i think about the comparison between these two scenes way too much. everyone loves to point out how "hannibal just accepts the fact that will is pointing a gun at him, he's so in love 😍😍😍". but i think that scene after will gets out of jail, when he's at hannibal's house, is one of the few times that hannibal doesn't actually know what will is going to do. i think that's one of the few moments where hannibal is afraid of will, afraid of what he turned him into, wondering if he pushed him too far.

at the end of season 1, when will holds him at gun point for the first time, when will realizes that hannibal has been manipulating him, hannibal has all the power over him in that moment. even though will has a gun to his head, hannibal knows he's in too much mental distress to commit to pulling the trigger, and he has full control of the situation. in the similar scene in season 2, hannibal is losing his control over will's mind, and he truly doesn't know what to expect from him. they start to equal out here.

JUST MY OPINIONS i also was like why didn't hannibal just like retaliate or something

Arcane Season2 Act1 Episode3 Spoilers!!

I just realised this scene is a parallel to the scene where Vi punches Powder and leaves her behind and Powder cries on her knees begging for her to come back. Just like Vi after Cait uses the butt of her gun on Vi’s stomach to knock her back because she didn’t let her shoot at Jinx, and Vi drops to her knees (probably) silently begging for her to turn around.

edit: I just realised Caitlyn was probably one of the only enforcers Vi met that hadn’t hurt/beat/punched her until that moment.. also me when Cait promised Vi she wouldn’t change only to break that promise 30 minutes later!! 😋

Me when I remember I can edit and I’ve decided to make it everyone’s problem

That one deleted scene between Ben and Washington is actually pure evil. The whole “And what would the tories call your friend Woodhull if they catch him” “The same thing they called my friend Nathan Hale”. OH GOD THEY WERE SO SICK FOR THAT

But then I started spiraling the more I thought about the comparison between Hale and Woodhull. Because OH MY GOD. Genuinely it’s sickening. The Culper Ring in general was made the way it was almost directly in response to Hale’s failure of a mission. Comparing both real life and the portrayal of it in the show, Ben is actually a huge factor in both of them taking part in the rebellion in some way or another. But then you get more into the few points in the show that actually compare Abe to Hale, specifically the time Abe is in prison (I used that part in the edit) with that one dude saying “Please tell me you’re some sort of Nathan Hale”. The moment is brushed aside almost immediately but it’s still there.

Go on to the end of season three with Trial and Execution. While most just compare Andre to Hale during his trial, there is also the comparison between Hale and Abe that is briefly brought up by the characters in the show. I don’t think you all realize how we were all saved by NOT having any of the other characters find out Abe was almost hanged for treason. Forever grateful because I know I would never have recovered from that.

Anyways unlike the last edit, this was all my doing so all hate and grievances can be directed towards me. I will start maniacally laughing
