How Do These Ingredients Help With Hormone Balancing?
Crafted with the essence of 7 mushroom powders, chaga, coconut milk powder, cacao, cordyceps, and stevia, this elixir stands as a testament to the fusion of nature's goodness. The chaga and cordyceps bring their prowess in immune support and potential energy elevation, while coconut milk and cacao add a creamy richness and depth of flavor. Stevia, the natural sweetener, not only enhances the taste but does so without the drawbacks of added sugars. Each sip is an invitation to savor the benefits of mushroom coffee, a concoction that goes beyond the ordinary, nourishing your well-being with every drop.
Medicinal mushrooms found in the 7 mushroom powders are recognized for their health potential, including hormonal balance. Chaga, known for its adaptogenic properties, indirectly supports sex hormone balance by aiding the body in adapting to stressors. Reishi, an adaptogen, has been studied for its ability to modulate the immune system and influence sex hormone balance.
Cordyceps and Maitake are mushrooms associated with cardiovascular health, with Cordyceps aiding in improving blood circulation and Maitake contributing to heart health by regulating blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Lion's Mane is considered in the context of blood sugar regulation, influencing insulin sensitivity. Its main claim to fame is its ability to improve brain function.
In terms of adrenal hormones, Reishi and Cordyceps are recognized for their adaptogenic properties, which support the body's response to stress.
Chaga Mushroom and Its Health Impacts
Immune Boosting
Chaga is rich in beta-glucans, promoting immune system modulation and enhancing defense mechanisms against infections. This makes it a potent ally in supporting the body's ability to ward off illnesses.
Antioxidant-rich
Chaga contains antioxidants, including polyphenols and triterpenes. These compounds act as guardians against oxidative stress, a factor linked to disruptions in hormonal balance. By neutralizing free radicals, Chaga fosters an environment conducive to harmonious hormonal function.
Blood Sugar Balancing
Central to Chaga's prowess is its impact on blood sugar regulation. Through mechanisms not yet fully understood, Chaga has been observed to contribute to a balanced glucose metabolism. This is crucial for hormonal stability, as fluctuations in glucose levels can trigger cascading effects on various hormones.
Cardiovascular Benefits
Chaga's influence extends to the cardiovascular system, where it plays a role in maintaining heart health. Research suggests that Chaga contributes to cardiovascular health by lowering blood pressure and improving circulation. This not only supports cardiac health directly but also indirectly influences hormones associated with the cardiovascular system.
Adaptogenic
As an adaptogen, Chaga possesses the remarkable ability to adapt its actions based on the body's specific needs. In the context of hormonal balance, this adaptogenic quality means that Chaga may assist in modulating hormone levels according to the body's requirements, promoting an adaptive and resilient endocrine system.
Coconut Milk and Its Health Impacts
Blood Sugar Balancing
Coconut milk boasts medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), a type of saturated fat with distinctive properties. Unlike long-chain fatty acids, MCTs are rapidly absorbed and metabolized, serving as a quick energy source. This swift energy helps in managing blood sugar levels, preventing erratic spikes and crashes that can disrupt hormonal equilibrium.
Hormone Balancing
Coconut milk contains essential nutrients that serve as precursors of hormone production. For instance, the saturated fats in coconut milk play a role in the synthesis of hormones, including those involved in maintaining reproductive health. These building blocks are vital for the intricate web of hormonal interactions.
Nutrient Dense
Beyond MCTs, coconut milk is nutrient-rich. From vitamins like C and E to minerals such as magnesium and potassium, this combination of nutrients supports overall health. In the context of hormones, these elements act as cofactors and facilitators in various hormonal processes.
Cacao and Its Health Impacts
Protective
Cacao is rich in polyphenols, particularly flavonoids. These antioxidants aid in combating oxidative stress. In the context of hormones, this is crucial. Oxidative stress can disrupt hormonal signaling, and cacao acts as a guardian against this imbalance.
Elevating Neurotransmitters
Cacao contains anandamide, aptly named after Ananda, the Sanskrit word for bliss. Anandamide is a neurotransmitter that induces a sense of joy and bliss. In the intricate network of hormones, a positive mood supported by neurotransmitters can contribute to hormonal equilibrium.
Indulging in cacao can trigger the release of endorphins, the body's natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins play a role in stress reduction, fostering an environment conducive to hormonal balance.
Blood Sugar Balancing
Cacao's flavonoids extend to blood sugar regulation. Studies suggest that these compounds may enhance insulin sensitivity, promoting efficient glucose metabolism. This is particularly beneficial in preventing the dramatic spikes and plunges that can disturb hormonal balance.
