Top Semblances in RWBY

I've never seen anyone talking much about the Semblances, I have gone to see the profiles of some RWBY characters on the website: rwby.fandom.com/wiki/Semblance

Some semblances are real shit, like in My Hero Academia where there is an extremely strong Quirk and others that are completely useless.

This list will not be from strongest to weakest or best to worst, I'm going to make a numbered list.

1 - Aura Amp, user Jaune Arc, in RWBY, the person who has the most aura reserves can be considered a GOD! Jaune has the best Semblance in terms of aura, which allows him to improve not only his own Aura, but also the Auras of other people. Not only this, but Jaune is able to restore a person's aura completely, If the person's aura has been broken.

Your Semblance will improve the Shield, Healing, Physical abilities, and Semblances of others, If the topic is aura, then Jaune has the best semblance for it.

I have already criticized this semblance because I thought it was very bad, but after studying the aura a bit, I saw that this is the best semblance. It is related to the aura.

2 - Tranquility, user Lie Ren, At various times, Ren's Appearance has proven very useful, against Grimms Grimms, it's a wonder he can go through multiple Grimms as if he just didn't exist. If Ren were to be an assassin, he would probably be the best one, the evolution of his Semblance is not very good for him, but if he were to become manipulative, it would be perfect.

3 - Polarity, user Pyrrha Nikos, It allowed Pyrrha to control the magnetism of metallic objects. Do I need to explain?

In the world of RWBY Gun-weapon where the vast majority are made purely of metal, Pyrrha's semblance is a wonder.

4 - Overactive Imagination, user Neopolitan/Trivia Vanille. Neo proved to be extremely adept at using her appearance. She used it on several occasions,

After the evolution of your semblance in Ever Alter (which may or may not have affected your Semblance ) your illusions that could not be touched before now become real.

Becoming capable of creating numerous tangible clones of herself or others and even replicate the abilities and weapons of those she copy. She can also grant her clones the ability to speak with the voices of the original. If her illusions could use people's semblance it would be greatly broken.

5 - Numbing Agent, user Hazel Rainart, allowed him to be completely insensitive to pain. I don't need to say anything else, for a Berserker this semblance is heaven on earth.

6 - Aura Disruption, user Tyrian Callows, so aura for Tyrain is even something that nothing, he completely ignores the aura, at least if the person is wearing armor, some other protection other than an aura, it is death.

7 - Photographic Memory, user Velvet Scarlatina, The name is self-explanatory, It allows her to mimic people's moves, including their fighting style.

8 - Beast Mode, user Fenix Nemean, ( Fenix Nemean is a character that appears in RWBY: The Grimm Campaign ) it allows him to transform himself into a beast like state that enhances his abilities.

Beast Mode allows Fenix to enter a berserker rage, increasing his physical capabilities. This can be triggered at will, but will also be triggered automatically if Fenix is afraid or extremely angry. However, he can be forced out of it if he becomes charmed, incapacitated, stunned, or unconscious. When he enters Beast Mode, it becomes harder for him to maintain his humanity.

Fenix's transformation has been described as visually similar to Hazel's transformation from injecting Dust crystals into his body, achieving greater musculature temporarily while giving into his primal instincts

9 - Telekinesis, user Glynda Goodwitch, this woman used her semblance in basically all of her appearances during volumes 1 to 3.

Then she became an unforgettable character.

10 - Invisibility Field, user May Marigold, It allows her to create a movable field of invisibility that makes things inside unseen.

11 - Pocket Dimensions, user Fiona Thyme, It allows her to absorb and hold objects inside of a personal pocket dimension.

Her Semblance seemingly allows her to absorb and store matter into herself through the palm of her hand. The exact upper limits to how much she can absorb are unknown, though Fiona has displayed the capacity to absorb an entire cargo truck complete with its cargo. One limitation appears to be that she must physically touch the object that she is absorbing. Fiona is able to then release said stored matter in whole.

12 - Mind Control, user Jax Asturias, It allows him to control the minds of others.

Mind Control allows Jax to dominate the wills of others he makes physical contact with. This is typically achieved by telepathically influencing their minds in the form of pushing a subconscious suggestion to them.

Jax is able to use his Semblance on multiple people at a time, with its effects lasting for extended periods of time, lasting from weeks to even months. When used on others, their Auras take on a nearly identical appearance to his own.

