OOOH IVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR REQUEST TO OPEN!!! Anyway I wanted to ask personality swap between Jeff and Toby? I kinda see them as polar opposite but they are both pretty dumb with their actions so if that we're to happen some how...how do you think they would hide it? (If they even know) and how would the pastas that hang around them feel like!
(Go ahead on dump for tim since ik you wanted to write for him for a bit!)
I tried my best since I liked the idea, I hope you enjoy. Although I didn't dump for Tim very much I suppose :p
You said to write for Tim, and listen I'm going to be honest; he notices immediately that something is wrong. Let's say they encountered a curse on a mission that swapped their personalities. They're still in the same bodies, just acting like each other, however, they are very aware of this fact but don't want to draw suspicion to themselves. They try to be quiet as they get home, trying to rush to their rooms, only to be stopped by none other than Tim himself, questioning them on how the mission went. Toby, feeling unusually dismissive with Jeff's personality, says it went fine and that Tim shouldn't get so stressed about these things, which Toby previously wouldn't have ever said to him, sparking alarms.
Then, of course, Jeff with Toby's personality feels the need to rush out an apology, saying that Toby didn't mean it, sparking even more alarms within Tim. He's standing there in utter confusion, mouth hanging open as he looks between them, only for both of them to wish him goodnight and book it back to their bedrooms. Of course, Tim immediately reports this to Slender, and then soon everyone knows and now has to navigate them with switched personalities for who knows how long. It's strange to watch, seeing Jeff be so much more sensitive and timid and sweet, and even stranger to watch Toby be the most relaxed he's ever looked, without a single care in the world about anything at all, being way more smart-mouthed and overconfident than he ever would be. To be honest, the mansion is just equally disturbed and confused by the change, and none of them know how to interact with the two of them anymore. Slender and Tim are absolutely aghast at the way Toby is acting specifically, as the once respectful and kind boy now constantly has an attitude and is constantly poking fun at everyone and annoying them, and then there's Jeff, trailing after him and apologizing and trying to calm things down.
Toby is dismissive of the whole thing, saying it's fine and they can just wait it out, it's not like it's a big deal (as Jeff would say), but then there's Jeff freaking out and unsure of himself now because all of a sudden his anxiety has skyrocketed and he's drowning in all of the behavioral issues/stressors/anxiety that Toby has from his past trauma (as Toby usually is), and it's very hard on Jeff. Of course, Toby notices this, and I do think he'd probably spend time with Jeff keeping his eyes on him. I think he'd give him advice, and remind him that everything is okay (like Jeff normally does for Toby, but now it's Toby doing it), and I think it would honestly be good for their relationship, as they come to understand each other much better. By the time they finally revert back to normal, the two of them are much calmer and more patient, especially with each other, and it turns out to be a good thing for everyone, honestly. Jeff and Toby are normally at odds because they don't understand the way the other works, but thanks to their switch, now they finally can. Although, people are still timid around them because despite their personalities reverting back, it seems they've adopted some of those traits, with Toby still being unusually relaxed and sassy, and Jeff being a bit more reserved and anxious. They're sure they'll fully revert back in time, but for now, they've gotta live with the strange looks they keep getting when they interact with people.

Recovery - Chapter 19
Eminem x FemReader Fanfiction
Summary : Em is confronted by Nicole about his relationship with Y/N.
Tags : Bit of angst ? - Fluff
MARSHALL’S POV
Y/N ended up staying in the hospital for a total of five days. For the first two, she slept almost uninterrupted. Then, she started to manage to stay awake a little longer. They could have sent her home a little earlier, in fact, she was supposed to get out after 72 hours, but she was apparently demonstrating signs of PTSD. In fact, she had a lot of nightmares, which was understandable as her memory was starting to process the events. So, just to make sure, they kept her in the hospital for a little longer, giving her a few things to reduce her skyrocketing anxiety. Of course, Marshall was by her side for the whole duration of her hospital stay. He only left when he needed to shower and change his clothes, letting Talia take over. The whole team from the studio made sure to visit Y/N, who was definitely showered with gifts and affection. The whole hospital bedroom had almost been turned into a flower garden, thanks to Josh. Marshall couldn’t help but think that none of the situation would have happened if he had been as good at handling his liquor as he was good at keeping the Detroit flower business alive. Josh actually showed up to the hospital a handful of times and Y/N seemed happy to have her boyfriend by her side. Whenever he was there, Marshall took the hint and left the room, taking the opportunity to stretch his legs and, sometimes, grab coffee with Nicole, if she happened to be working and able to go for a quick break.
Having his girlfriend work in the same hospital as Y/N was at was definitely an interesting experience. Whenever she was on break, she offered to bring him coffee in the room or suggested that they went for a quick walk. It was definitely sweet of her to offer, but he didn’t really want to : his attention was focused on Y/N and he didn’t want to take the risk of her waking up all alone in her room, especially since she hated hospitals. Eventually, what had to happen happened, and Nicole confronted him about Y/N, during one of their coffee breaks while Y/N was with Josh.
So, for how long have you been here ? She asked.
About four days, he said as he tried not to yawn. She’s going home tomorrow so tonight is my final night here.
And she needs you by her side ?
Well it’s… I don’t mind, he shrugged. I mean, she hates hospitals, so…
I see, she said. Marshall… ?
He sighed and looked at her, trying not to look too annoyed. He was exhausted and not in the mood for what he knew was about to come.
Yes ? He asked.
Obviously, we haven’t been dating too long, and your business is your business but… Should I be worried ? She asked gently.
About what ?
About Y/N, Nicole said. I mean, a girl can’t help but wonder, when she sees her date hanging around a 25 year-old, devoting so much time and energy… I guess I just want to know if I’m wasting my time here.
That’s fair, he sighed. Look, I… We’re close. And, yeah, I spend a lot of time with her. She’s my best friend and I care for her, you know ?
He knew he was lying through his teeth on that one. But he couldn’t exactly tell the woman he was dating that seeing Y/N lie in a hospital bed made him realize he was in love with her, right ? Even he knew that it would be a shitty thing to do. And it was not as if Nicole actually had anything to worry about. Nothing would ever happen between them. Right now, she was with Josh who had brought her yet another corny teddy bear and a bouquet (by now, he was probably just lacking imagination), probably planning their wedding. He couldn’t help but hear Talia’s words about them getting married. Obviously, they had just started dating, but at the pace they were going at, he wouldn’t even be surprised if Josh proposed in a month. Or maybe he was just grumpy and exhausted. But anyway, it wasn’t a conversation he really wanted to be having.
Right, Nicole said sheepishly. So… She’s a priority ?
Yup, he simply said. As I said, she’s my best friend and I care for her. She needs me, I’m there, that’s how it works.
He wasn’t expecting it (right now, all he was expecting was to pass out from exhaustion), but Nicole let out a laugh. He wasn’t sure if it was a genuine laugh and that maybe he had been funny without meaning to, or maybe she was nervous. He looked at her, a bit surprised.
And, you don’t get how I think that a grown man being best friends with a child might be a little inappropriate ? She asked as she was still laughing.
Inappropriate ? He asked. How the fuck would that be inappropriate ? You asked me what the deal is and I just told you.
You are at her beck and call. This girl has you wrapped around her finger and you don’t even seem to see it, she chuckled. Don’t you think she might be here for the wrong reasons ?
Nope, he said. There’s not a doubt in my mind about Y/N’s intentions. Now, if you’re not confident enough to deal with the fact she’s important to me… I can’t do much about it. That’s on you, not me.
She looked at him in surprise, her mouth slightly agape. She huffed and quickly drank the rest of her coffee.
Well, I should let you get back to her, then, she said dryly. The ER is packed and I have work to do. Plus, you probably don’t want to keep her waiting anyway. Thanks for coffee.
Before he had the chance to reply anything, she got up and left the cafeteria. He realized he was probably a bit too harsh with his words. He didn’t mean to hurt her, he was just pissed, grumpy and tired. In times like these, he wondered how people could seriously think of him as a womanizer. Obviously, he didn’t know shit about interacting with women. He sighed and got back to Y/N’s room. When he got there, he found her cuddling on the bed with Josh, looking at some books he brought. She was beaming, gently pressing her lips to his. At that moment, Marshall wasn’t sure whether he was about to pass out or puke.
Hey, you’re back, Y/N greeted him.
Yeah, he simply said.
I guess that’s my cue to leave, Josh told her. Why don’t I take you out to dinner tomorrow night, to celebrate you getting out of here ?
That would be lovely but I’m not sure about going out, she said softly. But maybe you could come for dinner and meet my roommates ? I think it’s time I introduced them to you.
I would love that, Josh said with a smile. See you tomorrow. Goodbye, sir.
Marshall tried not to groan as he settled in his chair. Great. Now she was literally introducing Josh to the people she considered as her closest family. He closed his eyes for a second and let out a small sigh.
Are you alright ? Y/N asked. You seem… tense ?
Just tired, he replied.
Why don’t you go home and rest ? She suggested.
I don’t feel like driving. My back hurts too much anyway, he said.
Come here, she said.
Why ? He groaned.
Just come, she insisted.
He went and sat next to her on the bed. She gestures for him to turn around and she ran her hands in his back, underneath his tee-shirt. He leaned into her soft touch, letting out a little groan.
God, I’ve never seen a knot this big, she said. No wonder why you’re tense.
She gently massaged his back. In a matter of minutes, the pain was relieved.
Fuck, he said. That was good.
I know right ? She chuckled. I’ve been told I’m a decent masseuse.
More than decent, he said with a smile. If I’d known about this sooner, I would have taken advantage of it.
She giggled and kept on massaging his back. He closed his eyes and relaxed. It felt good, though he wasn’t sure whether it was the release of the tension in his back or because she was the one touching him.
So, how is Nicole ? She asked.
Good question, he shrugged.
You just had coffee with your girlfriend and you don’t know how she is ? Y/N mused.
First of all, not my girlfriend, he replied. Secondly… Not my anything anymore, I guess.
What happened ? She asked, suddenly stopping her massage.
He groaned and sighed before looking at her. She seemed a bit confused.
Nothing, I guess, he shrugged.
Nothing ? You guess ? She asked.
Yeah well, what do you want ? He snapped. I blew it, that’s it.
Don’t take it out on me, she groaned.
Sorry honey, he said softly. I’m just exhausted. And I guess I sort of took it out on Nicole too. I shouldn’t be allowed to talk to anyone when I’m this tired.
Say more, Y/N replied.
I don’t really know what her deal is, he shrugged. She asked if she should be worried about you and I spending so much time together.
His best friend rolled her eyes and shook her head.
And you don’t know what the deal is ? She chuckled. That’s an easy one.
Walk me through it, he sighed. Since you seem to know everything.
She was giving you an opportunity to tell her how much you like her, Y/N explained.
I mean, she could have asked, he said as he rolled his eyes.
You know absolutely nothing about women, do you ? She giggled.
Apparently not, he said as he rolled his eyes.
It’s simple : we want to know if you guys can come through for us, on your own, she said. We could ask the questions, but then it might give you an idea of what the right answer is. It’s better if you come up with gestures on your own. Like… You can tell a guy that you’d enjoy a nice bouquet of flowers, but it’s so much more meaningful if he takes the initiative on his own.
He hummed. What she was saying made sense but, at the same time, it really didn’t. No wonder he had stayed single for so long : getting a PhD in astrophysics seemed simpler than understanding women.
How about the rose garden we’ve got going on here ? He asked with a grin. Is that an initiative ?
It is, she giggled. Imagine what it would be like if I actually asked for flowers. I think he’d get a little carried away.
You think ? He chuckled. I mean, shout out to him for keeping the flower business alive, I guess… And the stuffed animal business, too. You’ve got bears, a duck and… a lobster ?… Like, what the fuck ?
She burst out in a fit of laughter and grabbed the lobster plushy, giving it a little kiss.
That’s an inside joke, she said softly. You know, in Friends, when Phoebe tells Rachel that Ross might be her lobster ? Well today, he told me that he thinks I’m his lobster, and he gave me this. It’s super sweet.
It’s corny as fuck, he stated with a grin.
Well, I like it, she shrugged.
Is he your lobster ? He couldn’t help but ask.
I guess. I mean, look at all of this…, she said as she gestured around the room. No one’s ever cared for me like this.
Marshall felt this one deep in his soul. Like a gut punch. Of course someone cared for her like this. Himself. Even more than that. He said nothing for a second and stared at her. She was looking at him and smiling, but there was a hint of melancholy in her eyes.
I’ve had good relationships, you know, she added. But no one like Josh. I think that… If it doesn’t work with him, it’s not going to work with anybody. From that first date, he hasn’t stopped courting me and proving to me how much he likes me. That’s what every girl wants, right ?
Then why do you look so sad ? He asked.
She lowered her gaze and he noticed that her lip was quivering, as if she was about to cry.
I guess I’m just tired, she said. And, you know, people have been so good to me lately, it’s making me emotional. But I’m… I’m good, you know ?
People are good to you because you deserve it, he said. They love you. I love you.
I love you too, Marsh, she said with a smile. Thank you for being my best friend.
“Not what I meant”, he thought to himself. He got closer to her and gently kissed her forehead.
So, what are you going to do about Nicole ? She asked.
I don’t think there’s much to do, he shrugged.
You said you liked her, Y/N stated.
I do, he agreed.
And that she was great.
She is, he agreed again. But if she can’t handle the fact that you’re my priority right now, I don’t think there’s much I can do.
Maybe I shouldn’t be your priority, she replied with a hint of sadness.
Why would you even say that ? He asked, his eyebrows furrowed.
I love having you by my side, Marsh, she said. But I know you have things to do. You should be working instead of wasting your time here with me. You have other people in your life. You have Nicole.
I’m here because I want to be, Y/N, he said as he put a strand of hair behind her shoulder. As long as you’re here, I’m here. I’m not leaving you alone when I know full well you hate hospitals and you’re having nightmares.
Talia offered to take over, you know ?
I know, but she has to work, he shrugged. I don’t.
Except you kind of do, she said.
Except I’m kind of my own boss, he said sternly. Plus, I think everyone at the studio could do with a break anyway. Now, I’m not going anywhere unless you tell me you want me to leave. Do you want me to leave ?
I don’t, she said with a small smile. Although I think you’d sleep better in your house.
I’ve been on tour, he said. If I can sleep in a tour bus full of people, I can sleep in a hospital room.
You’re getting rid of me tomorrow anyway, she said with a smile.
You know I’ll still be here, right ?
It’s fine, she said. I’ll have Talia and Jamal at home. And Josh offered to take care of me too.
Ok, he simply said.
Now, who’s taking care of you ? She asked.
What do you mean ? He asked with a yawn.
Look, she said, you like Nicole, you think she’s great and I don’t want to be the reason why you guys are arguing. I know how guarded you can be, and how little you care for dating but… If you like her, if you think she’s great and if Hailie thinks she’s good for you… You should allow yourself to be happy. You deserve it more than anyone I know.
We’ll see, he sighed. Look, can we… Talk about that later ? I’m too tired for this.
Do you want to sleep ?
Yeah, if you don’t mind, he replied as he got up to go back to the chair.
Don’t be silly, Marshall. You can sleep here, she said as she gestured for him to come back on the bed and made a little room for him.
He took off his shoes and layed next to her. She let out a little yawn and he couldn’t help but pull her closer to him. She was too cute.
Thank you honey, he said softly.
Good night, she said as she closed her eyes and let her head roll on his shoulder.
Thirty seconds later, she was asleep. He stared at her for a moment, taking in her features. He pulled the cover over her, making sure she wouldn’t be too cold for the night. He noticed that her lobster was next to her and he couldn’t resist the urge to push that awful thing out of the way, letting it fall on the floor. No way he was sleeping next to that. Sorry Josh. He grinned at his own immaturity and closed his eyes, focusing on the only thing that actually mattered : the steady breath of the girl sleeping next to him.
Y/N’s POV
You were woken up by the door opening. It was the nurse, coming in to check up on you. Marshall was still sleeping next to you, an arm draped across your body. Almost as if he was protecting you. As soon as she saw him lying in bed with you, she frowned.
Someone’s sleeping soundly, she said with a displeased face.
He could use it, you said softly.
I know, he’s been here for days, she said. Wouldn’t let us throw him out anyway.
Thank you for allowing him to stay, you replied.
How are you feeling tonight ? She asked. How is the anxiety ?
A little better, you said.
Good. If you need, I can ask the doctor to give you a sedative, she said.
I think I’ll be fine for tonight, you said.
You felt Marshall stirring. He let out a small groan and changed position, one of his legs going over yours. You let out a small laugh as you noticed he was taking up more and more space in his sleep.
I think you’ll be fine indeed, she grinned. You can also tell your “uncle” that he’s not fooling anyone.
My what ? You asked in disbelief.
Exactly, she said. Have a good night, dear. And enjoy, good men like this are hard to come by.
She gave you a smile and left. You chuckled softly. Men as good as Marshall were, indeed, a rarity. You knew just how lucky you were to have him by your side. He was the most incredible person you knew, and all you wished for was for him to be happy. He deserved it. Even though the thought of him with another woman was breaking your heart, it made you a little sad to know that he had a little falling out with Nicole. From what you gathered, she was a good match for him. Probably even more so than you. You felt a little guilty at the idea that you might be the cause of an argument. He was the most amazing man you knew and he deserved the utmost happiness. So, even though it shattered your heart and your soul, you had encouraged him to patch things up with her. You were in love with him, but you knew these feelings were unrequited on his part, so you weren’t even hoping for a chance, here. You might have had one in the past, but it was long gone. Plus, Josh and yourself had a good thing going on, too. Yes, you had started dating him in hope to get your mind off Marshall, but you were starting to have feelings. It was not love, not quite yet, but you were sure it would grow. It had to : if the universe had someone in store for you, and it was not Marshall Mathers, it had to be Josh. Because he was ticking every box. You wanted to give this relationship a chance, because even though your boyfriend was not the one you thought about when you went to bed at night, he was making you incredibly happy, and you cared for him deeply. And it was all that mattered, right ? You just hoped that, in time, you would be able to let go of your feelings for Marshall. Because it wasn’t fair to Josh and you almost hated yourself for it. But you were ready to commit to this relationship. Josh deserved it.
For now, though, you stared at Marshall and his perfect features. His face was incredibly close to yours, thanks to the small bed you were sharing. You gently ran your fingers through his short hair and kissed his forehead.
Mmmh. I love you, you heard him say in a sleepy voice that made your heart melt.

