i thought their canon designs were a eensy weensy bit Unpolished so i made these mostly for myself. erm if u rly want it i think varian is 19 here, hugo 19, nuru 18, yong 12.

Hugos design i just wanted to put him in something more Loose. hes a thief, a professional escape artist. i dont think wearing clunky metal is ideal for him. i also gave him a prosthetic arm (blond w no arm design trope!) but u cant see it in the ref so i added another drawing of him in his under layering👍 i vaguely referenced russian(?) clothes for him as well... Yeah not too much changed w him i just tried to make him slippery-er. Here's Hugo's playlist

yong came relatively easy to me, if it wasn't obvious i did rip gaming from g*nshin's hoodie. i thought the lion hood was Adorable and freaking perfect for what i had in mind for hos character. since the og notes said the fire kingdom is loosely Chinese inspired i basically just kept that. i mashed tgt a buncha diff dynasties though sorry for how inconsistent i was... i think he looks Okay. anyways i changed yongs role a bit, ill explain why im adjusting some of their roles later but i kept yong as the Jinx Type character. hes the eldest in his family and has a buncha younger siblings, hes a lion dancer and does performances w his family/siblings. he rly like special effects n keeps tryna incorporate his fireworks into their performances (it flops and he has to sew up the dmg) ill explain more of yongs role in another post maybe shrugs... miss nuru was a bit of a struggle for me i might share my full design process with her coz i did a Bunch of mockups for her😭😭😭... i didnt have a specific country of reference for her but i chose to make her vaguely south asian inspired. i also really wanted to keep the sheer fabric w the star / constellation map. i love that idea its so cute so shes still technically the navigator. but she also wields a sword too, fencing or whatever. (her and varian r Huge Cass fangirls which is probably why she started tryna use a sword (snuck out to watch cass compete) Okay ill talk abt this later) in my head, okay ill Probably make a whole nother post talking abt how im interpreting/writing each chara, but in my head i think nuru is the youngest and her kingdom's archivist. shes mostly in charge of like Her kingdoms history / artifacts / etc. ok im getting too side tracked ill save the lore dump for later but thats Nurus role in the party. uhm below i made their character stats mostly to help me with planning / role developing. the yellow is their base stats the color behind is their end stats i guess. i was gonna explain my reasoning for their stats but ermm this post is kinda Really long so sorry😭... varian max int for obvious reasons, also max charisma just coz i feel like u kinda learn a thing or two being around a couple manipulators and spending time in jail idk shrugs... (also lets not forget the "ud b surprised what ppl would do for a cookie!") Hugo slippery guy, if a brick is thrown at him as hes running hes gonna try n run faster to shatter it, his mindset is Run Run Run! i think hes relatively agile too but yeah mostly a Speedster. i think he n varian got no Physical strength varian maybe just like A little coz Farm boy but I rly doubt quirin is making him do a Lotta heavy lifting. yong has incredible stamina and agility because hed a performer. nuru is the strongest coz this team would literally Flop without a proper Offense😭... i think varian n hugo r able to outwit plenty of their opponents but i think nuru is pretty good in a fight, same w yong. this is a REALLY good prompt and i could be here all fucking day discussing every aspect of it and also that i the studio that made it and thief 4 is NOT as bad as everyone thinks it is and they have every right to be proud of it but thats a massive tangent and i havent even started yet. i love thief. garrett i miss you every day. anyway.

the gotg game actually has my fav interpretations of most of the guardians too which surprised me. im assuming ud wanna mostly hear my thoughts on the story stuff anyway even tho i am umm. an action game snob and i have a lot to say abt that stuff too cz its just a fantastic game and it was on my radar long before i actually got into gotg coz the reviews were like 'yo this is a great action game' and im like oooooohhh wiggles my fingers. anyway.

ok this um. turned out really fucking long coz i got wrapped up talking abt magus meta stuff again so. grins. 3k words long. the magus stuff is past the spoiler break bt its. kind of tied to what i was talking abt w the game version so. shrugs

game mantis is BY FAR my fav version of her its like the perfect fusion of her comic appearances in early gotg and the movie version. i like the comic ver bt she can b a little overly serious and i think the shift to make her more light hearted and fun was a good one. like how they changed peter to be a music guy and a tad sillier. i think it fits. and while i do actually like her mcu version its also like. too silly. mcu forgets that shes also like actually very wise and in tune w emotions and how other ppl think, and also a badass martial artist. right. game mantis gets to be all of those things at once. also shoutout to her voice actor for doing an awesome job.

