i genuinely dont care abt the fight for men to be gnc bc so much of it still depends on femininity, a construct invented BY MEN to oppress women and limit us in every conceivable way—physiologically, financially, socially, psychologically. so much of it still depends on aesthetics, on visuals, on fashion, on appearance, on affectations and mannerisms and perceptions lifted (and often exaggerated) from usually the (male!!!!) media’s idea of the “well-performed woman.” it still depends on being perceived with some degree of “object” in mind. there is always still an aspect of submission or limitation in mind whenever and wherever Femininity is distinctly championed.
whereas—the fight for women to be gnc is literally the opposite. it’s the fight for us to just be. to not have to add anything where expected—makeup, jewelry, high heels, long nails, long hair, large breasts, multistep skincare routines, varying degrees of cosmetic procedures—or subtract it where society desires the subtraction—our body hair, our comfortable clothing, our attitudes, our skills, our strength, our fat stores, our appetites, our intelligence, our boundaries. it’s the fight for us to not have to drastically change our bodies or our posture/the way we sit or the pitches of our voices or even just down to the volume and pattern of our laughs. it’s the fight to exist as we are. to not have to sacrifice time, money, health, energy, effort, and agency in the expectation that we will obligingly wear our shackles and tell ourselves it looks hot idk. it’s the fight to not have to be our own obsessive compulsive voyeurs solely in order to perfect the inevitable future experience of being voyeured by others.
basically i just literally dont care abt men who think they are gods gift to rebellious activism by wearing something from the womens section of the store lol like i will not be drinking in encouragement of more femininity in any form on either sex. i care abt women being treated as people when they like. dare to interview for jobs without makeup

Good omens headcanon: purposefully leaving items at each others apartments and being too gay and stupid to address it
Okay, okay, okay. So, I've talked about the second bedroom that Aziraphale arranged for Crowley in his bookshop. I've talked about that while Crowley would never admit he likes it, items are being moved and new things, that suspiciously look like Crowley's, appear in the room.
Now imagine this. The same happens outside of the second bedroom too. And that at least ever since the book incident during WW2. Maybe earlier. Slowly, as their friendship/relationship grows and as they spend more time together, items from one or the other appear in each others places. One of Aziraphale's pens on Crowley's desk. Crowley's mascara below some towels in Aziraphale's bathroom. They aware of the item's presence and the fact that they left some behind, but yet they don't say anything. Neither would they admit that finding them makes them smile or that they treasure them deeply.
(Sidenote: I am the firm believer that Crowley not only has an exact, multistep long skin care routine he takes very seriously, but also has a liking in makeup in no matter which form he's in).
As the time goes on, Aziraphale starts leaving books purposefully behind and Crowley does not touch them. One day, Crowley brings over a plant. Aziraphale swears to take care of it, but he doesn't have to, as Crowley makes sure to check on it when he visits.

Memories and Nightmares
Summary: Legend has a phobia nightmare. Malon offers support and comfort.
Word count: 1980
Notes: Legend describes his nightmare with his little detail as possible, but he talks about events and uses words that may be triggering for trypanophobes.

The nightmare didn’t let Legend leave easily. It was a multistep struggle, first to realize that he was stuck in a dream, then to claw his way out. Voices and images danced in his mind, attempting to play out further before he finally gained enough control to force his eyes open. He stared into the dark, more willing to gaze at pure blackness than the visions invented by his own mind.
Ever so slowly, the real world began to replace the realm of nightmares. The calls of imaginary enemies were drowned out by his own ragged breathing, and the soft snores of his brothers. Flashes of sterile light gave way to the sleeping form of Four, bundled right beside Legend.
The heroes had once again found themselves at Lon Lon Ranch, and the younger eight silently agreed to maintain the same sleeping spots as the first time they had visited. This meant that Four and Legend were back to back, which the smith was more than happy about. He was clingier than ever, and by the frequent amber glimmer of his eyes, Legend could guess who was responsible. The vet didn’t mind, though. Four was good at providing comfort without being overly affectionate, while Warriors preferred to keep his personal space altogether. Besides, all of Four would have Legend’s head if he dared to refuse Red’s care.