I'm gonna be completely honest..
I didn't plan on making a part 2 for the angst fic.
Idk, I just really like to hurt myself and my readers with some angst. And lets be honest, there isn't always gonna be a happy end to everything.
That being said... I received many such requests within the first day of posting that fic. Thank you so much for all the support I already got from all of you guys within my first few days as a writer on this app.
I thought about what to do for a good amount of time. Because, like I said, I didn't plan to make a second part of this.
But I deceided that I will be writing one nonetheless.
BUT!
First, I don't know when I will be able to write and publish it, since I have a very important practical exam coming up soon and my anxiety is skyrocketing already. So I'm gonna focus on that first and foremost.
Second, I don't know which direction the second part is gonna take. Meaning, it could go in a comfort direction, or in a even more angsty direction. It depends on what I'm feeling for the particular scenario.
Also, if you want to get tagged in the second part, I would appreciate it if you could write a comment or something like that under this post, so I have it more organized and hopefully don't overlook anyone.
Anyway, that's it for now. Thanks again for all the support. I'll try to get the next part out as soon as possible.

What's Happening?
Oikawa x m!reader (he/him/his)
A blind date? Why the hell not. Y/n is a wing spiker that plays city volleyball, not for the school, and Iwaizumi decides to play matchmaker.
The ~~ means a change in view or time.
Word Count: 4465
~
Why the hell is Iwaizumi so insistent on this? Y/n thought, as the volleyball player had begun berating him about going out with one of his friends. Iwa had been doing his damn best to get y/n to agree to a blind date with someone on the volleyball team, but he'd seen the guys on that team and nobody had really piqued his interest. Yet, here he was, again, for what felt like the thirtieth time.
"Just say you will, just go out to dinner or a movie or something simple. I've just got a feeling you'll like him, plus you've got nothing to lose. Nobody approaches you anyway." Y/n scoffed, giving Iwa a good shove in the process. He only laughed, "Oh what, you're mad I won't lie to you?"
"I'm mad you said that so loudly, we're in the middle of the hallway." Y/n complained, Iwa only rolling his eyes.
"Well if you'd just accept my invitation I wouldn't have to gloat about your terminal loneliness." Y/n couldn't even think of a witty response to match the absolute destruction Iwa brought with every word he spoke. "So, you're in?" He asked, y/n finally giving up and accepting his proposition.
Iwa grinned triumphantly, and nearly turned to leave, but y/n grabbed his arm, and stuck a finger in his face, "But I swear to god, if this goes south I will break every single one of your fingers so you'll never get to play volleyball ever again." Iwa let out a long whistle at y/n's threat, obviously not very feeling very threatened by it.
"I wouldn't be trying so hard if I didn't think it'd be successful. Just give him a chance, his first impressions aren't the best." Fantastic. "I'll send you details when I confirm with him, ok? Does after practice tonight work for you?" Reluctantly, y/n nodded and let Iwa go. They parted ways and headed towards their classrooms then, y/n's anxiety skyrocketing at the thought of going on a date with someone he didn't even remotely know.
He tried to relax during classes, telling himself over and over that it would be ok because Iwa must be close friends with whoever it was, but the pit in his stomach just kept growing. What if he actually liked whoever it was, but it wasn't mutual? What if he couldn't make conversation and it was just super awkward the whole time? A swarm of 'what ifs' crowded his mind and he didn't get much work done. When the day finally ended, he about booked it out of the classroom, hoping that getting to his practice would help take his mind off things.
In his rush, he ran straight into the back of someone just barely taller than him who'd randomly stopped in the middle of the walkway.
"Shit, sorry. Are you ok?" Y/n asked the stranger, helping him pick up a handful of flyers he had dropped at the collision. He looked to be around the same age as y/n, messy brown hair and gentle features, he looked incredible. There wasn't a single mark on his fair skin, and even though his hair looked untamed, it seemed to fall exactly where the stranger willed it to. He also had a pretty lean build, y/n thought he'd probably be really good at volleyball if he didn't already play it.
The stranger flashed him a smile, "I'm alright, I shouldn't have stopped like that, sorry. Thanks for the help though, you can keep one of them if you'd like." Y/n looked down at the papers he was helping pick up and noticed they were flyers for the volleyball club's match this weekend against Shiratorizawa.
"Are you on the club team here?" Y/n asked, though he felt it was a stupid question given that he was promoting it by hanging up these flyers.
The stranger took no offense to his question though, and nodded. "I'm actually the captain, and the main setter."
"Uh, wow, I'm sorry I'm taking up your time, I'm sure you're busy." He shrugged, the two of them soon standing after having gathered all the loose flyers. "If you want," He offered, "I could take some of the flyers and hand them out to guys on my team, I'm sure they'd like to watch." The captain gave him a slightly confused look, but happily handed him a small stack of the papers.
They started walking towards the main entrance of the school and continued talking about volleyball, the captain immensely interested in y/n's team.
"So you play on a team composed of people from all around Miyagi, not one neighborhood or school in particular? And its aged 16-24?" Y/n nodded in response to each of his questions. "That sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but who do you play against? How do you guys practice if everybody's spread out?"
He explained it the best he could, their system was slightly more complex than the school's. "Those of us that live close to each other practice everyday, and once a week we choose somewhere in Miyagi to meet up and practice as a group. There are other groups in Miyagi that we play against, and some from other prefectures too. City league sports are actually pretty popular, but a lot of people don't know they exist because they're wrapped up in their school's club."
They kept going back and forth until they'd reached the separation point, the stranger headed over to the gyms, and y/n headed out onto the sidewalk to get to his own court.
"Before we go our separate ways, what's your name? I'd like to join one of your practices sometime if that's ok." Y/n was honestly elated to hear that from the captain. Sure Iwa had told him all about how great their team was, and even a little about this captain, but y/n really wanted to see it for himself.
"You can just call me y/n, I'm in class 3-B. What about you?" He replied, extending his hand.
"Oikawa, Tōru." He stated, firmly shaking y/n's hand. "I'm in 3-A, It's nice to meet you y/n, I look forward to playing with you sometime." Oikawa left, off to his gym, and y/n off to his court. He was contemplating texting Iwa to cancel his blind date, not wanting to go out with someone on Oikawa's team after having just met him. He'd rather just go out with the captain, but with the way he looked? There was no way he didn't have a girlfriend or something already.
Y/n tried to keep his mind off the date and the captain, he just wanted to play his game without any distractions.
He was unsuccessful. He was a wing spiker for his team, and he missed well over half of the sets he got. Luckily it was just a regular practice, not the full group one, that was in a few days still. He repeatedly apologized to his teammates, but they didn't hold it against him.
"You seem pretty lost today, what's going on?" His setter asked, while everyone was getting some water.
Y/n sighed, looking up at the sky and taking in the clouds. He loved that they practiced outside, it was so much nicer than being stuck in a gym. "A friend of mine who's on the volleyball team at school has been begging to set me up on a blind date with someone on his team, and I finally agreed to it. It'll be just after we're both done today."
"That sounds like fun! Why aren't you more excited?" Y/n shrugged,
"I met the captain of their team today, and he's everything I could want, but there's no way someone like him is single. I just think it'll be weird if I go out with someone on his team while we just met, I don't know." He mumbled, but his teammates understood his unease about the situation.
One of the older guys on their team, he'd just turned 21, clapped him on the back. "You never know, maybe he's the one you got set up with!" Y/n hadn't even thought about that, Iwa did talk about that captain pretty often...But there was still no way he was single, surely. "Just don't think about it to hard, it's always been your downfall. Live in the moment, y/n!" He weakly smiled at his teammates, thanking them for the confidence boosters.
They got back to their practice shortly after, and y/n's tact started returning.
About an hour and half later his practice had come to an end, and he finally got to start freaking about his blind date. When he got home, he destroyed his closet looking for something to wear, not loving any of his options. He stared at his clothes for several minutes before he realized they weren't going to change by him staring at them. He opted to take a shower and come back, hoping he'd maybe get an idea along the way.
When he'd finished, he threw on a pair of sweats and went back to his room, where he was surprised to find someone sifting through his clothing pile.
"Iwa?" He questioned, guessing that it was his friend by the back of his head. The spiky hair wasn't hard to miss, and soon the intruder had turned around and waved to him.
"Your sister let me in, I figured you'd need help finding an outfit." Y/n rolled his eyes, but didn't get in the way, secretly grateful for the help. "You should wear this, you're going to dinner so it's better to be like business casual. I know that's what he's going for..." Iwa mumbled, now kicking through Y/n's shoes until he found something he liked. Y/n took the outfit from his hands so he could more thoroughly dig through all of his belongings.
"I'll go put this on I guess...?" Iwa was too captivated by his current task to say anything, so y/n just disappeared back into the bathroom to change. He'd picked out a black button down that y/n had forgotten he owned, and a pair of pleated off-white slacks. When he'd assembled it, he actually quite liked it, albeit a bit surprised by Iwa's ability to style an outfit.
He went back to the room, Iwa complimenting him on how it looked. "Now, just add some accessories and keep a few buttons undone and you'll be ready. I set shoes by the door for you, so let's go." Y/n nodded, quickly putting on a few of his favorite rings and a small silver chain, leaving a few of the buttons on his shirt undone like Iwa had told him.
Iwa lead him out the door and they walked for a few blocks, y/n soon knowing where they were going. He'd seen the restaurant a few times, not actually having gotten a chance to try it yet. Iwa sent him off on his own once they were across the street from the restaurant.
"Good luck! Don't take it too seriously, have some fun ok?" He vigorously shook y/n's shoulders before pushing him towards the crosswalk. Y/n gave him a final wave, and made his way to the restaurant.
~
Oikawa checked his watch, he was pretty early. He didn't mind though, he'd be able to get a good table and get some time to figure out how he wanted to play tonight. He'd agreed to the blind date because it was Iwa suggesting it, he knew that despite the dick he was, Iwa wouldn't set him up with someone he wouldn't at least somewhat like. After earlier though, he didn't really want to do this. Bumping into y/n was the highlight of his day, he'd immediately found the guy more than attractive. He acted distant though, as if he didn't want to get close to Tōru for some reason, but he couldn't be sure, they'd just met.
You're not here for him though, focus. As much as he wanted the evening to already be over, he would entertain his date and ensure they both had a nice enough time. He'd hate for it to be a total waste of time and money so he told himself he'd stick it through no matter what.
Several minutes passed, and it was nearly the agreed upon time now, Oikawa becoming slightly nervous he'd be stood up even though they didn't know each other.
"Eh? Oikawa? What're you doing here?" He'd been looking at the menu, but the familiar voice jarred him. He looked over, and noticed the waitress was gesturing for him to sit, and saying she'd be back to take our orders in a few minutes.
"Y/n! I'm, uh-my friend set me up on a blind date, what a coincidence seeing you here. You must be meeting your boyfr- I mean your partner or something. You look great!" Oikawa felt his face heating up, he shouldn't have just assumed that y/n was queer, and now he'd made things weird, awesome.
Y/n didn't seem phased by his words though, in fact he started laughing. "That damn Hajime." The realization soon settled on Oikawa, y/n was his blind date. Here he'd been, hoping that it would happen, and he had gotten exactly what he'd wanted.
"Well, it's good to see you again, so soon!" Y/n smiled, "What're the odds?" Oikawa chucked, relieved y/n hadn't reacted strangely to his mumblings before. Y/n opened his menu, sifting through the options, but couldn't seem to pick one out.
"Can I recommend something?" Oikawa asked.
Y/n looked up at him and immediately closed his menu, setting his gaze on Oikawa, lightly laughing as he accepted his invitation. "God please, there's so much to chose from I can barely think." Oikawa giggled and pointed out a few options that had caught his eye, but he noticed that y/n wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying. He just kept his eyes on Oikawa while he spoke, it felt like he was more focused on his movements than what he was actually saying.
Oikawa quieted when the waitress came back and asked for their orders, y/n gesturing for him to go first. "I'll have a bowl of Nabeyaki Udon, please." She smiled at him, and moved her focus to y/n.
"I'll have the same, thank you." She nodded, and left the two once again.
"Not very creative, y/n." He commented, y/n quickly rolling his eyes.
"I couldn't decide! If it's good enough for you to eat, I'm sure it'll be more than fine for me too." Y/n nervously laughed, Oikawa noticing him shifting in his seat and playing with his hands. He was nervous. Oikawa couldn't decide whether he wanted to say to say something or not, he didn't want to make things worse by any means but he didn't want y/n to be that nervous to be on a date with him.
He pursed his lips for a moment, then did his best to offer the nervous a kind smile. "Why're you so shaken up? Didn't want it to be me?" He joked, hoping y/n would pick up on the tone in his voice.
Thankfully, it seemed like he had. "No, no, I'm glad it's you! I mean, it's not a bad thing that it's you. It's actually kind of nice since we already met." He rambled, but the nervous energy that surrounded him seemed to fade. "I just, I dunno, I couldn't imagine that you could possibly be...single, I guess." He said, Oikawa's eyebrows raising in surprise. "No offense! It's just that you're so, charismatic and uh, yeah you're- fuck." He buried his head in his hands, Oikawa chuckling at his state.
"It's ok, maybe I was just waiting for you to come along..." He smirked, y/n's head moving from his hands onto the table, the tips of his ears having turned pink. "Aw, blushing for me? I'm honored!" Y/n couldn't even attempt to look at Oikawa.
"Will you shut up for a few minutes so I can fucking relax?!" Oikawa laughed, and reached his arms out to rest his hands on y/n's.
"No." When y/n felt Oikawa's hands on his own, he immediately looked up at him. He didn't try to move his hands out from under Tōru's, which he was grateful for, but he couldn't seem to string any words together.
The waitress saved him, having reappeared at their table with the food they'd ordered. Oikawa retracted his hands from y/n's as his and the other's bowls were placed in front of them. They both thanked her and started digging into their food. Things were quiet for several minutes, neither really wanting to attempt conversation while they ate, but Tōru could tell the tension between them had largely dissipated.
After they'd eaten, they made small talk, about hobbies, favorite colors, all the usual. Eventually, the check came to them and Oikawa managed to pay for everything, much to y/n's dismay. They'd argued as much as they could've until the waitress had shown up again and Oikawa forced the bill out of y/n's hands.
"I'll pay next time, it's only fair." Y/n said as they were leaving the restaurant.
"Next time? Another date, you mean?" He questioned, hoping to see y/n change colors again. This time though, y/n put a sliver of confidence in himself and his response.
"Obviously, you couldn't keep your eyes or your hands to yourself. Of course there'd be another date." The way he raised an eyebrow at Oikawa reminded him a bit of himself, but he loved that y/n could dish it back to him. "Anyway," he ventured, "Can I walk you home? Unless you wanted to do something else."
Truthfully, Tōru didn't want the night to end. He longed to come up with activity after activity so he could stay with y/n, he had a calming presence which helped ease Tōru's ever-crowded mind. He was always thinking about volleyball and school, always about how he could be improving or what he'd been doing wrong. But tonight - tonight he hadn't thought about anything except for y/n, making him laugh or blush, or just listening to what he had to say.
"Hey, are you there? Did I scare you or something?" He looked up, now realizing he'd totally spaced out and didn't even know for how long.
He blinked a few times, and looked around. Apparently they'd ended up walking to some park he didn't immediately recognize. "Sorry, I just got distracted, my bad. Also, where are we?" Y/n lightly laughed and looked around, apparently also not having realized they'd kept walking directionless.
"This, oh this is the park where I practice! I guess I came here out of habit, the court we use is over there." He pointed over to where a net was set up and there was a rectangle of concrete with painted lines. "So, uh, did you want me to walk you home? Or...?" Ah right his question from earlier. Let's try not to forget to answer it this time.
"Well, I don't have plans for the rest of the evening, and it's not super late yet... But if you do, then we can totally-"
"I don't." Y/n interrupted, his clam gaze making Oikawa a bit anxious. Ever since they left the restaurant, the vibes had completely switched, Oikawa was forgetting who he was and what was going on while y/n flirted and stayed collected. "I've still got my keys, I could grab a ball if you want to hit a few." Finally, something Tōru understood. If there was one thing he couldn't look bad doing, it was volleyball.
"If you insist." He replied. "Try not to get too intimidated though, I'm one of the best y'know." Again, y/n didn't falter at his attempt to fluster him.
"But you haven't made it to nationals like Miya has, so why should I be scared?" MIYA? Y/n knew someone who played at the national level? Now he wasn't so sure about what he'd said. Of course he knew he was a fantastic setter, one of the best in his own opinion, but he'd not played against or with someone who was a regular at nationals.
At an attempt to collect himself, he waved off y/n's comment. "So what? Just because I haven't made it to nationals yet doesn't mean I'm not the best setter out there."
"I guess we'll just have to see." Y/n shot back, before jogging over to the storage shed near the court. He dug out a volleyball and tossed it to Oikawa, who gently received it without a second thought.
"You said you're wing spiker, right?" He asked, y/n nodded. "What kind of set do you like?" This time, y/n only shrugged.
"You'll just have to figure it out, 'best setter out there'." He sneered, walking onto the concrete platform and towards the right side. Oikawa scoffed and went off towards the left. I'll find out, on the first one. He told himself, though it wasn't the most realistic, but he always like a challenge.
Oikawa set, and y/n spiked over and over again, Oikawa priding himself on figuring out what y/n liked within his first (but likely his second or third) set. They only stopped when it had gotten too dark out to see very clearly over the net, both of them having a slight sweat. As y/n put the ball back, Oikawa asked him more about how he knew the person from nationals, it bothered him that y/n might have had a setter that he thought was better.
"Oh, Miya? God I don't even remember how we met, I think he plays for a city team in his spare time." Y/n said, "Yeah, we met at a tournament. His team beat us, but only barely, we did five sets and it was down to the last, the score I think was 20-22 in the end." Oikawa whistled, he knew how exhausting a game like that could be. "Anyway, after we played against each other, he approached me and almost begged me to let him set for me." He laughed to himself, but Oikawa's mind was everywhere. "We played a little after that game and became good friends, he always updates me on his tournaments and games."
Oikawa's fatal flaw was that he had a massive god-complex, and right now it was definitely being complex. His mind was about to take a total downward turn when y/n punched his shoulder.
"Don't look like that, you idiot." Y/n sneered.
"What? Look like what?" He demanded.
"Don't get jealous. Don't get upset just because I know some great setter, I can't even begin to compare you two and you've never even met him. Don't get your tits in a twist so quickly, now come on it's dark, we're both tired, and it's obviously past your bedtime." Tōru's mind went blank, even if he could think up a response, there'd be now way he'd bring himself to say it. He hadn't been put in his place like that before, sure Iwa gave him reality checks every now and then, but nobody could read him like that.
Y/n started walking, but turned to face Tōru and held out his hand, waiting for him to take it. He didn't say anything, just waved his hand around and stared at Tōru until he finally took it. Y/n's hand was warm, and strong, just like a spiker's should be.
"Where's your house?" Y/n asked him, his face void of any snark or ego that it had only moments earlier.
"It's up by the school, two streets north." Y/n nodded and confidently lead him in the general direction. "How are you so calm all of a sudden?" He found himself asking, the events of their date confusing him.
Y/n chuckled as he looked to the sky. "After you ripped the bill out of my hands at that restaurant, I knew you weren't as serious or intimidating as I had thought you were when I first met you. Our conversations and getting to hit your sets after we ate was so much more relaxed, I just felt like I could be myself. I don't like formal situations like sit down dinners at fancy restaurants, I didn't even know what to wear, Iwa picked this out."
Hearing that Hajime had picked out what y/n was wearing made Tōru feel better, he thought he was a total disaster today but he hadn't been alone. "I thought this was going to be easy, but you just keep making me forget how to think." He lightly squeezed Tōru's hand at the comment,
"That's probably a good thing, isn't it? You probably think way to much." He sighed,
"You're definitely right. Guess I'm extremely lucky for having you physically run into me today."
Y/n smiled, "You're so welcome."
They approached Oikawa's neighborhood, and he directed y/n to his house, y/n only letting go of Oikawa's hand when they got to his front steps. "Thanks, for tonight. It was fun, I'm looking forward to next time." Y/n said, a slight blush dusting his cheeks and the bridge of his nose.
"Me too, even though I'll probably see you again tomorrow, right?" Y/n's face dropped, he'd totally forgotten they went to school together.
Thoroughly embarrassed, he rubbed the back of his neck and tried to laugh it off. "Eh, true- our classes are neighbors." He took a deep breath and faced Tōru, "Well, I'll see you later. Have a good night, Oikawa." He barely got a chance to reply before y/n had turned around to leave, so he grabbed the shoulder closest to him, and turned the boy to face him again.
"What, no goodbye kiss? We're basically dating now right?" Y/n turned nearly purple at the comment, definitely not having expected it. He tried stuttering out some kind of response, so Oikawa put him out of his misery and tugged the gent towards him.
He could feel y/n's anxiety melt away as they kissed, his arms wrapping around Tōru's waist, his in return folding around y/n's neck. Y/n couldn't believe what was happening, but he was beyond happy that it was.