draxxx.... im honestly still not sure if i prefer alien drax or mr douglas drax. if moondragon is around then i def want mr douglas. bt if shes not then its like... no harm done...? not much to say here other than that i do love tht everyone indulges him. thats like the big thing abt the game for me. the banter is sooo good, they playfully rib each other like friends do but u can tell they genuinely care abt each other just from the way theyre willing to go along w each others weird habits or unfamiliar culture stuff. so from that angle i rly like how they did drax, and his talk w peter in knowhere... ToT a problem w drax is also that i think too many things treat him as a joke to be laughed at for being weird and the game neatly sidesteps that by giving u both but making it clear that hes still a character w depth.

i have no big thoughts on rocket honestly aside from that i dont like the little goatee thing bt im also not a huge rocket fan so my opinion is worth little here lol. i liked him. fr me my big rocket things r like. his relationship w peter and groot and i loved both of those so i have zero complaints. the ongoing 'my ship' thing w peter was so well done compared to when its done in the comics LOL.

groot i just liked a lot its also my fav version of groot i think cz its so obvious how kind and sweet he is. bt so much of groot is like. dependent on rocket to help translate. that SAIDDD i love the convo sm later on when rocket+groot+mantis were all talking together and peter had no idea wht they were laughing at. wish there was a lil more of that bt theres soooooo much dialogue in the game already tht asking for more is so unfair. bt more mantis+groot would be cute. my fav groot is the one whos sooooo sweet bt also says slurs and has rocket being like YOU CANT BE SAYING THAT BUDDY. anyway ik a big part of him is also in the voice acting cz its like the Tone of how he says stuff since u cant understand him and i think the voice actor did soooo good at that. and then the little bits of physical acting too like when hes messing w the controls. i cant say too much coz u havent finished it yet ToT

gamora is where i have some issues bt its mostly coz im married to her old look+personality and dont like the newer depictions as much. in the game she comes off as rly young esp w the dyed hair and it doesnt rly fit my own view of her? as a more mature woman. one tht knows how to have fun and has a confidence tht comes with experience and doesnt rly get embarrassed abt herself or anything. so this gamora is just. different. i dont think its bad bt it doesnt mesh w my own view i guess. despite not being a huge gamora fan i have a lot of thoughts abt her esp w the way it crosses over w the magus stuff. shes a very inch resting char... i wanted to do my own outfit design fr her too bt never got around to it... coz thats my other gripe w game gamora. her outfit is so boring... ik its based on a comic look cz i read that run but i didnt like it there either. i feel like they can never decide on a good look for her at all. they either want her sexed up or not at all to the point that the outfits lose all sense of personality or flair and are just. overly practical and boring. which doesnt fit the her thats confident and likes playing w ppl. so yea. shrug on that one. as an isolated thing i like her but compared to everything else shes ever been, not so much. basically.

i actually wrote the rest of this totally forgetting to talk abt peter. i dont know what to say. abt myself for that. peter quill. i like him. u may have noticed i draw him in his game outfit like a Lot and its bcoz i ADOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE it. SOOOO CUTE. i also like his game guns the best! the white+grey+pink just looks soooo good. hes soooo sillycute in the game i luv himmmmmmmm. bt honestly game peter is a lot like other interpretations of him! not a whole lot to say. peter kind of has a pretty locked in characterisation by now right. this is still one of my absolute fav versions tho in design and personality. i think hes had better hair bt the outfit. chef kiss. and im always a sucker for a more immature peter, like the cartoon version too tho that can take it a little too far sometimes bt it meshes well w the baby adam so idm too much bt thats a whole tangent again. peter is good coz hes stupid immature loser idiot but he Cares so genuinely and so much and always tries to do the right thing and it rly rly rly rly shows in this. even when he knows he cant rly affect much or do a whole lot. its abt the Trying. i cant say more coz of spoilers but my god does it show. they did him well. ADAM WARLOCK GUY OF ALL TIME I LOVE YOU. ONE OF MY FAV INTERPRETATIONS OF MAGUS. WE'RE IN THE FUCKING MONEY.

this version of adam is interesting cz hes not usually depicted as like. old and tired already. since he comes out of his cocoon all shiny new. which i love. btw. i cannot lie to u i Love the versions where hes a baby or just forgets everything and has to relearn, its rly endearing. i wish more stuff Did something with it other than the cartoon. bt anyway. tangent.

