The secret of the screaming mummy – has been solved! At least, in theory! (Not everyone is convinced). The ancient Egyptian woman (whose identity is lost in the mists of time!) was buried an estimated 3,500 years ago, disinterred by archaeologists in 1935 near Luxor – and her tortured expression has baffled experts ever since. (Doesn’t she look like Catherine Deneuve at the end of The Hunger?). As The Guardian explains, received wisdom has been that her eternal silent scream was simply “down to shoddy mummification.” Now, though, new researchers conclude that “the woman’s expression may be down to a rare, immediate form of rigor mortis” called “cadaveric spasm” (which would make a great name for a death metal band). Or, to put it more vividly, “the woman died crying out in agony.” Yikes! Fascinatingly, “the team say the mummy was well preserved, estimating the woman would have stood about 1.55 metres (just over 5ft) tall when alive. The CT scans offered further insights, revealing she died around 48 years old and had mild arthritis – including in her spine.” Her striking mane of long jet-black “hair” was a wig “made from braided date palm fibres and showed traces of juniper and frankincense as well as various minerals – possibly … to stiffen the fibres and give them a youthful black colour.” How stylish! Carry on screaming, lady. Scream and scream again! Pic by Sahar Saleem.

Criminal Minds Point Key
My mummy dearest and I are big fans of criminal minds. Today we decided to rewatch the show and use our beautiful autistic nerd powers to create a somewhat logical point system to determine what are actually the best and worst episodes.
Every episode starts with 100 points and either gains or loses points according to the following point key:
Jack appears physically in person. (+10)
Jack is heard or shown not in person. (+5)
Henry appears physically in person. (+9)
Henry is heard or shown not in person. (+4)
Victim actually does something smart or plays the long game. (+15)
Hotch/Morgan/Rossi isn't an asshole at all during the episode while being in it. (+20)
Reid’s interesting fun facts. (+5)
Awwwwwwwww that's so sweeeet (+5)
Okay, that actually made me laugh. (+5)
Hotch shows emotion. (+10)
Oooh they smexy. (+5)
Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. (+2)
Actually wholesome. (+2)
*Jazz hands* (+10)
Someone picks up evidence using a glove without even wearing the damn glove in the first place. (-20)
There is a very obvious and easy way to do something that helps with the case but no one even mentions it. (-20)
“Why did you shoot him??? What was the point of that???” (-10)
“How in god's name are they still alive??? Are you immortal???” (-5)
Someone in the team going completely rogue. (-5)
Ruining an entire relationship with a single line of dialog. (-15)
✨Sexism✨ (-10)
✨Racism✨ (-10)
✨Homophobia✨ (-10)
That. Isnt. Possible. (-10)
A cognitive interview turning into blatant hypnosis. (-10)
Someone being immune from legal consequences. (-15)
Being insensitive to victims and/or survivors. (-15)
I understand… but still, WHERE IS YOUR WARRANT (-5)
Someone says something blatantly obvious. (-2)
This doesn't concern you! (-2)
What is that outfit??? (-1)

They would be strange words to hear from one's mother, if one's mother was not his own. A curdled mourning reawakened in his guts, roiling the hurt and anger he'd managed to push down and thought healed. She was regarded with a stern expression, yet Clive's eyes reflected his deep-seated hurt clearly.
" Were you ever good, or was my faith in you always pointless? "

pre-judgement is living death. self-embalming by self-manufactured poisons, preserving you in a swathing gauze of your own rationalizations.
Your opinions shape your reality. An opinion is a form of pre-judgment, and this is why I choose not to have opinions. I judge based on actions only when I see them. I judge no one online because typing on a keyboard and posting pictures are neutral actions. How other people respond to neutral actions, or any action, or if they respond, is entirely up to them.

Super impressed with this lady and her little pony today 😉🥳🤩
Mum’s first ever real competition and she blew it away!! Gem was no help at all in the dressage being her usual fizzy stroppy self, but really pulled it together in the cross country and they both had bloody big grins on by the time I caught up to them 😜 Speedy Gonzales confident cross country and a really nice clear show jumping round to finish on their dressage score of 49.5%!
Mum it’s so nice to see you flourish in your confidence and grow as a rider and horseman, fantastic seeing you get out there and give it a go and thankful to be your support crew xxx
Was fantastic seeing all the happy faces marshalling for obstacles and gear checking the sjers, what an amazing day!!! 🙌💕

[image description: a quartet of images from star wars: the clone wars and ahsoka.
1) gif of star wars: the clone wars season 3, episode 15: overlords. ahsoka points something out in the distance to obi-wan and anakin, saying 'hey, i saw something! a reflection, up on the hill.' they are on mortis, and she is referring to a beacon located atop the monastery of mortis, where the father resides.
2) screenshot from the ahsoka series of episode 8: the jedi, the witch, and the warlord, showing a statue of the father from the mortis arc, located on peridea.
3) screenshot from the same episode. baylan skoll looks out over a mountain vista, a beacon atop one peak.
4) the same screenshot, contrast increased, zoomed in on the peak with the beacon.
/end description]
dave filoni, i am staring at you so hard right now. i am rotating this in my mind along with obi-wan's line of 'i can't even lock down where in the galaxy we are, or if we are even in our own galaxy.'

consumed by the idea of performing a self-indulgent & self-mythologising cabaret act imitating my mum’s rockstar boyfriend from the 80s, alas i suspect the london queer audiences won’t be too impressed by me staggering drunk on stage while shouting in finnish. sad!

I am fully in favor of the ongoing Cecilsweep and have a deep and longstanding fondness for WTNV, but I will admit that I voted for Sans on the sexyman poll simply because the last time he won the Queen of England died and that’s the kind of energy I want to bring into the world again
