My Quirky Taste in Music: MTV Unplugged - Liam Gallagher
Tumblr media
Year Released: 2020
Country: United Kingdom
All reviews of Liam Gallagher’s MTV Unplugged session invariably mention the infamous MTV Unplugged concert by Oasis in 1996, when both the long running program and Oasis were at the height of their cultural and creative powers. Gallagher missed that concert, going on a week long bender, only to show up in the balcony drunk during the taping to heckle his brother Noel, who was filling in for Liam’s singing duties. There’s a sense of righting a historical wrong in Liam making this album. As with all things Gallagher, many of this concert’s features are designed to contrast with Liam’s older brother - the man who wrote the defining, anthemic songs Liam brought life to with his voice. The choice of city, Hull, is deliberate (Noel famously disparaged the city), as is singing songs that Noel sang for Oasis.
All that said, judged on its own merits, the album highlights Liam’s strengths and weaknesses. The obvious weaknesses are the songs from Liam’s solo career, none of which jump out at the listener. It’s the Oasis songs that catch the listener’s ear. Part of that is thanks to the mix, which highlights the audience singing every word of the Oasis songs. You can feel the unusually strong connection between Liam and his audience, feel them carrying notes that Liam (whose voice is better than it’s been in years) cannot elongate anymore with his trademark sneer inflection. Hearing the audience pick up Noel’s missing backing vocals at the end of “Some Might Say” sends a chill up one’s spine.
The best song on the album is the one Liam steals from his brother Noel. “Sad Song” was a b-side, the first one to be sung solely by Noel and its lyrics feature many of his trademark romantic melancholy. Liam sings it his way. His phrasing - always assertive, always gritty - invokes the song’s outrage with breathtaking forthrightness. It’s an absolute stunner. You can feel the conversation happening between brothers, the omnipresent strain between them, and the magic that made Oasis the anthemic voice of a generation of Britons.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was my britday month and I watched a lot of flims like always. Also yes, barbie is the reason this month is so late. I have a lot of thought that i dont really know how to express.
Flims
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) Dir. Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson, Kemp Powers
Yes I watched it agine. It still amazing, and i feel like seeing on the big screen adds to the whole thing much more. This is literally the only movie I've seen twice in cinama, and it's so worth it. It weirdly felt quicker to watch, but i think because I knew what i was expecting. But it's still so good. Especially, the ending crdits. I love how they look and how they symobolise every event in the movie. 10/10
Tumblr media
Nimona (2023) Dir. Troy Quane, Nick Bruno
I watched this movie hungover and by god it was fucking great. It one of those movie that haven't stop thinking about (at the time of writing this) I just love thinking about the charaters and what they mean to each other, and the theme, and how the movie can explore so much and mean so many different things to different people. I also love the character design as well, and how imo, impove the desgins from the comic. Idk, it just one of those things that make me want to create my own stories 9/10
Tumblr media
Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop (2021) Dir. Kyohei Ishiguro
I remember i started this movie when it came out, got like 20 minents into it and i just wasn't into it. Anyway, I restarted it and ended up sobbing like a baby. Frist things first, i adore the colours, that what drew me to the movie in the first place aswell as how the movie animated. Idk, I'm not an expert, but the way the characters move just looked so nice and smooth . I don't know what extaly affected me, i think it has to with the exploration frist love?? idk. Like i said, im still not compltye sure. 8/10
The Report (2019) Dir. Scott Z. Burns
death2American. But ya i just felt so annoyed watching this movie. The movie itself was good, i like a lot of the acting and felt like they are a very cohersive story, dispit it taking place over a good few years and have a lot of movie parts. But ya, I feel annyed and angry that so about what some of the people did and never face any repercussions to what happened. But overall, heavy but interesting movie (7/10)
In the Heights (2021) Dir. Jon M. Chu
I really like this movie. I remember when it came out, i was so hyped, i just kept watching the first song over and over again. And i still think it is such a good movie, i love most of the song, esaliy abula song. Everything about that whole song was amazing and started crying during it. It just one of those movies that i forget about, but I love rewatching. (8/10)
Tumblr media
Barbie (2023) Dir. Greta Gerwig
I really loved this movie. I saw it twice. It just a movie that i found so fun. Like everyone, i love the costume and the sets and just everything thing about the movie. I love the massage behind it, but at the same time, i feel like there is so much more it could say. It's a movie that i feel like i make me want to read more into feminism movement to see why some poeple dislike the movie (not for the stupit reasons, but the valid ones) with what it has to say about gender. Overall, I would say I really like it, and it probably gonna be a movie. I come back to watch over and over again, and my opinion will probably change the move I watch it (7/10)
