Flowers you gave to Gods have withered away? no problemo, reuse them!
Hello guys! I believe I made a post before in which I talked about my habit of picking up flowers for Lady Aphrodite, Lord Hermes, and Lady Athena whenever I come back home. However, since they do not have dirt in which to expand their roots and absorb water, they wither away very soon. Generally, I would advise you to not leave expired food or dried-up flowers on your deity's altar. But there comes the question
,, Jelly, what do I do with them afterward?"
Well, fear not, because I've got just the solution as your fellow devotee and flower enjoyer!
1. Make homemade Potpourri!
A potpourri is basically a jar full of flowers, fruits, spices, etc. Which you leave in your room for its scent. Once your flowers get all dry, you can make one of these and place them in your room as to fill it with scents that remind you of your deities! and it is also a way more natural alternative to room freshener. I personally follow this recipe:
– Spread your flower heads and petals on a baking sheet. – Dry your flowers in an oven at 93° Celsius (200° Fahrenheit), which may take up to two hours. – Place dried flowers in an airtight container with a lid and add two or three drops of essential oils for your ideal scent. Rose, lemon, lavender, and cinnamon are among the most common fragrances for the home. – Store for six to eight weeks to allow the flowers to absorb the essential oils.
PS: Can also be a good freshener for your altar!
2. Homemade dried flower body scrub!
I actually only found out abut this today. But, apparently, if you mix up dried flower petals with Epsom salt, sea salt, baking soda, and essential oils you can basically create a scrub! I dunno if I would recommend it to people with sensitive skin tho...
3.Scented room spray
Mix together essential oils, alcohol, and dried flowers, and BOOM natural room spray! poof a little on your altar every morning!
4. If they are roses, make rosaries out of them!
Even though rosaries can be found a lot in Catholicism, many other religions use them. Buddhists, Muslims, and so much more! and, they actually used to be made out of actual roses. @jekraftbooks has a very good tutorial on TikTok about this, but basically, you need to:
1.Take your dried roses and throw them in a blender
2.Cook them down for several days at a low temperature. Only simmering, never boil.
3.When it begins to form like a clay ball, it is ready to go! Get a cheese cloth and squeeze all the water you can out of the clay. (Keep it for later)
4.Roll them into balls. Put a needle through them to make the hole, then leave them on cardboard for a few days to dry.
5. Once they dry, they will be rough, but we need them to have a smooth texture. Use the water from step 3, then rub some oil on them to give them some shine and protection from water ✨
6.Your beads are done! congrats! make necklaces, earrings, bracelets, any type of jewelry you wish for with them! You can also dedicate them to a deity as devotional jewelry or use them for prayer. Let your creativity go wild!!

Celebrating Ramadan With Kalim and Jamil
Masterlist
First of all, I would like to say that all of this is incredibly self-indulgent. I know that everyone has their own traditions and ways of celebrating Ramadan but this is how my family observes this month. I would love to hear anyone else’s input.
Okay, my mother would love to meet them because they are good, respectable boys.
Every year my mother goes abaya shopping where she has to buy three different abayas (one for Eid, one for Taraweeh/Jummah prayers at the mosque and one for everyday wear) and she always gets upset because I’ve been using the same abaya for the past three years and I only get another one once my previous one has been worn down. Well, now she shall be disappointed no longer because not only would Kalim buy me three wardrobe’s worth of the most luxurious abayas known to man with the fanciest matching shawls but he also, most probably, would get her the fancy abayas as well.]
Kalim would win her heart by buying her those really luxurious hijab shawls.
Oh my god, Eid dress shopping would be a whole other monster. After finding out that I buy two dresses/outfits for Eid, he would be like ‘ha you thought’ and just pull up a thick magazine and ask my mother to point out anything and everything she wants me to have - since she’s the one that does all of the Eid shopping - and the next day I’d find a pile of readily tailored clothes in my bedroom.
A few weeks ago, my mother bought me a golden bracelet with my name written in Arabic on it and honestly part of the reason I love it is because it is exactly the kind of gift Kalim or Jamil would give me.
Iftar and Suhoor would be a feast with Kalim, Jamil and the Al-Asim wealth. Like these boys would stroll up with the rich people dates and my mother would be sold (my mum and her dad love dates).
