So funny that I'm like "oh yeah I'm an int build guy" and I have more faith builds than intelligence builds. Well I feel like pure intelligence is the way to go over the other options and faith pairs well with a lot of different stats.

Gonna infodump about my D&D character
(Sadly forced to keep things confidential because my party members follow me on tumblr…you know who you are 👁️👁️)
I’ve only had Gawain for a short time but OH MY GOODNESS I FUCKING ADORE THIS SILLY GUY!!
Also kinda shocked that the moodboard I made for him got that many notes. That’s a first…
Tumblr media
Also please enjoy the drawing @hootbon made for me. I will never shut up about their art.
Tumblr media
So…for what CAN post publicly…
Gawain is your token Lawful Good Paladin TM. Bonus points for being a protector aasimar I guess. (Though I might multiclass into a bard depending on how things go. It would fit him well. They’re my favorite spell caster.)
His personality is gonna be SO fun to play. Before I explain that, I should mention that he’s actually the youngest of the group at 24. The second youngest is the Kobold (Maran) who’s 37. So he’s a lot more naive and still understanding himself and the world around him. People often dismiss him due to that unfortunately. But, you know, imagine a dumb collage age boy and you get somewhat of an idea.
He’s a very sweet and compassionate guy, extremely extroverted and fun loving…maybe a bit flirty at times. Definitely cracks witty comments and one liners in battles ranging from something clever to “suck my dick” or something dumb like that. That doesn’t mean he can’t be serious, he absolutely knows when he should. Ironically he’s the most “normal” of the group, often being the straight man. Overall heart of gold and just wants to help people.
He has a bit of a rebellious and impulsiveness to him. As clever as he is, he’s mostly driven by his emotions. It’s always a “do what feels right in the moment” rather than logic. In general he’s just very emotional and struggles with hyper empathy. This also causes him to question a lot of the authority around him.
I’d also say he has that Disney Princess syndrome. Gawain is convinced that he has some grand destiny and is meant for more. He’s always wanted to explore and learn more about the world, meet new people and cultures, live a life of glory and adventure. Maybe he’s in over his head or maybe he’s not…we’ll see.
However, another big reason for doing all this is that he wants to understand who he is…more accurately WHAT he is. He was born to humans, raised by humans, and grew up in a mostly all human kingdom. So he grew up thinking he was one despite some strong differences between him and the others. Aasimar are VERY rare, and more like myths to most people, and others don’t even know they exist. So people either assumed he was blessed or cursed, some treated him like the messiah, and others thought he was a freak and dangerous. So yeah, he never felt like he belonged and wants to learn about himself.
Somewhere in his life he ended up becoming a squire and completed his training just before the start of the campaign…
And that’s all the backstory information I can post because my friends will see this.
I guess I can do a bit of trivia:
It’s still D&D lore, but the world itself is homebrew. Humans are actually not the majority race, far from it. Most humans live in a large archipelago with various human nations. I remember the DM said the estimated population of humans was 20,000 to 30,000. The two mainland continents are one dominated by dwarves and the other by elves, along with other races being far more common on the mainland. Not really about my character but I LOVE that detail. It’s somewhat relevant I guess since I said Gawain grew up in a human society.
The god he venerates most is Ilmatar.
His eyes reflect his emotions and power. When using any of his abilities or when under intense emotions (both positive and negative), his eyes will turn a solid gold color.
Prior to his training, he was a courier. His parents ran his town’s postal service and that’s one of the things that got him into the idea of adventuring.
He’s more of a cat person than a dog person. He likes both, but I feel like he’d go for the cat.
The first weapon he ever used was a bow rather than a sword. The specific sword he uses is an arming sword.
He is a wonderful singer, his voice is almost ethereal in when he sings (little aasimar headcanon of mine).
His favorite study is anthropology, but also really likes history and geography. He’s always collecting little souvenirs and trinkets from everywhere he visits.
He keeps a diary and loves to write stories and sketch things. A lot of story inspiration comes from his dreams, which are often very vivid…and he remembers them super well.
Neither of his parents have blonde hair, nor is it a recessive trait they had. It’s actually part of his aasimar traits.
He talks in his sleep because I think it’s funny.
If this wasn’t a medieval fantasy world, he’d definitely use Gen Z slang. Maybe even tell someone “L + Ratio” or “Skill issue” after besting them in battle. In that same hypothetical reality, his favorite band would be Starset and The Score.
He takes good care of his appearance and health, so he does enjoy certain beauty products. A spa day is his ideal day off.
He hates salmon. He thinks it tastes bad and prefers catfish. I don’t know why I even thought of that fact but it’s there.

Do you guys ever think about how many times CLAMP tiptoe around the word "death", in Clear Card? (you: what kind of question is that???)
Because it's an awful lot.
The actual verb 死ぬ (to die), the classical one, is never mentioned* to indicate "death", and I totally see the reasons why: mainly target and "world view" of the series (lord, if there's something I learned during these 8 years of observing the reactions from the JP fans is that the 世界観, the "world view" is EVERYTHING and if the authors dare doing something that goes against it, they won't forgive them. Especially for a series rooted deep in everybody's childhood).
* (Actually, it is used in chapter 43 in a funny skit with Kero, Suppy and Nakuru, where Kero says "I thought I would die!!!" because he's too embarrassed by the SyaoSaku scene he had to forcefully witness hidden in Sakura's bag 😂but it's a foolish scene)
I think the first time where they actually start to dangle it in our faces is in chapter 28, when they make Momo scream in panic: "If you rewind that far, the repercussions will be immesurable!!" and then Kaito confirming right after "Time magic shortens the caster's lifespan". 命を削る indeed means "to shorten one's lifespan", and what else does that mean, if not that he's killing himself little by little, by using time magic? Sure, magicians have a longer lifespan, but...
Another instance where they make us "sniff" the smell of death but they don't serve the actual meal is in chapter 33, when Kaito goes out in the garden to counter the attack coming from the Association. He condescendingly says 力不足と己の身が滅ぶのを恐れて, mocking them for not including time magic in their collective attack because they're afraid their power won't be enough and they'll literally wreck their bodies in the process. Kaito doesn't straight up say "they're afraid to die", but the verb 滅ぶ means "to perish, to be ruined, to be destroyed" and we all saw what effects time magic had on Kaito's body. He's basically calling them p*ssies, yes.
And excuse me, but the most apparent one....when Kaito (or the Clan) says multiple times "Her soul will break", should Akiho write on herself more power than her body can sustain....isn't that just a very generous way to avoid saying "Akiho WILL DIE" to not scare the young readers away? Because, think about it...if her soul breaks...what is left of her? What is left of Akiho, as we know her? Yes, just a shell, a corpse for use and consumption of the Association/Clan, exactly.
And what to say about the scene of chapter 41 when Nadeshiko is trying to mom-talk Kaito into reason and the guy answers "I guess it's because I'm getting closer to become the same kind of entity as you", meaning, a ghost??? Hence, he's basically saying "I'm about to die"? I always snicker when I read that part because I'm like "OH COME ON, CLAMP, MAKE HIM SAY THE WORD" 😂
Another instance where the characters dance around the concept of death is in chapter 51, when Momo gets to have this very mom-son talk with Kaito (yes, exactly, Kaito set into motion several mother figures throughout the story - Lilie, Momo, Nadeshiko herself - that should tell you SOMETHING). Momo is trying to make him understand that he's literally betted his life away when he made the contract with her, so that should give him an idea of how important this mission is to him, and for whom he's doing this for. She says "When you made the contract with me, you revealed your true name. We could say I hold your heart as magician in the palm of my hand". Here Momo is basically already mentioning the concept I've been saying time and time again when Kaito revealed his true name to Akiho in chapter 80: in CLAMP works, revealing your true name to someone is like placing the most vulnerable part of yourself in their hands. The "imagery" Momo suggests here is actually pretty disturbing: the word 心臓 (heart) is the one commonly used to indicate the actual organ, more than "heart as core of the emotions", and so what she's suggesting is that at any moment, without notice, she might close that hand and crush his heart, basically killing him. Of course Momo would never do that, but she wants to remind him of what damned situation he's put himself in, how far he went for the person he still isn't ready to recognize at this point of the story.
I think the closer they went to say the "forbidden word" was when Lilie in chapter 72 explained to Sakura the extent of her premonitory dreams: "I know things that will happen shortly ahead...things way far ahead in the future...and even things that will happen when I'll be gone".
Another instance where they TOTALLY dance around the real situation (that is, Kaito should've been dead-dead-dead by then) is in chapter 80 when Eriol explains to Akiho what Kaito had been doing: I'm not sure if it's Eriol who sugarcoated it in his speech, or Akiho herself while recounting it to Sakura, but she says "He messed with lots (of dangerous magic), so his condition wasn't supposed to be that good", another polite way to say "he should've been dead by now". In fact, what's keeping him alive is literally the fact that the pocket watch (and therefore, his time) is frozen for now.
And sometimes I wonder if the "unhappiness" or "grief" that Yelan foresaw for Sakura, in the eventuality she couldn't gain control of her own powers, included....death too....NAAAAAAAHHHH
(well, I mean, who didn't think of THAT when they made Kaito say that he could see Nadeshiko because he was close to dying?? Well knowing that Sakura could suddenly see her too?? they did that on purpose jfc)