This list was made based on my personal opinion, you can research the Semblances and make your own list but be minimally coherent.

For example, Nora's Semblance is good, but that's the problem. She can't handle large amounts of electricity, she still feels pain, and as shown in volume 8 when you can see the large amount of electricity she fell unconscious.

Adam and Yang, Both have Semblances similar, the difference is Adam needs to use weapons and Yang needs to take damage, as soon as Adam loses his weapons it's over for him his semblance is useless.

Yang has a higher risk because in addition to taking damage, she runs the risk of having her aura broken. That is why your semblance is a double-edged knife.

I must remember that all semblances feed on the aura.

Hell Event

From July 12th to the 27th, the hell event The Four Seasons will be running!

It has a very bizarre format where every suit except Winter is locked. You must pull 20 times in Winter to unlock the Spring suit, 40 times in Winter or Spring to unlock the Summer Suit, and 80 times in Winter, Spring, or Summer to unlock the Autumn suit.

As this is a pavilion hell, the cost will vary, but the average cost is between 4k-4.5k per suit, or around 16k-18k diamonds total.

Frosty Winter is the first pavilion. It comes with 2 makeups (posed and unposed), animated movable snow (!!), and a background.

Carefree Spring Trip is the second pavilion. It comes with an animated hat and a background.

Charm of the Fairy is the third pavilion. It comes with animated bunny ears (!!!) and a background.

Gilded Feast is the fourth and final pavilion. It comes with animated earrings and a background.

Print / Trinket Universe (Kylian and Bluebell)

A sequel to this story. These were the only two stories I planned for this month about Kylian and Bluebell, but you can expect more in the future. 😉

Bluebell was a woman of many talents and skills. Cleaning was not one of them. This was especially troubling because there were no other openings available for prints at the time she took the job. And changing roles was unheard of—she should be so grateful to have a job in the first place.

Thankfully, the fellow prints and even the human members of her crew were easily charmed. But was sure she was on thin ice despite that.

Kylian Hart, the owner of the estate she cleaned every Monday and Thursday afternoon, surely wanted her dead—or, at least fired.

Ever since he caught her dancing around in front of his mirror like an idiot, he glowered at her whenever they crossed paths. Even when she averted her gaze and hurried off to find something to clean, she was aware of his gaze following her like a lead weight.

He was probably waiting for the opportunity to pounce—ready for the moment she would do something frivolous and stupid again. It had been two weeks since the incident, and every time she had to return to the sprawling house, her stomach curdled with fear.

If Mr. Hart had complained to her supervisor, Bluebell hadn’t gotten wind of it yet. Which meant, for some reason, the enigmatic artist was keeping her slip-up to himself. That only put her more on edge. Any time now, he would fire her when she least expected it. She’d learned from the others that he had sent away cleaners for even less. Prints who were fired from a high-profile assignment like this were dismissed from the company entirely.

Against all odds, cleaning rich people’s ridiculous homes was a high-value job among prints. I’m grateful, she told herself over and over, as though it might nullify the karma that was chasing her. I’m very, very grateful.

If she lost this job, she doubted she’d find another. She wouldn’t starve—not when she had a way with charming meals from the neighbors in the slums. But it would mean having no money to wire to Aster. Not that she sent much, though it was something. And the wire transfer was one of the few ways she could assure him that she was still alive.

“Where are you off to, Blue?” Elara, one of the prints on the crew, spotted Bluebell wandering away while they were supposed to be polishing the contents of a china cabinet.

Bluebell barely needed the movable scaffolding to reach the floor. She landed lightly, slinging a rag over her shoulder with a warm smile. “Off to get a head start on the next room, sunshine. I feel so clumsy around all that fancy stuff, anyway.”

Elara gave a short laugh. “Please. You could do cartwheels around these things without leaving a smudge. But go on. The sooner we’re out of here, the better.” She lowered her voice conspiratorially. “Can’t stand the way he skulks around like a ghost.”

A wry smile stayed painted on Bluebell’s face as she exited the room. He’s skulking ‘cause of me, sunshine.

When she reached the next room, she didn’t stop. The timing wouldn’t get any better than now. This was the floor she needed to be on. The humans on the crew, somewhat nice or not, wouldn’t have let her wander off again. Although they didn’t know about the incident, her penchant for vanishing hadn’t gone unnoticed.