This has nothing to do with the rest of the post but I know for a fact that the Scarabia boys would get my name right on the first try and I love them for that.
(Context: I have an Arabic/Muslim surname and I spent all my life going to a whiter-than-the-antaractic primary school that used to be a church. That place was so white that we didn’t even have proper assemblies, we had ‘service’ where the priest from down the road would come and talk about the Bible to the entire school whilst the 10-20ish Muslim kids would sit at the back of the hall and read books. So whilst I was there everyone would pronounce my last name as the way you would spell it out in english whereas the actual arabic pronunciation is different but since everyone including my teachers, the librarians, my mum and dad’s coworkers etc called me by the western pronunciation, I thought that that was what my name is. It was only after my Arabic/Quran teacher pronounced my surname in its Arabic way that my dad told me that it's the proper way of saying it. Not going to lie, it felt kind of weird knowing that I’ve been getting my own name wrong for over a decade and I still use the English pronunciation to this day)
Similarly to how Kalim would win my mum with dates and clothes, Jamil would win my mum with handmade kunafa. Trust me, my family loves kunafa.
Also, my parents love arabic tea. My mum collects tea sets and her two favourite sets are her Turkish tea glasses and silvery metallic Moroccan tea set. Jamil would see her arabic mint tea leaves and he would offer to brew it for her and it would taste like perfection, I just know it.
There was this one Ramadan where my mum got into Arabic calligraphy so she bought this big canvas and some black paint and my sister and I tore out pages from my cartridge paper pad and used my calligraphy pens and we just sat and tried to replicate the arabic calligraphy art we saw on google images whilst listening to nasheeds and I KNOW that Jamil would love to do this. Like he would come out with a masterpiece after ten minutes and then judge watch me try to make mine look half decent before trying to help me.
I don’t think Jamil would be allowed in the kitchen when my sister, mum and I prepare food for Iftar since it’s a girls only zone but if he could enter it, I know that he would be all calm and everything would be ready at least ten minutes before the adhan compared to the rat race that happens in my house where there are some days where we are laying the table like a minute before it’s time to break fast.
So the day before or two days before Eid, my mother or her friends would invite all of the ladies and their daughters for a henna party where we pay a professional to come and put henna on our arms (and sometimes feet) and we play music and sing and dance and eat sweets and it's a whole thing. Kalim would be upset that he can’t join us but he’d understand since it’s a girls only party and there will be women who want to take off their hijabs and relax but he would pay for like ten of the best henna artists he knows and order food for us and he’d be such a sweetheart like he’d be so happy when I’d show him my designs and he’d talk about how his siblings would wear henna and he used to wear it before he got tattoos.
So, my family likes to celebrate my dad’s lunar birthday since he was born during Ramadan and then, since my sister and I made a big deal of it, my parents decided that they’ll also celebrate our lunar birthdays as well - and by ‘celebrate’ I mean that my mum would order takeaway from our favourite restaurants for dinner - and I can so see this as a thing that Kalim would do only he would treat my lunar birthday as an actual birthday with cake and presents and the whole she-bang.
I kind of want to introduce Kalim to my grandma only to see his reaction to her calling my little sister ‘shaytan’ (satan/devil) as a term of endearment.
Speaking along those lines, I also have a very artistically talented friend who shares the same morbid humour as me and as a gift she made me a canvas with the words ‘Kullu nafsin thaiqatu almawti’ (Every soul shall taste death) written in arabic calligraphy that I have hung up in my bedroom and I would love to see Jamil or Kalim react to that just being one of the first things they see.

