this post got me to smile because it's SO NICHE but also because my best friend and i watch BOTH Bluey and Miraculous together, so this makes it even more niche and delightful

Earlier this week, my husband and I were watching Bluey (you know, as 2 childless adults do…). The season 1 episode “Butterflies” airs, and Bingo sings “Poor Little Bug on the Wall”:

Poor little bug on the wall, ding jing/ding No one to love him at all, ding jing/ding No one to tickle his toes, ding jing/ding No one to blow his nose, pffffffft!

Then it gets to the part where an abandoned Bingo goes to hide in the fabric swing and softly sings a sorrowful reprise of “Poor Little Bug on the Wall”. Same lyrics, just slowed down to reflect her loneliness.

That’s when my darling of a husband turns to me with a “cat that ate the canary” grin.

“What?” I ask, knowing I’m going to regret hearing the answer.

“That’s the song Adrien would have sung in ‘Chat Blanc’ if he were Mr. Bug instead.”
