Heyyy…. May i request a wife reader x dick grayson… she is mad at him and is giving him a silent treatment, but he is so done with this that he starts annoying her by saying Mrs. Grayson after every sentense and closing tightly lids
anon this is so adorable. i am going feral. also i am so severely sorry for my IA-ness.
tags — just overall fluff. some light swearing
In hindsight, you should've known that this would entail not just dating, but also marrying a vigilante. How could someone blame you, anyways? You were sitting at home, about to go to bed, when Nightwing crashed into your apartment after being chucked across the city by some villain or the other.
He had a major concussion. You didn't know how to treat thrown vigilantes who definitely had a couple of broken ribs and a torn ACL.
What you did know was how to comfort a man who was clearly in pain, who was trying to stifle his screams, because let's face it, the vigilante life should clearly not be glamorized.
He felt bad for the wreckage in your apartment. Every week, there'd be thousands of dollars at your doorstep from him, ready to pay it off. He had to be rich. There was no way he was giving your entire salary in four months and a half.
Eventually, you figured out his secret identity. And instead of being angry about it, Dick Grayson felt awfully in love with a girl who was as intelligent as he hoped she'd be. Sure she wasn't a supermodel, but she made him laugh. She made him think. She wasn't easy to get along with at times, but she made him better.
Three years later, he put a ring on it.
"I told you," you snapped, "you just keep going in stupid situations, and normally, I wouldn't mind, but it's like you refuse my help or anyone else's."
Dick knew he had a really bad hero complex. He couldn't stand anyone else getting hurt because of his issues. "I can handle it," he responded. "And isn't it just annoying that you've been mad at me for the past two days? Can't you just give it a rest?"
"I'll give it a rest when you start accepting help from others," you responded, your brows furrowing. "God, you're so—you're so—ugh!"
Dick rolled his eyes and then smirked at you, that stupid boyish smirk that made your heart tingle and everything else disappear. "I'm so what, sweetheart? What am I, Mrs. Grayson?"
You glared at him. "Dick!" You huffed, both saying his name and the insult. "That's it. I want a cooling down period. Leave me and the kitchen alone!"
He grinned, looking back at you, a mischievous glance in his eye. "Oh, I will, Mrs. Grayson. I will."
* * *
Making dinner was one of your forms of therapy. Dick was starting to go out for patrol, much to your distaste, no doubt about to pick a fight with someone who would give him considerable damage.
You didn't want him to go, you wanted to keep him here and kiss him forever, but he would leave anyways. It's my moral duty to the people of Bludhaven to keep them safe, he had said to you one night. I could never bring it to myself to disappoint these people. To make them unsafe. I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure people are as safe as can be.
And though you really disliked it, you knew that was one of the core reasons why you were so undoubtedly in love with him.
You turned around to grab the jar of pickles, still steaming from the fight, only to find that it was incredibly hard to open.
"What. The. Hell?" You hissed. You had opened it up just a day ago, and put it easily back, making sure it wasn't that hard.
Your face turned red and you looked at it again before trying to open it up, straining and groaning, only for your muscles to give out. There was only one explanation for this.
Your stupid, lovable, husband.
And after a few minutes of recollecting your pride, you stomped over to your bedroom where he was dressing. He was in the midst of putting the top half of his suit on, and your mouth turned a little dry when you saw him shirtless.
You were pretty sure that when the first time you saw him shirtless, literal heart eyes came out of your eyes. You gawked for a couple of seconds, admiring the contour of his muscles, only for him to turn around and smirk at you.
He knew what you were doing. Dammit.
"Hi, Mrs. Grayson," he teased. "Enjoying the view?"
"Shut up," you snapped, and held out the jar. "Open this up right now and stop screwing with my jars."
He smirked at you. "What's the magic word?"
"The magic word is 'I will beat you up if you don't open the jar up right now'," you responded, glaring at him. "Now. Open."
He laughed, tossing his head back, his voice echoing off the room before taking the jar. You watched intently as his triceps flexed when he opened the jar up with ease and returned it back.
"Thank you," you said, your voice having an edge to it. You were about to turn around before he grabbed you by the arm.
"What, no good luck kiss?" Dick asked huskily in your ear. It sent shivers down your spine.
"Even if I give you one, you'll still end up badly injured."
"C'mon," he murmured, planting a light kiss on your neck, his hands dancing on your waist. He squeezed your sides slightly. "I always fight better when my girl kisses me."
You looked up at him and snorted. "In your dreams," you responded, but he took this moment to crash his lips against you. You felt dizzy and couldn't help but to wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him closer.
When the both of you stopped, he laughed, looking at you breathless, his blue eyes twinkling in the night sky.
"Knew you couldn't be mad at me for that long, Mrs. Grayson."
"Shut up," you grumbled, punching his shoulder lightly. "Go save Bludhaven, Boy Wonder."
He stepped out the window and then turned back at him, smirking. "You know I am, sweetheart. And when I come back, I'm gonna finish what I started."

Ford Pines x GN!reader headcanons!
I'm surprised it took me this long to get into Gravity Falls. Anyways this has both SFW and NSFW so beware. There's also a brief mention of being AFAB as a possibility but other than that it's completely gender neutral (I'm 99% sure, I didn't proofread too well lol).
SFW
Right off the bat, I’m saying he’s autistic because so am I and I said so.
If you’re someone who needs reassurance or is generally anxious/paranoid about anything he’ll go into long (often scientific) explanations to ease your mind and also throw in some fun facts.
Both a listener and a yapper. He loves nothing more than the sound of your voice but also loves being able to spout all sorts of things about his research and interests while you stare at him lovingly.
Can’t sleep unless you’re next to him. You don’t even need to be cuddling, your presence is just the one thing he needs to fall asleep.
That being said, he will NEVER pass up an opportunity to cuddle. Watching a movie? Cuddling. Working at his desk in the lab? Cuddling on his lap. Cooking something in the kitchen? He’s got his arms wrapped around you as he presses loving kisses into your temple.
He rarely swears, but when he does it always makes you do a double-take (and maybe giggle because it sounds so odd coming from him).
Probably tried weed once or twice in the '70s and was somewhat part of the psychedelic rock scene. Stan has some old photos of him during that time somewhere but Ford is absolutely mortified by the idea of you seeing him in bell-bottom jeans.
It doesn’t matter how long you two have been together, every time he sees you he feels the same as he did the day you two met. Ford will never stop becoming flustered at the sight of you.
Post-Weirdmaggedon he became very anxious at the thought of you being out alone or not being near him. He feels like he needs to be on guard at all times so that he can protect you. He eventually calms down after some reassurance from you and a fuck ton of therapy.
While he lacks some emotional intelligence he’s actually very attentive and knows exactly what you need when you’re upfront about your feelings. As long as you’re not vague and communicate, he knows what to do to help you.
Adding onto that, I think he briefly studied psychology in college so he’d have a pretty good understanding of any mental health issues you might have.
Said “No more Mr Nice Guy” one time and hasn’t heard the end of it from anyone.
NSFW
Has to stop himself from cumming too quickly when you tell him how good he’s making you feel. Stroking his ego (and other things) is the best way to get him horny.
Will always ask you for consent no matter what it is. You could be mid-fuck and he’d still ask if he could put his hands on your hips.
This is just my personal headcanon but I believe while he didn’t really have too much experience before he got stuck on the other side of the portal (probably hooked up with Fiddleford once or twice tho), I fully believe that after a few years of dimension-hopping, he would’ve had a few one-night stands (mans gotta blow off some steam). So when he gets the chance to fuck you, a real human from his dimension, he’s more than ecstatic, especially since he’s picked up more than a few tricks over the past thirty years.
Knows how to use all twelve of his fingers.
Since Ford was sucked into the portal in the early ’80s and spent thirty years in there, he’s super confused when you mention shaving down there or being embarrassed about your body hair (if you do either) since the last time he was around everyone preferred going all natural.
This one’s less sexy but I’m putting it here anyways. He avoided taking off his shirt for ages since he didn’t want you to see all the scars he’d gotten over the years or any of the tattoos related to the things he did in the portal, especially the ones related to Bill. Surprisingly not as insecure about his “Flirty Gal” tramp stamp.
Doesn’t understand that he’s ridiculously hot.
You jokingly said “Yes sir” one time and he got hard so quickly.
Although he does rather enjoy you taking the lead.
Loves experimenting with cock warming and edging. Literally. He’ll time the both of you and have everything written down somewhere and draw a graph with extra info like if you’re someone with a menstrual cycle and how that affects the results.

