Android!Killer notes and lore

Official name: Killer 2.0. Bounty posters call him Metal Man Killer. Marines considered him a new pirate, so he had to start his bounty from scratch, and as such is no longer considered a Supernova

Built by Kid to deal with his grief after Killer dies. Android contains his brain, retrieved from his original body after it took too much damage to support life

If you see posts with him interacting with original Killer its cos its just a fun lighthearted alternate timeline where Kid just built him as a replacement just in case. Don't ask me how he gave it Killer's personality, those posts are just for the giggles

Uses his original mask (repaired and restored) as headpiece. Lights have been installed in the holes to fill the gaps and hide the underlying electronics and brain

Helmet contains lenses for vision. Equiped with higher level vision such as nightvision, thermal imagining and xray

Aerial on side of helmet allows for better hearing as well as allowing others to communicate with him directly via den-den

Just as strong and agile as he was in his human body, though it did take a lot of physical rehab to get used to the mechanical body

Metal sections made from high quality metals making him essentially bullet proof

Basically, he's a purpose built super soldier

Water resistant, but not submerge safe. Kid is a skilled engineer, but hes no Vegapunk. Killer 2.0 can not submerge his chest section, or his systems will fail to work, and much like a devil fruit user he would sink like a stone. He can be pulled out and repaired, his brain is well protected, but he can't save himself

Chest, abdomen and buttocks are squishy, imagine the texture/firmness of those silicone chicken fillets you use to make your tits look bigger

Has a cock that's essentially a dildo that can emerge from a slit in the rubber between his legs, and yes it can vibrate

He can feel touch on most of his body, though mostly it just feels like pressure, he's basically a touch lamp, but Kid had Franky help him wire some parts to feel more, such as his hands and dick, allowing for pleasure, though he doesn't really have the ability to 'finish'. He can recieve an artificial boost of hormones to simulate pleasure and satisfaction but thats as close as it gets

Lights flash when he's on charge because Kid stole the wiring and coding from some random electronic. He regrets it every fucking night.

Spends a lot of time oiling and polishing his hair cables and touching up the paint, it's sort of a force of habit but mostly it makes him feel more normal. Ties his hair up with zipties sometimes.

Serious mental health issues. I mean come on, the dude went through all the Wano bullshit, literally fucking died, and now he's not even human. Please someone get him some therapy. Sometimes uses his old lipstick to draw a big smile on his mask when he's having a mental breakdown.

Still loves to cook, but now he has to have a taste tester with him because he has no capacity to eat or taste

Kid obsessively does maintenance on him every single day because he can't bear to lose him again

V3 TRIAL 2 UPDATE

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I WAS RIGHT I WAS RIGHT I WAS COMPLETELY FUCKING RIGHT!!!!!!!! SHE DID IT KIRUMI DID IT I WAS 100% RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! god i'm so smart i'm so fucking smart i caught onto it immediately i knew it and it feels so good to be right about it. and i was like mostly right about how it went down!! i KNEW she handcuffed him and drowned him in the big fucking sink!!! and i knew she moved him window to window into the gym!!! i knew she used the cable and the rope! i didn't predict the rope slide on the inner tube and tbh i thought she would've knocked him out by putting something in his food rather than clocking him on the head, but overall i was still right!!!! AND i was right about him being in the piranha tank!!!!!!!! i totally forgot about the pane of glass so that makes sense why they didn't eat them but i TOTALLY called him being in the piranha tank. i didn't predict the right timing, but i don't think that's my fault, they kind of threw a curveball on me mid-trial with maki revealing she'd talked to ryoma after nighttime had started

the motive/why she did it i was a little less on the mark on. i DID predict it had something to do with her getting her kubs pad, though was not correct on the manner, i really thought kokichi would've given it to her, i did not expect the sheer luck of her getting her own (luck? makoto naegi haunting the narrative once again). and no one requested her to kill him like i'd predicted - though ryoma kind of gave himself up to be killed, which was kind of in the general vein of one of my theories. she didn't do it while everyone was in the bug room like i'd thought, but i'm pretty sure she was running around preparing at that time, and her having access to the stuff she'd helped prep in the gym helped her with the murder, so i'm counting my lines of reasoning here to be right as well.

