I think it’d be fun to make a whole sort of movie night where you do foods from/inspired by what’s on screen. As there is a lot of food that shows up and you wouldn’t have to get too “representative”
However I’ve never eaten baloney and I’m not about to start now no matter how good a fried sandwich is (according to my dads claims) BUT it could be fun to plan, sort of like the sketch page I did.
Idk I like details

I watched Troy over the weekend, loved seeing Brad Pitt as Achilles - what a brilliant casting. AHHHHH
But there is one thing that bugs me to no end every time I watch the movie, as sexy as it is Brad eats a turkey leg!!!!!!
In the Mediterranean in 13th century BCE! unbelievable like genuinely crazed. It throws me out of the movie every time because of its sheer incredulity.

When I was young I always enjoyed those meal combos they had at the movies. The little boxes they put them in too were always a vibe 😌✨️

Tex Mex Nachos
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TexMex is where it's at. The best part about this recipe is that everything can be done a day or so ahead. When it's time to eat, it takes 15 minutes or less to combine and cook.
Salsa or Pico:
Tomato, onion, jalapeño, lime juice, 1 small clove of garlic. Parsley (I don't like cilantro) S+P. Blend a few table spoons and mix it together. I like it chunky. Let it sit overnight so everything gets to know each other.
Meat Sauce:
Ground beef. Brown. Drain grease. Add Taco seasoning.
Add a heaving spoonful of salsa to the meat. Add a splash of water, stir in some chicken bullion. Take off heat. Add a dollop of sour cream. Heat until cheese is melted, and meat sauce is thick. Pour onto nachos.
Top with whatever. Eat. I recommend lettuce, salsa, and sour cream. Guacamole if you like that.
Delicious.
This stems from watching Nacho Libre and wanting brown slop on some chips. I swear there was one scene where it looked good, well hot, but going back, I think I'm combining two movies' food scenes.