She stayed close to the wall, winding her path toward the studio that Mr. Hart caught her in. Maybe if she apologized in person, he would have mercy on her. Maybe, just maybe, he would appreciate her bravery in speaking up.

Silly, ditzy me. Can’t help myself when I see a mirror. You know how rare a clean mirror is in the slums? Rare, Mr. Hart, very rare. I hope you don’t think that’s how I spend my afternoons here, though. I work so very hard. And I’m grateful. So very grateful.

Much like the first time she meandered into the room, it was open just a crack. The lights were off, and the curtains were drawn as she peeked her head inside. The hallway fixtures provided just enough illumination to confirm that Mr. Hart wasn’t there—and that there were several new canvases set up around the room.

Although her heart sank that she wouldn’t get her chance to apologize right then, her attention was drawn to the canvases that towered high overhead. She squinted. When she last intruded into the studio, there had been a few sketches pinned to the walls and books stuffed on shelves, but not much else to look at.

Her gaze remained fixed on the nearest canvas. She could make out a figure. One that looked like… But no, it couldn’t be. She was seeing things.

Get out. He’s not here. Go.

But she had to know. 

Grunting, she pushed her entire body against the door to widen the opening. The hinges were well-oiled enough, but the weight of the wood proved to be cumbersome. She managed to widen the net of light from the hallway that fell into the room. Panting from exertion, she looked up to see the canvas—and its neighbors—properly.

She would have gasped, but her lungs refused to take air. She staggered further into the room, unable to comprehend what she was seeing.

All five of the canvases—even the new sketches pinned to the walls—were her.

“Holy hell,” she breathed.

Most of her likenesses were full-body portrayals. Blue skirts, dark hair, dancing poses in motion. All kinds of expressions, too—from full-blown grins to pensive frowns. 

He had been watching her.

She didn’t know how long she stood there, gaping, but she didn’t know what snapped her out of it—footsteps thudded down the hall, fast approaching.

Bluebell cursed under her breath. It was him. No one else in this house would dare walk as loudly as he did. She couldn’t bolt out the door—he’d see her. She scrambled further into the room and ducked under the table, praying and praying that he would simply pass the studio.

The door creaked open wider. The footsteps entered. The light flicked on. The door shut firmly.

She cowered against the wall, hiding among the clutter. Boxes of half-used art supplies and scraps of crumpled sketching paper created a maze around her. Clearly, Mr. Hart had not allowed anyone to clean this room in ages. Thank heavens that worked in her favor. 

Polished shoes approached. She pressed herself hard against the wall, covering her mouth to keep from screaming. He settled into his chair. After a moment, she heard a harried scrape of pencil on paper. 

Another sketch of her?

Bluebell stepped gently to the side, looking past the clutter to catch a glimpse of the door. There was a wastebasket there, surrounded by more wads of paper. If she could huddle behind the basket, she could flee whenever he opened the door again. 

She turned her attention to his shoes and slowly, slowly crept against the floor molding. With all her attention fixed on him, she didn’t pay attention to her path. A pencil lay at her feet, and she stepped squarely upon it. A squeal burst past her lips as she dropped hard to her hands and knees.

The sketching stopped.

“Who’s in here?” His voice was vicious. 

His shoes scraped against the floor as he stood, shoving the chair back. Cowering in the soft puddle of her skirts, she looked around desperately for a hiding place. Perhaps one of the boxes—but the world rattled, making it impossible to think clearly. Massive hands dug at the clutter, determined to leave her with nothing to hide behind. Clawing fingers almost blindly took her into their grasp.

She bolted, slipping expertly among the boxes, but it was no use. He shoved one of the containers so hard that it knocked into her. Pain lanced through her body as she was forced into the open—right into his glare’s path. 

His hand descended and squeezed her into a tight grip. A scream wanted to come out, but she didn’t have the air to produce it. A pathetic whimper came out instead as he dragged her out from under the table. Her legs hung over empty air, her stomach churning from the sudden ascent before her captor’s eyes.

All at once, his murderous glare snapped into surprise. His grip loosened, nearly dropping her, but his other hand shot up to stop her fall. She gasped for air and bowed her head while she gathered her bearings. He said nothing, so she scrambled to fill the silence.