Jason Todd With Scientist S/O
He thinks your job is so cool
He's really smart so he can keep up with all the science lingo but sometimes you have to explain exactly what you're doing I the lab since it's not all common knowledge
Wants to know what you're doing and why you're doing it or how you're doing it
explain the deep dive details, he loves it and it makes him feel like you care about him being interested
He respects if you have to work long hours since he does too
He is honestly worried that if you're working on anything high profile or top secret that something bad will happen at the lab so he hangs around a lot and has given you a few different things to signal him if you need him
If you're a vigilante he still does this and the rest of the Batfamily have given you something to call them just incase
It's not that they don't trust that you'd take care of yourself, but sometimes you can't drop a beaker of something just cause Mr. Freeze is having a meltdown again instead of going to therapy
sorry Victor, I understand but don't be freezing innocents dude
sometimes you have to leave the bed early because you have a long day at the lab and need to be able to work long hours without it being 1am the next day
Jason probably reads Frankenstein with you a lot since he jokes about you being Frankenstein
hopes that you never do become Victor Frankenstein though because that dude was wild
He thinks that you look adorable in your lab gear
even if it's full hazmat stuff he thinks it's so cute
he doesn't like hazmat things though cause like- obviously
You have a lot of jewelry from Jason and you cannot always wear jewelry in the lab
there are things that can tear, dissolve, steam, burn, it's just overall not a good time with rings or hanging necklaces
Jason realizes that you have to leave your jewelry behind and lot and he gives you a special jewelry box to keep everything in
installs one in your locker at the facility so that no one can bust in but you can wear your jewelry every where but the lab
Asks you about your day and cooks dinner when you're having a hard time
house keeper of the year
he learned from Alfred
picks you up from the lab and likes to come in and see what you're doing if he can
doesn't mind getting suited up in a lab coat, hair net, gloves, glasses... if that means that he gets to see what's up
he loves asking questions about the things that he's looking at and feels comfortable asking what may be considered dumb questions
he's confident that no matter what comes out of his mouth, it's received as if it came from someone who's an expert in the field
Comes to your work in his Red Hood gear if you're working late
hangs out and talks to you while you're working
drops you off and picks you up on his bike
makes sure that you have clean pjs after taking those scolding all over showers when you're done working
loves watching TV after work with you since it's a time that you can both shut off your brains and hang out
Fridays are ice cream and tv nights even if you two are working late

My top 10 fic picks from 2022
(all updated or completed in 2022, in no particular order)
This was the year of devouring content from new favorite authors. Special shoutout to @outdean and @urne-buriall . Right Where you Left Me and spirit of the west are on track to becoming new fandom classics, methinks.
1. Right Where You Left Me by outdean (@outdean), 93,581 words, E, destiel, canonverse
Cas comes back from the empty 10 years after his death, only to find Dean married (to a man! gasp!). Heartache ensues, but not without a heartwarming end. Warning for (spoilers!) infidelity and emotional abuse from a spouse. Last year's serial fic of Tumblr was Cheapest Room in the House, and this year's was no less beautiful and engaging. What I especially loved about this fic was the sense of community and excitement it spurred in the fandom. It was so fun logging into tumblr after every update for collective squee and memes. What's also particularly praiseworthy about this story is outdean's sense of character. Not only are Dean and Cas authentic and oh-so tangible, but so are the other cast of characters: Jack is especially endearing, but also convincingly adult and complicated. And Dean's husband, although delicious to hate, is also a little difficult to hate, too. At its heart, RWYLM is an unerringly human tale, zits and all.
2. spirit of the west by teen_dean (@urne-buriall), 140,680 words, M, destiel, AU
Beautifully atmospheric, at times brutal, at times gentle - this 1990's horsegirl!Dean fic is one for the ages. Dean is 18 and lonely on his father's horse farm - that is until his childhood friend, Cas, returns to town, and they quickly fall into the kind of intimacy that's titillating, tantalizing, and terrifying all at once. TW for strong themes of domestic abuse and PTSD, also homophobia and animal death. The prose is charming and lyrical. The characters are lively and full. It's the kind of writing that's so detailed and visual, you feel like a participant in the story, not just a spectator. Despite the darkness and fear in Dean's life, with Cas by his side (and a host of other lovable characters), he grows to accept love from others and for himself. This is more than a coming-of-age novel. It's also a story about hope: in the face of cruelty, there will also be unfailing kindness.
3. so much smoke in the hall of mirrors by AreYouReady (@autisticandroids), 6,232 words, E, pre-destiel/one-sided destiel, canonverse
Dark. Dark. Dark. But also disturbing and alluring in the best possible ways. It's season 6, and Cas is lured steadily further from the light by Crowley and the pressures of the Angelic civil war. To blow off some steam, he creates a Dean sex-doll out of living flesh. Warnings are well-listed in the tags, but include non-con voyeurism, dehumanization, and torture. Although the premise is bleak, this fic is a fascinating and believable dive into Cas's characterization pre-godhood powertrip. Well worth the read if you don't mind a little moral ambiguity with your morning wheaties.
4. Dateverse by aeli_kindara (@gravelghosts), 47,057 words, 3 works, E, destiel, canonverse
After the Mrs. Butters business, Dean asks Cas on a date. Warnings for typical Dean bad headspace, but there's plenty of fluff to soothe our (and Dean's) ills. aeli_kindara is an author whose careful writing perfectly suits Dean's caution as he pursues Cas and navigates a relationship within their emotional pitfalls and chaotic surroundings. What I especially admire about her writing is her use of motifs: photographs in the first story, memories in the second, and sunsets in the last. The third installment is waylaid by the events of the final few episodes of the series, but the fic seamlessly blends canon and fresh events into a believable and satisfying happy ending. Also, Dean goes to therapy! What's not to love?
5. where black stars rise by teen_dean, (@urne-buriall), 27,770 words, T, destiel, canonverse
This case fic carves through the grand, sweeping mysteries of the universe like the Sidewinder Canyon through the desert. No specific warnings other than that very distinct, unnerving state of mind you enter while driving alone at night, darkness and pin-prick stars above you, and it feels like you're nothing but an infinitesimal speck of dust on the cusp of eternity.... Anyway, this fic follows Dean and Cas on the trail of several missing persons on a canyon trail in Arizona, unobtrusive until time and space, itself, unravels at the seams. Teen_dean plays with words and the cosmos like Play-Doh, molding an ethereal, enthralling story that rocketed up to one of my favorite fics of all time.
6. iconography by foccacciabread (couldn’t find a tumblr), 3,578 words, G, Mary and Dean centric, canonverse
A simple enough premise: Mary finds old photographs of herself on Facebook. Cue family heartache, the punishment of lost time, and navigating old wounds. How to be a son when your mother isn't who you thought she was? How to be a mother when your child is dead but somehow still alive, but so, so changed? No warnings, but heavy angst.
7. Dont Stop, Make It Pop by dumbassnatural (@dumbassnatural), 34,661 words, WIP, T, destiel, canonverse
Cas accidentally becomes a tik tok sensation, and Jack uses his technological and business savvy to make his dad a star. Both parts sweet and earnest, this story starts with a silly premise and takes it to surprisingly heartwarming places. No warnings other than the fact this is a WIP that hasn’t been updated since January, but it does leave off in a place that isn’t hard to extrapolate what might comes next.
8. in present tenses by focacciabread, 31,463 words, E, destiel, canonverse
After getting Cas back from the Empty, Dean decides the smartest move to guarantee Cas doesn’t ever leave him again is to just start sleeping with him. It’s what Cas wants, right? And it won’t do any further psychic damage to Dean, right? Right? Surely it will not have any negative effects whatsoever on their relationship. Warnings for bad Dean headspace throughout. There are a couple fics with this premise floating about, but I was especially drawn to focacciabread’s evocative writing and convincing Dean internal monologue. We love a messy boy.
9. AITA for disapproving of my brother's high sex drive? by birdsofthesoul (couldn’t find a tumblr) and PlaidIsTheBestPattern (@cacophony-of-notions), 3,907 words, T, implied destiel, canonverse
This one also made its rounds on Tumblr, so you’ve probably already read it, but it’s an absolutely delightful, only partially serious take in Dean and Sam’s Reddit Rivalry and that particular brand of moralizing found in online spaces. It does what all the best “crack taken seriously” fics do, which is gives us an amusing premise but never deviates from the voices of these characters we know so well. Very mild warning for homophobia. Also be sure to read the rest of the AITA series.
10. peace came upon me (and it leave me weak) by outdean (@outdean), 73,773 words, E, destiel, canonverse
After Cas gets taken to the empty, Dean gets sober. Cas comes back a year later. Problems ensue. This one deals seriously and carefully with addiction and alcoholism, especially heavy mistakes done under the influence. Dean has a lot of growing to do and a lot to atone for, and he isn’t let off the hook easy. Cas has his own journey as he learns to forgive Dean for passed mistakes and navigate a future life with the man he’s in love with. It’s not an easy path, and it’s not an easy story to read, but it’s well worth it. Outdean navigates serious issues with finesse and delicacy that’s wonderful to observe.
Honorable mention:
Pater by TaraxcumWine, (couldn’t find a tumblr), 184,366 words, E, destiel, AU
I recced this as a WIP last year, but it finished posting early in 2022. I didn’t want it to take up a spot again, but I can't help but mention it. It’s a thoughtful, intricate, and beautiful look in Dean and Cas’s relationship from their first meeting to present day. It deals with heavy themes of child abuse, past non-con, mental health issues, homophobia, etc. so tread carefully. This is especially recommended for those who liked spirit of the west or my own silver linings series, as it deals with similar themes. It’s very well worth the read despite the hefty length.

Coffeehouse Blues
James Wilson hustles down the lamp lit street, collar up turned to fight the wind blowing at his back. The early November air holds the promise of winter in its chill. He passes the rotting husks of Jack O’ Lanterns, interspersed with too-early Christmas lights.