Heart Protective
The flavanols present in cacao are known to enhance vascular function and may contribute to the regulation of blood pressure. These compounds support overall cardiovascular health, making cacao a heart-friendly ingredient in the context of hormone balancing and blood sugar regulation.
Mineral-rich with Hormone Precursors
Abundant in magnesium, cacao supports muscle and nerve function, blood glucose regulation, and bone health. The presence of iron aids in oxygen transport, potassium contributes to proper heart and muscle contraction, and calcium ensures optimal bone health. Additionally, phosphorus plays a role in bone and tooth formation, while zinc supports immune function and wound healing. The inclusion of copper aids in iron absorption and red blood cell formation, and manganese serves as a cofactor for enzymes involved in bone formation and reducing inflammation.

Superoxide dismutase, in particular, is known for its ability to convert superoxide radicals into less harmful forms, protecting cells from oxidative damage. The presence of these antioxidants in Cordyceps contributes to its overall health-promoting effects and its potential to fortify the body's defense mechanisms against oxidative stress.
Tumblr media
Stevia and Its Health Impacts
Blood Sugar Balancing
Stevia's sweet components, steviol glycosides, may contribute to insulin sensitivity. In the intricate regulation of blood sugar, Stevia ensures a balanced response, facilitating insulin's precise role and promoting hormonal equilibrium.
Stevia, with its natural sweetness and minimal caloric impact, takes a lead role in glucose metabolism. By providing sweetness without the glycemic load of sugar, stevia allows for regulated glucose dynamics without disrupting blood sugar levels.
Cardiovascular Support
Research suggests the potential cardiovascular benefits of stevia. In this context, Stevia may contribute to maintaining healthy blood pressure, integrating seamlessly into the cardiovascular aspects of hormonal balance.
Hormonal Influence
Stevia's impact on hormones extends beyond sweetness. Through delicate interactions with taste receptors, it may signal satiety, potentially assisting in weight management—a factor intricately linked with hormonal balance.
Anti-Inflammatory Properties
Stevia is rich in polyphenols, which are a type of antioxidant. Polyphenols are plant compounds known for their potential health benefits, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Specifically, stevia contains various polyphenols, such as flavonoids and tannins, which contribute to its antioxidative effects. These antioxidants play a role in protecting the body's cells from oxidative stress and inflammation.

Are These Coffee Alternatives Worth The Hype?
From the Brain-Boosting Effects of Guarana to the Calming Properties of Matcha, These Drinks Offer Both an Energy Lift and Enhanced Mental Focus.
— By Jocelyn Solis-Moreira | August 29, 2024
For many, the day doesn’t begin without that first sip of coffee—a ritual so ingrained it’s almost synonymous with morning itself. But as interest in health and wellness grows, caffeine alternatives offering a different pick-me-up are gaining traction. From the ancient ritual of matcha to the probiotic benefits of kombucha, a range of options promises to energize your morning without the usual coffee jitters. Here’s what you need to know.
Mushroom Coffee ☕
Mushroom coffee is emerging as an energy-boosting alternative to your regular cup of joe, says Jessica Gavin, a food scientist and author of Easy Culinary Science for Better Cooking.
This morning blend combines ground coffee beans with adaptogenic mushrooms like chaga, reishi, lion’s mane, and cordyceps. Unlike their psychedelic counterparts, these mushrooms won’t alter your mind, but they can help the body adapt to stress, improve immune function, and maintain steady focus, says Gavin. Adding mushrooms to your beverage also provides antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals such as potassium, selenium, and B vitamins.
According to Gavin, most mushroom coffee products use less caffeine—about 48 to 50 milligrams—compared to an eight-ounce cup of coffee which contains 80 to 100 milligrams of caffeine.
“Because mushroom coffee does not have the same taxing load on your central nervous system, one could reasonably assume it’s a better alternative than a cup of coffee or green tea,” says Yaa Boakye, a registered dietitian nutritionist and owner of Elite Body Data.
However, mushrooms like chaga can contain high levels of oxalates, which may increase the risk of kidney stones if consumed in excess.
Matcha Green Tea đŸ”
Matcha, a potent form of green tea, delivers more than just a caffeine kick. With around 70 milligrams of caffeine per serving—more than the 50 milligrams in black tea—this herbal brew offers sustained energy without the jitters. According to Gavin, matcha’s unique combination of caffeine and antioxidants boosts brain energy while promoting relaxation, thanks to the amino acid L-theanine, which is known to reduce stress and protect against neuronal injury.
Yerba Mate 🧉
Containing roughly as much caffeine as coffee, South America’s super brew, yerba mate, packs more antioxidants than any other tea-based drink. Made from the leaves of holly trees native to the region, yerba mate offers a steady caffeine release, providing sustained energy without the jitters. According to Boakye, this tea is also rich in polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals not typically found in traditional caffeinated beverages.