just me ranting about smthn islamophobic today so you can scroll if you want🤷♂️
bro my irl "best friend"(the atheist one who ruined my pro-Palestine bracelet) is islamophobic and i'm sure of it from today💀
there's a mosque next to our school and it started reciting one of it's prayers(i'm so sorry if that's not what it's called but ykwim) and she js said "fuck the mosque" to me and my (muslim) actual best friend because it annoyed her????? bitch no that's religion😭 it literally offended my actual best friend and she just said "well nobody understands me anyway..." and got away from us to be alone.
as an atheist myself, i got offended. yes, i know, i have nothing to do with islam but please bffr why does it annoy YOU? you literally have nothing to do with it so what's the problem? ofc nobody understands you cuz you're islamophobic in a country that's 50%+ just muslims. or anyone. it's just dumb.
also remembering the first time i suspected it at our excursion when we were buying magnets and there were a lot of ones with arabic/islamic stuff on them, sure. that time, she said "ughhh muslims" BRO????
has mostly nothing to do with Palestine but since she also finds the excuse that she's an atheist to not choose sides in a genocide, and Palestine is a mostly islamic country, i felt like i should post it here.
last night i cried for the Palestinians, they're engraved in my heart forever.

Hello Allah,
This is something I often do not talk about. And right now I do not have a lot of readers.
My family, mostly christians and one or two lovers of meditation will probably understand the following words.
Back in 2010 or so, I met a boy in my english class, he was wearing what is called a "buddhist mala". He, a bit afraid to say he is buddhist just told us it was a present.
My dad and mom never educated me in any particular religion. But I got interested, I discovered along with my mom that we were really good in meditation, so I started calling myself tibetan buddhist. But I needed something, a mala.
One day in a street market near Germany, I was in a hunt for antique things and I came across this woman who was selling malas. My sister bought it for me. The first thing I noticed, was the incredible smell of the wood.
In buddhism and hinduism the number 108 is very important. However my mala had 99 beads instead of 108, so I just counted more and never asked myself why 99.
I finished my undergraduate degree, started a graduate degree and every single day I meditated. Sometimes mantras, but mostly single words like "health" as I have a lot of problems with it.
My mala became part of my wall decoration as I used it so much that the string was too loose.
I went to internet and now I got a 108 beads mala.
My mom passed away almost 6 years ago and again my mala got broken. Grief was intense, as my family and me didn't know how sick she was. My health problems increased and with that my love for anthropology went down.
I looked on amazon for a new mala, it was pretty cheap and it looked amazing. It was sold to me as a meditation bracelet.
Guess what? 33 beads now.
I speak a bit arabic, or at least enough to undertand the word Allah and Muhammed (pbuh).
Did a logical anthropological/religious research and yes. I found it.
Allah has been by my side a long time. My meditations were prayers to him. My health is now good, not perfect because we are not perfect.
I went to Jordan to do some research related to archeology, a predominant muslim place.
Yesterday I asked on a tiktok video if a non muslim could visit the Kaaba, because as a history lover I know the story behind that beautiful place, I mean... the Kaaba! 🕋
I got a weird answer. "No darling, it is a holy place only for believers, not tourists"
It confused me a lot. I firmly believe that Allah found me, I speak to him and I see amazing answers. However, I do not have a shahada, I do not speak arabic fluently, but I recite dhikr, I use my tasbih (the proper name of the beads). So what am I?
I ask with so much respect to every muslim reading this.
Did Allah found me? Is that possible?
Thank you.
van Behn.

🍃🌹🍃 Lady Fatima al-Zahra (sa) in Surah al-Insan (76)
Allah the Exalted has said:
"Verily the Good shall drink of a Cup (of wine) mixed with Kafur. A fountain where the Devotees of God do drink, making it flow in unstinted abundance. They perform (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil lies far and wide. And, they feed, for the love of God, the indigent, the orphan and the captive. Saying, “We feed you for the sake of God alone; no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks.” “We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord.” But, God will deliver them from the evil of that day, and will shed over them a light of Beauty, and a (blissful) Joy. And, because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garment of) silk. Reclining in the (Garden) on raised thrones, they will see there neither the sun's (excessive heat), nor, (the moon's) excessive cold. And, the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility. And, amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver, and goblets of crystal; Crystal clear, made of silver. They will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes). And, they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of wine) mixed with Zanjabil. A fountain there, called Salsabil.
