#mutual aid is the sharing of resources. it is not charity. it is not donating money to someone based on their demographics.

DONATION LINKS
I want to share places of support that I have personally used to donate to Palestine and Lebanon. It can be tricky knowing where to donate due to the overwhelming amount of gofundme's and uncertainty of where to send support.
I want to offer these sites in case it might help anyone tracking donation sites down. These have been recommended to me via friends and through work.
PALESTINE Gaza Online Healing Our Homeland Medical Professionals in Gaza Unity for Gaza Gaza Emergency Fund
LEBANON Lebanese Food bank Save the Children- Lebanon Doctors without Borders
Any little bit helps, and I'll update this as I come across more. Remember to never stop talking about the genocide. I hope that this post does help someone and we can all make a difference.

before you ask your poor internet followers for money for something that, for example, advances your career that you already have out of privilege, and try to call it “mutual aid”, check out this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_aid

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but I’ve run into some of these organizations as places to donate, and it's fine for my followers to share other lists that have gone around. (I'm not going to be offended.) This is version three with some organizations that include long-term goals of Israeli-Palestinian cooperation and peace in addition to the initial organizations offering emergency aid. Organizations are listed alphabetically.
Alliance for Middle East Peace
ALLMEP is a coalition of over 160 organizations—and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and Israelis—building cooperation, justice, equality, shared society, mutual understanding, and peace among their communities. We add stability in times of crisis, foster cooperation that increases impact, and build an environment conducive to peace over the long term. (Even if you're not really keen on supporting AllMEP itself, searching Member Organizations may also be a way to find organizations based on sectors - environment, women, youth, etc. - or type - Palestinian, Cross Border, or Shared Society.)
American Friends of Magen David Adom
The most common way I’ve seen recommendations for USAmericans to donate to Magen David Adom. (Additional Friends Societies are on Magen David Adom’s site for other countries.)
As a fully-fledged member of the International Red Cross / Red Crescent, Magen David Adom serves as the Israeli Red Cross organization.
Anera
Anera, which has no political or religious affiliation, works on the ground with partners in Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), Lebanon and Jordan. We mobilize resources for immediate emergency relief and for sustainable, long-term health, education, and economic development. Our staff serve in their communities, navigating the politics that constrict progress to get help where it’s needed most.
A Land For All
A Land for All is a shared movement of Israelis and Palestinians who believe that the way towards peace, security and stability for all passes through two independent states, Israel and Palestine, within a joint framework allowing both peoples to live together and apart.
Doctors Without Border/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
An independent organization “focused on delivering emergency medical humanitarian aid quickly, effectively, and impartially.” This link goes to the Palestinian Territories section.
Friends of Roots
We are a network of local Palestinians and Israelis [in the West Bank] who have come to see each other as the partners we both need to make changes to end our conflict. Based on a mutual recognition of each People's connection to the Land, we are developing understanding and solidarity despite our ideological differences. Ongoing Initiatives include interreligious exchange, a women's group, partnership lectures, a children's summer camp, youth group, after school program, incident response team, and community de-escalators.
Hand in Hand
Hand in Hand is building inclusion and equality between Arab and Jewish citizens of Israel through a growing network of bilingual, integrated schools and communities. [...] The curricula in Hand in Hand’s schools are based on values that reflect both cultures and languages, oriented in multiculturalism and shared and equal citizenship. In our bilingual educational model, Hebrew and Arabic have equal status, as do both cultures and national narratives. Our thousands-strong adult community members come together year-round in celebration, solidarity, and dialogue. These community activities are geared towards parents, staff, and other active citizens who are interested in taking part in a shared community. We believe it is not apt to place the burden of creating a shared future on the shoulders of our children. We, the adults, must lead the way. These community activities are an inseparable part of our work towards building a shared society.
MAUSA - Muslim Aid USA
An international charity that provides assistance from natural disasters and conflict. They have a specific Palestine Emergency page.
Mrs Najah’s Kitchen
Emergency food relief in Gaza.
Off The Grid Missions
Off-The-Grid Missions (OTG) is a global humanitarian aid organization filling the gap in disaster-response by providing Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people with critical life-saving resources in high-risk and disaster-stricken regions around the world.
Depending on the mission, aid can include assistance with evacuations, providing food, solar lighting and emergency electric sources, and assisting with alternatives to sound based warning systems. (Assistance with Deaf and Hard-of-hearing individuals in Palestine and Israel has been mentioned on quickly updated social media sites, like Facebook.)
