Frankly, if you like classic literature and/or fairy tales (and speak well enough French), then this book is a Must. It collects four stories written by Henriette-Julie de Castelnau de Murat, one of the 17th century noble ladies who were writing fairy tales in France. They used those stories to engage with their lived realities, for example, speaking up against arrange marriages was a recurring theme.

Anyway, one of them was a lesbian. That is Madame de Murat. The stories in this book are not explicitly queer, for the obvious reason of being written in the 17TH CENTURY, but the subtext is definitely there, plus you get a biography of the author.

It is a short book, interesting read, and I love it SO MUCH to see one of the conteuses get some recognition. It is beyond time that we start reprinting the stories of these women.

the german psyche is fascinating to me (or rather the way it appears to me as a non german based on their media output is fascinating to me) because. it appears that they are incapable of conceptualizing turks as being people who can look like them (light skin, light hair, colored eyes etc) and/or they're incapable of conceptualizing individuals with tanner skin / darker hair etc as anything other than turks? like to be ethnically turkish is to be foreign and to be foreign is to be turkish. so they'll have turkish actors with lighter complexions playing ethnically german characters, and they'll have other middle eastern actors (iranians or levantine or north africans) with slightly darker complexions playing turkish characters... but they won't have a turkish actor who might pass for german playing a turkish character, and they will only rarely have these other middle eastern actors playing characters of their own ethnicity . not a very big problem in the grand scale of things but sort of weird that it's even enough of a pattern to be identified

one romance option wasn't enough for companion murat, so i made two more. :D

so! if lucanis is romanced by rook, then murat has a chance either with neve or davrin. and who he ends up with depends on the player. the game remembers how many times you brought davrin\murat or neve\murat with you on the missions. the couple which was with you the most - wins. if you never paired any of them, then he'll stay alone, if it was the same amount of times - random.

wanted to illustrate their dynamics a little. :> annoy or be annoyed.
