TW: Mentions of NSFW, L0li/Sh0ta, incest and similar themes please proceed with caution!!!!!!
Hi c-sharps or maybe just sharps? Can I call you that?
Why is there diaper porn and pages who post incest in your likes? Your likes are entirely public and this fandom is mostly populated by children. Most people in this fandom are underage and you are purposely entering a fandom with them on an alt account where you like and interact with this stuff. You might be trying to call out people within this fandom but you also interact with people who are into ABDL and are Kodocons (someone who likes both shota and loli) that ship incest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Names are censored as this person is not involved in the LOTF fandom and has also abandoned the account
Hello, you may not know me and you may not know this new account. However, I've been a fan of Lord of the Flies for a while and have been active in the fandom for a long time. This is an alt. This might sound weird, and abrupt but something has been brought to my attention that has been bugging me for a while and it's not just the small bickering and arguments and random anon posts.
Lately, while scrolling on the tag, I've become suspicious of a slightly big (?) Lotf account that is clearly lying to people and manipulating them. A few other associates have some forward to me through the past months telling me their suspicions, telling me they feel uncomfortable and are unsure if it's just them. I looked it through, and from an outsiders perspective it's quite easy to tell what this person is doing. Timelines that don't match, suspicious behaviour, outright (?)lying about art and making those who support them always go to their defense.
To me, I'm unsure if people around them know that this person is harmful or if the people around them are truly ignorant of the situation they have been manipulated into. They are believing and some, out right supporting, this false narrative the person has made for themselves. This 'nice persona', that lies and fans the flames in the background, making themselves look better or as the bigger person. They themselves, are essentially an oc that they set a personality for.
Right now, I just want to warn you guys about the people you are trusting, the people you believe to be your "friends" because watching this manipulation happen, having these former tactics being used on me, is like watching younger me again be taken advantage of. I don't care how old or mature you are, please please take a moment and think about if you're truly placing your trust into the right person. I won't personally be saying their username, since I'd much rather send a message and warning. Plus, I do not know what they would do, or what the people who would support them do. I'm not sure if people will even believe me posting this here since I haven't been using this account.
Take care, and please take a look at the people around you. The story doesn't make sense
And if you're the person who I'm talking about, which I'm assuming you already know, you're not sly. When your whole fake account falls apart, I hope you know, you won't be able to use human shields or excuses anymore!

Wrightworth is not "Sunshine x Grumpy"
They are "Visibly Traumatized x Repressed Trauma", they are bitch for bitch, they are so many more interesting things than that overused dynamic.
Miles is not some sad boy who needs to be coddled, he is a grown ass adult who sent many people to jail. Some of which could have possibly been innocent. He's done some shitty things that are influenced yes--but not excused by his trauma. He can and SHOULD be called out on things he did, stop blaming all his bad actions on Manfred or Gant.
Phoenix is not a golden retriever boyfriend. Maybe he was in college when he was "Feenie" but that shit ended the day Dahlia was arrested (Hot take Feenie feels more ooc to the Phoenix we knew in the trilogy than Beanix ever did to me). Phoenix is a snarky bitch almost all the time, even thinking/saying downright mean things to/about people he cares about like Maya. He has massive big brother energy but not always in the "I'll take care of you" way but often in the "I'm gonna disgust/upset/annoy you on purpose because I think it's funny" way. (Like if you choose the fishing pole in Turnabout Goodbyes, he teases Maya by suggesting they use Missile as bait, which Maya takes as well as you'd expect).
Miles is not a princess who waited every day for Phoenix to save him. Miles was perfectly content to forget his past entirely as is his coping mechanism, and Phoenix has a savior complex that no one asked him to have. Miles never asked for Phoenix to reappear in his life, Phoenix just realized Miles was gonna ignore him, so he became a lawyer himself so that would no longer be an option for Miles.
This isn't to say Wrightworth is a bad ship by any means. This is to say that their characterization and relationship are so often blatantly misunderstood by the fandom. So often watered down to fit a basic mold. Which is a shame because their actual relationship is so much more interesting to me.
Sooo many fanfics get both of their characters wrong to either fit a dynamic they never were or because they want to give them less accountability than they deserve.