Palestine Red Crescent Society
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is an officially recognized independent Palestinian National Society. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
Standing Together
Standing Together is a grassroots movement mobilizing Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel in pursuit of peace, equality, and social and climate justice. We organize protests across the country demanding economic equality, climate justice, and an end to the occupation. We hold workshops on grassroots power, organize get-out-the-vote campaigns, and run candidates for student union elections [related to university chapters]. Our alternative media outlet, Rosa Media, produces Hebrew and Arabic podcasts highlighting underrepresented political stories and perspectives from across Israeli society. We maintain a robust presence in Israeli social media – combatting extremist voices and advancing hope.
Women Wage Peace
Women Wage Peace is a broad, politically unaffiliated movement, which is acting to prevent the next war and to promote a non-violent, respectful, and mutually accepted solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with the active participation of women through all stages of negotiations.
World Central Kitchen
World Central Kitchen is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.
They have response teams and partners in Gaza, Israel, Lebanon, and Egypt.
Charity Navigator page for additional organizations for the Israel-Hamas conflict.

WHY YOU SHOULD DONATE DIRECTLY TO GAZANS: 1. Mutual aid projects work to meet survival needs and build shared understanding about why people do not have what they need. 2. Mutual aid projects mobilize people, expand solidarity, and build movements. 3. Mutual aid projects are participatory, solving problems through collective action rather than waiting for saviors. While simply donating to crowdfunding efforts may not fully count as “mutual” aid, it is direct aid. Want to do more? Create or join a group of folks working directly with and alongside Palestinians to create and promote these posts! DIRECT DONATION IS THE ANSWER. -Do you want to provide financial support to Gazans enduring genocide, but have heard donations to charities and non profits will not mean anything because aid is being blocked? The solution is direct donation to Palestinians! THE AID IS NOT MAKING IT THOSE IN NEED. -While there have been many fundraisers for the PCRF and other non-profits in the past 9 months, most of this aid has not reached Palestinians. What little aid does get in is not enough for the millions of displaced people in need. DONATING DIRECTLY HELPS MOST BECAUSE... -ALMOST ALL aid sent by organizations is taken and sold for profit by the occupiers, or a small group of merchants desperate to make money to save their own lives. The physical and psychological torture caused by scarcity of food, tents, electricity, water, inability to escape extreme heat, and loss. many other resources has driven these people to gather more than they need, leaving others without any resources at all. The systemic consequences of capitalism are worldwide and they begin with the colonizer torturing the occupied.

Hi. I don't usually speak up about these issues mainly because I don't exactly have a following, and I'm pretty sure only mutuals will be able to see this post.
But—
Let's open our eyes to what's going on for a second. Let's take a break from consuming things that distract us from reality. From what's been happening across the sea. From the tides that are ebbing and flowing with the blood of the innocent. From the cries of children, mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters stripped of their home and of their lives.
From the people who are desperately reaching out to us for help.
I have been privileged enough not to wake to the sounds of bombs mere miles from where I'm sleeping. I have been privileged enough to wake up and not smell sulfur and ash in the air. I have been privileged enough not to live in cramped spaces that breed disease, lacking food or clean water.
The people of Palestine need you to amplify their voices. They need you to scream for them now more than ever.
Rafah is currently being bombed and invaded. The border between the Rafah to Egypt crossing is currently being lined with tanks.
I know that it all feels hopeless, but please do not give up. There will be another opportunity. There will be another opening. While the invasion of Rafah is currently taking place, a ceasefire resolution is still being negotiated as we speak. Do NOT give up hope.
I didn't want to make this post without supplementing it with something that is actionable, but as someone with little means to help monetarily, I understand if you cannot directly donate to the links provided below. However, please do not underestimate your voice. Being able to spread this to someone who is able to contribute funding is equally as important.
So what can you do?
The simplest thing you can do is share these resources. Share them to as many people as you can. Amplifying the voices of the disparaged means that more people who are able to give aid can be reached. Research any local movements, any protests happening in your city or town, and attend them if you can.
And when your voice is hoarse from speaking, from screaming. When your legs hurt from the march. When you aren't able to reach as far as you can, as you want to, as you need to, the next thing you can do is listen. Keep updated on what is happening. Keep your eyes open. The more people mobilize and direct their efforts to help, the more people come up with new ways to give aid. There is always a next step.
Avoid supporting companies who are supporting or are compliant to Israel's genocide. There is a useful app called Boycat that you can scan the barcodes of products with so it can tell you, using its ever-expanding database, if its brand is compliant to ethical standards. One of the current campaigns it's supporting is that of Palestine.
For folks who are able to donate funds, here is a list of charities and fundraisers you can donate to:
eSims For Gaza makes sure that people in Gaza are able to maintain communication with their families overseas, and allows journalists to secure more visibility on what is happening on the field.
The Gaza Sunbirds are a para-cycling team focusing their efforts and resources to helping their community by routing supplies to families in the Gaza strip.
