House: canonically does a ton of shit like piano/guitar/cooking/so on but In the spirit of him resisting change (At Times!) I think he’s gotten very good if not makes a fun time out of mending clothes🥺…. Didn’t wanna throw away his favorite shirts so it started w small hems+resizings until he looked up more tips online and get decorative w it. Pretty contrasting colors/patterns now randomly laid on his shirts and pants w only the careful eye(Cuddy+Wilson) to notice. If anyone cares

Wilson: gardening. Well as much one can do within his apartments/pretty nonplant friendly homes. He’s not a super greenthumb expert but it always gives him a lil confidence boost when he’s able to grow out spices and herbs & such to use in his cooking ♥️

Cuddy: she seems like a collage-making kind of girlie💗💗 no specific theme in em or anything but she still holds onto the potential self-aid of making vision boards and it’s relaxing for her to go thru magazines/etc + cut out whatever interests her enough to use. Rachel tries and cutely fails to help 💓💓💓

Chase: ironically enough for the prodigal son lol but . He genuinely seems like someone who enjoys spending time in silence/music doing puzzles w 1000+ pieces & such #DWEEB❤️. House once got him a 5000 piece puzzle of a kangaroo or w/e as a joke and he is Determined to complete it. In due time chase…

Foreman: the thought of Foreman crocheting is so dear to me….. he doesn’t rly tell anyone ab it but there’s a lot of half-finished + worn projects as proof around his home. #angsting it sorry but I think he took it up after his mom started deteriorating bc she crocheted too and it was a fonder reminder + sumn they could do together. One yr he gave the fellow ducklings scarves he made as Xmas gift. Not that he told him he made it tho😅#repressed

Cameron: I think she has a moderately sized zen garden on a table somewhere in her home she takes SERIOUS. Changes the lines/circles in the sand periodically, sees what new arrangement of rocks she can do etc etc. Girl that thing is meant to be relaxing!! also colorcodes/sticker-covers/etc her planner like a CHAMP.

Amber: she has the most well-detailed prettiest most concerning-when-read journal/diary everrrr. Dedicates a specific time in every day to it w specific pens of various colors. Some of the recounting even have lil doodles or if she takes the journal out w her she draws her view wherever she is<3 they’re literal chickenscratch but its still fun and fulfilling. It’s a bibleesque piece to Wilson’s Amber shrine btw

Thirteen: she’s hard to analyze for me soz 13heads I do love her #trust… nonetheless I bet she goes to hella dance classes. Partially for the exercise partially for the fun partially for the need to experience Life partially for the women. Heh. She’s rly into zumba, jazz, contemporary classes to be specific.

Taub: ok ok so remember when he did/bought pottery or w/e to convince his wife he was being faithful. I think he’d do it for real as a joke/alibi then be like wait…. This is kinda fun…? There’s no constraints to what he can make + the sculpting reminds him vaguely of plastic surgery work so he keeps it up.

Kutner: I think he draws + writes his own lil comics/zines 🫶 they’re mostly scifi or superhero and more than a lil inspired by his fave preexisting medias . He likes using the crazy cases he’s experienced w House as story inspo. Also he 4 sure runs dnd campaigns so well and fun. Btw

Masters: she’s a suckerrrr for trivia nights my lil nerd wife<3 but um anyway when she wants to relax she Really doesn’t want sumn that can become info overload so in free time she’ll make friendship bracelets, lil shapes/figures out of string, etc. Will someone please give this woman a full on loom to go cray with!!!!

Park: I can see it so clearly . I can see her lil handpainted warhammer and other tabletop game figures so perfectly in my head. She paints more than she actually plays(but she does !). God save you if you touch or tumble them.

Adams: I kinda DGAF about her sorry women… hmm there’s sumn compelling ab her doing blackout poetry plus occasionally full-on written when the inspo hits! started as a boredom thing in her job in the prison w whatever book she brought in then she kept on doing it w more and more written pieces she comes across.

I put so much time into this. Perhaps too much.😭feel free to gimme y’all’s thoughts on this/ur own ideas :3

17: I play with my hair ends. Like. A lot. So much so that my friends and co workers point it out. That and I pick at my cuticles and lip often!

23: yes I wear jewelry! I wear a charm necklace and a bracelet my aunt gave me for graduation! I also have a small collection of earrings that I wear on special occasions! My favorite are a pair of amber bee shaped earrings and my sliver crow skull ones!

Was thinking about my OC receiving gifts. The harmony goddess has their own museum or storage place for offerings, but their envoys have their own smaller rooms for their own offerings.

Not sure how rude it’d be to give away the gifts later for other people as a gift, kinda like re-gifting… But there isn’t a lot an immortal at peace with themself can do with objects.

I also thought to explain their bracelets as given gifts. Since my childhood OC is based after my childhood, they have a hot pink t-shirt and orange shorts, but also wear bracelets. I have a bunch of bracelets, but my favorite one was this brown and orange-ish and yellow bracelet with insects/bugs looking stuff in it. Though I’m certain now that that was quite literally amber. I broke it btw.