And around about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): if thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls. And when thou lookest, It is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent. Upon them will be green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine pure and Holy. Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavor is accepted and recognized." (76:5-22)
These verses were revealed after Ali (as), Fatima al-Zahra (sa), Hasan (as), and Hussain (as) gave charity to needy people; this story is stated in the book Al-Kashaf by Zamakhshari; it goes as follows:
"Ibn Abbas said:
“Once al-Hasan and al-Hussain (as) were ill, the Messenger of Allah and a group went to visit them. The visitors suggested to Imam Ali (as) to make a vow to Allah: if He were to relieve them, he would perform some good action. Therefore, Imam Ali (as) together with Fatima (sa) and their servant Fidhdha vowed to Allah that they would fast for three days if He would relieve Hasan and Hussain (pbbut).”
“When Allah had relieved them, Imam Ali (as) borrowed three (3) aswu (a cubic measure) of barley from a Jew known as Shimon. Fatima (sa) ground one (1) sa'a (singular of aswu) of the barley and baked five loaves of bread for her family's meal at sunset. As sunset approached, a needy man knocked on the door and said:
“Assalamu Alaikum, Family of Muhammad. I am a needy man from among the Muslims, feed me, may Allah feed you from the food of Paradise.' The holy family preferred the needy man over themselves and spent the night with nothing in their stomachs save water.”
“They fasted the second day, and again at sunset, when they were waiting for their food, an orphan asked them for help and they again preferred him over themselves. The third evening a captive (prisoner of war) asked them for help and they repeated their preference for the needy above themselves.”
“The following morning, Imam Ali (as) took al-Hasan and al-Hussain (pbbut) to the Messenger of Allah (S) who said the following when he saw them shaking like little chicks from hunger:
"The Prophet (S) said: It displeases us to see you in this condition.'
Then he went with them, for he wanted to see Fatima (sa). When they arrived, Fatima (sa) was in the Mehrab (prayer place), and her condition was such that it further displeased the Prophet (S). At this time, Gabriel descended and said:
“Take this chapter Muhammad, - Allah surely congratulates you for having this family.”
It is worthy to state that the Good ones mentioned here are Ali (as), Fatima al-Zahra (sa), Hasan (as), and Hussain (as); who deserve Paradise because of their act of feeding the needy, the orphan, and the captive.
Another point to keep in mind here is that despite the detailed description of Paradise given in the verses, Allah, the Exalted, does not mention the “huris”. This understood to be in honor and exaltation of Fatima al-Zahra (sa) the wife of Imam Ali (as), and the mother of Hasan (as) and Hussain (as).

Hand Held Meditation Beads Ideal Meditation Mala for Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Yogis & many more. 27+1 Beads, Also used as:
· Mala
· Praying Beads
· Meditation Beads
Why use the Meditation Beads?
Meditation can be quite a tricky practice because the mind is like a naughty child.
By its very nature, the mind tends to wander off during the meditation practice. If ones energy is low at the time of meditation, falling asleep can result.
If the energy is too high, fantasy and distraction become the barriers. At such times, the mala provides the much needed anchor.
The mala beads are moved in rhythm with the breath and the mantra, so that both-sleep as well as excessive mental distraction-are prevented by this action upon the beads.
For wearing:
A personal mala is a wonderful accessory to meditation, which when used regularly with a personal mantra, absorbs the vibrations of the practice. It becomes like a close friend or a comfortable piece of clothing! How to Use? The mala is traditionally held in the right hand and used in two ways - in one method; the mala is hanging between the thumb and the ring (third) finger. The thumb is used to rotate the mala by one bead towards oneself with each repetition of the mantra. In the other method, the mala is hanging on any finger.Brilliant finish and very decorative. Just wanted to add to that breathing thing that there are apps for that! I'm using one called Breathly, which has several predefined breathing patterns and can be set to silent (the options are male voice, female voice, gong cue, and silent).
In a quiet space such as a library you should obviously use the silent option (or wear headphones). You should also practice your favorite pattern at home so that you can use it in a setting where you can't use your phone (such as a classroom).
Another thing I do to distract myself is what I call "playing ABCs". I pick a topic (women's names, names of cities, verbs, whatever) and then slowly go through the alphabet, A through Z, trying to think of one for each letter. If I can't think of one for some letter or another, I think "pass" to myself. This latter part takes some practice, though, so this is another thing you may want to try in advance so you won't be disappointed or mad at yourself for having to use "pass" when you actually need it.
