JOKES ON YOU I'VE NEVER TOUCHED WARRIOR CATS and yes I did like BATIM when it was big

I love seeing people’s picrew art styles because you can just look at them and be like

“You read homestuck and it was a big part of your life for a few years, you’re not into steven universe but you did watch it, and you had an intense black butler phase in middle school and doodled their eyes over and over again in your spiral notebooks”

i don't know how much of a stretch it is to say this, but since the erins (the authors of warrior cats) are british, i feel now and then like some of the plot points in the two earliest series are HEAVILY inspired by the misadventures of our stuarts. there might be some other stuff from history they've taken inspiration from, but obv i've only ever caught this stuff bc i unfortunately do like the stuarts best. tragic i know

even if they're not directly inspired by it, some events feel uncannily similar to history, as well as some character arcs! there's no super obvious direct parallels, but i will say that, just maybe:

-Tallstar, the leader of WindClan, has a whole situation in The Prophecies Begin series that kind of echoes the English Civil Wars and the subsequent Restoration with how he and his loyal Clan are driven out of the forest, but then return, and Tallstar has to fight to keep his territory and prove himself to the other Clans.

-surprisingly, Tallstar has TWO Charles II moments! as he lies dying, he names someone else deputy, meaning he chooses someone else to replace him after he dies... which obviously makes the former deputy, Mudclaw, furious. he'd been preparing to replace Tallstar, he had served him well as deputy, and now some other cat gets the honor? now this would be kind of a tenuous link to how Charles refused to make Monmouth his heir, but he didn't decide that on his deathbed... however he DID decide to become a Catholic, in a sense taking his brother's side, as always, in the end. it's just... the parallels of some odd decisions made right before you die.

-now Mudclaw gets his own Monmouth arc! like Monmouth, he ends up forming his own little army and rebels against the new leader of the Clan, Onestar-- only to fail and then get killed in the process. tho Onestar did not personally have Mudclaw executed. if i'm remembering correctly, a bolt of lightning hit a tree and fell on Mudclaw, which everyone interpreted as Onestar having the approval of StarClan (the kitty deities) to rule. essentially, divine right!

-now we veer off here to speak about some earlier plots... personally I think Brokenstar's, and then Tigerstar's, quests to rule the whole forest are kind of Louis coded

-even the personal feud between Tigerstar and Firestar, the main character who is an ORANGE CAT, kind of feels like the whole 'mortal enemies' thing with Louis and William respectively.

-however! Tigerstar himself has a few James II moments/arcs. I think the most notable one is when he is exiled from his birth Clan by being defeated by Fireheart, said orange cat (a warrior at the time), and is forced to join a Clan across the Thunderpath (a road). from there he works to get revenge on Firestar and waging war using his new Clan. obviously this feels a lot like the Glorious Revolution, where James is exiled and flees across the water to France, where he consistently tries and fails to get his throne back. the only difference is Tigerstar became leader of his new Clan.

-Tigerstar actually had an alliance with the old leader of his new Clan, Brokenstar, to get back at the Clan that exiled him, which reminds me of the James-Louis alliance. things do obviously work out a little different here... which is good, bc i do not want to think about Louis being blinded and murdered and James taking over France, as metal as that is.

-Tigerstar's arc in the afterlife in which he tries to influence his children in his birth Clan by walking in their dreams reads a bit like James' relationship with his daughters, particularly Mary.

-now... I hesitate to compare Mary to Brambleclaw, the son that Tigerstar manipulated, bc I FUCKEN HATE THAT GUY, but they check off everything! Brambleclaw struggles with his admiration for Firestar while also wanting to learn from his father. this is all while Firestar doesn't know if he can trust Brambleclaw bc he is his enemy's son. their relationship is more like father-son here, but it does feel a bit like William and Mary. Mary does genuinely fall in love with William, but she still feels guilty after driving off her father... and ofc we can't forget that at first, William was more distant towards her (understatement of the century but the point still stands). eventually Brambleclaw decides to turn away from the influence of his father and remains loyal to Firestar and his Clan, much like how Mary loved William enough to feel like she could ultimately handle anything with him at her side.