Amber: it's okay bc we're literally gonna have so much fun at whichever concert we go to together next. btw, if you happen to see my sister out and about, feel free to... not hurt her super bad, but like... bop her on the head or something. bc she thought it'd be funny to text me and make me think my understudy that night was a full-on disaster and teddy was upset with me for going to the concert instead!!! is she not the meanest sister ever?? Amber: omg thank you!! i truly was living in my little fearless moment! i even got a few compliments from swifties sitting near me! not to mention, a TON of friendship bracelets.

Charlie: I KNOW 🥺 i missed me at the concert too, it would have been so much fun but i at least got to live through you so i'll be fine. eventually. Charlie: and you looked GORG! you definitely made the right call with the yellow, it was perfect.

Magic in BotW: Gemstones

My other magic focused botw lore posts: Elemental Weapons, Elixir Medical Study,

The thing about the precious stones in botw is that they are (mostly) imbued with mysterious elemental power. It’s not like it’s unusual for gemstones to be associated with magic, mostly through magical rings, but it’s never really explained where this power comes from. Rocks just be like that I guess. They’re well utilized as tools for magic power, I mean, Ganondorf himself has a big one glued right to his forehead. I doubt it’s just for aesthetic purposes. I think that gemstones contain magic from the creation of Hyrule, specifically from Din who is known to be the creator of earth and easily the most associated with rocks. Also it would make sense that power includes different kinds of magical enchantments. 

Gems are also a major part of clothes for the great fairies, though this seems to be specific to botw, whether that be because the previous fairies were more connected to nature and thus wanted to be covered in only leaves, or were in a toon link game and weren’t allowed to have their tits out, or they’re in twilight princess where she only wears a miniskirt and that’s it. At least in botw, precious stones adorn the great fairies and are explicitly pointed out to contain certain kinds of magic. Also it’s worth mentioning that in Age of Calamity where they’re playable characters, their weapons are their jeweled magic bracelets so I guess that’s worth mentioning. 

Now let’s get into specifics. 

Amber: ‘it has been valued as a component in decorations and crafting since ancient times’, ‘a gem that harnesses the power of the land to increase your defense’, I don’t think “the land” just means the physical earth or the ground and rocks, I think it means the innate magic in Hyrule as a whole. In Skyward Sword, carved amber relics could be collected by Link, whether they were left behind by the predecessors to Hylians or the goddess herself is unknown, though the goddess seems to leave behind things in that purple metal. The reincarnation of Hylia slept in a  prison of amber, I think there is some connection between amber and the goddess herself. It’s also the gem that you use to upgrade the hero of time outfit set (and the Hylian set) which could be interesting to think about. Perhaps amber is symbolic of being forced to sleep for a really long time. 

Opal: ’Contains the power of water’ when used in jewelry it increases swim speed. (also used to upgrade the Zora and the Hero of the Winds sets) The hero choice makes sense, he’s the little ocean guy, and he’s definitely the one most associated with water. It’s one of the few gems with an effect that can’t be replicated with elixirs, it’s water magic is only found among the Zora. Perhaps they’re the origin of the opal's magic, as the Zora lose their power, the stones absorb it. Mipha was the only Zora we see with any kind of power, so it’s assumed that at the very least their power over water has diminished over the eons. 

Luminous Stone: Now this one is really interesting! Its blue glow is said to originate from ‘the souls of the dead’ which tracks because the spirit flame is a very similar color. The game actually has contradicting information on how it makes its way onto the radiant set (the only clothes it can be used to upgrade btw), the description for the stone itself states that it can be used as a ‘base for special clothing’ while the radiant set itself says that it’s both a dye and a paint made from the crushed up glowy rocks so I thought that was funny. Now back to the idea that these stones are connected to the dead to the point where some believe that they literally contain the souls of the dead. Are the spirits simply attracted to the stone? Are they trapped in them? Is there an energy that ghosts have that changes maybe flint into this mysterious rock? Join me next week for my theories on the Hylian afterlife. Also, it seems like Zora’s domain is at least partially made out of Luminous stone, as you help make repairs with them, but the stones don’t quite match up and there is some shiny blue rock in that area that’s more likely to be the real origin but it’s hard to know for sure. When used in the Radiant set, it gives the wearer the additional effects of being a disguise against monsters and an attack bonus with bone weapons. Funnily enough, the only other set with the same effects is the Phantom Ganon outfit which also features the bone aesthetic. Spooky… 

Topaz: ‘contains the power of electricity/lighting’ This one is less interesting, there isn’t a whole lot else to go off of, it’s used to upgrade the twilight hero set (I guess it matches that game’s color scheme? The twilight liked its use of gold…) and it’s used to upgrade the rubber armor, which could just be because it has the whole shock resistance thing or we could reach for a connection with the Zonai but there really isn’t a whole lot of evidence. 