He’d finished work an hour and a half ago. He’d walked down to diagnostics to look for House, but he and his fellows had already left for the day. He’d tried calling but House didn’t pick up. Not wanting to return to his sad, empty hotel room he’d decided to go for a walk in downtown Princeton. He almost regretted moving out of House’s apartment on nights like these. It was a fact, James Wilson did not do loneliness well.
He’d started therapy recently. A private practice not at all associated with any hospital, a necessity if he didn’t want House to know immediately. After his third divorce he thought maybe is was worth looking into way he was both a serial monogamist and a serial adulterer. Why despite the fact that all three of his wives were everything he was supposed to want, they were never enough to make him happy.
This is what he ponders as he walks and walks the streets of Princeton. His hands are shoved deep in his pockets because he didn’t bring gloves, his ears burn because he doesn’t have a hat. He wasn’t planning an hours long walk when he got dressed this morning, but despite the cold settling in his bones he still doesn’t want to go home.
His nose catches the scent of coffee - good coffee - and he realizes across the street from where he’s standing is a coffeehouse. Warm light pours out the large windows along with the delicious smell. He hasn’t had supper, and coffee at this time of night is never a good idea, but the thought of a hot drink in a cozy cafe has him j-walking across the street.
It’s just as wonderfully warm inside as he’d hoped. The building is a historic house that’s been converted into a cafe, so it stretches out into multiple rooms. The room he is in holds the bar and a few small tables, but there are signs with arrows exclaiming “more seating this way!” He can hear an acoustic guitar being played in one of the other rooms. The place is quite busy, and he realizes that it’s some sort of open mic night. He’s enjoying the music being played, and hopes the other performers are as talented as this one. He plans to stay and drink his coffee, try to warm up, before he heads back to his car to bite the bullet and return to his hotel room.
“Large coffee, dark roast, black, for here please.” He tells the barista when it’s his turn.
He always rehearses his order in his head while waiting in line so he minimizes the time it takes for the person to take his order. He just feels its the polite thing to do.
As he stands and waits for his drink the guitar playing ends. The crowd applauses and after a few moments someone speaks into the microphone.
“That was Jenna Foster everyone. Next up is a name our regulars will remember. Back after a hiatus, Mr. James Callum!” The MC announces just as Wilson is being handed his mug of steaming coffee.
The crowd cheers, clearly happy to have this performer back. He navigates the crowd, moving into the other room where the performance is taking place. He manages to snag a corner table at the back. He can’t see the performer, to many people standing in front of the “stage” area but he doesn’t mind. The coffee mug is warm in his hands and he finally feels some warmth sinking into him as he shrugs off his coat and sits down.
He’s taking his first sip of coffee when the music starts. It’s a slow piano, and as the piece continues it reminds him of some of the pieces House has composed. He isn’t sure if he actually has that good an ear as to pick out House’s music, or if all piano music reminds him of House.
It’s one of the things he misses about living with House. While it’s true that the prank wars were juvenile, and House refusing to do dishes was annoying, there were things that made living with him enjoyable. One of those things was his music. Wilson could easily admit that having House strum his guitar while Wilson cooked, or having him play the piano while Wilson read a book was nice. It felt comfortable and domestic and he missed it almost every night he spend alone in his hotel room.
The music grows to a beautiful crescendo before quieting, and then comes the voice.
“I went down to the St. James Infirmary,
Saw my baby there
She was stretched out on a long, white table
So cool, so sweet, so sweet, so fair,”
That voice stopped Wilson in his tracks. He knew that voice. But, no. There was no way. Absolutely not.
“Let her go, let her go
God bless her
Wherever she may be
She can search this whole wide world over
She won't ever find another man like me,”
He abandoned his table and half drank cup of coffee to push his way to the front of the room. He knew it couldn’t be true. Obviously this was someone who just happened to play and sound very much like his friend. He managed to make it to the second row. Being six feet tall he was able to see over the heads of the people in the first row, and down to the figure seated at the piano.
His jaw dropped. “James Callum” was Gregory House.
“When I die, bury me a straight laced shoes
A box backed suit and a Stetson hat
Put 20 dollar gold piece on my watch chain
So the boys'll know I died standin' pat”
Wilson couldn’t believe it. House rarely sang, even at home. He had a beautiful voice, so suited to the bluesy music he prefers, but for some reason he didn’t like to accompany his playing with his voice. Yet here he was, singing for a bunch of strangers. He used a fake name sure, but still, he was singing. Something Wilson knew was outside his comfort zone.
As the song came to a close House looked up from the keys and looked out at the crowd. He looked eyes with Wilson, face falling blank for a moment. Wilson gave him a huge smile, wanting House to know how proud he was. After a moment House returned the smile with a big one of his own.
House’s big smiles didn’t look like big smiles to anyone who didn’t know him. They only involved half his mouth, the right side turning up and showing his teeth while the left side remained mostly neutral, like his muscles didn’t quite know how to form a smile. Wilson thought maybe that was true, maybe House had smiled so little in his life that his facial muscles didn’t know how. That just meant that every time he got to see that perfect, lopsided smile it made his heart skip a beat because he knew getting to see it made him special.
House turned back to the piano, starting another bluesy tune. Wilson retrieved his mug and coat off the back table, moving to stand and sip his coffee so he could watch his best friend play. House did three more songs before his time slot was up. Afterwards he limped over to where Wilson was standing, leaning in close to be heard over the MC and the chatty crowd.
“I’ll let you come over if you buy me a pizza” House said, blue eyes locking with his and then glancing away, a sign Wilson knew meant House was nervous.
“Sounds like a fair deal to me.”
They exited the busy coffeehouse, walking shoulder to shoulder until they got to House’s car. He drove Wilson to his car as he was parked almost 30 minutes away by foot, and they bid each other temporary farewell.
Climbing into his Volvo, Wilson couldn’t help smiling to himself. He has no idea what it says about him that he’s only truly happy when he’s spending time with his best friend, supposes it’s something he should bring up in therapy.
But for now he has a pizza to buy, and he wants to think up a way to wrangle a personal encore out of House after dinner.

Since you asked Kai for the character bingo on my side, I'd also like to hear your (spoiler free maybe???) opinions on Kai for the bingo
I'll try to keep it spoiler free as possible!
Grips the table so hard my nails leave dents in it while I stare at him intensely
I love him he is very silly. Some of the jokes he makes make me Sad though because he genuinely doesn't realise why those jokes aren't funny to others because of his upbringing. Mr Kai we have to take you out to socialise you. Also I need to take him therapy because. Yeah.
All his fondness events in ytts make me INSANE. Like. The ones with Nao, Mishima, Sara, Joe and Shin are just. With the exception of Joe's which is just goofy and I like it for that reason, they all give more insight into his character and why he's Like That and. I'm going to eat crayons child style
I assume the spoiler free stuff also carries over to yttd bc you said you'd watch a playthrough eventually? So I cannot say much here. However I will talk a lil about his minisode that is exclusive to the steam edition. I was. Not expecting it to have him be so young in it. I was also not expecting what happened in there to happen. I was not expecting to cry. He makes me Sad.
He can make great egg benedicts, and that's super cool!!

honestly i'd love to see more of your angstshipping!! i'm really enjoying malik goes to therapy and i'd love to see more of your take on them :)
it's funny, i was working on an angstshipping smut fic a verrrrry long time ago and ran out of steam. so in honor of Ryou's birthday, here's the sfw version
Ryou sighed as he closed the door, resting his forehead against the wood. The apartment seemed stiflingly quiet now, the chatter of his friends' voices fading down the hallway. To their credit, they'd cleaned up pretty well before leaving; only a few stray napkins and paper plates were lying around.
"I've never seen someone so relieved to watch their friends leave." He turned his head to smile at Marik, who was leaning against the living room door.
"I'm always happy to see them," Ryou said, standing up straight and smoothing a hand over his hair. "I know telling me beforehand defeats the purpose of a surprise party, but -"
"You really don't like surprises, do you?"
"I just would've liked to tidy up a bit first."
Marik rolled his eyes and disappeared into the living room. "Nothing you can do about it now," he called from around the corner.
"I know." Ryou sighed, pulling away from the door to follow him. Marik had made himself at home on the couch, and as soon as Ryou sat down, he wrapped his arm around his shoulders, hugging him close. "I'm grateful," he affirmed, resting his head against Marik's shoulder.
"Good. It took a lot of effort to get you out of the house today, you homebody."
Ryou wrinkled his nose, blushing despite himself. "We can't all be extroverts! I'm not nearly as charming as you, anyway."
"Aw, trying to deflect with compliments, Mr. Fanclub? I appreciate it, but it's not going to work." Marik kissed the top of his head.
Ryou huffed but smiled as he reached for the remote to turn on the TV. It clicked on to some procedural crime show as he said, "It must have been hard to plan this with you being in Egypt."
"I have an email now, remember?" Marik sounded so proud that Ryou couldn't help but laugh to himself. "Only two years into being a proper citizen and everything."
"I guess I'm so used to your family visiting that I forgot."
"The perks of having a culturally important sister." Marik squeezed Ryou closer to himself, idly playing with his hair. His voice dropped to sound cartoonishly evil. "But now I have you all to myself!"
