You know speaking of the Navy etc. Last night my Wife Dani and I were watching the #antiquesroadshow while we ate our supper. Anyhow this guy (in the pic below) brought on a picture and Sailer / Navy Paperwork about his great-grandfather Charles Edward Minor. Now this was interesting to us because this guy had a Life! I mean whoa! Check it out (I have it que'ed up for you, so you don't have to search for the segment when you click on it)
I Love the Antiques Roadshow, it's one of my favorite shows. I have to be honest with you as a Painter, when I watch it, there's a little fantasy I have you know. Maybe in a hundred years one of my paintings might be brought in, you know on the Antiques Roadshow, Mars edition or something. I mean one can hope and all. lol
And I simply Love it when someone brings in some ugly Vase or something that their whole Family has hated for years, but the gal or guy kept it and then they find out it's worth a gazillion bucks.. and you know now that everyone will just love it and it's unique beauty lol.
Oh Man my wife has an antique mantal clock... don't even get me started on that ugly, loud thing... but I keep my mouth zipped (best I can about it) because she loves it. I'm sure that thing would definitely get lugged down to the roadshow. Probably before the Mosasaurus (her favorite dinosaur) tooth I got her a couple of christmases ago. I mean she loves that too... but it just ain't that clock. lol

Dreams, AKA My Crazy Imagination:
So apparently Dreams are said to be visions into different dimensions in the multiverse... so here are some of the glimpses I remember seeing:
A World where Harry Potter Characters are real, and the magic and spells work as well, but everyone else only knows them as book characters.
A world in which I am a Wolf Tribe's princess, and have married a Rival Tribe's Prince in order to unite our Tribes.
A world in which some people I know from Real Life had to protect me from a Water Monster that was trying to use my blood to fulfill some kind of prophecy.
A world where I had to swim across where an Ocean and Swamp met while trying to avoid angry crocodiles with the help from some Beluga Whales, all while carrying my youngest sister on my back.
A world in which I am a College student, studying to be a Marine Biologist, and one of my professors turns out to be a Crocodile/Mosasaurus Creature that ends up introducing me to his very nice wife and two (very hot) sons.
A world where I found an ancient temple that ended up having me being its Goddess that it worshipped, and finding an entire civilization that thought my singing voice made me a deity.
A world in which I was a mage and was healing a young knight that saved my village from raiders. (We ended up falling in love and getting married, even though he was going to be betrothed to this bratty princess.)
A world in which I was Little Red Riding Hood and befriended the Wolf that was trying to eat me after I gave it some of my food. It later protected me from a very bad hunter, and it turned out the wolf was a man that was cursed. (One True Love's Kiss later, we lived happily ever after.)
A world where I had these gorgeous Black Angel Wings, and was soaring through the clouds during an absolutely beautiful sunset.
A world in which I tried to defend an old woman from a rude man, watched as she fainted, and didn't administer an EpiPen fast enough to save her life, and watched as blood splattered my hands before I passed out (and woke up in real life).
And Finally, A world in which I lived in Virtual Reality, was an epic DJ, and created a mixtape of some of my favorite dancing songs for an ultimate party full of my favorite fictional characters (mostly MHA characters, including almost all of Class 1-A except for Mineta).
And That's All For Now. Let me know if you guys wanna hear about more of some of my craziest dreams, and reblog or comment some of YOUR craziest ones. I'd love to hear from you guys!
#lots of love#dreams#dream interpretations anyone??#I'm curious as to what some of these might mean#If this gets enough likes I might write out a full plotline of some of your guys favs on this list#like#comment#reblogs welcome

Jurassic World: Dinosaur Protection Group- Part 01
A six part fanfic- taking place after directly after Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
I’ll be releasing these monthly in the lead up to Jurassic World: Dominion
In a children's clinic somewhere in Northern California, a mid-wife is typing on a computer and asking a woman about her newborn child. In the next room we see her child lying in a wicker bassinet. The mother looks very distressed as she lists the symptoms her child has. As they speak, they suddenly hear a chirping coming from the next room and the baby starts crying loudly as if in distress. The women rush into the room and see around the rim of the bassinet, three dark-green lizards (Compsognathus). The three Compys have blood dripping from their snouts. Softly chirping, one Compy bends down and tears a ragged chunk of flesh from the baby, the women run forward screaming but the child is already dead and the three Compys scatter out of the room leaving behind only bloody three-toed tracks.
Claire returns to the Dinosaur Protection Group headquarters with Zia and Franklin. The place is in an uproar since dinosaur sightings are increasing exponentially daily and no-one knows what is going on since the eruption of Mt. Sibo and Claire, Zia and Franklin's disappearance on Isla Nublar. Claire urges everyone to remain calm while waiting for the US government to make announcements. Newcomer Stephen Calibaz asks what the future of the DPG will be with dinosaurs now on the mainland and what exactly happened to her, Zia and Franklin on Isla Nublar.
Another newcomer, Brooke Silva, suddenly races in turning on the TV. It is a breaking news report from the capitol. Ian Malcolm makes his case that humanity is causing its own extinction with genetic power now out on the mainland and declares the beginning of a neo-Jurassic Age, where humans and dinosaurs must now coexist. Politicians announce the US Fish and Wildlife Service will face a massive overhaul as they assess how many dinosaurs are out in the wild and how to properly deal with them. While DPG members complain about Malcolm overreacting, others including Claire are more relieved that it doesn't sound like the dinosaurs will be hunted down and killed.
Stephen and another DPG member Ed James once again ask what the DPG's role will now be and Claire responds that they do the same thing they have always been doing while she arranges a meeting with Fish and Wildlife Services to make sure the dinosaurs are treated like all endangered species. Zia speaks with Claire worried what the group will think if they learn about what transpired at Lockwood Manor. Claire says that they should focus on one thing at a time but it will need to be addressed.
A clinic coordinator returns home from an exhausted day of work. She looks tired and ready to quit. She opens a bottle of wine and relaxes by the TV when she hears noises coming from her backyard. She grabs a large knife and cautiously heads to the backyard but is puzzled when she hears snorting sounds. She charges outside ready to face whatever or whoever is and is stunned to discover a dinosaur (a Stygimoloch). It is eating her prized plants and she just stares at it in dumb shock before trying to shoo it away from her plants. The Stygimoloch instead tries to headbutt her, leaving her to take cover inside her house.
At night, somewhere in California, Blue explores a neighbourhood. She appears like a cat going back and forth from house to house investigating and smelling. It's a brand-new world for her after all and everything is new and exciting.
In the morning at the DPG, the group listen to news reporting the Mosasaurus has been spotted in Hawaii devouring surfers as Claire announces she has managed to secure a meeting with Fish and Wildlife Services. The news elates the group as Claire continues that the group will face massive changes and she hopes that they will all stand by her. She reveals after discussing with him Ed Regis will now be the Public Relations Manager for the group and that for now the group should focus on dinosaur sightings until she gets more information from the department.
The woman who encountered the Stygimoloch is about to leave her house for work again. She looks outside her backyard nervously to see if she can see it again but there appears to be nothing, so she leaves. As she does some chirping can be heard and the bushes rustle.
Meeting with Martha Williams who is the acting director of the department of Fish and Wildlife services, Claire explains what the DPG can offer and that they have people who worked at Jurassic World with them at their organisation. To Claire's surprise the department is very willing to work with them and was considering contacting Claire. Claire is introduced to Richard Levine a palaeontologist who has been appointed to them as well as Jack Thorne whose company, Thorne Mobile Field Systems, has been assigned to make new vehicles and equipment to help with dinosaur related works. Claire is elated.
In an office, a man calls two men to him to discuss the recent events of dinosaurs now being on the mainland. He says that Eli Mills failed but it doesn't matter, with Wu working for them, and the technology out there in the world, things will start to become more interesting. He suggests sending a spy in to work with the Department of Fish and Wildlife Services as well as with the DPG so they can always be on top of everything that is going on. One man, Howard King, says he has men already lined up and that it's already being taken care of. The man asks the other man, George Baselton if this will work to their advantage and Baselton thinks it will. With InGen and Masrani still dealing with the fallout over Jurassic World, it is the perfect time for Biosyn to fix its image with the public.