i have to admit that i'm kind of scared to say this. i've held this thought to myself for a bit but. honestly, i'm unsure how i feel about people demonizing the concept of voicing & having criticism towards fanganronpas as a response to proclaimed fans of fanganronpas who have criticism rooted in bad-faith that is expressed disrespectfully. to say criticism, even when it is constructive, is less needed due to fangans being "less established" is—although understandable to an extent—simplistic thinking to me as it disregards context.
fanganronpas aren't established media—they may not have much impact to the general population as they are not promoted in established industries. yet there will be impact that is noteworthy regardless as not only it has its roots and inspiration from already established media, but also its apart of a niche community that is an extension of a larger community (danganronpa). let alone a niche community that is built on taking inspiration from other projects that are established or not.
criticizing fanganronpas extends to being criticism towards danganronpa, then to tropes the series uses which exists outside of that series. and what i'd argue is the most important—criticism towards fanganronpas act as inspiration for other fanganronpa creators and can be an expression of your love towards the series. for people to demean all criticism as unneeded and a character flaw of somebody, to just group up criticisms rooted in love or concerns for representation with ones fundamentally in bad-faith, and to just disregard the complexities of criticism by reducing it to one form—is harmful.
this thinking towards criticism leans towards being exclusive when at times they can also be concerns for how a fangan may use tropes that perpetuate harmful beliefs ingrained in society and/or contribute to (common) limiting tropes attached to minorities in media . i feel wary to voice or even have criticisms towards my own representation that is commonly disregarded or stereotypical (with those stereotypes stemming from harmful and dehumanizing beliefs) in fanganronpas and danganronpa. my concerns of how black, tanned & brown or women, girls, & femmes or how queer characters are represented in fanganronpas don't just stop there. they don't just stop at danganronpa either. they extend to the representation outside of that art, because both fanganronpas (and danganronpa) are impacted by media (and society) outside of danganronpa.
i don't know how to feel really. i don't always have criticism, all of my spaces (like this blog) is not built from my criticisms on fangans, i don't always feel the desire or need to attempt at spreading my criticism around with tags and all, i don't always desire or need to attempt at bringing significant impact with my criticisms. yet still, i partially feel unwelcomed in the fanganronpa community just for having criticisms sometimes, even towards things that really matter. seeing how my race and skintone is represented in both danganronpa & fangans AND how fans in both of their communities respond to that representation & people who voice their concerns of that respresentation have made me disillusioned to the concept of a total "positive" space that doesn't allow criticism for the sake of comforting those who might not even be affected by the representation that *needs* to be criticized.
i feel too complicated about the discussion. i also dont think this way of thinking towards criticism also gets to the root of those proclaimed fans of fanganronpas who express their nonconstructive criticisms in harshness—which is entitlement, at times unhealthy parasocial relationships with the creator, and wanting to feel "owed" by the creator that is so insanely common in fandoms. its not that theyre voicing or having criticisms in the first place, its how they voice it or have criticisms based on negative attitudes with no valid depth behind it (which may disregard the narrative for the sake of personal tastes). instead, this thinking towards criticism risk shutting down vaild criticisms and concerns about the harm fangans may perpetuate and how they can contribute to regressive representation of minorities.
#sunny.txt#ive seen fangans perpetuate the “perfect victim” myth. ive seen fangans contribute to tired tropes of tanned and brown characters-#that stems from dehumanizing beliefs attached to specific racial minorities and a darker-skinned tone.#ive seen fangans treat their characters who are women and girls that are similar to already existing tropes stemming from misogyny#these things deserve to be met with concern. and/or even some criticism.#and yet fangan space continues to shut down the concept of voicing or wanting to be critical or have general concerns of a series#genuinely that sucks. like as a black person not only i feel constantly unwelcomed in the dr fandom but also fanganronpas#which sucks even harder. fangan spaces are more likely to promise handling representation of minorities with care-#AND promise to be more open and less hostile towards minorities in their community#because a good handful of creators and dr fans were critical and dissatisfied with dr's handling of minorities in the series.#a good handful of fangan creators and fans know the dr community can be hostile and is exclusive to minorities. especially poc.#its not as if i really expected fangan communities to be *that* welcoming. i mean they are an extension of the dr community#but how the fuck fangan creators and fangan fans want to promise those things while not wanting to be critical?#being critical is absolutely necessary for better representation AND welcoming minorities in fandoms#this all just makes me kind of sad#and like also. for criticism and concerns can be an expression of LOVE towards a fangan!!#im tired of people having such a simplistic view toward being critical (and even having concerns towards a media)#to the point that they shut down ALL criticisms . which actively shuts down criticisms on representation and possible#bigotry expressed in the media. which are very very very important kind of criticisms.#sigh whatever maybe im looking to deep into the “fangans shouldnt be met with criticisms bc its not established” whole thing#for me being critical most often is an expression of love towards art. fangans are art. so i will treat them the same way as i treat art.#keeping this post rebloggable since i doubt i will cause anything serious with this post. or well i doubt this will be spread around#since not many of my followers care about fangans#this whole discussion is literally just a very specific form of “fanfiction dont need to be criticized bc its not establsihed” discussion#which is mostly said by those who disregard or even justify that many fanfics handling characters of colors poorly or#using misogynistic tropes which may or may not be for the sake of centering men in their fics. sigh.