ok what do you think every character in ofmd's highest dnd stat is?
Oooh ok let's get going. Ed and Stede are both very long and the others are rather short.
Ed- ok so I think Ed is definitely maxed out in both intelligence and wisdom. I think he's actually got a surprisingly low charisma. He just has expertise in intimidation and proficiency in deception and maybe persuasion. But more likely his player is looking at that persuasion skill and asking can I make an intimidation check instead.
Now if I was playing a d&d game and the assignment was play Ed in d&d I would give him a high charisma because I would stat him out as a lurker of the deep warlock BUT I think in canon where they're all rogues and fighters his charisma is ass.
Stede- Stede's difficult to stat out. I think most of his stats are probably pretty bad but he has the lucky feat. And some other means of making sure he roles well. He's not dexterous, I'm not sure on his strength, his constitution seems middling, his charisma is hard to pin down because everyone initially hates him (implies low) but he frequently wins people over with the power of friendship (implies high) but I'm leaning towards low on charisma because the winning people over is through persistent whimsy rather than true people skills. They become begrudgingly fond of him because he's impossible to get rid of rather than because he's charming is what I'm saying. He's a good problem solved he thinks on his feet and he's got a good insight which makes me think high wis but also every survival check he makes fails in comical ways so maybe this is another situation of his proficiencies tricking me into thinking he's got a higher wis than he does. The one thing he does have going for him is that he's pretty book smart so I have to go with int by process of elimination, but again, maybe strength, that's kinda the dark horse stat for him he doesn't show it but he doesn't fail any strength rolls either. He knocked a guy out with a punch tho so maybe strength. But his defining trait is problem solving so maybe wis? Idk. Not Con Cha or Dex tho those ones are definitely negative modifiers. If I had to guess middling wis, middling but slightly higher int, most of his proficiencies are in int and Wis skills, medium to high strength but he never uses it.
Jim- Dex. I will not elaborate.
Olu- I generally see Olu as the Jack of all trades build. He's a well rounded individual. None of his stats are all that exceptional but he's good to have around because he's got no negative numbers, and can do it all if push comes to shove.
Lucius- Charisma. He's an artist and his most used non-technical skill is being good with people.
Zheng- Charisma. I feel like this doesn't need any explanation.
Archie- fighting your way out of a snake takes grit, not being digested, and quite a few successful checks to not pass out while holding your breath. Constitution.
Frenchie- Frenchie is very cerebral, but not very book smart. That being said artificers are intelligence casters so I'm going with INT.
Pete- strength or con. He's a silly little guy but his mental stats aren't great and he's not giving me dex vibes either. Human fighter build.
Fang- Strength. See him breaking a guy over his leg and him holding onto the side of the ship with the goat in hand for an hour at least so Ned Low wouldn't find them.
Roach- survival and medicine are both Wis skills and historically my DMs have made players role wisdom for cooking checks.
Wee John- Strength but Charisma is definitely second.
Buttons- Druids are Wis casters.
Swede- drank poison. Lived. Con.
Ivan- he wields an Axe which is a strength weapon so probably strength.
Spanish Jackie- Charisma or Dex, but she displays more charisma.
Calico Jack- Charisma definitely.
Anne- Charisma is the one we see her use but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say her Dex is better.
Mary R.- Strength on the Ivan principle. Definitely not charisma
Mary B.- Commoner stat block with proficiency in painters tools
Izzy- Strength. But much like Stede this is a process of elimination. His Constitution is the worst Constitution we see in OFMD (Izzy the spewer), his Charisma is ass (see everything about him) his wisdom is so bad he can't succeed on an insight check to save his fucking life (and his life has depended on it) intelligence is not so good, Dex is good given how often he lurks in the corner unseen and appears places and the thing he does to Stede's shirt in 1.02 but the beginning of the duel with Stede is the most clear instance of a character using a versatile weapon with their strength stat I've ever seen so I think his strength is probably equal to or better than his dex. Also all the things we see him teaching Stede in 2.05 are strength and dex skills so I think that's where his skill set is.
Damn this crew is not a dexy bunch. Jim said "I'm playing an assassin rogue that throws knives" and everyone else said "alright let me not step on your toes then"