Lewis Dodgson smiles.

Jurassic World (2015) dir. Colin Trevorrow. 7/10 Updated 2 years later. (8.25.20.) 7.4/10
The gyroscope is so cool. I would love to go to an amusement park like this. Jimmy Fallon being the guide is too unreal. How very universal studios. I love that I saw bts of this at studio tours because it makes me hyper aware during certain scenes.
Oh, look. Nick Robinson from Love, Simon.
Chris Pratt is so hot.
When did Claire’s hair get wavy? She’s also pretty brave for who she is. She’s not annoying like the wife in the third movie.
Aww, the raptors got to me.
I was wondering what it’d be like if gender roles were switched for Chris Pratt and Claire.
That last battle was so epic and brutal. Isn’t it wild that Earth had dinosaurs in the beginning and now it’s just humans. Like, we have no physical power.
Updated Commentary:
Lowery asking why it’s personal is amusing.
Claire waiting for how Karen would react is relatable.
Owen is who I want during the apocalypse.
Spoiler: [About Karen and Scott Mitchell dropping off their sons, Gray and Zach, at the airport. They are to spend time with their aunt Claire Dearing at her job in Jurassic World, a dinosaur theme park at Isla Nublar. Zach constantly checks out girls on the trip even though he said bye to his girlfriend at home. Gray is constantly wanting to explore and see more since he’s interested in dinosaurs. They are taken care of by Claire’s assistant, Zara. They have VIP access to the rides. Claire is busy talking with investors about how the lab creates better dinosaurs to keep with the excitement. Their first genetically modified hybrid, the Indominus Rex, has been created. Claire doesn’t have too much time for the kids, but greets them. Claire confronts Lowery, a control room worker, about his Jurassic park shirt. His coworker, Vivian, is there too. Simon Masrani is the park owner and flies Claire to the Indominus Rex. He is working to get his flying license. At the Indominus Rex enclosure, Masrani sees that it is able to scare anyone since that’s what they were going for. Masrani wants Owen Grady to check the stability of the paddock. Owen spends his time training the raptors–Blue, Echo, Delta, and Charlie. They listen to his commands. Vic Hoskins is head of InGen security and loves the way the raptors listen to the commands. He wants a field test to see that the raptors can be used as weapons. Owen argues that they can’t be used like that since they are wild animals. A worker goes to trap a runaway pig and ends up falling into the raptor enclosure. Owen goes into the enclosure himself and is able to have the raptors stay where they are. Owen’s assistant, Barry, gets the worker out and Owen asks him to close the door. As the doors shut, Owen quickly gets himself out as the raptors pursue. Vic watches the entire interaction. Gray and Zach evade Zara and go around the park some more. Karen calls Claire and is upset that she’s not being involved with the kids. Claire promises to try. Claire goes to Owen to get his help with the paddock and they mention their failed first date. Gray and Zach watch a showing of the Mosasaurus being fed. Owen gets to the Indominus Rex enclosure and deems that it doesn’t have the social skills to be functional. When they don’t see the dinosaur, they try to locate it with the thermal signature detector. It reveals that the dinosaur is missing and they also notice claw marks on the walls. Claire heads to the control room to check the implant location of the dinosaur. She has Lowery tell her the coordinates and he says the dinosaur is still in the enclosure. He also sees from the security footage that Owen and two workers are in the enclosure investigating the scene. When they are alerted to get out, they see the Indominus Rex. One guard is killed while the other opens the gate and gets out. Owen gets out along with the Indominus Rex. The Indominus Rex kills the other worker while Owen hides underneath a car and uses the gas to mask his scent. Masrani refuses to evacuate the park and focuses on capturing the dinosaur. The Asset Containment Unit goes out to capture it. Gray talks to Zach about how their parents are getting divorced. Owen gets back to the control room and talks about how the dinosaur tricked them and is highly intelligent. He wants the ACU to retreat when he sees that they’re using non-lethal weapons, but they move forward nonetheless. They find the tracking implant on the ground after the Indominus Rex had clawed it out of himself. They then get attacked and killed by the Indominus Rex after noticing that it can camouflage with the surroundings. Claire has the north part of the resort come in. The ride line is stopped after Zach and Gray get on the gyrosphere tour. Masrani confronts Henry Wu about what the dinosaur’s genetic makeup is, but he doesn’t reveal it. They argue and Henry says that this is what they asked for. Zach and Gray roam amongst the dinosaurs and when notified to come back, Zach keeps them out since they are VIPs. Claire learns from Zara that she lost the kids and
she finds that they are in the gyrospheres. No one helps to go retrieve them, so she goes herself. Zach and Gray find an open gate to a restricted area and Zach convinces Gray to go in. Claire recruits Owen to help. Zach and Gray get caught up between the Indominus Rex and other dinosaurs. The gyrosphere flips upside down and as Claire calls them, the Indominus Rex takes notice of them and attacks the sphere. The boys manage to escape and lose the Indominus Rex by jumping off a cliff and into the water. Owen and Claire see injured Brachiosauruses and see that the Indominus Rex is hunting for sport and not to eat. They also find the broken gyrosphere and Zach’s broken phone. They follow the kids’ tracks. The kids get to an abandoned Jurassic Park visitor center and fix up a Jeep. Vic and InGen arrive. Vic tries to argue with Masrani to have the raptors kill the Indominus Rex. Masrani refuses and goes to fly the helicopter with two soldiers. The kids drive away as Owen and Claire find where they were. When they go to use the other Jeep, the Indominus Rex arrives. Masrani’s men start shooting at the Indominus Rex as it crashes into the aviary. The pterosaurs escape the aviary and crash into Masrani’s helicopter, causing them to all die. Zach and Gray get back to the park and Zara goes to get them. The people in the resort are told to get shelter as the pterosaurs start attacking them. Zara chases after Zach and Gray, but is carried off by a pterosaur. She’s taken by multiple and ends up getting eaten by the Mosasaurus. Claire shoots off a pterosaur that’s attacking Owen and he kisses her. Zach and Gray see them. Vic relieves all the workers in the control room and Lowery alerts Claire that the board assigned emergency ops to InGen’s private security division. Owen goes to stop Vic from using the raptors, but has to help nonetheless. He teaches the troopers what to do. Claire drives the kids in the back of the truck as Zach tries consoling Gray. Owen gets the raptors to take in the scent of the flesh that the Indominus Rex clawed off its body with the tracking device. They then go to chase it with Owen riding a motorcycle. When they get to the Indominus Rex, Owen sees it communicating with the raptors and learns that it’s part raptor. It’s the new alpha after Owen. The troopers start shooting at the Indominus Rex and the raptors start attacking the team. One raptor is about to attack Barry as he hides in a log and Owen gets it away. Claire drives off as the raptors pursue the truck and the kids try to lose the raptors. Zach tases one while Claire pushes some away. Because of Vic’s orders, Henry has everyone start evacuating, along with the research. Lowery chooses to stay behind as everyone else in the control room evacuates. He goes to kiss Vivian, but she says she has a boyfriend. Owen, Claire, and the kids get to the lab with no one there. They see Vic and he mentions that Wu works for him and that they are going to advance the deadliness of the dinosaurs. A raptor comes in and kills Vic even though he tries calming it down. The others get outside and are surrounded by the raptors. Owen talks to Blue and releases her from her head guard. The Indominus Rex appears and it attacks Blue after she tries to let Owen get away. The raptors start attacking the Indominus Rex. Claire gets Lowery to open Paddock 9 and they release the T-Rex. The T-Rex and the raptors fight the Indominus until the Mosasaurus eats it. All raptors except Blue died. Owen watches as Blue leaves. The public are tended to by doctors and Karen and Scott arrive.]