Ryou gasped dramatically, pulling away to look at him. "This was your plan all along!"
Marik turned, lowering his hands to grab Ryou by the waist as he climbed onto his lap. "And you completely fell for it, you fool." With that, he buried his face against Ryou's neck, assaulting him with little kisses.
Ryou squirmed, laughing out a "No!" even as he craned his neck to give Marik a better angle. He could feel the smile on Marik's lips as he worked up to his jaw and, eventually, ended by kissing his nose.
"You used to turn bright red whenever I even looked at you," Marik said fondly, brushing a thumb over Ryou's cheek.
As if on cue, his cheeks heated up, and Ryou averted his eyes. "This is still kind of hard to believe."
"That I like you?"
"No, I'm used to that." He flushed even harder, eyes widening. "Oh - that sounded conceited. Sorry, I guess it's just that... Even with all my quirks, you're still here. People are usually scared off once they get past me being 'cute'."
He held his breath as Marik sighed, lowering his hand to play with his hair again. "Alright. Point one: it's okay to sound conceited sometimes. It's nice to be humble, but you need to know your worth. Two: I'm not going to lie, physical attraction definitely played a part. But it's everything else that's made me want to stay. Anyone that didn't bother to get to know you beyond your looks is a fool."
Ryou's entire body was heating up as he talked, and he eventually had to cover his face with his hands. "You're trying to kill me on my birthday. This is really rude."
"I mean it. And the fact I'm the one that has to tell you this should be a crime." Marik paused, finally dropping his hair. "Although the ghost-hunting is kind of weird."
At that, Ryou peeked through his fingers, brows furrowed. "You don't have to come with me!"
"But I love that you love it. And the picnics are worth it."
"So it's my cooking that's keeping you around."
Marik gently grabbed his hands and pulled them away from his face. "A little." Ryou smiled and, to his own surprise, leaned forward to kiss him. Marik was also surprised if his hesitation was any indication. Eventually, he relaxed into it, entwining their fingers together. When he pulled away, he rested his forehead against Ryou's, his eyes crinkling playfully. "Happy birthday, hobi."
"Thank you," Ryou said, staring up at him and feeling incredibly lucky.
They fell asleep shortly after, tangling together in Ryou's full-sized bed. Marik didn't spend the night much, but when Ryou woke up in the morning with a faceful of blonde hair, Marik's legs and arms draped over him as he drooled on the pillows, he couldn't help but think that maybe, he should stay more often.

I Was Born To Love You
Hello My Tumblr Lovely's
Thanks so much for the love!
Here is the next part :)

“The music in his laughter had a way of rounding off the missing notes in her soul.”
The next morning, Robyn could tell Taron was giddy about his upcoming spa treatments and after they had eaten breakfast at the buffet, back in their room changed into their swimwear and made their way towards the spa. They were greeted by a pristine staff member who guided them to their personal room. Beautifully tiled, it was bright with light from a skylight above their heads, a pale sandy colour scheme running through the whole room. A jacuzzi was fixed into one side, a small waterfall flowing gently into the water, the sound echoing through the room. Two sun loungers were set to the side, blue cushions on them which matched the colours of the small square tiles that lined the jacuzzi and there was some easy listening music playing quietly through a speaker invisible to the eye. In front of the small pool were two curtains which contained a rainfall shower and further into the room, a counter with a full jug of water with lemon slices and cucumber in it. The room smelt fresh, clean and Robyn felt the nudge from Taron as they walked into their own private spa for the next few hours.
They followed the staff member who led them past the little pool and to the opposite side of the room from the main door.
“In here there is a heated jacuzzi you can use. Please be careful as you step in and hold the hand rail. Robes are just to the left and towels are rolled and on the shelf. There is also a mini fridge here which has a selection of beverages and a fruit bowl is on the table for you both too as well as the flavoured water and a few snacks. The main swimming pool is through the door opposite and there is access to the outdoor pool from the main pool. There is also a steam room and sauna at the main pool if you would like to use it.” The staff member gave them a smile. “You are booked for the morning until two pm. Mr Egerton your treatments will begin at ten thirty. Your facial will be first followed by the massage and your therapist will come to your room here to bring you to the therapy room. Miss Quinn, while I know you have no treatments booked, if you like to change your mind, there is a spa menu on the table and you can just let us know.”
Robyn shook her head. “I am going to take advantage of the swimming pools thank you.”
“Sure, no problem at all. Well please enjoy your morning and if you need anything at all, there is a phone there on the wall which connects right to reception.”
Once the door was closed, Robyn fully grinned as Taron did a cute little dance in a circle. “Happy?” She asked.
“Just a bit.” He replied. “A whole room to ourselves for a full morning and afternoon, with cucumber water, robes, a jacuzzi and mini fridge.” Dancing back over to her, he stole a quick lip kiss. “Thank you for booking this for us.”
“You are more than welcome. Dolphins for me and spa for you.”
“And two treatments too?” He grinned.
“Two.”
“Which you picked. Facial and massage? Should I be worried about what you choose? Or like I said last night, can you please be my therapist?”
She gave a chuckle. “No need to be worried. I picked two you will enjoy. A facial specifically for men’s skin and just a normal traditional massage. No hot stones or seaweed wraps.” She walked into his arms as he hugged her.
“And you are just going to swim? Are you not even tempted by a facial?”
“And scrub away my new freckles? Not a chance. The lady said there was an outdoor pool. I can swim and tan while you get a little pamper.”
With a kiss, they decided to take some time in the jacuzzi first, then moved to the soft blue beds to lay back and relax in their robes. When the therapist knocked on the door, Robyn got up to let her in and took her leave to the swimming pool. She didn’t mind at all that they were going to be separated for a little while. Taron deserved the treats and he had been so good following her around the aquarium, it was his turn for something he loved. There were a few other guests in the inside pool but Robyn headed for the one outside, no guests around as the heat of day beamed down and she breathed in the beautiful warmth around her. A little chilly at the first, the water in the outdoor pool was gorgeous and Robyn swam some easy lengths, taking her time and not over doing it. Still always aware of her anaemia, she took to a sun lounger after a while to soak up some more sun.
She knew Taron’s facial and massage would take about two hours and waited a little longer before going back to their room. Peaking in the door, Taron was alone and laying back on the soft blue cushion of the lounger by the jacuzzi. He was in the robe but it was open and his left arm was hanging off the side of the bed, his right leg bent at the knee. She walked over to him and just smiled at how peaceful his face looked. His face was a little red, his hair a mess too but content and worry free. She dropped the towel she had at the pool on the other chair and sat on his lounger on his right side. She was sure he felt the cushion move but his body didn’t react.
“That good huh?” She asked him, his lips lifting in a tiny half smile.
“Hmmm.”
“You get a head massage too?” She asked. “Your hair is a mess.”
“Nope. Just back.” He replied lazily.
Robyn placed her right hand on his chest and used her thumb to gently stroke over his heart, his chest lifting and falling in easy breathes. They were only five days into their ten-day sun holiday and already he was a golden-brown colour, similar to hers and she dragged her index finger down his stomach, teasing a little under his swim shorts, a peak of whiter skin on show. She loved the reaction he gave her, a little jump with his leg from the unexpected touch and she caught his eyes as they finally opened. His lifted his left hand to gently take her wrist, placing her hand on his chest, Robyn smiling at his actions. “Is now a good time to tell you I brought Stella’s bikini with me to the spa?”
Both of Taron’s eyes opened and he moved to sit up on his elbows. “Oh you did, did you?”
“Hmm yeah. Like I said, it is more suited for a private function.”
“Can’t get more private than a private spa for two.”
“It’s a once off and then a change back.”
“That bad” He asked, a half lobsided smile on his face.
“Just not for me but I thought you’d enjoy it.” She saw his eyes widen and his grin grow. “Give me five.”
Robyn stood up and grabbed her bag and headed for the bathroom. While she did call it a bikini it was really a one piece and Claire who had convinced her to bring it. She would never been seen in it in public. Actually she would never be seen it in at all but there was a little smile on her face as she fixed the so-called suit so it covered her body. There wasn’t a sign of a tan line on top with the way the material sat but as the lower half was not a traditional pants shape, the white tan line from her usual bikini bottoms were on show. Of course, Taron had seen all the tans line she had, and her his but the suit made it much more obvious. Black in colour, she adjusted it once more and then stepped out of the bathroom.
The wolf whistle made her blush and Taron was up on his feet, robe forgotten and he was by her side in seconds, his hands immediately on her bare waist. “I will have to send Stella a thank you note.” He said biting his lower lip. “Fuck me Robyn, that’s not a bikini. I don’t even know what this is.”
“It’s material that covers what it needs to cover.” She replied but her tone was light. Taron’s palms ran up and down her bare sides, his fingers crossing over the material that stopped below her belly button, up her stomach and towards her neck, his lips immediately replacing his fingers as he kissed chlorine scented skin. Her eyes closed and her breathing immediately changed and she pressed her hands onto his chest to give him a light push away. “And that is why this is needed for private.”
“You would get a very uneven tan if you wore this on the beach.” He chuckled.
Robyn’s laughter joined his. “So very true and why it has not been worn in public and will never be worn in public. It will probably not be worn again to be honest.”