-so Tigerstar actually had two mates... much like James had two wives. with his first mate, Goldenflower, he had Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt, like James had his first two daughters with Anne Hyde. with his second mate, Sasha (a former kittypet), Tigerstar had two more kids! well actually he had three but one died in a flood. the two kids that survived are Hawkfrost and Mothwing. a bit like how James had James Francis Edward Stuart and Louisa Maria with Mary of Modena! a key difference here is that Goldenflower did not die, she was alive and well, raising her children when Tigerstar (then Tigerclaw) was exiled. he literally just left her! and then he was rather abusive towards Sasha... who was rlly unhappy to find out about all the atrocities her mate has been committing. quite unlike Maria, who stuck around anyway (tho it wasn't like she would have had a choice).

-Hawkfrost himself, Tigerstar's son with his second mate, doesn't actually feel so much like our alleged warming pan baby. like yes, his character follows the path of someone trying to reclaim the lost glory of his father, and rule the forest simply because he believes he has a right to after all the ways Tigerstar was wronged... but also, goddamn he's just too cartoonishly evil!! and he dies in a horrible way, killed by our Mary-equivalent Brambleclaw, which actually would have been kind of metal historically, two half-siblings duking it out.... ANYWAY. surface level, at least, it is very similar. that is, if BOTH William and Mary had lived to see James II die and then to fight his son off.

-i will say this about Firestar, our supposed William parallel: Firestar is IMPOSSIBLY kind and everyone likes him, also he's allegedly very handsome. he may be an orange foreigner who follows a closely similar arc but oh god he acts NOTHING like William. to find someone like William i say we look at someone else in a completely different Clan, going through his own completely separate troubles, away from the main story-- that would be Crookedstar. his whole arc is quite different from William's real story, but i think the basic pieces are there: disabled, generally unlikable cat grows up believing it's his destiny to rule his Clan, and, as a result of that destiny, he ends up losing everything he ever loved. they both still manage to find a few joys in between all of the despair, but their whole life is kind of tragic tho at times you kind of want to throw them in a river (Crookedstar at least would be able to swim out, as the leader of RiverClan, not so sure about William).

I got like 11 minutes of ads to earn crowns. Did not know I could get that many before I stopped getting them.

The amount of progress I made since being diagnosed with autism, depression and anxiety. Even if I stopped going to therapy, I feel like the diagnosis (esspecially the autism one) shed so much light on my life, and I was able to makes the world around me (even if just at home) more confortable for myself by understanding myself more and adjusting the way I do things so it's easier on me.

Hmmmmm let's see- the Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children series, obviously, but I also LOVE The Book Thief, American Gods and definetely Warrior Cats (I only read the first arc, so Idk how good's the rest xD)

My Rise! Venus and Jennika

The girlies<333 @roninreverie is the origin of the big brain idea of Venus getting adopted by Grandpa Sho and Jennika Big Mama's Assistant and the mystic abilities

I chose Kemp Ridley turtle for Venus because I liked how similar its color scheme was to idw Venus, I didn't realize until looking at roninreverie's Venus that she was the same turtle species so I tried making Jennika a different one by making a list of semi-aquatic turtles (to reference how the fandom like to make BM's assistant a slider like Leo) then narrowing that list down to 7(because I had 7 sea turtles to choose from for Venus) then using a random name picker to narrow it down to 3 and chose from there

And then

I ended up choosing a painted turtle.

THE SAME SPECIES AS RONINREVERIE'S

I DIDN'T RELAIZE TILL I WAS TRYING TO DECIDE COLOR PALLETTE FOR HER AND LOOKING AT RONINREVERIE'S FOR INSPO AND READ HER REF SHEET AGAIN AUGH

I was in too deep to change it tho, it was just written in the stars Rise! Jennika is to be a painted turtle I guess (this reminds of when I shipped Mikey with my spider guy oc and discovered MilesxMikey a few days later)

I didn't mean to give her gyaru like makeup but now that I think about it I think I think she'd love that kind of subculture

Her cloaking brooch form looks like a mix of Yoshi and Atsuko, which if Sho had been alive to see would really fuck him up me thinks

Her mystic ability is water bending!