But right now, being surrounded by his brothers felt stifling. Legend couldn’t shake the memories of what had happened in his dream. Though the details were fading fast, he still remembered enough to know that he needed to be alone, and now. As quietly as he could, making sure to not disturb Four, Legend extricated himself from his blankets and slipped out of the guest room. Walking on half-asleep feet, he guided himself downstairs and to the living room.
He slowly sat on the couch, in the odd balance between wanting to sleep and gradually waking up. He stared at the far wall, feeling a bit dazed now. The remnants of his nightmare growled and hissed from where he had shoved them back, dangerously close to taking over again. He shook his head a bit clumsily, managing to stave off the images, but a phantom pain suddenly pierced his arm. He gasped, flinching away from empty air, defensively curling in on himself.
Go away, he told the lingering sensation. You’re not real.
Something touched his shoulder, and he instantly knew that it was very much real. He cried out and batted it away, his mind a few seconds late to determine what it was.
A cold metal gauntlet clamped around his arm. No- a gentle, warm hand hesitantly reaching out.
“Sorry, that was my fault. I shoulda warned you first.”
Legend had been so caught in his own mind, he hadn’t realized that Malon was downstairs too. He looked up at her, his tired brain taking a few extra seconds to recognize her concerned expression.
“Why aren’t you upstairs with the others?” she asked. “Too loud?”
He shook his head, not trusting his voice to be steady just yet.
She hummed in consideration. “Nightmare?”
He nodded, confirming with a raspy “Mhm.”
“Shoulda known when I saw that look in your eyes,” she sighed. “Link’s given me that exact same face over too many nights to count. Like a spooked horse, I always tell him.”
Legend huffed a little laugh at the thought.
Malon gave him a small smile. “I couldn’t sleep either. Mind if I stay up with you?”
“Y-yes please,” Legend whispered, his voice breaking a little in the way that voices tended to when still recovering from sleep. He winced, but Malon didn’t seem to care.
“I was about to go to the kitchen and fix something up. Do you want any?” she offered.
“Sure.”
“I’ll put some water on to boil, then I’ll be right back.”
Legend was alone for the next few minutes, and spent the time slowly waking up more. Details of the room gradually came into focus and the sounds of Malon quietly preparing things in the kitchen became clearer. The adrenaline from his nightmare exhausted itself, leaving him with tired fear and hazy memories. The imaginary pain in his arm turned to a familiar dull ache, so he gritted his teeth and drew in on himself in a pitiful self-hug. He stayed like that until Malon came back, finding himself unwilling to move even as she sat right beside him.
“Did you have a nightmare too?” he asked, mostly to break the silence that threatened to hang between them.
“Nothing of the sort. I just found myself unable to rest tonight.”
Legend sat quietly for a moment, full of curiosity but knowing that it would be rude to ask. Malon must have sensed it, though, and granted him an answer to his unspoken question.
“To be honest, I was worried about you. You’ve had it pretty rough, huh?”
Legend was grateful that his blush was hidden behind his knees. “Yeah, but you don’t have to worry about me. I’m sure at least one of the others has it worse-”
“Now, don’t you start with that,” Malon tutted. “I swear, every one of y’all just like the rest. Right now, I’m here to talk to you. Got that?”
“Fine,” Legend sighed. “I’ve been having more nightmares recently. I think we both know why.”
“Have you talked to the others yet?”
It was a gentle, honest question, but Legend flinched as he remembered a reoccurring event from his nightmares.
His own friends turned against him and held him down-
“Not yet.”
She waited a beat before asking, “Do you want to talk to me about it? I won’t judge.”
He would probably regret this honesty by morning, but he found himself nodding as he tried to decide what to say. “Tonight I- they- um…”
Speaking it out loud would bring vivid memories back from their current haze. Gathering the courage to do so was tricky, and Malon understood immediately.
“Take your time, hon. I’ll check the kettle while you find your words, all right?”
He chose his words carefully, mentally sounding them out to determine what he could safely say without sending himself into a panicked spiral. He had to piece a story together too, before the memories of the nightmare scattered into pure nonsense. What could he explain to Malon, and what should he leave out?
By the time Malon returned, Legend had prepared a retelling that was coherent but not detailed enough to trigger himself. The phantom pain had faded enough that he was able to sit normally, releasing his arm from his own grip. Malon offered him a mug, keeping another for herself as she settled beside him again. She took a sip of her drink and Legend followed her lead.
