Hello! Just wanted to say, I recently finished Jedi: Fallen Order and the game has been such a good experience that it’s making me want to write once more! Absolutely in love with Cal, especially the Inquisitor Cal Kestis concept and my mind has been bombarded with so many ideas lately. Enough to make a hefty draft, and your gorgeous videos only motivated me even further! I’ve been thinking either use an OC alongside Cal or make it reader insert, although the former would be easier for me, I’ll see. I’m hoping to make it a multi chapter story but who knows when it’ll actually be done. But yeah, just wanted to say thanks for sharing your creations, they are so beautiful and motivating!

Fallen Order is so good!! Having the Inquisitors as Cal's primary enemy throughout the game - representing the opposite of Cal but also what he could've become - works really well. Trilla being Cere's former padawan only adds to that tension (I do miss her though, I really do)

I've seen both OC and reader-insert stories floating around the JFO community so I think either could work? But all my respect to writers who tackle long-form, multi-chapter projects! It helps that there's a lot of directions you can go with Inquisitor Cal... in most of them he has a bad time but still, directions.

And cool to hear my videos can be part of your motivation :) Traitor Inquisitorius started as a way to test mods and whoops, this song fits really well and wait, how many cutscenes can be reshaped around this AU?? Makes me want to do another JFO video someday since it's way, way easier to film/mod compared to Survivor. But I'll probably need a break after TI Pt2 despite how many edit ideas I'm still sitting on AHH

The Cavalier is the hunter identity of Amadeus LeClair, The Inquisitor, who has appeared on @ask-idv-shepherd. He is a 28 year old man who was trained since childhood to serve his church's will no matter what. To this end, he has struck a deal with a demon and rides the revived carcass of his horse, Fae. Typically, he is cold and rigid, but for a select few, his soft spots may show through.

External Traits:

Baphomet's Mark - Marked by his deal, The Cavalier spreads the curse to his own benefit. Whenever he strikes a survivor, the gain Baphomet's Mark if they do not have it already. If The Cavalier is stummed by any means, the stun time is split among himself and those who are marked. Marked Survivors lose the curse when this effect takes place.

Shapeshift:

0> Trusty Steed - Revived to serve her master, Fae remains loyal even now. The Cavalier may summon his steed to grant himself a 20% buff to movement speed, vaulting speed and pallet breaking speed. Swinging at survivors will end the ride regardless of whether or not it lands.

1000> Lookout - The Cavalier can designate a patrol route for Fae to follow. If Fae spots a survivor within 30 meters, she will call for her master and reveal the survivors aura for 3 seconds. Fae will continue to patrol until the patrol time has ended or The Cavalier uses Trusty Steed.

2500> Loyalty - The buffs granted by Trusty Steed are increased to 30%

What's Lexlan?

Thank you so much for asking! I had wanted someone to ask, and when you did I felt paralysis because where to begin? Maybe I'll start with the simple definition and then invite more specific questions. Lexlan - n. ship name, portmanteau of Lex and Eilan, the OTP Eilan is my main OC. A Lavellan! I am writing an AU where she is not with Solas and is not the Inquisitor. She is with Lex, who is also a Lavellan and belongs to @bluewren. In this AU, Lex becomes the Inquisitor and Eilan joins the Inquisition out of loyalty to him (twist: she all but hates the Inquisition, is there for him and him only).

They are both mages, same age, and grew up together in Clan Lavellan. Eilan is more cerebral, artsy and a more multi-disciplined mage. She's hyper-analytical, often in her head, quick to doubt and hold back. She enjoys secrets. At first blush you might describe Lex as a himbo, but he's not dumb at all. Lex fights with a sword and his magic is more specialized. He is very physical, buff, approaches life simply and is earnest, charming, and a bit of cad when he wants to be.

can we get director’s commentary on Moonspell por favor?

ooooooh okay okay. tbh moonspell feels so long ago that I'm not sure I remember much of my thought process while writing, but let me make an attempt.

first of all: chapter titles. Usually when I write fics I don't bother with chapter titles ((((mostly because I don't often write multi-chapter fics but that's another thing altogether))))). For this fic, however, I wanted to use the lines of this one cool poem:

which influenced my final chapter count. I think I originally only planned to write three chapters but then I was like. well the poem has six lines. and I knew what I had to do. If you noticed, the second fic in the series depicting Ezra's monthly woes is also named after this poem.

