do you have to be the greatest guy I've ever met?”

Sidon's avatar didn't respond, as it was just his spirit. Why did everything have to be so difficult? Link's mind then drifted to thoughts of what it would be like if Sidon loved him. It would be wonderful to be loved by him in Link's opinion. Sidon was just so dreamy to Link.

Meanwhile, Sidon was alone with Yona in their room in the Zora Palace. They were madly in love with each other, even though their marriage was arranged by their fathers. Sidon and Yona were perfect for one another, but Sidon still felt incomplete. He too loved Link—and he knew that Yona wouldn't mind—but he didn't want to tell her. Yona herself had a hunch that Sidon was head over fins for Link, as she noticed that Sidon spoke of him so fondly and often.

“Sidon, dear, is there anything you'd like to tell me?” Yona asked, a smug smile on her face.

“What? No, everything is fine!” Sidon responded. “Though I have to tell you that I'm so glad to have you as my queen.”

“You do know that you can tell me anything, right dear? Is there anything you'd like to tell me about Link?”

“Anything other than that he is my best friend?”

“Yes, Sidon. I already know that. It's just that you seem very enamored by him.”

“Enamored? What do you mean, Yona?”

“You love him, Sidon. I know that you do.”

“What? No! I can't love him, I already love you so much!”

“You can love more than one person, Sidon. I don't mind that you love him, I just want you to be happy. He's a charmer I must admit, and I can see why you love him so much.”

“You've caught me red-handed, Yona. I do love Link. You really don't mind?”

“No, I don't mind one bit, Sidon. We should have a picnic with him soon, so that we can both confess our feelings to him and have a nice conversation.”

“That sounds perfect, Yona. You are the best queen I could ever ask for!”

“And you're the best king that I could hope for, Sidon.”

headcanon for Douglas x Oliver. And also, Douglas is so beautiful

Ohhhh yes, Douggie and Oliver, I think I've got at least a few for them! x'D Buckle up, I'm boutta ramble LOLL ~ Headcanons for 10x11 ~ - They were pretty much smitten when they first met; Douglas thought Oliver was incredibly brave, strong and "an enterprising engine", while Oliver, ofc, was extremely grateful to Douglas for his rescue.

(Also cuz I mean look at "Escape", did you see the way they looked at each other? Instantly smitten for sure. xD) - Toad was/is the ultimate wingman (or wingvan?) for them.

-Things were a little rocky at first; Oliver was still unpacking quite a traumatic experience and dealing with a rough-ish start on Sodor. And he struggles with the nagging question of whether or not he liked Douglas because of who he was or just because he rescued him.

-Though it's a little awkward and uncertain, once they overcome the initial bumps and start talking they hit it off very well, easily becoming good friends. After that everything just sort of... falls into place.

-Literally everyone knew they liked each other (there were many a gushing rant from both of them about the other lol). - They don't really use "pet names" for each other. Though Oliver is one of only two engines on the island that's allowed to call Douglas "Douggie".

-Ironically, Oliver is way more protective of Douglas then vice versa, though Douglas does still have his moments.

-They spend whatever time they can get together just... talking. They talk endlessly about anything and everything. They love sharing in each others experiences, both past and present, and enjoy a solid sense of comradery.

-They understand each other better then almost anyone else, especially when it comes to their fears about scrap. They know they can always confide in the other about pretty much anything.

Their favourite things about each other are;

Douglas about Oliver: His determination, his unbreakable spirit, how reliable and trustworthy he is. Plus he's got such an adorable face. (and eyes that are very easy to get lost in xD)

Oliver about Douglas: His husky laugh (especially with the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles), the way he laughs at pretty much anything, how level-headed and patient he is, and especially that softer, sentimental side to him.

-Donald still teases Douglas to no end about "makin' goo-goo eyes at wee Ollie", but he's still incredibly supportive. He's mostly just happy his brother found someone who makes him so happy. uwu

-Donald has also told Oliver exactly what he'd do if he hurts his brother, but they were mostly just jokes... mostly. xD

There's probably more but it's safe to say that I think they're absolutely adorable! x'3

They can really understand each others traumas and experiences, and I 100% see them as just one of the sweetest, most affectionate, couples. (At least as far as trains can go xD)

But aw yeah, Douggie is quite a cutie, isn't he? <3

Just had to doodle him after all that LOLL

And one of these days I'll get around to drawing them together... probably. xD