The liquid was perfectly warm, creamy yet smooth, and tasted like sweet honey. It had an immediate soothing effect, and Legend set it aside after only a few sips. “Feels like I’ll fall asleep if I drink any more. What did you put in this?”
“Nothing special,” Malon laughed. “Just water, milk, and honey… and a little love.” She winked, making Legend smile.
The vet twisted his fingers, wishing that he had his rings or his bracelet or something to fidget with as he spoke. Taking them off to sleep did have its occasional downsides. He took a deep breath before saying, “I’m ready to talk about my dream now.”
Malon lowered her mug. “I’m listening.”
The sooner he said it, the sooner it would be out of his head.
“The other heroes were chasing me. I didn’t have any weapons or my Pegasus Boots and there was that weird nightmare feeling where it’s like you’re trying to run through water? It took a while but they eventually gained on me. Th-they were all holding syringes and Warriors was there and he- he looked like a soldier from my era. He grabbed me and I yelled at him to stop before they could do anything and-”
He just had to finish saying it and it’d be over.
“He forced me to hold a syringe and told me to do it myself. I just… froze. S-so Warriors held me in place as the others all came forward at once. Four laughed in my face, saying how stupid my fear is, and- and then- they-”
His throat tightened, choking his words and his breath. He brought his hands up to rub stinging eyes, finding that he was unable to keep his fingers steady. They were trembling.
He was shaking.
Din dang it.
“Come here, sweetie.” Malon held her arm out, and Legend didn’t need to be asked twice. She pulled him into a hug, her presence more than enough to block out the memories of harsh grips and cold metal. She held him tight, undeterred by his panicked shivering. “That sounds like a horrible dream, but you’re all right now. Nobody’s gonna force you to do anything you don’t want to. Our sleeping minds like to play tricks on us, but our worst nightmares are just that- figments of our imagination.”
Legend shuddered. “Dreams are more real than you think… not this one, though. Even if it felt real… it wasn’t.”
If he kept telling himself that, he had to believe it eventually. No matter how many nightmares he woke up from, he couldn’t escape the feeling of being trapped on that island. This was different, it had to be.
“That’s right. The other boys would never do that to you, I promise.”
“Can… can I stay down here for the rest of the night? I don’t know if I’m ready to see them again yet…”
“Of course, hon. I can stay with you too, if you’d like the company.”
Legend sighed, finally feeling a little bit at ease. “Yes, please.”

When morning came, Warriors was the first to venture downstairs. His tense posture and darting eyes betrayed that he was searching for something, and he visibly relaxed when he entered the living room.
Legend was still fast asleep, curled up in Malon’s arms. Two empty mugs on the side table and a blanket tucked around the vet indicated that though the situation had been unexpected, they had made the most of it.
Malon gave Warriors a tired smile and whispered, “Glad to see somebody up. Don’t suppose you can go drag my husband out of bed so the animals can be attended to?”
“A worthy challenge,” Warriors said with a smirk. His grin fell as he glanced at Legend, who whimpered and pressed closer to Malon. “Is… he okay?”
“He will be,” Malon said, rubbing Legend’s back until he was sufficiently soothed. “Be gentle with him today, captain. He’s had a rough night.”
“I’ll make sure not to tease him too much,” Warriors said, and laughed when Malon gave him a half-hearted glare. “I know my brother’s limits. Trust me, he’ll feel better if I don’t treat him like something delicate. If he needs to talk about it, he knows to come to me.”
Malon hummed in agreement, but Warriors had the feeling that she was keeping something from him. “As long as you know what’s best for him.”
A floorboard creaked above their heads and Warriors instinctively looked up. “The others will come down soon, I should probably-”
“Yes, go get Link,” Malon prompted, shooing him with a nod of her head. “I’ll wake this one up while you’re gone.”
Warriors gave her a little wave before turning and retracing his steps, this time headed to Malon and Time’s room. He heard Malon say something in a hushed voice and Legend grumble in response.
Warriors hoped that Legend wouldn’t hesitate to approach him when he was ready. Nightmares were yet another thing that they needed to address. Goddesses knew that Legend could use some well-deserved rest.

