For some reason when I was a kid Musyamon stood out to me and ended up being the first Digimon to attack the protagonists of my Digimon fanfic. I always think of that when I see the card, so it's kind of special to me.
Similarly, Kunemon reminds me of playing Digimon World and so is another card that sticks with me.

An addendum to the What if Pokémon protags had Digimon
So apparently Fumamon is a perfect and not an adult 😅. It sure looked like an adult level to me. Also the first time I saw this thing was when I was looking for partners for the protagonists.
New line after the addendum:

Digimon Tamers - Episode 11
We get a Jian & Terriermon episode this time. Since they're my faves, I had a good time. It was mostly just the same points we've already seen reiterated though:
Terriermon wants to fight, Jian doesn't want him to fight
Takato still sucks at strategizing
Ruki is still conflicted about being a tamer
Some new, small revelations included Terriermon feeling insecure about his relationship with Jian and also Jian feeling like Takato's "changed" and become more battle obsessed.
Notes:
Loved the boys' reactions to the girls judging them for being "childish," "Yeah, we ARE children!" Exactly. Kids are always pressured to grow up too fast.
So many great Terriermon faces in this episode. If Digimon were more popular, he'd probably be everywhere like Pikachu. His design is just -chef's kiss-
I originally thought that Jian's little sister knew that Terriermon was real, but now I'm realizing that's probably not the case. That's why Terriermon is always playing dead around her...I thought he was just being weird LOL
Renamon continues to do badass ninja/superhero poses as she broods about her relationship (or lack thereof) with Ruki. Kinda funny how she's the only dark and serious personality in the digimon cast (Terriermon, Guilmon and Culumon are all varying degrees of goofy).
Culumon's like a stray cat, just coming and going as he pleases in people's homes. I find him kinda annoying at this point to be honest...
Takato attempts to reveal Guilmon to his friends, but they run away before really seeing him. I thought there would be more consequences for Takato's careless behavior, but he gets to laugh it off. There were those other times when he's just blatantly walked through the city with Guilmon though, so maybe other people finding out about him isn't that big a deal? Who knows at this point...
I've never liked the samurai aesthetic, so I don't really like Musyamon either. I guess the design is just too busy for me? (Also the romanization of his name is weird).
Dramatic moment at the end reveals the HYPNOS lighter dude was tailing the kids. I guess they'll probably step into a bigger role soon.

Loogamon for Sanji and Zoro inheriting Kotemon works well though I kinda want the latter line to go Kotemon > Musyamon > Oboromon > Kazuchimon
All of these have swords as major design element and Kazuchimon because I think it’d be funny for Zoro and Sanji to Jogress partners given their relationship
Gotta say I do LOVE the idea of Zoro and Sanji being the two to be the Jogress partners of the crew, it has to be a strong mon we don't see often ala lend me your hand for 10 seconds
Took forever to find a mon that worked for both of their personalities and they'd be able to feesably become
I don't have full evolution lines set for them yet but I'm thinking
^ for Sanji
^ For Zoro
^ their Jogress mon. Turning it's entire body into a weapon mirrors the potential bad-endgame path Sanji's taking with his mutation going wrong and Zoro fighting to the point of the grim reaper being his shadow.
It'll do everything to keep furthering it's partners promises to uphold Luffys goal of being king, but HOPEFULLY help them realize they don't need to push themselves to the point of losing their original dreams/goals
While I'm here on the main crew!!! Figured out Frankys partner lines
(it was funnier on discord where the punchline could hide the images)
Obviously Nanimon would eventually evolve into a bigger stronger mon
Im sort of eyeing Superstarmon, but at the same time I want to get the main crew down before expanding onto other characters
#chimera gui#THAT BEING SAID LAWS PARTNER WOULD EVENTUALLY BE A JUSTIMON#Kiku would have a Hyokomon#(this is funny and works on 2 levels)#(but i refuse to do more until i get the rest of the crew figured out)#I JUST NEED CHOPPER BROOK AND JIMBE#asks#lizmet

[ID: A gif from Digimon Adventure Zero Two episode 33 showing Shurimon hovering above a human world river. He knocks Musyamon with his giant shuriken, who then gets sucked back into the digital world through a portal on Shuu's laptop and opened by Miyako, who are standing on the riverside. Once the digimon is through the digital gate, Shuu closes his laptop. Sora's dad is also with them. End ID]

On Dokugamon's debut: It was used in the videogames before its anime debut, in the wonderswan version of the V-Pet. So did the Snimon that will appear in a few episodes, and Chimeramon, Golemon and Musyamon from 02 (as well as Asuramon, but that one won't appear in the anime until Frontier). The Digital Monster Ver. Wonderswan and Digital Monster Ver. S (for the Sega Saturn) are among the first videogames from the franchise, and, like Digimon World, predate the anime and are adaptions of the V-Pets, although Digimon World is the one that has a gameplay loop beyond being a fancy V-Pet. A few 'mons from the Adventures, if not in the V-Pet or Pendulum, will most likely have debuted in those!
Ooh, good to know. Thank you.