i love his cocoon in the game i wish u got to see the inside better lol. its like a little house... and so goopy... its just funny cz the game version seems truer to the comics than any other interpretation of him. bt it also feels so different? i like it a lot either way bt its Interesting to me. and im not sure how to word why. in fact i am not sure what else to add hdsfjknsd. other than that i actually dont like his outfit just coz its the same problem as the mcu one as well where its too overly complex and a muddy mess of colours. the game outfit is WAY better than whatever tf the mcu did but its still like. the same concept. too much detail and not enough broad strokes? idk how to word it. like if u take out the tiny details its just sort of. nothingburger. also no lightning symbol stuff anywhere :(

bt ya i love the way he talks and i love what little stuff he got with peter and god i wish there was MORE its so unfair that whenever adam gets to be in gotg stuff hes always just there at the end and never gets to BE with the guardians outside of gotg v2/2008 comic. and the cartoon. bt even then. and it sucks that we wont get a sequel coz that studio is in hell rn! smiles painfully. i wanted to see him bicker abt nothing w peter more... or how theyd actually become friends...

bt the most i have to say here is obvi abt magus and magus+warlock as a duo. which isssss that ok so i have a Thing where i dont generally rly like magus as an actual alt personality? i like it when hes future adam. coz thats The Point. that adam can be the warlock or the magus and all that changes is a. an internal philosophy. or a worldview. they ARE the same person. theyre not separate people. bt if its done well and theyre still intertwined enough i think i can like it the other way too? coz the point is that they could be each other, right. so warlock has the capacity for everything the magus does. the magus has the capacity for everything the warlock does. there isnt a major dividing line between them. i like how the game does it literally because of the ONE bit adam has where he admits that he misses magus. doesnt feel complete or right without it being there. after peter says 'well ur mostly fine without magus now right and u were with it for ages' and adam basically says 'well i feel empty inside and like im missing something huge and i miss it being there but yeah i guess im "mostly fine"'. i WISH we saw warlock+magus interacting properly, like wht is the actual nature of their relationship. they rly dont go into that stuff at all. so i cant rly say much aside from like 'what ifs' and stuff, u know. i wish we saw more... sigh. but i adore magus' design in it and how they tie it to adams original motifs of. well. metamorphosis. adam is a moth caterpillar. so i love that they make magus look like one too! fluffy fuzzy little caterpillar. and just like a caterpillar, its always hungry. and u cannot blame a caterpillar for being hungry, its trying to grow. bah. tangent. bt who cares. i wanted that. an adam that didnt Hate magus, knows it had to be controlled and kept in line bt not one that hated it. if adam missed it, then they mustve had Some kind of relationship. almost all of magus' problems come from wanting recognition and to exist on its own and i think the game had a setup that couldve allowed for that eventually... i want an adam that understands tht magus is a necessary evil and they can work together. "where else could i go, who else could i love but you?" - line that infects anyone who does the dark knight quests in ffxiv but a lot of ppl ignore the fact that this is specifically talking abt another aspect of urself. its abt self love. i want that for warlock and magus. warlock hates himself soooo much and he hates all of his selves and everything he used to be, bt that makes him so unhappy. he needs to learn to accept himself. and magus is a literal representation of all those things. sitting there WANTING to be loved. sigh. thats a big tangent and i have actual comic stuff in case anyone wants proof and u know what why am i stopping myself. here they are

this one could be up for debate on whether reborn magus is the 'same' as the old one but has warlock ever had that concession? not rly so i dont wanna say its different here either. this is a nature vs nurture thing that i also have some shit to say abt bt if im allowing myself ONE huge tangent here i wont go off on another one in the middle of it. actually fuck that i do what i want. and its relevant. coz there is one difference. and thats the actual original magus from the warlock comics by starlin, so actual future self adam. and then the one that spawned when warlock had the infinity gauntlet and he expelled all good and evil from himself, which is when magus became a separate entity entirely. bt also the thing in gotg v2 where he uses a discarded alt timeline that wasnt meant to happen and THAT was the one where he turns into magus so technically the reborn magus is made from the real first one that got deleted?? man idfk. i think there is a degree of separation from the two just coz its like. i dont think we know if the expelled magus experienced w. ok. im gonna call them magus1 (future adam) and magus2 (expelled evil) ok. we dont know if magus2 has the memories of magus1 or any of the actual lived experience because warlock of the main timeline DID NOT turn into magus. magus1 isnt from 616 or whatever. hes an alt version. magus2 should technically be the 616 version. i think. so magus2 could have been that mad simply out of principle of it, which is based and true and totally fair. anyway tangent over sorta. reborn child magus is magus3 and idfk which magus hes technically reincarnating from, probably magus1 since its the timeline that was destroyed tht adam brought back. REGARDLESS. WE'RE GETTING DEEP INTO THE WEEDS HERE.