I come bearing an update of sorts, featuring my usual lack of brevity.
I have spoken previously on here about my grand and lofty multistepped video-editing plans that require learning and hefty investment of time and energy. I've also spoken about how Executive Function Deficit Disorder – more officially but misleadingly known as adhd – leaves me with a consistent deficit of time and energy, and brings about floundering on multistepped processes.
I captured a reasonable amount of footage in 2022, and quite a bit of footage in 2023. I am on track to capture quite a lot of footage in 2024, potentially even with minimal detracting from my own enjoyment of the shows at the time. Some of you may recall that I filmed more shows during the 2020 season than I did not, and posted about half of them on the PARF-fan Facebook, unscreened and unedited. I also still have unprocessed footage from 2018 and even 2017, the years on which I cut my metaphorical teeth as far as archiving the Faire goes. My intention is for all of this to land on the PARF-fan YouTube in one form or another, but I insist on it happening in chronological order. None of this jumping around year to year for me.
I've also spoken here before about how it is unfair of me to withhold what I've archived just because it's not yet to my standards. This season, I am resolved to have my shit together with filming more than ever before, and that makes such withholding even sillier. To that end, I shall be posting what I film this year more or less as I go, giving it a basic screening to ensure nothing is too objectionable, and leaving the proper editing for later. As stated, it shall be on the Facebook and not the YouTube, though YouTube plays videos better (almost like that's its purpose or something), because I am far more willing to play fast and loose with chronology on Facebook.
However! Because of personal reasons unrelated to chronology, I am unwilling to address 2022 after 2024. To that end, I shall begin this process with my 2022 footage and make my way through my 2023 footage before posting my 2024 footage. All footage from the Megan-Zach-Mary 'verse shall wait until I'm caught up on the Jules 'verse. I'm hoping to get at least two videos posted each day – which will still make it more than a month before I get to 2024, so I'll make every effort to post more frequently than that; but it simply won't be viable at all times.
I shall start the upload process as soon as I've posted this li'l update.

The Role of Epigenetic Modifications in Gene Regulation: A Critical Review Cellular differentiation, development, and response to various environmental changes all are multistep biological processes that depend fundamentally on gene regulation. Epigenetic modifications allow the cell to respond interactively to environmental changes without altering the DNA sequence and have thus gained increased attention during the last few years. This blog will critically review some of the important epigenetic mechanisms-DNA methylation, histone modifications, and noncoding RNAs-and their involvement in health and disease.
What is Epigenetic? Epigenetics is defined as the study of heritable features concerning the role of gene regulation and not the underlying DNA sequence. These types of modification, usually reversible, have the ability to dynamically alter the expression of a gene by a cell. The epigenetic mechanisms allow cell differentiation in multicellular organisms beginning from the same DNA sequence genome.
Key Mechanisms of Epigenetic Regulation
DNA Methylation
DNA Methylation DNA methylation is one among the well-studied epigenetic mechanisms. It comprises the addition of a methyl group to the cytosine residue in the CpG dinucleotides, usually associated with the silencing of gene expression. Methylation patterns are important in normal development, while abnormal methylation is associated with diseases including cancer. For instance, the hypermethylation of tumor suppressor genes has been related to the inactivation of such genes in many kinds of cancers Esteller 2007.
Histone Modifications
DNA wraps around core histone proteins to form a nucleoprotein called chromatin, and changing the tail domains of the histones affects both the structure of chromatin and gene expression. Acetylation, methylation, phosphorylation, and sumoylation of histones affects the access of DNA to the transcriptional machinery. For example, in general, histone acetylation activates transcription whereas deacetylation causes silencing, Kouzarides 2007.
Non-coding RNAs: ncRNAs Non-coding RNAs, such as microRNAs (miRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), also play significant roles in gene regulation. miRNAs can degrade messenger RNA (mRNA) or inhibit translation, thus controlling gene expression post-transcriptionally. lncRNAs, on the other hand, regulate gene expression at various levels, including chromatin modification, transcription, and post-transcriptional processes (Rinn & Chang, 2012).
Critical Review: Epigenetic Changes Are of a Janus Nature Epigenetic modification is an indispensable component in physiological processes but turns out to be a double-edged sword since inappropriate epigenetic change gives rise to diseases like tumorigenesis, neurodegeneration, and autoimmune disease.