i relied on the walkthrough much less this time! being razor-focused on what i thought went down and who i thought did it (and also being right about it) certainly helped. multiple choice questions were no problem, and i can do the mass debates pretty well - didn't need help with that part! the shooting is actually alright, i can do that (i also got the laser beam perk or whatever it's called to make it shoot faster which was a HUGE help). now, the other minigames in the trial? uhhhh now those i needed help with lol

was i, shuichi saihara, hitting hookers with my car in that minigame? was that what was happening???

i REALLY hate the lying mechanic. i hate hate hate it. it's difficult, it doesn't make sense, and i'm fundamentally opposed to it. this is a TRIAL, it's about finding the TRUTH, why in the world are you fucking forcing me to LIE?! developers there HAD to be a better way than that

okay i've come to the conclusion that the stuff on the kubs pads is utter fucking bullshit and completely made up. because you CANNOT convince me that kirumi was running the nation, that simply is not possible. like i simply refuse to believe it. and also, i know the lore of these games, the world has already fallen into despair, is there even a government to run? if the dumpling that looks like makoto naegi is "someone i'm pretty sure i've seen before" then this doesn't take place in the past, and this is already a despair-filled world! and i might not remember correctly, weren't the motive videos in the first game fabricated as well? to a point, at least, 'cause didn't it show sayaka's idol group dead, but in reality they were just abducted? idk, i might not be remembering that right. idk, something about this just doesn't pass the smell test. there's no way her kubs pad is real. and i don't care that upon seeing it she "remembered" the memory, they have erased and tampered with the memories of the kids in every single one of these games. it would be easy to implant false memories, especially ones that preyed upon her internal need to serve and help people and even amplified it so that there were millions of people needing her help. like giving her a false memory like that is such an obvious way to potentially make her go off the deep end. there's no way it's real, it's just a manipulation

another reason i do not believe it is real: there is NO FUCKING CHANCE ryoma had NO ONE who cared for him, like i also fucking refuse to believe that. THAT is ALSO a deliberate manipulation of ryoma, a man who was already hanging by a thread searching for something to latch onto and to fight for. like that's nothing but a manipulation into making him give up. there probably IS someone, but of course monokuma wouldn't tell him that, it's just a lie to make him give up and die in the game. and that's absolutely cruel

man kirumi really fucking lost it right at the end there, huh? there's something so fascinating to watch about the most dignified, composed person here losing their composure and rapidly unraveling, fighting to reach an outside world that is probably a complete fabrication. man, what a tragedy.

the maki reveal is...not unexpected, tbh. there was so much shady stuff about her. and like toko in the first game, there is not a CHANCE she is killing a single person in this game lol

First little snippet of the ‘Grace is in the church of the starry children’ AU

It’s mostly Brenda pining for her tbh, we’ll get more into the plot in the next installment, hope y’all enjoy! Also, thanks again to @aroace-elgyem for the idea <3

Summary: In one timeline, Grace and her family are still highly devoted to their religion, but they worship entirely different Gods (or, rather, Lords) and have to be a little more hush-hush about it. Her old family friend, Uncle Wiley, brings her two special gifts for her eighteenth birthday: a cool, authentic vintage denim jacket from the eighties and her very own copy of the black book. She promises to use it sparingly until she’s older and she’s had more practice, but when Brenda, the pretty cheerleader at school with an obvious crush on her, confides in her that she’d do anything to get back her sister who disappeared, Grace decides to make an exception for her.

Grace eagerly springs out of bed the second her alarm goes off. Most days, she’d be a little more reluctant to leave her warm, cozy sheets and fight the temptation to hit the snooze button a few times, but today’s not just any day. She’s turning eighteen and her parents promised her that this is the year she can finally help Mr. Murray out with the Honey queen pageant. They reluctantly agreed to let her last year, but she didn’t get to do anything cool or important. Under strict orders from her parents not to let her do anything too intense, Mr. Murray pawned Grace off on Mrs. Monroe, who pawned a bunch of busywork off on her. This year’s going to be different, though. She’s eighteen now. She’s an adult and that means she finally gets to help with the actual pageant and witness the super important ritual that happens afterwards.