Ruby: ‘contains the power of fire’ obviously, are you guys picking up a pattern here? Not only are the heating effects of the gem used in the circlet from the Gerudo, but it’s also featured in the snowquill headpiece, which I thought was interesting. The Rito aren’t known for their magical prowess, but I guess they don’t need to use it for themselves and only for travelers who don’t have feathers. It’s also used to upgrade the Hero set, (aka the one that imitates the look from the first games, the one with the short shorts that feature a little pixilated octorok), I actually think that version of Link is least associated with fire so this information probably isn’t important at all.  Probably… 

Sapphire: Guess what? It contains the power of Ice! Who could’ve guessed! This one seems like it’s the most used in clothing, it’s featured in all parts of the Gerudo Voe set with their descriptions pointing to that being how it stays cool. I mean it has to be something magic, I don’t think it’s a good idea to go out in the desert sun wearing that much metal. I also think that the Gerudo utilize unrefined sapphires in the stonework of the town to keep it cool, it can’t all come from the spring. Sapphires could also be how they keep the ice cool in the ice house. They’re also used to upgrade set for the Hero of the Sky. Why? Who knows, there wasn’t even an ice section in Skyward Sword, maybe they just thought, ha! Blue! The sky is also blue! Brilliant! Oh, also the three elemental gems are featured at the ends of the elemental weapons, maybe they assist in powering them with elemental magic or something. I also think they have something to do with the elemental tips of the arrows. Like they have a very different effect from other elemental things in the game? The arrowheads just don’t look or act the same as other elemental magical items and it’s frustrating to me, they have the same thing as the gems where they’re mysteriously ‘imbued with’ the element but there's nothing else about them like there are for the weapons. Also, they only activate when you draw them rather than being on and empowered all the time. It troubles me… There is definitely something weird going on with the arrows, I can tell you guys that much. 

Diamond: FInally another interesting one. Diamonds utilize the power of Light to defend against guardian attacks. You need them to remake the champion's weapons and I have a feeling it’s not just because their hard and highly valuable. I think that the champion's weapons were specifically upgraded to be used against the calamity with the only thing that contains the power of light that they had access to. I wish they had expanded upon diamonds and their connection to light magic, the only things with much association with light are dlc items from past games or Zelda’s bow of light. I think a crystalline aesthetic would be cool compared to what we got. Whatever I can add diamonds to my own designs that have to do with Hylia and light stuff, so if I design a light bow made of diamonds you know what inspired that decision lol.

oh my god there’s so many of them .. mila is definitely oranges and green tea. she uses green tea lotion, but the smells just remind me of her as a person since this is what we’re basing it on

i know we’re not really doing LITERAL scents, but hyeyoung unnie uses this givenchy perfume, l’interdit. it smells floral, but with spice. she reminds me of clean laundry and roses.

evie unnie is like paint. she’s an artist, so when i smell paint, i think of her. and champagne!! floral scents remind me of her as well, but bright floral scents, not the soft ones like hyeyoung. and rain. mixed bag

jaemin oppa reminds me of clean but slightly floral smells. i think if i had to pick a smell for him, it’d be this one aloe and rose toning spray i have. lavender is also a good one for him. calming smells

jeno oppa is like a soap? yknow just the regular body soap with no added scent? it still smells good and it’s just nice and familiar. also, like when something is baking in the oven on an early morning.

fullsun is like if you’re walking somewhere nice and catch a scent of some nearby flowers and freshy cut grass. the way summer days smelled when i was a child. i also would choose honeysuckle for him

renjun oppa is like a forest? he also reminds me of the smell of books, or paper. i’d also pick a beach, but on a cloudy day and there aren’t many people around and the air. he’s like nature

jisung reminds me of the summer nights smell where you have a bonfire. do you all know what i mean? i dunno, it just fits him! and he’s like a nice fresh smell. maybe like when the air smells colder.

chenle reminds me of a pool and i don’t know how to explain that. on another note, mint. he always has a bit of a minty smell in person, too, so that’s probably why. also cologne because he has a lot of it

mark oppa really reminds me of just... that comfortable home smell? and candles? i think amber and cashmere too... those warm, comfy scents. laundry and clean hair. nice smells. he doesn’t wear cologne btw but he always smells nice

SPOILERS (my stuff keeps showing up in the tag when i dont even tag it)

Jonah clearly started his attack the moment Andi walked away to find Cyrus. I expected a long, dejected sigh at that point but he started breathing shallowly and the camera zoomed in on his distressed expression, which was the start of a twist I never saw coming.

I also thought Jonah was getting desperate when talking to Andi earlier in that scene, but that wasn't due to his anxiety, that was his jealousy of her and Walker, so that's why he was bargaining with Andi ("I can wear [the bracelet] some of the time!") and trying to find that happy medium that just didn't exist because Andi had managed to be happy without him, proving she'd moved on. But good on Jonah for at least trying to see what he'd done wrong and attempting to find a solution, but Andi had already figured out what she wanted by that point.

And then Jonah having the attack was terrifying, but his anguished "don't leave!" to TJ was beyond heartbreaking because that confirmed that this really was about Andi breaking it off. And he seemed to be aware of that as the root cause after the fact, in talking to Cyrus' dad as well as Andi much later.

Also, he seemed just as high-strung when Cyrus' dad started saying he might have another panic attack in the future as when he started having the attack in the first place, so that's very telling of his mental state. He was clearly very worried (which was not something I wanted to right about, btw) and confused and unsure how to proceed.

But, of course, he doesn't want anyone to know. Considering how mental illness works in this world and the stigma surrounding it, added to the fact that it's anxiety which will only feed into itself, that's a very realistic reaction. Jonah specifically said he did not want Cyrus or Andi or Buffy to know about this. (Let's just hope that Life Coach Dad doesn't tell Town-Gossip Stepmom anything, though I'm betting he won't.)