The Splash Zone - Tsukishima x Reader (teaser)
Jurassic World! AU
Pairing: Son of Park CEO!Tsukishima Kei x Mosasaur Trainer!Reader
- Word Count: ~ TBD
- Genres: Fluff, angst
- CW: Mentions of death, objectification of main character, sexual harassment
- Mango’s Introduction: Tsukishima the younger is a bit… prickly. Don’t say that to his face, obviously, because he’s technically your boss, but for all his personality flaws, he’s definitely excellent at his job and he cares more about the people around him than he lets on. He’s snarky with that mosasaur trainer more than anyone else, but you can tell he’s sweet on her. I guess you could call it the adult equivalent of pulling a girl’s pigtails on the playground. Uh, don’t tell him I said that, he’s my boss too.
Series Masterlist
“She’s fun, isn’t she?” one of his father’s associates commented. Rather than sitting in the wide open arena seats under the beating sun, Kei’s father, the elder Tsukishima, sat up in an air-conditioned glass box high above the regular seats. Today, a group of shareholders and potential investors were performing their monthly assessment of the park’s assets. Tsukishima was used to it, after going to every single one of these meetings since he was twelve, but he was getting irked by the way a particularly sweaty, sleazy-looking businessman was staring not at the tank itself, but at the trainer on the platform above it. If it weren’t for his father, he would have nastily told all of them to never even breathe in her direction.
“The girl’s gotten real grown up since we first saw her,” the man said, rubbing his chin.
‘Don’t look at her like that,’ Kei growled internally.
“Yes, she has! Good eye, Yamada-san. She just turned twenty-one,” his father replied.
‘But that doesn’t concern you.’
“Mmm, so young,” another dirty businessman observed.
“She’s a pretty one, too,” said Yamada. Tsukishima fought to keep calm.
“Ah, yes, that was a strategic move on my part,” Tsukishima-san said, “The mosasaurus only listens to her, and because I brought her to the island at such a young and impressionable age, she only listens to me.”
“And then you have a safe way to control the dinosaur,” one of the shareholders concluded.
“Exactly. And you’re right, Yamada-san, she’s grown up to be quite attractive. Shame she’s so strong-willed, else she might have made a quality match for my boy. Perhaps if Kei here can reel her in, he’ll make a wife out of her, yet, right, son?”
The younger Tsukishima’s skin crawled as every pair of eyes in the room landed on him. He could just imagine slamming his hand into the men’s faces, pulling the chair right out from that nasty Yamada and beating him with it. Kei grit his teeth.
“Yes, father.”

my first nanowrimo in freshman year was also the only one I finished bc it was easy for me to write bc I just used the scifi/fantasy planet I had been kicking around since fifth grade as the setting and it was about a cyborg and an alien catboy who fall in love while attending magic high school in space and no one cares that they're both guys but it's really frowned upon for alien catboys especially to date someone from a different species. also I think there was a teen pregnancy subplot where th e cyborg's roommate that he hates knocks up his girlfriend and since he's friends with the girlfriend he goes with her to get an abortion??
I started and quit nano projects for the next three years of high school and I don't remember the order but they were
scifi future where the earth is covered in water and also mosasaurus and megalodon and everyone are back and a teenage girl gets kidnapped by a cool pirate and then she has to deal with his rivalry with his ex wife who is an even cooler pirate
scifi future where moon colonies are getting established and people can finally safely and cheaply travel back and forth just for visits so a teenage girl wants to visit her mom who's moved to a lesbian only moon colony but she's nervous about going to the moon alone so she brings her two best friends with her and they have a cool time on the moon
scifi future where a plague has swept the earth and the rich live comfortably in scifi domes and the infection hotspots have been vacated by everyone with any money at all and basically walled off to prevent the leftover impoverished people from spreading the disease. the protagonist is a teenage girl and for some reason she leaves her bubble house and goes into a walled city and meets a group of cool teenage gangsters

Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock review (spoilers....duh) and discussion
(You see that Jurassic Park Logo? Thats awesome)
The Jurassic Park movies had always been my favorite franchise. Jurassic Park is my number one favorite movie ever since I was child. I watch Jurassic Park every night before I go to bed, that’s how much I love the movie. When Jurassic world came out, I was excited and after I watched it, my love for seeing the dinosaurs on screen sky rocketed. Sure the Jurassic World movies are....okay. (Not my favorite, but I won’t get into that) But I am always excited to see the animatronics and more importantly the dinosaurs. So, I was surprised when this short film dropped on YouTube and I was impressed by the sheer quality of this mini sequel of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Let’s take a look at the story of Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock. There is a family, who decided to go camping in the woods and during this camping trip they are met with a family of Tricerotops and a very hungry Allosaurous. Its a very simple story and since the movie was only 8 minutes long, that’s all they needed. This short film is based after the events of Jurassic World 2, where the dinosaurs escaped inland.
When the film begins we are introduced by a news/radio broadcast where they mentioned that a baby triceratops was born on US soil. The first of its kind. This is important because it shows that the dinosaurs are breeding and that might prove problematic in the next film. The same set of broadcast they mention the main character (the family) and their encounter with the Allosaurous, just before we see the actual events.
It is also mentioned (by the daughter) that the reason why the Triceratops were at their campsite was because they are migrating. I suspect that they are migrating to warmer climates, it might be a set up for the 3rd Jurassic World film where the dinosaurs might be heading towards Arizona, New Mexico and Mexico to escape from the cold. It also seems that Humans adapting to the dinosaurs are put into effect. The wife mentioned that the park ranger told them beforehand that if they see any dinosaurs is to remain indoors and let them pass. The wife also added that something happened up “North”, which involved carnivores. What happened? Who knows.
(Aww its so cute! playing with the flashlight, I hope nothing bad happens to it)
The family’s dinner gets interrupted when a mama and her baby wanders into the campsite. The scene is set when everything goes quiet, once there was chatter but now, hushed whispers. No one wants to risk getting gored or eaten by a dinosaur, so everyone stays their distances and turns off the lights. Suddenly the cute scene is interrupted by a threat, a very hungry, adult Allosaurous. The best bits I loved was the bellowing call of the triceratops, almost like a warning call when it saw the predator and like a murderer coming out of the woods, the Allosaurous appears from the fog.
Now this quiet campsite is about to be shaken up and thrown down by two behemoths. The family is now in full panic mode because a carnivore just entered the ring. And like any predator, it goes after the youngest and weakest, the baby tricerotops.
(Its alright, they won’t kill a baby)
The allosaurus grabs the baby and shakes it around. The family is freaking out, I’m freaking out because I didn’t want the baby trike to die but it manages to get away. The mother and Allosaurous face off and begin fighting eachother. The mother trike is losing and just before it seems out, the father trike runs in and defends the mother and its baby. The allosaurus, now outnumbered, decides to back off while the Tricerotops family walks away. And when everyone can breath a sigh of relief, the human baby decides to cry.
Jurassic Park 2 starts to kick in as the Allosaurous flips their RV, knocking them around inside and destroying the camper. The family fights back, and the little girl manages to find the neighbor’s crossbow, fire into the allosaurus and making it retreat back into the woods to lick its wounds.
The family is safe, their RV is destroyed and the dinosaurs are still roaming the earth. At the end credits, there are found footage of humans meeting with dinosaurs. A car narrowly dodges a stegasourous, a group of compys chases a little girl, and my personal favorite, the mosasaurus eating a great white.
And thats where the short film ends.
This film was really good! The allosaurus was actually an animatronic, you can tell when its attacking the RV. I really enjoyed that part. The way they sound, the way they move and the way they interact in the human environment. I really wished that this was a 30 minute special or even twenty minutes. I wanted more of it! There is a lot of foreshadowing in the film, little hints that set up the third film. If I would rate it, it will be.
1. Jurassic Park
2. Jurassic Park 2
3. Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
4. Battle at Big Rock
5. Jurassic World
6. Jurassic World 3
If I would give it a score, it will be a solid 8/10. I thought the human actors were alright, the dinosaurs were really awesome, the found footage was really great and I would like to see more of that in the final film of Jurassic World. I recommend everyone to go see it, and the link is right below.

Jurassic World/Owen Grady imagines - Highly Toxic - Part 1
AN: So, I started this on Wattpad when Jurassic World first came out in 2015 but never published it and since the new Jurassic world will be coming out next year I decided that I would let the world see it but post it on here because Wattpad is kind of dead.
