Also his mullet is relatable. Before I chopped my hair off I had a tangled ass mullet almost 24 7 because I physically hate brushing my hair. Now that my hair is shorter, its way more comfortable to brush and comb it

I know I have like a million incomplete series/stories rn but shhh I wanna talk about deaf!Stan Pines

-We all know he wasn't taking the best care of himself during his mullet years and he DEFINITELY wasn't taking himself to any hospitals when he got hurt

-Basically he gets a head injury, probably a Rico related scenario, and loses his hearing

-He has a period of Freaking the Fuck Out and becomes super paranoid, because Rico and Co are still on his tail and now he can't hear

-This is a good few years before the Portal Incident and maybe right after he gets out/breaks out of jail

-For a while, he's too proud to admit he's deaf, until he realizes that he can use it for sympathy points, and he does

-After a few weeks/months on his own without his hearing, he meets an older deaf homeless woman who teaches him ASL

-she probably dies because this is a Stan Pines au no one is allowed to be happy

-He gets the postcard and drives up to Gravity Falls, only to be immediately greeted with a crossbow to the face

-Ford starts going on his panicked ramblings about Bill and the portal and eyes and all that and it takes him a hot minute to realize that Stan hasn't said anything

-Meanwhile Stan is just kinda standing in the door waiting for Ford to turn around and he's just like *signing* dude I can't hear you

-And then they deal with Bill and Ford makes up with Fiddleford and the two of them make super high-tech hearing aids for Stan but also they learn ASL because hearing aids don't make someone not deaf and everyone is happy the end