She's also a really strong martial artist, had a pilgrimage to China to learn Kung Fu (also tie in to prev incarnations being raised Chinese)

While she grew up knowing Hamato traditions and Hamato ninpō, she stopped practicing when Grandpa Sho passed away out of fear she wouldn't/would contact his spirit and that's when she went on a warrior's pilgrimage to China

Hence why she was unaware of her brother's and Splinter's existence and Shredder's defeat

Can lift Raph in one hand

Wears her ninja mask occasionally, because she sometimes wacks herself in the face with the braid but refuses to get rid of it

Somehow both the most clumsy and graceful of the turtles

Has confused/complicated feelings about Splinter, he's technically her dad but also the grandson that shirked his duties for "Hollywood Land" and causd great pain to her beloved Grandpa Sho

But also was kidnapped and then mutated and had to raise 4 baby mutants on his own so who's to say if he would have stayed away forever or tried to reach out

She grew up with an image of Yoshi that would have been like a wayward big brother or cousin to her

And then it turns out that that's her dad which is a big Hm. moment for her

Older than Raph but younger than the elder sisters of the Hamato Clan

Assassin and Big Mama's Assistant

She teaches Elisabetta poisons

Uses tekkō-kagi and senbon

Not a fan of the ninja masks and only wore it because of a x5 puppy dog eyes from her siblings

Her human form looks like a mix of Karai and Atsuko, and I have her 12 Karai's hair style because it is a Look

Similar to a dad not wanting a pet and then becoming obsessed with it, she wasn't super into being a family with the turtles at first but is now ride or die for them that she hides under her bad girl attitude

Mikey knows

Donnie looks up to her the most, for he too holds the bad boy image (lies)

Her existence was a big driving force for Big Mama's redemption arc like how Mikey was for Draxum and Kimie for Sho(although I don't think he really needed one)

She thinks of Splinter more as her mom's ex(?) Boyfriend than her dad. And the less said about Draxum the better, her and Leo have roast sessions about him

Golden web mystic ( think spiderman)

Like a cat in how she bonds with her family, very private and not very social but she enjoys simply spending time in their presence with no interaction

While Kimie makes Plautilla her middle name like how the boys have their colors/Japanese names as middle names Míng Huì views Artemisia as her nickname rather than a new name hence the quotations

Speaking of their artist's names; they picked them out as a sort of bonding activity with the boys+April, to get them closer as siblings.

Plautilla's favorite nephew is Eijirou as they both rock tessen and are heavy hitters, tanks and gentle souls; while Artemisia doesn't actually really have a favorite and likes her nieces and nephews equally, although she spends the most time with Sandro and Elise because they spend the most time with Big Mama out of the next gen kids and she has the most things in common with those two.

Once Ingo is actually able to BREATH again (Please Emmet, he can only take so much, his sides hurt), he'll be equally smitten by the lil alpha babies and OOOOO the POSSIBILITIES!!!!! He might not be as breeder-savy as Emmet, but he can spot a good combo when he sees one, and with how strong Galvantula is (like... yknow, outside of the games lol), how will this translate into Alphas? How does it mix with Gliscor? What, indeed, are the possibilities?

Princess will be a beautiful lil monster who will grow up to properly destroy the Battle Subway with a single Earthquake and thus forever earn her place as Ingo's favorite (....okay it's like a 15-way tie, but the point still stands!).

i wish Twigbranch and Larksong had an actual relationship as foster siblings. we could've had rly interesting drama with those two when Larksong and Sparkpelt wanted skyclan to leave. plus i think it would be a fun parallel to Spark and Alder. while i think Sparkpelt and Alderheart would reconcile like in cannon, i don't think Twig and Lark would. her feeling torn between her foster and bio family, and feeling betrayed by Larksong would be so fun to read about honestly.

going into asc, i think Twigbranch could have a neat relatonship with Nightheart. like that's her mentor and her brother's kid. not to mention a brother who she never made up with. a lot of ppl have been speculating that Nightheart will leave thunderclan. which, if he does, i could def see Twigbranch being one of his biggest supporters in his decision. she swapped clans like 3 times, so she knows the feeling. idk man! i just want more relationships in warriors! i want cats to have more complex opinions on eachother! rly hoping we see more of that in the upcoming arc