And then he goes to Andi's apartment and asks her out for realsies. Oh boy. It's obvious, since we just witnessed him having a panic attack because of this, that he's doing this to keep Andi close as a means to preventing another panic attack. We also know this will never work out well because that is a terrible reason to found a relationship on.

I'm not saying Jandi isn't adorable as all get out, but having a mental stock in a person is a codependency nightmare that Andi is currently unaware of and it will be one of many reasons that they fail as a couple.

If Andi goes along with this, she'll either be doing it to make Jonah happy because he begged her, or to satisfy a desire to have a 'real boyfriend' which Jonah already proved he didn't even want to be. If she rejects him, as she should but probably won't do, then Jonah could potentially try to woo her, but my guess is, for the sake of drama, she is going to try and give Jonah a shot at the very least, and it's not going to go particularly well. Mainly because those two don't communicate properly, and if we have picked up anything from Jonah's relationship with Amber, it's that he has no understanding of what to do beyond what Amber found obligatory, and that he may even come to resent Andi without meaning to because she doesn't give him 'orders' or tells him to 'try again' when he messes up.

At this point, it looks like Season 2B is going to address more about who Jonah really is (finally), but also that dating him will be anything but a breeze because of his past relationship(s?) and potential other sources of abuse.

So that's something to look forward to, if you like angst, I mean.

Good luck to these kids, living through this drama must not be very fun at all.

Zombie Movie: Cargo (2018)

Oh my gosh I finally realised why this movie is called Cargo and I finished it twenty minutes ago.

Before I begin, I would like to acknowledge that I’m posting this from the land of the Dharawal (Tharawal) people, and acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging. I would also like to note that this post may contain names and/or images of deceased Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

I’m still crying after watching this so the first thing I will say is: please watch it.

Cargo is a relatively chill zombie movie compared to movies like Train to Busan and I Am Legend, but because of this it’s able to take part so many other conversations - Aboriginal Land Rights and traditions, fracking, and for other zombie fans out there, new kinds of zombies!!

It is atmospheric, has tension in the right places, has an incredibly fresh plot, and is highly intelligent. Although, I do have to say, the lead of the Australian zombie movie is very British and that did make me laugh. 

This is an Australian zombie movie, and as an Australian I’m very proud to say that. While most of the movie follows our lead, Andy (Martin Freeman), traversing rural Australia (this is set in South Australia btw, found a license plate), there is a huge focus on Aboriginal communities and traditions, and their connection with country and the land.

So, this will be split into roughly three parts: zombies (because like I said, new zombies!! Very excited to talk about them!) before moving into the spoiler section with the plot and me roasting random things before ending up crying at the end, thinking I’d recovered from crying, then crying even more with the final shot. (I promise I’m okay this is a really good movie.)

Zombies!! Also small spoiler but the movie description kinda already spoils all of this so not really a spoiler??

Friends and enemies, want a fresh new take on zombies and the apocalypse? Cargo delivered. 

Ahhh new zombies!!! (Picture: Kay zombie-fied. She has amber sap covering her eyes and her mouth. Her mouth looks a little like tree bark covered in sap. We have a 48 hour incubation period for zombies, we have new symptoms for people before they become zombies, we have a new look including sap (I believe it’s sap) as well as burying your head in the sand - literally. Nothing’s explained, but I love speculating and trying to guess for myself. Oh, they also hibernate? But the rules surrounding that are a little hazy cause they’re still out and about during the day, and also Australia doesn’t really have mammals that hibernate mostly just insects so I’m not quite sure on the inspiration for that. But yeah, the sap and the head in the sand thing is like zombie video-game levels of creepy and cool. 

Oh, also, unlike I Am Legend, we don’t have CGI zombies - we have special FX zombies!! Which is fantastic for anyone who wants to try and recreate the look and also makes it like 1000x more realistic. 

I also love the implication that the Australian government will give us free kits to help when you get infected, cause like... they would. We have free Medicare and COVID testing - I could literally pop over to the local dental place and get a free COVID test. This is funny in comparison to traditional American (referring to USA) movies where they’re like zombie apocalypse three years later? Ha here’s a gun fend for yourself mate. There’s also no army presence in this movie either. As in, the only army we see are some zombies from the local army base. None of that “the army’s coming to save you trope” (if you would like to know how this movie has a happy ending without army intervention, it will be near the end of the spoiler section).

Also, these kits are so interesting. There’s a poster with the symptom list, a mouth guard, an epipen looking thing that’s uh... if you watch it you’ll see. AND!! My favourite part: the countdown fitbit.

In terms of the name for the zombies, I don’t recall anyone calling them “zombies,” and Thoomi (Simone Landers) calls them “ghosts.” Now, if you’ve read my hill to die on post, I basically have a thing about people making up arbitrary names for zombies because like it literally doesn’t make sense and they don’t do it with other supernatural things like vampires, but, Cargo gets an exception because it makes sense. 

Okay, so, if you’ve learnt a little about Australian history, you’d know that Aboriginal people referred to the white colonisers as “ghosts” (for obvious reasons), ergo, it makes total sense for these zombies to also be called ghosts. They’re literally people without souls haunting the land. Therefore, the name “ghosts” isn’t arbitrary - it’s culturally significant and it makes sense. 