Gxza Health provides telemedicine to the people in Gaza in need of medicine and healthcare. They are partnered with UNRWA to get medication delivered to patients.
Palestine Red Crescent Society is a part of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent and helps facilitate aid to the people in the Gaza strip.
Sulala Animal Rescue is an organization focused on rescuing, treating, and feeding strays in Gaza City, with hopes of possibly opening a permanent shelter with international support.
Medical Aid for Palestinians supports Palestinians by providing medical aid to those who need it.
Anera provides warm meals and facilitates medical aid for refugees in Palestine.
Baitumaal provides emergency aid and poverty relief to communities that are under-privileged, including a service to sponsor children who have been orphaned.
If you want to directly sponsor a Palestinian family, a grassroots movement called Operation Olive Branch is currently working hard to amplify the voices of Palestinians who are in need of funding to escape their current predicament. You can find over 800+ families in the spreadsheet that they maintain, with gofundme campaigns operated by the families themselves. OOB also heads the Perinatal Project, a project that specifically caters to people in need of urgent prenatal, postpartum, and infant care needs.
I will make new posts as time goes on and the more resources I am able to gather, but for now that is all. Please share as much as you can.
From the river to the sea.
Free Palestine

In "honor" of the Hogwarts Legacy release, and all the (rightful) discourse around purchasing it and/or playing it via other means (re: pirating), here are more productive ways to spend your time that don't directly contribute to the eradication of legal and medical rights of marginalized folks.
You could start by checking out and donating to the following LGBTQ+ oriented charity groups and organizations:
Lavender Rights Project, a group dedicated to elevating the power, autonomy, and leadership of the Black intersex & gender diverse community through intersectional legal and social services. -> [ LINK ]
LGBT+ Rights Ghana, who has established a Community Support Fund Initiative to provide support and empower members the beloved Ghanaian LGBTIQ community who are financially constrained. -> [ LINK ]
Marsha P. Johnson Institute, whose mission is to organize, advocate, and heal the Black trans community. -> [ LINK ]
Mermaids UK, who is dedicated to helping transgender, nonbinary, and otherwise gender-diverse children and their families get access to the resources they need (and who has been a primary target of Rowling's hateful attacks) -> [ LINK ]
The Trevor Project, who provides countless resources for LGBTQ+ individuals and the broader community, including access to therapeutic, medical, and financial aid where needed. -> [ LINK ]
The Transgender Law Center, who provides the resources necessary to advance the legal rights of transgender and gender nonconforming people. -> [ LINK ]
You could also check out these organizations dedicated to helping the international Jewish community:
The Lithuanian Jewish Community, who is reviving and rebuilding itself from Soviet oppression during the 1980s. -> [ LINK ]
The JDC International Centre for Community Development, who is devoted to providing an in-depth perspective on the phenomena of Jewish community, identity, and social welfare. -> [ LINK ]
The Anti-Defamation League, whose greater mission is to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. -> [ LINK ]
The Jewish Braille Institute (JBI) International Library, a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the Jewish and general cultural needs of visually impaired, blind, physically handicapped and reading disabled individuals worldwide. -> [ LINK ]
If you want to get more involved, then check out and donate to the following mutual aid groups and spaces to help local and international communities:
Buy Nothing Project -> [ LINK ]
Food not Bombs -> [ LINK ]
Foundations for Intentional Community -> [ LINK ]
Freedges Community Pantries -> [ LINK ]
Industrial Workers of the World -> [ LINK ]
It's Going Down -> [ LINK ]
Little Free Library -> [ LINK ]
Little Free Pantries -> [ LINK ]
Repair Cafe -> [ LINK ]
Sharing Cities -> [ LINK ]
Slingshot Collective -> [ LINK ]
Transition Network -> [ LINK ]
Trash Nothing -> [ LINK ]
And, if you're still contemplating buying the game, or even pirating it, then here are a few extra steps you can take:
Walk out of your room.
Open your door to the outside of the house.
Walk to the nearest patch of this thing known as "Grass". It looks like green lines on the earth.
Bow down, like you bow down to fascists, onto the grass, and lay your hands on the floor. Really get in there and wiggle your fingers.
Walk back inside.
Be happy!
Rinse and repeat for bonus benefits, such as not being obnoxious on social media.
And, when you log back in to play Hogwarts Legacy, check out this cool image!

Continuing My New Year’s Resolution: Donating to Help The Cathedral Community Fridge for October 2024 Shaina Tranquilino October 1, 2024
Tumblr media
As the year goes on, I’ve been grateful to stay true to my New Year’s resolution of donating to a different cause each month. This October, I’m excited to support an initiative that deeply resonates with me: Help The Cathedral Community Fridge in Regina, Saskatchewan. This organization is tackling food insecurity in a unique and powerful way—entirely community-funded, run by volunteers, and driven by the spirit of mutual aid.