ror | shiva x reader | the hot spring screwup
hi there! this is my first writing piece in yeeeears so sorry if it’s booty. i originally was working on a buddha chapter piece but got this idea and decided to post this first since it’s just a little one off thing. the idea of the reader’s character is basically the same as the one that i will be writing about in the buddha piece. so if you like this, be on the lookout for that release! also, i have only watched the anime so what I know is solely based on that (with some additional research courtesy of professor google) so if there are any inaccuracies, i apologize! anyway, please enjoy! ♡
warnings: nudity, no sexy time but heavily alludes to it, basically straight up mentions wanting to bang shiva
spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
You sigh dreamily as you step into the steaming water, sinking down until you were submerged from the neck down. Your tense muscles unraveled and the dull ache of your wounds waned, sending you into a state of pure euphoria. In life, you had fought in a myriad of brawls, but none quite like this. It was a battle of souls, a bout that would affect humanity’s fate, and against a god no less. However, you had managed to overpower your opponent in the very end, saving your soul from decimation and adding another triumph under humanity’s belt — and all at the cost of a badly broken arm, cracked ribs, and bruised lungs. Despite the advanced technology and medicine of the god realm, it did little to quell your pain. Thankfully, one of the nurses told you about the incredible hot spring, and you were all too pleased to learn that the bandages were infused with some type of magic that allowed it to get wet. Valhalla was sure an interesting place.
The idyllic silence is abruptly broken when you hear several pairs of feet shuffle into the area. You grumble quietly at having to share the divine space. You were not in the mood to interact with people especially if they were gods. That was the very last thing you wanted. But, the hot spring seemed spacious enough and paired with the heavy shroud of steam, you’d probably have very minimal to no contact with whoever else had entered. As long as you stayed in your little nook at the far side of the spring, they wouldn’t bother you right?
“This was a good idea. I’m getting riled up and tense waiting for my turn to fight. If only old man Zeus hadn’t browbeat me into letting him take my turn. This will definitely help loosen me up.”
You freeze, your once relaxed muscles stiffening at the sound of the booming voice.
What?? Is that a man’s voice? It couldn’t be.. No, it has to be a mistake…this is the women’s hot spring…maybe it’s just a woman with a deep voice. Yeah, that’s it..a woman with a deep voice, you think to yourself trying to assuage your panicking mind. Your breathing grows shallow as you nervously listen for affirmation that these were indeed women. Females. Girls. Fellow vagina owners. And not men.
“Always itching for a fight huh Shiva? Glad to know you haven’t changed,” another voice says as multiple laughs erupt into the air.
Your stomach drops, and you feel like it’s falling out of your butt as your fears are dismally confirmed. Not only were they men, but at least one of them, if not all, were gods.
Fuck me.
You try to ever so silently press yourself against a rock in the farthest corner possible, dipping yourself lower into the water so that you were only visible from the nose up. If it weren’t for the thick steam emanating from the spring, you surely would have already been noticed.
The water sloshes and ripples as the men make their way into the spring, causing your anxiety to further skyrocket as your chances of a clean escape begin to dwindle. You had to get the hell out of here. You try to devise a plan to flee undetected or at least without your identity being discovered. If you ever meet the legendary Mulan, you’d have to ask her how the hell she did it. But, here were the cold, hard facts: You were butt ass naked. At least five to six men were here, probably all gods, one of them being the all powerful Shiva. The exit and your towel were on the completely opposite side of where you were. You had a broken arm, broken ribs, broken everything really; you were in no condition to fight.
Plan A: Jump out of the spring from where you were and run like hell. High risk of slipping, falling, breaking your neck, and then having your dead, naked body discovered by a bunch of male gods. Next.
Plan B: Walk across the spring and hope that you don’t get noticed. High risk of getting caught and bumping into someone who will kill you and then having your dead, naked body discovered by a bunch of male gods. Next.
Plan C: Swim underwater. The water seemed clear enough. However, your lungs were bruised, and although not fatal or very serious, that put your breath holding capacity to maybe like five seconds. Ten if you were feeling daring. Not to mention you had only one good arm. You were sure this plan would probably also lead to your dead, naked body being discovered by male gods. Next.
Plan D: Quietly stay behind this rock and hope they leave without ever detecting your presence. Hmmm. Alright, (y/n), okay. I might be on to something here. They haven’t discovered me yet, and they’re probably on the other side and are totally not going to come over here. No risk of being discovered dead and naked. None whatsoever.
You nod to yourself, stupidly confident in your plan and so totally absorbed in your own thoughts that you failed to notice the white haired, smoking man that had peered at you from over the other side of the rock.
“Who are you? Why you hiding behind this rock?” the man asks nonchalantly.
You jerkily pause your head mid-nod and slowly look up at him. At this point, you were still only visible from the nose up. And just like that, your plan had gone up in flames.
“Well? Are you going to say something or are you just going to hide in the water?” he speaks again.
“Indra, who are you talking to over there?” yells one of the men.
“I found some guy hiding over here. Varuna, clear the steam will ya?”
Suddenly, the dense haze of steam dissipates. You peek out from behind the rock and are confronted by five other pairs of intense eyes. The white haired man, who you gathered as Indra, gets down from the rock and joins the rest of the group. Among the men was a blue man with an elaborate headdress, a long, white haired man with some sort of weird mask over his face, a large, tan man with purple beads around his neck, a black, spiky haired man with four arms adorned with several tattoos, and last but not least, the one with the most intense aura of them all — a purple, four armed man, with a third eye in between his eyebrows. You gulp.
This isn’t good.
“Yo, who are you and why are you hiding?” says the purple guy aggressively.
He locks eyes with you as he approaches. You instinctively scoot back. As you watch him scrupulously, something in his demeanor and appearance tells you that this guy is Shiva. And if it you weren’t so unnerved and being backed into a corner by him, you’d say he was actually quite hot. Too bad he was probably going to snap you like a twig.
“I’ll ask you one more time before I force the answer out of you,” he asserts, cracking his knuckles to emphasize his point.
You feel your body slump in defeat. There was no way out of if it. You were out of options and better to maybe try and explain yourself instead of foolishly staying silent. You take a deep breath through your nose before standing up fully. It was the first time you felt truly blessed for being vertically challenged as the water was about chest deep on you, covering your goods.
Everyone looks at you with some degree of surprise and shock as they realize that you’re a human woman. Shiva specifically gazes at you hard. Something about you seemed familiar, although he knew he’d never seen your face before. He would never forget a human who looked as exceptionally stunning as you. But then it clicked. The broken arm, the (y/c) eyes — you were one of the Einherjar. He had witnessed your fight earlier, but your all black shinobi outfit revealed nothing but your eyes, thoroughly concealing your appearance. You had been introduced with only the first initial of your given name revealed which further added to the obscurity. He, the other gods, the humans, and the legends passed down about you, all speculated you were a man, but clearly history was very wrong. Regardless, he was too enamored in the battle itself to have paid any attention to the individuals fighting in it. But now that you were in front him, fully exposed and vulnerable, he couldn’t take his eyes off you. He also couldn’t help but observe the way beads of water sensually glided down your body and into the valley of your breasts, disappearing into unseeable territory — territory he wanted to explore and conquer. And the way you shyly looked up at him through your lashes only made him curious to know what that pretty face would look like when he did it.
Shiva smirks. ”A human huh? You were that one fighting earlier weren’t you? (first initial f/n) (l/n) right?”
You couldn’t help but feel incredibly flustered from being basically naked in front of bunch of a men whose eyes were all on you. Especially Shiva’s. You could feel him unabashedly scrutinizing every inch of you, his eyes darkening with desire. Your face burns red, and you look away.
Damn, he has me so hot and bothered. Why is he so good looking?
“Yeah, that’s me…you can call me (f/n). Uhm, look I don’t want to cause any trouble so if you could just let me pass, I’d really appreciate it…” you manage to utter.
“Go right on ahead,” Shiva says, still smirking. He steps aside making way for you to pass. The other men follow suit.
Why does this seem too easy?
“Thank you…also, could you guys turn around?”
The other gods glance at each other and shrug and start moving at your request. All except Shiva of course.
“I prefer to watch,” he says impishly, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
Your eyes widen, and you snap your head towards him. “But!” you start to object.
“You can walk out yourself or I can do it for you. Which one will it be, Miss (y/n)?” His smirk only grows wider. The other gods only shake their heads at his antics.
A shiver runs down your spine. You weren’t sure if you wanted to know what the latter meant (or maybe you did), but you had set your mind on getting out of there. Taking another deep breath, you start making your way out of the water. You put your good arm across your breasts as the water level curtails the closer you get to the edge of the spring. Shiva’s eyes remains fixated on you, not daring to miss a single moment.
Here goes.
Taking the final step out the water, the cold air swathes your naked body and you break out in goosebumps. You briskly rush to your towel in a desperate but futile attempt to cover your ass from Shiva who’s enjoying every second of it. You try to ignore his scorching stare on your backside as you finally grab your towel and wrap it around you, gripping it tightly with your good hand. You sigh heavily.
So much for not letting the gods see me naked. But at least I’m not dead and naked.
You’re about to head towards the exit when a hand grips your towel, jolting you forward into them. Your startled eyes come face to face with Shiva’s devilish ones. You somehow maintain the grasp on your towel, although it becomes dangerously close to being pulled off you. Your eyes unintentionally trail down, half relieved to see a towel around him, yet half disappointed. This doesn’t go unnoticed by Shiva who could only revel in the reactions he elicited from you.
What is wrong with me?
Normally, you’d never let someone toy with you like this, never mind this overwhelming sexual desire you had for this man. But the carnal look in Shiva’s eyes, his sexy smirk, his muscular physique, his tantalizing, brazen demeanor — it was enough to make you putty. You couldn’t imagine how you’d act if he touched you.
“(y/n), you know what? I decided I don’t want you to go. Why not stay with me from a while?” His grip tightens on your towel, his knuckles grazing your skin.
You shudder at the slight brush of his skin on yours. It feels like an electric shock has run through you and into your very core. As you consider the tempting offer, a little voice in the back of your head starts to emerge from the depths of your lust smitten brain.
No matter how hot he was, he was still a god. Someone who wanted the destruction of humanity and who undoubtedly would be participating in Ragnarok on the side of the gods. The answer is obvious. I should say no… plus I mean, like, a god and a human? Is that even allowed? There’s just no way. I can’t just do naughty things with him…right?
“I should really go..” you say half heartedly, clearly conflicted.
“It wasn’t a request (y/n),” he says, his eyes darkening as he pulls you against him.
Before you’re able to respond, someone clears his throat behind you. You both look to see the other four armed god, a pair of arms resting on his clothed hips and the other pair of arms crossed loosely at his waist. “Shiva, you should let her go. Don’t force her.”
You almost object to his usage of the word force but decided it would be best to keep your mouth shut.
“Ahh, Rudra. You’re always so serious. I was just having some fun,” Shiva responds light heartedly, loosening his grip on your towel. “But, I guess you’re right! You know best!”
Before you had a chance to protest, Shiva had already let you go and was headed back towards the water, a pair of arms nonchalantly behind his head. You stood there, stunned at the abrupt loss of his closeness and touch. Feeling disappointed would be an understatement. You turn and manage to mutter a thank you to Rudra who nods his head in acknowledgment before also heading back to the water where the other gods had silently been watching everything unfold.
You watch Shiva as he descends further into the spring, his back facing you. You sigh dejectedly. Steam begins to fill the air again, but before Shiva is completely engulfed, he looks back at you, smirk plastered on his face as he winks at you. Your face flushes, and you could feel heat rushing to your core. Something told you that this wouldn’t be the last time you would see him.
extra scene
You hastily leave the hot spring and into the locker room. As you start to change, you replay the events of what happened in your head. The more you think about it, the more increasingly irritated you become. You were unsure if it stemmed from pent up sexual frustration or from being cornered in a potentially perilous, but completely avoidable, situation. Whatever it was, you were peeved and wanted to take it out on someone, and you knew exactly who. Once you’re fully dressed, you storm to the reception area of the hot springs and furiously approach the front desk. The same teen who checked you in was still there, face still buried in the same magazine as when you had first arrived. If he had taken his eyes off his magazine for two seconds instead of just waving you over to the male side, you wouldn’t be in this mess.
“Excuse me!” you say sharply, slamming the key card down on the counter. This spooks the teen boy into dropping his magazine, face twisted in bewilderment and fear.
“Y-Y-yes ma’am? How can I be of service to you?” the young kid stutters, scared shitless by the cross look on your face and the intense aura you exuded.
“You waved me into the male side of the hot spring! Do you know the kind of mess you got me into?! Do I look like a man to you?!”
His eyes widen, mortified. He had only hoped nothing bad happened to you. He couldn’t afford to lose this job. His mom would kill him.
“I am so sorry ma’am! No, of course I don’t think you look like a man. I must’ve made a mistake when I scanned your key card!”
He was sure that all the key cards he had scanned today belonged to all males, but even he couldn’t deny that he never really paid attention to the actual person coming in and could’ve easily made a mistake. He takes the key card and scans it, scouring the information on the computer. He looks at the screen then looks at you then back at the screen. Well no wonder he waved her over to the male side. She raises an eyebrows questioningly.
“Is something wrong?”
“Uh, your name is (f/n) (l/n) right?”
“Yes, and?”
He turns the computer screen to you. A picture of you in your fighting attire served as your ID picture and in bold letters under “sex” read male. It suddenly all made sense. You can only snort at the revelation.
“I’m sorry ma’am! I believe there was a mistake when creating your key card! I can get that fixed up. We just need to take a new picture and change you over to female-“ but before he could finish, you snatch the key card from him.
“Nope, that’s okay! That’ll be all! Thanks!” you exclaim hurriedly, setting a generous amount of bribe money down on the counter before scurrying away.
Maybe I can “accidentally” run into Shiva again.
You smile giddily to yourself as you fantasize about your next encounter with the devilishly handsome god.
The teen watches you run away, dumbfounded. “I need another job,” he complains to himself. He gathers the money and slowly grins to himself as he counts the stack of bills you left. “Or maybe not,” he says to himself, tucking the money into his pocket. He had a feeling he would probably be “accidentally” waving you over to the male side again.
shoutout to those who caught the mean girls reference! sorry if you read this nonsense lol i kept editing and rewriting for days and eventually got fed up and decided to just post it. hopefully, i’ll get better at writing!