“I-I’m sorry,” she stammered. Both hands were around her, leaving her entirely at his mercy. After what she had seen in the studio—from the art to the bite of his glare—her inner speech abandoned her. All she could produce was a whispered, “I work so hard. I’m very grateful. I-I…”

“I didn’t know it was you,” he said, filling the pause after she trailed off. His tone was unreadable, and she couldn’t bear to look him in the eye.

She nodded shakily, wishing he would put her down. “It’s me,” she confirmed with a high little laugh. “I was just going to apologize about the other day, and I…” She chanced a look at the canvases around her, then winced.

He stood, carrying her with him effortlessly to the tabletop. He dropped her onto the surface. Her breath caught. He had, in fact, been sketching her. She could see the outline of her heart-shaped face taking form on the paper. The table was littered with blue pencils and markers. She swallowed hard and scooted back on her rear, wondering what he would do with her now that she’d seen his work.

“I-I… I should get back,” she said hoarsely. “They’ll start to wonder if I’m taking a nap somewhere.” She gave a forceful giggle. “N-not that I would ever—”

“You don’t like them?”

She blanched. He regarded her stonily.

“W-what?” she asked. “Oh. The—” She wet her lips and blinked around the studio. Something sinister crawled beneath her skin, but she forced another dainty laugh. “The me’s. I just… Sir, I just don’t understand why…” She pointed at herself and smiled cluelessly.

Don’t play dumb. You love the attention. Well, here it is.

Mr. Hart steepled his fingers imperiously, leaning the lower half of his face behind his hands. She dared to look higher and meet his gaze. She hadn’t noticed before—he looked less disheveled than usual. Hair combed back instead of messy. Clothing neat instead of rumpled. Facial hair was shaved close to his skin. Maybe he’d looked like that every time he glared at her the past weeks—she’d just been too afraid to look at him long enough to notice.

“I thought you looked compelling.” His voice sounded matter-of-fact, yet small behind his hands. Almost bashful.

A bizarre silence followed. He watched her closely, his stare digging into her face like hot knives. Was he taking the opportunity to examine her more closely for his next piece—or did he truly care about her reaction to his work?

As if that reaction could be anything less than undying appreciation and awe. He had her cornered. If she displeased him… Disappearances weren’t uncommon. Her crew and neighbors might mourn her for a few days—their charming little mascot lost. 

Only Aster would really care—but she was more or less dead to him already.

Still, self-preservation took hold. 

She fixed her expression into a bashful smile as she cowered before him. She batted her eyes coquettishly. Little old me?

“I’m… so very touched, sir,” she said.

For the first time since she’d ever laid eyes on him, Mr. Hart looked pleased.

Anaya Nayanar, also known as Anaya and Anayar, is a Nayanar saint, venerated in the Hindu Shaivite sect. Anaya is considered to be the 14th of the 63 Nayanars. His playing of the Panchakshara (five-syllable mantra 🌟na, ma, śi, vā, ya🌟) on his flute so pleased the god, Shiva, that he took Anaya away to the eternal world.

The life of Anayar is described in the Thirutthondar Puranam (Periya Puranam) by Sekkizhar, which documents the Histories of the 63 Nayanmar. Anaya is described as a cowherd (ஆயர் or Aayar). Anayar was born and lived his life in Tirumangalam (Thirumangalam), currently in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Tirumangalam is a place of pilgrimage, famous for its Samavedeshvarar Temple, dedicated to Supreme Lord Shiva. Aanaayar used to tend cows. He used to take the cows for grazing in the pastures outside of the town. He used to protect the cattle from disease and beasts of prey. Anayar used to smear Sacred Ash on His body. In the meadows, He used to play the Panchakshara (Five-Letter) Mantra of Supreme Lord Shiva on his flute. Music was his way of worshipping Lord Shiva. A verse from Periya Puranam tells about how he crafted a flute from bamboo, as prescribed in the science of music (Gandharva Shastra).

One day at the onset of the monsoon, Anayar started playing the Holy Five Letter Word on His flute under the Konrai tree, which is sacred to Lord Shiva, in a garden of blossoming konrai trees. The Periya Puranam devotes several verses to describe the natural beauty of the location.