Now, spoiler time for the plot!

The plot involves Andy traversing and meeting several people in order to try and find someone to look after his daughter. I won’t actually say too much more, I’m just going to do some pictures with some key takes to try and incentivise you to watch it. 

The movie is rated MA15+, but I think that’s mostly just for the gore. There is a little violence towards the end but it’s mostly silhouetted so you don’t see anything.

Final things to say, I really liked Etta and Lorraine. Lorraine really got screwed over. 

There are mentions to fracking poisoning the land, and I know I’m going to go to my own research on it. I won’t talk about it here because I’m just looking at the movie and I’m also not qualified to discuss the issue. 

Also the ending is brilliant. The local Aboriginal peoples having their land and traditions and community and I know I’m not doing it any justice, but Cargo is a very considered Australian zombie movie, with Aboriginal peoples being very included. I apologise for not being able to phrase that better - just go watch it. 

Lastly, I was doing some quick research to find out if any Aboriginal people directed Cargo or worked on the screenplay - I haven’t found anything yet, but I did find that this was adapted from the directors’ short film by the same name, so I’m off to watch that now.

What’s Your Tale, Nightingale?

A/N: I plan on just giving it to you whenever I finish. :D Btw it’s 3K words sorry, I told you I made the first chapter wayyy too long, and this is 2/3 of the first chapter.

Summary: Good girl Rey Kenobi and greaser Kylo Ren fell in love over the summer. When they unexpectedly discover they’re now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance? OF COURSE, with a little help from their friends and some singing. But that was Junior year, can their love really stand the course of Senior year, college applications, and other teenage problems?

Chapters: Roles, 1, 3

You adjusted the books in your hand before pushing open the door. “Well, well, well, looks like the DCP duchess is trading in her crown to become a Hoth hipster.” “Hello, to you too,  Rizzo.” You sighed, sending her a short smile. “Hey Y/N!” The others said in unison. “Hey Martie, Hey Frenchie, Hey Jan, how are you guys?” The girls began to surround you. “So, is this your lunch?” Rizzo crossed her arms. You nodded to be reciprocated with a devilish smile. “Join us.” She cocked her head and all the Pink Ladies followed and so do you. Getting your lunch you followed the clique. “So Y/N, are you looking to go from Red Roller to Pink Lady?” Jan asked as you all made your way to the bleachers. “Well Jan, I was never a Roller and if that’s an offer, I’ll think about it.” “Jan you know she was just the Queen of DCP and she was miss social butterfly, plus it was that ‘friend’ of hers that was lead Roller. How’s Big Gwen?” Rizz quipped. You sucked in a deep breath, trying to compose yourself. She was talking about Phasma; Phasma has been your best friend ever since you could remember and she and Rizz had their fair share of altercations. “Yes, Rizz that was Phasma and she’s fine. And I’m sorry about last year.” She shrugged at your apology as she sat on the bleachers. “Eh, you win some, you lose some.” Martie scooted closer to you grabbing your wrist “Flip! Is this a Tiffany’s bracelet?” Martie shoved her sunglasses up and all the other girls moved closer. “Bonafide.” You smiled and all the girls squealed.

The Pink Ladies surrounded you on the bleachers as the sun illuminated their pink satin jackets. With your shining curls, black cat-eyed sunglasses, and being in the middle made it seem like there was a pink spotlight on you. And the Knight’s noticed. Kylo, of course, didn’t because he was too busy watching Rey at cheer practice. “Oh, man look at her!” Juney exclaimed. “This chick is choice! Don’t you think so Kylo?” Kylo felt a dull pain from being shoved before he turned to see Juney. “What?” He asked, with an underlying tone of annoyance. “This chick!” Juney pointed at you. “Oh, she’s beautiful! Who is she? I need to know!” Juney’s amber eyes seemed to glow as he couldn’t stop looking at you. “Gee Juney, you’re acting like Kylo before him and Rey got together,” Doody said and the others snickered. Kylo punched Doody in the arm before Juney began again. “Oh man, Kylo, you gotta help me out, man. She could be my Rey!” Kylo rolled his eyes at his friend’s statement. No one could ever be Rey. Especially not Y/N.Juney stood up “Psst! Psst!” He yelled receiving looks from everyone on the bleacher. You didn’t budge nor did the Pink Ladies, as you continue to be engrossed in whatever conversation you guys were having. “Kylo,” Juney nudged him again. “What’s her name?” “Y/N.” He said rather short. Juney smiled to himself, “Y/N.” He said it to himself giddily. “Y/N!” He began to yell and you finally looked in his direction.

