Some mornings this is all I've got. And that's Ok. 👍We don't need to be attempting all the difficult asanas to be practicing Yoga. Even just sitting in stillness and noticing the breath IS yoga. Even just behind mindful and kind in your treatment to others IS yoga. Heck, some of the 'best' Yogis have never even stepped on a Yoga mat in their lives. Practicing non-violence, non-attachment and truthfulness is much more important than mastering scorpion handstand any day of the week. And so today I'm practicing acceptance and love. And I hope to take this lesson off my couch into the rest of my day too! ☺️❤️ #myyogalife #humpdayyoga #yogaphilosophy #happyandhealthy #yogaeverydamnday #couchyoga #postpartumyoga #yogawithbaby #mumsandbubsyoga #healingbenefitsofyoga

We have all been placed on this earth to discover our own path. 👣 We will never be happy if we are just following someone else's journey. If you're unsure who's the real 'you' notice where your imagination goes when you're daydreaming, notice the moments when you really feel that warm, fuzzy happiness and don't be afraid to go off the beaten track and do something 'crazy' to find it, because it might just be the best journey of your life. In 2014 I quit my full time job, moved out of my house and moved to Bali for 7 months to practice Yoga. It certainly wasn't the conventional path that my careers counsellor recommended at school, but I haven't looked back since and every day has just got better and better. Now I'm a Mum to the most beautiful baby girl, with a man I truly love and doing what I love every day. ☺️ So don't be afraid of what others are going to think, chances are they will talk anyway so may as well give them something interesting to talk about! As Dr. Seuss says 'Today you are you, that is truer than true. There's no one alive who is youer than you!' Open hips are so important to our health. Especially after having a baby it's important to open and strengthen this area to aid our recovery and assist our posture, stability and organ function. Malasana is a great pose for strengthening and opening the hips and best thing, can even be done with baby on board! Even if you're not practicing post partum this is such an amazing pose for healthy hips! 👍 #healthyhips #16weekspostpartum #postnatalyoga #happyandhealthy #mumsandbubsyoga #myyogalife #yogawithgeorgia (at Mount Eliza, Victoria, Australia)

Trust is treated as such a rare and precious commodity these days. People talk about their 'trust issues' like a badge of honour. 🎖 So you trusted someone? So it didn't turn out right? So you feel disappointed? 😞 ...So what?! At least you had faith in a fellow human and a positive perspective for that time. We do ourselves no service by fiercely holding onto our trust and not letting new people in. We only limit our capacity for love. In doing this, we not only stop trusting the world, we stop trusting ourselves. At just 14 weeks old Isla has FULL trust in me. In fact her survival is dependant upon it. She loves being held up like this and would never doubt that I would drop her. But as we go through life stuff happens. People let you down, things don't work out, sometimes you fall. Let's not let those few experiences take away from trusting and loving each other. At its heart the world is good and people are good. If we could just take down our guard occasionally, stop assuming everyone's against us and see the world through a baby's eyes then we might just start to see some loving eyes looking back. 😍 #trusteachother #trustyourself #letdownyourguard #shithappens #keeptrusting #mumsandbubsyoga #14weekspostpartum #14weeksold #babiesofinstagram #myyogalife #yogawithbaby #yogaeverydamnday #happyandhealthy #acroyoga #acrovinyasa

In Chinese Medicine the condition of the feet is considered crucial to overall health and wellness. There are points in the feet that relates directly to organs, glands and other parts of the body. Furthermore, one-quarter of the body's bones are in the feet, so when they are misaligned this can cause trouble in the hip, knees, lower back, even neck! In Winter we spend most of the time with our feet squished into shoes walking around on flat surfaces. This means there's no opportunity to properly exercised all of the intrinsic muscles in our feet and keep them healthy. This pose is a good way to stretch out the feet. Do it for 1 minute at a time 3 times a day and you will notice massive changes in your posture, sense of grounding, coordination and balance. Walking barefoot on uneven surfaces such as sand or rocks is also really good for healthy feet. A strong house must be built on a strong base and the same goes for our bodies! Keep your feet strong and flexible for all over body health. Isla and I love this Manduca Sling from Fertile Mind, feels like being pregnant again and good way to keep her snug and warm on these wintery days. (This isn't normal wearing position but she always likes to get her hands out haha) 👍 #foothealth #yogaforfeet #yogaforhealth #13weekspostpartum #happyandhealthy #myyogalife #postpartumyoga #yogawithbaby #babywearing #mumsandbubsyoga #postpartumfitness #footyoga

