Everything so far in order

Since some people have asked and i typed this up already here is whats up with these guys

Its a comfort series I am making basically

The idea is that these changelings broke off from the original hive so long ago because they wanted to feed on love but not aggressively so they made a new hive under king Atlas's rule

They helped celestia drive away the other changelings when they first emerged after starswirl accident (he canonically used magic on a tree by accident and made chrysalis and she has holes after a fight with celestia so her whole hive is cursed with them) But these ones have been able to establish trade with celestia personally

They take volunteers or the severely depressed and cares for them but the king only keeps one lover which is the main source of food for the hive

Though they mostly use hypnosis and alot of patience to help with that

Lavos the white one is the son of Atlas and the first lover he took which was Celestia

This is a self indulgent story about the next one (being my main oc)

i made it to deal with my inner turmoil

Im still work shopping them currently as people keep telling me they are "toxic" "unsettling" "scary" and "creepy" which isnt my intent

I forgot to mention a few things

The hive is in a mine in a mountain called "twisted mountain" you cant find it without a guide which is normally Lavos who judges those approaching by usually being disguised as a traveller

But under special conditions he will appear in his actual form

This place is designed to make you get lost and returns you back to where you started often

The changeling species themselves are called "Noctlings" and are a mix of moth and beetle (2 bugs i love alot) but from far away they can be mistaken for a kirin

Mothlings are actually quite smart, like really smart. Anyways

Mothlings name their kits after their favorite things, so it’s not uncommon to end up with a name like “Cheese” or “Trinket” and sometimes they might name it after the other parent :3

They can’t see the sky due to their home location, it’s a really dense forest, so they base seasons on 1. Weather. 2. Animals that are coming in. Since bugs die out in Winter, when bugs get low, thats how they figure out its winter if theres not snow

Certain Mothlings like to go out and watch animals, like wolves or deer, and study their behavior, sometimes even mimicking them to the best of their ability (Like, moving in packs, or hunting small animals like how other animals hunt)

Btw what's the head cannons for after life smp / new life or any of those origins ones. I always liked the idea that each new origin was technically a separate but their old origins are technically past versions of themselves. Kinda a rebirth thing? Not the same person but now new either. Idk! Yap to me about it I love head cannons

Okay, Dark Chnageling AU (inspired by MLP, but none of its characters, just X-Men characters)...

Morph is a leucistic changeling queen-to-be, but they're also a bit... different. They aren't quite as vicious, or well, evil and conniving, as their predecessors or the other changelings... The same can be said for Nymph (Reader), a small, young changeling who wants to earn love rather than take it...

They end up having to flee to save their lives.

But... they run into a group of the most wonderful people! They're outcasts like them! And they're all so nice!!!

There's super-smart Xavier, and powerful weather witch Ororo, there's unkillable Logan, and sweet and brilliant Hank, and Xavier's super scary metal controlling husband, and so man others!!! It's amazing! And it's so, so... lovely.

This is the closest they've ver had to a real family. To real love. And Morph promises, for their sake and Nymph's, not to scr*w this up.

Well... they somehow did. They don't know how, or why, but... the others are growing cuddlier. More possessive. Even their eyes are odd now...

It's when everything is wrapped in silk, with cocoons everywhere and no sign of their family, that Morph takes Nymph and flees.

They didn't mean to mess this up! They're so, so, so sorry... But... they have to stay away. They know how changelings can be. And if the others are turning... they can't let themself or their remaining family be caught...

(So, basically, Morph released pheromones due to feeling so happy and comfortable and loved for the first time, it accidentally changed everyone and caused all of this, and now they and Reader are on the run, again...) (And they're all moth changelings, or mothlings) (they are super fluffy, super cute, and very loving and cuddly)

(Reader ends up being like Morph, a queen-to-be, but it takes a bit of time... they and Morph are the equivalent to changeling or mothling alicorns!)

@thewickedweiner @sugar-soda Please feel free to ask about this au amd add your ideas to it!!! And should they he humanoid with the pony and changeling traits, or full on pony and changeling? I don't know which is better!

Foul Legacy says it for the very first time when he accidentally smacks his head on the doorframe- you hear a CRACK and a sharp whine as Legacy sinks to the ground, holding his forehead with tears in his eye. you rush over to see if he's alright and he promptly shoves his face into your stomach, whimpering softly and asking for consolation pets, which you gladly give. there's a mark on his forehead, a darker red than the rest of his mask-like face, and he flinches when you graze your fingers over it, pouting and grumbling at himself. when you're running your fingers through his hair, you hear it, whisper-quiet and hissing-

"Fuck."

you gasp, leaning back to look Foul Legacy in the eye, and he whines and attempts to nuzzle back up to you. "Where did you learn that??" he merely shrugs, chirping something that sounds like "Ajax" before burying his head in your stomach again. you just stand there, open-mouthed, until Legacy whines and nudges your hand for more pats, crooning when you comply and scritch under his chin. he seems to have completely forgotten what he just said in favor of snuggling up to you and bumping his head against the underside of your chin, careful not to hit you with his horns. Legacy chitters and trills pleadingly, and with a sigh you lean down and kiss the bruise on his forehead, caressing his face with your thumbs as he purrs and coos happily, the pain receeding

I've gotten into needlefelting and made a little silk mothling! I used some feathers my chickens dropped to make the antennae and floof up the chest!

You mentioned Gus is a bit of a lonely guy- how come? Does he have any close relationships? How's it going for him regarding family, friends, love? Holds him gently I hope his feelings of solitude untangle into well-earned warmth ♥

Well Gus by all he knows it's the only one of his moth species, as well as he grew up v much dealing with the fact that he wasn't human and was seen as a monster/cryptid [he does recognize his title being the "mothman" as his last name]

While Gus does end up able to talk and very much learned how to be a "person" per say- he kinda had to push himself to understand it! And to get what human customs were! which i imagine having to just try and copy it from people who are legit afraid of you its gotta be a bit hard to work with HJDFHJHD but he was never the giving up type

He only got really close to people at the age of 16 and finally gets the chance to interact with em much Much closer, eventually getting a best friend and a few more access to a few things (I don't have much specifics on this part of his life but! He does have a best friend called Jackie!)

When he finally meets more creatures n monsters like him it (possibly this being Scott n Don) happens once he's in his 20's but by then he already worked a few stuff out!

imagine in modern day if you could sit on Foul Legacy's lap and play games on your laptop while he watches over your shoulder,,, he chirps curiously at everything at first, nudging your shoulder when he sees something potentially interesting, but as you go forward together he becomes more knowledgeable and helps you with gameplay by pointing out things you missed or trilling out warnings if you're in danger.