You must know that the first chapter of the fic had me totally envisioning that diner scene from into the spiderverse. I wanted to immerse myself into the setting. backwater diner, at least a decade old or so, best burgers in town, etc. It's giving dark and quiet past the fluorescent lights and reflections in the glass. Kanan keeps seeing one of the inquisitor wolves in the flower bed over Ezra's shoulder and realizes that the kid is being stalked by Lothal's latest Problem People. Most of the plot from this fic was taken directly from the original imagine I wrote of the werewolf AU, which is in the first installment of the series and also floating around somewhere on my blog.

I really wanted to set the stage for future character dynamics. Really lay out the groundwork for plot development and Ghost Crew at large coming together slowly. Since the fic is written mostly from Ezra's perspective, most of the foreshadowing and allusions are vague and weird, because bro does not have context. Very subtle hints at what's going on, and I did do my best to write Ezra as someone honestly considering all the possible scenarios for these strange events with a perspective that does not include any supernatural influence whatsoever. wanted him to just be ??? the whole time.

It was really fun for me to write the dynamic between Kanan and Ezra. The two of them have nearly polar opposite experiences with lycanthropy. Kanan was raised in a massive pack, and Ezra has been on his own with his abilities hidden from him since before he could really remember. What seems obvious to Kanan would blow Ezra's mind. Kanan is the only person in a position to mentor Ezra, but he's also very resistant to this fact. He hasn't been living with Ghost Crew for the six years leading up to his first meeting with Ezra, since he and Hera split ways after the AU equivalent of A New Dawn, so bro is not a family man. He's just a tough charming bachelor lone wolf trying to mind his own business. Unfortunately, the plot loves him. Ezra on the other hand has grown up in foster care, assuming himself to be human on top of that. He's a nice enough kid, but he's a delinquent with a rap sheet at the local police department. He's been in and out of foster care for years. Most guardians get sick of him before long, and he expects Kanan to do the same, especially when Kanan doesn't even have an interest in starting a family.

All of these factors made for an understandable tension between them. I spent a lot of time trying to carefully tweak the dialogue and tonal descriptors so the readers could feel the friction early in their relationship but also be able to see their easy chemistry and how much they have in common.

I think I wrote the tire blow-out shortly after my own first experience having a tire explode while I was driving. Since the sounds and sensations at the time were not at all what I expected, my idiot shebs did not pull over for a solid mile and almost kriffed up the back axel. Luckily, Kanan's car flipped on its side and stopped him before he could make my mistake 👍rip ezra though he'd never been in a car wreck before. I like to think his thoughts on the matter were appropriate for someone of his age. Most amusing chapter in my opinion.

I really liked the chapter in the school cafeteria where Sabine complains about her family's hunt and warns her friends not to venture out on the night of the full moon. Admittedly, a lot of inspiration for this series came from Teen Wolf. I'm always one to appreciate a good highschool drama involving supernatural conspiracy (which doesn't turn out to be as deep or dramatic as the kids make it. think: adults and kids in the same town are living different genres of werewolf thriller). Part of that chapter was me trying to sketch out the mechanics of Sabine's hunter family operations, and again, Ezra's chronically-out-of-the-loop pov made that difficult. I also needed to establish Ezra's goon squad. He may play the part of the loner, but let's applaud this guy for having a solid four friends who could all do way better than him. Nixie is an OC I threw in there to fill up empty space. yes, I named her after my favorite mako mermaids character because I MISS her. anyways

Sabine being the popular girl punk sneaking weapons into school and putting her combat boots on the table scaring everyone including her closest friends has a very special place in my heart. Sabine deserved a dynamic high school experience okay my girl was SUFFERING at the Imperial Academy in canon I just know it.

Wanted to hype up the shift with a chapter of whump by putting Ezra through a mix of sensory overload and fever. headcanoning that moonspells do that to inexperienced werewolves. given again: Ezra's outside pov, the conversation between Zeb and Kanan is unsettling; not just because Ezra can hear it from two stories above them. I got a kick out of rubbing his obliviousness in. poor guy has been told nothing. that very specific vibe of mystery prior to main character enlightenment when everyone else seems to know what's going on was something I felt very appropriate to capitalize on.