Epigenetic Therapies Epigenetic alterations, due to their reversible nature, represent very promising therapeutic targets. Therapeutic drugs like DNA methyltransferase inhibitors (for example, azacitidine) and histone deacetylase inhibitors (for example, vorinostat) are effective in the treatment of some cancers (Jones et al., 2016). However, the main challenges lie in guaranteeing specificity because broad epigenetic reprogramming leads to off-target effects.
Epigenetic and Environmental Influence The epigenome is very sensitive to nutrition, toxicants, and stresses. For example, prenatal exposure to malnutrition results in epigenetic modification, increasing the susceptibility to metabolic diseases later in life (Heijmans et al., 2008). Such sensitivities underline how understanding of epigenetic regulation involves lifestyle factors.
Conclusion:
Epigenetic modifications also play crucial roles in fine-tuning gene expression and the maintenance of cellular homeostasis. While allowing new possibilities of therapeutic intervention, especially in cancer, some problems remain to be investigated concerning specificity and also environmental impact. Further research will thus become necessary regarding the dynamic nature of the epigenome if specific and efficacious treatments are to be developed.

This doesn’t imply that you are weak or lack the necessary mental strength to stick with a plan. The strongest and best of us would be in the same situation you are in currently. You need all of your receptor sites to fight off those evil urges. When those receptor sites are back you will have the choice to choose those old things that used to bring you pleasure and satisfaction. Untill that happens you need take steps to safeguard yourself to fight off hypofrontality and the altered stress system.
Exercise regularly
This is the best advice I can give you. Exercise regularly for at least 1hour. The main point behind this is to get those happy hormones and make your body exhausted to such an extent that you don’t feel any urges. Exercise in evening after college ends. You can mix strength training along with aerobic training. Exercise your arms legs shoulder abs. You will be out of energy because of this intense exercises. So you won’t feel that urge to see porn. You must exercise everyday. Don’t stop yourself for at least one day. This is critical time for you.
Remove all access to pornography
You have invested years into this addiction so your hypofrontality severely limits your ability to stay away from porn addiction. Removing all access to porn is a right and quite important step towards defeating those evil urges. Your brain will tell you to keep this choice open because it is a hard step.
Some of you may need help from family, friends, and healthcare professionals. If You are thinking about professional help then go for it. Their help is valuable.
So you have to think strategically keeping in mind that this addiction is your enemy.
Think of your triggers. Is it all those porn videos on your device, those pictures of models you see on Pinterest, overconsumption of internet that brings those evil urges? Is it all photos on your device? Is it because of time you spend on your bed? Is it because of those hot webseries? Is it because of TV?
Write down those triggers on a sheet of paper you took before. Now what you can do?
Install pornnographic blocking software and apps. You will find nofap apps that can help you.
Delete all those porn videos, and photos of porn actresses and models on your device.
Limit your internet usage. Recharge your phone with the minimum package necessary keeping in mind that you will only use the device constructively.
Uninstall all .apk file of porn hub and other porn websites.
Donate your premium membership of all porn websites and apps
Make a rule to your mind “Bed is only for sleeping”
Limit interaction with TV or any friends that share porn videos with you.
Your children may be at risk of exposing themselves to pornography so install apps and software that monitor the internet’s use and record each keystroke and website they have visited. A simple Google search is sufficient for that.
Mental toughness
It may seem like a tough and drastic step but in 3-6 months you will regain your control then you can start increasing the usage of your internet. Remember if you are trying the steps I just mention for the first time then you will fail a few times. But don’t give up. Remember next is a new day. Start with renewed eagerness and hope. Don’t lie in bed and don’t try to be alone in your room.

The more social you become the more successful you become at this. Ask yourself “What do I want to become in life? ” Then start working towards it to make yourself busy.
Stress inoculation techniques
This technique is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I am giving this technique as a form to educate us. So the inoculation techniques help you manage deep muscle relaxation, cognitive restructuring, breathing exercises. First you have to identify personal risk factors that may be biological (lack of sleep, sickness, poor nutrition, low dopamine) psychological ( denial, rumination) social ( relationship problems) . Once you identify risk factors they will be mitigated.
