It was clearer than ever, now that they were all getting taller, growing from childhood into adolescence. James had a certain amount of swagger; that came with wealth and skill on the quidditch pitch, but Sirius was always going to be in another league entirely. Remus hadn’t decided whether to be jealous about it or not, and tried not to think about it too much.”

Y'all we gotta talk.

Just because someone says "hot take" when talking about fictional characters, DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY ARE SAYING ITS OFFICIALLY CANON!! ITS THEIR INTERPRETATION OF THE CHARACTER!!! If you dont like it, then look at stuff you do like.

I dont like overly soft Remus. I dont. ATYD is probably one of my fav interpretations of him. I dont like prongsfoot or moonwater. I love rockstar sirius. I like slutty sirius. I dont like forgotten younger Peter. I dont know how to feel about Jegulus, but im not opposed to Jegulily. I could go on. I like what I like or dont, and everyone feels the same, and the world keeps spinning.

I hate seeing someone say hot take and then getting SHIT on like crazy.

Heres what I think. As long as the CORE of the character is kept, then the interpretations of said character are free grounds.

For example. Sirius black is a rebel at heart and always has been. He hates tradition in any shape or form. That is core to his character. If someone wants to interpret that as sirius liking makeup, sirius as a rockstar, sirius as a manwhore, nonbinary sirius, THEN WHATEVER!!

Another example is that James Potter is fiercly loyal and is kinda a prick at times. Cool! So if someone wants to write him as a frat boy, it makes sense.

Remus has an aura of mystery and seems to always have secrets. Whether thats him being a werewolf, being gay, bi, disabled, running an underground business, or harboring other secrets, cool. Ur still playing along within the character.

If you dont like it, find the things you do like and move on. You're not going to agree with everyone, and not everyone is gonna agree with you. I think wolfstar should always be canon no matter what, but others dont agree and thats fine, we dont have to.

Look, I get it, I love and obsess these characters just as much as the next, trust me. But at the end of the day, We are talking about fictional characters. Let people creatively express themselves and enjoy the world of fiction.

Okay so i need to rant about smth (social and political) unrelated to my main things, but i may be the asshole in this situation, so just remember kids, ✨️ we listen, we dont judge ✨️

So I've been avoiding my one friend, well call her S. S and i used to be the type of friends that would debate our beliefs, and agree to disagree at the end of the day, and we would move on, drink, get high, do friend shit and be fine.

But after this election, everything kind of clicked into place for me. Im a lesbian and became ENRAGED with Trump and anyone who supports him for many reasons- he main one being lacking human empathy to the point of ofc voting in a man who approves of delegalizing gay marriage, took away dei, setting up detention centers for immigrants, need i say more.

S and I have talked about many things and she grew up middle-higher middle class so we have differences on money, social issues and all that. And while S herself is fun as a friend, i cant justify how someone can support a man like that.

And unfortunately my way of dealing with it is avoidance I KNO I KNO its NOT helping I dont agree with it either and its biting me in the ass.

Bc now it's been months, and S is trying to get into contact with me and is asking our other friends about me, so now i can no longer avoid it. She's incredibly confrontational, and I dont want to upset her, so im not confrontational, but also, i can't envision this friendship being beneficial to both of us if we can't even agree on basic human rights.

Im honestly so so upset that its had to come to that for me, because we were pretty good friends otherwise

But to be in favor of wiping out Palestinians? To be in favor of mass deportation? I just can't and dont understand.... idk im just torn between honoring the friendship i have/had with her vs. honoring my morals and principles...

Omfg, after being told by my family and friends for years that they can't read my chicken scratch, being close to maybe James Potters or Remus Lupins' (even lilys?!!) hand writing is such a win y'all have no idea 😭😭💛💛

I guess out of those two i think its closer to Remus lupins on the regular-not just cuz hes my favorite lol, but cuz thats what it looks like when i try a little more, but if im writing notes for class, it looks more scratchy and idk ig the match just makes sense to me lol