Overall Summary: You’re a world famous journalist that heads to the park a year before the indominus incident and you meet Owen Grady. Will you end up staying at the park or leaving when you’re supposed to.
In this chapter: You arrive at the park after your last visit ten years ago.
Pairing(s): Owen x reader
Word count: 1,946
Warnings: None
"Look Mom, I'll be fine, okay? It's perfectly safe." You held your phone between your shoulder and cheek as you tugged your luggage out of the cab.
"I don't know about this, (y/n), you know what happened at the last park!" Your mother warned you through the phone.
"Mom, I'm 24 years old, and I've been here before remember? Anyway I just arrived and I'm waiting for the boat, there's no going back now. The park has been open for ten years and there's been no major problems. Trust me please." You sighed in response, just at that moment your phone alerted you that there was barely any battery left.
"Just be careful!" She pleaded with a dry chuckle, full of concern.
"I will! Look, I'll text you when I get to the hotel because my phone is about to die."
"Okay! It's just I—"
"—don't like me being by myself, I know you've told me, but I'm here on business not leisure. Now I seriously have to go, I'll talk to you later." You interrupted her before your phone cut you both short by dying.
You groaned and slid your mobile back into your jeans pocket.
You boarded the boat with your light luggage, pushing your sunglasses up onto your head as you tried to spot the island.
It had been a while since you last went there, the park had been open since 2005, it has thrived and developed so well. The last time you came to the island was right before it opened, if you thought your mom was paranoid just then you should've seen her the time you went for just a day trip when the park first opened.
You were fourteen, an oncoming writer on a blog on the internet, you were in the world record book for years with the title the most subscribed blog. Everyone read your blog back then mainly because the world didn't realise it was a fourteen year old girl that ran it. Growing up, you were over-matured in mind and you graduated high school at the age of fifteen. You didn’t like to brag, it was just pure facts and then you graduated college age seventeen before landing yourself multiple jobs where you traveled for many years until you finally settled back down in your home town now only writing articles for popular magazines and the New York Times.
It didn’t take long to arrive at the island. You fanned yourself with the small leaflet that had all information and map of the park as the heat burned down on you. Black skinny jeans, combat boots and a white tank top weren't the best option for Central American weather. You took the hem of your tank and tied it so it lied just above your belly button.
"Miss (y/l/n)?" A tall red headed woman beamed a brilliant smile at you before she rushed forward and held out her hand towards you.
"Yes."You took her hand and shook it in greeting, her hands were small and sweaty obviously she had been waiting a while.
"Claire Dearing, it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm sure you're going to have a wonderful time here." Claire smiled, you wiped your hand on your thigh then gripped onto your satchel.
"How did you know I was going to be here?" You asked trying to speak over the crowds noise.
"We were informed you were to check in today, under business I was told. You are the most popular journalist in the whole of America, one of the most popular in the world. When we first opened you were the cause of 90% of our visitors."
"I am aware. Now, I'm only here for a week so if you don't mind I'd like to get to my hotel. I'm here to write a piece on how the parks developed over the years but I need rest and food before anything." You said flatly, you weren’t purposely trying to be rude but lack of food and exhaustion made you this way.
"Oh okay, um...right this way." Claire showed you to a train on the monorail that lead you to the hotel.
You smiled as the train approached the gates with 'jurassic world' printed on them. A small burst of butterflies in your gut reminded you of the excitement you felt ten years ago when you first arrived there.
Claire followed you all the way up to your room before stopping outside your door.
"Here is your VIP wristband, and here's my number please call me if you have any worries or concerns or need anything at all." She handed you a small package. You willingly took it, pulling out the small blue wristband.
"Thank you, now if you'll excuse me I have to unpack. It was a pleasure meeting you, Claire." You closed the door on her before she could say anything else.
Stumbling over to the mirror, you managed to fix your hair into a loose bun. Today was not a good day for you.
You pulled out your phone and charger before collapsing on the arm chair by the balcony, wiping your neck with a small hand towel. Fortunately, the air conditioning starts to circulate pretty quickly. You really didn’t do well with scorching heat so coming in the summer wasn't the best decision you made.
However, when you traveled the world you loved going to places like Australia and India etc. etc. but that was when you traveled, and you had been living in upstate New York for the last three years.
Nevertheless, you had a perfect view of the main resort which included the underwater observatory for the Mosasaurus. Something you’d been excited to see since it's release to the public a few years back.
"Yay me." You whispered to yourself as you looked out over the resort.
You tugged out your notebook and pen from your satchel to start jotting down some thoughts.
The park has pretty much the same popularity as when it first opened, the excited buzz was still in the air and everything seemed perfectly suitable so far.
You have a week to write your article then mail it to New York so you could always focus on the important details later on.
You: everything's good, the park looks fun. Will talk to u later x
You messaged your over-worried mother and snatched up your satchel then left the hotel.
You spotted a nearby diner where you picked up a few things for lunch then wandered towards the Mosasaurus pool.
"Beauty ain’t she?" Suddenly, a southern accent attracted your attention. You turned to see a large bald man smiling down at you. You tried to be polite and not ignore him.
"Quite." You moved away, heading towards the monorail.
"What are you doing here then missy?" He continued to follow you, you kept yourself from rolling your eyes.
"Business. But if you don't mind I'm working, and if I see correctly your wife and kids are over there. Your wife looks rather red in the face." You gestured to the woman over by the Mosasaurus pool that was staring daggers at her husband. The redneck backed off, mumbling a swift goodbye before you sat yourself inside the tightly compacted train.
You followed the track around the park, it flew past many different attractions and rides, some new and some old. You made sure to note down the ones to visit but first you had to check out the raptors.
When you first came to the parks, the raptors were young like you, they had only just started to begin training them of course and they were different raptors. They failed and ended up having to be put down so a couple years ago they recruited a new trainer from the navy and he apparently is the best trainer they've had here. You wanted to make sure for yourself if the rumours were true. It was quite remarkable how the park started with only eight species and now has 14 herbivores and six carnivores.
You hopped off the monorail and dialled Claire's number on your mobile.
"Hello? Miss (y/l/n)?" Claire answered.
"Please call me (y//n)." You corrected her. You hated being called Miss (y/l/n), it made you sound too much like your mother and well, you weren’t like her. At all.
"I'm sorry, (y/n), how may... I help...you?" Claire's phone seemed to crackle, you grimaced slightly, placing your sunglasses on.
"Um, do you mind sending a jeep down to take me to the raptors pen?" You asked, you weren’t even sure if you would be allowed to see them but you figured you’d ask.
Claire seemed to move away from the phone for a moment muttering something to whomever she was with.
"Uh, sure, where are you exactly?" Claire asked.
"I'm by the old T-Rex pen from the original park, by the Cretaceous cruise." you informed her, Claire muttered a few more things away from the phone.
"Okay, a ranger should be with you shortly. Is that all?" Claire asked one last time.
"That's great, thanks." You quickly hung up and it wasn’t long until a jeep pulled up beside you and a man leant out the window.
"You (y//n) (y/l/n)?" He asked, his french accent thick as he did.
You nodded your head with your hand over your eyes and he gestured for you to climb inside the vehicle.
"My name is Barry, I work with the raptors, my sister, she loves you." He held out his hand. You shook it, warmly smiling at him.
"Thank you. So, do you train the raptors?" You asked as he started to drive off, Barry smiled and shook his head.
"No, that's Owen Grady. I'm more of an assistant, the raptors don't mind me but I'm not the Alpha." Barry explained, the name Owen Grady stuck in your mind.
"And Owen Grady is? The alpha I mean?" You leant backwards, rolling down your window so the cool air could whip past your face.
"Yes, when the raptors hatched they imprinted on Owen making him the Alpha. He's been training them to listen but there's no leadership, if the girls really wanted to they could rip Owen apart but it's all about maintaining a relationship with these animals." Barry occasionally looked at you as he spoke. You looked ahead and in the distance could spot the large velociraptor pen.