i started making my own playlists for the husbands recently

i even made one titled 'group of the two of us' but i barely started on that yet

and i think, looking at the songs i had added to aziraphale's playlist and then at the songs i added to crowley's, ppl would get confused on why it is the way it is. (if anyone's even listening to them?? no matter, i really just wanted to write this down hehe)

but here are my rationale(?) for:

- Burdened by both his love and his job, and yet he still did not want to leave. I think most people forget that though Aziraphale knows that Heaven is bad, he does not want to severe his ties with God. He is perfectly fine and happy(!!) with this fine line he's toeing—he does good, and does gray stuff in the name of Good, and God leaves her alone. (remember in gomens, there's thematic difference between good and Good)

A lot of the songs I included have themes of "longing to stay, but pulled away" and/or "i'm still here/there" because i want to also remind ppl that Aziraphale does not like to run away. He tends to dive deep into the things she's set her mind to. The investigation, the love between Nina and Maggie, Armageddon—their life with Crowley!! She did not want to run away, and especially they did not wish for Crowley to turn away from them. She was extending a hand because she's willing to do so, and because she's ready to dive into whatever shit awaits them.

So in that moment, it's not because Aziraphale wants Heaven, or Aziraphale yearns for Heaven—Aziraphale wants to continue their present into the future, whatever that should've been at that time.

There's a subtheme of being wrecked, and being burned out from giving your all, and just wanting to be loved for what one thinks is left of them.

The both of them is burdened by their love, because their separate sides does not condone such relations and all that. but the thing with crowley is that he's also burdened by choice. this might be subtle, but in terms of their relationship, crowley is the one to make choices. but not because he's the one in charge, he's more like the one that stirs the ship in order to match the waves' (aziraphale's) pace and direction.

Aziraphale, more often than not, gives Crowley the decision on what to do. People might misinterpret this and retaliate with "no, Aziraphale is the one that determined how fast they were to go and what their boundaries are," but Crowley is still the one burdened by the choice to follow through with them IN ORDER FOR THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO STILL CONTINUE BEING. is this making sense.

for crowley's playlist, there's the theme of loving too much and giving too much. again, based on the title of the playlist, this is crowley's POV. separate from aziraphale's, and certainly does not paint their entire relationship. i wanted to paint his love as something that he was entirely ready to give to aziraphale, but the main conflict is that there's no where to put it yet. not with crowley—he's about to burst containing all this love; not with aziraphale—he's already filled to the brim and mix of all sorts of things. so there's this feeling that his love is too much (overwhelming, a waste, fizzling out, dripping down the drain—) and he does not know what to do with it.

slight disclaimer: these are all *my* interpretations of the characters. do i care if its accurate? a little bit HWHAHSHA most of this is up for poetic interprations anyways so 🤷 i did not twist their main characteristics and thats all that matters : )

++ a lot of songs actually overlap/repeat between the playlists—happens when the characters are too compatible and are the two sides of the same coin, u understand 🫶

I feel like people misinterpret 03 Raph and Mikey like Raph isn’t just the angry dumb brute and Mikey isn’t just the clown.

oh yeah, 100%, and with 03 which has so many great character-centered episodes too!!!

It suprises me how many ppl reduce characters - especially when they dont reduce all characters equally but say reduce one to big the other up (does that make sense? Like i see a lot of people love Donnie so they gotta bash Raph or vice versa for some reason, not just with 03 but with all the itterations rlly)

I like how 03!Raph has clear flaws, sure, but he works hard on them, especially his anger issues where he kinda would be justified for blowing up and getting angry with how many of the issues they go through escalate to life-threatning situations, but he always does really well in keeping a cool head. Overall there are so many points where he is thoughtful, he's such a sweet person

doesnt 03!raph actively chose to flee rather than fight humans at some points? like he could have fought and won but he didn't want to hurt humans who are effectively defensless against him. Raph is also really good with kids and of course Mrs Morrison - who could forget - like there are several episodes centering on how gentle he is with the civillians he interacts with.

i love so much how 03!Mikey is so chaotic and sometime rlly mean, like he has a lot of lines that are just kinda mean despite how thoughtful he is sometimes, which just shows me his immaturety, which i love to see in a canonically teenage character, cause the 03 turtles are so mature most of the time sometimes u forget theyre 15.