If you're the religious type, there may be some simple prayer or meditation that's suitable for calming yourself down in stressful situations. If you're a Muslim, tasbeeh (which you can count on your fingers) should be really calming. If you're Christian, a full rosary would probably be too much, but there's something called a Wreath of Christ that should be helpful too. (Unlike with the tasbeeh, I don't think there's a way of counting it on your fingers, but it's easy enough to make from wooden or felted beads and it looks like a somewhat idiosyncratic bracelet.)
Coping ideas for anxiety in a quiet space (like a classroom or library)
Have a comfort/stim item that is quiet/subtle. This might include something really soft in your pocket you can pet to ground yourself or even a necklace you can fidget with. Maybe there’s even a stress ball you can squeeze.
If there’s nothing you have on you, maybe do something like tap a pattern on your leg to a favourite song and focus on the physical feeling. Or even trace patterns on your leg.
Think about what’s around you. What do you see? What colours are the walls? What is the floor made of? Name five items in the room with you?
Listen to the sounds where you are and list them off. Are there bugs chirping outside? Are people doing work outside? Do you hear a heater/fan going?
Have a mantra if you need grounding that you can repeat (quietly in your head) to focus on. Example: “My name is ___. I am ___ years old. I live in ___. I am safe. ”
Practice some breathing exercises when you aren’t anxious that you can recall and use quietly.
If you are able to, have a water bottle that you can sip on (or even a to go mug with a herbal tea/drink of your choice).
Focus on distractions if you can. Think about something fun you want to do later, or try and come up with a fun story for a stranger you might have seen earlier.
Focus on neutral or positive affirmations. An example of a neutral one might be “I’m anxious, but I’ve been anxious before and gotten through this. This will all be over soon.”
If you can, doodle a bit on some paper.
Plan out a self-care activity you’re going to do later. Maybe you plan to go get your favourite tea after, or put on your favourite music, maybe watch a comfort show. You may not be able to do these things in the moment but think of them and how you will be doing them later.
If you can, step out for a few minutes. Breathe some fresh air.
Remember that your anxiety and feelings are valid. And you are going to make it through!

I really did just type up a whole thing about today's Ms Marvel episode only for Tumblr to just eat it, huh.
ANYWAY. Here goes it again.
I'm so glad this episode gave Nakia more screentime! And she is a delight! I love that she's running for the Mosque Board and I'd totally vote for her if I could. And her manipulating Yusuf like that was absolutely hilarious. I also loved her mini-speech about why she wears her hijab.
Pretty interesting that the episode touched on a problem some (maybe many? every masjid I've been to has had this problem) masjids have of leaving the women's prayer room in worse condition than the men's prayer room. Thankfully the masjid my family went to when I was growing up at least maintained the women's prayer room enough that it wasn't completely falling apart, but it was still less than 1/4th the size of the men's prayer room and it was completely bare while the men's prayer room was elaborately decorated with golden calligraphy and art. I never thought that was very fair.
Speaking of things this episode touched on that I have personal experience with, the Bollywood talk was delightful. I may or may not have started playing the soundtracks to both Baazigar and DDLJ because of it. I'm with Kamala on this, I must say; I also prefer Baazigar to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. SRK is really good as a villain. I think DDLJ's songs are better overall, though. I kind of wonder what Kamran's least favorite Shah Rukh Khan movie is that he apparently mentioned offscreen.
Speaking of Kamran, it's interesting watching him here especially as someone who is very familiar with Kamala's comics, because from the moment I knew who he was here, I knew he'd be bad news. I wonder about his mom here, though, because in the comics, she wasn't really involved in Kamran's villainy at all. Between Kamran's involvement in this season considering in the comics, his whole deal (spoilers I guess?) was that he's an Inhuman supremacist, and the fact that the bracelet is specifically stated to have unlocked powers Kamala already had within her, as well as the mystery with Kamala's great-grandmother, I'm wondering if Kamala is gonna be an Inhuman in the MCU too.
The discussion of the trauma of Partition in this episode was greatly appreciated especially since it's really not something that gets discussed much if at all in history classes in the West. I don't have much personal family history with it really--my mom always said that our ancestors, despite being Muslim, probably never moved to Pakistan because Anantapur and Bangalore are very far from Karachi (for context, Anantapur and Bangalore are cities in southern India)--so honestly, I never really learned about it at all growing up.