Limbus Tamers
The limbus brainrot is terminal and digimon has been worming its way back so why not combine the two together. I’m not the biggest Digimon nerd (mainly watched some Adventure, 02 and Tamers and played Digimon world 3 and Cybersleuth) so I’ve been using Wikimon to help with the evolution lines, while yes I could just mix and max anything I tried to use Digimon that actually evolve into one another.
I may do another one with Dante, Charon and Vergilius plus any Sinner I want revisit. So onward to my dubious picks!
For Yi Sang I chose this line mostly for his desire to have wings and his association with crows. Plus Yatagaramon is cool.
For Faust I focused on her witch imagery, what with her base E.G.O. giving her a broom and her codename being Walpurgisnacht, and her vast knowledge with Impmon being a stand in for Mephistopheles (I know Mephismon exist I already had settled on witchmon and needed a rookie). AncientWisemon could have gone to Yi Sang since he invented the mirror we use to pull the gacha but it still have that sorcerer vibe.
For La Creatura I settled for the Guilmon line mostly because Gallantmon/Dukemon, being a Royal Knight, fitted with her knightly delusions and also because I remember Guilmon going feral at some points in Tamers. Plus if we go for Dark Digivolutions, when Don completely snaps she could go down the Megidramon (or even ChaosDukemon) route similarly to Takato.
I hesitated a bit with Ryoshu so I ended doing both ideas: I kinda cobbled this one together trying to concile her ties to fire (her E.G.O inflict burn, the “cooking” of the Kebab and that one picture of her burning everything using as her steed) and art with Etemon being a singer and Piedmon being a clown (and circus artist in general). Plus the Dark Master have throwing knives/swords.
This one was more was more based on her swordplay and the fact she’s ... ok maybe not “honourable” but she’d rather not do it the “coward’s way”, she straight up refused to disguise herself during the casino heist and wanted to face the Shi assassin head on in Canto IV. So Musyamon popped into my mind and then went up the evo line to try and keep the samurai/ronin theme and Kunemon is here because I couldn’t use Kotemon as it doesn’t digivolve into Musyamon.
Mr Salt got the Andromon line because he’s very robotic at times, a cog in the machine if you will, plus he is a tank of a man so Guardromon fits well. Also I thought it would be funny if somehow the machine Digimon ended up being more prone to make judgements than its human partner.
I didn’t know where to go with Hong Lu, I tried with the Devas and little more with Lopmon’s line then I saw QueenChessmon and went “Chess is pastime for hoity-toity rich folk and Hong Lu is a rich boy” and went from there. Not really satisfied but it just clicked in the moment. ... If Hong Lu is playing some 5d chess with us I SWEAR TO -
Another double feature with the other sinner with double seats privilege ... this was completely incidental. This one is based on the brutish side of Heathcliff though Ogremon can be cunning as can our angry british. Titamon is also connected to revenge (specifically against the Olympos XII) so it fits as well. I know Rebellimon doesn’t digivolve to Titamon but fuck it ! I didn’t want Digitamamon on here and that’s the only exception I made, I just wanted to keep mean green demon all the way.
This one came frame from a flash about Telepole Heathcliff and since He’s a bastard I couldn’t him give a regular Gabumon.
I just had to give Fishmael a Whamon because of Moby Dick. As for the rest: I picked Gomamon because I thought it’d be funny to have a laid back partner with how rigid she can be; Dolphmon to transition between Gomamon and Whamon and Plesiomon because it’s a traditional Mega for Gomamon alongside Vikemon.
I must admit being stumped and just going “Waifumon go !”. Might revisit her with a more fitting line sometime.
For Sinclair at first I wanted to give him an avian line then stumbled upon Tsukaimon digivolving into Pidmon and went “time to go the angel route” as a spin on Patamon. Outside of MagnaAngemon (and Angewomon for that matter) I tried not to use Adventure/02 digimon. I picked Dominimon but hesitated between it, ClavisAngemon and SlashAngemon.
For Outism I first wanted to have an Olympos XII member then wondered whether or not there was a trojan horse digimon, Lo and behold there was ! As for the rest I worked my way down : Cherrymon being a duplicitous tree (he tried to manipulate Yamato during the Dark Master arc) fit Outis being suspicious, kiwimon is kind of a filler pick and Alraumon is a fake Palmon.
Finally for Gregor I picked the Wormmon line though with some changes. I chose Snimon instead of Stingmon to harken to G Corp Gregor and while there’s a roachmon I felt it was too on the nose. As for Bloomlordmon I hesitated with going with GranKuwagamon or HeraclesKabuterimon but leaned more on this one mainly to distance a bit from bugs since Gregor has two plant based E.G.O.
That should be it for now.

