Being self indulgent and paying homage to Daddy Captain Yami after finally watching Sword of The Wizard King ⚔️
Now excuse me while I continue the series from where I left off (end of season 1 I think?) and probably even read the manga while slowly falling for more BC characters

Loved the scene of Eursulon decorating his shield, and a die roll like that deserves fan art. Since Brennan described the materials as a large variety of pigments in small amounts i tried to change color regularly.

At Ebooks Direct for Christmas...
JD 2455550.52 / December 20th, 2010:
It’s five days till Christmas, and the day before the Winter Solstice. The biggest pre-Christmas blizzard seen for decades is heading straight for the New York metropolitan area. But in one small corner of the Town of Hempstead on Long Island, everyone’s attention is on other business. That’s because there’s a party tonight at Juan and Marina Rodriguez’s house… and the guest of honor is a being from four hundred light years away who looks a whole lot like a Christmas tree.
How Lovely Are Thy Branches, a 35,000 word novelette, is a canonical work in the Young Wizards universe and takes place between the events of A Wizard of Mars and Games Wizards Play.
How Lovely Are Thy Branches is available as a standalone ebook at Ebooks Direct, in device-specific formats tailored for the Kindle, Nook and Kobo, for iBooks/Apple Books, and in a generic epub version. It also appears in the Amazon paperback and Kindle ebook versions of Interim Errantry.
CAUTION: contains alcohol, vintage and theoretically toxic Christmas tree lights, an epic binge-viewing sleepover, wizardly saurians who’ve shown up so they won’t miss spinning the dreidel... and just a small alien invasion.
Grab your copy now before Kit’s and Carmela’s mom’s cocoa runs out...!

im curious as to what has changed in my like, psychological makeup, that has made me less and less interested in Creating My Own Narrative Works. like, i like making art still but i tend to do more representational or one-off like, non-narrative pieces now. and im reading and watching movies and stuff more than ever but im distinctly less interested in transformative work than ive ever been. im not putting a value placement on one behavior or the other here, im just curious as to why donnie "five thousand notebooks full of ocs" sniffanimal suddenly doesn't particularly care about worldbuilding and developing my own characters <- guy who really aught to play a ttrpg soon enough

Are you still into oots? What du you think about the hc Roy having autism?
i am absolutely still into oots!! ive been following the comic closely but admittedly havent caught up with the fandom in a bit... love to every and all headcanons but i dont think my man roy is autistic (SAD.) personally, i love to headcanon him as Token "Normal" Guy surrounded by all sorts of queer people -- but to all who headcanon him as a very well adjusted autistic, RESPECT!!!

“Filif had slipped out of his ornaments again for a little while and was looming over this discussion with some confusion. But apparently the G force became too much for him. “It’s very nice as a physical-universe explanation,” Filif said, “but of course the methodology’s completely flawed.”
Dairine peered up at him. “What?”
“Well, since this is being is plainly one of the Powers, if a bit of an anarchic or chaotic one,” Filif said, “why are you trying to solve this problem inside a single dimension? It doesn’t work. A dimensionally transcendent being like one of the Powers would hardly limit itself to functioning in only three or four dimensions. The evidence clearly indicates someone working in six or better. See, the temporal element-“
…
“- but once you’re in the six-and-up, millions of apparent visits to physical reality per second is no great problem. It’s only inside the orthogonal plane of time that everything seems to be happening amazingly fast. But if you’re one of the Powers, there’s not the slightest rush. You slide sidewise into the applicable orthotemporal dimension, just that one, mind you, and then you drop off whatever playthings are required to make a drop. And then you pull out again and restock at your leisure, and then dip into that timeplane again. When you’re in D7 or thereabouts, the temporality of D3 and D4 is hardly an issue…”
“That’s it,” Ronan said, “he’s solved Santa. We have nothing left to live for.”

Thanks to @downtostars for introducing me to The Sleepy Bookshelf podcast! I'm listening to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for the first time. It's so good but I'm also nodding off but need to brush my teeth.
