i worked at sbux for 8 whole years drinking like trenta nitro cold brews on my way home at 11pm after an 8 hr shift of drinking multiple espresso drinks and all it ever did was maybe make my existing insomnia worse but now if i accidentally make my one daily iced coffee too strong i get the jitters so bad i can't even write legibly like what the fuck happened to me in the last 3 years. i'm starting to understand the middle aged customers we had that would come in at like 3 pm saying they couldn't have any more caffeine or they wouldn't be able to sleep is that what's happening to me. is this getting old.

The mountain lost 1300ft (396m) of its 5000ft (1524m) height.

Twelve climbers had almost reached the summit of Mount Adams. They had hoped to see some sign of life from its neighbor, Mount St. Helens, but were disappointed by the total lack of volcanic activity. When the eruption began, the group shouted excitedly. Vince Larson, "realized that we were witnessing not just a few, brief jets of steam, but a major eruption of the mountain." Fred Grimm braced himself. "I thought there would be a tremendous shock wave," but there was none. The air became very still and warm. Thunder provided some sense of realism to the silent explosion cloud that flickered with lightning.

Suzanne Christiansen still wanted to reach the summit-until metal objects began emitting a buzzing sound. Even the braces on 14-year-old David Larson's teeth buzzed! When Jack Christiansen held up his ice axe, "I received a substantial electrical shock through my wool mittens." Realizing that the air was alive with electricity, the group decided to descend.

As the sky darkened, David Larson said, "When I said I wanted to see a little eruption, I didn't mean anything like this!" The climbers were showered with ash and pumice pellets, and smoldering bark, pine cones, and branches up to sixteen inches long. Visibility gradually improved after 30 minutes, and the climbers safely reached their cars.

79 people lost their lives — almost all later found to be outside the red zone designated by Governor Dixy Lee Ray and state officials, although inside the evacuation zone recommended by USGS scientists,* whose latest report urging the red zone be expanded lay on the governor's desk unsigned the day of the eruption.

But the governor told the press that day that those killed had bypassed roadblocks and entered the evacuation zone. Since the only victims known about immediately were codger Harry Truman, who'd famously refused to leave, and on-duty volcanologist David Johnson, reporters bought her spin doctoring. No one thought to ask how she knew the location of all the victims so quickly. To this day, you'll see the governor's victim-blaming repeated in most accounts.

*Logging, fishing & hunting interests had pushed back against their advice, and since the volcanologists couldn't say when or even if the volcano would really erupt, they had bern overruled.

UPDATE 02/03/2024

Got rid of dark spots on some planter meshes, deleted mipmaps, renamed some planters (4 plants became 5 plants for some because there are 5 slots), enabled quarter tile placement on some forgotten objects.

I recommend deleting your whole folder and replacing it with the new one.

A small upload that I made last week! I had to delay uploading as I got COVID and felt like absolute crap.

These are some small dish draining racks that I made because my Sims lack in ones that can fit in their compact houses. Now these are fairly high poly, unfortunately, but I figured because you're going to likely have 1 per household it's not too bad? There is also a drainage mat vaguely based on the one I have irl too! I have based the plates on a more white version of the base game texture, so feel free to recolour to your replacements!

Each come with recolours to turn the dishes invisible.

As usual, feel free to do whatever you want with my stuff, but no paysites please!

Can be found in Buy/Deco/Sculptures for $20 (and $3 for the drainage mat) and as usual, enjoy! Let me know if there's any issues :)

Have you always wanted to build on small 1X1 lots? Or have a smaller sized beach lot for your surfer shack? Well, now you can! I have done all the Lot-Adjusting work for you.

These lots were made with the UC installed. If you don't have all the EPs/SPs (or at least AL/M&G as your highest one,) then, you probably can't use these! (I provided links for similar "empty lot" collections - some of them don't need all EP/SPs.)

ALL possible lot sizes are included (within the game's original size limit of 6X6) - including Beach lots.

These are all perfectly flat lots (well, all except for the beach lots...)

The Sun is oriented to the front of the lot.

These were made on Lush Terrain, but whatever terrain you put them down on (Desert, Dirt, Lush, or Cement) the game will change the lot's "base terrain" to match.