Why I Chose Help The Cathedral Community Fridge
Food insecurity is a growing issue across Canada, and Regina is no exception. The Cathedral Community Fridge provides an immediate and essential solution—food, directly to those in need, every day. What makes this organization even more special is its pure reliance on community support. They don’t receive any government or charity funding. There’s no large-scale nonprofit organization backing them. Instead, they thrive solely on the contributions of neighbors, friends, and generous strangers who understand that community support is the backbone of food security.
This resonated with me because it’s a reminder that we don’t always need massive institutions or bureaucracies to create change. Sometimes, it’s the collective effort of individuals working together that makes the biggest difference. Knowing my donation will help them continue their mission made this month’s choice easy.
What the Donations Support
Help The Cathedral Community Fridge goes beyond just providing food. They’re offering an entire support system for the vulnerable and marginalized in Regina. Here’s a glimpse into the incredible impact they’re making with the funds they receive:
Feeding 100s of people daily: The Fridge ensures that people who might not have regular access to meals can grab something fresh and nutritious, no questions asked.
Delivering 700 food hampers annually: They’re not just relying on people to come to them—volunteers actively deliver food hampers to those most in need, especially the elderly, people who have disabilities, or those without transportation.
Driving 5,000 kilometers a year: Gas funding allows volunteers to cover a vast area, making sure food reaches remote or overlooked individuals who are often left out of food security networks.
Delivering 200,000 lbs of food annually: It’s hard to comprehend just how much food passes through the hands of these volunteers. Every pound represents a crucial meal for someone who might otherwise go hungry.
Providing shelter and resources: Beyond food, The Cathedral Community Fridge supports the houseless population by purchasing supplies such as sleeping bags, tents, and water, while offering basic essentials like medical supplies and gloves.
Funding Crisis Team supplies: Regina’s harsh winters mean that immediate crisis response can sometimes be the difference between life and death. Donations go toward bus passes, emergency supplies, and other resources to help people get out of dangerous situations.
Supporting other Mutual Aid Networks: It’s beautiful to see that they don’t just stop at helping their own community. They share resources with other mutual aid networks, creating a ripple effect that amplifies the power of every donation.
Why This Work Matters
Food insecurity isn’t just about lack of access to meals. It’s connected to housing instability, mental health, and a cycle of poverty that can feel impossible to break. What Help The Cathedral Community Fridge is doing matters because they’re not just providing food—they’re giving people the means to survive and, in many cases, thrive.
The fact that this initiative is entirely volunteer-driven is incredibly inspiring. No one is getting paid, but everyone’s work is deeply valued. It feels great to support a cause where every dollar donated goes straight to helping the community, rather than administrative costs or overhead.
How You Can Get Involved
If this cause resonates with you as much as it did with me, I encourage you to support Help The Cathedral Community Fridge. Whether it’s a financial donation, volunteering your time, or simply spreading the word, every little bit helps.
You can follow them on social media, share their posts, and, if you're in Regina, consider dropping off food or supplies at the fridge. The more we spread awareness, the more we can help strengthen the sense of community that is already thriving there.
As I continue this journey of giving each month, I’ve realized just how much of a difference small, consistent acts of kindness can make. Help The Cathedral Community Fridge is just one example of a local initiative making a huge impact, and I’m grateful to play even a small role in supporting their work this October.
If you're inspired, I hope you’ll consider joining me in supporting causes that speak to your heart and uplift your community. Together, we can create real, lasting change—one month, one donation, one act of kindness at a time.
Let’s keep the giving spirit alive this fall, and remember that community is the foundation of progress! https://gofund.me/439bf431

Hello there 👋
@islamgazaaccount2
Islam, a 27-year-old from Gaza, is currently sleeping on the streets without any form of shelter or safety for himself and his family. Their home was demolished by a bombing from the Israeli occupation. While shelter is crucial, they also urgently need food and water. All of their necessities were taken away.
Islam tried sharing a donation link, but with limited followers, it wasn't reaching enough people. Thankfully, he created a GoFundMe account, making it easier for those who want to help.
Please consider sharing Islam's story and donating to his GoFundMe. Even a small contribution can make a big difference in their time of need. 🙏❤️
https://gofund.me/08ed0b8c
This fundraiser is on the following list of vetted ones and has been verified by @90-ghost and @riding-with-the-wild-hunt
Sure, I can share! I am not super well-versed in the process of verifying individual fundraisers, so while I can't personally speak to the above fundraiser, but I also know Operation Olive Branch has done a ton of work in organizing, sharing and verifying mutual aid requests, so I think they're a great resource to refer to as well.