OUR OWN CELEBRATION
pairing: greta gill x reader
word count: 861
summary: you get anxious and overwhelmed while celebrating with the team after a game, so you and greta have your own celebration together alone
notes: I found this in my drafts it’s easily a year old I completely forgot about it
You felt like you were only able to breathe once you’d gone into your room. Even then, however, you could still hear the girls laughing in the living room, the unceasing commotion only slightly more quiet on the other side of the door, which you had immediately locked behind you.
You’d been helping Carson in coaching the Peaches ever since Dove left, and while you had originally thought it would be a wonderful idea, it had caused your anxiety to skyrocket. Even today’s game you had just barely won, a matter of a single point. Tension had grown within the team as well, everyone siding with either Lupe or Carson in response to their feud, though no one really knew what had started the animosity between them in the first place.
You sat down on your bed, focusing on your breath. It was all becoming too much — you wished to silence every noise in existence, pull all of the blinds, completely deprive yourself of every sensory input.
But even then, the silence of it all would haunt you. In the absence of everything else you would have only your thoughts to keep you company, and you knew they would lead you down a road far too solemn and dangerous, full of fear and suspicion.
You didn’t notice that someone was knocking on the door until Greta called your name.
There was that too — you spent every moment with Greta hiding what you had together, terrified that at last the moment would come in which someone would be lurking in the shadows, that someone would witness the moments in the shed or in the locker room when you were alone. The two of you had been lucky enough, however, to share a room, a privilege you had recently acquired through the manipulation of Beverly and a few of the other players.
Wordlessly you got up to unlock the door, opening it, allowing her to step in. Immediately after her entrance you shut it again, locking it once more.
The concern in the look Greta gave you was unmissable, though you could tell she was attempting to hide it. “You disappeared,” she said. “Are you okay?”
You nodded. “I’m just a bit tired from the game. I don’t feel much like drinking, and I don’t want to be the only one down there that’s not.”
Greta put her glass of wine on the dresser at your comment. “Let’s stay in here, then. We can have our own celebration.”
“You really don’t have to stay. I know you enjoy celebrating after the games with Jo and Carson. I was just going to go to bed, anyway.”
“You’re the only one I want to celebrate with,” she countered with a small smile.
You nodded, but you were unable to return her enthusiasm.
“What is it?” She asked gently, sitting on her bed and reaching out for you. You sat down next to her, leaning into her to rest your head on her shoulder. Her perfume enveloped your senses, and it was as if you’d reached nirvana, a peace you could only feel when you were with Greta.
“It’s nothing,” you said, “There’s nothing really wrong, but nothing seems to sit right with me. There are always so many possibilities of things going wrong, whether it’s something I do or something beyond my control. As much as I try, I can’t get away from thinking of all the possible outcomes.”
The way she mindlessly traced patterns on your back was almost enough to make you cry. The gesture was so thoughtless, a mere reflex, but it hinted at so much love.
“I understand,” she said, and the hand that was on your back moved to finger through your hair. “All of this has been so stressful.”
“The stress never goes away, though,” you whispered, and she held you closer. “It feels like I’m drowning in it.”
“I won’t let you,” she said, her voice soothing. “I’m here for you, you know that. I want to help you through it. You just have to tell me when you feel like this, and I’ll be there.”
You sighed, nodding. Her embrace was comforting, enough to allow some of your anxiety to fade away. You knew you were safe so long as she was with you, so long as you were in her arms.
Greta stood suddenly, and you looked up in surprise. She crossed to the other side of the room, and after a moment the switch of the record player clicked and your favorite music began to play through the speaker. She turned back toward you, holding her hand out for you to join her, and you smiled.
“What are you doing?” You asked tiredly, and she smiled.
“Come here.”
With another small sigh you crossed the room to join her. You took her hand and she looped an arm around your waist, and the two of you began to sway gently to the music. Her presence was soothing, and you wrapped your arms around her, her touch like a drug you’d never get enough of.
“I told you,” Greta said, smiling. “We’ll have our own celebration.”