"I see the enclosure has improved?" You half questioned, you can't really remember much of the small details from ten years ago but you remembered vaguely of what it looked like.
"Yes, they had to strengthen it after the first batch didn't work out but this set hasn't really caused us much trouble with trying to escape, thank god." Barry pulled up and kindly opened the door for you.
You pulled your satchel up onto your shoulder again and removed your sunglasses.
"How many?" You asked as you walked up a set of stairs leading to a series of balconies over the pen.
"Four, four girls." Barry explained. You looked down around you, the cage looked empty apart from the occasional rustling in the vegetation. You could feel your heart start to speed up as you feel the child-like excitement build inside of you.
"Where are they?" You lowered your voice leaning forward slightly and narrowing your eyes, trying to search for them, biting down on your lower lip.
Come on girls. You thought.
Suddenly you heard repeated clicking from a button and a voice boom. "Echo, Delta, Charlie, Blue!"

Jurassic Emblem-Chapter 8
Guess who came home?? :3
Commander Anna, the general of Askr’s military commandment, had summoned the raptors and some of the other Heroes in the meeting room. She was discussing some very serious issues happening around Askr, most notably, the changes to the entire ecosystem done by what the scouts can only describe as “aberrant forms”. Anna was collecting herself, and she listed so far the aberrant forms identified:
Basilice.
Sobek and Gorgonorhea.
Henoka.
Styracostegas.
Emmatross.
One of the effects that Anna had said was already happening was the fact somewhere up in Nifl, the sun-god Helios was frozen solid by a “giant icicle-covered serpent.” Blue snarled. Unlike the medieval warriors she was with, Blue and her sisters knew that these aberrant forms were heinous-hybrids created by the controversial Henry Wu, and she needed to destroy them quickly. Her life was already fried by those red-eyed mangled-tooth fatherf**kers and she didn’t want anyone else to suffer the same fate.
And coincidentally, outside the meeting room, Askr’s summoner and tactician Kiran shrieked out a macaw-style gasp. Lucina and the raptors rushed out.
And there, above the groveling, thirsty, pathetic form of Kiran, was a goddess in a pelagic-blue yukata, waving her shark-like crocodilian tail in patience like some Hoshidan deity. Blue didn’t had to blink her eyes to find out who that woman was.
It was the Island Goddess Ryukami, the mosasaurus who not only protected Nublar(before she swam out into the open sea), she was also the heroine that leapt out of her lagoon, pulled the Indominus rex into the water, and devoured her like a roast chicken.
.“Hunh. I was quite busy tearing apart a Chinese shark-finning vessel and I was just about to swallow the last fisherman when you pulled me to this strange dimension,” Ryukami said. “Tell me, human. What reason do you have for interrupting my meal?”
Kiran formed his words meekly. “P-please....Please...H-help me l-land....Vel-velouria and....and....Leanne....”.
Ryukami ignored him. She fixed her gaze on Blue, Lucina, Echo, Delta, and Charlie.
“Hmm. Oh. Hello, little lizards.” the crocodilian whale greeted. “I didn’t expect to see you girls. Especially to you, blue one-” she paused. “Wait, wasn’t there only one raptor left on Nublar? Particularly a charcoal one with a blue stripe?
Blue smiled.”It’s okay Ryu. I think I can explain things along-”
“Oh wow! It’s Ryukami from the Mosasaurus Feeding Show! Look at those sharp teeth of yours! Can i have your autograph?”
For the first time in 80 million years, a velociraptor has tackled a mosasaur. Specifically, Charlie had sprung unto Ryukami, face pressed against the goddess’s chest, and shaking her hands.
“Well, dear child, do you have anything I can sign my name on?”
Charlie brought out her Nintendo Switch. “Sure! You can sign on the back!”
*********
When the meeting had ended and the raptors explain the situation to Ryukami, the mosasaur agreed to ferry them to the icy isle of Nifl. But they were some hurdles to overcome.
First was Teba and Warbler. After the incident in which the two criminals attempted to run-off with the frozen embryos, they were thrown in the cellar awaiting judgement. Lucina and Blue had some very powerful urges to mangle the already injured mercenaries, but Anna wouldn’t allow it presently and declared that Teba and Warbler shall not be executed until they scrutinize the morals of the formers’ agenda. Besides, no one exactly knew how to deal with dilophosaur that spat venom out of its beak and an amphibian with katana-sharp dorsal spines. And as such, as much they’d like to accompany Blue and Lucina on their mission, Echo, Delta, and Charlie decided to stay watch and monitor the samurai and the drunk dilo.
“If they pull something I’m going to tear them apart bit by bloody, bony bit!” Echo cracked her claws in anticipation.
“When Askr finds out what these belligerent iguanas are really up to, then yes.” Delta replied.
“Um, I understand I am in no position to ask, but may I have some water?” Teba requested from within the cell. Warbler lay at the back corner, dozing off.
“You just answered your own question Pouter-Flounder,” Charlie answered back. “it’s called drinking pee.”
And second, as much of a kind reptile Ryukami was, a deity didn’t grant a wish for free. If you wanted a god to grant your wishes you had to offer up a payment.
And by payment, I mean a person or several to sacrifice to the mosasaur.
Initially, Lucina tried to process everything down. Sacrificing people to the dragon-gods can’t be good, she thought, until she considered that in order to obtain the “Good Ending” in Awakening, the Shepherds chopped up and raped, and devoured every last denizen in Plegia. After all, humans, both good and bad, loved to end chaos by BRINGING FORTH chaos. A negative factor multiplied by a negative factor always lead to a positive. Therefore, Lucina decided to sacrifice Henry and Tharja, as well as male Robin to Ryukami.
“Aaaaaaaah, this is the happiest day of my life!” Henry chirped as the mosasaurus crunched downed on his ribs and slurped up his intestines like sausage pasta.
As an added bonus, Ryukami had blessed both Lucina and Blue with water-magic, which not only increased their vitality and endurance, it also allowed them to convert the surrounding water into atmospheric air in case shit happens and the two raptors find themselves 30 meters below the surface.
“The trip to Nifl will take about a two or three days by me so you ought to be thankful for my gifts,” Ryukami said. “Now, is everyone ready?”
********
The night sky was a deep-blue color, a gorgeous complement to the turquoise waters. The air was cool and kind to the skin, which would have been perfect for relaxation.
But there was no time for relaxation. For the past several days(or lacking thereof) there was no sunlight. As Helios the sun-god was turned into a kakigori, an icy cold night was spreading from Nifl to Askr, placing photosynthetic activity in jeopardy.
Blue and Lucina were perched on Ryukami’s head and hand, respectively. When asked why she couldn’t have simply used her Dragonstone to morph into her crocodilian-whale form, Ryukami claimed she had left it at the bottom of Dragon’s Reef.
Even gods have accidents, I suppose, Blue thought.
Lucina broke the silence. “Hey Sole Survivor, have you killed your own parent?”
Blue perked her head.”......Why do you ask?”
“I know I had to kill my previous mother in order to save my father and country. What about you?”
“That’s a very morbid question Future Witness. Were you part of the tiger-raptor tribe on Site B? Did you cannibalize your own sibling as well? To answer your question though, I did not. But that’s not to say I didn’t put Papa and his friends’ lives in danger multiple times.”
“I nearly killed my father as well-in fact, the world where I’m from, I had to detonate my re-animated father like the walking flesh-grenade he was.”
“You know, if I died, my ghost would be more than happy to tell my daughters to eat my body,” Ryukami joined in. “There will be times when children will literally want a part of their parents-at least physically.”
“Well, my ex-mother’s flesh tasted rather like lobster and centipede mixed with sperm-covered pants,” Lucina said.
“Okay Future Witness, can we talk about something else? We already had a chapter dedicated to your hobbies.” Blue remarked.
“Alright,” Lucina answered. “I’ve always wanted to ask you this anyway. What is your papa like? I’ll take note if there is a slight, slight, slight chance I’ll meet him.”
“A nice guy. A bit of a jerk who only goes by his own rules, drinks beer, and lives in the most beautiful shack on the outskirts of the jungle. But as someone who’s raised me and my sisters ever since we were hatchlings,he is the best person in my entire world, so much so I’ll slice up security guards for him.”