Books
Tumblr media
Biography Of X by Catherine Lacey
I ughh I really like this book. It was just so interesting to read about this fictionalised artist and this alternative version of history. It felt like it could be something that was real, and I think that due to how the well the auther blend and changed history in small or massive ways. It just so good, I love all the character who apper, the obsession of it, the explore of love and unhealthy relationships. God damnit I could write so much about this book, but then ill be spoiling it 4/5
Songs I love

The Weeknd: The Highlights
I kinda grew up listening to The Weeknd. I was in collage when the first hit I can remember “Starboy” was released. It was a smash hit, now some years later you can hear that song as well as his other hits on The Weeknd’s Highlights album. It really is hit after hit. Great music form The Weeknd’s platinum catalog. His music is truly riveting. With The Weeknd’s deep, romantic sound you won’t know…

Renaissance the revolution
Welcome to the Renaissance
In a world where systems often refuse to acknowledge black musicians only a handful are given the title of genius. Beyonce Giselle Knowles Carter is a cross cultural and intergenerational icon that has rightfully been bestowed the title of musical genius. She is a once in a lifetime pop megastar that has given us multiple projects that keep us listening and also shift culture in a momentous way. With her 7th studio album, the masterpiece “Renaissance” Beyonce delivered a juggernaut record that through sheer musical excellence carves out a judgement free dancefloor. Through various genres pulled from around the globe Beyonce establishes a maximalist tour de force of a record that does more than just make you move. Renaissance isn’t just a group of songs, it is a statement on the power of choice and reinvention. It is a beautiful homage to communities that have learned to dance through hard times, to sing through painful experiences and find joy in music.
The music industry has become what many feared years ago. A predictable game of algorithms and uncontrolled capitalistic greed. So when the pandemic hit and the manufactured sadness of soft spoken balladeers like Billie Eilish became what they always were hollow boring nothingness, the industry responded. Dance music came roaring back to life with albums like “chromatica” and “future nostalgia.” House, however, would be where Beyonce and another major musician would be looking at as their next musical mountain to climb. Drake dropped “Honestly Never mind” , a rushed slop of half thought out songs that take inspiration from the Chicago born genre, and to say the world took notice would be an understatement.  As the internet hopped through endless amounts of aimless discourse Beyonce dropped break my soul. A shimmering dance track, break my soul tore through the dullness of the decade and with both hands on the neck of the genre pulled house back to it’s black, gay roots.
On renaissance the Houston Luminary is at her fiercest. She’s sleek, cool, dominant and so cutting edge that with one full length Ep she makes every other release seem redundant. The beginning trilogy of songs usher us into a maximalist, futuristic, progressive soundscape where all are welcome, and the darkness of ignorance is discarded as easily as trash is. From the glitchy and braggadocios “I’m that girl” where Beyonce proclaims her status as a queen. To the confident and ferocious cozy, bey has come out of the gate swinging. Alien superstar the standout on the album doesn’t walk, it struts, it doesn’t just shine , it radiates. A pulsating pop record reminiscent of hit records like “bad romance” and her own “diva” the popstar states lines that we should all internalize. “ I’m one of one, I’m number one, I’m the only one. Don't even waste your time trying to compete with me (don't do it ) No one else in this world can think like me (true)” On this track she’s a diva through and through, Miss Knowles means every word and by the time we arrived at energy we see that she’s showing no signs of slowing down.
The next records take us on a multi genre/ country trip where we realize that the renaissance isn’t limited to just her country of birth. We travel to Nigeria with afro beats on the song energy, We take a trip to the dancehall clubs of Jamaica on move and we even got to the underground discotheque of Germany with the experimental all up in your mind. Beyonce is completely uninhabited and has little limitations on her with this album. Countries have no borders and genres crumble to nothing in her palms. With songs like Virgo’s groove and plastic off the sofa she proves that even time can’t hold her back. These songs serve to be the slow grooving wonderful throwback to the hey days of Diana Ross, Micheal Jackson, Donna Summer and other powerful sensual, groundbreaking, powerful diva’s of the 70’s.  But with multiple trips through time and space what do I think Beyonce is trying to say with her newest studio effort.