You Know I’m No Good.
Paring: Ada Wong x Leon s Kennedy
words: 3.9k
warnings: 18+ This is smut !! (Blowjob, slight praise kink, slight mommy kink, chair sex, riding, mildly dubious consent)
summary: The sounds of fire and footsteps echoed throughout the halls of the castle. Leon observed the pegan architecture as he moved. He couldn’t believe that he let himself lose Ashley. His mind was a whirlwind of emotions but he knew there was no time to focus on any of that. Even if there was time, it’s not like he wanted to focus on it.. He noticed a door up ahead and began running toward it. He had no idea what would lie behind it… Will something or other, someone help Leon relieve his stress?
Or…
Ada fucks Leon in a chair to help him relieve stress.
notes: Hii ! This is my first fully fledged fan fiction that I have ever actually written and omgg it took me days. I’m going to try to post more on this account but it may be hard due to the upcoming school year. Feel free to give me constructive criticism in the comments ! Anything overly hateful will be deleted.
Anyway …. Thank you so much for reading !!
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
Ada roamed the halls of the castle in pursuit of ingredients. Luis needed certain items in order to make a las plagas suppressant and she was the one who had to retrieve them.
Despite the ingredients being her current main object at the moment, she had a personal goal of her own. She knew Leon was somewhere close by. Luis gave her all the information she needed and she was determined to find him.
She hadn’t seen the boy in six years, ever since he was that young rookie cop. She beat herself up for not banging him the second she had the chance and was determined to make up for that deprivation of time. She hoped he was as inexperienced as he was before. She wanted to change his life.
The thought of Leon being angry at her was something she knew would become a reality the moment they faced one another. She wanted to communicate with him as soon as possible but that proved to be rather difficult with her monster of a boss on her back.
She let out a relieved sigh as she stood in front of the last ingredient. It was simply stashed away in a small wooden and glass enclosure. She opened it and kept the appropriate items before moving away.
She stood in the middle of the room… Her ears perked up as she heard footsteps outside of the chamber she found herself in. She gently bit her lip and frantically looked around for an escape. She hoped the sound came from Leon but there was no way she could be sure till she seen for herself. She noticed a window and decided that would make for a perfect exit.
Before she could even more her legs toward the opening she heard the sound of Leon’s communication equipment. The loud static noise told her all she needed to know. The corners of her lips couldn’t help but curve into a smirk. Now would be her chance to make up for Raccoon city.
She walked toward the window quickly and quietly. Once there, she got up onto the sill and peered out. She noticed a room decently distanced from the current one. she chuckled as Leon’s footsteps grew closer to the entrance of the room. Right before he entered she shot her grapplinghook towards the nearby chamber and was swiftly dragged away.
As Leon entered the space, it was now empty. Not a trace of Ada was left behind besides the sweet smell of her Miss Dior Perfume.
—
Leon released a drawn out sigh as he wiped the sweat off his brow. He just solved the puzzle necessary to open the door ahead and decided maybe it was time to take a small break.
He had been sent to Spain on a mission to retrieve the presidents daughter. He had never been on a mission to this caliber before… The former rookies life quickly skyrocketed after the incidents in Raccoon city, swiftly working up the ranks in government organizations, getting him to the position he was in at this moment.
Anxiety flooded the mans senses. He had been uneasy since Ashley Graham had been taken from him by the cult. These overwhelming emotions clouding his judgement is what brought him to the decision to take a break. Typically, he’d proceed on no matter what.
He stood in front of the now open passage way, hands rested on his hips. His heart rate was quite high despite the calm outlook he maintained. The only crack in his facade being his quickened breathing.
As he stared into the corridor before him, attempting to pull himself together. He heard a ‘zippp’ sound coming from toward the window. A twinge of suspicion grew within him causing him to turn around with a brow raised. A confused expression covering his face.
Despite the sound, he noticed nothing unusual. He noted the weird occurrence and turned back around. He still needed to calm his nerves a little more before proceeding.
When he finally felt at ease enough to carry on, He took one step forward and stopped. A certain smell hit his nose. The smell had filled the room when he originally walked in. It was way too floral and sweet to belong to a place like this. Originally he just assumed it to be Ashley’s scent but the smell flooded back memories of a certain someone… ‘Ada Wong..’ he thought to himself. The thought of that woman brought those same feelings of dread and anxiety right back into his body but also struck new ones that made him feel even more uneasy. She made him anxious while simultaneously making his pants tight.
He scoffed. ‘She’s not here… She can’t be here!’ He told himself over and over again. The seconds he stood in front of that short corridor felt like hours. He couldn’t believe this beautiful spy could strike such emotions within him.
A sigh past his lips before spinning around on his heels to finally face whatever was causing that aroma. Before anything could even be registered in his mind, he came face to face with the end of Ada Wong’s pistol. He almost gasped from the shock.
“Wouldn’t make me wanna use this, would you Handsome?” She asked cockily with a smile. Her head slightly tilted to the side. She was putting up a hostile front but in reality had no intention to hurt the boy in front of her. Her finger wasn’t even resting on the weapons trigger. The moment the words left her lips, his SG-09R hit the floor.
After a brief moment of silence, Leon began to shake his head. “After six years, that is one hell of a greeting.” He raised his arms in a fake sign as surrender. “Ada.” Her name rolled off his tongue as if it was profanity.
He couldn’t deny the anger that was gnawing at him. As much as he loved Ada and wanted to crawl back to her like a lost puppy, She left and there was no changing that.
“You don’t seem surprised… Interesting.” She spoke, her head tilted slightly as she concentrated on pointing her weapon. A smug smirk now decorated her beautiful face.
With those words, Leon’s anger finally boiled over. As his adrenaline and emotions amplified, he couldn’t take it anymore. Leon pushed her back causing the pair to spin around. Once back to their feet, He Swung his knife at her. She leaned back dodging it, the smug smirk still on her face. He gritted his teeth. Despite all sense of rationality he felt himself wanting to turn this fight into something more. Her expression drove him wild. How could she be smiling at a time like this and why did he want to crawl back to her?
He swung his knife once again. She dodged it, yet again. The two fought rhythmically and synchronized as if they weren’t even trying to hurt each other, which at heart they truly weren’t. He attempted to swing the knife at her once more but she caught his arm. She attempted to kicked him but he countered the attack by grabbing her high-heeled ankle. While he could, for the split-second he had.. he admired her legs.. Although this was a fight he couldn’t help his mind wondering elsewhere..
This little adrenaline filled battle between the two of them felt like it was lasting hours. The tension in the air simmered.. it was hard to decipher if said tension was sexual or aggression. Once he pushed her leg away from him, she spun around and attempted to aim her weapon at him once more. With a decent amount of force he pushed her against the wall. She let out a pained groan as she hit the wall. In a swift motion he grabbed her wrist with one hand and used the other to push his blade against her throat, pinning her against the wall.
Ada let out a soft groan as the blade hit her flesh. Leon didn’t press hard enough to actually cut her but the feeling of cold, sharp metal against her skin was enough to make her uncomfortable. Her gaze lingered on the floor, not making eye contact with the man before her out of embarrassment.
They both remained silent for a moment as they caught their breath. Ada had been quite winded after being slammed against the wall. She could feel her cheeks growing red and warm the longer they stood in this stance. She needed to find a way to take control.
“Try using knives next time. Better for close encounters.” Leon spat, breaking their brief moment tranquility, if you could call it that.
Ada rolled her eyes before finally turning to face him. The blush that once spread across her cheeks was now gone. “Not a bad move.” She wore a superior expression as she spoke. “Very smooth…” her voice always held a provocative undertone that he couldn’t ignore.
“So who are you working for this time?” Leon asked as he looked her up and down searching for some sort of truth or crack in her cold demeanor.
A chuckle past her lips. “Oh Leon,” she paused. “You know I don’t work and tell.” In spite of the grin on her face, she didn’t even want to think of the monster she was operating under.
He scoffed and finally pulled away from her, stashing away his knife as he made some distance between them. “Why are you here, Ada?”
“I know you’re stressed handsome” she stated as she stood against the wall she was once pinned to. Her tone was cocky yet seductive almost as if she was trying to coerce him into something. She gently rubbed her neck in the spot where the knife formally was.
“What does that have to do with anything?” He asked not denying anything. The tone of voice she held made Him worry. It brought an entirely new meaning to the words she spoke. As much as he hated to admit it, this was making the anger he held for her be pushed aside.
Ada pushed herself off the wall and began walking towards him. “Don’t you remember the promise I made to you back in Raccoon city?” Her heels clicked against the floor as she grew closer to him. The thought of what happened between them back then made Leon grow a bit red.
“Ada I-…”
“Oh Leon.. Let me give you the greeting I never did back then.”
The agents face immediately became red. Although he was no virgin in fact rather the opposite. He was quite the hopeless romantic. Nonetheless, Being in Ada Wong’s presence made him feel like a complete virgin all over again. She stood right in front of him, leaving little to no distance amongst the two.
“The girl isn’t going anywhere, Leon. It’ll be okay.” She reassured before wrapping her arms around his waist. He couldn’t even manage to think of a response in the moment… Beyond his better judgment, he just blindly listened to her. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her parted lips. He’d be a fool to kiss her but he was falling into her trap hook line and sinker.
She noticed his wondering eyes and chuckled. She knew it was only a matter of time before he finally gave in. She leaned in forward, her face drawing closer to his. Her lips hovered over his, she hesitated waiting for him to decide if he wanted this or not.
Without a second guess, he took his opportunity. Leon cupped the back of her head, finally bringing their mouths together. The scenarios that he had been jerking off to for the past few years were finally becoming a reality! (Expect the mommy parts)
Leon’s mind went blank as their lips danced. He couldn’t even comprehend that this was real. He hated himself for how much of a puppy he became whenever she was around. Ada pulled his shirt up and over his head. “We’re doing this here?” He asked weakly as he looked down at her. Her small hands were now working away at his belt.
“Yes, Here.” She reiterated sternly while looking up at him. As he looked down at her he couldn’t help but feel his pants getting tighter. The sight of Ada in this position was enough to make any man melt.
“If you say so-“ Thank god he didn’t utter the “yes ma’am” that was about to pass his lips. Ada pushed Leon into a nearby chair. He groaned when his back hit the cold wood although he was far too aroused to worry about the discomfort of the seat. The click of her heels as she walked towards him made the organ in his pants pulse. He was growing rather impatient.
She slowly removed her dress while standing before him revealing her matching red lace bra and panties. The lingerie she wore left very little to the imagination, her pink nipples peeked behind the red translucent fabric. He watched her hungrily. He was practically drooling at the mouth just waiting to touch her yet he waited like a good boy.
She got onto her knees in front of him. The bulge was practically begging to be touched. She bit her lip peering down at it, Her soft slender hands ran over the sensitive area. “Ada-“ He whined out looking down at her with big pleading eyes. He couldn’t handle much teasing, especially not from her. He’d cover the inside of his cargo pants in cum with any more of this.
“Fine, You’ve Been a good Boy.” She stated finally giving in to his pleas, voice dripping with desire. The praise repeated over and over again in his head, how could such a petite woman make him feel so small with such simple words. Her hands rested on his waist, thumbs tucked into his waistband as an invitation to undressing him. Like an obedient little puppy he slightly lifted his hips making it easier to slide off his pants.
Ada smirked, scanning the boy in front of her, her eyes fixed on his now exposed erection. It twitched and leaked pre-cum, A bead seeping out of his tip. His pants hung around his calves. It was no surprise that Leon was big but she wasn’t expecting him to be that big. If she had to guess he was at least eight and a half inches. She bit her lip in awe and anticipation. Leon looked away in embarrassment. His ears were warm and red. She licked her palm. Using the saliva as lubricant, She gave his cock a tug. He responded with a whimper. “Stop teasing, Ada..”
“You can take it, handsome” She leaned forward and placed a gentle lick on his tip before taking it into her mouth. An unexpected gasp passed his lips. His hips squirmed from the warm, wet feeling. This entire mission had stressed him out so much that he forgot how good things felt. Ada taking his length down her throat brought him back to reality more than any deep breathing techniques ever could. Secretly he was glad she found him and decided to have her way with him.
The room filled with breathy moans and slight slurping sounds. She used one hand to stroke the shaft of his cock, with her mouth she continued to bob her head up and down taking more and more of his length into her throat until she was practically Deepthroating him.
Leon wasn’t all that surprised at her skills. She was perfect in every other aspect, why wouldn’t she be in this one? His legs were beginning to shake from the overwhelming sensation. An urge to pull her hair plagued his mind even so he wouldn’t dare touch the woman’s hair. Part of it was not wanting to ruin her sheer perfection… the other part was not wanting her to stop or scold him.
He threw his head back A loud moan filling the room, hips bucking from the pleasure. If she kept going for any longer he was going to cum. His hands rested on the sides of his thighs, tightly grabbing the white flesh. Bruises would probably cover the surface later on in the day.
“A-Ada..” Thank god the words “mommy” didn’t slip out. “I-I’m gonna cum..” He spoke between groans barely even being able to speak at that.
Nearly as soon as he spoke she pulled away from his sex wiping away the spit and precum with her forearm. “No way You’re getting away from me that easily, Leon.” She looked up at him with a glint in her eye akin to a predator eyeing down its prey. The way she eyed him only made his arousal grow.
Leon closely watched her like a deer in headlights, wet cock in hand as she reached her hands back and unhooked the clasp. The red lace bra fell off of her chest and into her hands revealing her breasts. They were perfect. Her pretty pink nipples sat on the peak of her breast pointing slightly upward. He couldn’t pry his eyes away from her.
“See something you like?” She asked in a preverse tone with a small chuckle as she stood up. “Yes Ma’am..” he uttered, not believing he actually said that aloud, while looking up at her with his mouth agape. The agent was still in such shock that this was all happening.
Ada placed herself in his lap at a propped up position. Her breasts landed eye-level with him. Before any rational thinking could get to him, he leaned forward wrapping his lips around one of her lush nipples. The other hand occupied itself by playing with the other nipple, squeezing and rolling the sensitive bud.
She gasped looking down at Leon and watching in astonishment. The feeling made her let out small moans. In spite of the pleasure, her hole was aching. She needed to feel him deep inside of her.
As Leon continued sucking her breasts, occasionally alternating between the two, She began slowly moving her hips back and forth. The moist cloth on her sheer panties clung to her folds. He hummed against her breast, the feeling of her fabric covered clit against his erection was enough to make him climax. He was such a baby for her.
Her hand rested on the back of his head tightly gripping his hair. Her moans were loud enough to spill into the hallway of the castle. She hoped nobody nearby could hear. As they continued in this position, Leon biting and sucking her tits like a needy child, Ada relentlessly rubbing her clit against his erection, her arousal grew more and more. The desire to feel him was taking over her senses.
Leon pulled away from her tits with a deep breath. Any more of this and the pair would both explode. “I can’t take any more of this..” he muttered between breaths. As much as the desire to be a good boy riddled his mind, he needed to be inside of her.
Without a thought he grabbed her hips, stopping her movement. In a swift motion he pulled the fabric of her panties to the side and pushed his length deep into her hole, hands resting on her curves gently pushing her down, his hips slightly raised. The pair both let out a loud moan.
“Such a needy boy.” She stated between breaths while moving her hands to rest on his chest as she adjusted to his size. “I’ll give you what you want, Handsome.” With that, she slowly lifted up and sat back down. His shaft sinking into her. He stifled a moan.
Ada continued rising and sinking down onto his cock, moving faster and faster with each passing. Leon’s noises increased in volume as she did in speed. His hands remained tightly gripped onto her hips, she’d have trouble explaining those marks to her boss later. She moved her hands to gently rest atop of his, almost as if she was guiding him.
Her pace eventually sped up to a quite unforgiving one. She could practically feel him brushing against her cervix. His legs shook, eyes tightly shut. The sounds of his moans and pleas were the sound of accomplishment to her. She loved making men melt in her hands, turning out vanilla men was a sport for her. It was a plus that he was already such a puppy for her.
The pair were both a groaning mess. The pressure against her cervix was bringing her closer and closer to climax with each stroke. She wouldn’t be lasting much longer.
She fluttered her walls against him. They were both close. As the speed grew a little faster, they were both pushed over the edge.
Ada’s walls tightened against his cock as she reached her climax. Her head flew back and one of her hands found itself intertwined with the boy’s hair. She cried out, using a hand to cover her mouth and muffle her moans.
As she began slowly coming down from her orgasm, she felt Leon fill her with cum. She tightened around him one more time, wanting to completely drain him. Throughout the entire orgasm, and sex, he was a complete whiny mess.
“Thats my good boy.” She lifted up her hips and used her hand to pull him out of her before collapsing on top of him, lying against his chest. Blush now lightly covered his cheeks from the praise. His head still leaned back, eyes closed.
After a moment of the two of them just sitting there, catching their breath. Ada finally dismounted him, getting up from his lap. She adjusted the panties that were previously pushed to the side then walked over to where her clothes lied on the floor, picking them up to put them back on.
With a heavy sigh, Leon got up from the chair he was previously fucked on. He was absolutely more level-headed now compared to how he felt when he originally entered the room although he felt himself being a bit sorrowful that it was over. He pulled up and adjusted the boxers and pants he formerly wore as if nothing happened.
“We best get moving, Leon.” She stated while adjusting the straps of her dressed, now back fully dressed.
“Yeah..” sigh “I know..” He put his shirt and the rest of his gear back on. “That was a greeting worth waiting for..” he muttered with a small smile while looking over at her.
She smiled and walked back toward him, Her legs were a bit wobbly. Maybe heels weren’t the best idea. She placed a gentle kiss on his lips. “Keep being good for me and there’s more where that came from.” The wink she gave him sent a shiver down his spine. If she kept talking like this he’d get hard all over again…
Before he could wrap his arms around her she turned and walked towards the window. “I believe this is where we go our separate ways, handsome.”
A pain struck in his heart. “Yeah.. I know..”
“You’ll see me again.” She reassured stepping up onto the sill. She could feel a little discomfort rising in her core, she definitely should’ve worn different shoes.
“i hope so..” he muttered as she aimed her grappling hook towards something nearby, he couldn’t tell what, and zipped away.
He stared out the window for a moment lingering on her presence, trying to process all of what just happened.
He shook his head and proceeded forward on the original path. He’d just have to jerk off to this whole experience in the shower later.

Whumptober day 30:
"It's okay just to say 'I'm not okay'."
Borrowed Clothing | Bridal Carry | "Not much Longer…."
Fandom: Bat Family
Prompts used: All

TW for blood and injuries, near death experiences
…
"I am never letting you talk me into this again."
Tim glares at the far wall, hanging by his feet, arms tied to his chest. He's in civvies, and his brothers WILL owe him a new outfit after this.
"Oh come on, you were the perfect bait!" Jason's voice comes through the comm, barely holding back his snickers.
"Hush Little-Wing. I'll take you to your favorite coffee place- at a reasonable time- to make up for it BabyBird." Dicks voice is far more sympathetic and even tinged with the anxiety that comes with seeing his brothers in harm's way.
"Then Jay owes me a new outfit." He murmurs a tad petulantly.
"TT, I still think we should have snuck in instead of this, convoluted, plan."
"That would have been fine if we had known where they were located, hence this plan." Duke yawns as he finishes his sentence, pulling a double shift for this case.
"Next time, someone else can be the hostage." Tim grumbles as a headache grows with all the blood rushing to it.
"Whatever you say Timmy." Jason placates mockingly.
"Is anyone else concerned about how long they've left Red Robin alone?" Barbara's exasperated voice comes through the comms, bringing everyone back.
"The lack of blood in my legs should definitely be considered." Tim comments, swinging slightly to try and look around.
"Well, it looks like everyone is-"
"Leaving the building!" Duke cuts Dick off, Jason curses,
"Looks like we got some rats to catch!" He calls, leaping from his hiding spot before the others could react.
"Hang in there Tim, we'll be back!"
"I regret my existence."
"TT is that all?" Damian is a millisecond behind Jason, Dick and Duke give each other an eye roll of comradery, before they are following.
They put up a fight. Seemingly desperate to escape- though it's not super odd- they seem more scared of not being able to leave than of the Bats themselves.
"Not much longer…" The anxious mutter comes from the goon closest to Signal.
He’s quick to pin him, nerves flying in his gut, telling him that they were missing something important.
“Until what?” He pulls his best Batman voice, tired gravel helping him hopefully.
Pinned against the building, Signal doesn’t really need an answer from the goon, the light gives him a glimpse of exactly what he needs to know, but the answer comes anyway,
“B-bomb...”
“Guys, we’ve got a situation! I’m going in for T- the hostage!” Duke catches himself throwing the guy to the nearest Bat, “Find the bomb!” He dashes into the building.
“A bomb?” Tims voice groans, “I am owed several coffees, thank you.”
“Maybe focus on not blowing up first?” Duke's voice is strained, not yet so nonchalant with these types of threats.
“The goons are ready for transport, we’re headed to the device, just stay calm Duke.” Dicks voice is level, and Duke takes a breath to match it.
Tim is partway untied, having been working on it since he’d been hooked, his face is flushed but he gives a lopsided grin- likely to comfort Duke.
“Signal, my man, come to hang out?”
“Har har, let's get you down.”
He steadies him as his feet touch the ground, head spinning and body reorienting, they haven’t even taken a step yet when the whole building shakes, rickety floors and creaky walls groaning with the effort.
“Uh, guys?” Duke cautions, worry skyrocketing again.
“Time to move!”
Duke doesn't need to be told twice, he scoops Tim into his arms with a grunt and finds himself sprinting once more.
“Blushing bride was not on my list.” He mumbles, hand holding his head as the other tires to keep him stable.
“Don't worry, sure it doesn't count when the blood had no other option.”
“You’d be surprised.”
The floor is crumbling as another tremor wracks the old bones of the place. He makes the decision to find the nearest window, taking the Bat route out, and sending a prayer to whoever listened that they all made it out.
“You’re ok… ‘s good…” Blood is a second skin, Jason's jacket torn to shreds as glass and wood alike protrude from his body.
“Todd.. you're…” Damian looks up at the unhooded vigilante, minor damage to himself as he see the crushing weight his brother keeps off him.
“Relax kid… Won't die frem the same ting twice.”
“Jay! Damian!” Dick coughs, the bloody hero shoving at the beams across Jays back until the two can get free. “Are you guys okay?”
“S’fine, lets get baby brat outta here.” The slur comes and goes from his tone, whether from a given effort or otherwise they can't tell. Shifting nearby has them tensing, before a light shines at them,
“Oh thank the Gods.” Duke is dusty but unharmed, moving debris ever so carefully to give them a path out.
“M’place s’closest.” Jason murmurs, leaning heavily on Damian who hadnt moved from his side.
“I can not carry you Todd, stay awake.” The youngest mutters despite his stance.
“M-“
“It's okay just to say ‘I’m not okay’.” Duke interrupts quickly, taking the lead as Dick takes the rear.
“...could be better.” He concedes.
“You are not this much bigger than me. How?” Tim swims in the borrowed shirt and sweats, as does Damian, but neither seems keen to take them off either as they plop onto Jason's couch.
In the kitchen, Duke, Jason and Dick patch each other up carefully, channeling Alfred as best they can until they decide the trip is worth it. Jason grits his teeth as another stitch pierces his skin, Dick muttering a thousand quiet apologies in several languages. Duke keeps his eyes on his own job, if for nothing else than to keep from cringing and hurting Dick.
“We’re bringing the girls next time. This never happens when they're around.” Tim grumbles, ice pack on his face.
“I beg to differ.” Dick mutters.
“Is night shift always like this?” Duke ties off his last bandage and goes about cleaning up.
“Meh.” He gets several, so so hand gestures and a tutt and groans to himself.
“We’re alive, goons apprehended, I'm calling it a win.”

Fanfic: Papa IV Helps the Reader through an IBS Flare-Up
A/N: This is a shameless self-insert because IBS is trash. This is my first fanfic and my first time writing anything creative in years so please be gentle!