And as someone who lives in Canada, I do also have a few resources for those looking to donate to Palestine from within Canada as well:
E-Sims for Gaza (Canada-based crowd-funding for e-sims if you’d rather not purchase directly; can use credit or PayPal through that link or e-transfer through the information on the Disability Visibility website)
Medical Aid for Palestine (via CanadaHelps, also accepts credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Visa Gift Card)
Canadian Red Cross Middle East Humanitarian Crisis Appeal (via RedCross website, accepts credit card or PayPal)
UNICEF Appeal for Children in Gaza Crisis (via the Canadian website, requires a credit card)
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (the link is to their general fund on the Canadian website but they are actively working in Palestine, requires a credit card)
Non-financial means of support/action: Read the open petitions tagged with ‘Palestine’ in the House of Commons website and sign those petitions like e-4842 which calls for an immediate end to arms support to Israel by the Canadian government
I know it is amazing to donate directly to local Palestinian organizations and campaigns, but I also know that people experience different levels of access, knowledge, exchange rates, privacy concerns, etc. etc., so the above list can help with some of that!
Disclaimer: I am not an expert in charities, so while I tried to point to charities and resources I know of that have measures of financial transparency, this is not a review of these charities, but rather, quick and direct information on ways to donate in my region! Also, I know that PayPal is on the some lists for BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanctions), so that is worth bearing in mind while choosing your method of support.

Charity vs. Philanthropy
Charity vs. Philanthropy https://ift.tt/2Zsy3Rc Charity and philanthropy are two terms often used interchangeably when referring to acts of giving and positively impacting society. While they share a common goal of helping others, there are distinct differences between charity and philanthropy.  This article will explore the nuances between these concepts and shed light on their unique characteristics. Charity In its traditional sense, charity typically refers to acts of giving to provide immediate relief and assistance to individuals or groups in need. It focuses on addressing immediate needs and alleviating suffering. Charitable acts often involve providing food, clothing, shelter, or medical aid to those experiencing hardship or crises. Charity is often reactive, responding to specific situations and providing temporary support. Philanthropy On the other hand, philanthropy takes a broader and more proactive approach to social change. It involves strategic giving, long-term planning, and addressing the root causes of social issues. Philanthropy is driven by a desire to create lasting, systemic change and improve the overall well-being of communities. It goes beyond providing immediate relief and seeks to address the underlying factors that contribute to social problems. While charity focuses on direct assistance and immediate impact, philanthropy involves a more comprehensive and strategic approach. Philanthropists often research, analyze, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address the root causes of social issues. They invest in programs, initiatives, and organizations that work towards sustainable solutions and long-term societal transformation. Another distinguishing factor is the scale of operation. Charity often operates at a smaller scale, with individuals or smaller organizations providing aid to a limited number of beneficiaries. Philanthropy, on the other hand, can involve significant resources and encompass large-scale initiatives and projects. Philanthropists may establish foundations or endowments to fund their philanthropic endeavors, allowing for sustained support and impact over an extended period. Furthermore, charity often relies on individual or corporate donations, whereas philanthropy can involve more strategic and structured giving. Philanthropists may engage in impact investing, which combines financial returns with social and environmental benefits. They may also collaborate with other philanthropists, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to leverage resources and maximize impact. Both charity and philanthropy play vital roles in creating positive change and improving the lives of others. Charity offers immediate relief and support during times of crisis, while philanthropy focuses on long-term solutions and systemic change. It is important to note that charity and philanthropy are not mutually exclusive. Many philanthropic endeavors incorporate charitable acts as part of their larger strategy. Whether one chooses to engage in charity or philanthropy depends on personal values, resources, and desired impact. Both approaches have the potential to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities. Understanding the distinctions between charity and philanthropy allows individuals to align their charitable efforts with their goals and values, contributing to a more compassionate and equitable society. Charity and the Crucial Role of Food Distribution Campaigns
Charity, a cornerstone of human compassion, has been a driving force throughout history, shaping societies and uplifting those in need. At its core, charity embodies the selfless act of giving, driven by empathy and a sense of communal responsibility. In the diverse tapestry of charitable initiatives, food distribution campaigns stand out as a lifeline for many, exemplifying the power of collective goodwill. This article delves into the multifaceted nature of charity, exploring its motivations and, more specifically, elucidates the vital role played by entities such as the Food Distribution Firm in Delhi in the realm of food distribution campaigns.
Motivations Behind Charity:
The motivations that propel individuals to engage in charitable acts are as diverse as the causes they support. At the heart of it all lies a fundamental human desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Altruism, a selfless concern for the well-being of others, serves as a primary motivator. The joy derived from knowing that one's actions have made a difference, even in the smallest way, often sparks a continuous cycle of giving.
