i said this in a rb already but its important so im giving it its own post too. i think a lot of people are underestimating the importance of the "bag of knives" comment from wwwy night 2. a lot of people think it was just "gerard being gerard" or some silly intro to sleep, but (whether or not it was a true story, and the likelihood that it was is high), its a very real feeling that tons of people have. a lot of people are in so much pain and are so angry at the world, others, themselves, their circumstances, etc that they want something horrific to happen to them or to people they love so that they have an excuse to be violent and outwardly angry.

before i left home to go to school, every single time i had to go have dinner with my father i hoped he would say something awful so i could yell at him, and every time i had to spend a weekend at his house i hoped he would try to hit me or my brother again so i could kill him. i dont know if, had he done it, i wouldve been able to, but its something i thought about every single day for probably 5 years.

its just been the last few days, after gerard talking about it, that i realized how scary that actually is (and how i probably wouldve gotten my ocd diagnoses earlier if id thought to share this with anyone), and i just really hope people are understanding that this is not only a serious topic, but a very very real one that may be effecting someone in your life, or that it may effect you one day and that, if it does, its okay to feel that way and its okay to reach out for help if it scares you.

i probably have more to say about this but its so overwhelming to think about that im gonna end this here