As proven with the last wave of dance, we as modern consumers only like to move when times are hard. When life has put so much pressure on our backs we have no choice but to let go of our worries and pick up the one thing that connects us all, love and reinvention through music. Beyonce has shown the ability to reinvent herself multiple times over the decades, effortlessly maneuvering through different sides of who she is to let us know that she isn’t just a one trick pony. However, have we ever considered how much capacity we have to change? How much power we have to look inward and decide to become something more than what we currently are. The Renaissance isn’t just dance, it’s freedom. The freedom to be who we want to be and the freedom to change that perception of ourselves at the drop of a hat. Beyonce tells us that we have multiple versions of our inner being and restricting one side or sticking to only a single aspect of who we are can lead to us killing that adventurer inside our souls. With this record she shows us that even through the harsh political climate and almost world ending antics we can find joy and not just find it but use that joy as a revolutionary tool. As the world has decided to oppress us and others, to use the tools of victimization to crush our individuality. That spark that makes us humans, renaissance reminds us that joy is resistance. It reminds us that we can shed our skin and become better, to become the future. Renaissance paints a time in which our joy and ability to evolve is resistance. Our ability to decide who we are when we want to will always be more than any algorithm can serve us. Our love is superhuman, and as we listen and dissect and maybe even internalize. Let us never forget this fact and let us appreciate Beyonce for bringing us this message. Joy is resistance, reinvention feeds the soul and The renaissance is the future.
“Bend your soul to intuition. Renaissance the revolution. Pick me up even if I fall let love heal us all”
-Beyonce, My House.

‘MOONMAN TAKES FLIGHT’
HOLLYWOOD ROCK STAR BANNED FROM MTV VMAS AFTER INCIDENT.
If you know anyone under the age of 25 then you will have heard of the band Dream Theory, who made waves in the pop-rock scene with their debut EP 'RECURRING DAYDREAM' released late last year. The band, comprised of frontman Wilbur Soot on vocals, accompanied by guitarist Tyler Parks, bassist Chris Matthews and drummer Evan Thompson, has been nominated for several big awards despite its short lifespan, including Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards in February.
Their success was placed under jeopardy last night at MTV's Video Music Awards, of which the band one award: Song of The Year for their song ‘MALADAPTIVE,' which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts. Cameras at the event last night captured frontman Wilbur Soot throwing the award at the head of bassist Chris Matthews.
Witnesses reported hearing the two arguing loudly in the bathroom after the ceremony with several theories rising that the altercation was over Soot's longtime girlfriend Maria Evans, who was seen entering the after-party with Matthews. No charges were pressed, but a statement from MTV confirmed that Soot has been banned from the event next year and has had his Grammy nomination rescinded, meaning in the event that Dream Theory takes home an award at the ceremony it will not be shared with Soot.
Maria Evans, when asked on Twitter said that 'Will and Chris have been having issues recently, this wasn't honestly that surprising.' A spokesperson for the band has said they will be reveiwing the incident, leaving Soot's place within the band under fire.

My Quirky Taste in Music: Dust - Screaming Trees
Tumblr media
Year Released: 1996
Country: United States
It has been almost year since the death singer/songwriter Mark Lanegan, my favorite singer. Over the next month I will be posting a series of reviews of albums that had stuck with me through the years, starting with my favorite album of all time.
Considered one of the godfathers of the grunge scene in Seattle, Screaming Trees learned on the job. Their early records lack focus and nuance and singer Mark Lanegan often mistook volume for power. It wasn’t until 1992’s Sweet Oblivion (their sixth album) that everything began to coalesce. Bassist Van Conner admitted it was the first album where they actually did the equivalent of second drafts and Sweet Oblivion proved to be the band’s breakout success.
