#the band ghost #nameless ghoul oc #i mostly wanted practice making a character sheet ish thingy #and by god i got that #had to work hard for her colors which is not usually a problem for me #and the silhouette flip like if your character doesnt have a tail then bam its done and no one will notice the small problems #but it doesnt work with a tail if you want perspective i had to redraw/move her tail around to make it look right so. learned that very much #i like the layout concept though thats nice #i have a whole backstory for her. she was part of a group summon and it all went fine except that one person was missing and they ended up #with a statue. she was too terrified to talk to anyone so she got left there and after it sounded empty she reverted and found some place to #hide in the gardens. so she lives there now. and ruins a lot of socks. and helps with the plants not that anyone knows that. and panics and #turns to stone if anyone walks by. so everyone does realize theres a moving shifting statue in the abbey but no one is sure what to do about #that. doesnt speak much if at all. doesnt steal a new shirt bc people notice if those go missing unlike socks. has anxiety bitch face also #yeah. and like. i dont know what a fandom is and i certainly dont know what a music is and thats why ill likely not do anything with her #which kinda sucks. but i still made her a character sheet cause she wont leave me alone. and for the practice #cause if i think about doing a sheet for story ocs i get all perfectionist and it doesnt happen #the luck thing is that she kinda thinks being summoned was a curse #im gonna shut up now

#feeling bad that i cant just be content to post something #but when i get 4 notes or 20 notes or 50 notes it's not enough #and when i get thousands of views on youtube videos it's the ones that i no longer have any attachment to #like im supposed to give a shit about capturing that lightning in a bottle when its a song im not proud of anymore #that i made at a point in my life im glad is over #ive met a couple fans who have mentioned liking kirby pride and kirbtober specifically #and it makes me so happy that they like the stuff that i still like #i knlw i should like my backlog but #to me they serve as keepsakes and nothing more #a stepping stone to where i was when i started my minecraft cover “series”#that lead me to kirby pride #which lead me to making songs easier which lead me to kirbtober #which burnt me out and lead me to I need to #which exists but only in my head #and on my computer #the album so close yet so far #every step i take towards completing it the clearer it is that the goal is at the horizon #and oh my god thats only the first half #i guess i should try not to spoil part 2 but its still too much in a concept phase #as much as i hate that #the first half is called 'I need to' and it's an album about my experiences after i graduated in 2022 and links awakening #about stagnation #wasting my time #part 2 is called 'wake up'#and it's about my choice at the end of Links awakening #to stop playing after i opened the wind fish's egg #moving past the world i knew was too hard a thought to bear #so i buried it #i havent seriously touched the game after that #and in a way that i cant explain to myself in a way other than music i feel as though i have done this

Interviewer: So tell us…where do these riffs come from? Take ‘Monkey Man', which has been making appearances in the current live shows.

Keith: I dunno, it's a facility of mine, the riff thing. I love good intros and I love a good middle breakdown that sets the thing up for the end, and I really don't know where they come from. Obviously I've listened to loads of stuff, but they're not anybody else's, they're a mixture of everything I learned really.

Also, when you play with Charlie Watts, you've got that amount of swing and rhythm behind you and it's very easy to surprise yourself. Because from my point of view I'm bouncing off Charlie Watts, we're both swapping rhythms, cutting it up, and when we get really cocky we even try and fuck each other up. 'Aha! Got you, just this once!' You can't do it on your own in an isolated thing. To come up with those sort of riffs you've got to have the drums there, 'cos that's the inspiration. So what do I say? 'Monkey Man', the riff, I got it off Charlie Watts and he doesn't even know it.

i think as time goes on itll be easier to like the beatles as long as we keep up the trend of younger people not liking them.

#do you know how much easier itd be to accept that they made good music and innovated quite a bit #if i wasnt constantly having them shoved down my throat as THE MOST IMPORTANT BAND TO EVER EXIST #idk from my perspective... they were active in the 60s bro if they didnt exist someone else would have made those same innovations #other people around them were innovating all over the place #and the entire british invasion (which wasnt even just them!!) was built on the forward thinking of black american artists in the 50s #so like. yeah if the beatles didnt exist music history probably wouldnt have been that crazy different #like youre telling me NOBODY else. IN THE 60S. would have made the same steps forward that the beatles did?#like you really think john was this magical being gifted with creativity that invented all these ideas out of thin air???#no. their innovations were because they were active during THE decade of experimenting and making new moves in pop & rock.#people around them were inventing whole new genres and recording styles too smh anyway. its just so annoying.#they were just the most popular and one of the more active groups at the time so a lot of changes were credited to them #(even some of the ones that they didn't actually come up with.)#avpost #anyway. that's my rant. also they didn't even get good until bob dylan taught them to smoke weed.#i also alluded to it before but i don't think the 60s were such a time of innovation bc of them either. tired of that narrative #the beatles were not the only new band doing wildly different things in 1963 the stones crossed over at the exact same time #followed very closely by a lot of other uk bands.#plus like i said these bands were only so different bc they grew up loving black american artists' music .#so... that's the group that was actually innovating. the uk bands wereinspired by THEM. where's their flowers.#and there was tons of evolution in music during the 60s that had fuck all to do with the Beatles or rock at all.#*gestures aggressively to the invention of soul. which affected any and all pop music that came after it*#ive seen it argued that the supremes deserve just as much credit as the beatles do #but as a diehard supremes fan ill keep my opinion on that to myself since im . Getting up early has become my new 'bringing things to do on the train', in that I made an effort to start getting up earlier to achieve a load of things on my list and instead I'm just sitting here vegetating and am reluctant to start any of the tasks in case it cuts into my essential Looking Out Of The Window Time