She takes a scalding hot shower and does her usual morning routine, getting dressed and putting on one of the two pairs of pants she owns with a texture she can tolerate, a faded black pair of jeans. She decides she wants to look nice today, it being her birthday and her very first day as a proper adult and all, and layers a white collared shirt underneath a black cable-knit sweater. By the time she gets downstairs for breakfast, her parents are waiting there for her with the biggest smiles on their faces and a fresh cup of coffee with her name on it.

“Morning, Gracie,” says her mother “happy birthday! Oh, our little girl’s all grown up, can you believe it, Mark?”

“I can’t, mother,” he replies, beaming with pride as he looks upon his daughter “seems like just yesterday, she was saying her first word! Oh, have we ever told you that story, Grace?”

She rolls her eyes, but she does so with a smile.

“Yeah, dad, only, like, a million times!”

She knows it by heart now. The two had a running bet. Her mother was certain that her first word would be some variation of “mama”, while her father was convinced it would be “dada”. Neither of them ended up winning. Her first word was, in fact, “Wiggog Y’wrath” and they were both shocked and delighted at how clever their baby girl was to learn and pronounce such a difficult, but important word. She sits down at the table and takes her first sip of the piping hot, perfectly brewed beverage. Her mother slides a plate in front of her. She even gets funfetti pancakes today! So far, this birthday is off to a great start.

“Make sure you drink your water, too,” her mother gently reminds her “all that coffee is going to dehydrate you!”

“I will, Mama,” she says. She always makes sure to bring a small water bottle with her in her backpack.

“Oh, Wilbur, called,” Mark says.

“Uncle Wiley?” Grace says excitedly “what did he say?” He’s been a beloved family friend as long as Grace can remember. He really is like an uncle to her. He doesn’t get to stop by very often, but when he does, he always tells Grace that she has a lot of potential and she’s going to go on to do important things when she’s older. He also always brings her apples for whatever reason. She doesn’t get why he likes them so much and she herself has never been partial to them, but she gratefully accepts them, just happy that he thought of her even when he’s busy with such important work. Sometimes, she and her mother bake them into apple pies.

“Well, he has an important meeting today, but if he can get out soon enough, he wants to stop by to see you tonight.”

Grace hopes he can make it. If her parents still put up a fight about the Honey Queen thing, he can surely help convince them.

She checks her phone and realizes that if she doesn’t hurry, she’s going to be late for school. She collects her daily hug from her father and kiss from her mother and heads out the door.

She parks her beaten up, but beloved two-door sedan that’s a few years older than her and heads inside. She doesn’t have much time to waste getting to class, but stops when sees Brenda standing by the front entrance, waving to her and smiling eagerly. Brenda’s one of the few people at school who actually willingly talks to her. Most of her fellow students side-eye Grace and avoid her as much as possible, others whisper about her behind her back and barely conceal their judgmental looks and laughter. It doesn’t bother her. She doesn’t need the approval of ignorant people who don’t know what’s good for them or the town or the world, anyway. Still, she can’t deny that it’s sweet that Brenda goes out of her way to be genuinely nice to her. She supposes she can spare a minute to chat with her. She doesn’t want to be rude.

“Hi, Grace,” she says with a nervous laugh “so weird running into you here! I was just waiting for, um, Stacy. Yeah! Hey, it’s your birthday, right? Happy Birthday! I actually have a little something for you. Nothing special, but, uh yeah.”

She hands over one of those bottled coffee drinks and a small box. Grace opens it to find a navy blue scrunchie with tiny birds printed all over it.

“They���re Nighthawks,” Brenda explains with a faint blush on her cheeks.

“Oh, thank you, Brenda,” Grace says, studying the object and fiddling with it in her hands. “That’s really sweet.” She’s not sure what to do with it. Her hair’s on the shorter side and she rarely styles it, but Brenda did go to all the trouble of getting it for her. She settles on pulling half of her hair into a ponytail and using the scrunchie to secure it in place.

“Oh, cute,” Brenda says “I’m glad you like it! Oh, I should get to class, I’ll see you later, okay? Happy birthday!” She blurts out the words a little too quickly and promptly turns and speedwalks away. Grace guesses she changed her mind about meeting up with Stacy.