She/they.

they come from a family who where sailors and they would often take her with her on the trips. This helped grow their love for the sea. It let her grow her talent of navigating the world using the stars and compiss. (neither work in the nether that well). When there was nothing to be done in the ship her mother often braided her hair in extravagant ways. You will often find them beading their friends hair as a love language or their own unknowingly.

she became a shadow Knight when one night the crew was attacked by shadow knights in an attempt to take back something valuable. (Idk yet). her father fought the best he could but was eventually thrown overbored and drowned. The brother watched also fighting as she cowered and hid. If they helped their father the father would still be alive to this day. The brother hates the his sibling for what they didn't manage to do. But she also died and was taken by the Shadow Knight's .

in the nether they met this nice young fellow and became friends with him (he's an OC I just have no idea what he looks like or anything). she ran away but this other girl ( btw the girl kins Ivrypool from warrior cats not the recent books tho havent read them) Also a shadow Knight and they are gay for each other.

they look a lot different and once while going back to her ship they caught their brother telling and warning her about these terrible creatures of red eyes and fury. It was brought up because he mentioned that they looked a lot like his sibling. he the goes on to say that he thinks that his sibling might be a shadow knight. This of course gets her interest. he then asks her to make her a promise and then she agrees. The brother tells them, out of pity for his sibling and rage that she betrayed them , that if they ever come across them to kill them.

I would do more but I'm too tired. Sorry for any tipos. If y'all have any asks about this character I will honestly go rabid (in a good way,) I don't even know how to see if I got any asks tho lmao...

I'm just...so in love with the concept of normal unassuming cats being sent on a journey, learning the best route to take and all these skills they'll need while also forming bullet proof bonds with their traveling companions, then coming home and having to shoulder the responsibility of leading their communities to a new home entirely while also battling their own faith, the destruction of their old home, and the death and starvation of their friends and family, and even tho erin hunter kinda balled it up completely I'm still just. ugh. what a good fucking concept.

man tho like. in all this time while squilf was having her character arc, it felt like nothing was going on with leaf except the whole keeping the journey cats purpose a secret for...some reason. it could have been really cool to see the sisters grow alongside each other through their separate struggles, esp after being attached at the hip (which I wish we'd been shown more of just to contrast how they felt when apart)

the fact that firestar waited so long to name a new deputy despite thunderclan needing the leadership so badly is just another reason why firestar is a bad leader. in this essay I will

concept: cinderpelt being a med cat is oft said to be a alteration of her destiny. casting aside the ableism that points to her injury forcing her to be a med cat, what if because she chose a path she was never meant to take it threw things a bit out of wack, and her connection with starclan is fucky? hence why the prophecy about fire and tiger destroying the clan ends up being bullshit because she couldnt interpret it correctly

like the concepts of destiny and who is bound by it in the series is always only mentioned and never explored and it's crazy interesting what someone could do if they rewrote warriors and instead explored themes of destiny and fate

Mistyfoot has long since been my favorite character in Warriors, (originally I liked her as a child bc she reminded me of my aunt who is named Misty but besides the point) and I love her characterization in your fics. How does Mothwing's atheism and Mistystar's reaction to it play out in your fic, if it plays out at all?

it's...complicated.

i'm always tweaking my own understanding of mothwing's atheism, because like. i don't know i was talking with a friend about her as well as atheism and the nature of religion and.

okay on topic: atheism is not like. at least in the us, we tend to think of atheism as like...a monolith? there is a way to be atheist. it means one thing. but that's not true? heck, i'm an atheist and i'm also like. have a religion. life and people are complicated.

so. you know like. what does it mean for mothwing to be atheist? that's not really relevant to this conversation, i just like to bring it up.

what is relevant is: the whole mistystar's omen thing just Doesn't happen. like. yeah Mistystar Would Definitely Forcibly Retire Mothwing /s

mothwing doesn't have the same relationship to religion as she does in canon. i have a pretty good sense of what she believes in (my) canon atm, but that's what she learns from sasha. it's not applicable here. the only religion she'd be exposed to is the clans' religion.

