The Untamed modern au, wangxian, gender changes, wlw, identity shenanigans, texting, food as a gateway for love, university, light angst, misunderstandings, G. wei ying flirts with the driver who delivers her food orders via text, not knowing who they are, and it has no connection at all to lan zhan, her classmate! i love this little fic. its fun and silly and sweet and makes me go all warm inside, its exactly what i need when im down. i remember that u dont prefer school fics but maybe u like this??? there is not much serious school stuff happening there aside from the opportunity for wei ying to flirt with lan zhan since theyre classmates

WOH, wenzhou, modern au, story told in posts, G. wen kexing tries to woe the most handsome man in the world. zhou zishu needs advice to get rid of a weird creep. these things are not at all related, why would u think that! its been a few weeks but i read this when i was having an extremely bad night and it lifted my spirits!!!!!! livinginaworldofnoise is one of my fav fandom authors, theyre so good at balancing rawness with humour. and i like how this fic transplants wkx from canon to a modern setting and shifts into an outsider‘s pov (the reddit community, this is told in posts), which automatically removes any context that would explain his Behaviour and Attitudes. i mean, wkx is actually disturbing! if u dont know why he is the way he is agdgdgdg

The Untamed, MDZS, modern au, wangxian, background niehuan. gender changes (EVERYONE is a lesbian except for jiang cheng, who is the token gay man), wlw, house parties, drunk kissing, chaotic friend groups, casual queerness, T. wei ying and lan zhan meet on a house party the jins are hosting. sparks fly. highly recommend to read this together with its sequel!

the only place you wanna be by aiyexayen. WOH canon divergence/fix-it, gu xiang/wen kexing/zhou zishu, background wenzhou, four seasons manor arc, multiple pov, gu xiang-centric, introspection, non-sexual intimacy, hurt/comfort, angst, found family, rarepairings, polyships, M. zhou zishu has a problem, and its just as annoying and confusing as wen kexing. gu xiang realizes that the lao bing gui her zhuren keeps following around might be a little bit good-looking. wen kexing rearranges his perspective of what it means to him to care for his silly little girl. while they all live at four seasons manor, things develop. this fic single-handledly changed my brain chemistry! and the dynamics are so warm and so gah!!!! also aiyex shared a little of the bts process of working on it here!!!!!

“I think Master Beliya’al is someone respectable. …Very unique.��

• Cloche is careful around Beliya’al. Whether if it’s admiration or fear, she can’t tell. Though she feels a little uneasy around him, Cloche appreciates Beliya’al’s gentleness with her and the other first years. In fact, she’s glad there’s a seemingly responsible, mature figure in Ramshackle. If anything, Cloche likes that Beliya’al can be direct and get his point across. While Beliya’al’s comparisons of rowdier students to dogs may be …questionable, Cloche agrees with them wholeheartedly.

• Cloche adores Beliya’al’s fashion! Especially that harness he has. She’d be happy to ask him or talk to him about it, if the opportunity ever comes. Prior Twisted Wonderland, she did dress on the edgier side too.

• Tails…? Appendages…? Lashers…? What are those things—?! No, Cloche isn’t necessarily scared of them (okay, maybe a little), but more intrigued. It doesn’t help that whenever she catches a glimpse of them moving in action, the cat within her wants to paw/swat it so badly.

• Cloche is fascinated by Beliya’al’s species. She wonders what kind of world he would have come from. She is curious of the brooch on his tie, thinking it looks familiar to a certain symbol from Earth.

“It’s good seeing you in Mr. S’ Mystery Shop, Master Beliya’al. …As you can guess, I’m on an errand again.”

❄️ ⇢ what's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?

You know, my dream plot isn't even a dream. It really happened. Imagine two lawyers who served in the armed forces during World War II. One was a highly decorated bomber pilot, the other served in the WAVES. They both decide to serve on the Nuremberg trials staff and meet on the boat to Europe. Within two weeks, they fall in love. She tells him she has to ask her father if they can get married. He does, but the father is not enthusiastic. "I guess we have our answer," he tells her. She shakes her head. "I said you had to ask him. I didn't say he had to say yes." And they get married and bring the Nazis to trial and return to New York and have kids and live happily ever after.

The story of Robert and Phillis and Rosenthal is amazing and I love them, and I think @mercurygray would do an excellent job of writing their story if she wasn't busy providing us with so many great new MotA characters. (I think she might love Phillis as much as I do, too.)

Last Song: Line of Fire by José González, a re-recording of his 2013 version of the song as Junip. It was magical hearing that song again, his voice is so so beautiful.

Favourite colour: I used to always say red is my favourite colour but you wouldn't guess that from the way I live my life and I think that's bc red doesn't often come in the things I like it best for. Or at least, there are barriers like cost or sizing unavailability etc. And I think in reality I have a favourite colour for specific things, like I love when indoor plants have purple leaves and I love using hot pink tape to repair things and I like pastel greens blues and pinks for furniture and decor and I love wearing silver and looking like a space rock and I love reblogging blue things. And the thing about red is that it often doesn't go with the previously mentioned colours so I don't really know why I'm still so attached to red except that maybe it's my obsession with Vanessa Beecroft's red stockings on red high heels that was used in one of her performance artworks that has cemented my love for red since high school.

Last movie/TV show: Renfield 2023 (I thought this was hilarious tbqh), and Mr & Mrs Smith for the tv show (firm believer that anything Hiro Murai touches is pure gold).

Relationship status: coming up to 15 years w my partner in April

“I can’t say Master Ashi is a friend… but we get can along.”

• Cloche is very lukewarm about Ashi. She doesn’t harbour a strong like or dislike, as Ashi seems to be one of the more normal individuals— albeit a little too overwhelmingly energetic for Cloche. Despite this, Cloche commends Ashi’s cheerfulness, and respects the strength she has to never show a frown. Admittedly, Cloche thought Ashi’s bubbling positivity to be annoying at first, until after noticing how… static it was. As a skeptic who hates leaving stones unturned, Cloche can’t help but feel like there’s something more.

• Another artist, huh? Cloche would follow Ashi’s art account on Magicam (or whichever social media). She’d enjoy being able to converse with another artist and ask for Ashi’s thoughts on things, regarding designs or palette choices. Cloche is also intrigued in what Ashi would bring to the table. Each artist has their own interpretation after all.

• Cloche doesn’t mind seeing Ashi and Ace show off a little in public. Key word, a little. With Binding Bells, Cloche can feel like a third-wheel when she’s not even in their vicinity.

• In the end, if Cloche takes Ashi at face value and dismisses her own suspicions, Ashi’s lack of a concise opinion tick her off a little. She can understand how there may be some “go with the flow” kinds of people who genuinely doesn’t mind doing anything, but Cloche thinks the ambiguity is a hindrance that may slow down or complicate communication.