“I see.”
Just then Ryukami had stopped at a large ice-floe. “We’re here.” Ryukami announced.

The evil Sledge returns from his death bringing with him several villains from the past. The energems are no longer, so new young people with energy and new powers must stop him. They are:
Dante Lee Scott-Hart/Red Jurassic Squad Ranger: He is the leader of the group and the eldest son of the first Red and Pink Power Rangers. He is optimistic, charismatic and a lover of dinosaurs. He occupies a position in Jurassic World as a keeper of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, especially a red T-Rex that he calls Ty and his best friend. His elemental power is fire. His dinosaur is the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Antaeus “Ant” Nekton/Blue Jurassic Squad Ranger: Younger son of the famous family of underwater explorers, the Nektons. At his 15 years old is a born explorer and great connoisseur of marine fauna and flora. He’s trainer of a blue Mosasaurus, which, is called Mozart because it is a dull dinosaur. Still Ant loves him very much and takes good care of him. His elemental power is water. His dinosaur is the Mosasaurus.
Claire Allen/Yellow Jurassic Squad Ranger: Assistant to park owner Tyler Navarro and his wife Shelby Watkins, besides being Dante’s girlfriend. She has an important job as the clarifier of new species that are discovered. She takes importance to all the dinosaurs in the park especially a female Triceratops called Skya which is very important for Claire. Her elemental power is the Lightning. Her dinosaur is the Triceratops.
Owen Allen/Green Jurassic Squad Ranger: He is the younger brother of Claire and the gardener of the Raptors section. Owen is an experimental gardener at 17 years of age, takes good care of plants and in his spare time spends time in charity with his favorite Velociraptor called Runner, with whom he makes races and he always beats Owen. His elemental power is the Forest. His dinosaur is the Velociraptor.
Cory Scott-Hart/Pink Jurassic Squad Ranger: Dante’s younger sister. She was captain of the university’s female kickboxer until she was expelled for hitting hard on another girl from a wealthy family, who always called Cory “unfeminine.” Her parents, unable to enroll her in another school, decide to get her a job in Jurassic World as a caregiver of a peculiar pink female Stegosaurus. Which Cory calls Ace, and thanks to Ace Cory loves her new job. When he meets her, Owen falls deeply in love with her. Her elemental power is Earth. Her dinosaur is the Stegosaurus.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) dir. J. A. Bayona. 7/10 Updated 1 year later. (8.25.20.) 7.4/10
The actual extinction of dinosaurs must’ve been so tragic.
How can we support grandpa when he was a sick fuck in AHS?
Maisie a smart fucking girl.
How did they make the dinosaur so quickly?
Why does Mills give me a Ryan Reynolds vibe?
Updated Commentary:
This team gives me Kong: Skull Island vibes.
Ken Wheatley wanting prizes is like serial killer status. Similar to when humans interfered in creating Indominus Rex and it killed for sport. Humans are what’s wrong.
Blue is so smart. Wife her up.
I like seeing the scale difference with the Indoraptor and Blue.
These dinosaurs are seriously so strong.
Omg the Indoraptor death looks like the Pietà.
Miles is more of a Richard Dreyfuss from Jaws look rather than Ryan Reynolds now.
My order from favorite to least favorite of the Jurassic Park/World series: 2, (1,4), and (5,3).
Spoiler: [About Isla Nublar being raided by a team to gather the DNA of the dead Indominus Rex at the bottom of the waters. They manage to retrieve a bone. As they leave, one man falls behind and is almost killed by a T-Rex. He manages to latch onto the ladder of the fleeing helicopter, but the escaped Mosasaurus eats him. Three years after Jurassic World’s fall, the volcano on Isla Nublar becomes active again. Ian Malcolm talks at the US Senate hearing to explain that the dinosaurs should be killed off through this impending natural disaster. Claire Dearing now works for her Dinosaur Protection Group advocating and working towards saving the dinosaurs. Her friend Zia Rodriguez, a paleo vet, transfers her call with Congresswoman Delgado to Claire to have a more fruitful conversation. At this time, the news reveals that the Senate ruled on not helping the dinosaurs. Claire gets a call from Sir Benjamin Lockwood to come to his estate in Norcal. He used to be Hammond’s partner. She goes and meets Lockwood’s aide, Eli Mills. He and Lockwood explain their plan to personally evacuate the dinosaurs and get them to sanctuary. Claire agrees to help with her knowledge of the tracking system. She notices Lockwood’s grandchild in the home. Mills explains that 11 dinosaurs can be saved successfully, but they need the most help getting to Blue. They want Owen Grady to come help. Claire goes to Owen as he’s building a cabin and they talk it over at a bar. They both believe they broke up with the other and talk about that too. Iris, the caretaker, finds Maisie as she hides around the mansion. They talk with Lockwood and Maisie wonders about her deceased mother, who Lockwood says would’ve wanted to save all the dinosaurs. Owen watches videos of himself with the raptors that night and departs on a plane with Claire, Zia, and a fearful Franklin Webb, the systems analyst. They get to the island and meet Ken Wheatley, who says he’s the expedition facilitator. Zia sees a Brachiosaurus for the first time. Franklin gets them into the system and uses Claire’s hand to access the tracking system. Owen gets to Blue and talks to her as she rediscovers who Owen is. As he’s about to touch her, Ken’s men tranquilizes her. They surround her and when one man aims his gun at her, she attacks him. The guy shoots her and she goes unconscious. When Owen gets upset at Ken, Ken tranquilizes him. Zia aims a gun at Ken and is allowed to stay with them since she’s needed to tend to the raptor’s wound. Ken’s men cut the cords to the building that Franklin and Claire are in, so they can’t get out. Mills gets upset at Maisie for interrupting him as he is on a call with Ken about him being late by a day. Ken and his men head to go depart with the dinosaurs. Owen starts to gain consciousness as a Sinoceratops licks him. Lava starts approaching him and he tries to make his limbs move to escape it. Franklin and Claire figure out how to exit the building as lava starts dripping from the ceiling. They are also trapped between the lava and a baryonyx. They manage to barely escape through an exit in the ceiling. Dinosaurs start stampeding towards the outer rim of the island. Franklin and Claire see Owen and they escape in a gyrosphere as Owen doesn’t make it in due to a T-Rex nearby. They all fall off a cliff and water fills the gyrosphere as Franklin and Claire can’t get out. Owen shoots the sphere, but gets hit by a lava drop and loses his gun. He manages to come back and open the door, allowing them to get to the surface. They watch from afar as Ken’s men start boarding the ship. Ken extracts a tooth from a Stegosaurus for his collection. Owen tends to Franklin as they run towards a truck that Claire is driving to hurry to the boat. They sneak their way around as they watch the remaining dinosaurs on the island be consumed by the lava. An auctioneer named Eversoll isn’t impressed by Mills since he doesn’t see the dinosaurs and makes a lot of money anyway. He goes to leave, but Mills convinces him that money will be made. He takes him to his underground lab and reveals