Brenda tries to regulate the pounding in her heart as she walks to class, in disbelief that she actually managed it. She overcame her nerves long enough to talk to Grace and give her the gift. She seemed to like it, too! It took forever to settle on what to get her. She didn’t want it to be too nothing, but she also didn’t want to go overboard and scare Grace off. She might be super down bad for Grace if she’s being totally honest with herself, but Grace doesn’t need to know that. At least not yet. They’ve only really talked a handful of times when Brenda’s worked up the courage to chat with her in the hallway or ask to borrow a pencil in one of their shared classes. It’d be weird to get her a super extravagant gift, as much as Brenda wanted to. She annoyed Stacy to no end, forcing her to pore over endless options and help her decide. Eventually, Stacy sent her the link to the scrunchie and messaged her, girl I love you but its 3am, just fucking get this and let me go to bed, we have school in the morning!!

By the time she joins her friends at the lunch table, she’s still buzzing.

“Hey, Brenda,” Kyle says “heard you talked to Chasity today. Didn’t know you were into serial killers.” He’s trying to act all tough and macho, but a genuine sort of hurt underlies it. Brenda almost feels bad, but she really can’t help if she doesn’t like him back.

“Shut up, Kyle,” she says “she is not a serial killer. Just because she’s quiet and aloof and mysterious and probably has dark secrets doesn’t make her a serial killer.” Brenda feels her face heating up. It might not make her a serial killer, but it does make her really, really cool and intriguing and hot. “And it’s not like we were making out!” If only. “I’m not into her like that!” Lies. “I just wanted to give her a birthday present.”

“Yeah, shut up, Kyle,” Max says, shooting a threatening look his way “how many fuckin’ times do I have to tell you, Grace Chasity is off limits. Do you want her to overhear?” He shudders, apprehensively eyeing the table across the cafeteria where she’s seated with the sweaty anime geek and a few other egregiously uncool people.

Most people at school are a little weary of Grace, but Max is downright terrified of her. However hard he tries to hide it, it’s pretty obvious. It didn’t take long for some of the nerds he torments on the regular to figure this out and start clamoring to sit with her at lunch. Even they seem to find her a little weird and off-putting, but they know he won’t approach if she’s there and they’ll get to enjoy their food in peace. Grace doesn’t really talk to them much. Whenever Brenda totally coincidentally walks by their table, Grace is brooding and silent, either with her face buried in a book or scribbling furiously in a notebook, seemingly engrossed in her own world and totally unaware of them rambling about their favorite Pokémon or whatever. Brenda sighs dreamily. She’s so cool.

Stacy turns to Brenda with a skeptically raised eyebrow and saying, “So, you’re not into her, but you somehow knew today’s her birthday even though you guys, like, barely talk? And made certain friends spend hours picking out that gift?”

“Hey,” says Brenda “I make it a point to know everybody’s birthday.”

“Really? When’s mine,” says Kyle. She scrunches her face up, struggling to remember.

“I wanna say…sometime in June?” Kyle shakes his head, looking slightly crestfallen.

Brenda cringes, feeling a twinge of genuine guilt for getting it wrong. Max snickers, delighted as always at seeing Kyle get shot down.

“March twelfth, right, buddy?” Jason says and Kyle’s lips curl into a faint smile. Brenda makes a mental note of that date so she doesn’t end up in this situation again. She really should start tracking everyone’s birthdays.

Depends Better at following recipes and making things that have a legit name - Percy Better at making like 3 random ingredients taste really good - Remus

I think that Remus holds himself back when it comes to Percy I don't think they're a particularly sappy couple but i like the idea that they leave little memos around the house about reminders and such

3. Which one outlives the other, and how they cope

I do think Percy outlives Remus even in a Remus survives the war au not only is there the age gap and Remus already being a good bit older then him which is sorta whatever in wizard health but he is also a werewolf and also canonically not normally well off enough to really take care of himself for many years so i think it just happens I also think it's something Percy expected so its something that he comes to terms with far before it actually happens so he's devastated but is still able to pick himself back up to be there for Teddy

4.What they do on date night

take out at home? probably dropping off Teddy with Harry or his grandmother for the night

5. How many kids they’ll have

Like I said for Perciver I typically give Percy 4 kids in most scenarios but for them when I think about them its typically a soulmate au (because i love the concept of Remus trying so hard not to ruin this poor kids life by just trying to avoid it in one way or another) or a Remus lives au when its within the first few years after the war so in that case i think like 2 (or three if you have Molly and Lucy as twins again) is more likely

