I have always had a hard time maintaining my weight. I would easily gain weight and it felt virtually impossible to lose even a single pound. That all changed when I started following the carnivore diet in 2015 - while my energy levels increased, other issues such as joint pain and brain fog emerged. It was then that I discovered my MTHFR A1298C gene defect, which is related to methylation and detoxification problems. After further research, I began to take B-Vitamins as recommended by Dr. Elizabeth Grady, although she noted that this was not something that needed to be taken for life - just until my body balanced itself out again. Sure enough, after taking the vitamins for an extended period of time the scale started shifting downwards, inches were lost and the brain fog and oxalate dumping stopped! My health has been quite a journey but now it seems like the mystery is being resolved - thanks to the MTHFR gene defect being identified and appropriate treatment given it's now easier than ever before for me to reach a healthy balance both mentally and physically. #mthfrmutation #mthfr #mthfrexperts #biomeiq #health #healthy #guthealth #healthygut #wellness #mthfrgenemutation #mthfrawareness #mthfrliving #mthfrwarrior #mthfrmutation #mthfreating #mthfrsupport #mthfrc677t #mthfrdetox #mthfrhealing #mthfra1298c #mthfrgene  #vitamind #vitamins #sunlight #immunesystem #immunology #dopamine #mood #hormones #bvitamins #enduranceathlete

Methylfolate Dose Changes – The MTHFR Journey Over Time
We’ve talked about folate dosing strategies because the best dose of methyl folate for your body will change through the course of your MTHFR journey. The three strategies we have covered are:
Intuitive dosing – this is my favorite and is perfect if you and your body communicate well together. When you’re stressed, have a difficult day coming up, feeling not perfect, or know you’re doing some extra detox work, increase your dose slightly. If you’re feeling amazing and don’t need extra support, then don’t take it. Just listen to what your body needs at that moment (I do this with all my supplements, not just methylfolate).
Mixed dosing – this is better if you’re a routine kind of person. You like the stability of taking a small dose each day (smaller than your maximum tolerated dose) and you can add up to your maximum on days that are harder.
Pulsed dosing – this is the method championed by Ben Lynch. He says if you feel great, decrease your dose and if you feel poorly, increase.

Exactly one year ago today, I shared a photo of myself in the hospital. This has been my toughest year dealing with Multiple Sclerosis. _ Autoimmune disease can be physically and emotionally debilitating. Living with MS since 1993 has taken its toll and this year more so. I’ve said “no” to just about everything to focus on my health. I’ve also recommitted to my family as my husband and boys have long suffered at the hands of my disease. The price of saying “no” again and again? Career and friendships. _ I’m so grateful for all that sacrifice, hard work, and sheer luck have brought. Today, at the beach with one of my few girlfriends, we chat about gratitude. I am so blessed for the parts of me that work. With age 53 right around the corner, I’m simply thrilled that I can walk, do housework like laundry and dishes, and check in with you guys now and then. Thanks for being a part of this healing project and sticking it out through peaks, valleys, and every bump in the road. Love you all! ❤️ - - #ms #multiplesclerosis #msawareness #invisibledisability #celiac #celiacdisease #celiacdiseaseawareness #thyroiditis #hashimotos #autoimmune #brca #brcamutation #mthfr #mthfrmutation #health #healing #family #gratitude #life https://www.instagram.com/p/B43iliBh7I_/?igshid=r25zh798afbi

Find Doctors Who Treat MTHFR Symptoms at MTHFRdoctors.com
MTHFR is an enzyme that adds a methyl group to folic acid to make it usable by the body. The MTHFR gene produces this enzyme that is necessary for properly using vitamin B9. This enzyme is also important for converting homocysteine into methionine, which the body needs for proper metabolism and muscle growth and which is needed for glutathione creation. The process of methylation also involves the enzyme from the MTHFR gene, so those with a mutation may have trouble effectively eliminating toxins from the body.
Now for MTHFR Mutation you can find a Practitioner, MTHFR Doctors who treats MTHFR at MTHFRdoctors.com. MTHFR is a very important gene and its mutations may affect your health in many different ways. MTHFRdoctors.com experts have gathered a list of 10 important steps to help you learn what to do.
MTHFRdoctors.com offers to find MTHFR doctors, search for MTHFR practitioners who offer treatment for MTHFR mutation, MTHFR gene mutation treatment, MTHFR cancer treatment. The MTHFR practitioners offer help syndrome genetic, MTHFR epigenetics, MTHFR DNA and more.
The MTHFR gene test provides instructions for making an enzyme called methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase. This enzyme plays a role in processing amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase is important for a chemical reaction involving forms of the vitamin folate. Precisely, this enzyme transforms a molecule called 5, 10-methylenetetrahydrofolate to a molecule called 5-methyltetrahydrofolate. This reaction is required for the multistep process that converts the amino acid homocysteine to another amino acid, methionine. The body uses methionine to make proteins and other important compounds.
Individuals with a MTHFR gene mutation and MTHFR Symptoms have a highly reduced ability to convert folic acid or even folate into a usable form. There are many variations of the mutation, depending on how the gene was passed down from the parents. Individuals with low activity of the MTHFR enzyme may present with elevated homocysteine levels, which have been associated with inflammation and heart disease, birth defects, difficult pregnancies, and potentially an impaired ability to detoxify.

M O N D A Y M O O D . #GetIt! 💪🏼🙌🏼👊🏼 Honesty hour: I have been eating sooooooo terribly for the past month. My body is in need of a #HARDRESET. I'm posting it here, because I'm certain I could use the extra #accountability. We all could! I use to have #willpowerBALLSofSTEEL, lol!...but NOT lately, and it's really starting to show! 😕😑😞 • I was recently diagnosed with having the #MTHFRgenemutation. YUP. Sounds like an #acronym for something else to me too. 💁🏼😠😜😉 #SorryNotSorry! Anyway, it runs in our family, I'm JUST learning more about it, but from what little I know so far, it is kind of a precursor to #bloodclots, strokes, heart attacks, etc.; I do not process #folate like a "normal" person. Yeah yeah I always knew I wasn't normal, lol! 😆 Certain things are more dangerous for women with the #mthfrgeneticmutation such as pregnancy and forms of birth control, etc. Well, I obviously have sooooo much more to learn, but I know I had two PERFECTLY #healthy pregnancies and two perfectly healthy beautiful children that God knew were needed on this earth. 💙💙 #withGodallthingsarepossible ❤️🙏🏼❤️ • I know I'm already doing a lot of the things they recommend to stay healthy living with #mthfr such as eating and drinking lots of greens (as found in my #faithfitnessfashion #ohmygoodnessgreenjuice 🌱🍋🌱🍋🌱), taking #detoxbaths #epsomsalt soaks, getting plenty of regular exercise, avoiding putting chemicals in and on my body such as face creams, lotions, and processed foods. But my diet has been slacking, and I want to not only look and feel healthy, but also live a long healthy life and be around a good long time for my boys! • I'm reading up on it, but if you are a #mthfrwarrior, I would love to hear more about the things you do and know to stay healthiest. I know one thing, I am #thankful for this great life I've been given, and there are FAR WORSE things! And now, I just need a good mutator name like wolverine or something! 😘 Have a happy, healthy day, fam! 💪🏼🙌🏼😘 Love & blessings! • • • • • #mthfrsupport #mthfrawareness #mthfrmutation #mthfrmama #mthfrliving #mthfrsurvivor #eatyourgreens #greenjuice #fffwholefoodsdetox #detox #alkalinebody