the Indominus Rex bone being used to create the Indoraptor. Maisie overhears their conversation prior to entering the lab and goes to tell Lockwood about it. Lockwood makes her leave as he says he’ll figure it out tomorrow. Franklin, Claire, and Owen find Zia tending to Blue. She needs the proper instruments to save her. The bullet needs to be taken out with the right blood tranfusion provided. Owen and Claire enter the truck cage of a sedated T-Rex. They manage to take its blood, but some workers end up locking the truck doors. The T-Rex wakes up, but the two manage to escape through the ceiling bars. Maisie sneaks her way into the lab and watches a video of Owen talking about the intelligence and empathy in Blue. Zia gets the bullet out of Blue. Maisie hides as Henry and Mills argue. Henry says that the prototype for the Indoraptor has many things missing and they need Blue’s blood. Maisie ends up hiding near a dinosaur and screams when she notices it. Mills finds her and locks her in her bedroom. Claire, Owen, and Franklin go to hide as the others go to move forward. Franklin gets separated as they believe he’s deck crew. Owen and Claire drive the truck and follow the other trucks into Lockwood’s estate. One worker notices them. Lockwood confronts Mills on what he’s doing and Mills kills him with a pillow. Ken surrounds Claire and Owen with his men and locks them up in a cell. Mills talks to them and mentions that what he does is the same thing as what they’ve done at Jurassic World. Maisie manages to get herself out of her room by walking along the mansion’s outer wall ledges. At this time, many powerful people come to the dinosaur auction happening. Maisie goes to Lockwood and finds him dead. She takes the scrapbook on him as Mills comes looking for her. She hides in the dumbwaiter as she overhears Iris being fired even though she says she was there to raise both Maisie and her mother. Maisie looks in the scrapbook to see a photo of her mother, who happens to look exactly like her. Owen sees the neighboring cell containing a Stygimoloch waking up. He gets it to butt its head through the wall into their cell. He then has it headbutt to open up their cell door. The dinosaurs are shown at the auction individually and quickly gets sold for millions. Owen and Claire find Maisie and console her and talk about Blue. They look through a vent and see the reveal of the Indoraptor. A laser is used to guide the Indoraptor while an acoustic signal is used to make it attack whatever the laser is pointing at. It’s a prototype that isn’t being sold, but everyone keeps increasing the price they are willing to pay for it. Henry is against it being sold, but it does get sold. Owen gets the Stygimoloch up on an elevator into the auction room, where chaos ensues. Owen fights with men trying to kill the dinosaur. Everyone runs away until Ken comes in and sees only the trapped Indoraptor. He tranquilizes it with multiple darts and enters the cage to take a tooth. As he struggles to get the tooth out, the Indoraptor kills him after having pretended to be unconscious. It gets out of the cage as Mills and his men surround Claire, Owen, and Maisie. They argue for him to stop, but Mills argues that he can’t go back in time and stop what Hammond did by creating the dinosaurs. He tries to get Maisie back, but they are protective of her. He reveals that Lockwood’s dead daughter was recreated through cloning and that’s what Maisie is. At this time, a dinosaur kills Mill’s men and he runs away. Henry gets Franklin to get him materials as he goes to get Blue’s blood. Zia reveals that the blood is contaminated since she did a transfusion. Franklin injects Henry to make him unconscious and he unhandcuffs Zia. They are confronted by men and the two open Blue’s cage. Blue attacks the men as the two escape. A hydrogen cyanide tank ends up leaking during the attack. A fire begins as the gas keeps spreading. Blue runs away. Claire, Owen, and Maisie are being pursued by the Indoraptor around the mansion. Franklin and Zia try to help the trapped dinosaurs
since the gas will kill them. He tries rebooting the system since the ventilation system is down. Maisie, Owen, and Claire hide in a museum display and the Indoraptor finds and attacks them. Its claw pierces Claire’s leg while Maisie runs away to her room. The Indoraptor finds her as Owen goes to save her after Claire kisses him. Owen shoots the Indoraptor with no success. Blue comes and fights it. Owen and Maisie escape through the outside ledges. The Indoraptor chases them again as they stand on top of a glass ceiling. As Maisie and Owen struggle to hold on as they slip down the glass, Claire distracts the Indoraptor and uses the laser gun to make it go forward on the glass. It falls through the glass, but gets itself back up. Blue attacks it and they fall through again. The Indoraptor is pierced by the fossil display of a ceratopsian and killed while Blue lands on top safely. Zia and Franklin regroup with them and brings up the problem of the dying dinosaurs. They have the choice to open the gates to the outside world to save them. Claire needs to save them, but she chooses against it after understanding that she can’t take this action back. Maisie ends up pressing the button and the dinosaurs are released. She says they’re alive like her. Mills goes to his car with the Indominus Rex bone. He crawls underneath his car with it when he notices the dinosaurs stampeding out. When they all pass, he comes out. The T-Rex notices and eats him. It also steps on and destroys the bone. Owen comes out and talks to Blue. He mentions bringing her with him and pets her. She runs towards the world. The dinosaurs are now out in the world as Ian Malcolm talks to the US Senate about a new world being created.]

30 Minutes on: "The Meg"
Who could have guessed that the scene in "Jaws" where Sheriff Brody says they're going to need a bigger boat would spawn 40 years' worth of thrillers? Ever since Steven Spielberg's nautical adventure became one of the top-grossing movies of all time, movie studios have tried to bite off a piece of its success by serving up their own nature-in-revolt films—as well as films about inhuman and even mechanical stalkers that, to quote that same film's ichthyologist Hooper, exist only to kill, consume and make more of their ilk.
It started in the 1970s with movies like "Grizzly," "Piranha," "Tentacles" and "Prophecy" (where the monster was a giant bear mutated by pollution). The homage/theft continued, in disguised fashion and on a parallel track, in the stalker movies of the late '70s and early '80s (particularly "Halloween," the original "Terminator," and the original "Alien," which was sold to its studio as "Star Wars" meets "Jaws' in a haunted house), and more officially via through "Anaconda" and "Lake Placid" and finally this year's "The Meg," about an enormous prehistoric shark that escapes from the bottom of the ocean and wreaks havoc on the surface. Directed by Jon Turteltaub ("National Treasure") and starring bullet-headed action hero Jason Statham, "The Meg" is a modestly bloody, sometimes sentimental, mostly lighthearted fusion of "Jaws" and another Spielberg classic, "Jurassic Park." The latter was recently rebooted as "Jurassic World"; a key scene in that one showed visitors to a Sea World-type arena cheering as a Jaws-like great white was dangled in midair as bait for a sharklike aquatic dinosaur known as a Mosasaurus.
Tracing the chain of associations, remakes, inspirations and ripoffs that brought us to this point would've been an irrelevant film nerd's exercise if "The Meg" didn't all but compel it, by serving up its own version of nearly every memorable moment from the original "Jaws" plus several of its sequels. The list includes the mass terror in the harbor filled with bathers, scenes where the heroes tag the shark with a tracking device and try to kill it with explosives and harpoons, some helicopter action plus a version of the teens-on-a-raft section of the second "Jaws," a moderately scary sequence in an underwater laboratory reminiscent of moments in "Jaws 3-D," and a man-on-fish showdown reminiscent of Quint's final struggle with the shark in the original "Jaws" (but with a happy ending). The movie is so shamelessly indebted to "Jaws" that during a climatic moment, Harry Gregson-Williams' score even subtly alludes to John Williams' iconic four-note "Here comes the teeth" main theme. Turteltaub and the movie's four credited screenwriters also work in references to "Moby-Dick" and the Biblical story of Jonah and the whale (Staham's character is even named Jonas). The story even resolves itself with a slight nod to one of Jonah's threats against the Leviathan, to leash the creature by its tongue and let the other fish eat it.
Statham, who like his contemporary Dwane Johnson is always happy to go right up to the edge of self-parody and even cross over, plays Jonas as an obsessive but disgraced figure. Jonas is a search-and-rescue badass written off as a coward for abandoning a nuclear sub on the bottom of the ocean after he became convinced that the Megaladon was what destroyed it and was certain to kill everyone who was still alive if he didn't get the survivors out of there pronto. Like Ripley in the second "Alien," he's the only one alive who can verify the existence of the monster.
So of course when we first meet him he's a hard-drinking exile, basically Quint but with great abs and more people skills. The billionaire who funded the research station (Rainn Wilson) and two of Jonas' trusted colleagues, Cliff Curtis' Mac and Winston Chao's Zhang, beg Jonas to come and rescue a submersible containing Jonas' ex-wife Lori (Jessica McNamee) that's gotten trapped on the same stretch of the ocean floor where the hero first encountered the Meg. And then the Meg escapes from the ocean floor and ships start going down and people start getting torn apart in the water, and hey, look, it's the movie you paid to see.