──────── ⛤⋅⛧⋅⛤ ─────────
As I finished dinner in the dining hall, chatting with other sisters of sin, I felt the familiar churning in my guts I get often with IBS. “Hmm I’m kind of tired, I think I’ll retire for the night sisters, I’ll see you tomorrow for breakfast!” I announced. I began to make my way through the cold, dimly lit halls of the Abbey, giving a slight smile to each sibling I passed, I really didn’t want anyone asking me if I was okay, I just wanted to get back to my chambers where I had access to a private en-suite and the comfort of my queen-size bed. It was only 9pm but I decided I’d go to bed and hoped that I wouldn’t end up having a flare-up, I snuggled up under the covers praying to Satan that I would be fine.
I opened my eyes to a sharp pain in my lower abdomen, I sighed knowing I was about to have a flare-up, I was way too cozy in bed for this bullshit. I decided I’d wait a couple of minutes to see if the pain would subside, turning to check the time, “3AM, fuck, I have to get up early tomorrow for my duties” I groaned to myself, rolling my eyes. Suddenly, the pain got worse, much worse. I decided now was the time to get up and go to the bathroom, the pain usually went away after a trip to the bathroom anyway. I lifted the covers, moving over to sit on the side of the bed, I shivered as my bare feet touched the cold stone floor. As I got up I felt nauseous and dizzy, that was when I knew it would be a bad IBS attack. I hobbled to the bathroom, clutching my stomach as I went. As I sat on the toilet the pain was unbearable, nothing could distract me. The pain seared in my guts like a hot knife running through my bowels, I felt like vomiting and passing out. After I had done my business I washed my hands thoroughly, I always felt so dirty after having a flare-up. The pain didn’t subside though, I practically crawled back to bed and assumed the fetal position hoping that it would help with the pain.
As the pain, nausea and dizziness continued, I felt warm tears trickle down my face, “Why the fuck do I have to deal with this?” I whimpered to myself. It just wouldn’t stop, eventually I got so frustrated I started bawling, hoping that no siblings would hear me. Surely they wouldn’t at this time of night. I cried so fucking hard, the kind of cries that you wouldn’t want anyone seeing or hearing. I buried my face into my pillow and wailed, it was all too much for me to deal with, all on my own.
Just then, I heard a faint knock at my door. Shit. Shit. Shit. I was too loud. I’d managed to keep my condition under wraps until now. “Sorella, are you okay? I heard you from the hallway.” Fuck. It was Papa. I continued to cry; I couldn’t get any words out to tell him I was okay. “Okay, I’m going to come in, I hope you’re decent” he announced. As the door creaked open, I could feel my anxiety skyrocket. I can’t let him see me like this. I quickly sat up, trying to make myself look presentable but instead I made the pain worse, clutching my stomach, he locked eyes on me and I could see the concern in his face through my tears.
“Cara! What’s wrong!” he exclaimed, rushing to my side with concern. “I’m fine Papa…Honestly you should go back to-“ I winced, not even able to finish my sentence. “You can barely speak sorella you’re clearly not okay, where does it hurt, is it your stomach?” he enquired with a sense of urgency. I simply nodded, not able to say much. “Here cara, let’s get you comfortable” he helped me get into a position where the pain was just bearable. Papa gently placed his gloved hand on my forehead, grounding me in the moment “Now, cara, tell me what happened, did you eat something bad?” he asked. “No Papa, I-I just I woke up in excruciating pain, I feel sick to my stomach and so dizzy, I’m just having an IBS attack, I’m sure I’ll be okay, I’m sorry…” I managed to tell him, wincing every couple of seconds in pain. “Ah, Tesoro, there’s no need to apologize, but you look very pale, should we get you to the infirmary for one of the sisters to check you over?” he suggested. “No! Please no… I’ll be okay honestly” I sobbed. “It’s okay, it’s okay cara, do not worry yourself, you’ll make the pain worse. Do you have any medicines here I can get for you?” he asked. I weakly pointed to my bedside table drawer where I kept all my many medicines. He grabbed the medicines I needed and one of the bottles of water I kept in a corner of my room. “Here, let me help you, take these Tesoro, you’ll feel better.” He helped me sit up and gave me the medicines which I took as quickly as possible.
“Why didn’t you tell me sorella, or anyone else for that matter? How long have you been dealing with this on your own?” he asked, almost sounding offended at the fact that I didn’t tell him sooner. “About a year and a half Papa… I’m sorry I never told you, I-I just didn’t want to be a bother” I told him as I smiled weakly. He embraced me in a hug, it felt comforting, he was like a father to me, the smell of his cologne made me much calmer but the pain persisted. “Please stay with me Papa, I’m scared” I said, wincing in pain. Normally I was so good at keeping it to myself and dealing with the pain alone, but this time the pain was just so unbearable I needed someone by my side. “Oh Bella, I will stay with you until you feel better. Would you mind?” he gestured at the bed, indicating he wanted to lay next to me. I nodded and he climbed over me to lay down.
“Show me where it hurts” he said with a soft concern in his voice. I pointed to my lower tummy. He took off his leather gloves and placed his hand where I indicated the pain had been coming from, it was warm, a lovely feeling since I had been dealing with this on my own for so long. He began to slowly rub his hand on my tummy in circles, the massaging motion felt calming and seemed to ease the pain somewhat. “Is this okay Tesoro, I’m not being too rough am I?” he enquired. “It’s perfect Papa, I feel so much calmer” I smiled. I suddenly began to sob uncontrollably as I realized what I’d been going through. “Shh shhh, cara, it’s okay, what’s bothering you?” He asked. “I-I just can’t deal with it Papa, the pain all the time, not having anyone understand, having to sacrifice so much for my health and not even getting any better, I’m 21 years old, I should be living my life but I just-just can’t” I exclaimed. He took his ungloved hand and began stroking my hair, with every motion I felt my stress melt away. “Tesoro, it’s natural to feel that way, you’re unwell, I’m here now though and together we will get through this. I’ll stay here tonight eh? How does that sound cara?” he reassured me. I nodded, unable to get out my words of appreciation. “How about we get some sleep eh? I’m sure you’re tired, you still look pale though, how do you feel now?” He queried. “Still in pain but the nausea has subsided somewhat now, the room is spinning but I think I just need sleep now. Fuck, I have my duties in a couple of hours” I said, burying my face in his chest, tears rolling from my eyes. “Don’t worry about that now cara, you focus on feeling better, you’re in no fit state to do your duties, sleep with me and we’ll sort it in the morning, I promise, Papa never lies, eh?” He tells you.
“Goodnight Papa…and thank you, I don’t know what I’d do without you” I whispered.
“Goodnight Tesoro, sweet dreams. Wake me if the pain gets too much again” He said, kissing me on the forehead.

Alright so here goes a big personal mental health post…
As I’ve posted about since august, I developed a terrible anxiety induced insomnia which through finding a very helpful community online now identify as “sleep anxiety” which sort of accidentally happens to people when sometimes even one sleepless night sends them into a fight or flight mode. My brain now gets confused and thinks I should not sleep. I am often on 2-4 hours at most, often broken up and requires me to work hard to make myself relax and just wake up feeling unrested.
I’ve had ups and downs, one medication that seemed to work a while but made me feel like shit (while still working a stressful job that set this whole thing off) and then took myself off it and figured I probably need to be on an actual anxiety medication and have 2 family members on lexapro so hey, let’s ask for that. Was given that by a rando telehealth doctor because with shit insurance didn’t know where to go. Got through 2 days on it with what felt like heightened insomnia and anxiety zero appetite etc.
I stayed at my mom’s for half a week after my job took me off the schedule shortly after I gave my 2 weeks notice but told them I’ve been sick and may not make all the last shifts. That was the 2nd day of lexapro and felt I would lose my mind if I kept taking it at that point especially without a psych to follow up with. So, at my mom’s and trying a stress relief supplement, I started sleeping better and better. Went back home, had one bad night but then oddly on an air mattress slept good again.
Just as things were going so well for me, I went to a shitty dentist office i already didn’t like but wanted a tooth filled, and this dentist dropped a drill in my mouth cutting a hole under my tongue. Didn’t even know things like that happened to people! My anxiety was skyrocketed and every day since then sleep has been a struggle again. Actually I only slept decent the 2 times I’ve taken a Xanax which I got prescribed to help me get through the first few weeks lexapro because a trusted dr (gynecologist tbh) at least told me to keep trying. I signed up for better health insurance but it won’t kick in until November 1st. I’ll find an actual psychiatrist.
Anyway. After getting through a wedding out of town that was a big stressor for me, it went pretty well all things considered, I’m starting lexapro once again tomorrow morning and committing to getting through at least 2 weeks and see how it goes. Even though a top side effect is. Insomnia. 😑 This time I have the xanax to take as needed.
Just felt like typing this all out I guess because this has been the biggest mental health challenge of my life. Somehow worse than when I had panic attacks for months when I was 19. This has had me feeling beyond broken, confused, not myself, like I’ll never be ok again… totally scared and lost. So going forward all I have is meds hopefully helping me and the help of this yt channel and the guy’s book that arrives in a few days. This could be a continued struggle or it may get better soon. I’m scared and don’t know when I can work again. I only have so much funds and help but also very very blessed with my family which helps a lot. I hope I get past this and have a good 2024.

