just watched wicked. this is what i felt the whole time

#SUCH A WONDERFUL MUSICAL ADAPTATION #i never thought i would see the day wicked gets such a wonderful adaptation. only in my wildest dreams #the movie truly respected its source material and musicality #unlike some other adaptation (glares at mean girls 2024)#anyways ariana is actually brilliant as glinda and she is the highlight of the movie #cynthia is amazing as elphaba (but her meme is still fuckin hilarious still wouldve preferred if she had red lipstick)#i think the actor for fiero looks too old tho. hes like the campus frat dude that stayed in school for 10 years #i was by myself and whispered 'hes too old' and girl next to me told her friend 'guy looks too old'#LMFAOOOOOOOOO but otherwise i think this movie is absolutely brilliant #i also love the Mom from Everything Everywhere All At Once is Morrible #she suits her so well #i squealed when Indina and Kristina appeared. delightful surprise

#answers from ohio #ooc answer - 2024 was NOT the year of good meals considering weve been renovating the kitchen majority of the year #but back in January my family all went on a Disney cruise for my sister's sweet 16 #i cannot pinpoint an exact favorite meal from that trip so here's the highlights #infinite ice cream. really good breakfast sausage. perfectly cooked steak. an ice cream sundae. non-alcoholic pina coladas. roasted pork.#it was a 4 day cruise and there was a grand ballroom dinner every single night #and during all 4 nights we had the same server which was AMAZING because he somehow managed to feel like an actual friend to all of us #ALL WHILE BEING A MAGICIAN #he knew so many magic tricks and he showed us a new one every night and it was AWESOME #10/10 would recommend going on a cruise #good food. nice people. live theater performances of full musicals of disney movies every night too #and Castaway Cay? Disney's private island in the Bahamas? let me tell you. there were rental bikes #im getting very sidetracked from the fact that this is a post about food but like. good memories #and just to clarify im not obsessed with Disney i just enjoy when other people pay for me to go to nice places and Disney happens to be a #common one

Within the last decade, one of the most unsung forms of content creation has been the Avenue known as webtoons, anime esque comics in which a storyline can play out over very serious weeks months, and even years where a fan base can be built and even converted over.

The notable adaptations from this medium have included Tower of God, The God of High School, Solo Leveling, and Nobleese.

One more this year joined its ranks.

True Beauty concerns Jugeyon Lim, a student known for not having the best complexion. After being bullied throughout middle school, she decides to utilize her skills and a bunch of online make up tutorials to give herself a much needed makeover as she enters high school.

Quickly becoming what many assume to be a goddess.

But two factors enter in the form of the school heartthrob, and an old friend who the friended her at her lowest point.

The story itself has been adapted into many forms, including a great K drama And its novelization with its Webtoon source material.

This year we got a Korean anime adaptation featuring a theme by someone who is famous for covering Taylor Swift over in Seoul.

Jo Yuri after going viral with her cover of Cruel Summer unexpectedly gives a catchy opening theme that actually rivals some of the anime best from this year.

Catchy beats and definitely wants to know Jugeyons mindset as she adapts to truly finding out what is love.

Manwha really does deliver great work.

SUM 22: Jo Yuri dives into the mindset of a teen trying to escape her inward appearance with Jugeyons proxy in the True Beauty opening theme.

#after a whole year my girls delivered (as expected) 💯#another great album (mini… I want a full one so badly but I know how busy they’ve been)#they truly have such an amazing diverse discography already #their music has been incredibly well produced since debut and really highlights their vocals well #I love how they are 10 years into their careers but still constantly trying new things and showing artistic growth #you can tell how much they love what they do #SinB’s rap in Cliché I was gagged that’s a whole new tone for her I love it #I NEED to see Cliché’s choreo it’s so powerful and cunty… hopefully they pull an Untie with this one!#but Shhh! was the right choice for title track it’s so catchy and danceable #Full Moon could be my number 1 and one of my favorite VIVIZ songs ever & songs this year but it’s criminally short and missing a bridge :(#still LOVE it!! Cosmic girls VIVIZ 🙌🏼 again something they’ve never tried before #I really like Hypnotize!