I was surprised to hear the mention of the FBI already surveiling mosques, specifically because I was not expecting the MCU to even touch that.
I'm really looking forward to the next episode!

What is Islamic Beads?
A very popular and popularly sold item in Rajasthan is the jewelry made from Islamic beads. These beads come in a large variety of styles, sizes and colors and they are widely popular among local people as well as tourists. The Rajasthani tribal people use these items to make unique gifts for their loved ones. There is a great demand for such products among buyers and sellers both online and offline in Pakistan.
Types of Prayer Beads
The beads are of various types. The most commonly used types in the jewellery made from Islamic beads are: Naadi Beads, Hilba (Pakistani or Darjeeling), Raksha Bandhan, Hand woven Naadis (upper thread only) and Hand woven Darjeeling. These prayer tasbeeh have very traditional designs, which give them an exquisite and charming look. Some of the more commonly used styles include: Qalii, Kerka, Safa, Bilma, Gulabi, Darjeeling, Kufri, Khatmohar, Jaisamand, Choli, etc. This is just an outline of a few styles and types of these divine items.
Main Purpose of Prayer Beads
The primary purpose of using such blessed beads is to show the devotion and respect for the glorious prophet Muhammad (SAW). This can also help you in building strong relationships with other people who are closely related to you by religion or faith. In order to know more about the divine nature of these holy beads, we will have to go into the details of how to wear Islamic prayer beads.
Firstly, you should know in details the different types of these items that you have in mind to buy. As we have mentioned earlier that they are divine items, so the second step that you have to do is to decide upon their appearance and order quantity. You have to keep in mind that these are holy objects and their value is priceless. You can buy them in different colors, sizes, shapes and styles according to your needs. For example, in order to buy white riddhi beads you do not need to make a big investment. Similarly, if you want to know the right way to pack the beads in plastic bags and finally packaged in corrugated boxes then this can be of great help.
The Complete mentioning of Each Terms
This article would not be complete without mentioning that it is necessary to know the meaning of each of these terms. In order to know what the different terms mean in the context of Islamic rosary and their packaging then we have to go into the detail of each of the terms mentioned above. We are referring here to the terms 'pakka' or 'turban' and also miscellaneous terms like 'salwar', 'lehenga' and 'kameez'. It is very important that you take time to understand these terms in their specific contexts so that you can be clear about what you are purchasing and also what you are packing. The purpose of the discussion that follows is about how the designer jewelry was made by the mughal designers in the thirteenth century.
Prayer is recited both Men and Women
The first description of the term is that it is the short but meaningful prayer that is recited by both Muslim men and women during the prayers. The second description is that it is a string of decorative beads. The final description is that it is a handmade string of semi-precious beads that is worn by both Muslim women and men to make them look elegant. In fact, the term is also used by many jewellery designers and wearers of traditional Indian and South Asian jewelry. In Islamic countries, it is used to describe the ornamental items of high value. For instance, tasbihs is a cheap silver bracelet that is worn by Muslim women in Pakistan and is considered to be a cheap kind of Islamic jewelry.
Uses of Misbaha Beadas
The use of the term misbaha initially included the use of 33 small beads corresponding to the foundation of the Taj Mahal, the golden structure of the mosques in present day Islamabad. However, this was changed later in accordance to the changing social mores of the masses. The Taj Mahal was built with a series of smaller buildings known as Mughal Kaaris. The use of the term misbaha initially included the use of 33 beads corresponding to the foundation of the Taj Mahal, the golden structure of the mosques in present day Islamabad. However, this was changed later in accordance to the changing social mores of the masses.
The term is a misnomer, as it is not used to connote any kind of religious ritual. The term is used to refer to the decorative beads of various sizes, shapes and colors. This also includes the semi-precious stones, glass rods, wooden beads, plastic and metal beads. You can find these semi-precious stones as tasbih from GiftIslamic.
The term is often used to connote the Islamic faith and is usually applied to Muslim religious articles, especially to Islamic jewelry, prayer beads, and holy articles and objects. While, dhikr is an ablative verb (verb meaning to draw out) used to describe any act of worship. Dhikr is an act of worship performed with the use of Islamic objects, which are not necessarily made of objects mentioned in the Islamic religion. In Islamic beliefs, there is no limit to the items that can be used in the worship or prayer. It is, however, usually restricted to things that are of a nature similar to or conforming to the religion.