Additionally, empathy plays a pivotal role in charitable endeavors. Witnessing the struggles of others, whether through personal experiences or exposure to global issues, can evoke a deep sense of compassion. This empathy becomes a catalyst for action, driving individuals to contribute to causes that aim to alleviate suffering, address societal challenges, and foster positive change.
Social responsibility also plays a significant role in motivating charitable actions. As members of a global community, individuals feel a duty to contribute to the betterment of society. Whether through financial donations, volunteering, or advocacy, people recognize their role in building a more equitable and compassionate world.
Importance of Food Distribution Campaigns:
In the vast landscape of charitable initiatives, food distribution campaigns emerge as a critical intervention, addressing one of the most fundamental human needs—nutrition. The Food Distribution Firm in Delhi stands as a testament to the impact such campaigns can have, particularly in densely populated areas where food insecurity is a pressing concern.
Food distribution campaigns go beyond providing sustenance; they are lifelines for communities facing economic hardships, natural disasters, or other crises. The Food Distribution Firm in Delhi, with its strategic approach to food distribution, becomes a beacon of hope for those grappling with hunger. By efficiently channeling resources and leveraging local partnerships, such entities can make a substantial difference in the lives of countless individuals and families.
Food distribution is a fundamental aspect of humanitarian aid, promoting health and well-being. Adequate nutrition is not only essential for physical health but also influences cognitive development, educational attainment, and overall community resilience. In the context of poverty alleviation, food distribution campaigns become catalysts for breaking the cycle of deprivation, empowering individuals to pursue education and employment opportunities.
In regions like Delhi, characterized by a diverse socio-economic landscape, the Food Distribution Firm plays a crucial role in tailoring its campaigns to address the specific needs of the local population. By understanding the nuances of the community it serves, the firm can ensure that its efforts are impactful and sustainable, fostering long-term positive change.
Moreover, food distribution campaigns contribute to community building. The act of coming together to address a shared challenge fosters a sense of solidarity among community members. It creates a platform for collaboration and mutual support, reinforcing the idea that, as a society, we are collectively responsible for each other's well-being.
Conclusion:
Charity, as manifested through food distribution campaigns, epitomizes the compassionate spirit of humanity. The Food Distribution Firm in Delhi, along with similar entities worldwide, plays a pivotal role in translating the altruistic motivations of individuals into tangible and transformative actions. As we navigate the complexities of our interconnected world, the importance of such campaigns cannot be overstated. They represent not just a response to immediate needs but a commitment to building a more equitable and compassionate future for all. In the tapestry of charity, food distribution campaigns are threads that weave together communities, fostering resilience, and nourishing the heart of humanity.

I want to reiterate something that I saw on Twitter. I'd love to share the actual Twitter thread but of course I already can't find it in the massive swamp of stuff going on right now.
The urge to create new organizations is probably pretty strong in most Center to left Americans right now. To work as an individual, finding ways to help that you can do individually , perhaps even visibly. Somehow doing all the ground-up organizational work feels like doing more than joining the organizations that already exist. I'm here to tell you to resist that urge. This is one of those you are not immune to propaganda moments.
There is a fairly pervasive disease, particularly among folks who have protested and donated but not gotten into the nitty-gritty work yet. It's a very well intentioned instinct that you, personally, can do more to fix things as a leader than as a participant. The more privileged you are, the more you are going to believe this. (White Americans, we are very very susceptible to this, and it is a flavor of white supremacy it can be damn hard to unpack.)
You're going to want to join untested Auntie Networks and say individually that you are willing to help your friends/people you know without engaging in the already massive, already well-established, often led by BIPOC reproductive health organizations that already exist.
Your local abortion access organization, whether it is a mutual aid organization run on Instagram or a registered Foundation/charity with a significant web presence is already doing the work that you think needs to be done. There are already networks of people willing to open their homes, cars, and lives to people who need abortion care, organizations that provide money for travel, organizations that lobby heavily in Washington and even in corporate halls for Reproductive Rights.
The best thing you can do to help right now is to join an organization that already exists. To join up with your community, as locally as you possibly can, and let them tell you what work needs to be done. If you are brand new to this, if you are just now raging and you have energy to burn, it may feel like these organizations don't understand and they are not doing enough. But I assure you, they're working their asses off and they have for years.
There are huge groups of people that even before the overturn of Roe struggled to access reproductive health care of all kinds. Poor folks, indigenous communities, rural communities, black and brown folks, people living in abusive situations, disabled folks, they have all been denied appropriate Healthcare over and over and over again and the organizations they have already created and set up know how to do their best to access all the resources that are available, know how to build on their own scaffolding to extend resources, and are your best bet to do real good.