Cluttered but leaning more Percy clutter then Remus clutter idk if that makes sense

I think once Percy gets past that weird new driver phase that everyone has to get through that they're pretty even

As you so amazingly put it before Remus being Remus and Percy being Percy Idk i think they fight pretty often but its always shit where both sides honestly think their doing the right thing and it ends in one side crying and avoiding each other for a couple of days and only interacting when they have to I do think they get better the longer they stay together though they kinda have to get to the point where they actually understand the why the other is saying something over taking the words at face value

I think they watch vhs tapes together. of what? idk but by the time I normally think of them together vhs tapes would be getting very cheap so i could see Remus getting ones he found as like a main form of entertainment for him (and probably Teddy) I also just feel like a vhs or dvd player would work better in a wizarding household vs cable personally Especially vhs tbh VHS tapes are not even like electronic you know? I could image someone having made a spell that just works as a projector pretty easily

11. What their first impression was of each other

Respect like as a teacher very "well he seems competent" on Percy's side I dont think Remus thought about Percy much at all until later in the year and it was probably just that he was smart or something basic like that the man was distracted

hmm probably something simple? I dont think they would do anything grand or expensive probably spend the day at home and just try to relax

13. Which makes a bigger deal of birthdays

Percy only by a bit though and mostly for Remus' sake because he will loom into a depression over his life on his birthday unless somethings going on to pull him out of it (honestly Percy does it too though at least for the first few years after the war I think Remus is just more like low-key when it comes to trying to help with that)

Uhh probably none? I could see Remus picking up on Percy being called Perce by his family though and maybe using it

In Percy's case how much Remus just really doesn't seem to like himself and in Remus' case how Percy tries to work away his feelings when they're not like positive

Part 1 of possibly quite a few of these, but I plan on making a human design (aka just headshots) of all the regional managers!

The order for this one (left to right) is: Benjamin, Brian, Misty, Buck, Flint, and Holly!

Explanations for their specific design choices under the cut!

Starting with Ben, I wanted to keep his bell silhouette without doing anything too weird to him? So I just made his hair more bell shaped (thanks to my friend for the different hair choice)! The little hair thing on the top of his head is supposed to be his little bell hook, and the freckles on his face are supposed to represent the square lines on his face!

I had a bit of trouble with Brian at first since I didn't know what to do for his brain part, but I finally chose what hair would fit best for that shape: space buns! The massive glasses are supposed to represent the little goggle(?) things he has on his face. and the freckles and earring(s) are supposed to be the little dots on his face! The x on his nose is also a scar to be like the one he has on his original model.

Misty was probably the easiest to do since she already looks mostly human. I didn't change much about her, except give her freckles and a nose piercing to be like the dots she has on her nose on her model.

Buck was probably the most fun! His glasses are supposed to be those dollar sign ones (or like the horribly designed new years ones, you know the ones), since I was NOT drawing him with long rectangle glasses. The little part above his lip / below his nose is a cleft lip, but I didn't draw it very well unfortunately; it was supposed to look a little like his beak? Since it curves in a specific way. His nose is also supposed to be beak-like too

Flint I also had a lot of trouble with, since he doesn't really have a face? Just more of the mask than anything, so I just kept his goggles! His hair is supposed to be all wavy like fire, so i just kinda went nuts drawing it. He also has burn scars on the side of his face, hence the revealed teeth. I didn't have much to work with on this one, so I just kinda did whatever.

I think Holly is the best looking out of all of these tbh,, Her nose is supposed to be like her knight helmet (as in the way it looks like a beak / super pointy), the freckles on her nose are like her helmet holes. Her hair is like the cable things that she has on the back of her helmet, and her widows-peak is like the design on the top / front of the helmet. I also wanted to give her scars on her face cause that seems very fitting for her imo.

Hey Msweebyness, I got a question: What is the Theater kids aesthetics? What about the recess kids?

Well, I can’t speak for the Recess Kids, they belong to Artzy! But here are the theater kids:

Missy: Mostly punk aesthetic, she wears spikes and chains, but she mixes it with a lot of bright colors.

Jesse: Kind of casual theater kid, he wears a lot of jeans and hoodies, but his shirts usually have graphics of plays and musicals.