Unfortunately, tensions within the band erupted to derail its momentum. Multiple members were dealing with substance abuse problems, they often settled disputes with their fits, and like many of their Seattle compatriots, they weren’t equipped to deal well with fame. Fours years went by before they were able to release their follow up.
Dust is a break from Screaming Trees’ previous oeuvre in that the music is tinged with folk as opposed to psychedelic rock. Lanegan had had success with this in his solo work (Whiskey for the Holy Ghost, chiefly) and it fit well with the band’s pet subject matter of death, loss, and the search for grace. Lanegan by this time had grown into his voice. Always bluesy and soulful, by this time he’d learned that he didn’t need to loud to make an impact. He could stay low in his register and envelope a listener in a world of his own making.
Several songs on Dust highlight this alchemy beautifully. “Witness” asks God for grace while dealing with loss. “Sworn and Broken” convincingly compares winter to loss chances. “Gospel Plow” mixes acknowledgement that death is always near with an impassioned plea for a lover to validate the singer’s feelings. But the best songs capture beautifully the longing for the small moments of one’s life.
“Make My Mind” starts with an image as lovely as it is ephemeral: “Take a minute just to breathe/Take a minute and I’m wide awake/I’m searching once again/The sun has left the sky/And you’re on my mind”. From there Lanegan sings with surprising tenderness as he broods the loss of a great love. “Dying Days” is a requiem for the band’s home city of Seattle, utilizing a three part harmony during its thunderous chorus. When the song reaches its climax, Lanegan bellows with formidable force, “I’m waiting for the sunshine” and you feel the weight of his grief.
This is my favorite album. Its introspectiveness, complexity, and maturity all speak to me. It was my gateway into Lanegan’s work and in many respects still stands as the ultimate showcase of his power.

Alright.
I h a v e to know what Padak is about XD
Oh... Oh you sweet summer child, you don't know?
Well I'm glad I can tell you instead of you like, stumbling on this movie and having all of it jump out at you XD
Ok ok, I genuinely love this film and I'll admit, I really want to take a moment to geek out about it. But that would involve in me getting into spoiler territory. So, in case you decide to look for this film yourself, I'll just give you the generalized story here.
The movie is about a lone mackerel, later in the film named Padak for trying to 'padak padak her way to her death' (she jumped out of the tank and was flip flopping on the ground. I'm guessing Padak is Korean for Flip-Flop? It's a good thing this film wasn't Australian, or else she'd be named Thong. I'm sorry) is fished out of the sea and dropped into a tank at a local restaurant, and has to escape back to home, all while trying to convince her new tank-mates to escape with her. Simple plot, right? Well... Here's a quote from the YouTube review that introduced me to Padak that pretty much sums up the whole movie perfectly.
"Imagine if you took the fish tank setting from Finding Nemo and mixed it with the graphic violence from Watership Down, drizzled it in the depressing tone of Plague Dogs, and gave it a garnish of that sushi scene from The Isle of Dogs. That's basically this film on a plate."
Steve Reveiws, Padak
Now, why is the sushi scene prevalent? Because this film takes place in a Korean restaurant where their food is as fresh as possible. Meaning that the fish are prepared and even eaten while still alive. And this film pulls zero punches in showing the horrors of this kind of delicacy (no, I'm serious. A fish is literally cut up and dissected on screen. This movie takes off the kid gloves and throws them in the God damn incinerator). So yeah, there are a lot of images in this film that will be upsetting to veiwers. But this film isn't gorey just for the sake of gore. It tells a genuinely very sad story and will wring out emotions from your heart, and can also be breathtaking with its musical and 2D animated segments.
I'd recommend checking out this reveiw before trying to find the film, though. Even if watching a reveiw is not at all like watching the movie, this guy does censor some of the more extreme gore (like the scene I mentioned above). He doesn't censor all of it, but I think this video is still the best introduction to this movie.
However, if you want to check out the movie, I could only find it on this website https://online.potlockermovies.com/full-movie/padak/ it's free, and it does have English subtitles (the movie doesn't have an English dub), but there are a lot if pop up adds and it's probably going to get frustrating clicking off of them, but this site was still the best I could find to watch Padak.