nsfw headcannons with Cu~? (≧∀≦) hope you have a wonderful day~!
Hi anon, thanks; you too!!! Well, as my queue is permanently closed, I'm not really taking requests anymore... But I guess I can share a few general NSFW Cu headcanons. Some headcanons I have may be more popular than others, but I hope they will be enjoyable to read regardless. I've kept all situations with a partner gender-neutral as well!
Hope you enjoy... These will be tagged as 'lemon fanfic' and there won't be any explicit content however it will likely be 18+.
Warning: depictions of a sexual nature and mentions of kinks/ possible bedroom interactions, temperature play, outdoor sex, oral...
As you haven't specified a Cu, I will write for all four!!! (in my personal belief Proto is 18+ so he'll be included as well. These may be long...)
Fate Series Cu Chulainn (Proto, Lancer, Caster, Alter)-General NSFW Headcanons
Tumblr media
Proto Cu
As a Cu that seems even more intent on proving his worth than the others, I headcanon that he would possibly the type to go way out of his way to impact his partner as much as possible during sex. Like the kind of guy that will pull out as many stops as possible to make them melt beneath his touch (but then gets extremely carried away at some point, losing himself to the moment).
He does seem like the kind of guy to really indulge in the touch and sensations of his partner, however Proto Cu does also strike me as being pretty insecure sometimes as well. So sometimes he may try to play it cool at first, or may prefer sex with clothes on (until he gets really into it).
He's also depicted as a bit wilder and more unrestrained than the other Cu, and has a very restless vibe in my personal opinion. So I can imagine him getting a bit wild in the bedroom; via biting, pouncing etc. I bet he'd likely be the guy to pull out the claws, as well as feel great pleasure from having his partner's hands digging into his skin.
He'd likely enjoy as much simulation as possible, so would love if his partner touches him openly as well. He would want to feel them too, and would relish in them openly exploring his body. Let him know just how much you desire him.
On the reverse, this means planned foreplay will likely unravel very quickly- because Proto would likely get extremely hot under the collar, and lose track of himself. I guess this means that it could get a bit rough, but then in the myths they say he is a lover that knows how to attend to their partners' needs, so it may not get too intense.
He's cocky as hell, that's for certain. Just like on the battlefield, he most likely has trained in the arts of sex as well. If you praise him, he'll likely eat your adulation RIGHT UP and then push himself to please you even more, yearning for even more of your adoring words.
Despite this, as he's shown to warm up extremely quickly to the master in his 'my room' lines, and can be really affectionate; I believe he may also be a massive softie as well. I think he also has the potential to be a huge romantic in terms of NSFW, and would definitely enjoy a tender time together as well!!
Though as he's Proto, he may be a bit shy with the tender words at first; but seeing as he's the guy who still holds on dearly to his Gae Bolg replica from Prototype, as well as still speaking very fondly of his time in the Land of Shadows with Scathach- you bet that this guy's heart would likely be bursting with a lot of feelings.
As for kinks, I am unsure- this guy seems really open to many things. But as he also enjoys the thrill of battle, I have a feeling he'd get really excited from some combat-style stuff. I think he may be a lil bit freaky.
Kinks that can evoke a thrill, that makes his veins thrum with adrenaline-setting him off with deep desire. I think he loves that kind of simulation.
I once read a post that details Proto as the kind of guy who'd cook a nice breakfast after a passionate one-night stand, and I can also imagine that happening. I can also imagine there would be space for joy and laughter as well as some occasional random moments, so he'd be pretty fun overall!
Lancer Cu
Overall, I'd say he is pretty similar to Proto. But the major difference here is that Lancer gives the impression of being way more comfortable in his own skin than Proto is. He knows how fucking hot he is, and has the pride and ability to work a room (though he can also be extremely crude as well).
Lancer is proud of who he is, and isn't afraid to show it- so he'd be totally up for showing off to the utmost.
His flirting game would be a powerful entrée to set the mood. Be prepared for flirts that range from cute, affectionate and pretty complimentary of your skills and positive traits- to downright horny and even extremely blatant (he may be smooth, but personally I feel like Lancer sometimes also gets extremely carried away).
However, I believe that Lancer is a serious romantic. It seems to bring him great pleasure to commit Acts of Service by doing as much as possible for those he cares for, like a 'big brother' type.
I guess in a NSFW setting this means he'll attend to your needs and make you feel safe and comfy during some very attentive sex??
He may also be very easy to wrap around your fingers as well. He may very well bend his knees to your words of praise, desperately grasping for more.
Tell him just how good he feels, what you think about him... it'll give him a real boost, and maybe make him blush too. As the type who loves putting on a show- and who loves it even more when his heroic acts are admired and adored- admiring touches and words will have him whipped like an errant knight serving their lord.
On the other hand, he also loves a challenge; so may not be entirely adverse to being ordered around a little- especially if the demands are hot!
This one is probably also open to a lot of different kinds of sex and kinks, so there's a lot of options to play around with (ranging from tame to hardcore).
Lancer doesn't seem that judgmental when it comes to sexual desire, and whether a partner is experienced or a shy newbie, he'll be happy to take the reins- or let you pull him a little by the collar- if you dare to handle him, of course.
That doesn't mean he isn't intense though. Lancer is also very emotional, and will very likely fully invest himself into the moment. In a sentimental sense, that likely means he will bless you with praise and compliments, as well as endowing you with beautiful terms of endearment in his native language.
In a horny sense though... watch out. You may be at it all night, in all sorts of ways. If things are feeling good, then he'll indulge in the moment with you for as long as possible.
If things get a little heated, or even competitive- such as fighting for dominance, or really going at one another- then he'll battle back with his utmost. If you want to render him to paste beneath your luxurious touch, Lancer will make you work for it. He likes the competition.
Lancer will remember exactly what turns you on, and is a very perceptive warrior; so though he may not always read the finer details, he'll be able to gauge how you're feeling or know exactly where to set you off- so be prepared for one heck of an experience.
"Do heroes give head?!" The debate continues. Sure, I bet he'd enjoy receiving some oral, tightly weaving his hands around the easiest part of his partner that he can access.
However, in my opinion- who knows? He may return the favor every now and then, pouring his all servicing a partner; and enjoying the way in which they unravel before his sumptuous fingers and tongue.
On a last note though, I do think there are aspects of Lancer that can be very deeply sentimental at times; as well as moments in which his more sorrowful aspects may rise to the surface.
There may be moments where he completely unravels his outer face of peerless confidence before a partner and unleashes the vulnerability resting within, and may just wish to bury himself within another's warmth, whiling away the painful hours by another's side.
Caster Cu
Caster Cu is also very similar to Proto and Lancer in terms of NSFW headcanons (im sorry im just repeating this for all of them). However, to me personally, Caster Cu's air of mystery and emotional distance is much stronger than Proto and Lancer's. This man is like a wizard's maze, boasting many different aspects to his character.
As he's older, the flirting game is even more deadly. He likely has a tough repertoire by this stage, able to set even the steeliest of hearts aflutter (or serve as a very humorous and interesting guy to banter with at the very least).
Due to his role serving as a form of guidance towards Mash and the Master- as well as certain lb6.5 spoilers that reveal the reason as to why he has adopted a role that is so strongly defined by wisdom- he is likely to have a more mature edge to him.
This doesn't mean that he's immune from 'silly time' though.
This means that he'll be a comfy guy for someone who is a bit new to sex or someone who is nervous, as he can consistently guide them along; constantly adjusting to their changing pace and needs.
However, he does seem to give off the impression of being rather tired (are those bags under his eyes?), so he may have a bit less stamina. Or maybe more. Caster Cu is very unpredictable in my opinion, however I can imagine him complaining of pains in his joints and of aching muscles, so some kinks may be a bit more exhausting for him to pull off.
That doesn't mean that he's not up for some adventure though! Now he's got all the time in the world to explore nature, get prepared for an exciting bevy of locations.
From the forest, the great outdoors; to even under a waterfall- he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to have any shame about where he'd indulge within a good time.
Thanks to his mastery over the runes, Caster is your ultimate guy for temperature play. A little bit of ice from the Isa rune there, and a comforting fire from runes such as the Kenaz one make for a very titillating time.
Rotating between heating and cooling the parts of your body that yearn for him, as well as even as going far as to change the temperature of his body as he works his way through- you'll be bound to melt beneath his touch.
Plant sex with the runes is also an option. Making sure to remain careful enough not to hurt you with his vines, yet also tightening the pressure enough for your face to lax with bliss, he fills with excitement (and a bit of apprehension) when pleasuring you with nature.
Though it gets him hot to see you so appreciative of his ancient arts, your expressions of pleasure make it increasingly difficult for him to retain his slipping sense of composure...
However, he may burst out with a strange catchphrase or a silly move every now and then (matrix ordanye- bedroom edition style).
Please don't mind it- or even laugh along if you like! Caster Cu gives me the impression of being a rather surreal and random lad at times, and I feel as if the realms of NSFW would be no exception to showcasing this funnier side of him.
Seeing as Caster is more measured than his other selves, and allegedly boosts a even temperament, he may be less prone to get carried away within the moment, however he likely still has a tender side, flattering you with caring words and loving touches.
He isn't yet immune to praise either, so don't hold back in letting him know how you feel about him (he may get even MORE flustered, or caught off guard with surprise).
Despite this, it can feel as if Caster Cu is wearing a very tight mask at times. It may take a bit longer than the other Cu to really see him set loose, and let his words and feelings flow freely within the moment. It doesn't mean he's enjoying things any less, though.
After losing so many that are dear to him- over and over again- and experiencing so many terrifying moments, he may savor every moment as if it's his very last, drinking in every last second with a partner.
The here and now, this fleeting moment. Caster Cu will hold it dearly, in order to calmly let things go once the time comes.
This may manifest on him holding on a little tighter to you at times, burying his face against your own, almost as if he's worried you'll suddenly drift away.
Caster gives me the impression of being very sentimental deep down, but keeping said cards of emotion very closely bound against his chest. It may be a bit of challenge to get him to unravel a little, but it's far from impossible.
Cu Alter (In General)
In terms of NSFW, I believe that Cu Alter is an extreme contrast to the other three. Despite having the same capacity for emotion and care as the others, he operates as if he's an unfeeling killing machine- almost as if he's a beast with no reason (even though that's not always the case with him).
In my opinion, I feel like Cu Alter is most likely to have sex during a situation that fulfils a need or an urge of his- for example, having sex solely to recharge his mana, or if he needs a physical release from all the things going on inside of him.
Sex with him in these circumstances may focus on the most necessary elements of intercourse only, jumping straight to the grittiest, most business-like aspects of the act.
Cu Alter isn't the type to let himself have fun, nor allow himself to enjoy sensations as much as his other selves do.
That doesn't mean that other forms of sex are completely off the table, it's just that to me personally- it would likely be rarer for him to have more sentimental types of sex, seeing as he showcases his care for others in extremely subtle ways.
He's also suffering and struggling in an extreme manner, so it also may be extremely difficult for him to express those kinds of feelings.
Possibly as a result of the corruption of the grail and his madness enhancement, even when he showcases his deep affection- it is often marred by contradictory words and harsh insults that belies how deeply he feels for others.
Emotions are likely really, really hard for him.
Cu Alter is likely the type to show how he feels through actions, as a result of struggling severely to articulate his feelings via words.
He is very awkward and reticent when it comes to expressing his feelings, so hearing praise from him may be quite rare.
However, as his words tend to manifest as insults, he may mutter phrases of a more degrading, cold or fierce nature in the bedroom at first.
Cu Alter often says the complete opposite of how he feels. So if he were to feel affection for someone, he may push them away with some stinging words or attempts to inform them of his apparent nature.
He'll make it incredibly hard for you to get close at first, batting away words of praise; and doggedly insisting that he's nothing more than a monster- that you shouldn't praise nor adore him. Cu Alter won't harm a partner, but he may be very stubborn against praise at first.
I believe he is the type to pick up others with his tail, or wrap his tail around them, and sleep next to them; getting close. I feel like he may let his guard down a little if he feels comfortable sleeping next to his partner.
You may not hear him say how he feels, but I headcanon that he may give into guttural growls, moans and other incoherent noises when he's having a good time; claws and fanged teeth clutching onto his partner for dear life.
For Cu Alter, in a sexual setting- I think his actions will be of a much greater import than his words.
Cu Alter also purposely isolates himself from others. It's as if he is very self-punishing. So I think in terms of sex, the act itself may be a barrier to him- seeing as he does all in his power to give the impression of being distant and avoiding touch with others.
Sex could possibly be a bit rough and intense with him, or very sleepy and slow.
He does seem like the tired and worn out sort, to an almost worrying level; so I don't feel as if he'd go too hardcore- unless he eventually decides to unleash the millions of restraints that he's shackled and bound himself with.
This kind of side to him may explode within a more combat-focused situation, or a very intense one in which he decides to set off all of the things burgeoning inside of him, so it could end up being an extremely wild sort of sex. (I'm not too sure myself, as Cu Alter is a character that I find difficult to truly grasp.)
I feel like sex of the slower sort may be more likely with him though, as he doesn't give me the impression of being one who would unravel quite so easily around another.
As he seems so exhausted, there is a chance that his partner may have to take the lead at times, or initiate the mood- he's not going to really have the skills to set things up himself or flirt. I can imagine him being very languid and tired, so a partner may need to actually take Cu Alter by the hands this time.
As the once Mad King of America, Cu Alter is used to barking out orders, so you may hear quite a lot of those in the bedroom!
Cu Alter (in a more affectionate sexual situation)
I haven't got much to say in terms of this scenario, as I believe that he'll still struggle a lot to express his feelings. However, in a situation in which he gives up on pushing a partner away, he may really indulge in the little things- and wrap himself protectively around a partner, melding every part of his body against their form.
He is likely EXTREMELY touch-starved, so I can imagine him really taking in every single curve of a partner, deeply taking in every single touch, nip, bite and touch of his against yours.
I do think he has a side that is every bit as sensory as the other Cu deep down- maybe even more so, as he's been cut off from touch and isolated from others for so long.
His words will be a bit less harsh, and he may be a lot more receptive to your touch and words of adulation in this sort of situation.
I can imagine him taking extremely long naps and just holding a partner in his arms all day in this kind of situation. He wants to be as close as he possibly can to you, treasuring you with every fiber of his being.
Extra (General Notes)
I do think that Cu Chulainn would entertain many various forms of relationships and sexual relations, and that open relationships would be a possibility as well. In terms of NSFW, I believe he is open to many kinds of situations and scenarios.