Research shows that yerba mate can boost mental alertness and enhance physical performance. Additional benefits include antimicrobial properties, support for weight loss, and the potential to lower blood sugar, reduce cholesterol, and combat chronic inflammation.
Yaupon Tea đŸ«–
Yaupon tea, brewed from the leaves of the yaupon holly—the only caffeinated plant native to the United States—offers a mild yet energizing boost. Bryan Quoc Le, a food scientist and author of 150 Food Science Questions Answered, says that yaupon tea contains 0.1 to 2 percent caffeine, less than coffee’s 1 to 3 percent. However, it’s not just about caffeine; yaupon tea is rich in xanthines, including theobromine, which enhances mood and alertness without the jitters.
Kombucha 🧋
Kombucha, a fermented tea, is celebrated for its gut health benefits and mild stimulant effects. According to Le, kombucha retains some of the tea’s bioactive compounds, including 3 to 6 percent caffeine, depending on how it’s brewed. But the real star is its probiotics—beneficial microorganisms that nourish the gut’s “good” bacteria. A healthy gut microbiome is linked to improved cognitive functions like attention, memory, and learning. Additionally, kombucha is rich in B vitamins, which Boakye says help the body metabolize nutrients into cellular fuel.
Guarana ☕
Guarana stands out for its impressive caffeine content, with berries containing 2 to 8 percent caffeine—far exceeding the 1 to 3 percent in coffee beans. In addition to caffeine, guarana is rich in stimulating compounds like theophylline and theobromine, which, according to Gavin, boost cognitive performance, reduce fatigue, and increase alertness. It also boasts antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Often found in energy drinks with doses ranging from 50 to 75 milligrams, guarana can also be added as a powder to smoothies or other beverages. However, Boakye cautions against excessive consumption to avoid caffeine crashes and jitteriness, noting that the FDA recommends a daily limit of 400 milligrams of caffeine.
“If someone is about to sit and do some office work, [guarana] is probably not a good idea,” says Boakye. “But if you’re about to go and do a workout or an intense boot camp, [it] might be helpful since it provides that quick burst of energy.”
Turmeric LattesđŸ„€
For a caffeine-free morning boost, turmeric lattes, known as golden milk, deliver powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Made with turmeric and curcumin, this golden drink can be enhanced with a touch of coconut oil and black pepper, which improve curcumin absorption, says Gavin. Ginger, another key ingredient, aids digestion and adds a spicy kick.
“I prefer it in the morning because the combination of ingredients has a way of stimulating you,” says Gavin. She says the sensation of the gingery spices, pepper, and warm cinnamon on your tongue helps wake up the senses differently than caffeine.

Tumblr media
The Rise of Mushroom Coffee
Mushroom coffee is quickly becoming a popular choice among health-conscious consumers. Unlike traditional coffee, which is purely derived from coffee beans, mushroom coffee blends coffee with powdered medicinal mushrooms such as lion’s mane, chaga, and reishi. These mushrooms have been used for centuries in various cultures for their potential health benefits, which range from boosting cognitive function to supporting the immune system.
One of the key reasons people are turning to mushroom coffee is its lower caffeine content compared to regular coffee. While it still provides the energy boost that coffee drinkers crave, the addition of mushrooms helps to smooth out the effects, leading to a more balanced and sustained energy release. This makes it an excellent coffee alternative for those who are sensitive to caffeine or looking to reduce their intake without sacrificing their morning ritual.
Superfoods in Your Cup
What sets mushroom coffee apart from other coffee alternatives is its inclusion of superfoods. The mushrooms used in these blends are considered superfoods due to their rich nutrient profiles and potential health benefits. For example, lion’s mane is known for its ability to enhance brain function and memory, making it an ideal choice for those looking to boost mental clarity. Chaga, another common ingredient, is prized for its antioxidant properties, which can help protect the body from oxidative stress.
Incorporating superfoods into your daily routine through mushroom coffee not only supports overall health but also introduces a new and exciting flavor profile to your morning cup. The earthy, slightly nutty taste of mushrooms complements the boldness of coffee, creating a unique and satisfying beverage.
The Perfect Coffee Alternative
For those exploring coffee alternatives, mushroom coffee offers a compelling option. It provides the familiar comfort of coffee with added health benefits, thanks to its superfood ingredients. Whether you’re looking to cut back on caffeine, boost your immune system, or simply try something new, mushroom coffee is a versatile and nourishing choice.
In conclusion, mushroom coffee is more than just a trend—it’s a holistic approach to starting your day with both energy and nutrition. As a coffee alternative, it stands out by offering the best of both worlds: the rich taste of coffee and the wellness benefits of superfoods. If you’re ready to switch up your morning routine, this innovative beverage might just be the perfect addition to your daily life.