He enjoys his pranks, which is a trademark for Mikeys rlly, and he likes to annoy his brothers like any sibling would, but also, I think from a writer's perspective, you kinda need a character like Mikey in the group to lighten up the show - without Mikey there to brighten the mood, the sense of humour isnt a sign of immatureyu but an essential part of balancing the relationships between the siblings - their tendencies to argue and be too serious. Mikey makes the bad days bareable for his brothers, and that along with his being rather astute at reading his siblings (like his comments about Leo working hard and being responsible so the rest of them dont have to be), i think that the brothers very much value Mikey's humour.

03!Mikey is also rlly forgiving and understanding of a lot of situations, for example in season 1 when Raph nearly hit him way too hard out of anger, Mikey is just worried for Raph not angry at all that he nearly got hurt - i like to attribute that a lot to the amount of trust Mikey has in his bros to not hurt him as well as how Mikey understands that everyone has their own perspective to things - like if someone shoves into u on the street while some people might be annoyed that the person didn't say sorry, Mikey would probs shrug it off as that person being in a rush or just having a bad day - which speaks miles to his emotional maturity.

Also insert here: one of Raph's happiest memories being shoving Mikey's head into his birthday cake (from that one brainwashing episode)

03 Splinter did so well raising all his kids - Raph and Mikey included, theyre all just such lovely ppl and so mature for their age.

if i were gonna describe mikey and raph in one word, it would be "passionate" for Raph and "carefree" for Mikey.

They are also goobers tho; this is the duality of turtle.

Ok, as much as I love the marauders (particularly sirius), i ve realised tht i kinda like the DE gang much better. It's not about their morality (they're not real so who cares), it's just tht they're so much more interesting as they're mostly the ones tht stir up the plot the most

Lucius, Bellatrix, Regulus, Barty Crouch jr, Severus (yes i m including him), and Peter r some of the most interesting side characters in the series. They're also much smarter and more skilled than the ppl in the order

Lucius is politically smart (saving himself from jail twice, the whole thing with the diary- getting rid of muggleborns and framing and discrediting the family of the guy threatening his possessions and image in one move, bribing the minister for magic etc), Bellatrix was fucking unhinged and lethal, Regulus was incredibly intelligent (being the first one in the entire series to figure out voldemort's secret), bcj was extraordinarily clever and cunning(and arguably the best villian in the series- also also he brought down his father's entire career at 18/19 lol), Peter was also cunning and resourceful in his own way (ppl also forget tht he'd been passing info to voldemort for an entire yr), and Severus was a fucking double agent, he was literally all of the above

Lyk u hv to hand it to him, voldemort did a good fucking job of collecting the most intelligent ppl in the entire series. Also this group of 20 or so core DEs effectively destabilized the whole of wizarding Britain not once but twice... while they capitalised on things like spreading fear, pre-existing divisions, the imperious curse, etc etc, this isn't a task u could hv accomplished with incompetent ppl. They would hv won the war both times if it wasn't for ✨mother love✨. Lyk they would hv definitely won if it weren't for all the plot conveniences. Sure, these ppl were pathetic in their own unique ways (it's called character work 🤌), but they were also bloody genius

And this is also y i hate the whole Slytherin skittles thing with a passion, these ppl were unhinged and cunning and intelligent and bigoted, not uwu troubled, wronged emo babies

These hcs are in regards to my AU/interpretation of creepypasta characters/the Slendermansion

-Toby is 19 in my version, and he became an official proxy at around 17.

-Physically, he’s around 17-18 as proxies at some point stop aging. That’s also why he’s grown out whatever facial hair he has cause he has a complex about looking young, and he’s kinda baby faced as it is.

-He has some scars remaining from the car crash, but he’s gotten a lot more all over his body as he gets himself needlessly hurt. He knows that if he gets hits in certain parts of his body, it’s fatal and tries to avoid that as much as he can, but when it comes to the rest of him, he doesn’t really care

-Besides that, he ran solo and was mainly left to his own devices for until he was about 19 He didn’t really do much for those couple of months, just trying to work through his problems (by un aliving people)

-He would stalk various families mainly and would target parents that reminded him of his father. Sometimes, he would also find kids that reminded him of his older bullies, so he would go after them as well

-The Slenderman only ever interfered if Toby got too close to getting caught by law enforcement, but this was early on and Toby eventually got better at getting away on his own.