which. is so much more than just starclan. the clans are...similar to medieval england in how much religion is a part of their life. i actually think that's a good comparison. like, religion is the framework of their everything. the king/leader gets their authority from god/starclan, and even if they're Kind of above the church/medicine cats, they're also not in a lot of ways.

but at the same time, your average peasant/warrior isn't thinking of religion the way we do now in the us. i'm not going to do a great job of explaining this, because i've tried and i don't, but you know. if you're a peasant, you go to church because it's what you do. the service is in latin, you don't understand it. there is a holy day. you might sleep in the church if you lose your home/are travelling, or go there for medical care.

it's a very good analogy for the clans tbh. (i think honestly, the clans are deeply reminiscent of feudal england. for good and bad. that's a different subject tho.)

so with that in mind, mothwing is a religious leader and authority, regardless of what she believes. like her role in her community is far beyond "i get omens and prophecies," it's also her job to perform various ceremonies and rain stuff and announce the changing of the seasons and all sorts of things.

(to be clear for anyone who's new here, this is my own worldbuilding bc otherwise the role of medicine cat doesn't make sense, but again, that's a different topic.)

so. i don't actually generally disagree with mistystar's omen in Theory. i didn't enjoy it, but i think the concept of it would have been fine, the erins just don't seem to have a very good understanding of how atheism works in a society without science and with a religion that's deeply tied to every aspect of culture.

which is. bad. it's Understandable but like. god. i was raised in...i don't know what the best words to describe it are? but i was raised in a church that's very different to american evangelicalism, and at one point i was having a conversation with someone about how i went to a meeting of the church elders with a few other kids my age to discuss a pride banner

and he just. couldn't comprehend that. because i was like 12 at the time. and i don't think he had a confirmation? i don't think he had the concept of like. writing an essay about your faith to read in front of the deacons. i don't know. anyway i'm getting off-topic but i swear this is relevant.

so okay but. the thing is. when i understood that fundamental difference, his reaction to MY behaviours started to make a lot more sense. like, he didn't understand my relationship to authority, because we had a very different upbringing in that sense.

and most people i went to high school with were with him. like, the concept of. i don't know. it's not that i have a disrespect for authority, it's that every way i was raised says that authority isn't innately respectful. like, i was Encouraged to challenge my parents if i thought they were wrong.

there was a time when i got really angry with a teacher because of a reason that's a whole different story, but everyone was like, "well, matthew, he's the teacher so..." but the thing is that was just not how i was raised. i was raised in, we are all on the same footing. and yes, this is deeply tied to religion,

because these values come from religion.

so the point of this is even after i...became? idk? even after i started calling myself an atheist, that value and background didn't disappear. and a lot of it is deeply religious.

so: you know, mothwing meets with her father in the dark forest. it's not like she doesn't believe that she's meeting with him. it's just that she doesn't ascribe it to the clan's belief system.

and in that way, you know, as a medicine cat, she's still going to. do the religious tasks associated with her. (the concept of religion as a tool to explain things that are good for survival is yet another topic.)

ANYWAY TO THE ACTUAL POINT: how does mistystar tie into all of this?

well, pretty well, actually. mistyfoot struggles a lot with her relationship to starclan. she feels like starclan has failed her. and when feathertail goes on the prophecy quest, and mistyfoot realizes that like, feathertail was chosen because the tribe had a prophecy that feathertail was supposed to fulfill, that knowing that feathertail was going to die, starclan still chose her

mistyfoot is Quite Reasonably Pissed

but you know. it's not like the cats understand evolution. so rejecting starclan ("atheism") is not the same thing as rejecting all of the clans' religious beliefs.

mistystar and mothwing have very similar relationships to religion. they both struggle with starclan's failure to protect cats, as well as feeling rejected by starclan for various reasons.

so.

1- how many books are too many books in a serie

Well I read Warrior Cats for a long time so I’d say that im pretty tolerant in that front 😂 but tbh, I think I could get colds feet if I learned a serie i want to begin have at least 10 books… all in all, though, I really love being able to explore more the world and the characters, I just have to be sure I will like it!

2- what do you think about cliffhangers?