metaphor re fanfasio live playthrough thoughts. spoilers
oh we going post modern meta narrative. I wonder what's up with more.
one race means there's harmony and no discrimination or conflict. Wow this is a fantasy story.
why did we need to go to the capital to get recruited into the guard to get deployed to where grius was why not just go directly to grius. Also this assassination plot sounds bad it's one dude with a knife. rip grius.
Well the demo is excellent in every way but that doesn't mean the rest of the game is good. Ffxvi.... I remember
If there isn't a cat/dog boy party member i'll riot.
The big face rock is the wildest government system.
Instead of just the sanctoress for the contest why not also bring the human corpse.
Going onto the deck of a rolling ship feels stupid what are you two even doing
All the characters are great so far but I'm falling in love with fidelio. Tsundere tiny big brother. He has puppy ears.
copied smtiv's homework, joking of course post apocalyptic modern past fantasy present is a common enough story premise. Whats the list at now for what this game is a fusion of: persona 5, etrian odyssey, smtiv (arguably v too).
How literal is that "hearts the source of magla" thing and how literal are the mechanical hearts. I wouldnt put it past the devs for everyone to be a robot.
something is happening with the parapus brothers. they are springing far too many flags and i got spoiled that basilio is a party member. if fidelio dies i'm quitting he's my favorite.
Louis is wayyy to important narratively to die this early. Probably. Uh the theater audience cant see the roof well. If eupha recalls the lance they'll know someone took it but not who. If you're going to give forden the lance anyways i dont see why bother appearing on stage. didnt do that good of a job telling how evil louis was could have given a better speech. SHOULD HAVE CHECKED LOUIS WAS DEAD YOURSELVES. Also that hooded guy is so sus. Forden think they're working for him but they also reported to louis about the party's actions. Uh also you lot never confirmed louis was the curse caster like could have confronted him during the fight. Like you all just vigilante killed the wrong man. Maybe.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Well rella puppet or not, and louis both seem better rulers than forden so I'm happy about him dying. forden law route vibes.
woah hulkenburg ready to kill. we really are just killing people willy nilly on the slightest suspicions. that's 3 asassination attempts and 2 of them were the wrong person.
there are so many sus things about the mc. like why doesnt russell know him. wouldnt be surprised if he and the prince were two halves of the same person. why does the prince have no name and there was that name input at the begining of the game. something up.
oh wait that's real, i was also thinking like twinsies or something. his humansona! his self insert character! I'm laughing so hard right now. this is really good thematically but i can't stop laughing
wow he really is just griffith. he's cosplaying a clemar. and louis chose to have bigger than average horns.
Havent been commenting too much because it's too good. One thing that bothers me is the timeline and prince's assassination attempt which happened like 12? Years ago. Rella and louis were said to be unusually young and i guess this is a jrpg but having like a 16 year old general feels a bit much. And if hulkenberg was a royal knight presumably she had some accomplishments and experience already before being promoted. Fidelio was already a trusted aide of louis (presumably with military accomplishments) before the assassination attempt. Anyways it just feels like the timeline is very tight and a number of people were in rather veteran positions despite being rather young. I suppose it's plausible much of the cast is in their early 30s. Fidelio's appearence is nonindicative of his age but a lot of the cast though feel 20s like stohl feels young, first venture as an adult and all. An easier solution really would have been to make the assassination attempt not that long ago say 6 years instead.
So not only is zorba gay he's also trans. Ok. Slay king choose your form.
louis chaos hero for real. Louis rizz off the charts.
He really is just lucifer now. Louis cyphre moment. Louis chaos route vs thorden law route. Bruh his magical girl transformation was just stripping. The only thing about this fight is that the music could have gone harder
There are so many shibuyas in this game. Because its already established that the modern world in in the past and this is post apocalyptic. Then there's more's book which i initially assumed was a nod to irl (like in kingdom hearts) but then was revealed to maybe be historically based. Now he's saying the game isn't real, should have used video footage like Eva rebuild did. We're fighting against the author. Who's also our dad while our mom supporting us. Dad's oc vs son's oc. outer space fight is cool but in the middle of shibuya like the yozora fight also would have been cool.
Ah there's the 2nd phase was kinda hoping for one. I wonder why both joy and mirth are there. Crucified hanging puppets that he's eating, 1 each to represent the tribes. (Which speaking of why dont the fairies count unless their origins are in pure magla like dragons instead of being mutated ancient humans like the tribes.)
Someone pointed out that if louis hadn't nullified the king's assassin magic he would have won the popularity contest
Yeeeaaaahhh... statesmanship.... you have 0 management or large scale leadership experience. 0 policy nothing concrete all vibes I would not have voted for him. Ah and there's the porkbarelling neopotism favoritism political appointments. Also his face was on a giant rock for months how does no one know it.
excellent game. good enough that i don't have many complaints which is why this is short i always right more when i have something to complain about. I ended up really liking all the parapus characters like catherina is so good hell yeah community organizing! she's actually doing the work.