✨Aanaaya Naayanaar spread sweet melody all aound, playing on his flute with supreme skill, according to the prescribed technique. The basic note of the music - Panchaakshara - streamed sweetly like celestial nectar mixed with honey into the ears of the listeners. Entranced by this the herd of cows forgot to chew the cud, after cropping the tender shoots of grass; the little calves with mouths on the udders of the cows let the foaming milk drip down on the ground; the might-horned bulls and the wild animals like the deer came near, with the hairs of the body standing on end. The dancing peacocks stood still; the flocks of birds with their hearts filled with melody, kept quiet as in a swoon; the herdsmen left tasks incomplete. The 'Naagas', inhabitants of the underworld came out of their caverns; the celestial ladies gathered in the heavens and stood quite charmed; the other denizens of the outer space - the Gandharvas, Charanaas and the Kinnaras - too crowded the sky in their chariots. The heavenly damsels feeding their pet parrots on nectar under the shade of the Kalpaka tree, hurried to drink in the sweet music. Both the weak and the strong were caught in the same spell - the serpent with the venomous fangs leaned gently on the peacock; the unmoving lion and the huge tusker kept company; the deer with the grass in its mouth stood by the side of the tiger. ✨All nature too came under this spell - the wind ceased to blow and the blossoming branches of the trees stirred not; the streams and brooks meshing down the mountain stopped dead in their tracks; the clouds lay quiet and shed no drops of rain; the lightning did not flash and there was not a ripple in the wide seas. ✨Thus all things - movable and immovable - lay ensnared in the mesh of the nectarine music that flowed from the sweet-red lips of Aanaaya Naayanaar touching his flute. ✨Ah, the sweet music welling up from the gushing love of the player for the feet of his Lord, which filled earth and heaven then filled the ears of the indwelling Lord dancing in the Golden Hall, hard to reach for all those lacking in real Love.

✨Next, the Lord, with His consort, the very soul of compassion - He from whom all sound and music arise - the three-eyed Supreme being - appeared in the heavens, seated on His Bull-Mount. ✨His crowding hosts kept utterly quiet, so as not to disturb the music of the Panchakshara which the dancing Lord relished so much! ✨The Lord then declared: "Come unto Me, in the same pose as you now are, to enable the righteous devotees to savour your music ever" ✨This Naayanaar willingly complied! ✨The celestials rained flowers on earth; the sages chanted the Vedic hymns, while the flute continued with melody. ✨The Lord and His devotee then entered the Golden Hall at Chidambaram.

a bunch of 70s tactype sheets! movable lettering currently has ownership over my heart and i kind of freaked out when i learned what it was. it still works like a charm, even after 50 years or more.

a little while ago (mightve actually been a year now. wow) my mom bought these little 3d printed crystal-like dragons for me and my sister. there was a rainbow-ish one and a blue-purple-magenta one that she let us both choose from. i immediately had my eyes on the darker, purple one, so i took that one and my sister took the other one. we liked them immediately, (they are very cute- and movable! theyre like little fidget toys) i named mine Brutus.

heres where the reason im writing this is: this crystal dragon Is My Daughter. i dont know what happened. i just. thats My Girl!!!!! i love her so much shes my precious little thing.

anyways usually Brutus sits on my desk or shelf while i admittedly kinda forget about her, (i love all my toys but Phone Is Distracting,) but recently ive been messing around with my craft stuff more, and ended up making her some silly golden bracelets? cuffs? for her little arms <33333 she looks so good with them!!!! also gave her a little necklace with a key charm, its silver tho and idk if the clashing metals look very good... but im letting her keep it for now :]

her new perch is on top of some of my books next to where i have some sticky notes with random drawings- she guards them!! shes a great guard dragon :] i also put some cotton paper from one of my sketchbooks for her to lay on and a sticky note reserving the spot just for her! love herrr my daughterrr

also i am A Hoarder but ive been thinking about lending her some of my little trinkets for her own little hoard! itd be so so cutee i can tell she wants some decorations for her new spot....

First off, clown types! FYI I do not claim to include all of them these are just the ones I know about well enough about to give information.

The birthday clown- these clowns are good for people with children as they tend to be less threatening, however at times they can be slightly intimidating to smaller children, so keep that in mind. They range from around six inches tall to around five foot tall depending on what subspecies of birthday clown they are. Usually good to put toys and decorations in their enclosure that mimic birthday party or other celebrations, however always do what seems to best suit your clown. They usually have rainbow colors and are rather cheerful however sad birthday clowns do exist and deserve just as much love and care.

