Tickle, 1st gen Muttlie - I just adopted them to take a picture and see if I liked them, but she has pink eyes and is a trotter... She's sort of perfect, right?

I know I said I had three more cat breeds, but I decided to veer off course with the Aussies. I don't really know enough of what colors look good on them. I did decide that I like the chest white, but Ace had the best mutations out of his siblings.

The route that surge and kit should have taken should have been the relationship between wario and waluigi, or dick dastardly and muttly. When I saw them, I remember thinking that I had finally mastered the Wario-like imitation of Sonic.

I agree with @randomthefox and his idea that Surge and Kit should have been nearly codependant, as the true parallel between Sonic and Tails' strong, healthy bond.

"Sonic" bullying "Tails" is overdone. It's a joke as old as time. It makes Surge far less likeable, and Kit just a poow widdle woobie. It also blurries the line between "Starline thinks Sonic and Tails act like this, so they're in-universe meta parodies" and "they're actual characters you're supposed to take seriously".

Surge and Kit being unhealthly attached to each other and against the whole world? Now that would have been interesting! Kit works already as he is, but imagine Surge as a violently protective older sis when she gets separated from Kit! And yeah, she can still call him Drippy and be lowkey mean, but not in a way where it looks like she's taking advantage of the fact that he cannot even think about anything that she doesn't think! Just... an evil yet genuine friendship, you know? One that makes you feel sorry for these poor kids, while still acknowleding that they're twisted and not to be taken lightly!

When you think about it, Surge and Kit as they are just don't fit Starline's plan. Why is Surge such a rebellious punk, when she's supposed to follow orders? Why is Surge so dismissive of her ally? How in the fuck were they supposed to replace Sonic and Tails no Flynn you can't just say that he didn't think that far ahead YOU didn't think that far ahead because you knew that you would never have to but Starline couldn't know he would have died by then AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Surge and Kit are the epitome of wasted potential and, after 6 months have passed from their anticlimatic ending, they just make me sad.

Meet Sticky!

He's from the Smashed S'Mores Muttlies litter over at Litterz Factory.

His sibling was featured on Arie's Muttlie Mania stamp which is where I was first introduced to these delightful pups! (NOT MY STAMP!)

When I saw there were several pups up for adoption, I dithered. Was I allowed? I'm so new to this tight-knit community where it seems everyone knows everyone and are all real good friends. But surely, if Arie only meant for them to be for friends, she wouldn't put up a litter for adoption. I'd close the window and go about my day, but every so often I'd find myself back there, wondering if any more had been adopted.

Finally, I applied. I didn't know what I was suppose to write on the application. It's been 15 years since I was last in this space. What if there were new things you were supposed to say. But I remembered, many of the people in this community are about the same age as I am, and giving those pretty little lies (I'll love him forever! I'll play with him everyday!) we used to probably wasn't expected anymore. So I was just honest, and said how cute I thought he was and how I'd wanted one since I saw the stamp.

And here he is! Apparently my application was good enough! (I was good enough.) Yep, some days my mental health is on a string and tied to positive interactions from strangers on the internet. It happens.

At first, Sticky was curious about his new home.

And even tried to hide a little.

But soon enough, Sticky found himself investigating all of the toys I'd set out for him.

He particularly liked the tennis ball and didn't put it down for a while.

Soon enough, he had tuckered himself out. He tried out a bed I pulled out for him, but it sort of swallowed him.

The living room rug turned out to be a better spot. Enjoy your nap, Sticky!