GENESIS CHAPTER!!! YESSSSSSS MY BOYY
Genesis is a hate-reader 🍷 Canon to me. I'm also glad you give him time to shine as a strategist, like, he IS a caster and one of the most proficient SOLDIERs in existence 💅stands to reason he does have to think things through on the battlefield and this isn't addressed nearly enough imo.
Zack "I'm not traumatized 😀" Fair is breaking my heart here. Both Cloud and Zack get to miraculously be together after losing the other, but the fear is fresh in Zack's mind. And unfortunately due to the rapidly developing situation (SCREAMS) he doesn't really have time to process and address it, and that's assuming he isn't avoiding doing so like the plague because Cloud's alive so everything's fine now right? 😀 Except it's super not and now Zack is the only one who really knows how not fine it is 💔
Speaking of not addressing emotions lol Angeal is in full repression mode and Sephiroth is isolatinggg 😬 I know how easy it is to withdraw when you're used to not having anyone there for you, when you have to figure out and manage everything yourself regardless of how unequipped you are for the task, but I also feel for Genesis here because it really does take a lot of work to gently coax people out of that over and over again. I like how you're addressing this in general, but especially from this pov! I really feel Genesis' frustration here. He knows it would get better if Seph just came home 😥
I really enjoyed the intel gathering scene with Bolin 👌👌👌 You're really serving up top shelf Genesis in this chapter and it's delightful to watch! But Camp 28 is stressing me tf out agagshshshshs Zack is somewhat reassured for now but even Kenny is worried about Cloud's lack of self preservation (physically and emotionally damn) and he doesn't even know how bad of a situation they're walking into! Though no one really knows and that's kind of the problem, but I love Kenny and I want him to survive this 😭 He needs to survive so he can be brave and trust Juvie with the kids!
Speaking of kids, CLAUDIA IS SO PRECIOUS I CANT 💕 I'm as bad as Vincent at this point. Claudia deserves the world (and she doesn't even exist anymore.. I will never be ok again 🫠)
I'm a little worried about whatever Genesis has planned to address the Camp 28 situation, because, well, it's Genesis lol but at the same time I love his constant rebellion against being told "no" 💅
Thanks for the amazing chapter!!!! Time to reread the whole thing again to distract myself from the incredible suspense of what's to come 😁🍿
HI HI HI THANKS FOR LEAVING ME THIS TO WAKE UP TO!!!
Genesis being a strategist just makes sense to me. Like. The man led a rebellion against Shinra that turned into a straight up war, waged it for a decent amount of time, and managed to not immediately get eradicated. That in itself says the man’s got SOME brains on him lol
Yeahhh Zack’s still in the “just happy Spike’s here” stage and honestly doesn’t even realize what he’s doing. The weight of carrying Cloud’s secret is kinda trumping his own emotions in importance, which miiiiiight not be good :/
It’s kind of sad when, to an extent, Genesis is being the most emotionally intelligent among them. I mean. Seriously. Genesis? Same guy that thought talking Sephiroth into insanity would make the dude help heal him? Yeah if he’s the smartest emotionally everyone needs some DIRE help.
But also guess what conflict is going to be resolved next chapter because I like making Seph suffer but not THAT damn much? Angeal’s repression might take a bit longer but gimme a second there’s five character arcs going on at once 😂
Camp 28 is, if you guys didn’t notice, another parade situation, except I’m dragging it out for effect LMAO. It obviously isn’t exactly the same but…well, you’ll see ;) Kenny’s just trying to look out for a buddy :( Cloud’s doing the same thing, just like…way more risky and possibly self destructive. Immortality went RIGHT to his head IMMEDIATELY
Cloud says it’s his daughter but that’s OUR DAUGHTER!!!
And like you said lmao—
Sephiroth: Genesis, no
Genesis: is that a fucking challenge
Nah seriously like, Genesis and ‘letting that slide’ don’t go in a sentence together. it’s just
Genesis, squinting at Camp 28: I don’t know what the fuck’s going on but TRUST you will be dealt with
Feel AWFUL for leaving this answer to you in my drafts for like…for fucking ever 😭 But thanks for leaving me this lovely!!! Always encouraging to read a lil smth from you 🖤🖤🖤

Flashback o'clock with Valere and Zale.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Staff Girl and Sword Boy are pretty standard tropes but I appreciate that Valere and Zale think they're being clever by coming up with it. Credit to Valere all the same for using her staff for martial arts instead of spellcasting.
I mean, we're supposed to learn to "use magic without using magic" so I assume they'll both be spellcasting at some point. But my point is, Valere isn't slotted in the Dedicated Caster role. By her own admission here, she picked the staff because she wants a beatstick to bludgeon her enemies with.
She's in the box, but she's being innovative about it.
Tumblr media
NUH NUH NUH NUH NUH, you don't get off that easy. What's your weapon gonna be, Garl? We've got beatstick and slashy blade covered so might I suggest something long-range like a bow?
Tumblr media
Is that our plan? Because I gotta tell you, I've been down that road before. And while the magical kingdom of Disney Animation is indeed a treasure trove of wonderment, it comes packaged with. Just. The wildest bull crap you've ever heard in your life.
Tumblr media
She's nice, but a bit shallow in terms of personality. She was an early character when the writing wasn't all there. Her villain, however, is one of the all-time most popular in the brand.
Tumblr media
Ohhh, you mean the Midgard Serpent.
Yeah. No. Don't frick with that. Bad things happen if he wakes up.
Tumblr media
Somebody's going to block those holes at some point. I know it. You know it. Any sedative that relies on a geographic feature is easy to interfere with.
Tumblr media
Um. Are. Are they.
Tumblr media
Did we already harvest most of them? Because this is an awful lot of space for nine crops.
Does our village have problems and no one's telling me about it 'cause I'm just a little one?
Tumblr media
And what the hell are these? They are not in the designated crop field.
Is our farmer skimming off the top? Are we going hungry so he can have his own secret blue melon stash?
Tumblr media
I found an adult!
These two look like the Pokemon Legends ancient past leaders for Team Magma and Team Aqua.
Tumblr media
Oh, she looks terrifying in sprite portrait. Any human being that has more bones outside their skin than in is not to be fucked with. General rule of thumb.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Are we about to see the "Zale smacks a sunball with his bare hand" incident? Because I'll be a little miffed if they repeat that joke but I'll also be too busy laughing to care.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love her confidence. Valere only wants one thing out of life: Validation for how hard she can hit a person with a stick. She has feral goblin energy and I'm here for it.
Tumblr media
Fucking rude. I hate this guy already. I'm going to drown him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OMINOUS. Erlina has some damage that she's not talking about, on account of the fact that we're like ten. I'm starting to get the impression that this whole Solstice Warrior thing isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Do they pair a Sun and Moon person for every mission? Or do Sun people and Moon people have their own stuff they do on their own, and they only get paired up sometimes? I'm very curious to understand how that works.
Tumblr media
Oh, sweet! THIS IS MY HOLY TIME. Sorry, Zale, but as a Moon person, the night of the full moon is my holiday. That means you have to do whatever I tell you to. Those are the rules that I just made up.
Go fetch me a blue-melon soda.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That sounds like a wonderful place to visit multiple times. I'm there.
Oh, shoot, this is the mistake that cost us Garl, isn't it?
Tumblr media
Wait, that's our plan? B&E in a place literally called Forbidden and then run straight to the authority figure and brag about what we've done?
Yeah, I see that ending super well for us. This is a great idea. I'm happy to be a part of it.
Hahahahahaha we're so going to get banished. Well, I guess we might as well--
Tumblr media
EVEN MORE SPARKLE MELONS in another random patch! Okay, so maybe he's not skimming off the top. Maybe he just doesn't freaking know how to plant them in the gosh darned field.