On the flip side, when I got to Kanan's pov, I wanted to refrain from mentioning things in great detail because he already knows everything, and is instead only making vague references because none of this is nuanced to him. I think the only thing I really detailed from plot relevance for Kanan's pov was his relationship with Hera, which was important exposition to establish the high stakes in the scene (and lay some groundwork for their dynamic throughout the series). We got to emphasize more his attitude about the whole situation. again, Kanan does not want to be involved at all. Fortunately, a few pov chapters also highlight his sense of obligation. He's an unreliable narrator for insisting that he doesn't care when hopefully his actions show the opposite with an instinctual compassion and meticulousness. This version of Kanan is a lot more rough than the one Ezra meets in canon (mostly because he hasn't been living with Hera since he met her), and I wanted to reflect that with his attitude and behavior especially with the way he handles Ezra. I wanted all his softer moments to be fringe and allusive so I could spend future fics wearing him down.

Overall, the goal of this fic was to throw Ezra into the supernatural world with little explanation. Lots of setup for future shenanigans. world-building and slotting characters into their roles. cooking with a mildly funny but also weird unsettling vibe to go with Ezra's suspicions that he stumbled into a horror story. Kanan doesn't want to be the dad that stepped up he doesn't want to be a dad at all. betrayed by the narrative fr.

Thank you for the ask! I was actually just thinking about this series and it was fun to return to these musings for a bit. I forgot just how long this fic was until I needed to talk about what the kriff I was thinking.

33,030 which is almost double my count from a few months ago. Woaaaaaaaaahhhh

Still Assassin's Creed, now dipping into Baldur's Gate 3 as well.

Still occasionally poke away at the AC x Star Wars AU, but I'm not super invested in it right now. But I'm sure that will change as soon as a new Star Wars thing comes out. Since I last did this I also went digging through the depths of my writing folder and found a Walking Dead x MCU crossover that I must have started when I was like 14 years old. Absolute fucking horror show that I am so very thankful I never wrote enough to post. 🤡

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Still no, as far as I'm aware.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, except for yelling back and forth about ideas with friends. I would probably be open to it but also maybe not because I know I am extremely unreliable.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Saying "all-time" favourite feels a bit much, but as far as mental real estate and also just sheer number of words written, Leovor far surpasses any other ship I've been into. 🧍🏻‍♀️

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Since I did that ask game a few weeks ago, the Inquisitor Ahsoka/Rex starting a clone rebellion/post TCW AU has been on my mind. But I know that, realistically speaking, I'm unlikely to ever be invested enough to actually sit down and write it.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I'm trying to make a point to read more fiction and while it's possible that the few books I've read thus far lately just haven't been particularly good, it's certainly made me way more confident in my ability to write dialogue that feels like it would be spoken by real live humans and not aliens pretending to be humans. Similar deal with internal monologues. I'm convinced that none of these authors read their work aloud.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Still generally the same—overthinking comma usage, editing while I write and therefore being very slow, going back and forth between being stuck because I didn't plan enough and feeling stifled because I planned too much. Etc etc.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I try to avoid it as much as possible, with the exception being words or phrases that are used a lot in canon.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Still Marvel :(

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Honor Bound is still my baby, but I didn't expect to actually like A Different Kind of Solace as much as I do, mostly because I didn't really go into writing it expecting to hit the emotional notes that it does. Also still Out of the Cold. There are some banger lines there.

Thank you for making this gift for me! I know I will love whatever you come up with, but for those who like a little more guidance I have left many prompts in the signup and some general likes & dislikes here.

General Likes:  I really like UST and mutual pining, also the corny stuff like “fake married” or “bed sharing” or “arranged marriage” tropes. I LOVE Soulmate AUs more than anything else, I’m an absolute sucker for those. I also like the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers trope. I also really like cats, so if you give a character a cat, I will be happy

General dislikes: I love angst, but not really hurt/comfort. I love canon deviation and certain AUs, but I really don’t get into any AUs that change the setting for Dragon Age

DNW: any kind of abuse, bathroom kinks, bestiality, crossovers, humiliation, incest, modern AUs, mundane AUs, noncon/dubcon, omegaverse, pregnancy, PWP, second-person POV, underage, whump.

Fenris/Neve Gallus - All the joy of pairing Fenris with a mage, with less drama because she’s 100% with him on hunting down maleficars & helping Tevinter slaves. Also I have one word for you: Casefic.

