The family roadtrip from Niagara Falls to NYC brought us to a route through Pennsylvania (since we were staying in New Jersey).
And I remembered that Doug has history in Pittsburgh (the absolutely opposite direction)

Cover of the program for Better Times at the Hippodrome, 1922-23. Among the huge cast of this three-act "super-musical spectacle" was one Archie Leach, who later became known as Cary Grant. The show was a hit, running 405 performances.

I feel jealous of everyone that lives in NYC. Y'all get the opportunity to go to the Theater district see plays and musicals with stars most of will never get the chance to.
I really wish some streaming service would make a deal with some of play houses and/or Broadway Theaters to record their performances so those of us that will never have another way to see those performances will get a chance to watch them. I know it's not going to the same experience as seeing them done live.
But imagine how amazing it would be for, say, children or their grandparent that's lived in, say, Nebraska their whole life could watch Broadway version of the Lion King or see Wicked.
They did it with Hamilton on Disney plus. It gave me a chance I wouldn't of had way to see it. It was amazing!!
I just find it extremely sad that only certain number of people are allowed to enjoy these brilliance plays and musicals, basically solely on location and financially able.
For example the only play I've ever seen in my life was done by the theater class at my high school. I don't ever remember the play it's been so long.
As hard as it's to comprehend for some, many of us are either not financially fortunate to be able to go to such things or don't find interest in them until older or we live in area of the country where they don't have access to such things.
That's why recording the plays and musicals having them available on a streaming platform would be such a brilliant idea. If they didn't want to do it during a live performance, which makes sense. Do a performance just for the recording. Which I actually think is a better idea, they could get better camera angles, the cameras could move around more freely, they bother a live audience that way and it would be recorded better for the views who actually going be watching it at home. Let's be honest I doubt highly they'd lose ticket sales, I personally think it would do opposite. I think it would make people that could go see it more inclined to do so. To experience it live, to get be that close to brilliant actors, to know before hand if its good for their kids, etc...
I hate that we live in such an elitist society.

So there’s this amazinggg local theatre in Millburn NJ called the Papermill Playhouse and it’s about a 45 min drive from NYC. And in the fall they’re going to do Great Gatsby the Musical. SO EVA IS GONNA PLAY DAISY! but wait ITS GETS BETTER. THE ROLE OF JAY GATSBY IS GOING TO BE PLAYED BY JEREMY JORDAN! sooooo if u feel like supporting Eva even after Hadestown maybe check it out. I think as a theater community we need to stop making fun of each other for favorite musicals/favorite performers/favorite anything theater related.
This don’t mean that you can’t say you don’t love a piece of media, or that you don’t see the meaning or appeal of it.
what it means is that you’re gonna be a decent fucking human being and not make fun of people.
example: If someone likes Ben Platt (which I do) you don’t need to say that they’re “so basic” and pretend that he isn’t a professional performer who does a great job.
it isn’t hard.