-Toby first moved into the mansion when he just turned 19. The Slenderman told him that he would eventually get a partner and a proper mission, but didn’t tell him exactly when

-For now, Toby had a nice place to stay with all the essentials, but he wouldn’t always stay there, only stopping by if he needed a shower, or to wash his clothes

-He would also go if he realized that he hadn’t eaten in a few days and decided that he probably should have some food

-And whenever he did stay, he left the place a mess, just cause he wasn’t used to having a place to himself, and he didn’t really mind living in filth

-He also didn’t stay just cause it reminded him that he was lonely-there were so many rooms so he knew other people were supposed to be staying there, but it felt like the Slenderman just dumped him there. He won’t say it out loud but he likes being with people, it at least keeps him distracted by his own thoughts

-his thoughts are mainly on his mom and Lyra.

-In terms of his mom, while he would wish that she had done more to protect him and his sister, he would sometimes wonder how she was doing-did she see him on the news? where was she? even after what he did, did she miss him?

-He knows he’s not supposed to be thinking about her, and sometimes if the Slenderman catches him thinking about his mom, he’ll reward him with just static in his brain and sickness, but that doesn’t really stop Toby

-The Slenderman also was able to eliminate Lyra from Toby’s nightmares to keep him focused, but that just led to him thinking about her more when he’s awake cause he still never got a chance to grieve and get over her death

-While his hatchets are his main weapon, he is a bit of an arsonist-it’s not his main mode of killing but he will light something up after he’d gone out on his own

-He’s not an expert tho so it’ll either spread to the surrounding locations or go out once he’s left-no in between

-while i draw him with just his ears pierced, he’ll probably give himself other piercings, and try to convince the other proxies to get piercings as well

-He’ll try to do them tho so he’ll like twitch around every once in a while going “trust me bro this isn’t gonna hurt at all”

-speaking of which, his tics consist of him neck cracking to the side, cracking/pushing down his pointer finger with his thumb on his left hand, putting on the middle finger on his left hand, making popping noises, clicking his tongue, saying “beep beep,” “get fucked” and “oh, no!”

-Toby did have pretty severe Tourrette’s, but the Slenderman’s influence has made it worse, causing him to tic more frequently, and almost non stop if he ever gets hit with the sickness

-the only thing he has from his home is an older picture of him and lyra-he used to keep it in the kitchen but once more people started to move into the mansion he’s kept it in the bottom of a drawer in his room

-loves his baggy comfy clothes-big sweaters, hoodies, baggy jeans and sweats

-also loves breakfasts foods

-Toby picked up some interests and hobbies from his sister, mainly music and soccer

-Toby doesn’t really play soccer, but when he was living on his own he would put women’s soccer on the tv, as Lyra would watch it a bunch when she was alive

-He also knows how to play a bit of the drums-he’s not a pro but he knows the basics and he knows some guitar chords that his sister taught him

-She was really good with the guitar and they would joke about starting a band with some of her friends

-While Toby will joke about drinking, he’s never touched the stuff, and he feels uncomfortable whenever he’s around people who are obviously drunk

I do think that he genuinely does have these traits. I mean, to those who know him and have fallen for his tricks, it is believable to them to a certain extent. There has to be some truth to it. There’s a thin line between his deceit, and his true nature. One of my favorite Loki quotes:

Loki: “Precisely.”

Oh yeah he’s very sarcastic. Without a doubt. Even when being threatened by the Other, he is sarcastic lol. That is something that will never leave him. During Illusions, or the most vulnerable moments of his life.

I think that once he’s warmed up to someone, he will be a little less aloof and a bit more expressive. Though, not by much. Not series level. I still see him as genuinely being more reserved. I don’t see it as just a part of his facade. Oh he’s pretentious to his core. That doesn’t change.

I do not see him as being very hyper or heavily expressive in the same way it’s been represented in the series when he got “comfortable” around Mobius and Sylvie. I do think he genuinely is a bit cold and reserved, even when he does warm up to someone. But at the same time… he’s very playful it’s just not very loud. Ahhhhh. Loki is very expressive in ways, but it’s just… DIFFERENT!!!

Loki definitely was overshadowed by Thor, but he was still of a high status and was also very cunning/charming. Most people probably thought that Loki was emo and weird af, but then you had people who were intrigued by it, and intrigued by his intelligence.