It's interesting to note that this film does not go in the direction you might expect it to. If it weren't for the fact that I had watched the video above before the movie itself, I would have been just as shocked with how it ended and what happened to our characters as Steve was. But at the same time, the film does establish right away that it's going for more... For lack of a better term, realistic approach. So although the film goes in an unexpected direction, it's also hard to say that it cheated you out of your time to view it.
Again, to try to keep this as spoiler free as possible, I'm only going to sum up the third act in lyrics from the last song of the movie that speaks mountains once you realize it.
Destiny tricks us like fools.
He also gives off a kind of viscious cunning vibe in the movie? Like he's the second in command character that's a bit of a bastard. I think you might like him if you watch this movie. And the old Flatfish who is 'The Master' of the tank.
Oh yeah also, there's this eel (who I think is named Anago? Or Jooldom? His name is never mentioned in the film, however the video above calls him Jooldom, and I've seen people on this site argue his name is meant to be Anago. There isn't much information for this movie online, unfortunately.) who everyone wants to become the next tumblr sexyman. All because of his voice. To be fair, it is a nice voice.

THE GOOD WITCH - MAISIE PETERS ALBUM REVEIW
23.06.2023 • Pop/Alternative • 15 songs • 47 minutes • 2023 Gingerbread man records, Warner Music Group
★★★★☆
FAV SINGLE: Run
TOP 3: Coming Of Age • Wendy • Watch
Tumblr media
Maisie Peters is a British singer-songwriter, based in London & originally from West Sussex. Peters emerged into the music industry in 2017, signing to Atlantic Records shortly after, Under which, she released two EPs & other singles as well as writing the soundtrack to the Apple TV+ series ‘Trying’. In 2021, Maisie signed to Gingerbread Man Records, releasing her debut album that same year & now, releasing her sophomore album ‘The Good Witch’.
Something I love about this album is that she doesn’t shy away from production. A lot of emerging pop artists tend to go for an acoustic sound now, recording songs at home in their bedroom or closet with just a laptop & a mic and sending them off for mixing. Whilst Maisie has some of that sound in her songs, they still have complex elements of production & her upbeat pop songs reign above with the layering of all kinds of instruments: drums, synths, vocals, the list goes on. She perfectly combines the two sides of pop music into her discography whilst remaining a lyrical genius. She’s also broken the mould of female pop artists having to re-invent themselves with every album cycle & finding a new sound. In reality, there’s nothing wrong with continuing to produce music of a certain sound, especially if it works for the artist. In my mind, ‘The Good Witch’ is a more mature older sister to Maisie’s debut album ’You signed up for this’.
‘Wendy’ is without a doubt one of the most lyrically beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. The album’s 9th track, written around the concept of Peter & Wendy, is a song about knowing your own worth & choosing the right path (even if it’s not what the heart wants) to avoid becoming invisible & regretting life later on. It shows that wanting to see the best in others isn't always good because you become blind to the truth as it becomes an unreachable reality. Even if you know it’s right, things can still feel wrong in the moment & you have to make the sacrifices that are best for you. In a heartbreaking way, the song is an uplifting ballad about taking control of your own life & not waiting around on people who might not even  be there in the end.
The week after the album was released, on the 30th June 2023, ‘The Good Witch’ debuted at number 1 on the UK’s official album charts which gave Maisie her first ever number one album. Additionally, at 23, Maisie became the youngest British female solo artist to do so in almost 10 years, the record was previously held by Ella Henderson who achieved number 1 with her LP ‘Chapter One’ in 2014 at 18 years old. Maisie’s first album, ’You signed up for this’, peaked at number 2 on the official album chart when it was released in 2021.
Alone, Maisie has built up a large fanbase, having been dubbed one of Taylor Swift’s industry children & thus, attracting hordes of British swifties, but she has also done so through her relationship with Ed Sheeran. Sheeran signed Maisie to his record label 'Gingerbread Man Records’ in 2021 after she burst into the music industry & the two have a very close & public mentor/mentee relationship. A key part of building her fanbase has come from opening for Sheeran’s ‘Mathematics Tour’ for almost all of the UK/EU dates, all Oceania dates & a few of the American dates. As an incentive for ‘The Good Witch’ to reach number 1, Ed claimed over social media that he’d release a fan-favourite demo of hers if the album did so. And true to his word, Ed leaked ‘Girl’s House’ the evening the album charted via a link on his instagram story & fans went mental.