fgo anon adventure continues
>not to summarise a whole part in one sentence but Moriarty bullying was everything I didn't know I needed. Nevermind waifu wars, I need a cringe old man tournament
>after reading more of your they/them fanfiction, I do think you specifically have the right to go off on this game
>finally unlocked Wu's true name, bonds etc. I surprisingly liked her entrance
>I actually liked her introduction. I would be okay with there being lore reasons why she looks like a kid (and I am being vastly generous when I say lore reasons) but I would still pick a fight with whoever made that ascention design. I would put them in the pot.
>I don't know if you'd know this but she has a rank up quest that does go into more detail of how despite having her full life memories, this is the young version of Wu who first entered the palace. She gets nightmares about the nasty stuff other women used to say about her. It was pretty sad.
>Im glad Columbo is the evil disgusting bastard he deserves to be
>There's just something kinda "this was written by a man" about agartha's section that I can't really be bothered to disect. you know you know
> if it was me 1. Columbo would not have gotten Heracles ["Can we blow up Astolfo instead?" (I don't even hate them or anything)] 2. I guessed it was Caster pretty fast actually. I don't know if I could have afforded to call her out early
> Fergus(old): *opens his mouth* me:I hate this game *keeps playing it*
When Will I Finally Have My Last Drop With This Game? Stay Tuned.
sidenote:
Me: *innocently logs in to do some limited quest* WAS THAT FREAKING MERLIN IN A BLACK SHIRT? HUH? WHAT?
I genuinely thought I hallucinated him cause he literally only shows up for a second, buffs the monsters, dips out (this is very on brand)
Looked it up, found the Camelot & co illustrations, forgot how to breathe for a minute.
I hope you are doing well!
I am doing ok all things considered.
Agartha is the most hated chapter next to Septum. They were written by the same person if I remember correctly? It's very much specifically a him problem, he's quite bad at writing.
I like Astolfo, but I watched Apocrypha so a lot of it comes from there. I also agree that it was nice to see fate lean into him being an actual villain! Wish it had happened in a better chapter!
When it comes to Wu... I don't really know how I feel about her tbh. When it comes to lolis in Fate... there is no innocent explanation I am willing to give them because I know Prisma Illya exists. And because of something related to Abigail Williams I won't get into yet because I don't know if you have done Salem or not. No amount of interesting takes on a character excuses sexualizing a child, it's honestly my biggest ick with the series as a whole.
Back to Agartha for a second... fgo does this thing where it will introduce a female historical figure who is known for having been sexualized and degraded and it will make her character design hyper sexual, and they do this constantly. There are a lot of arguments about this, some say it's about reclaiming a woman's power and agency but I don't really find myself able to accept that. It sort of rings hollow when you are a gacha game that makes money off of making sexy women. It's kind of like a makeup company advertising women's empowerment as a key part of their brand identity. Sure, your founders and employees might really believe that, but you are pushing skincare products towards a younger and younger age demographic because it makes you money.
I don't know if you are familiar with NeiR at all, but the weird guy who makes it has been pretty open about the fact that he made 2b look like that because he thought it would be sexy. I have 0 problems with that, what I don't like is when a game or franchise makes money off of sexy women and then bends over backwards to justify why they do that. But then again, bending over backwards to justify things is sort of Fate does at all times anyway so maybe I'm just over thinking things. It is nice to have a chance to talk about these things and still be allowed to like the series! The fight scenes in fate are peak as are some of the concepts they come up with, I just don't always enjoy it when they start pandering because well. It's not like they're pandering to me now are they?

hellooooooooooooo i realized i have never done like a full list of my ocs. so here it is
amma theylin: dark elf rogue, chaotic neutral (leans evil), dual-wielding swords and ranged bow, proficient in being sneaky and being hot. tragic backstory is she became infatuated with a guy who was trying really hard to be lawful good and when he dropped the ball on their coup d'état plot she killed him and ran. will do literally anything if it pays well enough. played her in dnd, bg3 and elder scrolls.
lady gwendolyn viridience morrigan, druidess, esq.: half-elf druid, usually chaotic good, majored in botany, minored in ethically questionable usage of charm spells. tends a greenhouse that holds a portal to the feywild, the stewardship of which she was bequeathed by a very powerful archwizard and mentor and good friend, on his deathbed. she never wanted it but the choice was between her and her evil sister/s so the archwizard gave it gwen. now she uses it to (1) be the best damn florist in neverwinter (2) howl's moving castle her way away from bad fantasy tinder dates because she's a hopeless romantic and terrified of commitment. played her in dnd and bg3.
samson o'dare: human/aasimar paladin, true good, big sword and bigger shield, great with animals, has wings like a mourning dove. he worshiped chauntea as a child and then one day lathander appeared to him in the middle of a field and told him it was his holy holy duty to be a paladin of light. samson was like hell yeah i want a sword. and began adventuring. adventuring quickly proved to be far more unpleasant than he had expected and he prays to chauntea every day like "mom i'm scared come pick me up". played him in dnd and bg3.
nol barrow-bound: undead death cleric, ??? (she is extremely impressionable), sickle and staff/half-caster, uses a human skull as an arcane focus and has 1 million holy symbols on her person. used to be a hag's apprentice and then she woke up on the side of the road one day and was just like, "guess i'm an entrepreneur now". gifted alchemist, even more gifted necromancer, makes her living as an herbalist and medium, lowkey cheats on the medium part because she just tells people what they want to hear (or at least what she thinks they want to hear) but she doesn't see it as cheating because she IS contacting the dead she just isn't letting them be RUDE. collects roadkill. also kind of looks like roadkill. one time i thought "haha what if nol and samson were in an adventuring party together" and now they're tragedy-to-romance endgame lovers. played her in dnd and skyrim. she's usually my go-to for dnd oneshots :')
sigg solveig/sigourney gevaudan: human (? she's huge, there's no way she's fully human)/werewolf barbarian, will change her entire ethos if a hot girl says so, sword/axe/hammer so big it is physically impossible for people other than her to wield. tragic backstory is she contracted lycanthropy at a young age and wound up killing her familar. she went into hiding and became a fighter, a laborer, a soldier, whatever put food on her table, but eventually her lycanthropic bloodlust got hard to control and she became a hermit rather than risk killing her loved ones again. she is not smart or wise or especially clever but why would she need to be when she can crush someone's head with one hand. womanizer but her deepest wish is to get married and be a stay-at-home mom baking for her wife every day. played her in pathfinder and skyrim.
princess daisychain frances van pancypants iii: goblin, class variable but generally support/healing, true good. looks like an albino bat. raised by halflings. the sweetest, nicest, tiniest magical girl you will ever meet. completely filled with love. knows one (1) swear word. played her in dnd.
arkhemites "miette" du bäl: tiefling warlock, something evil but might go on a hero's journey idk, worships whatever tentacled space monster is native to the setting. wants to plunge the world into entropy so it can be born anew. she's noble or royal but has like 16 sisters and most of them are older. played her in starfinder.