“Really?” He asked.
“Really Taron. Not a suit suitable for any use at all.”
“I could quickly find a use for it.” He winked and dipped his head to kiss her neck again.
“Taron…”
“You know, as much as this is fun and…” He kissed her lips and was biting his lower lip again. “Well…” He took a long breathe. “Lots of fun.” He added. “Maybe we can do a private spa in our room and you can actually be my therapist and give me a head massage wearing this?” He rose an eyebrow her way with a gorgeous boyish grin on his face.
“You need to book in for that and I am afraid, I am all booked up at the moment.”
She squealed when he picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist, her hands around his neck and knew exactly where she was going, the splash a small one as he gently dropped her into the jacuzzi, Taron quickly following after her.
“All booked out?” He asked her as he pulled her onto his lap, his hands brushing wet hair from her face. “I had no idea you were so popular.”
“My head massages are renowned.” She giggled, her hands lifting straight away to his hair, her head tiling to the side. “Thought she didn’t touch your hair.”
“She didn’t.”
“Yeah, then why it is all oily?” Robyn asked. He opened his mouth to answer her but closed it again. “Yeah, that’s what I thought.” She leaned in to kiss his forehead. “But I can always make room for my favourite and only rocketman.” Kissing his lips, she got up from his lap. “I am going to put my suit back on. This is really not appropriate for a spa.” She climbed out of the jacuzzi but turned back to him. “I have a date this evening, but I am free after that.”
Taron only grinned as Robyn walked away, his eyes firmly on her back as she went, telling his whole body to calm down and relax. Daring, extremely revealing and so un-Robyn like, the suit was not what he was expecting at and he gave himself a mental note to thank Stella for it.
Robyn was back with him in a minute and joined him in the jacuzzi, pressing the button for the bubbles as they sat and chatted. As their time in the spa came to end, they folded their towels and placed their robes on the bed. Making sure they had everything they brought with them, took one last photo, Robyn trying to smooth Taron’s hair down but it was no use. They thanked all the staff and headed back to their room, deciding to do a quick change, go for lunch at the buffet and then make their way to the pool for a few hours, before getting ready for their date.
Robyn had no idea where they were going, Taron just saying it was dinner and as she routed through the clothes she had brought with her later that evening, picked a dress Stella had sent her. White with some pink flowers, it was pleated and went below her knees and tied around her neck. Pretty and feminine, it was perfect for a date night. She smiled into the mirror thinking about her dinner date. It had been a very long time since she had been asked on a date and nervous butterflies were low in her stomach. She told herself not to be stupid, it was just dinner with Taron but still, a date. Brushing her hair through, she left it straight and only added a brush of mascara through her lashes and a dap of nude lipstick to her lips. She had some nice sandals, again from Stella to finish her outfit off and standing up, smiled as Taron was buttoning his shirt. Dressed in black slacks and a patterned shirt, he looked as handsome as always.
“So where are we going?” She asked coming to sit beside him on the bed.
“Dinner.” Rolling her eyes, she lightly gave him a push, smiling as he kissed her cheek. “You will find out soon enough.” He looked back as his phone rang and on his feet, he walked to the locker. “Mam.”
“Answer it.” She told him. “I am just ready.” She headed for the bathroom and let Taron answer the call to his mam. Double checking her outfit and with a spritz of perfume, she made her way into the bedroom, a quiet bedroom. “Taron?” She called out but heard no answer so figured he was on the balcony again showing his sisters the view. It had been a treat for them to see the ocean from their hotel room, the sandy beach beside it, both begging to be brought for a visit so they could see the dolphins too. Robyn didn’t know when she would be back in Clearwater and was just determined to continue to enjoy their time together. They still had four days left by the ocean and had planned to do nothing more than sit on the beach for those days. Checking her phone, it was near seven-thirty and she wondered if Taron was near finished on the phone. Apart from dinner, the only other thing she knew was that the reservation was at eight. It was all she had managed to get out of him and figured they needed to leave soon if they wanted to make it.
Her head turned when she heard a knock on the door and guessing Taron hadn’t heard it as he was still on the phone, walked out of the bedroom to the door of their hotel room, opening it and stepped back with a surprise.
Taron stood leaning against the door, a bunch of vibrant flowers in his hands. “Ready for your date?” He asked.
“What on earth are you doing out there?” She asked, trying to keep the stupid grin from her face as he stood outside their hotel room, a gorgeous lobsided smile on his face.
“Picking up my date.” He replied handing her the flowers. “You look beautiful.” He said as he leaned in to kiss her cheek.
“You are a tosspot.”
“Your tosspot date for the night.” He chuckled. “So, you ready to go?”
Robyn smelt the flowers and nodded. “Sure. Thank you for these. They are gorgeous. Would you like to come in?” She stepped back and Taron chuckled as he walked into his own hotel room. “Let me pop these into some water.” A pint glass from the press was all she could find and once filled with water, placed the bouquet into the glass. “Taron these are so lovely. Thank you.”
“You are welcome cariad.”
“Let me get my bag and phone and we are all good to go.” Robyn left him and quickly picked up her bits, grabbing the card key from the counter as she walked past. “You left the room to come back again?”
“I had to collect my date.”
“Are you going to tell your date where we are going?” She asked as they left the room.
“Don’t you trust me?”
“With my life.” Robyn said firmly.
“Then I promise you that you will like it.” He assured her, taking her hand.
Outside the hotel, he guided her to the left and they walked two blocks before he took another left turn and stopped outside a restaurant. It was a way they had not wandered through yet and Robyn had not seen the restaurant before, but it looked really lovely from the outside, right on the beach. “After you.” He opened the door for her and once in, placed his hand on her lower back as they headed for the reception desk.
“Good evening. How can I help you.”
“I have a reservation under Egerton.”
After looking at her book, the hostess gave him a smile. “Sure, I have you here. Table for two. Great.” She picked up two menus. “If you would like to follow me, I will bring you to your table.”
Taron let Robyn go first, his hand still on her lower back and he could tell she was smiling as they reached their table. The outdoor section of the restaurant was lit with hundreds of white fairy lights and with no railing, their table was right by the sand, the moon reflecting on the ocean further out.
“Your server will be with you in a few, if you would like to take a seat.”
“Perfect. Thank you so much.”
“Sure. Have a nice meal.”
As the host walked away, Taron finally got to see Robyn’s face and as expected, she was grinning.
“You specifically asked for a table right on the sand so we could hear the ocean waves?”
“Only the best for my girl.” He answered as he pulled out her chair for her.
Robyn took her seat and draped her bag over the back of the chair, reaching for Taron’s hand over the table as he sat. “This is perfect.”
“It really is.”
Picking up their menu’s, they browsed the options, already deciding they were going to order whatever they wanted. It had been a long time since lunch and both were hungry and even though it was mainly a sea food restaurant, there were lots of great options both were considering. The server arrived at their table and took their drinks order, Taron insisting on a bottle of champagne for their special date. The ordered a starter and main each, Taron going for a fish option for both while Robyn chose chicken for her main. Arriving very quickly after they ordered, their starter was presented beautifully, while the main course was cooked perfectly and delicious and both cleared their plates with ease. When the server took their plates and asked about dessert, she didn’t even finish the sentence before Robyn said yes, Taron chuckling at her.
“Yes please.” Robyn said again. “I would love the dessert menu.”
“Sure. I will get it for you now.”
Taron was still grinning as she walked away. “Keen for dessert?” He asked.
Robyn nodded. “Yes. Everything has been so yummi, I can only imagine how nice dessert will be and I am not sharing before you ask.”
His grin turned to a chuckle. “I wouldn’t even dare ask.”
“Good ‘cos I am not.”
“Well cariad that means you can’t have mine either.”
“That’s absolutely fine.”
“And two dessert menus.” The server came back to them and placed a menu in front of each of them. “Our special dessert today is a key lime pie cheesecake served with mascarpone cream and a lime curd dressing.”
Robyn’s eyes widened as she looked to Taron as the server told them about the dessert special.
“I guess you don’t need the menu then.” He joked as he picked up his to look through the other options. “They have a chocolate caramel fudge cake too.”
“Oh no…” Robyn opened the menu and found another four options she wanted to have.
“Just get both.” Taron suggested. “May as well.”
“Both?”
“Why not. I know you want to get the key lime pie thing and caramel is your favourite so get both.”
“What are you going to get?” She asked.
“I think I will go with the tiramisu but the mini doughnut holes also sound really good.”
“Get both.” Robyn grinned.
“So, what can I get you?”
Ordering two desserts each, they knew it was probably a terrible idea but they were on holiday and on their first date so it was a very special occasion and when the four plates arrived, the host took a photo when Robyn asked, wanting a nice memory for her wall of photos.
Even though they both had a starter and main, they managed to finish every crumb of cake they had ordered, Taron sitting back with his hands on his stomach, sighing very happily.
“Taron this was a most perfect meal. Thank you so much for our date.”