I'm in my 30s, non-binary, and disabled. I move back and forth between fandoms often, I very clearly write fics with incest and dark themes, I don't generally post NSFW but may reblog some (but always tagged so it can be filtered). If any of this makes you uncomfortable, it's your responsibility not to follow me.

This is a multi-fandom personal blog that therefore sometimes has non-fandom topics (medical related posts, anti-bigotry posts, anti-capitalism posts, etc).

Sorry, I've been depressed as fuck these last few months and so slid into a much less dramatic hyperfixation for a bit and wasn't writing much/at all.

Reminder that fics not posted on here are not abandoned, they just aren't at the forefront of my mind right now. If a fic is truly and fully abandoned, I will actually mark it as such. I have updated multiple fics after years of not doing so before and will surely keep doing that.

Untitled DA2/DAI AU (working title "Mercy")

Cullen joins the Seekers after they remove Meredith from power, but finds out a horrible truth that has him running to the one place they can't reach: Tevinter, where the Imperial Divine, no stranger to Seekers, quickly "recruits" him. He thinks he'll be a novelty that quickly wears off, but is, of course, so very wrong. Will be Fenris/Cullen as main ship with some platonic Urian & Cullen and Dorian & Felix & Cullen.

Untitled DAI Time Travel AU

At the end of the world, the Inquisitor and his remaining allies made a desperate deal with Razikale who sent them back in time to try again. But the Old God of Mystery doesn't do anything in a straightforward way and the group find more about themselves changed than they thought possible. Most likely Inquisitor/Merrill and Solas/Cullen with some Hawke/Cullen for main ships.

Untitled DA2/No-DAI AU

Having never been warned about a possible Exalted March, Hawke comfortably (or, as comfortably as he could) took the position of Viscount of Kirkwall and set about rebuilding the city-state with his friends and allies as the world around them collapsed into war, ironically creating a symbol of stability. Main ships probably Hawke/Varric, Fenris/Cullen, and Bethany/Merrill. Past Hawke/Anders and Sebastian/Cullen.

Eowyn:

First impression: I was blown out as a child. Beside the look and the sleeves... Oh my god I remember the day I saw her, I wanted to be her so bad and dress like her and the JOY when she and Faramir, the other besties kissed! They were my first OTP and I remember I was so happy and started drawing stuff.

Impression now: Freaking epic. I reconsidered a little her crush over Aragorn as No lady YOU'RE A BABY LEAVE THE DILF ALONE. Still, she's one of the characters I like the most ever and the one I'll slam upon everyone uncautious enough to tell me to my face that Tolkien didn't know how to write women or was a maschilist. He was a man of his time, sure. Maschilist? No I don't think so. She's a complex character struggling with her place in the world and in a world that tries to define her. She is good and honourable... But still will carve her path with her bare hands if she must. And she did, and in the end did a lot, she fought to find the place she wanted and it paid off. Had Tolkien really been a maschilist, she wouldn't have slain the Witch King. In the end she chooses to settle down, yes, but on her own terms. At least, I read it like this. It's not staying because she's a woman and that's her place, it's staying because she tasted heroism, she did her part, the war is over and it still wasn't enough. But maybe finding people that understand her and don't try to tie her up... Maybe that's enough. "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose".

Favorite moment: "I am no man." Hands down the most epic moment in the saga can't beat that. Slay, girl.

Idea for a story: Seriously, ANYTHING with her. More of her relationship with Eomer and Theodred maybe? More Edoras pre-war and how Wormtongue crept his way in? I love Rohan as a concept so really anything with that I'll be down for.

Unpopular opinion: Is there an unpopular opinion of. I don't think there is, we're all Eowyn stans here are we. I'll maybe say that Eomer had an equal crush over Aragorn and BOTH of them were pining hard. ("Aragorn senpai look at me ridigin into battle! :D" cit. book!Eomer)(quoted as unpopular because I never saw it around that much)

Favorite relationship: *looks above* She and Faramir dealing with coping with failed expectations (their own or others') and finding softness together. Also every interactions she has with Theoden is gold, and her relationship with Merry is as well! Besties.

Favorite headcanon: This fic I read from @scyllas-revenge lives in my head rent free and it's just... The ultimate fluff.