This is a lot like those can drives every year at Thanksgiving and christmas. It feels good to give these big tangible tins and boxes of food, but just writing a check does so much more than you could imagine. 10, 50, sometimes even a hundred times as much food, and of the types and varieties that people are actually looking for, accounting for communities and cultural values and health conditions. But still every year people love to give 50 packs of ramen noodles, rather than $50, because we have this belief that our individual decisions are somehow more valuable than the community decisions made by those actually working and living directly in the community. We are wrong. Please understand that while this Instinct to be a hero and leader on an individual basis is very well intentioned and understandable, it's a bad instinct put in our heads by years and years and years of stories about just one Renegade somehow being the key to saving the world rather than the diligent work of an entire community.
Here are the best things that you can do right now, even though they will not feel as satisfying as running as fast as you can to try to be a hero:
Stop
You're having a lot of feelings right now. Those feelings are utterly, completely valid. But when you are running entirely on adrenaline, on grief or anger or spite, you're going to run out of fuel pretty fast. The best thing you can do is take a beat to live in your feelings and then turn to do what you can thoughtfully and deliberately. It took the right about 40 to 50 years of slowly, pointedly, doggedly working local elections, working individual candidates, building communities and organizations, to overturn Roe. There is a non-zero chance that it is going to take just as long to turn it back again. Prepare yourself for that. Prepare for a long road. Be ready to put your shoulder in it, over and over. Be ready to take breaks while other people push, but without losing your own hope and determination. Then when others are running out of steam, put your shoulder to the work again.
Look
Search for organizations as local as possible. You're going to want to donate national. You're going to want to feel like you're doing the most good in the widest area. Your local community is what needs you most. Big organizations whose names end up on the news will have tons of donations right now. Search for organizations in your neighborhood, city, township, county, and state.
Listen
When you find those organizations, you're going to have a lot of ideas. Spend at least a month or a few meetings listening to what they are already doing. Check out their websites or social media presences and respond to their direct appeals as best as you can. You will often find that your mind changes once you are actually in the community, doing the work. You will often find that your well-intentioned ideas have often already been tried and may even be already in place in a slightly different manner than you expected.
You will also often find that you are going to need to confront your own privilege, over and over. To listen to the people doing the work often means you need to stop talking. There is nothing wrong with having good ideas, but when you are walking in from the outside you need to have the humbling moment of realizing you may not be as much of an expert as you think you are.
Stay
As I previously mentioned, this is not going to be a few weeks work. It's unlikely it's going to be a few months work. This is going to take years. It's going to take election cycles.
Don't burn yourself out. Don't work furiously for a few weeks, give up, and never return. Work this kind of stuff into your regular schedule. Make this a daily or weekly or monthly commitment. As someone with ADHD, I know damn well it can be hard to set a new routine, but it's better for you to work one day a month for 2 years then it would be to work everyday for one month and then never return.
If you need a break, decide when you're going to come back when you take the break and commit to returning to the work. You can always change your mind. But consistency will be a powerful tool in both building communities and doing the work of making real change.
This is the hardest piece of it. It's easy to settle back into a life of privilege where you can choose to no longer think about such things. This happened with an awful lot of white activists after the summer of BLM. I admit I am as guilty as the next person of getting overwhelmed and never returning to some of the organizations I used to help. We are all human and some people will fall away, but those who have prepared to be out there in the long term will fall away less, encourage others to return more often, and keep the fires burning on our long slow walk back.

SIGNAL BOOST - trans charity auction ft. Eugenesis!
Tumblr media
HEY. so. my pal Stuart is auctioning off his rare (and signed!) copy of the original physical "publication" run of Euegensis. you know, the Infamous JRo Fic TM of which there only exist a few hundred copies.
he's specifically doing so with the intent of raising money for three UK trans charities, with proceeds 100% going to said charities and being evenly split between them: Transgender NI, Trans Leeds and Gendered Intelligence. stuart has done a bunch of TF fandom charity fundraising of this type, bless him; most recently he kindly donated a reader's fee on my behalf to GI after I did a look over of one of his IDW retrospectives.
it's a "mystery bid" style auction, so how it works is this: you DM him (on Twitter) the maximum amount you are willing to bid. whoever bids the most wins the auction. his account is here. bidding ends on 24th november. he's willing to cover shipping internationally himself, so this is open to anyone, not just UK residents! (if you really, really want to bid but don't have a twitter account and don't want to set one up, let me know and I can talk to him on your behalf if you want, btw.)
ETA: quick update. you can also send him an email! the email in question can be found in the description of this youtube video.
here is the tweet thread where he explains how it works and how to contact him to bid, as well as a link to an introductory video he did on youtube.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: several tweets, reading as follows, from the account @InflatableDalek.