I love a good cliffhanger when it jut keeps me at the edge of my feet and makes me say « omg that was brillant! » but I prefer books that end by taking their time detailing the fall out of the action and the end of characters arcs.

3- hardback or paperback?

Paperback all the way! Hardback are generally more esthetically pleasing but it just get worn out so easily and I’m not the best book keeper :(

4- least favorite book?

I’m not gonna be very original here and say Harry Potter and the Curse Child but I really can’t think of a book I disliked more than that. Everything has already been said about it, so I won’t extend too much, but yeah I was so excited to read it only for it to end up being some poor attempt at a badly written OOC fanfic. Even without the HP context, there are still so many pacing issues and characters inconsistencies. Scorpius and Albus are cute tho.

5- Love Triangle, yes or no?

I’m not that against it as most people seem to be, as I do think it can be done well. There are just certain thing that should be absent from it, like when 2 people who were super close completely turn against eachother for someone they just met because this person is just SO SPECIAL, when it’s only there to stall a relationship from happening even if it does not make sense and that we all already know who will be endgame, or when it completely takes over the otherwise very interesting characters/plot. I also hate when after having it been drained out for so long, person A does not even have to make a choice in the end because one of the two who fight for them dies/leaves. It really feels like the author simply didn’t have the guts to actually follow through besides stirring things up. It could be cool if : the two opposites actually end up together (hi lok), if it ends with all three together, or person A single. Or if it simply has more purpose than just DRAMA!

6- the most recent book you just couldn’t finish

« L’homme qui rit » de Victor Hugo. Look, it’s a fucking VICTOR HUGO book, no one can judge me! This dude could spend pages after pages detailing a facet of a snowflake! But I am determined and I WILL finish this damn book. Eventually.

« A quoi rêvent les étoiles » by Manon Fargetton. I’ve only seen positive reviews about it but I didn’t really like this book, altho there were some good parts. Initially I really thought it would be my cup of tea, as it is about 5 very different people having their own problems and finding eachother through pure coïncidence and helping eachother. But for one, the style was way to pretentious at times. It was like the author was trying to make a big philosophical point but it just fell flat for me. And the characters, aside from one, were all poorly handled. Either they were extremely unlikeable, completely unrelevant, or their arcs was very unsatisfying.

the one characters story that I hated the most was the one of Luce, an old woman who is in deep grief over her husband Lucien’s death. At the beginning she tries to kill herself to join him, but is stopped by one character, and over the course of story she learns to live without her husband, to rekindle with who she is and what she loves, and to form bonds with other people. Only to still kill herself in the end. While it could have been a tragic way of showing that one does not get out of depression that easily, we’re actually supposed to think it’s a good ending for her because she died in a «cooler » and more symbolical way and cleared up some unfinished business. Personally I hated that…

Welcome to the third part of my posts regarding Mochijun-sensei's official VnC artworks. This is just a continuation of the 2nd part (there will be no artworks to be discussed). I will just share some absurd ideas that I came up with after my realization (some may already be out there). If there's any chance that you stumbled to the prior post and decided to continue. I salute you brave warriors that assume I would mention anything that makes any sense. To those who have no time to read a post that only talked about Murr's eye color. Here's a summary: I realized Murr's right eye is not red.

By this time, we already know who is Murr. And I think we all agree that the cat is not just a cute mascot of the series. I bet that he would be a game-changer (yes, I'm putting Murr on a high pedestal). The question is: What do you think of Murr's role in the story?

Sensei is an observer. And where is the best place to observe? It's beside your subject of interest. Also, as his title suggests, he is shapeless, so maybe he could shapeshift into anything he wants. This sounds probable but, I do not lean on this much for two reasons.

Personal preference. If this is true, Sensei is weird, not terrifying. I mean, instead of doing scary and shady affairs during his free time, he decided to be a cat just to watch Noé.

Did you found Murr? No? Take a closer look at Louis. At first, I thought he was just reading, but his book has a weird shape. Where did I see that again? Oh, right.

I think the cat Louis' holding is Murr. Thus, there's a panel where Sensei and Murr are together. That's the second reason I'm skeptical about this theory, folks.

Well, we also don't know. Maybe grandpa killed the cat so he could disguise himself as one.