As parents we often focus on all the things we want to teach our children. We can't wait for them to grow up so we can tell them what we think of the world and how to think and act. Whilst I feel so privileged to have an influence on this little darling's life, I am amazed at how much she has taught ME already. Through being her Mother I have learnt the importance of rest, patience and eating regularly. I have witnessed the power of a smile in transforming the way people relate to you. I have been forced to step out of the chaos of life and pause for a cuddle. Whilst this has been meant to settle Isla, I too feel calmed by this experience. At only 3 months old she instinctively knows what she needs to be healthy better than most adults! So just like Isla, don't be afraid to ask for what you need for a healthy life (she certainly isn't shy when it comes to letting us know what she wants!) Listen to your body, eat regularly, keep warm, smile lots -even at strangers, get some sleep and ALWAYS take time to pause for a cuddle. ☺️ #happyandhealthy #postpartumhealth #myyogalife #childspose #yogaeverydamnday #babyphilosophy #mumsandbubsyoga

Officially 3 months today! 😱Where on earth did that time go? My little peanut is now smiling, cooing, using her hands and starting to sit up. So amazing to witness her discover her own little world and all her inbuilt abilities come forth. Is a harsh comparison to my own growth though. It's like today I wrote some emails, paid a bill but didn't get time to exercise, in fact my fitness has possibly got WORSE!!Meanwhile... Isla discovered how to use her hands! 🙌 Way to put Mumma's achievement into perspective Isla. 😂 A good reminder that no matter how old we are we can always learn something new and improve ourselves. The Yoga mat is a great place to start, which is where you'll find me this morning- learning, exploring and finding a new edge, just like my gorgeous daughter does every day. 👍 I wonder what new skill we will learn today? ☺️ #groweveryday #3montuspostpartum #postbabyhealth #myyogajourney #yogaeverydamnday #learnsomethingneweveryday #3monthsold #happyandhealthy #babiesofinstagram #myyogalife #mumsandbubsyoga #postnatalyoga

It's not uncommon for new Mums to start to resemble the Hunchback of Notre Dame! The reason for this is that all of our Mummy activities are forward of the body.🚶 For example, picking baby up out of bassinet, putting baby in car, carrying baby, feeding baby, changing baby etc. To counteract this and prevent kyphosis do any movement which opens the chest and extends the spine. For example... Camel pose, locust pose, bridge pose or this cool modified wheel pose with baby. Whether you're a new Mum or not, good posture not only keeps you looking fit and young, it also helps your body function to its full potential. 👍Keep standing tall Yogis and have a great weekend! ✨✌️ #standtall #backbend #goodposture #postnatalayoga #mumsandbubsyoga #postpartumfitness #myyogajourney #7weekspostpartum #happyandhealthy #yogawithbaby #babiesofinstagram #yogaig

Babies are a really good mirror to our emotions. Just like animals they can pick up in an instant if we are stressed, anxious, angry or calm and content. People often say 'relaxed Mum, relaxed baby' so despite everything being new, sleep levels being low and extra emotional hormones pulsing through my body, I am making a real concerted effort to stay relaxed and calm. Not only does this make Isla feel better it makes ME feel better and so the positive cycle continues. ☺️ Things that I've found have really helped me stay relaxed are: -Remembering that I was a whole, interesting person with another life before I became a Mum. So where appropriate I try and incorporate these things into my life with Isla. Yoga practice, road trips, reading books, playing music... This keeps me within the bigger picture and stops me from being that person that only talks about the colour of their kids nappy 24/7! 😂 -Being in the moment. These moments I'm sharing with my new daughter are so incredibly special. If I am sitting with her or feeding her I make sure to really be with her. Whilst it's tempting to reach for my phone or watch TV it's so much more important to just look into her beautiful blue eyes, take a deep breath and take in every aspect of the moment... Because one day she will be all grown up! -Let go of expectations. We all have different and amazing stories. But we cannot expect every page to be a masterpiece. There's always going to be days that challenge you, but this is how we grow! Babies definitely don't come with an instruction manual other than 'Have fun and good luck' so letting go of expectations to be the 'perfect mother' at all times is really important. As Osho says... 'Don't seek, don't serve, don't ask, don't knock, don't demand- RELAX. If you relax, it comes. If you relax, it is there. If you relax you start vibrating with it.' And maybe, just maybe this is how we relax our babies too? ☺️ #keepcalmandrelax #positiveparenting #oshoquotes #happyandhealthy #mypregnancyjourney #mumsandbubsyoga #healthyparenting #postnatalyoga #postbabyfitness #letgoofexpectations #yogawithgeorgia #yogawithbaby #yogisofinstagram

Make your life about love not about things. No one is ever going to stand up at your funeral and say 'She had a really expensive couch and nice shoes!' With this little cherub in my life, I've got no choice. Even though we've only known each other for 3 weeks, I couldn't love her more. Don't forget to tell the ones you love how much they mean to you. Happy Friday everyone xo ❤️ #makelifeaboutliving #makelifeaboutlove #myyogalife #mumsandbubsyoga #3weekspostpartum #mumsandbubsfitness #healthybabies #healthyparenting