Whumptober 2023 No. 24 - If only I could dream in a little less colour
Scogan Bingo challenge Neighbors AU
Scott would have easily made it in time if it hadn’t been for Charles of course using the excuse of today's date for a courtesy call, meaning yet another badly disguised attempt at trying and get Scott to change his mind. And these kinds of conversations you didn’t want to have on your mobile on the street and the subway unless you wanted half of New York to learn, you happened to be both a former teacher in a mutant school and the no-longer aspiring leader of a mutant military group not too long weeks ago. Not a good idea, with how, once more, alarmingly mutant-unfriendly the mood in general public felt lately, especially since the news of the Cure had broken.
It took Scott almost 20 minutes before he managed to end that damn call as just hanging up on his foster father would only have meant being forced, having to continue the argument telepathically. By that time, he had to all but run to the elevator to not lose even more precious time. And that was how he came to make the first crucial decision that night, upon realizing that said outdated transport cabin luckily was right on his floor, only its doors were just about to close. "Wait! Hold it, please!" Much to his annoyance, whoever was inside the lift ignored his shout so that he had to go even faster, slipping through the far too narrow gap between the closing doors at the last moment. Another day, he might have given an irritated comment about rudeness but with both his anxiety and his excitement about the upcoming procedure at the City Hall growing by the second, he wasn’t feeling like starting a fight right now.
Not to mention that one glance at the guy at the other side of the cabin let Scott know, he'd probably only have gotten a grunt for an answer anyway. It was the maintenance guy. Figured. Scott had only run into that certain, notoriously nonverbal neighbor a couple of times since moving in here but that had been enough for quickly deciding that giving that attractive muscular, slightly stocky shape any attention? Best to be filed under delusional fantasies, judging by the utter lack of interest in interacting with the building tenants that this dude displayed. Probably he'd only found himself thinking about that rugged, remarkably handsome face more than once lately in the first place because he'd seen the guy get himself hurt pushing waste containers one day from afar, and promptly instantly heal.
Not something Scott had had expected, but for the sake of his already skyrocketing paranoia about Charles possibly sending someone after him to spy on him, he'd decided that in a city overpopulated with all kinds of enhanced like this … It wasn’t that unusual, two mutants living in the same fairly huge apartment complex.
Either way, for feral guy, Scott didn’t have any patience for right now. Not with how especially slowly this damn elevator crept downwards today. It was only when he paced the small space unusually restlessly for his usual control of body and mind, and something crunched under his boot, that he realized, the dirty PVC ground was covered with lanterns and garlands in probably a whole range of flashy colors that Scott couldn’t make out thanks to his glasses. Given the occasion, the words that the half-torn and scrambled letters on some of them spelled out were still easy to guess. So this was where all that stuff had ended up that had brightened the grey, homogenous corridors of the apartment hallways just a few hours ago still.
"Yeah, I took it down. Big fucking deal," the stranger hissed, apparently noticing Scott's confused frown. "Not allowed on general space anyway. Fire hazard and shit. I'm not getting my paycheck cut for some holiday kitsch."
Scott held up one hand in surrender, determined not to let anyone ruin was what supposed to be his best day since he'd fallen out of an exploding plain as a kid with his baby brother in his arms. "Not my decorations." Another restless glance at his watch let him know he had still two more minutes to get to the station right outside the door which usually should be more than sufficient. Except every single street of this city would be overcrowded today, and with Scott always having to make painstakingly sure to keep his distance from other people if he didn’t want to risk any accidents with his glasses … For example, like almost tripping over his own nervous feet when the elevator cabin suddenly came to a halt, between two floors, and most of the half-blind neon spots on the ceiling went out. His brain needed a moment to catch on before new worry landed a solid blow to his punch, not unlike all these hits he'd been taking in the combat training he'd been undergoing from the age of fifteen on. "What the …? Oh no, no, no, this cannot be happening right now. I got a damn appointment."
When janitor guy, alarmingly unfazed, had the nerve to reach for a cigar in his shirt pocket before sitting down on the narrow bench on the cabin's side with a resigned sigh, Scott let out a growl of his own at the man for once. With two hectic steps, he was at the emergency phone on the wall, only to find that there wasn’t even a dial tone. "What …? This thing's dead!"
"Bub, you seen this place before you moved in here? Why do you think rent's so low? Everything in here is kept together by superglue and goodwill." The stranger lit his cigar, entirely ignoring the warning glare of red from behind Scott's glasses.
"Well, that's just great. So how about you call these people who write your checks on your mobile then?"
"You ever look at your calendar this morning, shades guy? Or out of the window? Who exactly do you think works today?" The man rested one leg on the other knee in continuous, nerve-wracking patience, a half-amused, half-lenient grin on his lips when Scott, in spite of his growing trepidation, couldn’t help but stare at the fascinating game of those thick thigh muscles under a worn, far too tight pair of jeans.
"Pretty sure a couple of guys with fancy car sirens do." Not ready to give up, Scott reached for his own phone though part of him already knew better. He'd indeed been very well aware when he'd left the comfortably wealthy life at Charles' behind, that a big city came not only with safe anonymity but also with the according social and technical issues, including those of the only place he could afford on his new small garage shop salary. Far too much lead in the walls causing basically non-existent reception in the hallways was just one of those. "Fuck!"
"You are the kid who moved into 5B last month, right? You seriously didn’t get stuck in here yet?" The stranger raised his brows at him when Scott continued to walk through the cabin with one hand clenched into a fist, feverishly going through possible options in his head.
"Some people like to keep their body healthy and use the stairs." Scott got only even more pissed off, not least because of the still-burning cigar. If he'd had his damn VISOR on him, he might have shot the simmering tip off just on principle. But not to mention, janitor dude on his part surely had no idea that they were part of the same species, Scott couldn’t even focus on seriously complaining right now. Not when he was dreading more and more, not making it to his meeting in time, and had no idea when he'd be invited to a new one. With those feelings, he seemed to be alone in this lift though. "You really don’t give a fuck about being stuck, huh?"
"Why should I? I don't got an appointment." With that, the stranger went back to smoking, staring up at the semi-darkness of the empty shaft above them through the grated ceiling.
There was an idea at least. The walls of this damn building were paper-thin which Scott knew thanks to already being perfectly able to tell when his neighbor on his left came home to scream at his wife about unpaid pills and when the prostitute on the other side of the hall started working. Maybe if he could get someone's attention, they could call 911 … "Hello? Anyone out there? Guys, this is 5B! Elevator's down! Hello? Guys, this is really urgent! I really need to get downtown! Can anyone hear me?" For a few more seconds, he listened to the silence almost deafening thanks to the broken elevator motor and a building probably basically empty thanks to everyone out partying already, only his own quickening, uneven breathing sounding through the cabin, and the unnerving long drags on that damn cigar from a few feet away … When nothing but silence was the answer, and a surprisingly compassionate headshake from the stranger, as the guy's surely enhanced senses could probably make it out that there wasn’t anyone within earshot, Scott cowered down on the cabin floor, trying to get his breathing under control and not to let the threatening panic choke him.
****
"Still nothing." Once he'd gotten his heartbeat back under control, Scott threw another glance at his phone display, without any hope, but still couldn’t see a single bar.
He probably deserved the next shrug from that bench over there that didn’t need a translation into feral to know which two words it expressed.
Fine. Waiting it was then. He could still make it to the City Hall if someone from the outside would notice the elevator not working anytime soon and call help. Even with so many residents not being at home, that was a pretty surefire bet. Scott had been seldom so grateful for the exact habit that had annoyed Jean so much in the end, of always overplanning things and never going anywhere without a generous time window if he could. He just needed to keep his mind focused on the task at hand lest he'd possibly start overthinking again what he was so dead set on doing tonight, after it had taken him so long to make this decision in the first place. Means of distraction, sadly, weren’t really available for the moment. Well, if anything, this stupid situation at least offered another chance at finding out more about this mysterious stranger whose damn name Scott still didn’t even know. "So, no going out on your part today?"
"I'm not a masochist." The man let out a huff and vaguely gestured towards the building exits. "Why would anyone of their sane mind hit town on New Year's? All these primitives out there who can't hold their liquor, starting fights left and right? Not exactly safe for the likes of us." Well, that answered the question if the guy had guessed by now why Scott didn’t take off his glasses in spite of the cabin's bad lighting. "This is basically a war zone out there, and I've seen enough of those in my time. Got enough entries on my police records already, too," the man added after a, this time dejected-looking, nibble on his cigar. "Holding cells got really shitty beds. Maybe you shouldn’t be in such a hurry to get your cute ass wasted tonight. At least not out there."
"No such luck," Scott gave back with a tired smile. "Told you, I got somewhere to be. I don't fault people for getting a little overexcited tonight. I'm one of them. I'm not thrilled that they could do the damn appointment only tonight, but when you get a freebie for something that usually costs a couple of thousand bucks, you don’t question."
"Hm." The man didn’t seem convinced and didn’t ask, either, but Scott hadn’t really expected that. "Getting up your hopes is never healthy, Shades. Especially tonight. Just one big damn letdown, usually. You build up these huge expectations and wake up with a hangover and disappointed to the bone the next day."
"Whatever." Scott had enough of this pessimistic bullshit. Rolling his eyes, he'd spotted a detail possibly useful in the massive grates up there. Suddenly filled with new energy, he jumped back to his feet and stretched up on his toes. But even with his considerable height, he couldn’t make out what he needed to see thanks to the disturbing quartz coating of his glasses, as the damn cabin had quite a high ceiling. "I think I can shoot the lock of this hatch." He quickly calculated the bill for a possible repair on said access grate in his head and decided, he could cover that with his next paycheck. Which still left him with another problem though. That shaft behind the exit was looking awfully narrow and winding for someone with his stature, slimmer since he was no longer encouraged to work out like a madman every night at the in-house gym but still towering over most other people. "Think you can climb through this tunnel to the hallway?"
The man looked at him as if he'd just grown a second head. "I look like Spider-Man to you?"
Scott eyed him from head to toe just to be a pain, doing his best to hide that in his opinion, the guy had actually a better physique than said famous web-crawler. Dude's ego was surely big enough already. "Hardly. Don’t worry, I'll get your job done for you. Just give me a lift so I can see better. I don’t want to hit a damn cable by accident. Would you hurry? Unlike you, I don't got all day," he snapped, agitation already taking over again when the stranger made no move to get up.
"You need therapy, you know." Sighing deeply, janitor dude finally approached him and wrapped his arms around Scott's waist which promptly sent a surge of unexpected heat through his veins, at the sensation of the steel cords of muscles playing under those thick arms and the warmth radiating off that strong body. The latter being a very welcome change to the winter coldness seeping in through the ramshackle building walls.
Scott called himself to order and sent his juvenile hormones where they belonged. "That thing's full of cobwebs and dirt. I can't see shit. Give me your phone, or mine. I need some light up here." He wriggled a little in the stranger's ridiculously easy hold on him to get to said device in his jacket pocket. A movement which promptly let the badge with his patient name and number that he was already wearing on his belt, slip from under the dark leather.
"The fuck …?" Instead of following the new instruction, the stranger suddenly let go of him so quickly that Scott dropped back to his feet with a thud, an almost disgusted look on his face as he stared at said badge with the stylized clinic's W logo on it. "You're one of the cowards volunteering for that Cure scam? That's your big plan for tonight? Betraying what we are and helping normal people wipe us all off the face of the Earth soon just because you need a couple more Ray Bans than the rest of us?"
Scott stared at the guy in new anger, both fists clenched hard by his sides this time, the pressure of his boiling emotions nurturing the power of his blasts behind his glasses to a point where a hated throb emerged behind his eyes. For seconds, he was looking in his usually not-that-limited vocabulary for any kind of fitting retort, for an insult big enough for this condescending bastard to articulate … But not a single word wanted to pass his lips, not least because it was a bad idea, getting in a possible physical fight with a feral in a confined space, especially one likely to have them both drop to their death if they made too much noise in here. Scott turned away from the stranger, deflated. So much for an interesting new acquaintance. A night for huge expectations turning into the biggest disappointments indeed. He could have tried, sure. Have the same useless debates all over that he'd left Mutant High with against the urgings, warnings, and admonishments of all his friends, his mentor, and the woman he'd once thought to love … But if these people who'd known him for years, already refused to understand, how could he expect a stranger to? Apparently, it was up to fate anyway if Scott would even get a chance to go through with this, at least tonight. He took his place on the ground by the corner again and shut his mouth.
****
"Look, I shouldn’t have said that." The stranger made it through exactly five minutes of the icy silence before speaking up again with an exasperated sigh. Apparently even someone usually so disinterested in social contacts started to feel a little cramped after a while, stuck in a place like this. "Politics have just been scary lately, you know that as well as I do. Thinking what those half-cooked drugs might do to the ones among our kind who can no longer deal with the pressure just pisses me off. I never had good experiences with normal people experimenting on the likes of us. I shouldn’t have taken that out on you. You really wanna give me the silent treatment now for as long as it takes until they find us?"
"Not sure. You really wanna hear what I'm thinking right now? About you?" Scott gave back, still insulted and offended, not to mention more pissed about missing his damn appointment by the second. Unleashing these negative feelings on the next person within reach wasn’t entirely fair, especially since the guy did have something of a point, he supposed, but it wasn’t like the world had ever been fair to him. When the janitor just shrugged at him once more, tilting his head expectantly, he let out a snort and got up again, crossing his arms in challenge. "Well, by your accent, I'm guessing you grew up somewhere in bumfuck Canadian nowhere. Feral like you, shaped for battle by nature but mentally far too much out of control for regular duty? You surely signed up for the next best merc group the moment you were legal. After a couple of kills too many for the wrong side, you found out you had a conscience and deserted. You didn’t have the motivation for a real job though, so you let them pay you for keeping this ruin here together while you smoke and drink your days away. And because you fucked up so much in your life, you think you're not worth any warmth and happiness from anyone around you. So you bite people away before they do as much as give you a second glance. Oh, and also?" Scott had talked himself into a frenzy and just had to get it out, maybe just because the guy had let him down so much a minute ago, and even though the dude had turned suspiciously pale on his bench over there, entirely forgetting about his smoke. It was rude and spiteful and not like Scott at all, but fearing that the only chance at his happiness was just being blown out of this damn shaft, he was on the verge of losing all that self-control and polite distance to people he'd taught himself ever since mutating. Not like that had ever gotten him anywhere anyway. "Your New Year's allergy? I bet some high school jock with the IQ of toast let you down at midnight like 20 years ago, and now you think everyone you meet has to pay for that. Am I close?"
"Alberta," the stranger answered flatly, looking him in the eye as if he could see right through his glasses. By his hunched shoulders and that terrible emptiness suddenly in his gravelly voice, Scott could easily read that his thoughts were miles from this cabin suddenly.
Already, the bad conscience for his outburst hit like a freight train. "Huh?"
"Alberta, Canada. Can't tell you where exactly. I lost my memory five years ago. Been trying to find any clues ever since. No such luck. Moved here when I was getting tired of cage fighting to make a living. Some old mental dude in a wheelchair upstate New York found me on the road someday and helped me get the job. Dude probably still thinks I'll return the favor and help his little facility of sleeper agents out with some fight someday or something. Whatever. Never heard from him again and I'm not interested, frankly. I've had enough of war all my life from all I can remember. When you're supposedly more than a hundred years old, you've seen a few."
"A hundred …?" Scott's eyes went wide, the shock about the almost casual mention of his old home, of his former mentor from someone maybe not a stranger at all, almost immediately forgotten. Charles … Goddamnit, Scott should have known that the guy would find some way to make sure, he'd still be in some way in Scott's life, watching him, even if it was just by casually placing him in the same damn house as some old acquaintance. That was something Scott would have to think over long and hard once he'd no longer be busy with tonight's far more important plans. The next call with Westchester would definitely not be a friendly one. But for the moment, he neither found the energy to even tell the stranger about his suspicions nor to dwell on that new aggression of being constantly manipulated by his foster father. Not in the light of another, almost even more astonishing revelation from that stranger. Scott wasn’t even entirely sure why the guy was suddenly being so candid to him of all people. Or maybe he did know; maybe the two of them ending up here together did have a reason he also would have no chance to think about before tomorrow came. But that, too, was overshadowed by his sheer amazement and the shame about how much he'd really misjudged this stranger. Sure, he'd known in theory that ferals could get really old without hardly aging at all, but suddenly facing one of these people then … Facing the sheer weight of grief and history such a person carried, even when the latter was lost apparently, that ball of pure depression and frustration of a person there on the other side of the cabin … That was a whole different deal. Charles was a lying asshole, but Scott had to admit reluctantly, his mentor probably hadn’t been off about at least some of his lectures in the course of his years anyway. Including all those about restraint and a good, firm check on Scott's emotions, especially when he didn’t have all the information on a situation yet.
Before he could think of a badly needed apology, the stranger looked up again with that terrible lost expression in a pair of sunken dark eyes, a hard tug around broad lips that let the guy look older than his genes should allow. "And no. It was right after deserting that my arch-enemy killed the girl right in front of my eyes just to hurt me. That's one of the memories not even amnesia couldn’t wipe out. Fireworks had just started if you need to know. That made it easier. Drowned out the screams."
And just like that, Scott suddenly seriously considered cutting a hole in that damn floor below him and climbing out towards the nearest exit never to return. Talk about putting his damn foot in his mouth.
******
When the silence became too deafening, Scott started talking again, not least to maybe try to make it clear to the stranger why he'd just been such an ass. And also because he felt it wouldn’t have been fair, leaving him in the dark about them both having been used from afar by the same person in some way.
Janitor guy didn’t seem too surprised by his story, not even really commenting on it save for a bitter snort and a headshake, which in turn probably shouldn’t surprise Scott. Ferals came with a brilliant set of instincts usually, especially regarding people they shouldn’t trust.
That was something Scott especially on this night once more wished he would have had himself. "Xavier took me in after I'd made it on my own in foster homes and on the streets for a couple of years. At that time, I was far too grateful for that to realize, the guy just needed someone to lead the new strike team he was building. Don’t get me wrong, I'm still grateful to him, and I don't think it's a bad thing what he's doing, trying to keep the peace between our kind and normal humans. But I already got a mutation that doesn’t leave me the freedom of choice in many regards. After the first few missions and when my relationship with a teammate fell apart because work and fun don’t go together for me, apparently … I realized I'd never actually stopped to think if this was what I wanted. Guess that is what I came here for to find out. To see if there's another path in my life I want to take. And now I think I found one."
The stranger regarded him thoughtfully over the edge of his cigar that he'd somehow forgotten to light again in the last few minutes, and patted the bench next to him invitingly. "Logan. My name. Or just call me idiot, I guess," he said with a rueful grin when Scott dropped next to him. A mutually apologetic nod exchanged had the last of hard feelings fade away. "Scott, right? Well, let me tell you from experience, when it comes to decisions like this, I think is awfully vague. For how long have you had these?" He nodded at Scott's glasses with still that pensive frown.
"I was twelve. It happened shortly after my parents died and my brother vanished. That plane crash rendered the control over those damn blasts useless, for a lifetime, from all that Charles' doctors could find out." Scott rubbed his eyes under his glasses as he felt his headache grow stronger as if his mutation wanted to comment on the whole situation … or rear up in protest because it knew exactly what was coming tonight. Hopefully. "When I heard about the Cure, that was when I started questioning my role with Charles. I know there's no guarantee it even works, and there's no long-term studies yet but … Thing is, I didn’t think I would even get a chance at a shot so quickly. I just won the damn ticket when they did one of these case study lotteries. That's not a chance you waste. I'm not proud of running, Logan. I've been fighting for our race, for our cause, for years. But …" He paused, leaning his head back against the elevator wall, not sure he could make it clear to someone with enhanced senses and a healing factor erasing every pain and injury within seconds, what he had to deal with.
He actually expected Logan to try and talk him out of this again. Instead, the guy brushed the back of Scott's hand where it was tensely clenching on his jeans. He was even nice enough to ignore Scott's heart immediately beating faster in his chest again. "Show me?"
"Yeah, not happening." With a strained chuckle, Scott bravely fought his increasingly impure thoughts at the sight of those really beautiful pair of lips, those soulful eyes so close to him now. "The only device that keeps these blasts somewhat in check is in my apartment. You don't want to catch one of these by accident, believe me, healing factor or not. I've hurt too many people before when I didn’t close my eyes quickly enough; not gonna do that again."
"You can hold them back with your body though, right?" Logan reached up for a just as short touch along the straps of his glasses on Scott's temple, the cigar vanished somewhere in his jacket for good. "Come on, use your fingers. Take these apart for me?" He nodded down on the heap of decorations on the floor. "We ain't got nothing to do in here but party tricks for the moment. And you'd do me a favor, honestly."
Because such a thin blast through two fingertips with one eye admittedly was one of his easier tricks, and because Logan seemed truly interested, Scott finally gave in, shooting paper and plastic to his feet into particles before quickly slipping his glasses back into place. "What about you?" he asked with a weak grin when his new friend stared at the pitiful remains of those decorations with large eyes, back to being speechless again for a moment.
Logan silently got up, standing on the bench to stretch to the damn hatch. With a bright, menacing snikt-sound, a blade of pure metal protruded from between his knuckles, neatly cutting the lock in two.
"Just in case you still want to pull that stunt," he remarked dryly, sitting down again when Scott stared back and forth between him and the grate with his mouth ajar.
"I think I'll pass." The damn appointment for the moment almost forgotten, Scott couldn’t help but reach out to that rough feeling spot at the back of Logan's hand where only a faint trail of body fluid the same color as his glasses spoke of the already closed injury from that claw. "That's gotta hurt like a bitch."
"Not usually the first thing people wonder about if they see them," Logan stated quietly after long stunned seconds, his hand slowly turning to grab Scott's before he could pull it away. "And you? You're in pain too. Your breathing's off," he explained with a weak smile when Scott gasped.
"It's … something I'm used to," Scott answered after a moment of hesitation, staring down at their linked fingers, entirely at a loss about why he didn’t pull away. Maybe this long-missed touch of someone caring about him, beyond how useful he could be to them, just felt far too good. Especially while he tried to put into words what he'd been so determined to no longer question this morning. "I just started wondering at some point if I really had to when there was maybe another way. That constant pressure from the blasts being held back … That's one thing. But always being a danger to people and never being able to see the world for what it really is … When the invitation for my Cure shot came, for tonight, of all days …" He tilted his head back again, with a longing stare into the darkness, at the building ceiling over which the first quiet bangs of isolated rockets going off early had started to sound, loud enough even for non-enhanced ears. "It felt like fate. It's been a decade since I was last allowed to see a firework, Logan. I haven’t entirely forgotten yet how beautiful they are. Sometimes I wonder if it would be easier if I did, if I no longer saw colors in my dreams and memory. I want to take this chance before I forget completely."
"Dunno, bub." Logan unexpectedly let go of him, that skeptical darkness and a now very clear hint of worry returning to his tense posture as he lit his cigar again. "As far as I'm concerned? You see a lot clearer than most people I've met in my life."
To that, Scott didn’t know what to say so he decided to stay silent again for a while.
*****
With the time window shrinking by the second, resignation set in at some point. When the noise of the fireworks outside grew louder and louder, Scott didn’t even dare check his phone for the time anymore, the depressing silence starting to become painful. "Doesn’t seem like we'll be found anytime soon. Too bad you made me ruin those decorations. Here I was just thinking we could have our own party."
"Told ya, I don’t do New Year's." Logan chuckled, the argument that wasn’t even really one fortunately over.
"All the more a reason to replace those horrible memories of yours with better dreams." Gathering all his courage, Scott reached for Logan's hand again, his heart immediately hammering in his chest when an increasingly interested, curious glance met his, the man next to him licking his lips in a gesture almost too brief to notice … if you hadn’t been waiting or it. "Come on! Ball's dropping only once a year. Not sure about the time, but people do usually kiss at midnight, right?"
"No idea. I'm not a traditional guy as you might have noticed," Logan warned him, but it came with a lot less bite this time. "Since we are in this together, though …" And without having to talk much about it, they both knew, that wasn’t only true for their little predicament in this damn cabin tonight. But those were matters early enough talked about again tomorrow. It was far more interesting suddenly how those beautiful lips looked from up close, slightly opened as they were slowly approaching …
And then the damn elevator cabin started to move again.
Scott wasn’t finished yet cursing all the damn fortune gods of this verse by the time they reached the ground floor to a crowd of impatient other tenants already waiting. Some technician in a grey uniform grinned at them proudly, for having been so fast, and there was even someone Logan knew, judging by the exhausted groan on his lips.
"The fuck are you doing here, Wade?"
"Getting you to the party I told you about of course. Since you didn’t answer your phone, I came here to see what was up. You should thank me." The guy who was obviously off to a costume ball, judging by the red and black latex suit covering both his body and face. Wrapping his arm around Logan's shoulders, he entirely ignored his friend's reluctance and warning growls, dragging him with him towards the exit. "Who's that cute ass over there? You two made good use of that hour in the cabin, huh?"
"Shut it, Wade. Get out of here. Told ya, I'm not coming." Logan pushed the overly excited weirdo out the front door and turned back to Scott, looking definitely a little regretful himself about the sudden end of their little adventure. "So. You can still make it to City Hall, I think."
"Yeah, gotta run." Only Scott didn’t feel like saying goodbye yet, not like this, not after what had almost just happened. "How about I buy us a bottle of booze on my way home? We could watch a movie or something."
"From all I heard about those drugs, you'll spend the next two weeks puking your guts out, bub. But if you're still game after that … Apartment 1C." At least no longer that aggressive about Scott's choice, Logan pulled him in for a hug, this time not even sparing his friend a glance who was already sticking his head through that door again, whistling at them. "No one can take this decision off your shoulders, Shades. Might wanna remember though that new chances don't expire at midnight on New Year's. Just don’t do something you might regret. Now get the hell out of here."
"Going." Quickly turning away before the other man could see the returning unsettled frown on his face and possibly throw him off balance for good, Scott hurried away.
****
Somehow, he'd known, the whole time. Maybe he'd even hoped for it a little. In any case, the last tears of humiliation about the disparaging comments from these damn doctor hacks immediately dried behind Scott's glasses when he left the City Hall behind and suddenly saw Logan standing right before him, softly pulling him back into his arms as if not a second had passed since they'd parted in the hallway.
"Still got your Ray Bans, huh?" It wasn’t a question and certainly not one of surprise.
"I balked when they came with the needle," Scott admitted, shuddering in the stranger's arms at the memory of these cold sterile facilities, all these people who were so eager to reduce the number of mutants on this planet as quickly and thoroughly as possible … Christ, what had he been thinking? "I told them I needed more time to think. They said, if I go now, I wouldn’t need to bother coming back. And that I was ruining my only chance at a proper, normal life."
"I hoped you blasted them in their stupid asses." Logan growled at that building as if he was about to storm it and rip all people and equipment for this special procedure parade of the Worthington Labs tonight there to pieces.
Scott decided they could both find something better to do on the last night of the year than spending time in a holding cell and buried his hands wordlessly in Logan's hair to pull him down for a kiss. It was a fantastic, mindblowing first touch full of yearning and bliss, and greed that only ended when the increasing number of fireworks and the deafening cheers from the distance let them know, the ball had dropped at Time Square. "Happy New Year, stranger."