I see that as he slept around a few times, not many, but is a very quick learner. He got the hang of it quickly, and is also quite in touch with what makes himself feel good. He can read people very, very well. So I think he takes advantage of his intelligence, and uses that in bed in ways. He’s alluring in that manner. He reads people, and understands what they desire from him. Loki understands body language. He knows how to disguise his own, and he knows how to read other’s.

Not that you said anything about this but i now have a chance to talk about it hehe. I think he likes pleasuring other people. It’s a bit of an ego boost for him. He has that authority over them, and he could easily take it away. He likes having control. Maybe sex is an outlet for him in ways. It makes him feel useful. The dialogue in the tweet "you are a good girl, how did that happen" itself is very cryptic. Her family which was there yet not mentioned in the story at all. The fact that both were betrayed by themselves (sofia by pushing rafe with hollis and rafe by being a bitch *YES HE IS A BITCH* and shit talking about a person who will literally give up everything for her love by saying she's a pogue behind her back) are insane parallels.

I know KNOW that drew is going to insane levels of fame and heights in acting AS HE FUCKING SHOULD but i would love a small spinoff movie abt how rafe and sofia met. The fact that they didn't even showed how they met yet throwing a proposal (WHICH I AM A OK WITH BTW, it was my favourite scene of the ENTIRE SERIES LEMME TELL U) makes "rafe" fans really weirded out and I kinda agree with them. But I say that it's the writers fault.

Drew and fiona, again and again I will say HAVE INSANE CHEMISTRY. I hate that their dynamics I'd not explored more. Rafe is very very intense and complex and the relationship between a very soft spoken normal girl and a borderline psycho murderer has so much more potential than just being a filler storyline. Rafe has been not loved truly by anyone in his life and the fact that sofia loves him truly even with the amount of minimal screentime shows that these actors are not to be made uses in scarcity

Weirdly with jjs death rafe will probably become one of the centers of the story arc butt again they will be going to Lisbon I don't know how sofia and rafes relationship will be explored. But I know that this is not the end of rofia. I hope to god thar they end up together and we see a montage of them getting married and having kids.

Butt there lies the entire shoupe deal too so im also scared abt that. But I have started praying and there's a year left so atp we can only hope that rafe and sofia end up together.

Hello! Just finished PS. I cannot praise you enough. Its easily the best thing ive read this year, and my resolution was to read multiple books a month. You surpass ALL OF THEM!

Saw ur authors note at the end abt an original queer vamp novel- is there anymore info yet? Im sure you've got ppl begging already but id truly love to beta when the time comes- or be first in line to preorder.

I feel like i read this at exactly the right time of my life.

The story was so painful yet rewarding bc i see so much of myself in Tyrus. Astarion and Tyrus truly feel like two different exstensions of my healing self. I wont go into it, but im a survivor to. Like tyrus, it happened when i was a young. Seeing his transformation throughout his decade of enslavement, his hatred towards himslef and the world, all bc of one man hit home. I kept telling myself that if it didnt have a happy ending id have to burn my phone or smthn lol. Seeing Astarion amd Tyrus not just defeat Cazador, but do it together, do it solely through their love of one another, broke me. The power of love, hope, and goodness. I havent cried over a fanfic since middle school. Im in my 20s now. I adored the final 2 chapters of the aftermath- im so grateful we got to meet his sister! And with Halsin, no less!

Im so thrilled you'll be adding oneshots and other stories to the universe. Tyrus is so real, so alive, id hate to see him contained in one story.

I love how Tyrus, ultimately, changeed. He didnt change into a monster like he feared, but what happened to him did changed him. Thats not a bad thing, tho. He's still Tyrus, simply a new version. And im still me, simply a new version.

I dont know if ill ever be able to reread, even skimming over the rougher parts was hard, but im so grateful i was able to see Tyrus and Astarion's journey. All of their triumphs felt like mine, all of their failures. Their never wavering love and trust in one another, that they understood it was Cazador that made them do those bad things. Ur right, pain and love must be intertwined, which is why this fic was so amazing. The highs would have never felt so spectaular without the lowest of lows.

Speaking of, yes, since you ask I do have a little more to say now on my original story. I took a small writing break for a week or so but have now jumped back into the saddle for the next adventure! Lots of plotting, character creation, worldbuilding, and research happening right now.

Reuben, our first main POV, is almost fully fleshed out as a character and I’m so excited for you all to meet him (he’s an eloquence bard, for starters)!! The first book/part is almost fully outlined and I’ve written the first few pages. I’m really starting to get inspired by where the storyline is going.

