proof of attaining the first four ranks. i didn’t actually need to cycle the team at all for Platinum, just tinker around with equipment and get pretty near the level limit for most of them. even then, still had to chew through most of the team for that. i have no idea what’s up with moves that invoke countering effects, those just don’t feel like they work, i can’t say i recommend them.

yesterday was a bit of a wash, but at least i got a ton of details down. now to just execute all of that.

Dawn seems to share some side quests down to the last detail with Dusk, actually. that includes this ShogunGekomon one that i found very rough in Dusk, but just a hair slow in Dawn. i feel as if i got a bit lucky. and because i felt kinda silly putting around in these areas that give so little exp and BIts, Resistor Jungle is a quick knockout! the maps of that makes a bit more sense now, you have different entrances for either game. it’s a bit funny how Newton doesn’t get any new Digimon. even now, he still just has the same Kokuwamon, not even digivolved.

Sayo had a MachGaogamon, alongside a Lekismon, mirroring the fight Koh has in Dusk. all motives are effectively the same, if mirrored across teams. the challenge is definitely picking up at this point, and i think i will cycle the team a time. slow and steady here wins the race.

Even though Digimon Fusion/Xros was chaotic throughout its entire run, the idea of Digimon from any Stage can potentially hatch from an egg and grow up is just indulgent chaos.

It's like making the egg mechanic from Digimon Dusk/Dawn and the scanning mechanic from Digimon Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory but evolved. Just know Dusk/Dawn Digieggs include ones that can hatch into MEGAS alongside ULTRAS than just the standard Fresh stage.

You can imagine the potential chaos this can cause especially if all eggs are the same size as any standard one. Some bloke finds a strange egg on the street then it just hatches into a baby VenomMyotismon, Megidramon, Leviamon or even a Armageddemon.

Those little 'mons will be Kaiju sized when fully grown unless they have a code that manages their size like in Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory. Although the image of a small GranDracmon and Cherubimon Vice clinging to their human parent is adorable.

But yeah, chaos is guaranteed if someone implements this whether it be canon or fanon.

you know what i think one thing digimon has over pokemon is that it’s so fun to digivolve and back. the idea of devolving creatures to make them evolve with higher stats is actually really fun to me! what sucks is that for some creatures you have to digivolve them multiple times to get the stats you need for champion digimon… and don’t get me started on the species exp.