The circus clown- chaotic but definitely one of the more well known breeds, circus clowns have a wide variety of personalities, sizes, and colors. Some of their more defining traits are that they tend to have more visual jokes and talents and more movable clothing, however again these are generalized statements. These clowns enjoy having good open spaces to practice their tricks and such, but are social creatures so consider adopting two or more if you are not able to consistently socialize them.

Scare clowns- want to preface this by saying scare clowns are in no way evil. They simply view emotions differently. They take fear as joy so want to cause that for their humans, so if being scared constantly isn’t your cup of tea then perhaps consider another breed. However, if you are dead set perhaps consider getting a mixed breed or a very small one as they tend to be less scary to some. Scare clowns have the unique ability to stretch their arms, and sometimes legs much longer then normal, up to four times their original length. They are mostly carnivorous so this would help them catch their prey in the wild. They also are able to fit into extremely small spaces, so being aware of this is crucial for building good habitats for them. A enclosure with dim lighting, various prop weapons, and other somewhat spooky decor is usually a good fit. Keep in mind clowns are not toys, and there are plenty of other breeds that will look just as great (however if your adopting for looks you should not own a clown or really any pets especially if you don’t care about any other info). So don’t immediately pick scare clowns because they’re “edgy”.

Killer clowns- oh boy these are rather controversial. This is more of a warning then a “how to take care of them.” As personally I don’t support owning them unless you are extremely experienced and have a clown reserve to keep them on. They are extremely territorial, will kill and even sometimes eat humans, and are ambush predators so one could escape and be about to kill you and you wouldn’t know before it’s too late. many of these clowns are put to death for murder when in reality they are just protecting their territory, and humans really shouldn’t own them even as guards. If you think one is loose near you call clown control immediately as even if it’s a smaller one they can cause major damage to humans and pets.

Harlequins- the acrobatic, fun, typically mischievous clowns. They’re typically the ones who are able to win over damsels, usually charming and daring. Harlequins exhibit a variety of patterns however a common one is the diamond pattern, as well as a multi pronged hat similar to jester hats. They are relatively high energy, enjoying having at least one other clown around to either play the hero of or to annoy by stealing their spotlight temporarily. They do not need that much attention from humans as they are usually content to practice tricks, however a good dose of attention, complementing their lovely tricks, and even volunteering to play one of the parts for them is a great way to bond with them. Having lots of props, acrobatic equipment, and areas for them to play is crucial for a healthy and happy harlequin.

Pierrots- the hopeless romantic, complementary to the harlequins. They are typically sad which does not mean they are unhappy so much as they express emotions differently. They will oftentimes copy the tricks of other clowns and fail, however make sure to offer reassurance as these clowns are prone to having bad self esteem. Keeping them with a harlequin is usually a good idea however these clowns are more alright then most to simply be with their owner, especially the more small subspecies. Most have a white and black color scheme unless they’re a mix breed, in which case they can be various monochromatic color schemes (monochrome meaning one color).

I’m going to mention this is my view of them, feel free to request any clown types and note these are not based in reaserch of the “irl” clowns, simply setting up how they are in my writing. Aside from that thanks for reading! ^w^

Arknights Chapter XIII - The Whirlpool That Is Passion (Part II)

ACTUALLY, BEFORE I FORGET, I heard that the friend count will rise to 100, so that means that anybody who needs an Ebenholz/Hoederer and doesn't require them to be max pot... can add me, so we can work together to cry a little less with each passing event.

WARNING: This post is going to contain a lot of yapping from me about Hoederer and how much I love him and will also have a LOT of spoilers.

Anyway, continuing where we left off last time with the furniture sets.

Secondhand Leather Chair

A sturdy, durable chair. It may be called secondhand, but it has actually changed hands plenty more times than that. There used to be many chairs like this in their hideouts, though the number who sit on them has dwindled over the years.

STOP ANOTHER ONE ABOUT THE LOSS OF SARKAZ LIVES, I AM DEVASTATED. Yeah, nothing can beat the sheer loneliness that Mlynar Nearl has soaked into his furniture descriptions because at least Sarkaz sticks together, but there's so much to unpack here I don't even know where to begin.

Portable Mailbox

A small, movable desk with a pile of letters stacked on top and a small lamp inside. Sometimes, Hoederer gets pieces of historical excerpts sent to him, but their senders have often already become part of history before he is able to reply.