Overall, I think that I personally prefer Maisie’s first album (as a body of work) but this is subject to change as time goes on of course. She is, without a doubt, one of the next big pop girls on the scene & her neverending talent just solidifies her position in the music industry.

thinkingggggg about cyberpunk/Android Therion AU roles everyone has
I'm gonna go ahead and say now that everyone's aged up a little to make everything line up a bit more. Not by much, like 3-5 years max.
Ophilia- A Bishop with the Church of the Sacred Flame. As the church is a dual religious and medical institution, this essentially means that she's a religious figurehead with the responsibilities of a hospital director. Not enough of a public figure that everyone recognizes her, but enough that she's been on the news several times, usually giving interviews about the policies the church holds or current events. She's generally well-respected and makes a habit of stamping out corruption at its source when she finds it. That doesn't mean the church is free of corruption, mind you, just that she takes action where she can. Her storyline probably revolves around a church controversy coverup that goes deeper than anything she's ever tackled before, and pulls the others into its snare. Unsure if the OT2 people are here too but if they are, she's on good terms with Temenos.
Cyrus- A professor of antiquities and arcane sciences at Atlasdam University, moonlights as a synth musician. He has a nice comfy position with tenure, and a nice apartment that he's never in because he basically lives in his office. He has several published books on his areas of expertise (the consensus on those is that they're very accurate, if verbose) and is a frequent contributor and peer reveiwer to basically every journal of antiquities, classics, archaeology, and arcane science he can find. The man has no free time and that is by his own choice, at least until there's an explosion in the arcane sciences building that's pinned on him, despite having an alibi in the university library. If Osvald is there he's a fellow arcane science professor (also math/physics) who helps Cyrus lay low/escape.
Tressa- An entrepreneur and small-business owner. She sees things through the lens of business opportunities and profit, and had a very strong sense of customer service instilled in her at a young age. She has personal beef with Ravus Industries, the company having essentially performed a hostile takeover of her parents' business. They say that they're enjoying their retirement, they're okay with the changes Ravus has made to the business, but Tressa knows that they're just putting on brave faces about it. She's been dealing with shareholders and investors since she was practically a baby and knows how those boards and c-suite lunkheads operate, and she's ready and raring to take her issues all the way to the top.
Olberic- A war veteran who's just trying to live in peace. He enlisted straight out of high school, having fallen victim to the propaganda and not having much other option financially. He's been through multiple tours of duty, been a high-ranking marine (or the equivalent), and all he has to show for it is PTSD and some old camo fatigues. His lover Erhardt was pronounced MIA (though the body was never found) and he finds it difficult to open up to anyone else, knowing that the horrors of war are just...not something you can really drop on a civilian. Ravus is moving in to the tiny pastoral village he settled down in with militia propaganda, and that's something he just won't stand. Unsure about his story beyond this. On god we are going to get Olberic some therapy
Primrose- A singer-songwriter with a background in choreography, using the fact that she's 'on tour' to cover for her investigation. She's not big enough to host shows in massive venues, but she's known and liked enough that her performances pretty consistently sell out. She's an industry plant, sure, but it's very hard to argue that her music lacks the authenticity as so many others do. The Azelhart conglomerate was a longtime competitor to Ravus, until the entire board of investors and c-suite were found dead after a company event. Primrose has very few leads to go off of, but is patching things up with her adoptive sister Odette after their falling out so they can pursue the truth together.
Alfyn- An engineer specializing in android healthcare, but frequently takes jobs with more conventional electronics (like server farms) to keep the lights on. He studied medicine for a time, and was even an EMT for several years, but ended up burning out due to a combination of stress, compassion fatigue, horrific hours, and generally being fed up with medicine as an industry. As a further 'fuck you' to the industry, he's technically authorized by most major android manufacturers, but uses as few OEM parts as possible. He sees his current occupation as a sort of happy medium between his desired profession and his family trade (mechanics). Driving home from a job in Bolderfall one day, he finds an unusual android in a cave that's been emitting a POST code via radio. He brings the android home and repairs them (at no charge, ofc), but in doing so, unwittingly finds himself at the center of a manhunt by Ravus Industries to retrieve their precious asset.
