I could totally yap and bring up multiple scenes that show Trish being more bold and confident and Bruno being more reserved and cautious and how that impacts their relationship but that would be a nightmare to keep coherent.

It just sucks that both canon and the fandom won’t even try to give their relationship more nuance. They’ll always be portrayed as “strong 😈man😈 protector and weak 🌸girl🌸 damsel” because gender norms are a bitch.

That’s why I love the few scenes we get of them being mad at/annoyed with each other.

It’s not only just funny, but it also shows how different they really are from each other. The one where Trish gets mad at Bruno for not asking Narancia if he was okay specifically shows how she doesn’t really understand him because she didn’t grow up like he did (in the mafia). They are completely different people, and because of that, they don’t always see eye to eye and don’t understand why the others act the way they do. But ofc it’s portrayed as her just being a 🌸girl🌸 because clearly only 🌸girls🌸 are sensitive enough to think not asking if someone is okay is cold.

Trish grew up rich with a mother that was always there to guide her until the plot happened. Bruno spent his teen years learning how to survive in an organization that he could die in at any moment without any guidance from his parents (He was also born into a fisher family that didn’t have a lot of money). Trish has never had to handle a loved one dying or being severely injured before while Bruno has which should be the reason why they reacted so differently to Narancia getting injured.

It would be ten times more interesting to see how their different upbringings would affect their relationship and how they end up overcoming those differences to be sisters. But, unfortunately, that’s just not gonna happen because gender norms.

People in the actual omegaverse would get as bored of their stuff, as we do of ours, you know? It could be interesting to see that kind of vibe in fics. Biological demands faced with all the excitement of paying bills or doing laundry or tying your shoes.

Even if that kind of energy might not drive a plot, it could be interesting to have as a contrast to the people who do have big feelings about them - good or bad.

There's the friends who can't wait til they have a pack of their own, and the one friend who isn't against it but couldn't care less. There's the group in the office who are all about scent compatibility tests and figuring out one's best match and what sprays most highlight it, and the coworker who has no intentions on putting that much effort in. There are parents who hover and protect their offspring by scenting them multiple times a day, and others who don't see what the fuss is as long as it's done in the morning.

...also: packs with introverts who show care by giving each other space. So often, closeness is depicted through physical touch and tactile affection, but comfortable silence is meaningful too. Knowing people are near, but not having to interact until you're ready. Sitting in the same room doing different things, knowing that all it takes is a "hey, look at this" to share what you're up to. People understanding and accepting each other's differing or fluctuating needs for how and when to recharge. Seeing somebody reaching out or sharing space, beyond what's their norm, as a signal of the fact that they care.

Cuts to Kana's graduation concert, Aqua keeps his promise and respond to Kana's confession.

A montage of the characters living out their best lives. The series ends with the twins visiting Ai's grave and Aqua finally calls Ai mom, symbolizing him stepping into his new life as Hoshino Aqua.

-> Killer. Like u said Anon, I think he IS the most likely candidate! I don't think that it's a meal he'd have eaten often, nor would he openly joke about it, but I think that somewhere like the Temple where he was raised, or on the streets after he left Chara (the Black Market wasn't picky-) would be where it happened.

-> Nim. Oh. Yeah. She would've, I'm sure. (Also tbf I have no idea if I said that or not, my memory is SO bad, I'd probably have to check w/ Ancha lol- but for this let's imagine she's not.) One of the other kingdoms (which I'm establishing is basically full of shape-shifters which eat human flesh) was a prime source of income for Dust because they had a LOT of animal meat they weren't harvesting. In meetings, well, sometimes the meal involved the dishes of that kingdom, so human flesh! (He will NOT admit it didn't taste bad.)

-> Fresh. And no, not for the reason he'd normally know lmao. I think that Fresh's connection with the beasts (which I now realize are kinda stand-ins for his furby collection-) leads some of then to bring him gifts! And he lives usually out in the wilderness so a hunt is a hunt, y'know? Monsters are off-limits but like. If the beast brings him *just* the meat? He takes his chances abd hopes it's not People. (Some of it is, and he knows it, he could definitely identify it if given to him 🙏)

-> Reaper. He's not proud of it anymore, but back in the day when he was the general? Bringer of Death? Yeah, he ate a guy once. Used it as a fear tactic against their enemies, which in his defense DID work. But he wouldn't do it again. He would recognize the taste tho!

Soooo..... 5 of the New Age characters would be able to describe the taste of human flesh! (At least for the main cast lol-)