The anon asked if they could have him, they meant as in a sexual way
I am aware. Thank you for the heads up, anon!
My point still stands, though. Also, do not by any means harass that user.

a side effect of simon getting the spotlight in this miniseries is that people who don't know anything about adventure time might be interested in finding out who this sad old man on their dash is. and that's wonderful and i'm really happy he's finally getting this much attention! but he is also A MASSIVE SPOILER CHARACTER in adventure time.
his first appearance (and tbh all subsequent appearances) in AT is such a series highlight, i don't want anyone to miss out on experiencing it for the first time. it is PEAK adventure time.
if you haven't been spoiled already and you care about that, i need anyone who wants to know who this guy is to avoid EVERYTHING about him right now. don't look at him or anything F&C related, don't watch any clips of him at all, DON'T LOOK HIM UP. just go watch adventure time. :) catch up with me after some point in season 3. :) you'll know when. :)
i know it's a long series but please watch up until that point in season 3 and then you can evaluate if you want to watch more. or if you can find one of those spoiler free list of AT lore & plot centric episodes, you can just do that too.
it's just that simon is a very special character to me. his episodes were life-changing and i don't want anyone to miss out on what i first felt watching them.

it’s so interesting to be someone who mainly exists in smaller or deader fandoms, but occasionally dabbles in the mainstream. you’ll read a mediocre fic and a god-tier fic and both have 100 hits, and then you do the same in a fandom like harry potter, and they all have like 15k. y’all are living in LUXURY

may be such a hot take but like…
i hate how sexualized darry is in this fandom. i get it. he’s twenty. people are allowed to make their jokes-at least he’s not a minor (like other characters some of yall sexualize …hard side eye there) but idk, like maybe it’s just because i love his character so much but the whole “him behind a stripper” thing (okay, look, i get it was a tweet made by the author but still, like to me it was obviously a joke) and the whole “mpreg” meme and other things along those lines make me so viscerally uncomfortable.
idk, i just hate how sexualized he is. it’s kind of gross…i’m not trying to sound like a prude, i love a good dirty joke once in a while, but it feels like some people reduce darry to just being some hot guy who strips and stuff. like it just takes so much away from his character. idk. this is just me (don’t come for me)

seeing people I like in the pizza tower fandom slowly drift out of it as their interest / fixation wanes leads to slight panic on my part, because I'm still working on my comic and personal headcanon lore and since it's taking me a thousand years to present publicly in a format I'm happy with, I'm just like "wait don't go I hoped you would see this eventually :("

"i dont ship them but i like this art," sometimes sprinkled with "for me this art is just platonic of them"
Ok firstly no one asked
Secondly uhhhh if you don't ship them, literally no one is gonna try to sway you to ship them so why do you have to comment that?
Thirdly, "it's freedom of speech, I'm on a social media, i can say what i want" no you shouldn't. You can just scroll away. You don't even have to waste your joy of seeing the fanart. You're dampening other people's joy of shipping something with your comment, the world doesn't revolve around you. I will break your legs ❤️