Kylo rolled his eyes. He got up and began to walk down the bleachers. Rey noticed and whispered something to Rose before making her way to him. “Hey, baby.” Kylo shoved his hands in his leather jacket. A smile appeared on her face, exposing her dimple. She loved when he called her that. “Hi.” She said softly and she was met with his lips on her forehead. “How’s practice?” He asked. She shrugged. “It’s ok, just getting ready for Homecoming.” Rey peered behind his broad shoulders. “What’s going on?”  He looked over his shoulders to see the Knights and Pink Ladies yelling at each other, with Juney and Rizzo at the forefront. “Nothing, don’t worry about it.” His large hands raked through his raven locks. Her brown eyes followed the movement of his hands. One of his defense mechanisms. “Who is that yelling at Rizzo?” She asked. “Um…” Kylo’s fingers combed through his hair. He didn’t want to tell her about Juney. “That’s Juney-” “He’s your friend?” “Um, yeah and-” “I haven’t heard anything about him.” Rey shook her head. “He just moved back.” All he wanted to do was change the subject, but thankfully she did it for him. “Do you have a class right now?” Rey asked. Kylo’s ears started to redden. “No.” He lightly chuckled. “I have lunch.” She placed a hand on her hip. “No, we have lunch together, remember?” He smiled widely “Oh yeah, now I remember! It’s a free period.” Rey couldn’t help but giggle at her boyfriend’s lack of persuasion. “Ben.” She said. “Rey,” Kylo replied. “Ben, please go to class. I really want us to go to the same school.” Rey wrapped both of her hands around his large one. He sighed, nodding. “Anything for you baby.”

Kylo decided he would go to his last class, he thought it wouldn’t be that bad: English. Just a bunch of reading and talking about what this stands for, he was pretty sure he could do it. He walked in the class, book in arm. “Well, nice of you to join us.” Mr. Tekka said. Kylo looked at the clock, realizing he was late. “Better late than never.” He shrugged making his way to the empty seat in the back corner. “And I guess better an F than not showing at all.” All the students chuckled and the teacher’s reply as Kylo rolled his eyes. “As I was saying, I decided to do partner work this term to see how each person’s opinions differ from one another. And I would love to start now. So Mr. Solo if you may.” His hand pointed to the opposite corner. “It’s Ren.” Kylo got up and walked over. “Until it changes on the roster, Mr. Solo it is.” Mr. Tekka turned around. A mumble of curses left his lips only for him to stop moving. Sitting in the corner was Y/N, legs crossed and nose in a book. He grabbed an empty desk, dragging it across the floor towards her. Her fingers clutched tighter to the book before she closed it. “You really know how to make an entrance Benji.” She said. He plopped down in his seat. “Don’t call me that. It’s Kylo now.” “Oh, so I’ve heard.” He was now up close and he could see how your features had matured. “And you’re here.” You furrowed your perfectly arched brows. “Am I not allowed to be?” you questioned. He shrugged. “I never said that. I just wanted to know what brings you to Hoth?” It was your time to shrug. “Just trying something new, Benji.” You teased. “Alright you listen,” He pulled your desk closer to his. “Don’t call me that. I hated it then and I hate now. It’s Kylo.” His brown eyes stayed locked with your (y/e/c) ones. “Did I razz your berries? I still can’t believe you’re mad at that.” You moved your desk back to its original position. “You named your dog after me!” He moved closer this time. “Oh, for the last time,” You shook your head. “It wasn’t me, it was my mother. And she had sincere intentions.” Kylo’s eyes bugged. “SINCERE?! She named the dog after me because it had big ears!” He exclaimed. “We were six! It’s been eleven years!” Kylo crossed his arms and stuck out his bottom lip. “It still hurt. You’re one of the reasons I changed my name.” You twisted your lips to the side before facing forward. “If it makes you feel any better seven months later, my mother gave it to my nanny when she moved to Mesa. I didn’t even get to say goodbye.” You sighed. Kylo eyes darted to you and he saw yours start to glaze over. “Um, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean-” His hand started to hover over your shoulder. “It’s alright. I always thought you were the better Benji.” You shot him a smile and he couldn’t help but let a small one slip. “Oh kid, I see I’m going to have a long year with you.” No one else even noticed the slight emotion Kylo was showing and usually it was only with Rey that he acted like this. But Rose did and she definitely was going to tell Rey.

School was over and Kylo and his crew made their way down the crowded hallway. Everyone began parting like the Red Sea. “Hey, baby.” Kylo leaned next to Rey’s locker. “Hi.” She placed a soft kiss on his lips. “So I was thinking we head to The Temple for some shakes and then-” “Oh Ben I can’t, I have an Apples meeting.” She shot him a solemn look. “I’m sorry.” Her shoulders dropped. “Hey, hey no worries.” He grabbed at her shoulders. “Listen, baby, I’m very proud of you ok. Don’t forget it ok.” His plush lips gently touched her forehead. “Hey, you guys go. I’ll meet you.” He told his friends as he felt her hands slip into his.He liked being alone with Rey, without being hounded or made joked about. It made him feel calm and he thought about this as he got into his car. He drove out of the schools horribly paved parking lot and rounded onto the road. Driving down Walgrove, stopping at a light he saw a very familiar figure. He honked his horn before yelling. 

“Hey! What are you doing?” You stopped in your tracks turning to your left. “I’m walking.” He stifled a laugh. “I can see, but where?” “Home.” You said shortly before continuing to walk. He began to slow down and move closer to the sidewalk. “Do you want a ride?” Kylo asked, if his mother knew he would let a girl walk home by herself, she would scream his ears off. “No, it’s ok.” You said, head still high moving as quickly as possible with your heels. Kylo glanced down at your choice of footwear and looked back up. “Well, are your sure? I’m pretty sure this is better than those.” He peered back down. “Are you trying to tell me what I should and should not wear, Kylo Ren?” His name slipping from her colored lips flowed with unintentional seduction from her devilish smirk and he hoped that her sunglasses were dark enough to miss the twitch from the jolt that ran through his body. You continued to walk down the block as the car caught started to catch up with you once again. “So I take that as a no, are you sure? I mean if my mother-” “I’ll gladly tell your mother she raised a perfect gentleman, but I live three blocks over and I’m basically there. Thank you very much for entertaining me on my walk home.” You smiled before rounding the corner. He was stuck just as the light turned red. Kylo looked back to see her hips naturally sway side to side. She definitely wasn’t the little girl with the big eyes and pigtails anymore.