There's a parallel story that posits Zhang's daughter, Suyin (Bingbing Li), an oceanographer and single mom to an adorable young daughter Meying (Sophia Cai),as the main character in the film, and whenever the hardbitten Jonas is in the presence of either of them, he warms up and smiles and even tells jokes. The film genuflects in the direction of giving both of these adults a happy ending by rewarding their heroism with an intact nuclear family that will give Meiying a father, Suyin an intellectual partner and best friend to replace her dad, and Jonas a reason to trust humanity again. But the movie doesn't hammer too hard on any of that stuff, a rare instance where it gets things just about right rather than doing too much or too little, which is usually the case.
The movie's never dull, frequently funny and occasionally inspired, particularly in the climactic shark assault on a marina filled with bathers. But it feels not-quite-there somehow. Despite the shark-on-human and human-on-shark violence, and a fair amount of (mostly fish-related) blood and gore, it doesn't have much impact either as a high seas thriller or a science fiction fantasy. And there are plentiful signs that it was undermined in the editing. A lot of the cutting, not just from scene to scene but within scenes, is choppy and awkward, failing to show you what you want or need to see at the moment when ought to. And Statham's granite-faced determination in the action sequences promises a much rougher adventure than is actually delivered. (Statham has indicated that Turteltaub shot the film as a ridiculously nasty "R" thriller but it was cut to earn a PG-13 rating.)
The most impressive thing about "The Meg" is that it manages to have any personality at all, given its obsessive self-awareness of being a "Jaws" ripoff and its equally blatant status as a deal memo that somehow managed to get filmed. It's obviously a project that wouldn't exist without the Chinese filmgoing market—it's set in the Pacific Rim, stars many Asian actors and never once mentions the United States as a factor in any of the main action. It might intrigue aficionados of Asian action cinema, for the way it tries to be both a classic, "Jaws"-styled American thriller and a Pacific monster film at the same time. The almost religious sentimentalization of motherhood here feels more Chinese than American, as does the particular way that the leather-souled Jonas instinctively knows how to talk to the little girl. The marina sequence boasts candy-colored production design and numerous, borderline-slapstick gags, including an extended bit involving a wedding party and an impeccably groomed poodle, and numerous shots of oblivious bathers traversing the ocean's surface in transparent rolling plastic bubbles; it's like something that South Korea's Bong Joon-Ho ("The Host," "Okja"), a great pop filmmaker with a social satirist's tendencies, might stage, though he surely would've done a lot more with it than "The Meg" ultimately delivers. And when the prehistoric shark is fixating on tiny humans, as if the terms of Captain Ahab and Moby-Dick's relationship had been reversed, the film moves into the realm of a Toho monster movie from the '60s or '70s, in which the humans did battle with gigantic rubbery creatures who amounted to manifestations of their own neuroses and ambitions.
The movie needed to be at least 30% crazier than it is. It often feels as if it's holding something in, like it doesn't quite feel free enough to be what it truly wants to be, whatever that is.

FILM 1799: JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM
TRIVIA:Sam Neill was asked if he would return to the series as Dr. Alan Grant and responded, "You never say never, but I think it's moved on. It's different times."
During a recent visit to Entertainment Weekly Radio with costar Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt revealed that it was none other than the Spider-Man: Homecoming star who spoiled the entire plot of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom for him. The young actor spilled the beans while he and Pratt were working on the same lot shooting their respective Marvel projects. As for how he became privy to the top-secret details of the blockbuster franchise, Pratt shared that, "Tom, of course, knows [Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director] J.A. Bayona because of the film The Impossible -- Tom was the young guy in that movie." Soon after Bayona gave Holland a detailed account of the story line, he shared every detail with Pratt. "He told me the whole story, so I heard it right from Tom Holland first. And then when I read the script, I was like, Yeah, he wasn't messing with me, this is all real."
It's unclear how the Mosasaurus is still alive despite being trapped in an empty lagoon for years with nobody to feed it. Even the submersible operators lampshade how anything in the lagoon should have died a long time ago, but Colin Trevorrow explains the beginning of the film is set between a week or month after the first and argues that it could've ate the Indominus Rex slowly or picked off any pteranodon(s) that flew to close to the lagoon.
During a newscast, one of the chyrons on the bottom says "'President questions existence of dinosaurs in the first place'."
When Maisie Lockwood is attempting to hide from the Indoraptor she climbs into a dumb waiter (a lift found in many stately homes and mansions for transporting food and other items from the servant quarters) and tries to pull the door closed in a clear reference to Lex attempting to hide from the Raptors in the kitchen.
Colin Trevorrow pushed Michael Giacchino for an emotional score that would serve as the film's backbone, referring to it as "going to Dino Church." Giacchino found the evolving tone of Bayona's film to be an exciting challenge. "The film starts out like what you expect a Jurassic film to be, but it quickly evolves into a scary, tense, Gothic pool of craziness," said Giacchino. "I was heavily influenced by Bernard Herrmann growing up, and at the end of the film with the Gothic choir you feel like you're in an old horror film."
J.A. Bayona reveals that he had a trick up his sleeve on set to get the most out of his actors for that scene. In a new interview, he talked about the emotional scene from Jurassic World 2 and revealed why it has an even deeper meaning for fans of the Jurassic Park franchise. The Brachiosaurus is the very first dinosaur that was shown in the first Jurassic Park and then the last to be seen on the Isla of Nublar, which was no accident. Bayona reveals that the idea for the scene was planted 25 years ago. He explains. "That scene represents the ending of a dream that started 25 years ago. You are telling the ending of that island and the ending of that dream." While the Brachiosaurus scene was tough on moviegoers watching Jurassic World 2 in theaters, it was a challenge for J.A. Bayona to come up with a way to get the actors prepared for just how emotional the scene was. In order to get the right feel, the director pulled out a very familiar piece of music to play for the cast as they looked at a dot on a green screen. According to Bayona, the music had just the emotional impact that he desired from Chris Pratt and especially Bryce Dallas Howard. The director had this to say. "I played a very sweet and a little sad version of the Jurassic Park melody. So that was very effective for the actors, especially for Bryce. Being there, telling that story, listening to music from John Williams, they were all very emotional."
Rafe Spall was cast after being in The BFG (2016) which was directed by the executive producer of this film Steven Spielberg.
For Super Bowl LII (2018), Colin Trevorrow directed a Jeep commercial starring Jeff Goldblum and featuring a T. rex. Within 24 hours of its release, the commercial received 39.7 million online views, which was more than any film trailer that was watched online following its Super Bowl LII television debut.
A trio of Pteranodon flew off in the sunset mirrors exactly when Alan took glance on a trio of pelicans after escaping the island at the end of Jurassic Park (1993).
The Indoraptor has several themes relating to wolves: Being semi-quadrupedal, there is a somewhat lupine appearance to its posture and mannerisms. There is a discussion with Dr. Wu where he compares the domestication of dinosaurs with that of dogs. The Indoraptor, being feral and untamable, is the "wolf" of this scenario, which they are planning to breed out their aggression and lack of empathy to make them "dogs". The Indoraptor menaces a little girl, which recalls the Big Bad Wolf of fairy tales, Maisie wearing a red jacket. And of course the scene where it roars/howls at the full moon from the rooftop of Lockwood Manor, and a callback to Jurassic World (2015) when Hoskins told a story of keeping a wolf cub which eventually mauled his wife? Lockwood's vision comes to fruition in this movie, and again, the "wolf" cannot be tamed.
Tom Holland was terrified of the movie, J.A. Bayona explained, "I invited his whole family to a screening, I was sitting with him and it was so much fun to see how he was reacting to the movie, in the emotional moments he was just like, 'No!' and then jumping- he had alot of fun, but the one shot that really got him was the Indoraptor clawing Maisies ponytail through the cage, that is the shot that Tom like shit on his pants!"
J.A. Bayona wanted the Indoraptor to be black, with oily snakeskin, so that it felt like a deadly shadow. Early on in production, he showed the special effects crew a picture of a shell-shocked soldier during World War I, the haunting image of a man with the craziest eyes you'd ever seen he wanted those eyes on the Indo.
The beach that Owen and Claire and Franklin wash up on after the gyrosphere sequence was the same one from From Here to Eternity (1953) J.A. Bayona stated "I said, 'OK we need to do the same shot, the famous kiss shot of Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr, so we did the same with Owen and Claire, without kissing each other."