Mushroom Coffee Revolution: Blending Tradition with Wellness
Mushroom coffee, an innovative blend of traditional coffee and medicinal mushrooms, has been gaining popularity for its unique combination of flavor and health benefits. Here’s an exploration of the different aspects of mushroom coffee, including popular brands like Wunderground, Sun Alchemy, Rasa, and others.
Introduction to Mushroom Coffee
Mushroom coffee merges the rich, aromatic experience of traditional coffee with the health-enhancing properties of mushrooms like Lion’s Mane, Chaga, and Reishi. This innovative blend not only caters to the taste buds of coffee lovers but also taps into medicinal mushrooms, known for their potential to support cognitive function, immunity, and overall wellness. By offering an alternative to regular coffee, mushroom coffee aims to reduce common side effects like jitters and anxiety, often associated with high caffeine intake. It embodies a holistic approach to daily rituals, inviting consumers to enjoy their cherished coffee moments with an added layer of natural, health-supporting ingredients.
Health Benefits
Mushroom coffee not only offers cognitive and immune support but also potentially aids in stress reduction and energy regulation. This unique combination of health benefits stems from the adaptogenic properties of the mushrooms, which help the body manage stress more effectively. The synergy between the natural compounds in mushrooms and coffee creates a holistic beverage that supports both mental clarity and physical well-being.
Flavor Experience
The flavor profile of mushroom coffee is a testament to the innovation in modern food science. By balancing the earthiness of mushrooms with the robustness of coffee, these blends appeal to a wide range of palates. Caffeine Content
The moderated caffeine levels in mushroom coffee make it a perfect choice for those looking for a gentle pick-me-up without the overwhelming buzz. This reduced caffeine content also aligns well with a health-conscious lifestyle, providing just enough energy to stimulate without overstimulating the nervous system.
User Experiences and Preferences
If you’re curious about the different tastes of mushroom coffee, you should definitely take a look at my website. There, I’ve put together lots of reviews that talk about the different kinds of mushroom coffee flavors. You’ll read about how some taste sweet and chocolatey, while others have a more rich, nutty flavor. These reviews are really helpful, especially if you’re still figuring out which mushroom coffee you might like the best. Brewing and Consumption
Mushroom coffee is great because you can make it in different ways. Whether you like quick, single-serve packets or enjoy making it the old-fashioned way, there’s something for everyone. For example, if you’re always in a rush in the morning, a single-serve packet might be your go-to. But if you love the ritual of brewing coffee, you might prefer the traditional method. Plus, each brand gives you tips on how to brew their coffee just right, so you get the best taste and all the health perks. Brewing it the right way really makes your mushroom coffee experience special.
Packaging and Quality
Packaging for mushroom coffee is a big deal, kind of like making sure your favorite chips aren’t crushed when you open the bag. The better the packaging, the fresher the coffee stays. It’s like keeping your cookies in a sealed jar so they don’t go stale. Brands really listen to what people say about this and keep making their packaging better. This means your coffee won’t just taste good but also keep all its health goodies intact. Imagine opening a coffee bag and finding it as fresh as morning dew — that’s what good packaging does!
Cost and Value
Mushroom coffee tends to be more expensive than regular coffee, but many people see it as worth the extra bucks. It’s like choosing a high-end gym membership for its better equipment and classes — you’re paying for quality. Customers often view mushroom coffee as more than just a drink; it’s a health choice. They’re willing to spend a bit more for the blend of great taste and wellness perks it offers. For those who are really into keeping healthy, the price is just part of making sure they’re getting the good stuff — like paying a bit more for organic vegetables or that fancy spin class.
Environmental and Ethical Considerations
When it comes to mushroom coffee, how it’s made and where it comes from really matters. Many brands make sure to get their coffee and mushrooms in ways that are good for the planet and fair to the farmers. It’s like buying eggs from chickens that are well-cared for — you feel better about what you’re getting. This eco-friendly and fair approach means that when you drink this coffee, you’re not just looking after your health, but you’re also helping the earth and the people who grow the ingredients. For folks who care about doing right by the planet and others, this is a big reason to choose mushroom coffee.
Final Thoughts
Mushroom coffee is like a cool new twist on your regular cup of joe. It mixes old-school coffee with something new — mushrooms — to give you both great taste and a health boost. More and more people are trying it because it fits with wanting to be healthier and make good choices for the planet. It’s perfect for those who want to try something different in their coffee routine, whether they drink it every day or just now and then. Mushroom coffee isn’t just a drink; it’s about enjoying something familiar yet new, and feeling good about your choices. HOW I’VE BEEN SUCESSFULLY LOSING WEIGHT: Notes from a former binge eater ♄
*this guide is to show how ~I~ do things and offer advice on how to do it MY way. I am in no way encouraging anyone to do themselves harm. First off,
HEALTH IS WEALTH.