The next day seemed to be going by fast. Before you knew it, it was your last period: gym. Which was only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, where you concluded that you hated Tuesdays and Thursdays. You exited the locker room in your Hoth gym uniform, which was blue, green and white polo and matching tennis skirt. You squinted your eyes looking over at the bleachers. Frenchie and Martie waved and you reciprocated. You also saw that your stalker, this Juney boy wasn’t there. Thankfully. You made your way into the middle of the field. “Hi, coach.” You shuffled next to him. “Oh, Miss L/N! I’m glad you’re here. I want you to meet some people. This is Coach Secura and cheer captain, Patty Simcox.” You went to shake their hand only for you to be rattled by Patty. “Oh, Y/N you welcome to Hoth High! It’s a pleasure to meet your acquaintance. I hope you’ll join the cheer squad, it would be beyond unreal for you to be on it!” A 300-watt smile was plastered on her face as you just nodded in agreement.

“Hey Rose, who is Patty and the coaches talking to over there?” Rey asked mid-stretch. Rose turned to see you. “Oh, she’s a new here. A transfer.” Rey tilted her head. “She seems to be doing very well, I think I saw her with the Pink Ladies the other day.” Rose turned back Rey. “Well, I heard her parents are a kind of a big deal in the city.” Rey’s eyes wandered all over the girl, she had these amazing long legs that looked even longer in the gym skirt, all the way up to her face. “She’s quite a beauty, isn’t she?” Rey squinted for a better look. “Yeah, I think her mom is a pageant queen or something. I don’t really know, I just overheard some of the guys talking about it in English.” “English?” Rey perked up. “Like the class, you have with Kylo before this?” “Y-yeah.” She wasn’t the jealous type, but she had to admit this girl was beautiful. But after everything they went to finally get together, she didn’t want anyone coming between it. Rose saw how focused Rey was and decided to keep her observation to herself. “She’s coming over,” Rey said jumping down into a stretch.

“Hi, can I, um, join you?” You asked. “Sure.” Rey sent you a bright smile. “So you’re new here right?” She asked immediately gaining a look from Rose. “Yes, and you’re clearly not from here either.” You said. Rey was taken aback at your reply before you decided your choice of words sounded a little harsh. “I mean, your accent. You’re British, no?”  Rey began to laugh. “Yes, Yes I am. Are you liking Hoth High?” She asked. You shrugged. “It’s different from my last high school, but I know a few people here.” Rey looked at Rose before continuing. “Well, like Rizzo, Mart-” “Are you a Pink Lady?” Rose interrupted. Her voice sounded nervous. “Haven’t decided yet.” You reassured her. She laughed. “Ok, well if you ever want to hang with other people, you can hang with Rey and I. I’m Rose.” You smiled at the girl, who had her hand extended. “Thanks, I’m Y/N.” You shook it. Turning to do the same to Rey, she rejected it by asking a follow-up question. “How are your classes? I hear you are in Rose’s classes, how is Tekka?” Retracting your hand, confusion wiped on your face. “Um, classes are good. I didn’t know we had class together.” You turned to Rose. Rose only shot Rey a look. “Yeah I think so, but you were in the corner and then Kylo is so big.” Rey's eyes bugged. You only nodded “Yeah, that’s my class. And yeah he is pretty big. I would’ve never thought he would get that big.” A memory of him as a six-year-old playing ran across your mind. “Wait, you know Kylo?!” Rey interrupted. “Yeah, we went to school together when we were younger. Before, you know, the name change.” Rose coughed, allowing Rey to pull herself together. “Kylo? That’s not his name?” Rey slouched impassively. “Well, I don’t think I’m the right person to say. It’s not my name, you know? There’s probably a legitimate reason he wanted to change it.” Rey slowly shook her head before the coach was calling everyone over. “But knowing him, it was probably over something childish.” You smirked at the girls.

Kylo watched as Rey and her cheer friends made their way from practice. Their ponytails swinging from side to side as the whispered amongst each other. Her hazel eyes glanced at him before a lazy smile fell on both of their faces. “Ok, bye girls.” Alone in the school parking lot, these two lovebirds were on cloud nine. Both gazing at each other with brown doe eyes. Even in the car, they held hands, stole glances, and gave quick kisses. But, it was soon cut short when Kylo asked: “How was your day?” Her pink lips started to form for her opening word before, she jumped from the two loud horns coming from the car. “Hey kid, do you want a ride?” Rey sat back as she watched him slowly pull the car near the sidewalk, and sticking his head across her and out the window. “Oh God, is bugging me apart of your extracurricular activities?” The corner of Kylo’s lips twitched up, his eyes washing over with amusement. She followed his gaze, only to see you.