Practical Use of Tasbeeh Beads
Rosary beads, which are often mistakenly attributed exclusively to pagan attributes, exist both in the Orthodox world and among Muslims. Each of the accessories has its own story and features. For example, Orthodox rosary is a closed bracelet, in which every ten large grains are followed by one small one, and a cross is used as a pendant.
Muslim tasbeeh beads are similar to them, but have their own specifics - a small grain is found for every 11 large ones, and the lingam closes the circle. This is a symbol of the manifestation of willpower.
The use of the rosary is a complete system
The rosary is considered as an integral system, each link of which is a beat of the human heart. To use the product correctly, you need to take it in your right hand and feel the pulse with your left. Each beat is counted with one grain.
This is only needed at the beginning. When the rhythm becomes clear to you, you don't have to track your heartbeats - you can proceed to work with the rosary. With our eyes closed, we count to 10 and, reaching the small bead, we understand that we need to do kumbhaka (holding the breath), another 10 - rechaka (exhalation), the last 10 - sunyaku. At this moment, you need to firmly squeeze the lingam (cross, cone-shaped attachment) and stay in this position for at least 10 seconds. It is a powerful weapon against stress, an assistant in calming down, bringing the emotional state into balance. The thing is that to perform simple manipulations with grains, only a small part of the brain is involved and all concentration is aimed at enumerating the rosary.
At this time, a person abstracts from the world around him, and his head rests. This is very important, because a state of calm is exactly what is so difficult to achieve in the constant bustle, rapid kaleidoscope of days, people and events. Speaking about the practical use of rosaries, be they Orthodox or Muslim attributes, it is important to note their power in the fight against post-traumatic stress disorder. There are separate, more complex techniques for this.
Tasbeeh Beads as a Muslim Gift
It is a custom in Islam to present gifts to one another on timely meetups or on any special occasion. If we talk about a complete muslim gift pack, then it may contain a prayer mat, prayer cap, Islamic frames, necklaces and tasbeeh beads.
Tasbeeh beads are used in different terms i.e they may be used just for praying purpose or as a jewelry item like a wristlet or any other jewelry item to go out casually or attend any religious event.
The rosary is the most valuable inheritance that we inherited from our ancestors. It is a powerful and accessible tool for dealing with anxiety and stress, a guide to the world of a bright being, unencumbered by base instincts and everyday problems.

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh): The Battle of Tabuk and Afterwards
The Expedition of Tabuk
(The month of Rajab, 9th year of the Migration / AD 630)
The 9th year of the Migration is the year when Islam spread in the Arabian Peninsula with all of its grandeur. On the one hand, people came to Madinah in large groups to become Muslims and to pay allegiance to the Messenger of God; on the other hand, he sent officials and governors to arrange the religious and administrative affairs of the tribes that became Muslims. To sum up, Islam experienced its most magnificent and splendid period in the 9th year of the Migration.
However, there were some states that could not put up with the magnificence of this bright sun. One of them was the Byzantine Empire, which was one of the strongest states of that time. Heraclius was the Byzantine Emperor then. He was preparing a big army as a result of the provocations of the Christian Arabs living around in order to eliminate the religion of Islam and its followers. The tribes of Juzam, Lahm, Amila, Ghassan and others decided to join the army of Heraclius. They planned to attack Madinah like a flood and to destroy Muslims.
The Messenger of God was informed about the situation and started to make prepartions.
When the Prophet set off for an expedition, he did not use to tell people about his purpose; he used to act and talk as if he was going somewhere else.
This time, he did not do so. He told people about the distance of the place, he told the mujahids clearly that it was a period of famine and scarcity and that the number of the enemy was very big.
When the preparations for the war started in Madinah, the Prophet sent some Companions to the Muslim tribes around and asked them to send mujahids for the war.
The Help of the Rich
There was drought and famine everywhere. Most of the mujahids that would take part in the war had no money to buy weapons and to spend on war preparations.
The Messenger of God asked the rich Muslims to help for war preparations and equipment.
