After nearly 12 years* of playing Guild Wars 2, I've finally done it!

Behold, my first Legendary weapon, [Xiuquatl]

*Okay, so 12 years, but with like a six year gap between HoT and EoD lol

I'm so glad to be done with this journey! I've been slowly tacking away at this for the better part of a year now, and its so nice to see that little flying serpent accompanying my commander 24/7 now.

I'm sure there were easier legendaries to go for, but TBH none of them really stood out to me as something worth sinking so much time and gold into. After I started getting more into the game again, I was browsing the Wiki and saw this little guy - so I knew I had to craft him :)

So. Mister vessel the fourth has this. How do i call it. Keychain(?) hanging from his sleeve sometimes. With some tmbte runes. And it's pink, which is totally irrelevant to this post, but i felt the need to mention that. (Edit: people have told me it's actually red, but hey. Thank you, stage lighting, for making it look pink.) I could never find a photo clear enough to read them though. So I've done some serious CSI work to decipher them. AND THEY JUST SAY 'WORSHIP', BECAUSE OF COURSE THEY DO.

Bonus: he has another one with "IV" on the other sleeve. Personally i think it's endearing.

My struggles under the cut

I've tried editing the black and white photo above on my phone, trying to make it more clear and this is what i've got lmao

I've made it hella grainy but hey, at least i could (more or less) see the outline of some of the runes (and make up some new ones in the process lol). Idk why the doodles added later got also saved grainy...

Then I've checked the alphabet for possible choices

And realised it's just 'WORSHIP'. Weeks of asking myself what could that be. And it's. JUST THE EASIEST THING TO GUESS.

Initially i thought there's less letters, but nope. It's 7. It's worship.

explanations under the cut !!

Sandra

1. Oricorio (Pom-Pom Style) - Yellow flowers (daffodils!!!) + a dancer

2. Primarina - Blue + a singer/performer (I love the headcanon that Sandra is a theatre kid) also water which is a theme in her and Edward’s lives

3. Florges - Yellow flowers (daffodils) again (also a ‘pretty woman’ type Pokémon)

4. Mareep - A little lamb!! (I see it as her childhood Pokémon)

5. Gardevoir - Protective, empathetic, beautiful, and matches Edward’s Gallade!

6. Arcanine - Beautiful and represents her red hair (I also totally could imagine her with a childhood Growlithe)

Edward

1. Mr Rime - An amusing lil guy—and a tap dancer!! (Also kind of has a “traveling salesman” look)

2. Goodra - The dragon 🐉 (cuz yknow he fights the dragons…) but also its a goofy lil dragon cuz Edward’s a goofy lil guy

3. Blacephalon - Has a circus aesthetic for all the years he worked there. Totally tells Will he got it on one of his crazy travels (but in reality a friend probably gave it to him or something)

4. Basculegion - THE BIG FISH!! It’s “cloaked in the souls of its comrades who perished during a punishing journey to the river of their birth” - so also has those river/water/death & life themes that Edward’s life has. Also “souls of his comrades” reminds me of when all the people from his stories come back to the river at the end of the show.

5. Galade - Matches Sandra’s Gardevoir! Also swords so like again him “fighting dragons” and also that line about him opening the champagne bottle with a sword

6. Copperajah - Represents the elephants at the circus! Also he needs a big and bombastic Pokémon to travel with

i wonder when anyone is going to tell the league (in Battle Addict au) that straight jackets are actually pretty bad at keeping people actually restrained when they can think clearly hruoiehgboerhg (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivuuJxX1hXg (when praciced, its even easier to get out of than shown here lol)) but this au is incredibly interesting! fascinating looking at how the public reacts to things in the extreme and how the people who they target suffer for it, and how much misinformation is spread. really got me curious how they sped their time and how this effects emmets mental state. it cant be easy with everyone acting like hes a monster. and while ingo doesn't get the majority of the attention- if must be so hard to see his brother suffering like this. and im sure he isn't spared so scorn as well. really really fascinating- and a verrrry clear reminder of what people used to think mental disorders were like and how people with them were treated.

Funny thing: that’s partially why there’s some minor edits to Emmet’s straitjacket. There’s a narrow bar that his arms have to slot through, as well as a set of belts tied to his upper arms to keep them from moving too far from resting position. Homeboy weaseled out of the first one after like two weeks and they said "ok do it again this time mf" and handed him the new one.

The league would probably put Emmet on "leave" (house arrest) if they saw him get out of another one/realize the strait wouldn't work. That is probably what's keeping him from breaking out more than the actual jacket is.

As for mental state,

The household is certainly seeing more absences and mental health days. The worst part about the diagnosis for Emmet is that everything he used to enjoy has lost its worth because any time he sits down to study, he's just proving he is crazy and battle obsessed. He forces himself out of his old habits but he doesn't have anything to fill the void so he's stuck in a perpetual state of being exhausted and disinterested. Ingo may or may not be subconsciously picking up these beliefs as well

Thank you for your ask! Took a while to respond cause of school, but I do hope to outline more about their lives and habits when I get free time. I gotta run though, so see you guys later ^^