That being said.. this is literally the longest I’ve ever gone without bingeing. It’s just,,, easy this time. Once you get a feel of what it’s like to be skinny you just don’t crave junk as much anymore bc you KNOW it’s not worth it. The trick is to eat clean 90% of the time and allow your favorite treats 10% do the time. Fit them into your calorie limit!!! Here’s some personal favorites that have helped me lose like 20lbs in the past 2 months.
I tend to do one higher- calorie drink during the day (protein shake, Starbucks, etc) and one healthy filling but low cal meal and a sweet snack at the end of the night.
LOW CALORIE 90%
Mediterranean salad (~150): mixed greens, chopped bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, red onion. Little bit of feta cheese. Balsamic vinegar (not dressing or vinegarette!!!!) I don’t add meat but you could totally add chicken for low cal high protein choice. You could also add olives but I don’t fw them.
Chocolate Protein shakes from the gas station (loll). They’re 220 cal on average and a great treat. Strawberry one is good too.
SEAWEED SNACKS they’re literally 30-60 calories for a pack and kill my urge to eat chips!!! Please give them a try!
Soups. Soups that are already portioned and have the calorie amount posted. I add extra seasonings and spice to boost metabolism.
Coffee!! With almond milk and a little coffee creamer. It’s worth the calories if you want a coffee just make one it’s better than going to Starbucks.
Sushi: I’m vegetarian so I get an avocado and cucumber roll. It’s so good with fresh ginger and a little soy sauce. Sometimes I will be craving it allllllll day and have it as my OMAD so rewarding đŸ„č
Miso soup>>>>>> add tofu and seaweed and onions!! And mushrooms if you like them.
Monster Ultra energy drinks,,,, yeah I know they’re bad for you but I love them.
Fruits!!! I especially love strawberries, watermelon, cherries, blackberries, pineapple and mangoes.
TREATS 10%
Trail mix: dried cherries, pecans, walnuts, pistachios, cashews. High in calories but perfect for killing hunger. High protein keeps you full and muscles strong, high healthy fats will keep your hair and skin and nails beautiful.
Chocolates: SMALL PORTIONS. if you can’t eat just eat a piece without bingeing, do NOT buy a big bag. what I do is I buy a bar of whatever chocolate I’m craving for my bf and we share it piece by piece. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white, hazelnut, with coffee beans, with toffee, fruits, chocolate is the best thing ever đŸ«
Starbucks! My fav drinks are matcha lattes (hot/iced), iced white chocolate mocha, caramel macchiato, and occasionally a pumpkin spice latte. Peppermint mochas on the holidays. Oat milk always
Baked goods. Same deal as the chocolate, ONLY BUY THE PORTION YOURE GOING TO EAT. If you have been craving a croissant, go get one. One. Don’t buy a whole dozen of them. You will end up bingeing trust me. My favs are cinnamon rolls <3
Habits
I’m going to the gym!!! Consistently for the first time in my life. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy. Spend 30 min on the treadmill alternating between incline walking and easy paced jogging. Put on a YouTube video. Wear pink and bring a cute water bottle. You have to make an experience out of it! I stick to cardio and full body stretches plus ocasional (light) strength workouts w my bf.
I don’t drink anymore. Just 🍃. Alc is so high in sugar and carbs and it’s literally poison bro. I know it’s hard to stop but once you do you’ll feel so much better.
I rarely weigh myself. I’m at my bfs house all the time so I only step on my scale maybe 3 times a month. It’s been a game changer!!!
MINDSET
I practice mindfulness and speak kindly to myself. Basically sweetspo + affirmations to myself all the time.
Taking more pride in your appearance will also help motivate you. You think you’ll still want to binge after you took a full body shower, clean PJ’s or outfit, painted your nails, skincare and makeup done, whitened your teeth and lit a candle? No thanks.
Limit stupid, negative, useless media consumption. Watch things that have to do with your hobbies/ interests and your social media algorithms begin to kinda clean themselves up over time. My pages are all about exercise, study blogs, beauty tips and sciencey stuff. No more drama or celebrity nonsense. Cut down your following!!