Tweet one: Here we go, my Eugenesis auction in aid of @TransgenderNI, @TransLeeds and @Genderintell (all reccomended by mutuals) is described in the video! (Pictures, as the vid is mirrored, and a description for those who can't watch in the next few tweets)
Tweet two: Simply: if you'd like to own a copy of the incredibly rare Transformers fan fiction novel by the now famous James Roberts, DM what you will be willing to pay by the 24th November. On the 25th, the highest bidder gets it (in a draw, the earliest of the winners gets it).
Tweet three: I will cover postage and post internationally. You have a week to pay from the point of being notified, unless you specify when bidding a payday (or other circumstances) wait is needed. Book is exactly as it appears. Will provide more pics and answer questions as needed.
Tweet four: There are very few copies of this left out there and those that are, aren't changing hands often. That's a low starting price so you could well get a bargain. But let's bump this up, with retweets and shares far and wide.]
i am extremely annoyed that i am way too broke to drop money on this thing. i need someone to go bid on it so i stop being tempted to crack out my credit card like an idiot. hah. but in all seriousness, as a trans person in the UK, things really suck here and often the only resources avaliable to vulnerable trans people are through local networks or charities like these because of how institutionally hostile and underfunded "official" resources are to us. these are all great orgs, and GI in particular came on my recommendation. this would be a great way to both get a really cool bit of niche TF fandom history and also make a donation to places providing those services.
please consider signal boosting, too! <3

Black Lives Matter
Last week we reacted with feeling. This week we’re channeling that feeling into fuel for action.
The ongoing protests against police brutality are not just a response to the unnecessary deaths of a few. They are a response to 401 years of racism. The unequal treatment of BIPOC was built into the blueprint of the United States, and we still see the indirect and direct consequences of that fact.
Tumblr has a moral obligation to our community to use this platform in a socially responsible manner. Staying silent about our solidarity with the police brutality protests last week was not an option. Simply spreading our message of solidarity without actionable follow-up this week was not an option, either.
What Tumblr is doing
Diversity and inclusion will remain an ongoing open and honest conversation within our company. This week we have come together as an organization to make sure the necessary conversations are being held. Dialogue is great, but action is needed.
Hate speech is not allowed on Tumblr. That sort of hateful rhetoric leads to violence. White supremacists, Nazis, and other purveyors of hate can fully fuck off. They are not welcome here. As we promised last month, hate speech will not go unchecked. If you see hate speech, report it to our Trust & Safety team. They will remove all content against our Community Guidelines.
Tumblr is a platform. The small team of <200 employees behind Tumblr are people. People who are scared, hopeful, angry, sad, and impassioned. People who care. As individuals, many of us are marching, protesting, and donating. We wanted to share some of the places we’ve donated to over the last two weeks in the hopes that you’ll check them out yourselves:
Color of Change demands justice and equality for Black people in the United States.
Black Girls Smile is dedicated to providing young Black women with mental health resources.
Equal Justice Initiative works to end mass incarceration, excessive punishment, and racial inequality.
Homeless Black Trans Woman Fund provides Black trans women in Atlanta with housing, food, and necessities.
Our social advocacy team is seeking more activists to do Issue Times on issues that affect the Black community. So often, the best suggestions come from all of you. Let us know who you want to hear from. As always, we will read the reblogs from this post.
Our official Tumblr for all things social advocacy, @action, will continue to reblog posts from the community on more ways to help support the protests.
Ways we can all help
Over the years, the Tumblr community has solidified itself as being passionate advocates for social justice. Through your posts, group chats, and messages, you educate yourself and others. If you’re not Black, commit to being a better ally. Listen to the Black community.
Last week @theblackoutofficial collected a nice list of resources here on Tumblr. You can stay further informed by following the Black Lives Matter, BLM, and protests tag.
There is a place for everyone in the Black Lives Matter movement. You may be unable to march or attend rallies, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit on the sidelines. You can pass out water, masks, and hand sanitizer if you can’t march. You can donate to a charity you believe in or give money to your local mutual aid organization.
Contact your officials to encourage our communities to invest in areas we know can prevent crime before it even happens: youth services, education, adequate housing, trauma services, counseling, and restorative justice programs. You can use these easy pre-filled form emails for a number of cities.
Just yesterday, U.S. House and Senate leaders introduced the Justice in Policing Act of 2020. This legislation may work to hold police accountable for their actions. We’re watching the developments of this closely, and suggest you do, too. Call your senators and call your representatives to support this legislation.
Are you an artist of any kind? Or do you just like art? There are tons of artists on Tumblr who are doing commission fundraisers for charities that have an impact on Black communities. Consider buying something or starting one yourself.
Lastly: Vote!
Vote! Vote! Register to vote! Even if you missed the deadline for upcoming elections, register to vote now so you can participate in the next one. You deserve to have a say in what happens within your community.