Therion- An android designed for theft and espionage by Ravus Industries. A top-secret model made with cutting-edge tech and the ability to perform magic and arcane formulae. Did more or less what he was told for most of his life, and was attended to by scientists who treated them well. Unfortunately, the people at the top didn't, and he was decommissioned after refusing to carry out assassinations. This didn't last long, as he was 'stolen' by a thief who broke into the facility to make off with as many valuable items as they could- Darius. Therion got his help in removing his remote location and control parts and fled with him. They spent several years as partners in crime and partners more generally until Therion started refusing things again. For that, and a hefty sum from a competitor of Ravus, Darius tore his maintainence panel open, shut him off, and shoved him off a cliff into the ravine. The next thing he knew, he was immobilized on a repair table in a backwater repair shop and some scruffy engineer's hands in his 'guts'. And now Ravus is doing their damnedst to get him back, even if all he wants to do is live his life.
H'aanit- An off-the-grid homesteader who lives deep in the Woodlands. Aside from a handful of other homesteaders in the area, the closest town is a several hour drive away. And she likes it that way. In her mind, technology is nothing but a burden, and urban sprawl and technological advancement have taken a lot from her. She practices her huntsmanship and the ancient art of monster taming regularly, her teacher Z'aanta having shown her how to use a shotgun the day she was big enough to pick it up. The S'warkii tribe is on its last legs, and she is one of the few surviving members, so many other members of her clan either killed long ago in struggles against colonialism or with heritage so diluted that calling them S'warkii would be disingenuous. Not totally sure what her plot would be, maybe learning there's a chance her parents are alive. But it's VERY important that you know she's butch and also Linde is still there.

Across the Spider-verse (2023) Dir. Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson
What can i even say about this movie. It one i haven't stopped thinking about for the last few days. Everything in the movie is amazing, from the visual to the story to how it portrays the characters. And the charater design!!!!! Literally, the whole reason i saw the movie!!!! And that one chase scene!!!! The whole part was just an amazing and deffo my favourite part. From beginning to end, i was wrapped up in the story the movie is trying to tell. It is probably one of the best movies I've seen all year. (10/10)
Erin Brockovich (2000) Dir. Steven Soderbergh
I like this. I thought Julie Andrews was really good as Erin. It was good (7/10)
Misha and the wolves (2021)
It grand. I thought the story was really interesting but like noting amazeing. I kinda forgot i watched it lol so (5/10)
Do Revenge (2022) Dir. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson
I love this movie. This is probaye the 3rd time i rewated it. I love Just everything about it, especially the fashion, like it just say so much about the character abd everthing(9/10)
The Big Short (2015) Dir. Adam McKay
I thought this was good. I like the editing a lot. I feel like it makes the story more interesting, I guess. With the story being about something as over complex and honesty, bordering banking, the fast-paced editing really sucks you into the story. That, as well as the acting, just makes it really good (8/10)
White chicks (2004) Kennen Ivory Wayans
Funny as shit my god

The Convalescent By Jessica Anthony
This is such a strange book. To both read and think about. It surreal to read, and can confusing to think about (im still not 100% sure about what this book is tryin to say) since so many events in the book reads like folk-lore, which i do really like. This addtions to almost folk-lore like storys telling make the events toward the end of the book (were it really goes off the rails) feel like a natrual progression and one you could maybe even see coming. The to what isn't a terrble complated novel story wise. But it levase enough there to make you want to read on and see where the fuck there going at points. It can be confusing as hell, but i like that, how it not complety clear on what it trying to say. 7/10
Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me By Mariko Tamaki and illustrated by Rosemary Valero-O'Connell
I got this book ages ago and deicded to reread it and god I love this book. The story is good, and if i were to just read it as a novel i proabyeb think it was grand, but god the art. The art of the book adds so much. I think it evaleds the story to the point of being amazing. I love small used of colour and the way the charater are draw just adds to there charaterisaton alot. (8/10)

The guy she was interested in wasn't a guy at all By Arai Sumiko
Like every lesbian, i love this. It so cute to read about this two nerds bonding. I need them to kiss. Also i love how the artist draws charater, esalily there outfits. For the main girls, it feel like there chose in fashion says a lot alot them and why they like what they like (8/10)