ïżŒRemember you only have one life on earth. You’re young and hot once. Don’t you want to grab this chance while you have it? Unfortunately your beauty is your currency especially as a woman, so if there’s anything I can do to give myself a better life I will. Losing just a few pounds of fat will make the craziest difference in ways you’d never expect. Free and discounted stuff. More people smile at you and listen to what you have to say. Both literal and figurative doors will be opened for you.Clothes fit better bc they’re more flattering when your body is fit and healthy. While it feels good to get validation from other people, the best part of it is looking in the mirror and feeling proud instead of ashamed. The inner confidence that comes from successful transformation

.there’s no other feeling that compares. If you know, you know. I’m just saying,, the choice is yours đŸ€·đŸŒâ€â™€ïž

Your wish is my command anonđŸ«€đŸ«€đŸ«€
đŸŠ· Mona’s favorite holiday, predictably enough is Halloween and she loves the autumn season in general. Bill meanwhile, as a stark contrast, REALLY gets into Christmas.
đŸŠ· Mona is touch starved and she doesn’t know it. She completely melts when Bill runs his fingers through her hair or touches her for any reason but she tries to hide these reactions since she doesn‘t want to come off as “weak”.
đŸŠ· Nathan Cole was Bill’s partner and the more level-headed of the duo, being the one who had to reel Bill in whenever he got “overzealous” during police work. Nathan’s a legit good cop and generally nice guy while Bill was an asshole who was the epitome of police brutality.
đŸŠ· The Gimp seen in HELL was Mark, as in “Mark The Machine” who was a blogger/YouTube personality who covered real crime and serial killers and was documenting Mona and Bill’s murders for years, which piqued Mona’s interest in him as she believed he genuinely appreciated her “art”, resulting in her stalking him for a while until finally kidnapping him and turning him into a pet, which is the full extent of her showing any actual affection towards someone. The title of Mark’s “portrait” is a reference to his background as an Internet personality and how Mona has managed to break him down to essentially just a machine, a toy for her to use as she pleases.
đŸŠ· As mentioned before, Mona has an extreme allergy towards sunlight and photosensitivity that makes direct contact with sunlight very painful for her. As a result, Mona only goes out late at night or very early in the morning when the sun isn’t up. On cloudy days she’ll wear a “disguise” composed of a sun dress, opera gloves, stockings, a sun hat, a tattered parasol and a pair of sunglasses, allowing her to comfortably be outside during the day while also protecting herself from any potential rays that may be peaking out.
đŸŠ· Mona is double jointed and is extremely flexible as a result. Her flexibility and ability to contort herself comes in handy in her murders as she is an expert in hiding and breaking in and out of places and she can squeeze herself into tight spaces quite easily as well. This talent of her’s comes in handy on nights when she and Bill get naughty 😏
đŸŠ· Mona does not care for personal hygiene, she likes being a decrepit, stinky girl. However, if there is one form of self care she actually likes it’s brushing her hair because she finds it soothing and she likes her hair in general. Bill is tasked with brushing her hair and has a tendency to smell it while he does.
đŸŠ· Mona has a bit of a hoarding problem as she is an avid collector of many things ranging from knives and human bones/skulls to dolls/stuffed animals and many of her hideouts boasts some impressive collections she has amassed over the years.
đŸŠ· Mona also has an interest in entomology and mycology and boasts some fairly impressive knowledge on the subjects as a result. She’s got some nice bug and mushroom collections as well but she keeps them hidden because Bill keeps trying to eat them.
đŸŠ· Bill loves coffee while Mona is more of a tea gal. Bill prefers iced coffee over hot and Mona prefers hot tea over iced. Also, Mona can take or leave coffee, Bill meanwhile HATES tea.
đŸŠ· Bill loved breakfast foods, eggs & bacon, pancakes, waffles, donuts, you name it, he was also a fan of eggs in general and isn’t too keen on sweets most of the time. Mona is a MEAT girl, any kind of meat will do but human meat/organs is her favorite.
đŸŠ· Mona dislikes guns because she finds them to be an incredibly boring and “impersonal” way of killing someone that doesn’t inspire her much, preferring a more “hands on” approach to murder. Bill meanwhile doesn’t just like guns, he practically worshipped them and was a typical second amendment, NRA type before meeting Mona.
đŸŠ· Mona’s favorite genres of music are Industrial, Alternative Rock, Grunge, Horror Punk, Goth Rock and Dark Cabaret, her favorite artist is either Voltaire or Tom Waits. Bill’s favorite genres are Hard Rock, Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Nu Metal, Groove Metal and Psychedelic, his favorite artist is either Rob Zombie or Disturbed.
đŸŠ· By far, the worst thing Mona has ever done was when she blew up a daycare on Christmas Eve, collected the charred remains of the infants, stitched them back together as macabre flesh dolls and sent them to their parents in gift boxes on Christmas day. Even Bill was kinda shocked when she did this and genuinely didn’t think she could get anymore depraved until she did it
which only made him love her even more in the end.