ended up having to take the cat back yesterday 😔 she was really sweet and loving, but every day she got more talkative and the meowing was driving my anxiety levels up to unmanageable levels. Now that I’m being more conscious of how sensory input makes me feel, instead of repressing all of it, I’m realizing that cat rubbing against bare ankles = feels like a metal brush. It puts a lot of my experience with Jonesy into better perspective and has helped me understand why I would get so unreasonably angry with him when he wasn’t doing anything wrong, and why my mental health started deteriorating when I was living on my own with him.
Anyways it was making it very difficult for me to spend time with her, and my body kind of just shut down on Tuesday. And THEN she started trying to get into Saichi’s cage despite repeated redirection and deterrents, and that was something I couldn’t allow. Basically everything that I’d been watching out for in the first week of her stay happened in the second week.
I felt really bad about having to return her, and I’ve never had to give up an animal before so it was really difficult. But neither of us were happy, and I’m just glad I was able to recognize it early enough that she wasn’t fully attached. She was really sweet and precious and I hope she finds someone who can let her happily jabber away 😔
Anyways I’m having to come to terms with the fact that I may not ever be able to have a cat of my own again, which really sucks. But even 24 hours without a cat in the house has made my executive function levels skyrocket, so I think that’s a clear a sign as any. Also I’ve started wearing noise canceling headphones in public more often and it’s made a big difference in the amount of energy I have by the time I get home. It feels like I’m starting to figure things out, which makes me really optimistic about what I’ll be able to do in the future.

Cryptocurrency Trading Strategies for Beginners: A Roller Coaster Ride You Didn't Know You Signed Up For
Okay, let me start by saying that trading crypto is not like picking apples in an orchard. It's more like trying to juggle flaming oranges while riding a unicycle... blindfolded. You might think, "That sounds ridiculous!" Well, welcome to the cryptocurrency world. It's unpredictable, volatile, and somehow mesmerizing—like a cat chasing a laser pointer in the middle of a hurricane. One moment, you think you have it all figured out, and the next, poof! The market shifts, and you’re left wondering if you’ve accidentally bought a warehouse full of bananas.
Anyway, enough about fruit and unicycles. Let’s talk strategies.
HODLing: The Old Reliable (Except When It's Not)
HODLing—which, by the way, started as a typo but has somehow become the ultimate crypto meme—is one of the most popular beginner strategies. The idea is simple: you buy a cryptocurrency, and you, well, hold on to it. You wait for the moonshot, for Bitcoin or Ethereum to skyrocket to some magical number like $100,000, and you imagine buying that mansion with a golden jacuzzi (if that's your thing). Of course, no one really knows if that moonshot will come. I mean, sure, according to "some study" that I can't quite remember, Bitcoin was supposed to hit $500,000 by last year. Did it? No. Will it? Who knows! Maybe when pigs fly, but hey—stranger things have happened.
I tried HODLing once. It was back in, uh, what year was that again? Maybe 2017? Or was it 2018? No, it was definitely after my neighbor's cat got stuck in a tree, which was... never mind. I thought I could HODL my way to financial freedom, but all I got was anxiety and some sleepless nights. Not everyone has the stomach for this—maybe because it's not a strategy; it's just an emotional roller coaster with no seatbelt.
Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA): For the Patient Among Us
Then there’s dollar-cost averaging, also known as DCA. Basically, you buy a fixed amount of cryptocurrency at regular intervals—whether the market is up, down, or sideways. Imagine you're buying tiny scoops of ice cream regardless of whether it's a heatwave or a blizzard. Sounds good, right? It's a relatively chill strategy, but let's be honest, it's kind of boring too. It's not the "let's get rich quick" scheme people want, but it is the "let's not accidentally go broke" strategy. I know someone who’s been DCA-ing into Ethereum since the days when it was the price of a fancy Starbucks drink. He’s still holding—probably waiting for a day when he can exchange that Ethereum for a villa in Spain or, at the very least, pay off his student loans.
The FOMO-Driven Frenzy: Let’s Get Reckless!
We can't talk about trading without mentioning FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). And boy, does FOMO hit hard. Imagine you're at a party, and everyone’s talking about this "next big thing." You want to be in on it. So you buy in, usually right after the price has already shot up, and you're riding that high until… well, it usually tanks right after. FOMO is like showing up to a party right as the DJ decides to pack up and leave. Sure, it might work out—maybe you'll catch the last song. But more often than not, you’re left wondering why you paid the cover charge.
And then there’s the other side of FOMO: panic selling. Let me tell you, nothing feels worse than selling in a panic only to watch the market recover five minutes later. It's like giving up on a roller coaster ride because it’s too scary, only to realize it’s just a small dip before the big, glorious rise. But honestly, who knows? Maybe the roller coaster is just falling apart—no one ever really knows, and that’s the fun part… or the terrifying part, depending on your perspective.
Technical Analysis: Learning to Read Tea Leaves
Technical analysis is like trying to predict the weather by staring at clouds—except these clouds are price charts, and you’re trying to spot something called a "head and shoulders pattern" instead of deciding whether you need an umbrella. You’ve got candles, lines, charts, and then someone says the words "Fibonacci retracement," and it feels like you just entered a math class you never signed up for. I’ve dabbled in this, and let me tell you, I still have no idea what I’m doing. It’s like when people ask if a rainbow signifies good luck—you just smile, nod, and pretend you know what's going on.
I once drew lines on a Bitcoin chart and thought I’d cracked the secret to untold wealth. Turns out, I was just doodling. If you think you can master it, go ahead! I’ll just be over here, drawing pretty triangles and pretending they mean something profound.
Diversification: The "Don't Put All Your Eggs in One Basket" Thing
You know, the one that everyone always says—diversify. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. If I had a dollar for every time someone said that to me, I’d probably have enough to... well, buy another basket. The idea here is simple: don’t bet everything on Bitcoin. Spread it out—some Bitcoin, some Ethereum, maybe even a little bit of that dog coin (you know the one I’m talking about). This way, if one crashes, maybe something else takes off. Or maybe they all crash. Hey, no one said this was risk-free.
I remember, back in 2020, I tried diversifying by investing in five different altcoins. One of them skyrocketed—and the other four, well, they’re probably worth less than my morning coffee now. Did it work? Sort of. Would I recommend it? I mean... maybe. It’s like wearing mismatched socks—you never know which one’s going to get noticed, but at least you tried.
Final Thoughts: Is There a Point?
So, are these strategies foolproof? Absolutely not. None of them are. Honestly, crypto trading is more like trying to herd cats than anything else—there’s a lot of chaos, not much predictability, and at the end of the day, you just hope that some of them end up where you need them to be. Whether you choose to HODL, DCA, diversify, or dive into technical analysis, remember that nobody really knows what’s going on.
I guess the takeaway here is, if you want to get into crypto trading, don’t be afraid to fail. Also, don’t put your life savings into it—unless you really enjoy stress and have a particular affinity for biting your nails. Otherwise, take it easy, play around, learn from your mistakes, and, for heaven’s sake, never listen to that random stranger at the bar who claims to be an expert in crypto. Because, spoiler alert: they’re probably just as clueless as you.
And hey, if you’re still feeling brave, why not check out platforms like WhiteBit or Binance? They make trading kind of easy—well, at least as easy as riding that unicycle through a hurricane of flaming oranges. Fun, right?

no time left to spend or give (7/29/2024)
Good morning, fellow earthling.
It's a bit of a joke to be saying "good morning" at almost 2 AM as of writing this, but that's how the universe rolls sometimes. I didn't officially "wake up" until after 11 PM, you see. On the night of July 26, I lay in bed for over twelve hours, my mind a chaotic tumbleweed of existential dread and swirling thoughts. My brain felt like a corporate office gone rogue, with every thought a misplaced memo. I suspect the root of this madness might be my recent weed habits—or lack thereof. For two weeks, I had been dosing myself with 25 to 50 mg of THC gummies to numb the relentless ache of a back injury from my day job (well technically I work the night shift, but you're not here for semantics). The first sober night in ages turned my brain into a nonstop ferris wheel of anxiety. I finally crashed around 1:30 PM on July 27, which meant I didn't rise until about 9 PM. Those sleepless hours of mind-wandering and needing to get my thoughts out were the catalyst for this very blog, so there’s some Mundane Supernova lore for you.
The catch? I was exhausted but not quite tired enough to fall back asleep. I had to leave the house before 10 AM on July 28 to catch Deadpool & Wolverine at the AMC with my boyfriend, his dad, and his brothers. By the time I staggered back home around 2 PM, I was so drained I fell into a deep, all-consuming slumber. And now it's Monday, I have to work tonight, and my sleep schedule is a glorious mess. It’s not the first time I’ve turned my life into a sleep-deprivation circus, and it certainly won’t be the last. That’s just my cross to bear.
Anyway, about an hour ago, I was lounging on the backyard patio, jamming out to my phone while waiting for my sweet potato fries to finish in the air fryer. The song Diplomat by Swimming With Dolphins came on. If you haven't checked out this band, I highly recommend it. Even if some of their tracks veer into a bit of religious preaching, their music has that same ethereal, dreamy vibe as Owl City. Fun fact: Adam Young of Owl City helped kickstart the band, though I don't think he's involved anymore.
Diplomat is an anthem for the overworked and underfulfilled. It’s about a high-flying businessman feeling crushed by the corporate grind. The chorus go:
"I'm trying to find the means to living more passionately Cause I'm not who I wanna be Buried in routines, I don't care what happens to me I just gotta get free"
It struck a chord with me, making me reflect on my own workplace ambitions. Like many fellow leftists, I think it’s high time America rethinks its work culture. Living costs have skyrocketed, even in my small state of Oklahoma. It’s downright nauseating. We’re trapped in a reality where an average blue-collar worker like me must either endure endless overtime or juggle a second job just to keep afloat. I’m fortunate to work for a company I actually enjoy, with coworkers who feel like family. But even with a decent $22/hour wage, I’m still scrambling to cover bills. What’s a soul to do? I could dive into even more debt with going back to college or trade school, but high-paying jobs aren’t a given. I could seek another job, but I already sit at the top tier of blue-collar pay in this city. More overtime? Just a band-aid on a gaping wound. As the opening line of Diplomat laments:
"Live to work, work to live No time left to spend or give"
It’s frustrating and disheartening, reflecting on what this says about us as a nation and a culture. I’ve got plenty more to say on this topic, and I’ll dive deeper into my work history in a future entry, explaining why, despite everything, I prefer the gritty reality of blue-collar work over the sterile confines of office life.
Until then, hang in there. Take your PTO, use your sick days, and don’t let your boss dictate your existence.

Ruined fireworks yesterday i was in such a crazy mood. I barely even looked at them. Mostly thru trees i seem to get kind of crazy during fireworks for some reason. Maybe it's overstimulation. But nothing compared to this. River was very high, up to the benches and walkway where slightly lower. I thought maybe i should go in it. (Not even thinking about my cats) i wanted to do something no one else was doing
Well . I already had a headache all day. (Yesterday at sisters, drove back partly) and my leg hurt from the giant dog running into my calf while playing volleyball, which im really bad at, making my niece respect me even less. No fireworks on 4th bc rain. I hadn't been to fireworks for like 5 years, i think before covid bc no one wanted to go w me and i didnt want to drive in that mess, even less now that my insurance is skyrocketing. Mom agreed to go down even though 8 is her bed time. Parked a ways away to get place to park. Hard to walk bc my leg hurt. Instead of empathizing mom said walking is good for injury (?!?) That's what my dad always said. And im like, not even a day for rest? And she doesnt agree at all u need to rest to heal which makes no sense to me but she doesn't back down and at that moment i felt i needed empathy not a peptalk. And i was feeling bad bc headache just got over. And stress of being w ppl all week (2 days) and driving. Ans maybe im sick or sth ...
I sat on bench w sister and niece and she tries not to sit beside me again idk where that came from i knew her all her life suddenly she decides not to like me sit besife me or talk to me. You knie what that does to someone w self esteem issues and social anxiety. There is no way i can approach her i get mad. She asks sister and mom to play a game but doesnt w me. I might blow up. So i walk away. But that tutned out to be a bad idea too
Go thru crowd thinking theyre all looking at me and go look at the rising river. Interesting. Cool. And the fair... i have no moneey. The one time i decide not to bring my purse.... jewelry ina booth i have no money, sorry. Well at least i cant spend anything.
Im also mad at men for some reason. Probably the root reason-- dad never pays attentjon to me or acts like im a hunan being im all in a up and weird mood. I don't back down as men cone toward me i hit one w my elbow. That feels good to not give way to men all the time. I keep doing that by "accident. They say theyre sorry (1)
Then get to paying oart accidentally and panic theyll find me and so i go back thru crowd
But.
Someone took my seat on the bench beside my family and besides they dont care if im there so i keep going look for place. Want to do somethjng no one else is doing (1 guy on bench in water -- i wouldve done it if he didnt). Fireworks starting. I go down to some rocks at end of walkwat but some suspicious looking men there in a Group im like i dont want to be raped in the dark. I go uo and down agaij to flat rock just above where river surging. And i tear leaves off of buckthorn branches bc theyre invasive anyway. Some girl is down there ln another rock im tired by now. Can't see Fireworks very well but no other places to go now and too tired to look. Some other older lone large man sitting up there looking at me. Ugh i lay down on the flat rock.
Then someone comes down i think theyll see me but they dont and nearly step on me and the dog steps on my hair. After all this. I try to get io but my leg goes into water getting my shoe wet i hate wet shoes, they begin to smell, and i don't have money for more. I am so mad at that man and also his dog. I go up and say :i hate people audibly. That fat guy watching. Im like im not going to let them win and chase me out. People that feel theyre all that better than me bc they dont have old clothes and frizzy hair and glasses (i didnt want to do anything to look nice etc . I felt too bad all day. I thought it shouldn't matter and. Ppl blend in crowds..) i hardly see the fireworks. Then the man goes back up and . I . Run into him. "Accidentally"