Ayesha: Kind of a Rainbow Brite aesthetic, tbh. She wears BRIGHT colors, with yellow being her favorite. Everything about it says “RAY OF SUNSHINE.”

Eri: Full Gothic Lolita. Black, Lace, Silk, Skirts, Parasol, gloves, the works.

Anthony: Goth Boi, he wears almost all black. Also a bit of punk in there. His signature accessory is a leather black trench coat.

Roxie: PUNK to the max. That is all.

Evie: Kind of casual Southern Belle type fashion. She wears a lot of dresses, or blouses and skirts. She also likes to wear gloves and carry a parasol.

Brecken: Country boy…but with a jock edge. Like he’ll wear running shoes and a sports jersey, but with jeans and a flannel shirt with the sleeves torn off.

Soo-Yeon: Kind of athletic, I guess. He normally wears like jeans and T-shirts, but with his basketball shoes and jacket.

This is how you write when you're tired

Work is fine I guess. I'm still in a big muddle, tbh. Charging right out of the gate being asked to do the sort of thing that somebody with a lot more experience and a much higher pay grade did at Old Job is... a lot. I've tried out and presented on a couple of different tools and making those presentations was extremely stressful, not because I dislike public speaking, but because I dislike public speaking to persuade on topics that Have Consequences, such as which of those tools to invest in. Both have their pros and cons and I just would like the people to make a decision so I can get on with the actual writing.

Working with the content is the best way to familiarize yourself with it. At Old Job my first assignment was to proofread everything with a fresh set of eyes, and I'm finally getting to do a bit of that now.

Even though I don't need to be at the office every day, the 45-minute commute each way does eat up a lot of hobby time (or more specifically, the transition time that I need to switch between activities). So I'm still struggling to squeeze in the time I want to spend for each thing and end up with decision paralysis and then none of those activities are getting enough time because it's suddenly 4 AM.

I'm too tired to read the article now (In fact I usually need to be a bit tipsy to read these articles, because the reasons), but I don't expect him to have shared anything new. One wonders if it's the media being fixated on his mental health recovery story (the media sure love a "celebrity breaks down and/or turns their life around" story) or if it's something that he wants.

New keyboard is alive! The coil cable is wholly extra but I sprang for it—pun intended—just because it's fun. The thing is built like a brick and is heavier than the old one. In less space! I even paid less for this than the old gamer keyboard! ("gamer" stuff is pretty overpriced and often overwrought anyway).

When gaming I keep hitting one key over because the old keyboard had a column of macro keys down the side (which I didn't really use anyway). I could rebind all the controls one key over but that would be silly. I'll get used to it. I guess really clicky keys are a gamer thing so I'm also getting used to the significantly lighter touch on these brown switches.

But also, designer keycaps are hecking expensive. And I'd like to get a different set of Swedish/Nordic numbers/letters; the legends on these aren't quite right (it's missing @ on AltGr+2, and * and ' are swapped, among other things).

What with being a PWP and very trying to be gender neutral, I couldn't insert much in here, but I have thought long and hard, a lot of times, about how Revrev was like before he was uploaded into a bot.

Idk but there's two lines that give us a glimpse into how he was before "he used to need a reason to kill, but now he's not that man anymore" regarding Revenant and "Kaleb Cross has no morals" so they are kinda contradictory but I'm trying to wrap my head around it

IMO I think as a human "he needs a reason" is just... "Hammond said the guy should pay" is a reason enough (and as Rev he just kills indiscriminately if/when he can). I also feel like he's sadistic with adults but the kids of his targets he offs quick and painless, sparing them the anguish of having their life flipped upside down, also it just reduces revenge-plots on him down the line (Loba lmao) considering he was rather old for a hitman (44?!?!?! old man) I do really believe he excelled in his job in all manner of aspects. I imagine he'd do stuff like social engineering (ding dong hello it's ur cable guy) and thus would be a rather well-rounded individual capable of a range of human emotion.