Episode 33.
It is Miyako's Kyoto episode.
Izumi speculates that 02 cast's D-3s were created due to Ken's Dark Digivice, and Ken's Digivice was something he wished for, which the Dark Ocean granted.
Izumi explains there is a program in Digital World that shapes the elements to people's desires. This will be important for the end of the series, and DigiGnomes in Tamers.
Izumi, and Ken speculate about the sender of the e-mail.
Black War Greymon destroys the remnants of another Holy Stone.
Following Black War Greymon's attempt to Realize, a Hanumon appears.
Ken saves Miyako, but ends up meeting a folklore professor. This is actually Sora's dad.
Sora's dad explains the lore behind the Sovereigns, this will be more important in Tamers. Sora's dad speculates that Digimon are the yokai of the current era, which is more or less the basis of every Monster Collection series.
Second Digimon manifesting from Black War Greymon's conga line is Musyamon.
After Musyamon's defeat, Miyako wonders what happened during Taichi's era, when they couldn't just send back Digimon. This sets up the Demon Corps episodes.
Archnemon states there are 5 more Holy Points left.
****
This episode is incredibly lore important for future of this series, but also overall franchise, as it serves as a test case for many elements of Tamers.
It is unclear why we have 7 Holy Stones in the show, since logically there should be 9 for each crest.

He's extremely loyal and will severely main to protect those he cares for. His comfort item is a knife he takes everywhere and will use to stab as a warning. He used to be an assassin for hire. His champion is literally Musyamon and he thrills in violence. He acts more like a Tsukaimon than a Patamon, except he kept the usual Patamon qualities of caring and loyalty, except twisted in a concerning way. Will not hesitate to kill is those he cares for are in danger.
Before you ask yes, I do have a Tsukaimon oc that acts more like a Patamon.

as patient as i am for grinding, the aptitude system does mean i’m a bit impatient about some stuff, so the next four farm quests. this batch seems to perfectly correlate to other quests in Dusk: the Wing Ring incident involving a Muchomon, a BomberNanimon blowing up someone’s house, returning a Musyamon’s Katana, and cancelling a Kabuterimon’s duel with a Sinduramon. i don’t think all of these were farm quests in Dusk, so it’s neat to see there’s some level of not being exactly the same. i haven’t seen this one quest from Dusk as of right now, so i think it’s more different than i give it credit for even now.
the Silver rank fight is pretty much as i expect, both sides being strong defensively and poor offensively. however, there’s an annoying amount of statuses flying around, and thanks to poison, my mons are actually in danger, but we managed.
after an digivolution, the Devidramon still doesn’t have enough Aptitude, so i guess i’m gonna try and get more exp. i actually need a lot of Machine exp to really make this worth it, and there just isn’t any decent options for Machine right now. Hookmon is the best, and they give, like, 60 per.
i’m also considering a choice for Arpeggio... it doesn’t seem wholly unreasonable, surprisingly. of course, that’s what i thought about what i wanted to do for HB. i’ll detail it more under a keep reading. i gotta say again, i love the DNA digivolving of this game, it’s so intricate and fun to think through.
to detail what i could do with Arpeggio, he could DNA-volve as a Birdramon with a Unimon to Parrotmon, rotate around to Sinduramon one way or the other from there, and then DNA-volve with a Silphymon into Valdurumon. given the Tapirmon from earlier, getting a Unimon would be pretty ok, and going for a Silphymon is possible, and i just unlocked Sinduramon as well, even if i didn’t want to use the Akatorimon/Kokatorimon DNA-volution for that.