Cassandra:

First impression: "Oh damn this dude got himself into serious troubles, I wouldn't go against that woman. Pretty tho.". I tried to romance her at first in Inquisition and was very sad when she turned Aisling down. (you can all mock her and her Templar kink, yes.)

Impression now: I love Cassandra and her flaws and contradictions. I love that she's basically made of granite, you won't move her with cannons... and yet, she's there, ready to think twice and change her mind accordingly. She's multi-faceted and honestly one of the funniest characters in Inquisition. I love strong women that have a soft side and she has definitely one.

Favorite moment: The cutscene in Trespasser. Years pass and yet she'll still be gullible to a good romance story told by her very favourite author.

Idea for a story: A modern AU where she is the one and only author writing in the Swords & Shields fandom. Varric reads every single one of her stories, at first it was to mock her and her inability to recognise a trash book, then he felt affectionate to this utter devotion. A Misery AU with her an Varric. (...thinking about it better, DA2 is really a Misery fantasy AU...) Beside that, something exploring the aftermath of her nasty comments over Elven religion if you bring her along in one specific mission. An elf inquisitor facing her on that and discussing it. I wrote part of this months ago oops.

Unpopular opinion: She'd make the worst Divine of the three and would suffer greatly in the role.

Favorite relationship: She and Varric. In any sauce and way and in tutti i luoghi e tutti i laghi.

Favorite headcanon: She's Varric and Hawke number 1 fangirl, she read the Tale of the Champion and begged to be sent to interrogate them. When she meets Hawke, she's internally screaming and won't wash the hand Hawke shook for the whole day.

537,646 *probably at least 400k of that is Daemyra

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Almost exclusively House of the Dragon/ASOIAF since HOTD s1 aired and Daemyra consumed my life.

5. Do you respond to comments?

I try to respond to all of them! Sometimes I get behind, but I usually get to them by the time I post a new chapter, at least.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Uhh probably i've looked at clouds from both sides now. Even though only one of the major characters dies, it somehow still feels angstier than the literal necrophilia fic where they both die.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I feel like most of my other fics have a happy ending? Both of the completed multi-chaps I linked above definitely do.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I occasionally get a rude comment, but I have no qualms about being a dick or just deleting/blocking. I have gotten a few tumblr anons that made me roll my eyes, but any hate I get has been firmly a THEM problem and not a ME problem. Haters stay pressed. 💅

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

It's a rare day when I do not write smut. I write all kinds. Since writing in the Daemyra fandom, my list of "hard no's" when it comes to writing has rapidly diminished; it seems like every other day I discover a new kink that makes my brain do a record-scratch. I started writing fic again in 2020, and published baby's first smut shortly thereafter, but it was fairly standard stuff. Now I'm like "well if you aren't literally digesting your lover, is it really romance??!"

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

The only crossover I've written is a House of the Dragon/Naked Attraction crackfic that infected my brain during the depths of binge of the latter show.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Only one that I know of - someone copy/pasted all of do you really feel alive without me into different chapters of their ""fic"".

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

for our blood is restless was translated into Russian here.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No. My writing process is chaotic and inconsistent and I would not inflict that on another writer. I'm also very particular about what I do and do not want to write, as well as my prose, so I don't think co-writing is for me. If we don't like to break the rules of English grammar in the exact same way, I'm afraid we won't be able to get along.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

I mean, I think it's pretty obvious. 😅 Daemon Targaryen/Rhaenyra Targaryen (House of the Dragon) has only been my OTP for <2 years, but they are already my all time favorite. Prior to that, it was Dramione (Harry Potter), Cullen Rutherford/Female Inquisitor (Dragon Age: Inquisition), and Aloy/Avad (Horizon Zero Dawn).

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Not technically a single WIP, but I always meant to add more stories to my collection of Cullen/Inquisitor Dragon Age fics (most of which I posted during Swoon June 2022). It's possible I'll experience another burst of inspo for that fandom when Dragon Age: Dreadwolf finally comes out, but I'm pretty firmly entrenched in Daemyra for the foreseeable future.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, characterization, ANGST. I think my smut is pretty hot. Idk I generally like everything about my writing. That's why I keep doing it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Uhhh anything to do with plotting or planning. We thrive on vibes here. ✌️

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Beyond the occasional word or phrase in High Valyrian for my HOTD/ASOIAF fics, I cannot be bothered. Italics and a dialogue tag do me just fine.

