cannot stop thinking about a romanced Lavellan being the default world state. it seems like no big deal at first until you realize that it’s the world state that all new players to the franchise will use. it is the world state they chose for people who are brand new to the world and its characters. it’s the world state they chose to get new people invested in the world. whatever happens in that world state isn’t just for us, who have been eagerly waiting, but is significant enough that they want every single brand new player to see it, to experience those scenes. i need to lay down

I'm watching Emma (2009) and I've previously seen the 2020 movie, and I always can't help but aro-code Emma! As someone who is grey-aromantic, I see myself in her. She questions what love feels like, often questions whether she's in love (captures that platonic, infatuation, sexual or romantic attraction confusion) and in general, is perfectly content with remaining unmarried and never being in a relationship. I relate to horror, confusion and somewhat romantic repulsion when someone confesses they romantically like her. Also, it goes without saying that grey-aromantics can experience romantic attraction, and she falls in love with only Mr Knightley, which is a nice example of an aromatic person being in a relationship while retaining their lgbtq identity

the dynamics and characters in fangs of fortune are already serving so hard only two episodes in. the allure to zhu yan and also the distrust we as the audience feel along with wen xiao and yichen - you want to believe him, but on the basis of his being a demon and the conception that comes with you always feel like there's a catch. is he lying? is he telling the truth? is he twisting the truth? there's obviously an ulterior motive hidden behind his words, and yet he knows exactly what to say to trap both of them in promises that they will surely regret.

yichen being forced to work with the demon he believes, knows, killed his family. the way he struggles to uphold his family name, fighting to succeed a legacy passed onto him incomplete with his father's untimely passing. giving up his home because it lost all its meaning to him. the curse being seen as a blessing, either way an inevitability. he will kill zhu yan.

wen xiao's hidden pain. her trying to do good, but also so clear headed underneath, wise beyond her ears. the way her flirtatious nature can ovetake her, but she never lets anyone get the best of her otherwise. her testing of zhu yan is relentless; she's the vulnerable one, but she refuses to let it show.

the way they're going to build a family with a demon, a girl who has stepped away from everything she once believed, a miracle doctor who's really just a teenager. how this will teach them humanity and loss and everything will not be what it seems. how the tension is cut so easily, so naturally, then builds back up with climbing orchestral music. everything is beautiful and deep and so multi layered and i am so sat for this show.

Tiny Review: Saturday Night 2024. A writer’s story.

I enjoyed this tremendously. I love the structure, the cameos, how things are setup and simultaneously pay off in the climax. And like a good comedy, the catharsis in the punchline.

It’s a very good story, also a very niche story. A Must Watch for writers who also know of Saturday Night Live.

To be clear: despite this sad episode, my feelings towards Tee have not changed, I have exactly the same opinion of him as I had before. Watching his overwhelming guilt, his situation at home, his self-pity and the feeling that with love and White he can be a better person, in no way erases from my mind how actively Tee worked to hurt Non. How he actively chose evil over and over again. I just want to say that I still remember that they are all responsible for what happened to Non, as no one tried to stop this spiral of evil that they themselves put Non on. Objectively, I know that they were kids back then, I know that none of them expected it would end like this. But I also know objectively that they didn't HAVE to do most of the things they did and they did them anyway, because they didn't see Non as a human being, but as some greasy subhuman. I like stories like this, I like showing characters like Tee, it was a VERY INTERESTING EPISODE, and Tee is a VERY INTERESTING CHARACTER. Unfortunately for all of them, I REMEMBER. And I know that no one was punished for it. NOBODY. Even Tee is somehow "rewarded" with a second chance. A chance his victims never received.

"Yes! Absolutely!" Ruth immediately screamed, making Steph flinch.

"Loud," Steph muttered. "But I'd say maybe? He could, but I don't know if he knows he could."

"Max is not smart enough to go into engineering," Grace spat. Ruth, Richie and Steph snickered. Pete sighed.

"I really don't know Max well enough to make a call on that," Pete said, shaking his head.

"Make a call on what?" Max asked, sitting down too. Everyone froze except for Grace.

"Whether you'd go into engineering," She said. "It sounds like an easy question, I don't know why Richie seemed so confused."

"You think I could go into engineering?" Max asked, half genuine and half humorous.

"I-If you let yourself," Richie said, looking down at his hands.

"Oh," He breathed.

"Yeah, I changed my mind. He absolutely would go into engineering," Pete said.

"Oh my god, shut up!" Richie exclaimed, shoving his face into his hands.

And that's how Max decided to go into engineering