Leaning forward in his chair, he reached over to take Robyn’s hand and agreed. “Most perfect first date.” During their meal, a guitarist and female singer had been entertaining the guests with easy listening songs and now the mood had changed a little more romantic and as he watched Robyn’s hair blow gently in the breeze, his heart was completely taken by the woman in front of him and he had a sudden urge to just dance with her. Getting to his feet, he walked onto the sand and around the table and held his hand out to her. “Dance with me.” He simply said as the musicians started to play one of his favourite love songs by Forest Blakk and he had to get her up to dance with him. “Come on cariad, dance with me.”
Robyn looked at his out stretched hand and then to the band that was playing and back to Taron. She couldn’t tell what it was that made her get to her feet: the champagne, the music, the most wonderful evening or just him but she took his hand, kicked off her sandals and let Taron lead her onto the sand beside their table, slipping her arms around his shoulders and her right hand into his left which was waiting in the air. It was a simple little waltz they started a in a slow circle to the beat of the song, around and around, their eyes locked together as they moved. She vaguely heard the musicians invite other to join them in their dance, and could see people watching as they moved to the music but her focus was solely on Taron. Green eyes bright in the lights of the restaurant, his body was beautifully warm and he pulled her closer into him as the second verse started, making it so easy for her to lay her head on his shoulder as his arms wrapped tighter around her. From the corner of her eye, she could see others had joined them on the sand and it was a really sweet moment to see all the couples dancing to the beautiful song.
Taron pulled away for a little and giving her a grin reached out his hands for the waltz position again and Robyn laughed loudly as he guided them in a huge circle around the sand, both taking large steps still in time to the music, sand kicking up a little around them as they waltzed together until he stepped into her and wrapped his arms around her to lift her up, Robyn’s hands going to his cheeks and around to the back of his neck as he gently placed her down. Swaying slowly now, as the song ended, Robyn didn’t care that whole restaurant was watching them, she had to give him a soft kiss on his lips, another on his nose and finally his forehead, whispering I love you to him, hearing him say back to her immediately.
Dance over, they went back to their table, grinning with the other guests who had also gotten to their feet for a dance, smiling more when the musicians started another beautiful song.
“I think it might be time for the check.” Taron said as he motioned to their server.
“I think that is good idea.” Robyn agreed, not even questioning him as he paid for their meal.
Leaving a tip on their table and thanking the musicians as they walked past, hand in the hand they strolled back to their hotel and once in their room, Robyn pulled Taron to her to kiss him slowly and deeply, one hand going to his hair, the other to his back pocket of his trousers.
“So it has reached that part of the evening.” He murmured against her lips.
“I believe you booked a head massage.”
“Hmmm…” Taron’s head lowered as she scratched his scalp. “I believe I did and it came with a special outfit for the therapist to wear.” He smirked as he dipped to kiss her neck.
“Oh it did, did it?”
“Hmmm… yes, a black one.” He confirmed.
Robyn lifted his head from her neck and kissed his lips once more. She slipped around him and placed the do not disturb sign on their door, closing it again and locking it. “If sir would like to strip down and get comfortable on the bed, I will be with him momentarily.”
“Yes ma’am.” Taron grinned, Robyn walking away from him and to the bathroom and once she was gone, he quickly pulled off his shoes and socks, followed by his trousers and shirt, everything falling onto the ground in a heaped mess. Crawling up onto the bed, he sat up in the pillows and was already tingling from head to foot, his boxers tightening with each passing second.
His head turned as the bathroom door opened, jaw dropping as Robyn came out in the swimsuit Stella had picked for her. He had seen it before but it still made his whole body heat up quickly and she slowly walked over to him, climbed up onto the bed, creeped across to him, and straddled his lap as he sat.
“So one head massage?”
“Yeah… yes.” Taron agreed with a little stutter as her two hands went into his hair, her fingers digging so gorgeously into his scalp. His head dipped and groaned as Robyn increased the pressure on his hair, while she tightened her knees around his waist. He had the perfect view of her body and his hands slipped around her back, his own fingers rubbing up and down her spine, over her thighs and around to her bum, the sparse material of suit meaning it was just skin he was touching.
Robyn was finding it increasingly difficult to sit still as Taron’s hands caressed her back and legs and she moved her hands to the back of his neck, rolling her thumbs into his skin. She knew her breathing had changed and she could feel Taron’s heart beating fast as her hands ran down his chest, moving them up to his cheeks so she could cup his face to kiss him.
“Did I mention that this is a very special type of massage that comes with extra perks?” She whispered to him as his hands wandered under the front of her suit. “And they are free.”
She caught Taron’s groan with a kiss and squished herself hard against him, their bodies moulding together.
Sometime later, Robyn had scolded Taron when he added more than half the bottle of bubble bath to their bathtub, but as they lay together in a mountain of bubbles covered to their chin, she had to admit it was a good idea in the end.
“So tomorrow…” She said rubbing his forearm under the water. “I think we should work on our tans at the beach.”
“I like that idea very much.” Taron agreed, his eyes closed, so content in every way possible right now but he sat up a little and turning to her, took her hands under the water. “But I was thinking of something else.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.” Taron turned completely to face her. “I know I can’t go back, not yet but you need to.”
Robyn moved in the water so she could face him better and looked to him confused. “Sorry, I am a bit lost.”
Taron took a deep breath. “The 7/11 Robyn. You need to go back and I want you to.”
“What are you talking about.”
“If you go home and have not had the chance to go back to the store and get the closure you need, you will not be able to stop thinking about how close you were to really clearing your mind over it all. I want you to go to the 7/11 tomorrow and have the closure you need.”
“Taron…”
“I can’t go Robyn but you have to. Go and see Maggie and then come back to me at the beach.”
“Taron no.” Robyn sat up in the water and cupped his left cheek. “It is not what I want to do.”
“But it is cariad and I am not angry or upset or annoyed or anything like that because it something you need to do for you.” He took her hand from his cheek and placed it over his heart. “I know it means a lot to you to go back and you mean everything and more to me, so go and take your time and talk to Maggie and bring me back some turtles.”
The floor was covered in water and bubbles as Robyn threw herself at him to hug him tight, Taron gripping his arms around her wet body firmly. “Thank you Taron. I don’t know if I will go in and I don’t know if I will even make it past the car park but there is just something itching inside me that I need to go and see and try and just finally know if it is the last piece of the whole thing that I need to do and I will be back to you in no time and I won’t talk about any of it and I will give you a thousand head massages before the week is out and…”
“And you don’t need to give me anything. I just had some time to think today and I realised that while yes, it’s not something I need, you do and that’s important to me Robyn because you are important to me. I can chill on the beach and you can come to me when you are done.” He brushed wet hair from her face. “If it helps ease the last of the pain you carry around because of the 7/11 then you have to do it. It is late now but maybe send Maggie a text and tell her you can meet her tomorrow and maybe, the earlier the better?” He suggested with a shrug. “Just so ya know, it is quieter and you don’t have to go through any crowd’s when you get there and it is ok to not go in too.”
Robyn placed her hands on Taron’s cheeks and kissed him gently. “I love you.”

Chloe scoffed dramatically before chuckling to herself. Reaching for a towel, she pulled the toilet seat down and folded it so it would be waiting for her immediately after getting into the warm shower. She hated feeling cold, and showing in those colder temperatures were always her least favourite times of the year. "That you did," she winked. "Try a week," she returned remembering their conversation from the night before. Being able to talk about him mom so freely didn't carry the weight it once did. The admiration Chloe felt for Grace was unlike anything else she'd felt before. She felt like she owed the woman the cost of a therapy session. Facing Kade, she smirked gently, "Miss Redwood?" chuckling lightly, looking up at him "I promise to give you time to recover. Mr. Conroy." she replied finally seeing a little steam from the shower she tested the temperature before stepping in, "You coming?"
"You, I'm accusing you." He said pointedly as he watched her walk toward the bathroom. There was no doubt about the fact that he was staring. After a moment he picked himself up and trailed behind her, catching a glimpse of himself in the mirror as she continued to tease him about fooling around. "Did I not just satisfy your needs?" He looked a little worse for the wear, small bags under his eyes, but not too terrible considering the state he'd been in last night. Waiting for the other shoe to drop, for this wonderful morning to turn sideways because of him, was awful. If he kept it positive surely he'd be fine, right? "Knowing my mom we're not going back to set for at least a couple days." She was likely worried about him, more so than she'd revealed to Chloe last night but Kade had also missed the entire conversation so there was a chance she'd revealed her concern. "Not all the time, no. But I might need some time to recover between rounds, Miss Redwood."

A few days pass, but the guilt never truly leaves Hazel’s mind. Even when she meets with a relieved Mr. Sato. He seems beyond happy to know that she’s okay. Although, Hazel thinks there might be something else on his mind. All she’s been doing is going over previous packages and transactions and all that bullshit from the KDF, but then Hayao says he’d like to visit her. She can’t deny him that.
For maybe the second time, in eight hours, she stands up from her seat, no longer staring at her screen like a madwoman. She’s quick to walk across her whole place and unlock the door to welcome in Mr Sato. Who doesn’t seem to have a smile on his face. No glint in his eyes, nothing. Hazel thinks it would be really impolite if she asks him as soon as he enters, so she makes a mental note to ask him after she’s at least got him a cup of tea.
She has him sit down on the couch, and he sighs. Hazel frowns. “Would you like a cup of tea, uncle?” she asks. When he looks up, she smiles softly.