The rich Muslims answered this call immediately.
Hazrat Umar’s Help
Hazrat Umar was one of the first people to answer the call of the Messenger of God. He said to himself, “I will surpass Abu Bakr today.” He brought half of his property to the Prophet.
The Messenger of God asked, “O Umar! What did you leave to your family?”
He said, “As much as I brought to you.”
Hazrat Abu Bakr’s Help
Hazrat Abu Bakr brought all of his property, which amounted to four thousand dirhams of silver to the Prophet.
Hazrat Umar wanted to find out what he brought.
The Prophet said, “O Abu Bakr! What did you leave to your family?”
He said, “I left God and His Messenger to them.”
Upon this sacrifice, Hazrat Umaru’l-Faruq started to cry and said, “May my mother and father be sacrificed for you, O Abu Bakr! You always surpass me in all of the races of goodness. I have now realized that I will never be able to surpass you.”
Hazrat Uthman’s Help
Hazrat Uthman, who was called Dhun-Nurayn (the Possessor of two Lights), had prepared a trade caravan to send to Damascus. When he heard the call of the Prophet, he gave up sending the caravan to Damascus and gave the three hundred camels with the goods on them to the Messenger of God. He also gave fifty horses and one thousand coins of gold.
Upon this sacrifice of Hazrat Uthman b. Affan, the Messenger of God said, “O God! I am pleased with Uthman; You be pleased with him, too.”
Abdurrahman b. Awf’s help
Abdurrahman b. Awf joined the help campaign of the Messenger of God with four thousand dirhams.
He said, “O Messenger of God! I am giving you four thousand dirhams; I have left four thousand for my family.”
The Messenger of God said, “May what you brought here and left for your family be abundant.”
Due to the effect of the prayer of the Messenger of God, when Abdurrahman b. Awf died, each one of his four wives received eighteen thousand mithqals of gold as inheritance.
Many Muslims did their best to join the help campaign. Some of them brought dates; some brought their camels for the service of the army. None of them avoided help; nobody paid attention to the size and amount of what they brought. Some brought a lot of things; others brought few things. .
The Person who Brought One Sa’ of Dates
Abu Aqil came to the presence of the Messenger of God with one sa’ of dates in his hand.
He said, “O Messenger of God! I carried water all night in return for two sa’s of dates. I left one sa’ for my family and brought one sa’ to you in order to attain my Lord’s consent.”
The Messenger of God was affected by this incident and said, “May God make what you brought here and left for your family abundant.” He ordered the dates to be put into the dates of sadaqah.
Ulba b. Zayd, who was a very poor Muslim, wanted to join the help campaign but he had almost nothing to give. He prayed God: “O God! You ordered us to make jihad. However, you did not give me an animal to make jihad on.” Then, he brought some things that he used at home to the Messenger of God.
He said, “O Messenger of God! I have nothing that I can give as sadaqah. I am giving the things that I am using. If anyone distresses me, says bad things about me or says, ‘Can this thing be given as sadaqah?’, I will forgive him.”
The Prophet said, “May God accept your sadaqah.”
The following day, the Prophet asked his Companions, “Where is the person who gave sadaqah last night?”
Nobody moved.
This time, the Prophet said, “Let the person who gave sadaqah last night stand up.”
Ulba stood up.
The Messenger of God said, “I accepted your sadaqah. Good news for you! I swear by God, in whose hand is the existence of Muhammad that you were recorded in the registry of those whose sadaqahs were accepted.”
Ulba became very glad when he heard this.
Sacrifices of the Muslim Women
The sacrifices made by the Muslim women were also commendable. Without any hesitation, they gave all of their jewels around their necks, hands and ears to the Messenger of God for the war preparation of the army that would make jihad.
Umm Sinan of the tribe of Aslam says,
“I saw a cloth laid on the ground in front of the Messenger of God in the house of Aisha. There were ivory bracelets, arm-bands, rings, anklets, ear-rings, belts to tie the feet of camels and things that could be used in making preparations for the war sent by the women.”
Thanks to those contributions, many Muslims who had difficulty in taking part in the war due to famine, drought and poverty were provided with weapons and equipment; thus, they got ready for the expedition.
