We all know the idea of Danny getting adopted by one of the batfam. But hear me out: Danny gets adopted by Vampire Dick Grayson. 

Danny honestly, did not mean to dimension hop, nor did he mean to get this injured in the first place, where his vision is spinning and there’s greenRedGreenGreenGREEN spilling from his body like he’s melting from the inside. He didn’t mean to get caught, he just didn’t want Dan to happen again, not again and the GIW had seen him flying and- 

And now he’s here, wherever here is, smoke in his lungs making it even harder to breathe than it was before. And there’s a shadow approaching, a flicker of crimson in his blurry vision, and there’s claws tilting his head and then something burns- 

Dick? Call it nostalgia perhaps, seeing this small child, so much like his little wing and baby bird once were, white streak and corpse-pale skin and all. He just wished for his dear brothers to join him, that’s all he wanted, and perhaps Damian won’t be so bitey if he got a friend…

godd these last pages have been so heart wrenching for everyone but who really breaks my heart is Rachel. if anyone’s feeling like a fool it’s her!! turns out your best friend of however many years/boss and your other bestfriend/little brother surrogate are the same person and you don’t know if something happened to one of them or if they’re even real or if it was all just an act or what!! but you cared SO much for them and you were so so worried and maybe a little overprotective, but you were trying to get better, you were working on it, but turns out it was all a lie!! you knew them- you thought you knew them, him- only to watch in horror as one transforms into the other. you loved them and laughed with them and worried and cried for them and for what? why? what was the point? did you just spend the last two years babying your boss? did your oldest friend decide to fuck with you and act like someone else? was it just for fun? did something happen to him- did he do this to himself? how didn’t you notice something was so wrong? were you just a tool to use? part of a game you didn’t even know you were playing? was hyde even real? was any of this real? you still care for both of them, though, whoever, whatever, they are. you still spent all that time together, all those conversations and bonding moments and everything else- surely that meant something, right? some part of you still wants to help. but what the hell are you supposed to do? where do you even start? what do you even say?

It’s been driving me crazy how Claudia tells Louis in 2.4 that Armand threatened her with their past (and pushed her up against a wall, and choked her!), and Louis says, “That doesn’t sound like him” and then immediately decides that this is the best time to commit to Armand after resisting it for over a year??? Like wtf, babe?!?

But then I caught, in a scene shortly before these actions, at the art museum when Louis is chastising Armand for his excessive show of coven discipline:

Louis: Feels familiar...Not the art, the apology. Flex your power one night, and follow it with grand grovelling the next. Vintage Lioncourt.  

And then Armand shows Louis his portrait and tells him about his early life and turning, and I immediately thought of Claudia's words after Lestat shares his tragic origin story in 1.6: "One sob story about his birth, and you're back to eating from his hand."

The deeper one goes, the more similarities there are between Armand and Lestat (even though it might not seem so on the surface). And then I’m like, girl, is that the reason??? Does Louis (probably subconsciously) align these similarities in his mind, and THAT’s why he decides to commit and let go of Dreamstat? Because he's scared and tired and feeling alone, and, on some level, through his crappy actions his mind categorizes Armand as Lestat, and that's familiar, and, as Dreamstat tells him the episode before, “Even now, I’m still the only one you trust”????

Like I get that, on some level, Louis and Armand's relationship has always been about Lestat -- but come on!!

They're just babies (and Hoshikawa made them even more tiny). They should bicker in high school, go to the movies, race to the park. They shouldn't be associated with the Mafia and risk their life

How my main batboy pookies respond to personal conflict/act in arguments. Because I feel angsty today

If someone was mad at Bruce he probably wouldn't care. But! It does heavily depend on who's mad at him. If it was any of his kids (especially Dick or Jason, considering how heavily he feels like he's failed the two of them in the past) he'd probably go quiet and grit his teeth. His words would get stuck sorely in his throat, and when he tried to speak he'd probably start crying. He'd try to wipe away the tears quickly but they would definitely just keep coming. He probably doesn't get angry at other people that often, unless they hurt people he loves in some way. Even then he isn't really the violent type, he'd probably be more cold, calm and cutting in that situation.

Dick! He'd get MAD mad. No tears, no shaky voice, nothing. Obviously depending on what the argument's about, but if it's serious.. yeah. I have an anger issues Dick Grayson agenda. He is all bark and ALL bite. He would probably throw a punch or just full on dive at you if you went too far. That man has a terrifying angry voice, and even if his actions aren't angry or violent.. if you hear that voice, maybe consider running? And never stopping? Until you reach the other side of the galaxy?

Jason is a crybaby to me. Not the whimpy kind, really, but he cries a lot. Crying is probably one of his main pastimes, let's be honest, he's a very emotional guy. When he gets truly angry it tends to be from a place of sadness. But he's a master of words, so he will also be telling you all the ways in which he hates you as tears stream down his face! I loooove imagining him getting mad at Bruce for, like, everything. He'd definitely yell awful things at Bruce and then, as soon as Bruce leaves, he'd sink to the floor and sob like a baby.

Tim. Timmy boy. Timber. He.. he doesn't like conflict. He doesn't start it directly. He tries to avoid engaging in any of his friend's conflicts. If he's mad at someone he'll just sabotage them in some way. Probably by resetting all their passwords or something, if it's a fairly minor conflict. If someone starts yelling at him he shuts down and tunes them out. He never cries (except for his monthly Five Minute Crying Session™️) over anything. Emotions? What are those? Tim has no idea.

Ough Damian. This actually heavily depends on who's mad at him. If it's an authority figure he'll probably at least think about it for days and cry over it in private. If it's his grandfather.. yeah this kid is probably self disciplining himself over it. If it's any of his brothers he won't apologise, won't act like he regrets what they're mad at him for, but he WILL feel guilty about it for the rest of his life. He can very clearly remember every time he's messed up or made someone angry. The main trait that he inherited from Bruce, personality wise, was his guilt.. though everyone assumes it's the cold and uncaring exterior. Or the acting skills.