He nods, not uttering a word. That doesn’t make her feel particularly great. Oh, they were going to have a full debunking therapy session. She’s humming softly as she brews his tea, the silence from his side is unnerving. Because he usually isn’t like this. And Hazel really wonders what’s gotten to him so bad.
When she returns with the cup of steaming tea, he thanks her quietly. She sits down beside him, and tilts her head to get a good look at his face.
“What’s wrong, uncle?”
She doesn’t know how to react, because if porcelain shattering into pieces could be an expression, it might have been his right about now.
He tells her over multiple sips and minutes spent in silence about how his son was partying right after a magnificent beast died, and how he thought that Hayao didn’t look for his mother. And Hazel didn’t think Ken was like that. Maybe he was really confident, but this… was insensitive. In many ways. Maybe karma’s been getting to him, because all of his games recently have been shit.
“And he’s been struggling…” Mr. Sato whispers, sighing right afterwards.
“With his games? Yeah,” Hazel says. Hayao turns to her, and he’s looking at her inquisitively. Oh. “I’ve been watching his games, my best friend really likes baseball.” She scratches the back of her neck.
Thankfully, Mr. Sato looks much more light, much happier than when he walked in. Hazel smiles at him, and he smiles back.
He places a hand on her shoulder, a bit shaky, but it’s fine. “Thank you, for listening to me.”
“It’s nothing, uncle.”
The atmosphere with Mr. Sato was nice, mellow. But with Maple? She’s raging about how bad Ken’s games have been. She thinks he might be sick. He looks exhausted, she says. Which, he does, alright, but Hazel thinks she might be looking into it too much.
“Did you see when—” Maple starts, again. Hazel knows exactly what she’s about to refer to. Yes, she’s seen it.
She sighs, “yeah, I have.” She repeats.
Maple seems heartbroken, enraged, and everything in between. Ami is worried, but also seems curious. Hazel spends a decent bit of her time debunking baseball games with Ami, Chiho interrupting randomly.
It’s one of those days where neither Ami, nor Maple are there to keep her busy. And as per Mr. Sato’s requests, she’s been researching less, because apparently, she needs to maintain her eyesight. So, she can’t find enough things to do, outside of spending her time planning future speeches, or writing—More like jotting down the random scenarios that pop up in her head.
Moments like these are when she realises just how pointless of a person she may actually be. When she feels like she needs to be doing something, but is doing, nothing.
The thought taunts her, dilly-dally’s around her mind, and she huffs, fighting the urge to rot on her phone. She’s already taken a walk, contemplating calling up Mr. Sato and ask up more about his origins, but she talks herself out of it.
Thankfully though, a call comes to her rescue, or that’s what Hazel thinks. She’s about to pick up, but then she notices the caller ID and her heart’s in her throat. Why is Ken Sato calling her? She’s willing to believe it’s a mistake, that he’ll realise within the next few seconds that he’s probably ringing up the wrong person, but when the persistent ringing echoes through her room, she hovers her finger over the button, finally pressing down.
“Hello…?” she whispers, not sure why she’s talking at a whisper, but doing it anyway. She isn’t expecting the huff of annoyance from the other side, but doesn’t bring it up.
Finally, there’s silence. “Hey, Ami—”
Oh, he thinks he called Ami. She doesn’t say anything. But she’s sure Ken’s realised because of the silence in her background. There’s no babbling from Chiho, or the sound of a T.V playing, none of that.
“Oh, shit. You’re not—”
Hazel can’t help the laugh that leaves her. “No, I’m not Ami.” But wait, how does he have her number in the first place? She has his, alright, but it can’t go the other way around.
“Uh, I’m so sorry—” he starts, and the way he’s unravelling is a bit amusing to Hazel. Still, she asks him how in the fuck he has her number because that… she does not like. “Ami gave it to me.”
She is going to talk to Ami about this.
“Oh,” is all she says though, and she sighs.
She won’t lie, it’s a bit awkward, but it’s fine, because at least her thoughts aren’t getting to her right now. Even though there’s a few moments of silence between them as Ken finds his words, her mind isn’t talking. She’s focused on listening to him.
So… coffee?” he asks.
She’s smiling at her phone. “You don’t need to worry about that, you look like you’re suffering enough these days, anyway.”
Ken laughs nervously on the other side. “Yeah, I have. It’s been tough, but I’m going to show Shimura what I’ve got, why exactly I’m a giant.”
At the spike of determination in his voice, Hazel’s intrigued. It’s adorable. “I sure hope—I think you will.” She isn’t a die-hard baseball fan, but she has a belief in Ken, even if… he gets beaten up once or twice.
“How’re your injuries faring?” she asks, trying to continue the conversation before she feels weird about what she said to him.
He hums in contemplation, and it finally seems that he’s past the initial awkwardness. “Doing all good now, why do you ask?”
Hazel can hear the smirk through the phone, but she also doesn’t regret asking him. “What? I can’t ask a guy if he’s taking care of himself?”
“I mean, of course you can, but—” he starts. Hazel laughs, shaking her head.
“Yeah, well, whatever, shut it.” He does in fact shut up, but it’s just to humour her. “I might grace you with my presence,” she says, rolling her eyes at her own choice of words. Which only seems to amuse him. He hums.
“When would you like me to pick you up, my lady?” Hazel’s sure he only used that pet name to play into the conversation, but she likes it.
It takes her a moment to register his question, but then she looks out of her window. “Woah, there’s no need for that, I can drive myself.”
“Hey, let me be a gentleman?” he says, and it sounds like he stands up because she hears a creak in the background. Then she hears footsteps. He’s probably walking around? She can’t tell.
“Nah, I can do it myself.” She shrugs. She doesn’t know how she’s gotten so friendly with Ken, but here they are. Maybe he’s charismatic (he most definitely is, she just doesn’t want to accept it, yet.)
When she ends the call, she has to sit there for a moment, wondering if she’s done the right thing, or not. But before she reaches a point where she’s just sulking, she calls up Maple. Although, she should’ve known that letting slip why she seemed to be so ‘cheerful’ might send her best friend into what she could only call a frenzy.
Now she has to deal with said frenzy.

Afraid / Part 3: An Unexpected Revelation
Wade fears for your safety and learns something about you he never would’ve expected.
Wade returns to Office D the next morning to find that you’re not there. He looks around the room. Nothing’s out of place, sure, but… He starts to panic. Where else could you be? It’s too late for breakfast, too early for lunch.
He slinks out, trying to play it cool as he searches for Logan. Maybe you’re debriefing him.
He finds him outside smoking a cigar, of course.
“Do you know where Levi is?”
“What, she’s not in the office?”
“No,” Wade says. “Fuck, who knows where she could be? Goddammit, did we compromise her somehow? Who would come for her?”
“I don’t know, but it’s best if we talk to the professor for next steps.”
“Does he even know about this?”
Logan’s face falls.
“Not the extent of it, according to her. Don’t talk about anybody killing anybody. Especially her. Maybe I should go on my own.”
“No,” Wade blurts. “I’ll be a good boy! C’mon, it’s about time he and I properly met!”
“Whatever, fine. Let’s go.”
And so they head on their merry way to Xavier’s office.
The door is open, so they help themselves.
Xavier greets them with a chuckle.
“She’s the swimming instructor, gentlemen. She’s at work.”
“Oh, yeah, she did say she coached swimming…” Wade remembers.
“You- You were all in a tizzy and you knew?!”
“I went to the office and it was empty! I panicked! She’s usually holed up in there all day!”
“School is back in session,” Charles informs him, before sighing. “Do you know where the pool is?”
“I do,” Logan says. “Sorry to have bothered you.”
“No, it’s quite alright.” Charles smiles, and the corners Logan’s grimace turn up a bit.
“Well, I’m gonna go yell at her for not telling us. Are you coming with me?” Wade asks petulantly.
“If you don’t mind, Mr. Wilson, keep the swearing to a minimum. There will be children present,” Charles warns him.
“Oh, of fucking course I’ll keep my shitty little potty mouth to an absolute fucking minimum. I’m not some sort of shit-for-brains asswipe cu-”
“Wade!” Logan hisses. “C’mon.”
Wade follows merrily alongside his best bro and the subject of 89% of his wet dreams to the indoor pool.
“In my timeline, this was only ever used for physical therapy for Charles. It’s nice that it gets more use than that.”
“What’s she all made up for?” Wade asks once he catches sight of you smiling and swinging your arm, kindly correcting someone’s form.
“What do you mean? If anything, she’s dressed down in that tracksuit.”
“No, her face, she’s wearing makeup.”
“Yeah, bub. Like always.”
“No, normally she doesn’t wear any. I actually thought it was kind of refreshing.”
Logan gasps sharply in realization.
“You’re immune. So, if she was using her abilities to make it look like she was wearing makeup instead of actually putting it on, you wouldn’t be able to see it. Huh. You any good at drawing?”
“The best, of course. Why?”
“It could be more than just makeup. If she’s projecting some sort of mass delusion to cover her appearance, you might be the only person who actually knows what she looks like.”
“Oh. How about that?”
“I’m not doing that, y’know,” one of the students says, arms perched on the ledge of the pool. “Faking my appearance. But you were spot on with the makeup thing. Took a while for it to occur to me that he was seeing me without a lick of makeup. I’d rather be caught dead.”