Harry Potter.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

This changes semi-regularly, but my current favorite is one that I'm actively writing - a Daemyra early marriage canon divergence (milk teeth). Also because I just re-read this the other night - surrender (a rare non-Daemyra HOTD fic).

Revenelan & Rosalind: Starting with probably the most obvious, my Inquisitor Trevelyan who would much rather not be doing what she is doing, tyvm. But Roz won't turn away help from anyone, really. (Except Templars. Because fuck Templars.)

Revenelan & Mei: Another somewhat obvious match, given that they are from the same fandom. Mei has a verse in which she's just a companion to the Warden and later becomes Inquisitor herself. So we could work with your main verse here or hash out an Origins AU, if you want to do something there! (Her feelings on Templars are very similar to Rosalind's.)

Revenelan & Tauriel: Tauriel has a Dragon Age AU where she ends up becoming an agent of the Inquisition while investigating the Breach on behalf of her clan. Or we could bounce around any ideas you might have for a LOTR verse and do that instead!

Revenelan & Julia: Another character who has a verse or two for Dragon Age. There is one I haven't written up where she's the Inquisitor, but her main DA verse has her as the Warden's companion. Eventually she does make her way to the Inquisition in that verse as well, though!

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

I’m pretty proud of the different AUs in rivers; I enjoy thinking through all the chain reactions that would have had to occur for a certain set of circumstances to be in place. I’m also really happy with how the world of my Hawke/Sebastian fic is coming together, although I still need to do a lot of work before it gets someplace I’d be happy publishing (and I am impatient). The Free Marches are such a good playground!! I like the idea that Ashna’s sister is Inquisitor in this world, even though it barely comes up lol. She recruits the templars as one major change, and I like the potential mirroring of a dynamic between the Hawkes and the Trevelyans. (The more I look at what I consume and write, I really like strange family dynamics lol!)

While I'm off-topic, wedding ceremonies. Real or fictional, I'll never get tired of learning about them, lol.

9. How do you find new fic to read?

I am a very picky reader at times, haha. I usually have an idea not so much of what specifically I want to read but what kind of mood I want to be in. Sometimes I know I want like a modern AU or a specific trope, or I might have Thoughts about one part of canon and want an AU specifically about that… (ME2 Horizon...) So usually I just go on AO3 to the fandom and filter characters/pairings and explore, sometimes with specific searches. For DA in particular I love the Black Emporium Exchange collections, the rarepairs are so good!

A lot of the fandoms I want to read for are smaller, so I'll just gradually work through everything that looks interesting haha. Really often, I’ll go to authors I enjoy and check out their bookmarks; because of this, I read fandom-blind a lot and have often gotten into fandoms after reading fic, which is always a fun time (This is how I got into Dragon Age, actually! And why I’ve read so much Mad Men fic for someone who has never seen Mad Men LOL)

30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?

I think I tried to stretch myself with a heart because I'd never written a continuous multi-chapter story before. Really, I took a risk with risky business; I’d never written for Zevran or Josephine before, and I was so nervous because I wanted to do it right and on a deadline. I don't know even now if I matched up to what I wanted, but with the deadline, I had to get it out there no matter what, and I couldn’t back out; that really helped. I think now when I write and I'm going over something over and over or delaying posting, I can ask myself: is it going to get any better with the skills I have, or is posting this and moving on to something else the way to grow?

Also, every time I write sex is pushing my comfort zone lol, I always post and think "oh ok, that's out there." Slowly trying to expand said zone.

49. What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it!

I’ve recently been sidetracked from all things Dragon Age, and have been bouncing between that Miranda/Shepard fic and this fic for a Hindi movie I watched a while back. (At this point, I'm getting distracted from distractions 😭) A few lines from the latter:

He thinks that as much as he wants to protect Akira, she is the one protecting him. From getting old and bitter and somehow from dying. Suddenly, he feels a hollowness inside him, the conspicuous lack of something. The lack of her body and her warmth pressed tight up against him. The lack of her voice and her incessant chatter. His life is very quiet without her. Figuratively speaking, which is another thing he doesn’t really do without her. This life is not conducive to metaphor.  Her pants were too big, that’s what he remembers. They lent her the extras they had, and if they were big on Krishnan, of course they’d be big on her. She had to cinch them up, and he hates the way he feels when he thinks about it.
