A last minute submission for @theartguard December-January theme "Light and Dark".

When I saw this prompt I was thinking about contrasts and opposites. And I love the trope of an opposites attract couple. So I think Nicky and Joe are fitting this really well - Joe's soulful anime eyes vs Nicky's blue eyed stare; Joe's outgoing personality vs Nicky's more guarded and introverted one; Joe pretty much always with a smile on his face vs Nicky often having a resting bitch-face going on (same tho). And a personal favorite Headcanon of mine: fashion icon Joe vs Nicky "I'll buy the same gray shirt 5 times because it kinda fits and who even needs a hairdresser, I can do it myself "

(tho Nicky is looking hot hot hot in the sequel scenes so far 🔥 exciting times are upon us!)

Every year in December I feel like I haven't done enough.

This year is no exception. I have barely did anything, haven't I?

I think that's why it's important to look behind every once in a while.

Maybe this year I didn't draw as much as I wanted, but we made a bunch of awesome projects.

First ever enamel pin collection, 80 pages hardcover artbook, two new affirmation decks and more pins, yay! 🎉

All of this required so much work and passion from our team. And yeah, maybe I'm a perfectionist and you can always do more and better. But I think now is the moment to appreciate everything that was done.

It might have been unperfect and not always on time, but we did it anyway ❤️‍🔥