“Levi?”
“Indeedy. Mind control, people, get with the program. You may be immune to me directly, Wade, but I’m everywhere. Watch yourself.”
The student shakes her head like she’s clearing an etch-a-sketch.
“Don’t worry, she asked permission first. It’s kinda nice, actually. Like floating.”
“And how do we know it’s you saying that?” Wade wonders. The water bubbles around the student. “Damn, kid, you’ve got a lot of ga-”
“Coach Levi isn’t like that,” the student replies in a warning tone, a severe frown on her face as steam rises. “She saved my life! You have no idea what she’s done for me and so many other people. That place-”
“Leila, dear, calm down. Those two are new members of my team; they’re gonna be helping people like you, too,” you say as you approach. “They don’t know me. Take a couple of laps before you evaporate the pool, okay?”
“But Coach-”
“No buts, Leila. Work on your butterfly stroke, okay? It’s fine.”
“It’s not fair. Why is everybody so scared of you when you’re the only one looking out for some of us?”
“I’m not the only one. He was trying to look out for you, too, can’t you see that?”
Leila’s frown becomes more somber.
“Oh. I guess so. Sorry, Deadpool,” she admits before swimming away.
“It’s cool! You were right, too! Now onto you. I was worried sick about you! I was about to start printing missing posters and shit! Why didn’t you tell me-?!”
He’s cut off by your laughter.
“I told you I coached. Did you think I didn’t have a day job?”
“Well- Well- You didn’t say when! I went to the office looking for you and you were just gone!”
Your laughter fades into a smile.
“Well, I’m here. I’m usually here or in the office. I do have a room, but… Half the time I just sleep in the office.”
“Okay.”
“Okay,” you reply. “Was that it?”
“Yup,” Logan answers for him. “He was worried about you, Levi. Real worried.”
“I understand that,” you say, sounding irritated. “Anyways, I was able to get access to some new videos and other records. I have a couple of captures for you, Wade, and a lead on a new facility in Maine for you, Logan. You may be able to stop them before they even start.”
“Cool,” Wade says, realizing just how ridiculous he was being. Why was he so frantic? It’s not like there was a sign of a struggle or anything, but the idea of not knowing where you were, what you were doing, if you were okay… It really bothered him.
“Oh, and some nights I haunt a gay bar out of town. So if you go to the office or my room and I’m not there, that’s where I am.”
Logan snorts.
“What? I’m serious.”
He wheezes.
“You’re the head of a covert operation who coaches swimming and ‘haunts’ a gay bar.”
“Yeah? And?” you ask.
“I think it’s cool!” Wade declares.
“No, no, it is, but… You are exactly what I would expect you to be,” Logan explains, laughter subsiding as he claps you on the shoulder. You stiffen, blinking at him before smiling.
“Huh?” Wade wonders.
“Go find something to do, both of you. I’ve got kids to coach.”
“Right!” Wade chirps, and two of them make their leave. “I didn’t know there was a gay bar so close. We totally have to go and cockblock her, right? It’d be hilarious.”
“Bit old for that, aren’t we?”
“Nah, all those twinks with daddy issues will be all over us! Well, you. I’ll just be there for the music, I suppose.”
“I joke and stuff, but it’s really not that bad. You could always tell people you were a firefighter. Firefighters are sexy.”
“Firefighters are-?! Oh, sweet mother of fuck, I gotta go get a firefighter costume. BRB!”
He scurries away, not to get a firefighter costume, of course, but to avoid saying anything stupid. It’s really not that bad? The only person who ever said that to him was Vanessa.
His phone rings. It’s an unsaved number, so he lets it go to voicemail. Time for lunch!
“Mom… Why doesn’t Dad like me?” you asked one day, not long before your mutation presented itself.
“What? Sweetheart, your dad loves you!” your mom squealed. Sweetheart. She called you that more than your name. Said even when you were a baby, you cried when others cried, even characters on TV. You had the sweetest heart, according to her.
“I know. But he doesn’t seem to like me very much.”
“That’s nonsense. He’s just tired, that’s all. I’m sure it’d break his heart if he heard you say that.”
“I already asked him. He didn’t seem heartbroken. If anything, he seemed relieved. He said it wasn’t my fault, he’s just never felt connected to me like he thought he should. He said you knew that. Why lie?”
“Y/N Marigold Levi,” your mother sternly said. But she didn’t say anything after. She just burst into tears.
“I’m sorry, Mom. I didn’t mean to make you cry. I just thought… If you know that, then you might know how I can fix it. Be a better version of myself that he can like.”
She cried harder.
“There’s nothing you can do. Just keep having that sweet heart of yours and he’ll realize one day… He’ll realize that you’re- You’re his one and only child, okay? And he’ll realize that he’s missed out on everything. That’s why it’s so important to write in your diary, so you can tell him all about you.”
It’s that night when Wade listens to his voicemail.
“Wade, I got this number from your Facebook, I hope it’s still you. It’s Cheryl, Cheryl Jones, well, it used to be Hawthorne… There’s something I need to tell you. Please, call me back as soon as you can.”
Just as he’s about to call her back, a scream tears through the night. He runs towards the sobs that follow it without thinking, adrenaline spiking even higher than it already was.
He finds himself in the adult dormitories and busts down the locked door to find… You, your face buried in your hands.
“Fuck,” he hisses.
You jolt, and at least a billion little trinkets all rush in his direction before freezing in midair once you realize it’s him. They drift back into place.
“What are you doing here?” you pant, still trying to catch your breath.
“What am I doing here?! Where the hell is everybody-?! …Else. Right. Uh, look, are you gonna be okay? I’ve got some shit to deal with, my ex-girlfriend calls me for the first time, like, since smartphones have been invented, and she has something she needs to tell me. I need to call her back, like, now.”
“Cheryl Jones?” you ask.
“Yeah, how’d you…? Wow, you really meant everything. But, wait, how’d you know it was her specifically?”
“Look, there are things I know about you that you don’t even know about yourself, okay? I had to wait until… I have to wait until I know you’re ready. And I don’t think you are, not yet. Just trust me for now, okay? Don’t call her back.”
“What is it? Can you give me a hint?”
“Not really. Anything I’d say, you’d figure it out right away… But I’ll tell you now, you’re going to hate me once you know. And I like having you as a friend.”
“I like having you as a friend, too,” he admits.
“No one’s endangered by this, not even you. It’s a tree falling in the forest kind of thing. Just kind of a big tree.”
“You promise?”
“I do,” you reply.
“You can’t even look me in the eyes. In fact, whenever it’s just us, you can’t.”
“Oh, that’s because- Here, I’ll just…” You dig around in your nightstand before pulling out a glasses case, taking the glasses out, and putting them on. “I can’t see when it’s just us. I actually have terrible eyesight, I just- I didn’t know for a while because I was subconsciously using other people to see before my mutation fully kicked in.”
“No fucking way,” he says.
“Way,” you reply with a giggle, meeting the eyes of his mask. You were telling the truth, then.
“Why hide it? They actually suit you, make you look as smart as you are.”
“It’s a weakness,” you remind him. “You’re the only person who knows except for Miss Frost. Eloise used to know, but… Yeah.”
“I’m honored,” he says with a bow. “Wanna talk about that nightmare?”
“Mm, not really. I’ve only ever had nightmares, so… I’m used to dealing with it by myself.”
“Right. I’ll head out, then. Just text me if you need anything, ‘kay?”
“‘Kay,” you reply, smiling. “Thanks, Wade.”
“No problem. Nighty-night!”
Your eighteenth birthday was a simple affair. No party, you didn’t want one. You never wanted one after the hearing, but this year even less so. You knew what was coming. The idea of one last hurrah just made you feel pathetic.
“I have a present for you. Come to my office,” Miss Frost mentally summoned you, interrupting your brooding. It was just recently decided that after you and Ellie graduated, she wouldn’t be a direct advisor to any of the students again — just an English teacher. You weren’t sure why. Maybe Ellie complained about her too much, after all, that’s why she was passed off to Colossus.
You joined Miss Frost in her office, and there stood a petite woman with mid-length dark hair and eyes nearly as dark. Her cheekbones and lips looked like they’d been hand carved by God herself.
She looked kind of like Eloise, but also nothing like her.
“This is Jessica Jones, owner and operator of Alias Investigations. Give her the paper. I know you have it on you.”
You blinked.
“Alright,” you replied softly, passing the paper to her. She unfolded it and looked it over.
“It’s not much, but it’s something to go off of. Alright, come with me. But no mind-fuckery, got it?”
“Yes, ma’am,” you replied quickly.
Jessica hit a dead end a couple weeks later, but you used the tricks she taught you in addition to your so-called “mind-fuckery” to follow the breadcrumbs leading straight to Weapon X. In your investigation, you crossed paths with Logan.
It wasn’t until months later, almost a year, that you finally found him as you looked at videos to compare them with missing person’s reports.
X-11, originally known as Wade Wilson.
You gasped, and every lightbulb in the house shattered. You’d known about your telekinesis before then, but it wasn’t very strong. Before everything that went down with your adoptive parents, no one even thought you might be capable of it.
But you’d find in the coming years that you were capable of a lot.