This is what got me crying in bed when I first bought the room and went through all the pieces to read their descriptions. There is something so heart-rending about living a life full of loss. Home. Friends. Family. Relationships. Everybody turns against everybody and you have to both accept it and move on with it, because if you linger for too long - you end up dead, but if you keep being paranoid about it you will just never know peace.

I lost two close people and have been wallowing in my misery for months now. Maybe that is one more thing that really makes me like Hoederer. And I do like him.

The way I see him, he is somebody who strives to move forward without never forgetting where he started from and who he was. It's both endearing and charming and it's a great characteristic to have. It's so HARD to have it, regardless if we are talking Arknights, another game character, or IRL in general. Maybe /I'm/ being too much about it, but that's what 'comfort characters' are about, right?

Basement Wall Lamp

A lamp installed on the wall with a yellow glow and exposed wires. A red scrap of cloth is tied around the metal ring. Eventually, Ines broke free of the rope tied around her wrists and took her out in her sleep.

I genuinely love the design of the wall lamp. Except when it comes to the description. What the absolute ever-loving hell.

"Door Of Life"

A heavy double-action door that separates the living space from the workspace. One side is for living, and the other side is for making a living. To Sarkaz mercenaries, the two might not be all that different.

If this is also a sliding door I can absolutely confirm that maybe I am a part Sarkaz in the way I live, because my bedroom is separated from the living room with a sliding door like that with a handle and it is a big difference where you are living and where you are 'making' the living.

Work Area Rug

A rug resistant to stains and heat, ironically covered in tracks and oil stains. The good news is that the deep red color did not originate from dried blood.

Yeah? Thank goodness. We'd have to run some tests to figure out whose it is if we find a random blood puddle on Rhodes Island.

Simple Welded Chair

A high chair put together from industrial waste. Sturdy and durable, the beast skin covering it was specially treated and seems smooth and sleek to the touch. In Kazdel, kids tend to grab waste materials to renovate their dust-laden lives.

Work Area Wall-mounted Rack

A rack used to hang tools. Pieced together from recycled metals and extremely heavy, the good thing is that it saves space. Once, the mercenaries would hang their equipment from it. That equipment has long since scattered across the lands.

"Maybe a Bonsai"

A handcrafted cabinet used to store tools. In the vase sitting atop—welded together from scrap metal—is the only splash of green in the room. Back in that small house in the cramped Kazdel slums, it wasn't a sprouted potato they planted.

Okay, but, do you know what this means? Kazdel is familiar with what bonsai is. They know that little planted trees in pretty, perhaps painted or perhaps simpler in style potteries get to be a breath of green inside your house. Everybody and their aunt get to have a bonsai because it represents life and new beginnings and whatever folk tale they might have abound them.

I'm falling apart.

Weapon Maintenance Table

A small maintenance table used for the repair and upkeep of weapons. Not only do you need to smooth out any blemishes, you also need to wipe away the blood. This is where Ines learned to sew and mend her clothes years ago.

Me hanging out there for absolutely no reason with my overhead lamp and under-hand lamp while I'm cross-stitching. That's how I imagine this being used. Perhaps me and Ines can have tea here.

Work Area Ceiling Lights

A light source used for precision tasks. Warm, stable, and dependable. Comes with an air ventilation system to ensure that any volatile gases or metallic dust can be removed in time. Hoederer often worked under its light, quiet and taciturn.

Now that I am well-prepared with the horrors that are the living conditions of the Sarkaz, I'm going to go check out how things have been going with Hoederer's skills and then we actually start Chapter 13 reading.

In the meantime, this is what the Bandorio list looks like. Except here, I forgot to take out Noir and Nothing because Lessing, Zhuo Le and Logos are coming. A lot of men with L in their names approaching my vicinity.

Decided to start top to bottom since I don't think I might need him yet for the Adverse stages. It's been two weeks almost, so he's pretty much complete. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had the gall to offer my services to those who got him but have other priorities.

At least I got to grind enough to get him up as fast as possible. Every single day was a: log-on, get base money and cards, level him up with like... 2-3 levels and leave up to 80 and then every day was a single level grind until I had no sanity.

Well, Mrs. Zofia, we are on a standstill until I manage to procure any coagulated gel. Tempted to pump levels into Crimson Solitaire or some other, but I'm not in the mood.

Imagine Zofia walks into the training room, having come from Lundi's RI specifically because she has to train with Hoederer and then just spots him eating a whole, boiled chicken for his regimen.