2. Murr is a spy camera of Grandpa De Sade

It's a simple one. The theory goes like this: Murr's right eye connects to Sensei in whatever way. This panel is what inspires this theory:

This theory is what I'm more inclined to believe. I suppose the cat is working under/with Grandpa for their grand schemes. So, of course, he would report to Sensei the events that took place. Whether he is using his right eye or whatever means it is.

Going to my personal thoughts...

I guess that Murr was a kin of the vampire of the blue moon. He used the power too much, and thus he was rewritten from the inside. Alas, Murr became a cat! Why is he heterochromatic, tho?

Ok, kidding aside, there are two ideas I want to share.

1. Possibly Twins

Mochijun-sensei dropped the bomb in chapter 46. She gave us the idea that the theme of twins would be relevant in the story. Here is the page where Veronica mentioned the thing about twins:

Then three chapters later when Misha forced Noé to drink his blood and reveal his memory. Mochijun-Sensei dropped another bomb.

After seeing this, we speculated that Faustina and Luna are twins. I love that thought. Just imagine how complex the relationship it would be between the two. But if we think about it. What if this is just a misdirection? First, Mochijun-sensei makes us aware that the subject of twins is somewhat important. And while that information is still fresh in our memory, she dropped another bomb and told us that the blue vampire and the queen looked alike. Mochijun-sensei set this up so that we could connect the two easily.

All we know is that: Vampire twins are a symbol of bad luck, and Luna looks like Faustina. This is just me overthinking things, but what's life without competition. So, let's add three more names to the list that could be a set of twins.

Murr and Luna: Because why not? His left eye is blue. Also, Luna's left eye was never shown in the series. It's always hidden by her hair, maybe it's a different color.

Noé and Luna: Let's just say he is older than the series claimed him to be. Noé's memory started on the day that it snowed. I believe that Mochijun-sensei is keeping the timeline vague since it would reveal too much information. I mean, we don't know how long time passed from the day Noé was found by the old couple to the day Sensei brought him to the castle in the forest. Keep in mind that the vampire's growth differs for each person, as well.

Also, is the story the Noé and Sensei told trustworthy?

(How kind are this kidnappers that the kid was not traumatized? Also what's with the injuries. I don't much about slave trading in VnC world. But, if you're going to sell something you don't want it to have visible damage right. Sorry if the comparison sounds offending)

As far as I could tell, Sensei is shady, like really. Noé's memory is also not reliable. After all, someone out there may have the ability to manipulate memories. What if Noé was was born ages ago and was induced to sleep for a long time for whatever reasons?

Going back to Noé and Luna. Mochijun-sensei is giving us subtle hints of his association with Luna. I only saw Luna from one chapter, but I could say they are somewhat similar aside from the hair and skin(?) color (I will make a list later if I still have of time on hand).

Go on, read chapter 49, you'll see what I mean. Also, take note that at some panels (especially the ones where Noé is feeling extreme emotions), Noé's left eye was hidden by his hair or something. Who else out there that we don't see her left eye? Yup, the vampire of the blue moon (I have a weird feeling about Noe's left eye that I will share later) To conclude this, I think that Noé was not from this era. He is actually from the past and preserved in whatever way from whatever reason. And maybe he is actually the twin brother of Luna, seeing that they have a resemblance.

For now, I won't say that he's a reincarnation of Luna (I may change my mind later) as the timeline doesn't coincide. Besides, human Vani's reaction when Misha told him that there's a way to revive Luna is intense. Meaning he wants Luna to stay dead. I also believe that human Vani is hiding "something" he knows about Noé. So if Noé's a reincarnated Luna, there's no way human Vani would stay with him.

Murr and Noé

If you saw my previous post. I convinced myself that Murr's right eye's color is violet (the same shade as Noé's). That's why I decided to include them here. I have no definitive reasoning aside from their eye color and how Murr treated Noé in the series.

In the meantime, I'll write the scenario in my head. What if Murr and Noé are twins. Something happened when they were young, and so they were separated. Noé was somewhere we don't know yet, while Murr encountered Vampire Vanitas and Grandpa DeSade. Then the rest is history.