You rolled your eyes. “No, thank you. If I endure this harassment walking, I can’t even imagine what you’ll do to me inside.” Letting out a sarcastic huff of defeat. He bit his lip, chuckling at your stubbornness, his eyes looked down at your feet. “Oh! But, she listens to me! She’s wearing Earth pads, ladies and gentleman.” You couldn’t help but let out a laugh, a wide smile breaking out. And so did he. “No. I chose them because they go with my outfit.” You placed your hand on your hip. His eyes followed, seeing your figure in your gray shorts. Meanwhile, Rey just sat there flabbergasted watching him openly flirt in front of her! “Ben!” Rey shouted, causing Kylo to jerk to halt. “What? Rey, Baby, is everything ok? Are you alright?” His worried eyes searched for anything abnormal. “Ben!” She said through gritted teeth. “Are you really just going to sit there and act like I’m not there?” His brows furrowed. “No, I was just asking her if she wanted a ride.” You, on the other hand, watched while a quarrel started to arise. You tilted your head, thinking ‘She’s with Benji? No wonder she was acting so strange.’ Feeling uncomfortable, you decided to leave without being noticed.

“Well she’s gone now, so you can drop me off now.” Rey crossed her arms. Kylo looked at the spot you previously stood to see it abandoned. “Rey,” He sighed. “Don’t be like that.” “Be like what? Should I just let my boyfriend openly flirt with someone in front of me?” His eyes bugged as he faced her. “It wasn’t flirting! It was far from it, we are just friends.” Rey looked at him with tears brimming. “It seems that you have a lot of friends I don’t know about.” His large hands cradled her face. “Hey, no. Don’t cry.” “Then who is she?” She whined. Kylo pondered quickly over the right words to say, to not upset his girlfriend. “Her name is Y/N, we went to school together when we were little. And then she moved. I never saw or spoke to her ever again. She was my best friend” He cast his eyes down. She was his only friend.

andi mack headcanons bc this show has taken over my life and its only been 3 hours, plus that BEAUTIFUL hc post got me thinking: -andi's the Baby, and is probably like the 2nd youngest in her grade (according to the hospital bracelet her birthday's September 28th!). -bex had andi when she was 15 (she cant be any older than 28 i refuse to believe it) -bex is bi,,,im positive theres pictures of girls in the Box of Secrets but andi just assumes theyre all her "old music festival buddies" :))) -jonah has a minecraft youtube channel with 33 subscribers and he's happy with it but then Demon Amber Al*rt finds it and forces all her friends to subscribe to him so he doesnt feel bad. They all leave fake ass comments on all his videos and Amber comments "First!!!!" on every one. Jonah decides to take a hiatus after Amber asks if they can do a "girlfriend tag" video sjskjssha -speaking of!!! amber has a youtube channel where she posts lookbooks and trash acoustic covers with like 1200 subscribers. She makes jonah do the "boyfriend does my voiceover" challenge for her "first day of freshman year 💕💕" makeup tutorial lol -buffy's the only one with netflix so she shares her account with the other two. buffy watches ""Mature Shows"" but rly its just stranger things and a series of unfortunate events lol. andi uses it to watch hsm 2 (she stays on the kids section) and cyrus uses it for indie flicks and masterchef -buffys parents are obviously nerds who go all out for halloween. they start decorating on september 30th yall. they have planned trips to the biggest haunted house, and on halloween theyre the ones that give big goodie bags with candy and AND chips in them...and probably those lil hug juices (omg do yall remember those??). buffys rly into it until she turns 11 and becomes Too Old for that kinda stuff (so she thinks lol) but enjoys it secretly -andi has a roblox account (im literally just remembering all the geeky kid stuff my brother does tbh) and had a "family" on it for a while where she was the proud roblox mother of two 10 year olds from australia -cyrus has a fucking musical.ly hes semi-popular on it too omg. he monitors the views on his videos (is that??? what theyre called???) religiously and texts the others any time they get shared. he has a friend on musical.ly that lives in like?? canada idk whos like 14 and they vent to each other about their lives and he gives cyrus advice sometimes! -cyrus and buffy take buzzfeed quizzes Very Seriously. to them (especially cyrus) the results are Binding. -that one hc post mentioned wattpad!!! BOI! buffy writes drarry fic calling it right tf now. she makes andi edit her covers too. she wants them to be rly professional looking like all the popular ones but andi always adds bright colors and filters and heart stickers. cyrus has a wattpad too but writes original work that he never finishes sjshjsal. he usually lurks in the forums to complain about wattpad cliches -bye andi and cyrus spent the summer before 8th grade fb stalking tf out of jonah. one of them accidentally likes one of his posts from 2014 about eating playdoh 😩. they both scream for an hour straight over the phone to each other and cyrus temporarily blocks jonah shsjska -btw jonah definitely ate playdoh all throughout elementary school and quit in 6th grade omg -buffy secretly still plays those dress up doll online games!! she claims she uses them for style inspiration but she actually just thinks theyre neat -cyrus has a crippling fear of high school bc he watched degrassi in its entirety and thus doesnt want to die -andi loves jeopardy and if she misses a single episode she gets genuinely upset. she signed up for kids week jeopardy at least twice -buffy stays up late to watch late night talk shows but always falls asleep halfway through :')