Back to PS though—I’m so glad you felt seen with Tyrus’s character. He did inevitably change, but by the end he is (mostly) at peace with that and can still forge a good life and happy relationships. Meeting Cynda again was that last little piece of hope he needed to believe it 🥹

Haha the light does always seem brighter when you’re stuck in pitch darkness! On the other hand, it’s something Tyrus only thinks once, but I would argue love is not intertwined with pain more than anything else. Pain is just an inevitability. No matter what you do, you will experience discomfort, sorrow, loss, physical suffering (see Cazador, with absolutely zero love in his life). While love is not inevitable, it’s a choice. Love is a gift we choose to give and to receive in the midst of inevitable suffering and that is why it is so precious. Having that perspective has really helped me heal and have more hope for the future 🩵

This thing has consumed my soul for the last 8 months so I love the chance to hear from/converse with people especially now that the full story is posted and all is revealed. it's just. gosh. for as much as i talk abt bravern being unhinged the fact of the matter is that it is actually SO restrained. ESPECIALLY for something in a medium that is already a little self-indulgent and referential. like for all of bravern himself's clear love for mecha there have been so few explicit references to other shows? and then this ep had so fucking many - ttgl (which - fucking hilarious to use it against a character KONISHI is voicing and then have that DD be fucking useless except for wanting to see some cool fights LSKDJFH) and flcl and symmetrical docking and rider kick and jeeg and gundam and the fuckin uhhhhhhhh exkaiser i think but i dont remember for sure its the same one that showed up in the earlier fight w superbia too. like w the other mecha on the roof framing. and probably about thirty more that i'm for sure missing or not recognizing or forgetting ON TOP OF all the obari posing and punching which have been sneaking into the visuals before this - but it was all for the purpose of having us watch this hype battle and get all excited to make the ending hit THAT much harder. and holding off the first gattai until episode NINE???? the thing we're all expecting to happen at any fucking moment, because there was no way that the souls of isami and bravern could've combined and actually resonated for a true gattai until that point????? like it's ALL in service of the story rather than wow cool robot even tho it IS a pretty damn cool robot. this show makes me feel like i did my homework and i'm acing the test AND I HAVENT EVEN WATCHED THAT MUCH MECHA TBH. LMFAO. all the "who is this show even FOR (eyeroll emoji)" comments back in like ep2 get funnier every week bc bravern knows its audience like the back of its hand and it gets clearer and clearer every week that its execution is fucking razor sharp. this show is SO SUCKING GOOD and I LOVE IT. that was supposed to say fucking good but sucking works too

(this is probably specific to genshin/hyv) but i Reaaaaally don't like it when fandom infantilizes characters that use the teenage model. like, there is such a thing as short adults! (me. i am one of them!) one time i saw someone say that lynette was probably a year younger than lyney and i was confused bcs aren't they twins??? like, are we forgetting that lynette was the primary "errand-goer" for the house of hearth upon getting her vision? girlie's probably seen more shit than lyney did.

^^semi-related to infantilizing characters, i dont like how some obm fics treat luke as a literal toddler. like, yes he's immature but he's got a good head on his shoulders and even if he's a low-ranked angel he probably has sm powers that he can make use of to protect MC. and i esp see how he gets left out even in gen/platonic fics and hcs. smtimes i feel compelled to look at the game's shitty pop quiz events for fanfic fuel (i mean, the luke tag has more ppl saying not to sexualize him than actual writing and that bugs me ://)

There used to be this really good obm fanfic (Nightmare by StarsEncrusted) and it had a plot point of helping luke get his wings, but it++the author's orig account got deleted from ao3. thankfully some fans had the foresight to archive it, so heres a wayback link to the fic and the accompanying side stories

i guess to expound more on my aversion to marriage in fanfic, it icks me when the characterization stops feeling like the characters themselves and the fic starts feeling heteronormative (also sometimes the writing comes across as if the marriage/childbirth "fixes" all those issues, which, it doesn't) and, well, i already kind of deal with the idea of "getting settled down" shoved in my face. it's really not for me. but i do understand why it's comforting to people, smtimes i can indulge in reading in it. but on a bad day, nah, i can't.

anyway, also special shout out to chat fics, they can be fun but idk it reads to me as a way to regurgitate overused incorrect quotes. (please some vines need to be laid to rest. also, can we stop quoting that one copaganda show oh my god)
