Jonny: A shrike. Small, violent little critters. OR a chicken, because the cannibalism thing. (I also just think it’s really funny.)

Ashes: Whistling kite! They (along with a few other species) take burning sticks from forest fires and spread it to flush out prey. Arsonist bird, just like Ashes!

Drumbot Brian: Canada goose, since they travel long distances (like a pilot might!) this is also one of the birds that just Is Them. Just look at him. Look me in the eyes and tell me that man isn’t a goose. Soft, round, they look good to hold but they’re simultaneously full of violence.. silly goose Brian….

Raphaella: Wandering albatross. Yet another one who really truly just is. Look at that bird. It's her.

Marius: Common kingfisher! He's the one who originally sparked this idea, after we saw a picture of one and immediately got slammed by the idea of anthro bird mechs. The colors. Just look. That bird is Him.

Ivy: Rock ptarmigan, pigeon, or a mourning dove. She's just a soft round bird like Brian. They all have fitting coloration in a way, too.

Toy Soldier: European nightjar. The freaks my one true love. Nightjars look so fake., like they’re one of those puppet animal plushies you put your hand in to move the mouth.

Tim: Steller's jay. He inexplicably reminds me of one, similar mannerisms and everything. Tim is really truly such a corvid, also considered a blue jay for him. Deep down in my heart of hearts Gunpowder is a seabird like an osprey or petrel, though I have no reasoning for those ones.

Nastya: Eurasian magpie. Shiny blue smart bird. Looks mildly disappointed in you. Love u nastya

so the mechs totally speak a pidgin language of all their native languages right. we can agree on this right. their accents are a horrific mashup of all their original ones too, to the point where every single word they say sounds heavily accented to a native speaker of the language that word came from, even if its the mech that was originally a native speaker of that language. does this make sense at all?? they're just a linguistic mess i think they deserve it

While Eddie dies from the bats, Robin dies from the vines choking her. Steve refusing to leave her makes Nancy go ahead to defeat Vecna. While he’s still trying to save Robin who he can’t face is dead he get attacked by demodogs who came to try and save Vecna.

Nancy returns alone and has to drag a crying Dustin away from Eddies body, holding in tears of her own as she realizes that Eddie, Robin and Steve were gone.

you know what would've been really fun? if like how the dracas speak Norwegian, and the vamalia speak German, the Lycana had irish as their first language. I know it would've probably been "too much effort" or something to find native speakers either as the actors or to provide things for the script. but i would've loved to hear ivy and seymore speaking in gaeilge, even just turning up and saying "dia dhuit" instead of "hey" or muttering things others can't hear under their breath and them even implying that they were speaking irish would be been so fun.

especially since this is the late 1800s but it's been implied that they were around for a while so they would've been born to gaeilge speaking families,but probably forced to speak English while the english were over causing trouble in ireland. so we can still have them beleivably speaking english on the ship but speaking irish in private.

they probably won't do this if they make another season,but I really want them to

I have a headcanon that Ivy really enjoys board and card games, like Cluedo, Monopoly, Jenga, Uno, Taboo, maybe even DnD, you get the point. She has a lot of different board games at home and I think that back in the day, at least once every weekend, she, Winnie and her father would play one of them all together, her Nana joining in occasionally. Winnie would sometimes have rage fits over losing though 💀