That's a long-winded way to say I do imagine Kaleb Cross kept some manner of relationships with others, probably a lover, or a bunch of them even. I don't think he'd commit to one and if it were only just one it wouldn't be sunshine and roses. Sex would be amazeballs, but he'd be toxic in all the other ways. I hc in this he doesn't remove his clothes during sex, especially when he's in his handsome hitman gear (the suit) kinda like his equivalent of a leather dom gear lmao but it's mostly a demonstration and immersion of himself in his element of power. In the Revtane fic I imply he did have a relationship too, and when I was writing this I imagine the "reader" and the relationship he had bittersweet memories of are the same. I always imagine if he were to have a relationship that the person would definitely know he's a hitman, would also be a part of the syndicate in a way or another (therefore somehow Outlands upperclass with a significant backing/power) and be familiar with the kind of sociopathy it takes to be on top. So, def it's a toxic relationship on both sides, but it somehow works. There's love there I GUESS but it's not a normal, domestic bliss kinda love... also yes I do really think he's gay af (even if a femme person dressed him he wouldn't look like that I s2g) but for delulu purposes I made it gender neutral

Anyway yes all that for a 1.7k word fic haha. I have so many ideas for the revtane fic I'm writing but I'm letting that one stew even more.

re: your reaction to bones season 3 (this message contains no spoilers!) — if you like any scripted show that got partially made in late 2007/early 2008, it’s likely that the season from then is weirdly short and made some very specific choices! from november 2007–february 2008, the writers guild of america (the wga; a labour union representing tv and film writers) was on strike

every 3 years the wga negotiates a new basic contract, but in 2007 they were unable to come to an agreement with the motion picture & television producers due to things like wanting a fair share of dvd sales and also "new media" (watching shows online, cable on-demand, stuff like that)

so production stopped for nearly every scripted show for those few months, and many things had to wrap up very quickly: this led to season 3 of bones being what it is. at the end, there was no change to dvd residuals but the agreements on new media set a precedent for the rights of writers for streaming service shows as they exist today

yes, when I noticed the season was shorter than the other ones I immediately assumed it probably had to do with the strike since I knew about how it had affected other shows I watch/watched (supernatural, gossip girl, oth, etc)!

And tbh after sitting with that plot "twist" for a while I definitely think you can see how the strike made it so that it was all very rushed, and I'm sure it would've been set up better if it wasn't because of that. I'm still undecided on wether it made sense for his character or not because I know people have conflicting opinions on it, but that's a different story. I do need to think about it more but my initial thoughts are mostly focused on the way cults and conspiracies can turn even the most intelligent people, so maybe that's why I'm not immediately rejecting the storyline.

Now, aside from those issues, (spoilers ahead) can I say that I love how the squint squad was like "ah yeah our friend zack killed someone but whatever, we love him and we aren't really angry" like ??? excuse me??? lkalsklaskl (I hope they are still like visiting off-screen and stuff, because they showed a little bit of it and then never again hahah). I still miss him but I'm also assuming the actor wanted to leave the show and that's why they wrote that storyline for him (I would look this up to check if its true but I don't want to be spoiled because I dont know if they are going to go back to the gormogon plot in later seasons)

i'm procrastinating so here's an intro to a Hermitcraft AU i've been slowly microwaving in my brain for 3-5 business months:

basically, Hermitcraft show/stage set au! each hermit is a member of the cast, crew, or both, and alongside the regular storylines of the show, they feature crazy builds and ridiculous redstone as a part of the worldbuilding.

While several of the Hermits live on-server, mostly admin/operator people and anyone who really wants to, most of them live off-server or part-time. Iskall somehow has a timeshare with some unknown entity of his own base on-server. He doesn't know how he got it. No one can explain the situation to her, either.

Mostly backstage stuff, tbh; Meeting & Eating, weekly script-readings, goofing around on-set, dealing w shit when it inevitably goes wrong (losing lens caps, forgetting lines, laying dolly tracks, etc), building, mining, crafting, attempting to get Tango out of his cave, and annoying each other until it becomes a bit.

Hels and Ex live on-server, Ex as a cinematographer and Hels as an operator. Because the show recently got swapped from a cable channel to a streaming service, but the season was already filmed with commercial breaks, they have been tasked with filling 2-5 minutes of time in the middle of episodes. Nearly half of their budget goes into bleeping parts out. They have featured segments such as: "3 Second Interviews", "Explaining Star Wars Lore To Scar Incorrectly Until He Explodes", "Swapping Hels and Wels Without Telling Wels About It", and various backstage interviews, set tours, costuming visits, and different versions of force-feeding American food to non-Americans.
