Let’s hear a song from the debut album by the Singapore band FERS.  This is a cover of a 1984 song by the German band Alphaville, and features a guest vocal by Elspeth Ong from motifs. (she sings 2 songs on that release)

There's something that I noticed for some time ever since I've started scanning Japanese music magazines to translate and post them

No, actually, it was WELL before I took that faithful dive to buy a scanner and those magazines

Namely, that over the decades that Musers have bought and scanned those magazines to post the pics that we now circulate online, rarely ANY of them bothered to translate the articles

Like, they just wanted the pics??? And not like the interviews that were done???? The reviews for their discography or live shows?????

I think having been in the Visual Kei/JRock fandoms has spoiled me in the sense that I took translated interviews for granted. And now I'm the one translating these articles for the current generation of Musers and fans of other bands to read and get to know our favourite band again

I've found I love playing around with Aurelio's hair. I think he puts a lot of effort into his appearance even with limited resources.

And tbh listening to the pod was just...leagues more enjoyable for me than watching the actual movie. lol! *** For the people who haven't listened in, fellow modern war enjoyers, people who love to love, diss, laugh and cry for WWII media Rosie The Reviewer is such a great podcast! Also @fayestardust and @almost-a-class-act are just naturally funny so cackling alone to yourself in your room/at a cafe while two friends chat about myth-making in war media inside your earphones is an expected hazard. Their rating system is Great.

They've done whole discussions about Band of Brothers that I'm about to inhale next, and more recently SaS: Rogue Heroes. Good fucking food.

Let’s check out a shoegaze/dream pop band from Singapore called motifs  =D

I think they formed in 2019. The members are: Elspeth Ong-Vocal/Gtr, JJ Tan-Gtr, Paul Yuen-Bass, Badrul Amin-Synth/Vocal/Gtr, and Jolin Chiam-Drums 2 singles and the debut album Remember A Stranger. (produced by Snakeweed Studios’ Leonard Soosay) released in 2022

Bandcamp has the lyrics and more recording credits.  I love their dreamy sound and breathy vocals.  =D

The opening interview segment is about 15 minutes, then they play 4 songs.  The host Daniel Peters has a very soft speaking voice, and for whatever reason, the band members answer all of his questions in a whisper!  XD

thinking about the bitb boys having a shitty band in high school. Obvs Kian would be vocals and guitar but idk where I'd put the other two. I kind of want them to not actually have either drums or bass cause like everyone who wants to start a band is missing drums or bass. And I think they should be close to having what they want but never get it. Like Rolan plays bass and Rand can do rhythm guitar but they don't have a drummer. And Becky can play drums (she prefers bass or guitar) but Rand is an asshole who doesn't want Kian's girlfriend in their band. Rolan would really be happier on keys.

I want to like Teens of Denial so bad. Objectively it is a good album. But so much of it feels boring and soulless in comparison to their earlier works. I think the band really hit its stride with the remastering of Twin Fantasy. Same feeling (from ToD) with MaDLO tbh, but with the experimental nature of that album I can kind of excuse it? It's transitional. Like MBIKMB (which. I also did not like very much). ToD just feels a little. Flat. If you get what I mean? It has some incredible songs like Destroyed by Hippie Powers and the Ballad of Costa Concordia but I dunno. The whole thing is just not really it for me