đŸŠ· Mona’s choice for a final meal would be brown sugar glazed pork chops with colcannon and roasted asparagus, filet mignon with lobster tail, black pudding, a slice of spiced apple cake with french vanilla ice cream and a cup of earl grey. Also if given the choice, Mona would choose to be executed by firing squad. Bill’s final meal would be two pounds of fried chicken with a pound of fried shrimp, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, a pound of strawberries and a bottle of fireball whiskey. Bill wouldn’t care how he’s executed, just as long Mona is there to see him off.

đŸ§™â€â™‚ïžâœš 05: The Do’s and Don’ts of Being Friends with Stephen Strange: A Survival Guide by Serena Stark âœšđŸ§™â€â™‚ïž Pt. 1
Alright, I’m here to help all of you navigate the wild experience that is being friends with Stephen Cedric Vincent Strange, the guy who can open portals to alternate dimensions but still can’t pronounce "penguin" correctly. (Looking at you, Doc. 👀)
Tumblr media
✅DO’s
Do accept that he’s basically a walking thesaurus.
When Stephen opens his mouth, prepare to hear words that make you feel dumb. Words like “epistemology,” “prestidigitation,” and “probabilistic thaumaturgy.” If you don’t know what half of those mean, don’t worry. Just nod and smile, and occasionally drop “That’s fascinating, Doc” like you're actually listening.
Do accept that he will judge your life choices.
You know how some people are passive-aggressive? Well, Stephen is aggressively passive. He’ll “casually” mention that you could probably fix your whole life with a little “focus” and “discipline” while giving you a judgmental side-eye. Thanks, Doc, I’m already working on it. Maybe don’t tell him about your Netflix binge—he’ll probably lecture you on “wasting time” or something equally annoying.
Do appreciate His Style.
Stephen's wardrobe is 90% cloaks, and honestly, he pulls it off. The man can be the most powerful sorcerer in the multiverse and still manage to look like he’s one step away from a Hogwarts graduation ceremony. Compliment his cloak. Always. It’s the only thing keeping his ego from imploding, and let’s face it, that thing is his most prized possession.
Do enjoy his random facts about everything.
No, seriously. Stephen Strange is basically a walking encyclopedia, but way more intense. He’ll casually mention facts about the history of magical realms, obscure creatures, or the properties of enchanted mushrooms, and you’ll wonder, “How does he know so much about mushrooms?!” But hey, it's better than the usual small talk, right? Just nod and say, "That's interesting, Doc," even if you’re still wondering about the mushroom thing.
Do pretend you understand magic (for his ego’s sake).
When Strange starts talking about spells or mystical rituals, just toss in a “Yeah, totally. That makes sense.” Maybe even throw in a “I think I can feel the magic now,” and watch him glow with pride. Deep down, we both know you have no idea what the hell he’s talking about, but this is the best form of flattery. No one tell him I still use Google to figure out half of what he says.
Do accept that you will never, ever win an argument.
Stephen is the king of "I told you so" moments. He’s been alive for centuries (or at least it feels that way), so he will outwit you, out-reason you, and out-snark you into oblivion. Don’t even bother trying to argue your point. Your best bet is just to nod and say, “Yeah, sure, Doc, you were right,” even if you know you weren’t wrong. It’s easier this way.
Do be ready to call him out when he’s wrong.
Even a Sorcerer has to take accountability. You might not have magical powers, but you’ve got that Stark wit and some serious confidence, so when he pulls a "Stephen Strange" moment—like when he tries to explain why he is always right—don’t hesitate to put him in his place. You’ll gain mad respect.
Do prepare for spontaneous philosophical debates about existence.
Somehow, Stephen will always find a way to turn your casual conversation into a deep dive about the nature of reality, the universe, and how everything is interconnected—even the way your coffee tastes. Just roll with it. You didn’t plan on spending the next 45 minutes contemplating the meaning of life while looking at a cup of coffee, but here we are.
Do embrace the unexpected trips to the Sanctum Sanctorum.
Being friends with Stephen means you might end up in the Sanctum Sanctorum at odd hours. And not just the “let’s grab some coffee and chat” kind of visit—oh no, sometimes you’ll be swept into dimension-bending, reality-altering escapades with absolutely zero notice.
Do learn the art of nodding and pretending you understand the mystic mumbo-jumbo.
Let’s face it, half the time you’re going to be completely out of your depth when Stephen talks about magic, alternate dimensions, or cosmic phenomena. But don’t panic—just nod, repeat a key word you might have understood, and when in doubt, throw in an “I knew that!” Stephen will never know that you have no idea what’s going on. After all, he’s a wizard, not a mind reader. Probably.
Do accept that he's secretly proud of you (sometimes).