this will be so unserious because if i try to take this seriously i will spontaneously combust
Okay first some terms and explanations:
Venemagiks (pronounced with a g as in good)—people who are born part human, part magical creature. Their traits can vary from as mild as having some cool horns, to as severe as having their skeleton on the outside, same with magical abilities. For some it's a blessing, for a some a curse, 'cause they'd rather not catch fire in direct sunlight, you get me!!
Transmutation—I know you know what transmutation is, but in the context of this story, it works by deconstructing material at the molecular level and thus is more science than magic, really
Human transmutation—pretty self-explanatory, but important note: it is ILLEGAL!! because it's TOO DIFFICULT!! the chances of success are so astronomically low that you'll probably kill whoever you're trying to transmute so it is AGAINST THE LAW to even TRY!!
Magia (again with that same g)—the physical element in the air using which people can Do Magic
There are three types of casters: mages—academics who've studied the discipline and have a license to wield a magia conductor, 'cause otherwise you can't Do Magic; priests—they're devoted to certain deities and have access to magia through them (these communities rarely mix); freecasters—mostly some magical creatures that are innate spellcasters and can just Do Magic through their bodies, and some venemagiks can also inherit this trait
POV Characters!!
Quilin d'Alisso
a transmutation mage, certified Expert in his field
tortured genius™
decided he's Good Enough to do human transmutation with the help of his besties because it is, in theory, the only way to help venemagiks who need that help
well he was right and thus became the first ever Former venemagik
can't really hide that fact so the academy he was part of was like ">:000 ok you did it to urself so we're gonna let u off with a warning BUT YOU GOT LUCKY AND DON'T ATTEMPT THIS SHIT ON OTHERS"
guess what he did lmao
anyways things did go wrong eventually, because of course they did, and he got the ye olde exile hammer
it was either that or execution for his crimes so... i mean....
oh boy did it this whole thing give him trauma tho aha :)
he swears off ever doing this shit again, some years pass, a cute boy comes along, asks for help really really nicely, and, well, you know
and then HE DIES
but don't worry he gets better
anyways he's a bit of a bastard man, 'it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission', absolutely in love with said cute boy (coming up) and that uh causes some problems, his sense of humor involves threats of medical malpractice
i initially planned for him to be the deuteragonist but then i got obsessed and so he got promoted
some general info: trans guy, 28-29, blind without his glasses, comes from high society, pastel palette (prefers pink for hair), lost an arm in the Incident
Endra Velion
mentioned cute boy
actual babyboy, the sweetest ever, kinda immature
neurodivergent as hell
a venemagik, only kinda a weird one... has a sentient parasite in his body that is slowly eating away at said body and mind (looks like obsidian is spreading over his skin)
at the point where he finds Quil, he no longer has a FACE, so.... man's suffering a little
is a freecaster because of it tho!!
also he doesn't need to breathe, eat, or drink because of it, 'cause the parasite wants his body to remain alive....
doesn't mean he doesn't feel the need to, because i'm evil sorry
his past isn't as dramatic, he lived in a secluded community established and ran by his mom, consisting purely of venemagiks that feel unsafe living with the general population because of their quirks and stuff
he did have to run away from it, though, 'cause his mom is vehemently against seeking any mages or priests out for help (because of....reasons....)
anyways he manages to convince Quil to help him yay
falls for Quil very hard, he's obsessed (affectionate)
an artist, loves to play the piano, draw (when uh he was able to see at least), learns how to cook for Quil too 'cause god knows he does not feed himself well, also a big cat enthusiast (adopts the first stray he comes across rip)
he is also illiterate
so basically this dynamic is 'guy who has an entire library in his basement and is obsessed with books x guy who does not know how to fucking read'
some general info: cis guy, 24-25, tall, wears mostly simple earthy clothing, (dark) hair bun gang
next time i'm gonna go over some other relevant characters that play major roles in the present timeline, 'cause what i talked about here mostly concerns the past one lol
also, check out WWCC intro post
tag list (let me know if you wanna be removed 'cause i'm adding people from the pitch event, so i'm not entirely sure you're okay with being tagged x) also let me know if you wanna be added): @writerfae, @tate-lin, @iriswords, @sternenmeerkind, @thecrookedwriterspath, @pure-solomon, @moonshinemagpie, @arowanaprincess

The Grail War poll blog is a lot of fun but yeah some people are being kind of annoying about it. (Not you I'm just speaking in general). No one's died yet either so at least there's that.
I hadn’t really thought abt it when I started but I guess that my blog might be more ‘influential’ just in the sense that I actually make stuff for the guy I want to win so people who follow me that don’t participate in the war otherwise might vote for him just bc I’m always posting about him
But like that doesn’t mean other people can’t do things for the side they want to win to drum up interest? Like where’s the memes and such for caster and rider and saber??? Ik not everyone can draw but we can all dick around in a meme editor right-I feel like a jerk being the only one to make any sort of propaganda for my fav bc it makes me worried I’m being obnoxious and making people resent him for being ‘popular’ when it’s less that and more one person massively hyperfixating on him

morthal and markarth for the skyrim asks!
Ty for the ask! 💞
Morthal - Do you enjoy exploring dungeons and ruins? Why or why not?
Kinda depends tbh. Dungeons with multiple rooms absolutely FULL of enemies encourage a more stealthy approach, and while I'm a capable stealth archer, it's not my preferred play style, so it can be a bit unfun. The alternative, however, is the ENTIRE DUNGEON hearing me engage in melee and swarming me at once, which. Also isn't fun. Ultimately I guess the answer comes down to "depends on the number of guys in there" and "how likely is Marked For Death to solve the entire issue?" Skyrim is basically the only game where, when given a choice, I'll choose martial over caster or archer, but this can be a problem in packed dungeons. I like single or few guy brutal slugfests where we just beat the shit out of each other. Also then I can just take a break to throw up my shield and watch Celann materialize to OHKO them, which fills me with glee literally every time
Markarth - If you could rewrite one questline in Skyrim, which would it be? (This answer is sooooo long btw)
Hmm... I'm actually not too interested in a lot of them, but when it comes to being disappointed in one, it's the Civil War questline. The entire thing amounts to "use your main character powers about 5 times in a dungeon or something and then go fight the oppositional leader." You can't even fix Whiterun, a place you specifically took for its geographical, strategic, and mercantile advantage. You just leave it in ruins???
There are two quests in the entire line that aren't just "awkwardly storm this place with a couple guys,' and one of them is optional. Both sides have a "steal/plant enemy orders" quest, but the "gaining intel/blackmail" quest is in both cases entirely optional. There's one non-combative "sneak and find this document/gather intel" quest, and no "root out a traitor" or "disrupt a supply line" type quests (technically this one is awkwardly tacked onto the end of the optional quest.) The Dark Brotherhood, Dawnguard, and Thieves Guilds have similar respective quests that we can compare to the 1.5 non-combative Civil War quests: finding intel on Maro's son, the radiant "vampire advisor" quests, basically the entire beginning TG questline (Honningbrew, Goldenglow hives.)
Each of these questlines involve non-typical quests, aka quests where you have to approach it a little differently than the rest of your work: the Brotherhood stealing documents and planting false evidence like thieves, the Dawnguard committing assassinations and pickpocketing orders like both the Brotherhood AND the Guild, the Guild quest where you engage not only in open combat with Mercer, but kill him, like both the Dawnguard and, well, the Brotherhood Brynjolf insists you're not.
While those questlines are largely the same sort of quests on repeat, it's because they're, well, specialized guilds. Built entirely around doing those things. That's their entire function. When it comes to a war (which is very NOT a guild,) you'd expect a bit more than just a few skirmishes, especially considering the only thing that changes when you join is, well. There's one more guy in the skirmish. But magically this turns the tide and the entire war is won through brute force when previously there seemed no end in sight. The questline lacks variety, is incredibly, oddly short for what's supposed to be a war, and generally just... lacks impact. Nothing really happens afterwards. Faction camps are still sitting around, and you still can't even clear them. Hold guards are replaced by the faction that won and Whiterun is permanently in shambles. Can't even fix Whiterun ffs there's not even quests for that.
* After leaving this in the drafts for a few weeks and thinking about it some more, I think ultimately the problem IS the brevity. "Do four battles and suddenly we win" is absolutely insane. The Dawnguard DLC and the Thieves Guild, even the one single time I played it, have spoiled me rotten with the never ending radiant quests. It prevents the Companions feeling of "I joined three days ago and now I'm in charge and everyone does what I say" that throws everyone off. Not only can you keep accepting them, the mainline quests don't get in the way of accepting them (... like the Companions only telling you to go talk to Aela.) This means you can keep accepting radiant quests that provide a feeling of integration and contribution (in)to the guild, and also avoids the Companions and Civil War feeling of "I did three quests and it's over and everyone is bowing to me" by allowing you to do guild things in-between the main quests.
Not only that, but they offer a variety the main line might not provide, especially with the Dawnguard. For example, siding with the Volkihar includes a quest where you're given Dawnguard armor and told to go cause a scene, striking down some innocent civilian in the name of "vampire hunting" to sow public distrust. This quest is cool as fuck conceptually btw, why is a Volkihar radiant cooler than the entire CW line???
Ultimately I think if I could change one thing about the Civil War line specifically it would be adding TG/DG style radiant quests that can be done between main missions and also include "milestone" type quests that really bring home the feeling of growth and contribution. I think it would make it feel considerably less jarring and I'd even maybe consider playing it again if we could fix Whiterun.
#asks#uh. i am. so sorry this took so long to answer alsnkwnswk i couldnt word my thoughts on the cw line satisfactorily#idk man the war before you join is this brutal slog that supposedly is severely impacting the entire population#no end in sight because no one has the upper hand#and then the quests just. are more battles. the ones that were getting no one anywhere besides a grave#like if the same battles in the same places werent really getting results youd think youd try literally anything else#sure you get the crown and whoever you bavk gets public support but i dont recall that really resulting#in like. any extra supplies or soldiers or anything#like the whole point is there ARENT any supplies left for ANYONE and people who can be soldiers are#on the basis of 'its literally a CIVIL war' it is an internal thing#and then you do the one (1) not open combat keep storming quest and divert some weapons#fr i think those are the only changes#idk it was super boring to play through and the reward for my efforts was a fucked up whiterun#like. thanks. i cant even fix it???? wtf#anyway this has been in my drafts for WEEKS im just posting this#okay coming back after that last edit actually i have one last thing to say#dawnguard 10/10 for not making you the leader at the end no one listens to you youre just some guy#which is soooooo. great. no one does it like dg im busy i dont wanna lead your fucking guild#and isran would never fucking let you. he would come back as a malevolent ghost if he died and keep running the guild#absolute dawnguard supremacy in cast quests and not making you god spin that fucking chore wheel boy#edited to add the ask game link rip

