Hayden’s seriously so good at storytelling through music it blows my mind how some of the instrumental songs on preachers daughter tell us more about ethel cains story than some of the more lyrical ones,

certain artists get a bit too wordy with it and it ends up sounding more like an audiobook than a song, neglecting the musical aspect of it and just speaking over an underdeveloped beat

but every time without fail the attention to detail is there with hayden and it’s one of the things about her music that i love so so much, you can literally hear the passion and it’s beautiful