Deep down, Stephen is actually quite proud of you when you manage to hold your own in a conversation about magical chaos or dimensional anomalies. It’s rare to get an actual compliment, but when you do, it’s like a momentous occasion. Think of it as winning a gold medal in a very niche event. But if he ever says, “You did well,” it’s like the highest form of praise he’ll give you, and you’ll feel like you’ve just achieved enlightenment.
Do remind him to eat... occasionally.
As busy as he is, Stephen somehow forgets to eat. So, when you're hanging out, throw a snack his way and remind him that the human body still needs food—no matter how much magic he’s conjuring. If you’re lucky, he’ll mutter something about “taking care of himself,” but hey, at least he ate.

Hello earthlings, your favourite aliens back! Well, not favourite, I probably don't even make it to the top fifty, but let a guy have dreams.
I am currently drowned in exams and two days late on my art commissions schedule, but I've just eaten coffee beans thinking it was chocolate (don't do that, kids) and decided that it's time for a new BSfLM.
@weirdly-specific-but-ok , tagging you because I haven't bothered you in a while. Read this coffee induced masterpiece and cry.
global cheering
So, since @randomvoices and @zonzolik asked about the cults, I'll talk about...well, the cults. And now, mortals, IT'S SHOWTIME. Neil Gaiman have your mercy, for the worst is yet to come.
global slightly worried cheering
Okay, buckle your seatbelts, here's the story of how I almost got dragged into a cult. Welcome to hell.
Alrighty-almighty, it all starts, as it will end, in some little russian town. You know, these little towns that seem to only exist to say things like "this famous guy was born there", "that famous guy tried to sleep there for a night but was met with a lot of suspicion", "that one blorbo on the net got dragged into a cult there", etc. You see what I'm talking about.
"But, Ash, why were you in this town?", you ask.
The truth is, I don't know. We were looking for a place to sleep, then God decided that my life will be a crossover between Florida News and those traumatic fairy tales from your childhood that you remember all your life, and threw me there. Hi!
So, we arrive there, it's late, almost everyone is sleeping, and we need to stay unnoticed for runaway reasons. The villagers, however, are not very eager to welcome two black haired strangers carrying an impressive amount of close combat weapons. After a bit of useless bargaining, we realised that it's time to pack our bags and hitch the road.
So, we get a loaf of bread for dinner and go away, trying to look very offended. Historians don't say if it was effective. We're almost gone when we see a guy who yells us that there's a small community of monks in the woods who usually welcome well minded strangers.
Sleep in a monastery is better than no sleep at all, we decide, and go in the woods. We arrive, the monks are nice even if not very monkish, they give us some mushroom stew and send us to sleep.
I don't know what they put in the stew, but we both sleep for more than three days. When we wake up, they're all nice, all seem very worried that we haven't woken up earlier. We apologize for abusing their hospitality and ask if we could do something to make up for it. We may be punk, but we have a heart. They happily agree and we spend an unknown amount of days alternating between enormous amounts of sleep and chopping wood, collecting flowers, brewing beer, and other monastery stuff.
We start thinking about leaving, but every time we mention it, they ask us if we could help with something else, and make clear that they won't tell us where they put our travel bags (with the guns inside.). Now that we live with them, we can see that they don't look like monks at all. Neither of us knows a lot about Christianity, but I'm pretty sure monks aren't supposed to wear flower crowns, sleep together, and sing songs about how Nature is a massive slay. They're hippies, we think, nice ones, and keep chopping wood.
They seem pretty excited about the full moon. Is God supposed to look at us through the moon's eye? Is God the moon? Were they secretly werewolves? Who knows. But they were acting very strange when we mentioned it. Told us that we need to see the full moon ceremony, that it will change our lives.
We help them decorate the woods, and put a small monolith around which it's going to take place. They ask Beez to pick a goat, because they're going to do a thing in our honour. Goat meat stew? Why not. Another 2 day-long nap later, it's the full moon. They give us white robes. Beez insists to keep all the things they haven't put away under them. The black-white combo doesn't look good, but it works.
We reunite in the clearing. As soon as the moon appears, they start singing. I don't know that song but it sounds metal. I'm joining them, stammering some lyrics about burning Christians. It fortunately goes unnoticed.
And then, the goat arrives. It's very clear that there won't be any stew. Beez looks at me. I look at Beez. And we run like our lives are in danger, which is probably true. Without the robes, we're almost invisible in the night. And we mindlessly run for dear life, two days of running almost without stopping. I don't know if they sent people after us, but they didn't catch us.
So, yeah, here's how we survived a moonlight cult, and people from said cult obtained two brand new backpacks, a dozen guns, perfectly done passports (it was awful to redo these without being found) and half a loaf of bread. Hope they remember us.
Remember, children, always trust suspicious strangers. Fun adventures might happen.