@lelephantsnail responding to your reply on the WIP game. I think you were part of the group that instigated the VegasPete theatre AU?
basically what I have is what I posted here but I also decided Pete is the new kid in school and Vegas’ usual haunt is the catwalk because Kinn uses a wheelchair and so he never goes up there. I find that I like making some of the characters disabled, if they aren’t in canon. Vegas will be able bodied and incredibly jealous of Kinn in every way; Kinn is the top student, the best actor in the department, now he’s moving into directing and he’s brilliant at that also, he has a magnetic personality, everyone thinks he’s sexy and Vegas HATES him and is absolutely passively trying to get Kinn hurt or killed. One time a fellow student asks Vegas why he’s jealous of Kinn, “cause isn’t that guy, you know...” and Vegas is like, “I will murder you for implying that I’m jealous of my cousin and also wtf are you talking about. Never speak to me again on pain of death.” Sigh. Yeah, that feeds something in my soul.
Okay, this is getting long, but I guess we all know by now that you ask about a WIP and you get a long ass answer.
The himbo!Porsche magic AU is basically KP set in the Deadly Education universe. Porsche and Pete were roommates at a magic school together and both emerged under a pile of debt. Pete goes to work for Kinn’s family to pay off the debt (Pete specializes in illusion magic. He’s not very strong, but he has the precision of a razor blade and is really good at what he does).
Porsche goes to work at Hum Bar, where he will never make enough money to pay off his debts because he specializes in death magic (it’s not a choice - you’re born with you specialty) and he’s wildly powerful. To make matters worse there’s a family prophecy about him that he’s going to turn into the most powerful dark sorcerer of his generation. Yeah, great. He definitely can’t let anyone know about this or go to work for the mafia or a government because powerful organizations would either want to control him and turn him into living weapon or kill him.
Now, here’s the key factor: there are two sources of magic, mana and malia. Mana is generated through hard work (e.g. jogging) but has to be stored somewhere if you want to use it. Storage devices are hard to make and expensive, so obviously Porsche doesn’t have any. Malia is life-force, taken from the spell caster or from some living thing near the spell caster. It doesn’t need to be stored, but if Porsche uses malia he’s GUARANTEED to turn into an evil dark sorcerer because he’s already a destruction machine.
SO! Porsche is an overpowered sorcerer who can cast destructive spells under specific circumstances and is also not very clever.
The opening scene of this fic is Porsche trying to rescue Pete. Porsche and Pete have magic key chains that let them know if one of their friends is in trouble and act as a compass, pointing them in the direction of the friend in trouble.
Porsche wakes up one day and sees that Pete is in trouble. He takes his motorcycle and follows the key chain out into the countryside. Eventually, he has to ditch his bike and bush whack cross country. He find find Pete and Kinn in the middle of woods, lost and injured. At first Kinn is like, Pete! Your friend came to rescue us, this great!
Pete: Porsche, does your phone work?
Porsche: No signal.
Pete: Do you know your way out of here?
Porsche, glancing around: Uh, I think I came from that direction? Or, no, maybe...that way?
Pete, deadpan: Right. Does anyone know you’re out here?
Porsche: ...I told Chay I was going out for a bike ride... But I found you guys!
Pete: Good for you?! What where you planning on doing about it?! Porsche, you idiot, we’re being hunted by a dark sorceress. All you’ve done is add one more warm body I have to protect while we starve in the wilderness. [Because he works for a rich family, normally Pete has access to mana storage devices, but right now he’s using malia to cast, which limits him, unless he wants to go full dark sorcerer].
Porsche: Huh, I guess I didn’t think my rescue plan through.
Pete, almost in tears: No, you didn’t think it through.
Kinn lies and says he’s Petes’ coworker, not his boss. Obviously, he immediately falls in love with chaotic, bratty Porsche.
Chay teams up with some of Porsche’s old school pals to rescue them. The old school pals are 0% surprised when they learn about Porsche’s “rescue plan”.
But back in the city, the dark sorceress is now after Porsche because he seems to be associated with Kinn. Pete and Porsche hatch a hair-brained scheme to keep Porsche away from the sorceress and of course a baffled Kinn accidentally stumbles into the middle of their plans while awkwardly trying to court Porsche...
(Kinn has no magic; Vegas specializes in healing and normally that would mean he’d become a medical professional, but Vegas being Vegas he uses his specialty to torture and kill people. It’s amazing how much damage a misapplied healing spell can do...)

You guys ever think about how there's no general-use 3 star caster? Our 3 star casters are Lava, an AOE caster, and Steward, a core caster. The problem with Steward is his talent that completely changes how he targets enemies, making it so that using him as a normal core caster could sometimes be incredibly unreliable because he isn't targeting necessarily who you want.
Granted, usually you want your casters to be targeting the tanky enemies anyway, but taking away any units ability to reliably attack the front line of enemies is dangerous if you want them to be general purpose. Think about how Ceobe can target both enemies with the highest and lowest defense, but only while her skills are active. She can be a tank buster (sort of), a light unit shredder, or a general purpose caster dependant entirely on what you want in the moment.
Maybe this is all useless talk coming from someone who doesn't use casters very often (I only have one caster E2'd, that being Carnelian since I always keep Amiya in guard mode), but I think a big cause of that is the fact that the 3 stars didn't really get me into using them due to Steward and Lava's more specific usage (although Lava is absolutely general purpose, but still, AOE caster downsides and all).
I guess there's Amiya, who is expected to be your general purpose free caster, but a 5 star general purpose caster doesn't make for a very good trainer like the 3 stars do, y'know? The 3 stars are built to be cheap so you can raise them easily early on and deploy them quickly, and they serve as fantastic training operators as a result. Amiya is a five star and actually costs stuff to promote.
Idunno. I should use casters more often, I'm definitely very biased towards snipers due to the amount of them that are my favorite characters, and also the amount of them that I got early on. My first six star was Ash, and then after her I got Exusiai. I barely even used Kroos and never used Adnachiel, as a matter of fact Adnachiel is still level 1 for me, and he's the only 3 star like that.
I think I just want Reserve Op Caster to be given a skill and then made playable.

OK actually here is a real spicy D&D opinion! articles like this one are fucking stupid and ThinkDM as quoted here is also fucking stupid AND a coward, and more generally the idea that simply because another spell or ability overlaps with an existing one makes one or the other bad is, you guessed it, fucking stupid:
https://screenrant.com/dungeons-dragons-spell-silvery-barbs-shield/
Strixhaven isn't out, but in short if you don't want to click on the article: Silvery Barbs is a L1 spell that can be cast as a reaction and which allows the caster to force a reroll of a successful roll and make the target take the lower roll. It also lets the caster grant an ally the same ability, to be used once. It must be used within one minute.
The argument is that this totally ruins Shield.
Every single piece of this argument is incorrect. There is literally not a single part of it that makes sense. It should be framed and used as a teaching tool of how to be the worst at debate.
First: Shield grants a flat +5 to AC for an entire turn. This grants a reroll at disadvantage. At best, it prevents one or two hits that shield couldn't have helped with. At worst it goes completely to waste.
Second: The argument is that in one D&D stream one developer said Shield is the best spell in the game for its level. But this is apparently better (whispers: it's not, it's very different and hard to compare, you decided it was better) and therefore because it's better than the best spell it must be broken. This is again what we call in the biz (being irritated with math and logic illiteracy on the internet) making up a guy and getting mad at that guy.
Third: ThinkDM, who I shall be calling Misnomer, says "rerolls are just boring" like ok person who's never heard of the concept of advantage or disadvantage or the luck feat or halfling luck or maybe 5-10 different subclass mechanics across various sourcebooks and classes in the game.
For what it's worth from what I've seen of Fizban's, the spells are really OP, and I'm open to the idea that Strixhaven's has some issues, but also if you're a DM and can't handle having to make two rolls at disadvantage? you are just a bad DM.
