Madi seems to be very protective over her younger siblings. Was there a time where she stood up for them if they were being bullied or picked on in school?

Yes! Not one time, multiple times!

Baby Saige unfortunately tends to be picked on in school a lot. She's a quiet air headed chubby kid, sweet but will also cry very easily and yell while doing it so other kids find her an easy target. She also likes to talk about fairies and all things fantasy which unfortunately makes her the weird kid who still believes in fairies.

One day during recess, when Saige is only 6 years old, Madi is on her way to give Saige her snacks because Madi doesn't like the vanilla cookies and she finds the kids in Saige class with her baby doll, pulling at the arms to try and rip it while Saige cries and begs them to give it back. The doll is a sweet keepsake Lexa knits during every pregnancy to pass the time she can't really walk around, a little mini version of the kids, Madi has a matching one and so do the twins. They'll ask Lexa to knit them different clothes and right now Saige's doll is a dairy, with little wings and long blonde hair. The wings are already ripped from the doll when Madi catches them. She's older than them and Lexa always told her it was never okay to pick a fight with younger kids because she's bigger so she marches there and gets between them and Saige, who immediately runs to hug her big sister, demanding they give the doll back and apologize. Instead the kids throw the doll on the dirty grown and tell her to pick it up if she wants it. Madi tries to obey what her mommy told her, she really does, but unfortunately for those little kids she has Clarke's temper and once she bends down to pick it up one of the kids steps on it and Madi sees red.

She can't remember what happened between the moment she threw herself at the kid and being sat in the principal's office where a very pregnant Lexa keeps walking in circles as she tries understand what exactly happened with her two daughters and those kids.

Now, Madi does get detention and she is grounded. She walks out of the school following Lexa with her head down, Saige holding her hand and sniffling still because she didn't mean to get her big sister in trouble. But despite Lexa's pissed face Madi takes a deep breath and whispers a little "I'm sorry mommy" because Lexa isn't supposed to be getting stressed and she knows she acted exactly how Lexa asked her not to in a situation like this.

Lexa doesn't talk until both girls are buckled up and she's in the drivers sit.

"I'm not mad at you baby. Yes, you are still grounded for trying to hit them but im not mad at you. I know you wanted to protect your little sister. I'm just mad any of it happened in the first place."

There's a talk with Madi of course and another one with Saige, a much softer one about how she's wonderful the way she is.

And Madi sits there, right next to Lexa as she fixes Saige's doll, not taking her eyes off of it and even asking to help, even if she doesn't have an inclination for knitting at all.

Later that night Clarke calls Lexa to Madi and Saige's bedroom where she finds them cuddled up with their dolls between them. Lexa might cry. And yes she will blame it on the hormones but really, she's just so glad her little Saige has her big sister there for her, even if she boils in as little water as Clarke does :')

a day or two later, he wants to cancel. he's shaking the hour he woke up, getting hardly any sleep the night before even though he had an entire day of training before the dinner date the two of you had planned. pacing around the room, miscalculating sets to his spikers, he's a nervous mess because what grown man hasn't gone on a single date in his life yet? atsumu miya is who.