Which LSOH adaptation makes the most bank?
Tumblr media
It's pretty obvious that money is important to the main little shop of horrors storyline, but out of the multiple Adoptations who are the "richest poor people"
In this post I'll be covering the following versions going from poorest to richest and mentioning the richest of these
-the og short story by H.G wells
-Arthur C.Clarkes short story
-the 1960 movie
-the musical+ movie musical (will be merged together)
-the cartoon
1. The 1960 movie
Tumblr media
The og film adoption is definitely the poorest. (In my opinion in ofc these are all opinions) practically every character suffers hardships. Farb has a very small office and has a small budget for plants,Ms.Shiva asks for discounts,Seymour can't afford to take audery on a date, the typical "we need to close the shop!!!" Fiasco,Etc. But unlike the next adaptation there are no "Rich" characters
So who is the Richest in the 1960 movie? I've gotta go with Burson Fouch based off the fact he can stand around all day buying flowers
2.Musical/Movie-Musical
Tumblr media
Next is our most popular versions, and while they aren't too different I'd like to consider them different for one certain factoid.
The poor-ness in this version is a lot less subtle. Which Seymour right off the bat going "poor.all my life I've allways been poor." (Here comes the part I mentioned at the start) in the movie-musical he still lives in the shop but he might not in the musical. Sure he definitely had as a child but Seymour leaves way more kinda implying he has somewhere else to go (if that makes sense)
Audery is now implied to be under financial stress aswell. (She wasn't in the '60 film) having to presumably live off of orin
Speaking of orin he is this versions richest character
Tumblr media
Here's why,
-owns his own business
-has a pretty big clinic (it's bigger then the shop and farbs office combined)
-owns a motorcycle. No otther skid row resident seems to have any form of vehicle. He also has to pay for Gas for it.
-regularly buys hair product
-Able to employ (farb couldn't afford that)
And on top of all that he allegedly financially supports audery.
These next two are gonna take a different direction. The following are both short story's with 2 charcthers and the main charcther Is has all the dough,so I'll just be listening why the charcthers are well off
3.Clarke's story
Tumblr media
This storys main character is named Hercules
-Hercules lives on his own
-he has a plant collection which of course costs money to care for,and some of his plants are costly.
-is able to support his life style while spending much of his time at home
4.Wells' story
Tumblr media
Our protagonist here is named winter wedderburn.
-winter lives in a pretty nice house
-has a house keeper
-again can afford to buy and maintain rare plants
-Also collects otther things
-and he does it all WITHOUT HAVEING A FUCKING JOB
(And wells tried to tell me this guy was like middle class)
5. Cartoon
(OK next one may not actually be the most financial well off but I didn't really know how one would go about appropriately breaking up the short stories section becausei feel as though winter would totally win but I'm talking about the most well off universe not just person)
Tumblr media
So in little shop all the charcthers are actually not doing so bad.(I mean it may be a little odd to have the charcthers struggle with poverty in a Relatively upbeat show)
the kids go to a pretty good school considering the fact they have home EC and are able to just buy a refrigerator (and have a fully functional shop class)
Seymour and his mom still live in that big ass house and she doesn't seem to work considering the fact she just seems to Exercise all day. So overall everyone is doing way better then previous adaption.
Exspicly our richest charcther,Dr. Driller and there's actually a reason. Driller is motivated by money instead of pain with it just happening to be a product of his work.(despite his son being named paine)
He has a nice car,got his kid that sweet little motor bike thing, pays his sister to work for him,and I think he payed for his sister's wedding in that one episode.
So how are we liking the gifs?I've been thinking of making my posts look a little more visually appealing, maybe throw in some of those divider things and stuff

Why should children need to dance often?
Children of all ages can find great satisfaction in dancing. It improves mood and helps with muscle tone and coordination. Children's dance is a fantastic option for your toddler's health and well-being, with a wealth of research and experience to support it. The benefits of dance can be obtained by your child even if they only participate in a dance school in NYC once or twice a week. In this post, you will learn why children should need to dance often:
Enhances Physical Well-being
Enjoying dancing from a young age can inspire children to maintain an active lifestyle as they age. What a fantastic sport dance is, and your kid should be part of the dancing community. Engaging your kids in dancing classes can help them grow stronger and more resilient. Improved growth in these areas benefits kids' general health and extracurricular activities like athletics and other extracurriculars, both inside and outside the classroom.
Improves the emotional and mental well-being:
Due to the dopamine release caused by dancing, your kid can be emotionally confident and mentally strong. Voice lessons NYC can also promote emotional growth.
Tumblr media
Kids participating in kids' dancing classes are more cooperative and less prone to bully other youngsters. They are more well-liked in society since they can express their emotions more effectively. Children who participate in dance for kids also learn a wider range of skills and activities that will benefit them now and in the future.
Promotes Team Collaboration:
Dancing is an activity done in teams. Young dancers are required to work as a team, follow teacher directions, and coordinate choreography. They also learn how to listen well and obey directions from one another. Dancing and athletics are comparable in that both require cooperation to achieve common aims or objectives. Similarly, musical theater NYC can be another option for kids to enhance their team cooperation skills.
Final words:
If you want your kids to be creative and express themselves, it is best to help them dance regularly. Moreover, you can opt for theater classes for NYC kids to let different art forms grow in their blood right from a young age.
